thatwe whichdeclare to you what we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you so that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ |

AndWe we are writing thisthese things so that our joy may be complete |

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all |

If we say that we have fellowship with him while we walkare walking in darkness we lie and do not livedo accordingwhat tois the truthtrue; |

but if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin |

If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us |

If we confess our sins he who is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness |

If we say that we have not sinned we make him a liar and his word is not in us |

My little children I am writing thisthese things to you so that you may not sin; butBut if anyanyone one does sin we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ the righteous; |

and he is the expiationatoning sacrifice for our sins and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world |

AndNow by this we may be sure that we know him if we keepobey his commandments |

HeWhoever who says I have come to know him but disobeysdoes not obey his commandments is a liar and in such a person the truth isdoes not in himexist; |

but whoever keepsobeys his word truly in himthis trulyperson the love forof God ishas perfectedreached perfection By this we may be sure that we are in him: |

Beloved I am writing you no new commandment but an old commandment whichthat you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word whichthat you have heard |

Yet I am writing you a new commandment whichthat is true in him and in you because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining |

HeWhoever who says heI isam in the light andwhile hateshating hisa brother or sister is still in the darkness still |

HeWhoever who loves hisa brother abidesor sister lives in the light and in itsuch a person there is no cause for stumbling |

But hewhoever who hates hisanother brotherbeliever is in the darkness and walks in the darkness and does not know wherethe heway isto goinggo because the darkness has blindedbrought hison eyesblindness |

I am writing to you little children because your sins are forgiven foron account of his sake name |

I am writing to you fathers because you know him who is from the beginning I am writing to you young menpeople because you have overcomeconquered the evil one I write to you children because you know the Father |

Do not love the world or the things in the world IfThe any one loves the world love forof the Father is not in himthose who love the world; |

Little children let no one deceive you HeEveryone who does what is right is righteous just as he is righteous |

HeEveryone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has sinnedbeen sinning from the beginning The reason the Son of God appeared was revealed for this purpose to destroy the works of the devil |

ButHow ifdoes anyGods onelove abide in anyone who has the worlds goods and sees hisa brother or sister in need and yet closesrefuses his heart against him how does Gods love abide in him help |

Little children let us love not love in word or speech but in deedtruth and inaction truth |

ByAnd by this we shallwill know that we are offrom the truth and will reassure our hearts before him |

Beloved if our hearts do not condemn us we have confidenceboldness before God; |

and every spirit whichthat does not confess Jesus is not offrom God ThisAnd this is the spirit of the antichrist of which you have heard that it wasis coming; and now it is already in the world already |

So we knowhave known and believe the love that God has for us God is love and hethose who abidesabide in love abidesabide in God and God abides in himthem |

InLove thishas isbeen love perfected withamong us in this: that we may have confidenceboldness foron the day of judgment because as he is so are we in this world |

This is hethe one who came by water and blood Jesus Christ not with the water only but with the water and the blood And the Spirit is the one that testifies for the Spirit is the truth |

AndThere theare Spiritthree isthat thetestify: witness because the Spirit is the truth |

There are three witnesses the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree |

If we receive thehuman testimony of men the testimony of God is greater; for this is the testimony of God that he has bornetestified witness to his Son |

HeThose who believesbelieve in the Son of God hashave the testimony in himselftheir Hehearts Those who doesdo not believe in God hashave made him a liar becauseby he has not believedbelieving in the testimony that God has bornegiven toconcerning his Son |

If anyyou onesee seesyour his brother or sister committing what is not a mortal sin heyou will ask and God will give him life forto such a one—to those whose sin is not mortal There is sin whichthat is mortal; I do not say that oneyou isshould to pray forabout that |

All wrongdoing is sin but there is sin whichthat is not mortal |

We know that anythose onewho are born of God doesdo not sin but Hethe one who was born of God keepsprotects himthem and the evil one does not touch himthem |

We know that we are ofGods Godchildren and that the whole world islies inunder the power of the evil one |

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding toso that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true in his Son Jesus Christ ThisHe is the true God and eternal life |
