27:16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, andAnd prepare raiment as the clay;
27:17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, andAnd the innocent shall divide the silver.
27:18 He buildeth his house as athe moth, andAnd as a booth thatwhich the keeper maketh.
27:19 TheHe richlieth mandown shall lie downrich, but he shall not be gathered:; heHe openeth his eyes, and he is not.
27:20 Terrors takeovertake hold on him aslike waters,; aA tempest stealeth him away in the night.
27:21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth:; andAnd asit asweepeth storm hurleth him out of his place.
27:22 For God shall casthurl uponat him, and not spare: heHe would fain flee out of his hand.
27:23 Men shall clap their hands at him, andAnd shall hiss him out of his place.
28:1 Surely there is a veinmine for the silver, andAnd a place for gold wherewhich they fine itrefine.
28:2 Iron is taken out of the earth, andAnd brass is molten out of the stone.
28:3 HeMan setteth an end to darkness, andAnd searcheth out allto perfection: the furthest bound The stones of thick darkness, and of the shadow of death.

28:9 He putteth forth his hand upon the flinty rock; heHe overturneth the mountains by the roots.
28:10 He cutteth out riverschannels among the rocks; andAnd his eye seeth every precious thing.
28:11 He bindeth the floodsstreams fromthat overflowingthey trickle not; andAnd the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.
28:12 But where shall wisdom be found? andAnd where is the place of understanding?
28:13 Man knoweth not the price thereof; neitherNeither is it found in the land of the living.
28:14 The depthdeep saith, It is not in me: andAnd the sea saith, It is not with me.
28:15 It cannot be gotten for gold, neitherNeither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.

28:21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, andAnd kept close from the fowls of the air.
28:22 Destruction and deathDeath say, We have heard thea famerumour thereof with our ears.
28:23 God understandeth the way thereof, andAnd he knoweth the place thereof.

28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; andAnd to depart from evil is understanding.
29:1 MoreoverAnd Job continuedagain took up his parable, and said,
29:2 Oh that I were as in the months pastof old, asAs in the days when God preservedwatched over me;
29:3 When his candlelamp shined upon my head, andAnd when by his light I walked through darkness;
29:4 As I was in the daysripeness of my youthdays, whenWhen the secret of God was upon my tabernacletent;
29:5 When the Almighty was yet with me, whenAnd my children were about me;
29:6 When I washed my steps were washed with butter, andAnd the rock poured me out rivers of oil;!
29:7 When I went outforth to the gate throughunto the city, whenWhen I prepared my seat in the street!,

29:11 WhenFor when the ear heard me, then it blessed me; andAnd when the eye saw me, it gave witness tounto me:
29:12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, andThe thefatherless fatherlessalso, and him that had none to help him.
29:13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: andAnd I caused the widows heart to sing for joy.
29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: myMy judgmentjustice was as a robe and a diadem.
29:15 I was eyes to the blind, andAnd feet was I to the lame.
29:16 I was a father to the poorneedy: andAnd the cause whichof him that I knew not I searched out.
29:17 And I brake the jaws of the wickedunrighteous, andAnd plucked the spoilprey out of his teeth.
29:18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, andAnd I shall multiply my days as the sand.:
29:19 My root wasis spread out byto the waters, andAnd the dew laylieth all night upon my branch.:
29:20 My glory wasis fresh in me, andAnd my bow wasis renewed in my hand.
29:21 Unto me men gave ear, and waited, andAnd kept silence atfor my counsel.
29:22 After my words they spake not again; andAnd my speech dropped upon them.
29:23 And they waited for me as for the rain; andAnd they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.
29:24 If I laughed on them, they believed it not; andAnd the light of my countenance they cast not down.
29:25 I chose out their way, and sat as chief, andAnd dwelt as a king in the army, asAs one that comforteth the mourners.
30:1 But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whoseWhose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
30:2 Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands, whereto should it profit me,? Men in whom oldripe age wasis perished?.

30:7 Among the bushes they brayedbray; underUnder the nettles they wereare gathered together.
30:8 They wereare children of fools, yea, children of base men:; theyThey were vilerscourged thanout of the earthland.
30:9 And now I am Ibecome their song, yeaYea, I am theira byword unto them.
30:10 They abhor me, they fleestand faraloof from me, andAnd spare not to spit in my face.
30:11 BecauseFor he hath loosed myhis cord, and afflicted me, And they have alsocast letoff loose the bridle before me.
30:12 Upon my right hand rise the youthrabble; theyThey pushthrust awayaside my feet, andAnd they raisecast up against me thetheir ways of their destruction.
30:13 They mar my path, theyThey set forward my calamity, theyEven men that have no helper.

