1:10 as a plan for the fulnessfullness of time to unite all things in him things in heaven and things on earth
1:11 In him we have obtained an inheritance having been predestined according to the purpose of him who accomplishesworks all things according to the counsel of his will

1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of glory may give you athe spiritSpirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him
1:19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power intoward us who believe according to the working of his great might
1:20 whichthat he accomplishedworked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and madeseated him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places
1:21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named not only in this age but also in thatthe whichone is to come;
1:22 andAnd he has put all things under his feet and hasgave made him theas head over all things forto the church
1:23 which is his body the fulnessfullness of him who fills all in all
2:1 And you he made alive when you were dead throughin the trespasses and sins
2:2 in which you once walked following the course of this world following the prince of the power of the air the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience —
2:3 Amongamong thesewhom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh followingcarrying out the desires of the body and the mind and so we were by nature children of wrath like the rest of mankind
2:4 But God whobeing is rich in mercy outbecause of the great love with which he loved us
2:5 even when we were dead throughin our trespasses made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved —
2:6 and raised us up with him and madeseated us sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus
2:7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus

2:9 not becausea result of works lestso anythat manno shouldone may boast
2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near inby the blood of Christ
2:14 For he himself is our peace who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
2:15 by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments andexpressed in ordinances that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two so making peace
2:16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross thereby bringingkilling the hostility to an end
2:17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near;
2:18 forFor through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father
2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and sojournersaliens but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God
2:20 built uponon the foundation of the apostles and prophets Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone
2:21 in whom the whole structure isbeing joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
2:22 inIn whomhim you also are being built together into it for a dwelling place offor God inby the Spirit
3:1 For this reason I Paul a prisoner forof Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—
3:5 which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
3:6 thatThis mystery is howthat the Gentiles are fellow heirs members of the same body and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel
3:9 and to makebring allto menlight seefor everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things;
3:10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the principalitiesrulers and powersauthorities in the heavenly places
3:11 This was according to the eternal purpose whichthat he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord
3:12 in whom we have boldness and confidenceaccess ofwith accessconfidence through our faith in him
3:16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with mightpower through his Spirit in theyour inner man being
3:17 andso that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; —that you being rooted and grounded in love
3:18 may have powerstrength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth
3:19 and to know the love of Christ whichthat surpasses knowledge that you may be filled with all the fulnessfullness of God
3:20 Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think according to the power at work within us
3:21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus tothroughout all generations forforever ever and ever Amen
4:1 I therefore a prisoner for the Lord begurge you to leadwalk in a lifemanner worthy of the calling to which you have been called
4:2 with all lowlinesshumility and meeknessgentleness with patience forbearingbearing with one another in love
4:4 There is one body and one Spirit —just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call —
4:6 one God and Father of us all who is aboveover all and through all and in all
4:7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christs gift
4:8 Therefore it issays said When he ascended on high he led a host of captives and he gave gifts to men
4:9 In saying He ascended what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower partsregions of the earth
4:10 He who descended is hethe one who also ascended far above all the heavens that he might fill all things
4:11 And hishe giftsgave werethe that some should be apostles somethe prophets somethe evangelists somethe pastorsshepherds and teachers
4:13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God to mature manhood to the measure of the stature of the fulnessfullness of Christ;
4:14 so that we may no longer be children tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about withby every wind of doctrine by thehuman cunning of men by their craftiness in deceitful wiles schemes
4:16 from whom the whole body joined and knitheld together by every joint with which it is suppliedequipped when each part is working properly makes bodilythe growthbody andgrow upbuildsso that it builds itself up in love
4:17 Now this I affirmsay and testify in the Lord that you must no longer livewalk as the Gentiles do in the futility of their minds;
4:18 theyThey are darkened in their understanding alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to their hardness of heart;
4:19 theyThey have become callous and have given themselves up to licentiousnesssensuality greedy to practice every kind of uncleanness impurity
4:20 YouBut didthat is not sothe learnway you learned Christ—
4:22 Putto put off your old natureself which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts desires
4:23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds
4:24 and to put on the new natureself created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness

5:10 and try to learndiscern what is pleasing to the Lord
5:12 For it is ashameful shame even to speak of the things that they do in secret;
5:13 butBut when anything is exposed by the light it becomes visible for anything that becomes visible is light
5:14 for anything that becomes visible is light Therefore it issays said Awake O sleeper and arise from the dead and Christ shallwill giveshine on you light
5:15 Look carefully then how you walk not as unwise men but as wise
5:16 making the mostbest use of the time because the days are evil

5:22 Wives besubmit subject to your own husbands as to the Lord
5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church his body and is himself its Savior
5:24 AsNow as the church issubmits subject to Christ so letalso wives alsoshould besubmit subject in everything to their husbands
5:27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor without spot or wrinkle or any such thing that she might be holy and without blemish
5:28 EvenIn sothe same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies He who loves his wife loves himself
5:29 For no manone ever hateshated his own flesh but nourishes and cherishes it just as Christ does the church
5:31 ForTherefore this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and behold joinedfast to his wife and the two shall become one flesh
5:32 This mystery is a profound one and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church;
