Grace bemercy withpeace youshall mercybe andwith peaceus from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of the Father in truth and love |

I rejoicedrejoice greatly that I have found certain of thy children walking in truth even as we have received a commandment from the Father |

And now I beseech thee lady not as though I wrote to thee a new commandment unto thee but that which we had from the beginning that we love one another |

And this is love that we should walk after his commandments This is the commandment Thateven as ye have heard from the beginning that ye should walk in it |

For many deceivers are enteredgone forth into the world whoeven they that confess not that Jesus Christ iscometh come in the flesh This is athe deceiver and anthe antichrist |

Look to yourselves that weye lose not thosethe things which we have wrought but that weye receive a full reward |

Whosoever transgressethgoeth onward and abideth not in the doctrineteaching of Christ hath not God: Hehe that abideth in the doctrineteaching ofthe Christsame he hath both the Father and the Son |

If thereany comeone anycometh unto you and bringbringeth not this doctrineteaching receive him not into your house neitherand bidgive him Godno speedgreeting: |

Forfor he that biddethgiveth him Godgreeting speedpartaketh isin partaker of his evil deedsworks |

Having many things to write unto you I would not write them with paper and ink: but I trusthope to come unto you and to speak face to face that ouryour joy may be made full |