30:15 Terrors are turned upon me:, theyThey pursuechase mymine soulhonour as the wind:; andAnd my welfare passethis passed away as a cloud.
30:16 And now my soul is poured out uponwithin me; theDays days of affliction have taken hold upon me.
30:17 MyIn the night season my bones are pierced in me, inAnd the nightpains season:that andgnaw myme sinews take no rest.
30:18 By the great force of my disease is my garment changed:disfigured itIt bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
30:19 He hath cast me into the mire, andAnd I am become like dust and ashes.
30:20 I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hearanswer me: I stand up, and thou regardestlookest at me not.
30:21 Thou art becometurned to be cruel to me: withWith the might of thy strong hand thou opposestpersecutest thyself against me.
30:22 Thou liftest me up to the wind;, thou causest me to ride upon it,; andAnd thou dissolvest myme substancein the storm.
30:23 For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, andAnd to the house appointed for all living.
30:24 HowbeitSurely against a ruinous heap he will not stretchput outforth his hand; toThough theit gravebe in his destruction, thoughone theymay utter a cry inbecause hisof destructionthese things.
30:25 Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? wasWas not my soul grieved for the poorneedy?

31:3 Is it not destructioncalamity to the wicked?unrighteous, andAnd adisaster strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
31:4 Doth not he see my ways, andAnd countnumber all my steps?
31:5 If I have walked with vanity, orAnd if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
31:6 Let me be weighed in an even balance, thatThat God may know mine integrity.;
31:7 If my step hath turned out of the way, andAnd mine heart walked after mine eyes, andAnd if any blotspot hath cleaved to mine hands;:
31:8 Then let me sow, and let another eat; yeaYea, let the produce of my offspringfield be rooted out.
31:9 If mine heart have been deceivedenticed byunto a woman, orAnd if I have laid wait at my neighbours door;:

31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? andAnd did not one fashion us in the womb?
31:16 If I have withheld the poor from their desire, orOr have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
31:17 Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, andAnd the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;
31:18 ForNay, from my youth he wasgrew brought up with me, as with a father, andAnd I have guidedbeen her guide from my mothers womb;

33:8 Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, andAnd I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,
33:9 I am clean, without transgression,; I am innocent;, neither is there iniquity in me.:
33:10 Behold, he findeth occasions against me, heHe counteth me for his enemy,;
33:11 He putteth my feet in the stocks, heHe marketh all my paths.
33:12 Behold, I will answer thee, in this thou art not just:; IFor will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
33:13 Why dost thou strive against him? forFor he giveth not account of any of his matters.
33:14 For God speaketh once, yeaYea twice, yetthough man perceivethregardeth it not.
33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, whenWhen deep sleep falleth upon men, inIn slumberings upon the bed;
33:16 Then he openeth the ears of men, andAnd sealeth their instruction,
33:17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, andAnd hide pride from man.;
33:18 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, andAnd his life from perishing by the sword.
33:19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, andAnd thewith multitudecontinual ofstrife in his bones with strong pain:
33:20 So that his life abhorreth bread, andAnd his soul dainty meat.
33:21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; andAnd his bones that were not seen stick out.
33:22 Yea, his soul draweth near unto the gravepit, andAnd his life to the destroyers.
33:23 If there be a messenger with him, an angel, An interpreter, one among a thousand, toTo shew unto man hiswhat uprightness:is right for him;
33:24 Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit:, I have found a ransom.
33:25 His flesh shall be fresher than a childs:; heHe shallreturneth return to the days of his youth:
33:26 He shallprayeth pray unto God, and he willis be favourable unto him:; andSo that he shallseeth see his face with joy: forAnd he willrestoreth render unto man his righteousness.
33:27 He lookethsingeth uponbefore men, and if any saysaith, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, andAnd it profited me not;:
33:28 He willhath deliverredeemed hismy soul from going into the pit, andAnd hismy life shall seebehold the light.
33:29 Lo, all these things workethdoth God oftentimeswork, Twice, yea thrice, with a man,
33:30 To bring back his soul from the pit, toThat he may be enlightened with the light of the living.
33:31 Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: holdHold thy peace, and I will speak.
33:32 If thou hast anythingany thing to say, answer me: speakSpeak, for I desire to justify thee.
33:33 If not, hearken thou unto me: holdHold thy peace, and I shallwill teach thee wisdom.
34:1 FurthermoreMoreover Elihu answered and said,
34:2 Hear my words, O ye wise men; andAnd give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
34:3 For the ear trieth words, asAs the mouthpalate tasteth meat.
34:4 Let us choose tofor us judgmentthat which is right: letLet us know among ourselves what is good.
34:5 For Job hath said, I am righteous:, andAnd God hath taken away my judgment.right:
34:6 ShouldNotwithstanding my right I lieam againstaccounted mya right?liar; myMy wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.
34:7 What man is like Job, whoWho drinketh up scorning like water?
34:8 Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, andAnd walketh with wicked men.
34:9 For he hath said, Itit profiteth a man nothing thatThat he should delight himself with God.
34:10 Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: farFar be it from God, that he should do wickedness; andAnd from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
34:11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, andAnd cause every man to find according to his ways.
34:12 Yea, surelyof a surety, God will not do wickedly, neitherNeither will the Almighty pervert judgmentjudgement.
34:13 Who hathgave given him a charge over the earth? orOr who hath disposed the whole world?
34:14 If he set his heart upon man, ifIf he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
34:15 All flesh shall perish together, andAnd man shall turn again unto dust.
34:16 If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearkenHearken to the voice of my words.
34:17 Shall even heone that hateth right govern? andAnd wilt thou condemn him that is mostjust justand mighty?
34:18 Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wickedvile? andOr to princesnobles, Ye are ungodlywicked?
34:19 How much less to him that acceptethrespecteth not the persons of princes, norNor regardeth the rich more than the poor? forFor they all are the work of his hands.
34:20 In a moment shall they die, andeven theat peoplemidnight; shallThe bepeople troubledare atshaken midnight, and pass away:, andAnd the mighty shallare be taken away without hand.
34:21 For his eyes are upon the ways of a man, andAnd he seeth all his goings.
34:22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, whereWhere the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
34:23 For he willneedeth not layfurther uponto manconsider morea thanman, right;That that he should entergo intobefore judgmentGod within Godjudgement.
34:24 He shallbreaketh break in pieces mighty men withoutin numberways past finding out, andAnd setsetteth others in their stead.
34:25 Therefore he knowethtaketh knowledge of their works,; andAnd he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
34:26 He striketh them as wicked men inIn the open sight of others;
34:27 Because they turned backaside from following him, andAnd would not considerhave regard to any of his ways:
34:28 So that they causecaused the cry of the poor to come unto him, andAnd he hearethheard the cry of the afflicted.
34:29 When he giveth quietness, who then can make troublecondemn? andAnd when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whetherWhether it be done againstunto a nation, or againstunto a man, onlyalike:
34:30 That the hypocritegodless man reign not, lestThat there be none to ensnare the people be ensnared.
34:31 SurelyFor ithath isany meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
34:32 That which I see not teach thou me: ifIf I have done iniquity, I will do it no more.?
34:33 ShouldShall ithis recompence be accordingas tothou thywilt, mind?that hethou willrefusest recompense it,? whetherFor thou refuse,must or whether thou choose;, and not I: thereforeTherefore speak what thou knowest.
34:34 LetMen men of understanding tellwill say unto me, andYea, letevery a wise man hearkenthat untoheareth me.:
34:35 Job hathspeaketh spoken without knowledge, andAnd his words wereare without wisdom.
34:36 MyWould desire is that Job maywere be tried unto the end, becauseBecause of his answersanswering forlike wicked men.
34:37 For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, heHe clappeth his hands among us, andAnd multiplieth his words against God.
35:1 Moreover Elihu spakeanswered moreover, and said,
35:2 Thinkest thou this to be thy right, thatOr sayest thou saidst, My righteousness is more than Gods?,
35:3 ForThat thou saidstsayest, What advantage will it be unto thee? andAnd, What profit shall I have, more than if I behad cleansed from my sinsinned?
35:4 I will answer thee, andAnd thy companions with thee.
35:5 Look unto the heavens, and see; andAnd behold the cloudsskies, which are higher than thou.
35:6 If thou sinnesthast sinned, what doest thou against him? orAnd if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?.
35:7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? orOr what receiveth he of thine hand?
35:8 Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; andAnd thy righteousness may profit thea son of man.
35:9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they makecry theout; oppressedThey to cry: theyfor cryhelp out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
35:10 But none saith, Where is God my makerMaker, whoWho giveth songs in the night;
35:11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, andAnd maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
35:12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, becauseBecause of the pride of evil men.
35:13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neitherNeither will the Almighty regard it.
35:14 AlthoughHow much less when thou sayest thou shaltbeholdest him not see him, yetThe judgmentcause is before him;, thereforeand trust thou inwaitest for him.!
35:15 But now, because ithe ishath not so, he hath visited in his anger;, yetNeither doth he knowethgreatly itregard not in great extremity:arrogance;
35:16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vainvanity; heHe multiplieth words without knowledge.
36:2 Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee: thatFor I have yet somewhat to speaksay on Gods behalf.
36:3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, andAnd will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
36:4 For truly my words shallare not be false: heOne that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
36:5 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: heHe is mighty in strength andof wisdomunderstanding.
36:6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: butBut giveth right to the poorafflicted their right.
36:7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: butBut with kings areupon they on the throne; yea,He hesetteth doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
36:8 And if they be bound in fetters, andAnd be holdentaken in the cords of affliction;
36:9 Then he sheweth them their work, andAnd their transgressions, that they have exceededbehaved themselves proudly.
36:10 He openeth also their ear to disciplineinstruction, andAnd commandeth that they return from iniquity.
36:11 If they obeyhearken and serve him, theyThey shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
36:12 But if they obeyhearken not, they shall perish by the sword, andAnd they shall die without knowledge.
36:13 But thethey hypocritesthat are godless in heart heaplay up wrathanger: theyThey cry not for help when he bindeth them.
36:14 They die in youth, andAnd their life isperisheth among the unclean.
36:15 He delivereth the poorafflicted inby his affliction, andAnd openeth their earsear in oppression.
36:16 EvenYea, sohe would he have removedled thee away out of thedistress straitInto into a broad place, where there is no straitness; andAnd that which shouldis be set on thy table should be full of fatness.
36:17 But thou hastart fulfilledfull of the judgmentjudgement of the wicked: judgmentJudgement and justice take hold on thee.
36:18 Because there is wrath, beware lest hethou takebe theeled away withby histhy stroke:sufficiency; thenNeither alet greatthe greatness of the ransom cannotturn deliverthee theeaside.
36:19 Will he esteem thy riches? nosuffice, that thou be not goldin distress, norOr all the forces of thy strength.?
36:20 Desire not the night, whenWhen peoplepeoples are cut off in their place.
36:21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: forFor this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
36:22 Behold, God exaltethdoeth byloftily in his power: whoWho teachethis a teacher like unto him?
36:23 Who hath enjoined him his way? orOr who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquityunrighteousness?
36:24 Remember that thou magnify his work, whichWhereof men beholdhave sung.
36:25 EveryAll manmen mayhave seelooked itthereon; manMan maybeholdeth behold it afar off.
36:26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not,; neitherThe can the number of his years beis searched outunsearchable.
36:27 For he makethdraweth smallup the drops of water:, theyWhich pourdistil downin rain accordingfrom tohis the vapour thereof:

37:3 He directethsendeth it forth under the whole heaven, andAnd his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
37:4 After it a voice roareth:; heHe thundereth with the voice of his excellency;majesty: andAnd he willstayeth them not stay them when his voice is heard.
37:5 God thundereth marvellouslymarvelously with his voice; greatGreat things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
37:6 For he saith to the snow, BeFall thou on the earth; likewiseLikewise to the smallshower of rain, andAnd to the greatshowers rain of his strengthmighty rain.
37:7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; thatThat all men whom he hath made may know his workit.
37:8 Then the beasts go into denscoverts, andAnd remain in their placesdens.
37:9 Out of the chamber of the south cometh the whirlwindstorm: andAnd cold out of the north.
37:10 By the breath of God frostice is given: andAnd the breadth of the waters is straitened.
37:11 AlsoYea, by watering he weariethladeth the thick cloud: hewith scatterethmoisture; hisHe brightspreadeth abroad the cloud of his lightning:
