| 1:1 |
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separatedset untoapart for the gospelGood News of God, |
| 1:2 |
which he promised aforebefore through his prophets in the holy scripturesScriptures, |
| 1:3 |
concerning his Son, who was born of the seedoffspring of David according to the flesh, |
| 1:4 |
who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spiritSpirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead;, even Jesus Christ our Lord, |
| 1:5 |
through whom we received grace and apostleship, untofor obedience of faith among all the nations, for his names sake; |
| 1:6 |
among whom you are ye also, called to bebelong to Jesus Christs:Christ; |
| 1:7 |
to all thatwho are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 1:8 |
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you all, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. |
| 1:9 |
For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospelGood News of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, always in my prayers, |
| 1:10 |
making requestrequesting, if by any means now at lengthlast I may be prospered by the will of God to come untoto you. |
| 1:11 |
For I long to see you, that I may impart untoto you some spiritual gift, to the end yethat you may be established; |
| 1:12 |
that is, that I with you may be comfortedencouraged in you, each of us by the others faith, both yours and mine. |
| 1:13 |
AndNow I woulddont notdesire to have you ignorantunaware, brethrenbrothers, that oftentimes I purposedoften planned to come untoto you and was hindered hithertoso far, that I might have some fruit inamong you also, even as inamong the rest of the Gentiles. |
| 1:14 |
I am debtor both to Greeks and to Barbariansforeigners, both to the wise and to the foolish. |
| 1:15 |
So, as much as is in me is, I am readyeager to preach the gospelGood News to you also thatwho are in Rome. |
| 1:16 |
For I am not ashamed of the gospel:Good forNews of Christ, because it is the power of God untofor salvation tofor everyeveryone onewho thatbelieves, believeth;for to the Jew first, and also tofor the Greek. |
| 1:17 |
For thereinin it is revealed aGods righteousness of God from faith untoto faith:. asAs it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith. |
| 1:18 |
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hindersuppress the truth in unrighteousness;, |
| 1:19 |
because that which is known of God is manifestrevealed in them;, for God manifestedrevealed it untoto them. |
| 1:20 |
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity;, that they may be without excuse:. |
| 1:21 |
becauseBecause that, knowing God, they glorifieddidnt glorify him not as God, neitherand gavedidnt give thanks;, but became vain in their reasoningsreasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. |
| 1:23 |
and changedtraded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four footed beastsanimals, and creeping things. |
| 1:24 |
WhereforeTherefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts untoto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves:; |
| 1:25 |
forwho that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshippedworshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for everforever. Amen. |
| 1:26 |
For this causereason, God gave them up untoto vile passions:. forFor their women changed the natural usefunction into that which is against nature:. |
| 1:27 |
andLikewise likewise also the men, leaving the natural usefunction of the woman, burned in their lust toward one toward another, men doing what is inappropriate with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves thatthe recompensedue penalty of their error which was due. |
| 1:28 |
AndEven even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up untoto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; |
| 1:29 |
being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousnessmalice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity;evil whisperershabits, secret slanderers, |
| 1:30 |
backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughtyarrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, |
| 1:31 |
without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful:; |
| 1:32 |
who, knowing the ordinance of God, that theythose thatwho practisepractice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consentapprove withof themthose thatwho practisepractice them. |
| 2:1 |
WhereforeTherefore thouyou artare without excuse, O man, whosoeverwhoever thouyou artare thatwho judgest:judge. forFor whereinin thouthat judgestwhich you judge another, thouyou condemnestcondemn thyself;yourself. forFor thouyou thatwho judgestjudge dostpractice practise the same things. |
| 2:2 |
AndWe we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against themthose thatwho practisepractice such things. |
| 2:3 |
AndDo reckonestyou thouthink this, O man, who judgestjudges themthose thatwho practisepractice such things, and doestdo the same, that thouyou shaltwill escape the judgment of God? |
| 2:4 |
Or despisestdo thouyou despise the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and longsufferingpatience, not knowing that the goodness of God leadethleads theeyou to repentance? |
| 2:5 |
butBut afteraccording thyto your hardness and impenitentunrepentant heart treasurestyou are treasuring up for thyselfyourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;, |
| 2:6 |
who will renderpay back to everyeveryone man according to histheir works: |
| 2:7 |
to themthose thatwho by patienceperseverance in well doing seek for glory, and honor, and incorruptionincorruptibility, eternal life:; |
| 2:8 |
but untoto themthose thatwho are factious, self seeking and dont obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shallwill be wrath, and indignation, |
| 2:9 |
tribulationoppression, and anguish, uponon every soul of man thatwho workethdoes evil, ofto the Jew first, and also ofto the Greek;. |
| 2:10 |
butBut glory, and honor, and peace go to every man thatwho workethdoes good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:. |
| 2:11 |
forFor there is no respectpartiality of persons with God. |
| 2:12 |
For as many as have sinned without the law shallwill also perish without the law:. andAs as many as have sinned under the law shallwill be judged by the law;. |
| 2:13 |
forFor notit isnt the hearers of the law who are justrighteous before God, but the doers of the law shallwill be justified; |
| 2:14 |
for when Gentiles thatwho dont have not the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are thea law untoto themselves;, |
| 2:15 |
in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearingtestifying witnesswith therewiththem, and their thoughts oneamong withthemselves another accusing or else excusing them; |
| 2:16 |
in the day when God shallwill judge the secrets of men, according to my gospelGood News, by Jesus Christ. |
| 2:17 |
ButIndeed ifyou thoubear bearest the name of a Jew, andrest resteston upon the law, andglory gloriest in God, |
| 2:18 |
andknow knowest his will, and approvestapprove the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, |
| 2:19 |
and artare confident that thouyou thyselfyourself artare a guide of the blind, a light ofto themthose thatwho are in darkness, |
| 2:20 |
a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babesbabies, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth;. |
| 2:21 |
thouYou therefore thatwho teachestteach another, teachestdont thouyou notteach thyselfyourself? thouYou who preach that preachest a man shouldshouldnt not steal, dostdo thouyou steal? |
| 2:22 |
thouYou thatwho sayestsay a man shouldshouldnt not commit adultery, dostdo thouyou commit adultery? thouYou thatwho abhorrestabhor idols, dostdo thouyou rob temples? |
| 2:23 |
thouYou who gloriestglory in the law, throughdo thyyou transgressiondishonor ofGod by disobeying the law dishonorest thou God? |
| 2:24 |
For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, evenjust as it is written. |
| 2:25 |
For circumcision indeed profitethprofits, if thouyou beare a doer of the law:, but if thouyou beare a transgressor of the law, thyyour circumcision ishas become uncircumcision. |
| 2:26 |
If therefore the uncircumcisionuncircumcised keep the ordinances of the law, shallwont not his uncircumcision be reckonedaccounted foras circumcision? |
| 2:27 |
andWont shallthose notwho theare uncircumcisionphysically which is by natureuncircumcised, ifbut itfulfill fulfil the law, judge theeyou, who with the letter and circumcision artare a transgressor of the law? |
| 2:28 |
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly;, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:; |
| 2:29 |
but he is a Jew who is one inwardly;, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not offrom men, but offrom God. |
| 3:1 |
WhatThen what advantage thendoes hath the Jew have? orOr what is the profit of circumcision? |
| 3:2 |
Much in every way:! Because first of all, that they were intrustedentrusted with the oraclesrevelations of God. |
| 3:3 |
For what if some were without faith? shallWill their wantlack of faith makenullify of none effect the faithfulness of God? |
| 3:4 |
GodMay forbid:it yeanever be! Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar;. asAs it is written, Thatthat thouyou mightestmight be justified in thyyour words, Andand mightestmight prevail when thouyou comestcome into judgment. |
| 3:5 |
But if our unrighteousness commendethcommends the righteousness of God, what shallwill we say? Is God unrighteous who visitethinflicts with wrath? I speak afterlike themen manner of mendo. |
| 3:6 |
GodMay forbid:it fornever be! For then how shallwill God judge the world? |
| 3:7 |
ButFor if the truth of God through my lie abounded untoto his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? |
| 3:8 |
andWhy why not as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say, LetLets us do evil, that good may come? whoseThose condemnationwho issay justso are justly condemned. |
| 3:9 |
What then? areAre we better than they? No, in no wise:way. forFor we beforepreviously laidwarned to the charge both of Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin;. |
| 3:10 |
asAs it is written, There is noneno one righteous,; no, not one;. |
| 3:11 |
There is noneno thatone understandeth, who understands. There is noneno thatone seekethwho seeks after God;. |
| 3:12 |
They have all turned aside, away. theyThey arehave together become unprofitable;. There is noneno thatone doethwho does good, no, not so much as one:. |
| 3:13 |
Their throat is an open sepulchre;tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit:. The poison of aspsvipers is under their lips:. |
| 3:14 |
WhoseTheir mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:. |
| 3:15 |
Their feet are swift to shed blood;. |
| 3:16 |
Destruction and misery are in their ways;. |
| 3:17 |
AndThe the way of peace, have they nothavent known:. |
| 3:19 |
Now we know that whatwhatever things soever the law saithsays, it speakethspeaks to themthose thatwho are under the law;, that every mouth may be stoppedclosed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:. |
| 3:20 |
becauseBecause by the works of the law, shall no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comethcomes the knowledge of sin. |
| 3:21 |
But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God hathhas been manifestedrevealed, being witnessedtestified by the law and the prophets; |
| 3:22 |
even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ untoto all themand thaton all those who believe;. forFor there is no distinction;, |
| 3:24 |
being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:, |
| 3:25 |
whom God setsent forth to be aan propitiation, atoning sacrifice through faith, in his blood, tofor showa demonstration of his righteousness becausethrough of the passing over of theprior sins done aforetime, in theGods forbearance of God; |
| 3:26 |
forto thedemonstrate showing, I say, of his righteousness at this present season:time, that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him thatwho hathhas faith in Jesus. |
| 3:27 |
Where then is the gloryingboasting? It is excluded. By what mannerkind of law? ofOf works? Nay:No, but by a law of faith. |
| 3:28 |
We reckonmaintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. |
| 3:29 |
Or is God the God of Jews only? isIsnt he not the God of Gentiles also? YeaYes, of Gentiles also:, |
| 3:30 |
ifsince soindeed bethere that God is one, andGod hewho shallwill justify the circumcisioncircumcised by faith, and the uncircumcisionuncircumcised through faith. |
| 3:31 |
Do we then makenullify the law of none effect through faith? GodMay forbid:it naynever be! No, we establish the law. |
| 4:1 |
What then shallwill we say that Abraham, our forefather, hathhas found according to the flesh? |
| 4:2 |
For if Abraham was justified by works, he hathhas whereofsomething to glory;boast about, but not toward God. |
| 4:3 |
For what saithdoes the scriptureScripture say? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckonedaccounted untoto him for righteousness. |
| 4:4 |
Now to him thatwho workethworks, the reward is not reckonedcounted as of grace, but as ofsomething debtowed. |
| 4:5 |
But to him thatwho workethdoesnt notwork, but believethbelieves onin him thatwho justifiethjustifies the ungodly, his faith is reckonedaccounted for righteousness. |
| 4:6 |
Even as David also pronouncethpronounces blessing uponon the man, untoto whom God reckonethcounts righteousness apart from works,: |
| 4:7 |
saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. |
| 4:8 |
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will notby reckonno means charge with sin. |
| 4:9 |
Is this blessing then pronounced upononly on the circumcisioncircumcised, or uponon the uncircumcisionuncircumcised also? forFor we say, Tothat Abraham his faith was reckonedaccounted to Abraham for righteousness. |
| 4:10 |
How then was it reckonedcounted? whenWhen he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision:. |
| 4:11 |
andHe he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision:, that he might be the father of all themthose thatwho believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be reckonedaccounted untoto them;. |
| 4:12 |
andHe is the father of circumcision to themthose who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had in uncircumcision. |
| 4:13 |
For not through the law was the promise to Abraham orand to his seedoffspring that he shouldwould be heir of the world wasnt through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. |
| 4:14 |
For if theythose thatwho are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of noneno effect:. |
| 4:15 |
forFor the law workethproduces wrath; butfor where there is no law, neither is there transgressiondisobedience. |
| 4:16 |
For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace;, to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed;offspring, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all. |
| 4:17 |
asAs it is written, AI have made you a father of many nations. haveThis Iis madein theethe beforepresence of him whom he believed,: even God, who givethgives life to the dead, and callethcalls the things that are not, as though they were. |
| 4:18 |
WhoAgainst hope, Abraham in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shallwill thyyour seedoffspring be. |
| 4:19 |
AndWithout without being weakened in faith, he considereddidnt consider his own body, nowalready ashaving goodbeen asworn deadout, he being about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarahs womb;. |
| 4:20 |
yetYet, looking untoto the promise of God, he wavereddidnt notwaver through unbelief, but waxedgrew strong through faith, giving glory to God, |
| 4:21 |
and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was also able also to perform. |
| 4:22 |
WhereforeTherefore it also it was reckonedcredited untoto him for righteousness. |
| 4:23 |
Now it was not written forthat hisit sakewas alone, accounted thatto ithim wasfor reckonedhis untosake him;alone, |
| 4:24 |
but for our sake also, untoto whom it shallwill be reckonedaccounted, who believe onin him thatwho raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, |
| 5:2 |
through whom we also we have had our access by faith into this grace whereinin which we stand;. andWe we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. |
| 5:3 |
AndNot not only sothis, but we also rejoice in our tribulations:sufferings, knowing that tribulationsuffering workethproduces stedfastnessperseverance; |
| 5:4 |
and stedfastnessperseverance, approvednessproven character; and approvednessproven character, hope:; |
| 5:5 |
and hope puttethdoesnt notdisappoint tous, shame; because theGods love ofhas God hath been shedpoured abroadinto in our hearts through the Holy Spirit whichwho was given untoto us. |
| 5:6 |
For while we were yet weak, inat duethe seasonright time Christ died for the ungodly. |
| 5:7 |
For scarcelyone will hardly die for a righteous man. willYet oneperhaps die: for peradventurea for the good manperson somesomeone one would even dare to die. |
| 5:8 |
But God commendethcommends his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. |
| 5:9 |
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we will be saved from theGods wrath of God through him. |
| 5:10 |
For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we will be saved by his life;. |
| 5:11 |
andNot not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. |
| 5:12 |
Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin;, and so death passed untoto all men, forbecause that all sinned:—. |
| 5:13 |
forFor until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not imputedcharged when there is no law. |
| 5:14 |
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over themthose thatwhose hadsins notwerent sinnedlike after the likeness of Adams transgressiondisobedience, who is a figureforeshadowing of him thatwho was to come. |
| 5:15 |
But not as the trespass, free sogift alsoisnt islike the free gifttrespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound untoto the many. |
| 5:16 |
AndThe gift is not as through one thatwho sinned,; so is the gift: for the judgment came ofby one untoto condemnation, but the free gift camefollowed of many trespasses untoto justification. |
| 5:17 |
For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more shallwill theythose thatwho receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, even Jesus Christ. |
| 5:18 |
So then as through one trespass, the judgment came unto all men towere condemnationcondemned; even so through one act of righteousness, the free gift came unto all men towere justificationjustified ofto life. |
| 5:19 |
For as through the one mans disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, shallmany thewill many be made righteous. |
| 5:20 |
AndThe the law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace didabounded abound more exceedingly:, |
| 5:21 |
that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace might grace reign through righteousness untoto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| 6:2 |
GodMay forbid.it never be! We who died to sin, how shallcould we live in it any longer live therein? |
| 6:3 |
Or aredont yeyou ignorantknow that all weof us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? |
| 6:4 |
We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death:, that likejust as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. |
| 6:5 |
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shallwill be also inbe thepart likeness of his resurrection; |
| 6:6 |
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that so we shouldwould no longer be in bondage to sin;. |
| 6:7 |
forFor he thatwho hathhas died ishas justifiedbeen freed from sin. |
| 6:8 |
But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shallwill also live with him;, |
| 6:9 |
knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, diethdies no more;. deathDeath no morelonger hathhas dominion over him.! |
| 6:10 |
For the death that he died, he died untoto sin once:one time; but the life that he livethlives, he livethlives untoto God. |
| 6:11 |
EvenThus soconsider reckonyourselves ye also yourselves to be dead untoto sin, but alive untoto God in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
| 6:12 |
LetTherefore notdont let sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that yeyou should obey theit in its lusts thereof:. |
| 6:13 |
neitherAlso, do not present your members untoto sin as instruments of unrighteousness;, but present yourselves untoto God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness untoto God. |
| 6:14 |
For sin shallwill not have dominion over you:, for yeyou are not under law, but under grace. |
| 6:15 |
What then? shallShall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? GodMay forbid.it never be! |
| 6:16 |
KnowDont yeyou not, know that towhen whomyou ye present yourselves as servants untoand obedienceobey someone, hisyou are the servants yeof arewhomever whomyou ye obey;, whether of sin untoto death, or of obedience untoto righteousness? |
| 6:17 |
But thanks be to God, that, whereas yeyou were servantsbondservants of sin, yeyou became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereuntoto yewhich you were delivered;. |
| 6:18 |
andBeing being made free from sin, yeyou became servantsbondservants of righteousness. |
| 6:19 |
I speak afterin thehuman mannerterms of men because of the infirmityweakness of your flesh:; for as yeyou presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to iniquitywickedness untoupon iniquitywickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness untofor sanctification. |
| 6:20 |
For when yeyou were servants of sin, yeyou were free infrom regard of righteousness. |
| 6:21 |
What fruit then haddid yeyou have at that time in the things whereofof yewhich you are now ashamed? forFor the end of those things is death. |
| 6:22 |
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants toof God, yeyou have your fruit untoof sanctification, and the endresult of eternal life. |
| 6:23 |
For the wages of sin is death;, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
| 7:1 |
Or aredont yeyou ignorantknow, brethrenbrothers for I speak to men who know the law, that the law hathhas dominion over a man for soas long time as he livethlives? |
| 7:2 |
For the woman that hathhas a husband is bound by law to the husband while he liveth;lives, but if the husband diedies, she is discharged from the law of the husband. |
| 7:3 |
So then if, while the husband livethlives, she beis joined to another man, she shallwould be called an adulteress:. butBut if the husband diedies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she beis joined to another man. |
| 7:4 |
WhereforeTherefore, my brethrenbrothers, yeyou also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ;, that yeyou shouldwould be joined to another, even to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bringproduce forth fruit untoto God. |
| 7:5 |
For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wroughtworked in our members to bring forthout fruit untoto death. |
| 7:6 |
But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that whereinin which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter. |
| 7:7 |
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? GodMay forbid.it Howbeitnever be! However, I hadwouldnt nothave known sin, except through the law:. forFor I hadwouldnt nothave known coveting, exceptunless the law had said, ThouYou shaltshall not covet:. |
| 7:8 |
butBut sin, finding occasion through the commandment, wroughtproduced in me through the commandment all mannerkinds of coveting:. forFor apart from the law, sin is dead. |
| 7:9 |
And I was alive apart from the law once:, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died;. |
| 7:10 |
andThe the commandment, which was untofor life, this I found to be untofor death:; |
| 7:11 |
for sin, finding occasion, through the commandment, beguileddeceived me, and through it slewkilled me. |
| 7:12 |
SoTherefore that the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good. |
| 7:13 |
Did then that which is good become death untoto me? GodMay forbid.it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, bywas workingproducing death toin me through that which is good;—; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingexceedingly sinful. |
| 7:14 |
For we know that the law is spiritual:, but I am carnalfleshly, sold under sin. |
| 7:15 |
For thatI whichdont Iunderstand dowhat I knowam not:doing. forFor notI dont practice what I would, desire thatto do I practise; but what I hate, that I do. |
| 7:16 |
But if what I woulddont notdesire, that I do, I consent untoto the law that it is good. |
| 7:17 |
So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwellethdwells in me. |
| 7:18 |
For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwellethdwells no good thing:. forFor todesire will is present with me, but toI dodont find it doing that which is good is not. |
| 7:19 |
For the good which I woulddesire, I dont do; not: but the evil which I woulddont notdesire, that I practisepractice. |
| 7:20 |
But if what I woulddont notdesire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwellethdwells in me. |
| 7:21 |
I find then the law, that, towhile meI whodesire wouldto do good, evil is present. |
| 7:22 |
For I delight in theGods law of God after the inward man:person, |
| 7:24 |
WretchedWhat a wretched man that I am! whoWho shallwill deliver me out of the body of this death? |
| 7:25 |
I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord.! So then I of myself with the mind, indeed,I myself serve theGods law, of God; but with the flesh, thesins law of sin. |
| 8:1 |
There is therefore now no condemnation to themthose thatwho are in Christ Jesus, who dont walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. |
| 8:3 |
For what the law couldcouldnt not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh:, |
| 8:4 |
that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who dont walk notaccording afterto the flesh, but afteraccording to the Spirit. |
| 8:5 |
For theythose thatwho arelive afteraccording to the flesh mindset their minds on the things of the flesh;, but theythose thatwho arelive afteraccording to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. |
| 8:6 |
For the mind of the flesh is death;, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:; |
| 8:7 |
because the mind of the flesh is enmityhostile againsttoward God;, for it is not subject to theGods law of God, neither indeed can it be:. |
| 8:8 |
andThose theywho that are in the flesh cannotcant please God. |
| 8:9 |
But yeyou are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so be that the Spirit of God dwellethdwells in you. But if any man hathdoesnt nothave the Spirit of Christ, he is nonenot of his. |
| 8:10 |
AndIf if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin;, but the spirit is lifealive because of righteousness. |
| 8:11 |
But if the Spirit of him thatwho raised up Jesus from the dead dwellethdwells in you, he thatwho raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shallwill also give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit thatwho dwellethdwells in you. |
| 8:12 |
So then, brethrenbrothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh:. |
| 8:13 |
forFor if yeyou live after the flesh, yeyou must die; but if by the Spirit yeyou put to death the deeds of the body, yeyou shallwill live. |
| 8:14 |
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sonschildren of God. |
| 8:15 |
For yeyou receiveddidnt notreceive the spirit of bondage again untoto fear;, but yeyou received the spiritSpirit of adoption, wherebyby whom we cry, Abba,! Father.! |
| 8:16 |
The Spirit himself bearethtestifies witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:; |
| 8:17 |
and if children, then heirs; —heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ;, if soindeed be that we suffer with him, that we may also be also glorified with him. |
| 8:18 |
For I reckonconsider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shallwill be revealed totoward us ward. |
| 8:19 |
For the earnestcreation expectationwaits ofwith theeager creationexpectation waiteth for the revealingchildren of theGod sonsto ofbe Godrevealed. |
| 8:20 |
For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but bybecause reason of him who subjected it, in hope |
| 8:21 |
that the creation itself also shallwill be delivered from the bondage of corruptiondecay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. |
| 8:22 |
For we know that the whole creation groanethgroans and travailethtravails in pain together until now. |
| 8:23 |
AndNot not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. |
| 8:24 |
For inwe hope were we saved: in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope:. forFor who hopethhopes for that which he seethsees? |
| 8:25 |
But if we hope for that which we dont see not, then do we with patience wait for it with patience. |
| 8:26 |
AndIn inthe likesame mannerway, the Spirit also helpethhelps our infirmity:weaknesses, for we dont know not how to pray as we ought;. butBut the Spirit himself makethmakes intercession for us with groanings which cannotcant be uttered;. |
| 8:27 |
andHe hewho thatsearches searcheth the hearts knowethknows what is on the Spirits mind of the Spirit, because he makethmakes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. |
| 8:28 |
AndWe we know that to them that love God all things work together for good for those who love God, evenfor tothose themwho that are called according to his purpose. |
| 8:29 |
For whom he foreknew, he also foreordainedpredestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:brothers. |
| 8:30 |
andWhom whom he foreordainedpredestined, themthose he also called:. andWhom whom he called, themthose he also justified:. andWhom whom he justified, themthose he also glorified. |
| 8:31 |
What then shall we say toabout these things? If God is for us, who iscan be against us? |
| 8:32 |
He thatwho spareddidnt notspare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shallwould he not also with him freely give us all things? |
| 8:33 |
Who shallcould laybring anythinga to the charge ofagainst Gods electchosen ones? It is God thatwho justifieth;justifies. |
| 8:34 |
whoWho is he thatwho condemnethcondemns? It is Christ Jesuswho that died, yeayes rather, thatwho was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makethmakes intercession for us. |
| 8:35 |
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shallCould tribulationoppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? |
| 8:36 |
Even as it is written, For thyyour sake we are killed all the day long;. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter. |
| 8:37 |
NayNo, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him thatwho loved us. |
| 8:38 |
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, |
| 8:39 |
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, created shallthing will be able to separate us from theGods love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
| 9:1 |
I saytell the truth in Christ,. I lieam not lying, my conscience bearingtestifying witness with me in the Holy Spirit, |
| 9:3 |
For I could wish that I myself were anathemaaccursed from Christ for my brethrensbrothers sake, my kinsmenrelatives according to the flesh: |
| 9:4 |
who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; |
| 9:5 |
whoseof whom are the fathers, and offrom whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed for everforever. Amen. |
| 9:6 |
But it is not as though the word of God hathhas come to noughtnothing. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel:. |
| 9:7 |
neitherNeither, because they are Abrahams seedoffspring, are they all children:. butBut, Inyour Isaacoffspring shallwill thybe seedaccounted beas calledfrom Isaac. |
| 9:8 |
That is, it is not the children of the flesh thatwho are children of God;, but the children of the promise are reckonedcounted foras a seedheirs. |
| 9:9 |
For this is a word of promise,: AccordingAt tothe thisappointed seasontime I will I come, and Sarah shallwill have a son. |
| 9:10 |
AndNot not only so;, but RebeccaRebekah also having conceived by one, even by our father Isaac—. |
| 9:11 |
forFor the children being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him thatwho callethcalls, |
| 9:12 |
it was said untoto her, The elder shallwill serve the younger. |
| 9:14 |
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? GodMay forbid.it never be! |
| 9:15 |
For he saithsaid to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. |
| 9:16 |
So then it is not of him thatwho willethwills, nor of him thatwho runnethruns, but of God thatwho hathhas mercy. |
| 9:17 |
For the scriptureScripture saithsays untoto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raisecaused theeyou to be raised up, that I might show in theeyou my power, and that my name might be publishedproclaimed abroad in all the earth. |
| 9:18 |
So then, he hathhas mercy on whom he willdesires, and whom he willhardens whom he hardenethdesires. |
| 9:19 |
ThouYou wiltwill say then untoto me, Why dothdoes he still find fault? For who withstandethwithstands his will? |
| 9:20 |
NayBut butindeed, O man, who artare thouyou thatto repliestreply against God? ShallWill the thing formed sayask to him thatwho formed it, Why didstdid thouyou make me thuslike this? |
| 9:21 |
Or hathhasnt not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel untofor honor, and another untofor dishonor? |
| 9:22 |
What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsufferingpatience vessels of wrath fittedprepared untofor destruction:, |
| 9:23 |
and that he might make known the riches of his glory uponon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared untobeforehand for glory,— |
| 9:24 |
even us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles? |
| 9:25 |
As he saithsays also in Hosea, I will call thatthem my people, which waswere not my people; Andand her beloved, thatwho was not beloved. |
| 9:26 |
AndIt itwill shall be, that in the place where it was said untoto them, YeYou are not my people, Therethere shall they will be called sonschildren of the living God. |
| 9:27 |
And Isaiah criethcries concerning Israel, If the number of the children of Israel beare as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant thatwho shallwill be saved:; |
| 9:28 |
for he will finish the Lordwork willand executecut hisit wordshort uponin righteousness, because the earth,Lord finishingwill itmake anda cuttingshort itwork shortupon the earth. |
| 9:29 |
And,As as Isaiah hathhas said before, ExceptUnless the Lord of SabaothArmies had left us a seed, Wewe hadwould have become aslike Sodom, and hadwould have been made like unto Gomorrah. |
| 9:30 |
What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followeddidnt notfollow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:; |
| 9:31 |
but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, diddidnt not arrive at thatthe law of righteousness. |
| 9:32 |
WhereforeWhy? Because they soughtdidnt seek it not by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled atover the stumbling stone of stumbling;, |
| 9:33 |
even as it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone of stumbling and a rock of offence:offense; Andand heno thatone believethwho onbelieves in him shallwill not be put to shamedisappointed. |
| 10:1 |
BrethrenBrothers, my hearts desire and my supplicationprayer to God is for themIsrael, that they may be saved. |
| 10:2 |
For I beartestify about them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. |
| 10:3 |
For being ignorant of Gods righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they diddidnt not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. |
| 10:4 |
For Christ is the endfulfillment of the law untofor righteousness to everyeveryone onewho that believethbelieves. |
| 10:5 |
For Moses writethwrites thatabout the manrighteousness thatof doeth the righteousnesslaw, whichThe isone ofwho thedoes lawthem shallwill live therebyby them. |
| 10:6 |
But the righteousness which is of faith saithsays thusthis, SayDont notsay in thyyour heart, Who shallwill ascend into heaven? that is, to bring Christ down:; |
| 10:7 |
or, Who shallwill descend into the abyss? that is, to bring Christ up from the dead. |
| 10:8 |
But what saithdoes it say? The word is nighnear theeyou, in thyyour mouth, and in thyyour heart:; that is, the word of faith, which we preach: |
| 10:9 |
becausethat if thouyou shaltwill confess with thyyour mouth that Jesus asis Lord, and shalt believe in thyyour heart that God raised him from the dead, thouyou shaltwill be saved:. |
| 10:10 |
forFor with the heart manone believethbelieves untoresulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made untoresulting in salvation. |
| 10:11 |
For the scriptureScripture saithsays, WhosoeverWhoever believethbelieves onin him shallwill not be put to shamedisappointed. |
| 10:12 |
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek:; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich untoto all thatwho call uponon him:. |
| 10:13 |
forFor, WhosoeverWhoever shallwill call uponon the name of the Lord shallwill be saved. |
| 10:14 |
How then shallwill they call on him in whom they have not believed? andHow howwill shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? andHow howwill shall they hear without a preacher? |
| 10:15 |
andAnd how shallwill they preach, exceptunless they beare sent? evenAs as it is written,: How beautiful are the feet of themthose thatwho preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things! |
| 10:16 |
But they diddidnt not all hearkenlisten to the glad tidingsnews. For Isaiah saithsays, Lord, who hathhas believed our report? |
| 10:17 |
So belieffaith comethcomes ofby hearing, and hearing by the word of ChristGod. |
| 10:18 |
But I say, Diddidnt they not hear? YeaYes, verilymost certainly, Their sound went out into all the earth, And their words untoto the ends of the world. |
| 10:19 |
But I sayask, Diddidnt Israel not know? First Moses saithsays, I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation,. WithI will make you angry with a nation void of understanding will I anger you. |
| 10:20 |
And Isaiah is very bold, and saithsays, I was found ofby themthose thatwho soughtdidnt seek me. not; I becamewas manifestrevealed untoto themthose thatwho askeddidnt notask offor me. |
| 10:21 |
But asabout to Israel he saithsays, All the day long did I spreadstretched out my hands untoto a disobedient and gainsayingcontrary people. |
| 11:1 |
I sayask then, Diddid God castreject off his people? GodMay forbid.it never be! For I also am an Israelite, ofa thedescendant seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. |
| 11:2 |
God diddidnt notreject cast off his people, whichwhom he foreknew. Or knowdont yeyou notknow what the scriptureScripture saithsays ofabout Elijah? howHow he pleadethpleads with God against Israel: |
| 11:3 |
Lord, they have killed thyyour prophets,. theyThey have diggedbroken down thineyour altars;. and I am left alone, and they seek my life. |
| 11:4 |
But whathow saithdoes theGod answer of God unto him? I have leftreserved for myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal. |
| 11:5 |
Even so thentoo at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. |
| 11:6 |
ButAnd if it is by grace, then it is no morelonger of works:; otherwise grace is no morelonger grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. |
| 11:7 |
What then? That which Israel seekethseeks for, that he obtaineddidnt not;obtain, but the electionchosen ones obtained it, and the rest were hardened:. |
| 11:8 |
accordingAccording as it is written, God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, untoto this very day. |
| 11:9 |
And David saithsays, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, And a stumblingblockstumbling block, and a recompenseretribution untoto them:. |
| 11:10 |
Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see,. AndAlways bowkeep thou down their backbacks alwaysbent. |
| 11:11 |
I sayask then, Diddid they stumble that they might fall? GodMay forbid:it butnever be! But by their fall salvation ishas come untoto the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy. |
| 11:12 |
Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles;, how much more their fulness?fullness! |
| 11:13 |
ButFor I speak to you thatwho are Gentiles. InasmuchSince then as I am an apostle ofto Gentiles, I glorify my ministry;, |
| 11:14 |
if by any means I may provoke to jealousy themthose thatwho are my flesh, and may save some of them. |
| 11:15 |
For if the castingrejection away of them is the reconciling of the world, what shallwould thetheir receivingacceptance of them be, but life from the dead? |
| 11:16 |
AndIf if the first fruit is holy, so is the lump:. andIf if the root is holy, so are the branches. |
| 11:17 |
But if some of the branches were broken off, and thouyou, being a wild olive, wastwere grafted in among them, and didstbecame become partaker with them of the root and of the fatnessrichness of the olive tree;, |
| 11:18 |
glorydont notboast over the branches:. butBut if thouyou gloriestboast, remember that it is not thouyou thatwho bearestsupport the root, but the root theesupports you. |
| 11:19 |
ThouYou wiltwill say then, Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. |
| 11:20 |
WellTrue; by their unbelief they were broken off, and thouyou standeststand by thyyour faith. BeDont notbe highmindedconceited, but fear:; |
| 11:21 |
for if God spareddidnt notspare the natural branches, neither will he spare theeyou. |
| 11:22 |
BeholdSee then the goodness and severity of God:. towardToward themthose thatwho fell, severity; but toward theeyou, Gods goodness, if thouyou continue in his goodness:; otherwise thouyou also shaltwill be cut off. |
| 11:23 |
AndThey they also, if they dont continue not in their unbelief, shallwill be grafted in:, for God is able to graft them in again. |
| 11:24 |
For if thouyou wastwere cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and wastwere grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree;, how much more shallwill these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? |
| 11:25 |
For I woulddont not, desire brethren, you haveto yoube ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, lestso yethat you wont be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening inhas parthappened hathto befallen Israel, until the fulnessfullness of the Gentiles behas come in;, |
| 11:26 |
and so all Israel shallwill be saved:. evenEven as it is written, There shallwill come out of Zion the Deliverer;, Heand shallhe will turn away ungodliness from Jacob:. |
| 11:27 |
AndThis this is my covenant untowith them, Whenwhen I shallwill take away their sins. |
| 11:28 |
AsConcerning touching the gospelGood News, they are enemies for your sake:. butBut asconcerning touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers sake. |
| 11:29 |
For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented ofirrevocable. |
| 11:30 |
For as yeyou in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience, |
| 11:31 |
even so have these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they also may nowalso obtain mercy. |
| 11:32 |
For God hathhas shutbound up all untoto disobedience, that he might have mercy uponon all. |
| 11:33 |
OOh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! howHow unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out! |
| 11:34 |
For who hathhas known the mind of the Lord? orOr who hathhas been his counsellorcounselor? |
| 11:35 |
orOr who hathhas first given to him, and it shallwill be recompensedrepaid untoto him again? |
| 11:36 |
For of him, and through him, and untoto him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever.! Amen. |
| 12:1 |
Therefore I beseechurge you therefore, brethrenbrothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. |
| 12:2 |
AndDont be notconformed fashioned according to this world:, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that yeyou may prove what is the good, andwell acceptablepleasing, and perfect will of God. |
| 12:3 |
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to everyeveryone manwho that is among you, not to think of himselfyourself more highly than heyou ought to think; but so to think as to think soberlyreasonably, according as God hathhas dealtapportioned to each manperson a measure of faith. |
| 12:4 |
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members dont have not the same office:function, |
| 12:5 |
so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severallyindividually members of one of another., |
| 12:6 |
And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us,: whetherif prophecy, letlets us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith; |
| 12:7 |
or ministryservice, letlets us give ourselves to our ministryservice; or he thatwho teachethteaches, to his teaching; |
| 12:8 |
or he thatwho exhortethexhorts, to his exhorting:; he thatwho givethgives, let him do it with liberalitygenerosity; he thatwho rulethrules, with diligence; he thatwho showethshows mercy, with cheerfulness. |
| 12:9 |
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil;. cleaveCling to that which is good. |
| 12:10 |
In love of the brethrenbrothers be tenderly affectionedaffectionate to one to another; in honor preferringprefer one another;, |
| 12:11 |
not lagging in diligence, not slothful; fervent in spirit;, serving the Lord;, |
| 12:12 |
rejoicing in hope;, patientenduring in tribulation;troubles, continuing stedfastlysteadfastly in prayer;, |
| 12:13 |
communicatingcontributing to the necessitiesneeds of the saints;, and given to hospitality. |
| 12:14 |
Bless themthose thatwho persecute you; bless, and dont curse not. |
| 12:15 |
Rejoice with themthose thatwho rejoice;. weepWeep with themthose thatwho weep. |
| 12:16 |
Be of the same mind one toward another. SetDont notset your mind on high things, but condescendassociate towith thingsthe that are lowlyhumble. BeDont notbe wise in your own conceits. |
| 12:17 |
RenderRepay to no manone evil for evil. TakeRespect thoughtwhat foris things honorable in the sight of all men. |
| 12:18 |
If it beis possible, as much as init is up to you lieth, be at peace with all men. |
| 12:19 |
AvengeDont notseek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place untoto theGods wrath. ofFor God: for it is written, Vengeance belongethbelongs untoto me; I will recompenserepay, saithsays the Lord. |
| 12:20 |
ButTherefore ifIf thineyour enemy hungeris hungry, feed him;. ifIf he thirstis thirsty, give him toa drink:; for in doing so, doingyou thouwill shalt heap coals of fire uponon his head. |
| 12:21 |
BeDont notbe overcome ofby evil, but overcome evil with good. |
| 13:1 |
Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers:authorities, for there is no powerauthority butexcept offrom God;, and thethose powerswho thatexist be are ordained ofby God. |
| 13:2 |
Therefore he thatwho resistethresists the power, authority withstandethwithstands the ordinance of God:; and theythose thatwho withstand shallwill receive to themselves judgment. |
| 13:3 |
For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. AndDo wouldestyou thoudesire to have no fear of the powerauthority? doDo that which is good, and thouyou shaltwill have praise from the same:authority, |
| 13:4 |
for he is a ministerservant of God to theeyou for good. But if thouyou do that which is evil, be afraid;, for he bearethdoesnt notbear the sword in vain:; for he is a ministerservant of God, an avenger for wrath to him thatwho doethdoes evil. |
| 13:5 |
WhereforeTherefore yeyou mustneed needsto be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience sake. |
| 13:6 |
For for this causereason yeyou also pay tributetaxes, also; for they are ministersservants of Gods service, attending continually upondoing this very thing. |
| 13:7 |
RenderTherefore togive alleveryone theirwhat duesyou owe: tributeif toyou whomowe tributetaxes, ispay duetaxes; customif tocustoms, whomthen customcustoms; fearif torespect, whomthen fearrespect; if honor, tothen whom honor. |
| 13:8 |
Owe no manone anything, saveexcept to love one another:; for he thatwho lovethloves his neighbor hathhas fulfilled the law. |
| 13:9 |
For thisthe commandments, ThouYou shaltshall not commit adultery, ThouYou shaltshall not killmurder, ThouYou shaltshall not steal, ThouYou shaltshall not covet, and ifwhatever thereother becommandments anythere other commandmentare, itare isall summed up in this wordsaying, namely, ThouYou shaltshall love thyyour neighbor as thyselfyourself. |
| 13:10 |
Love workethdoesnt noharm illa to his neighbor:. loveLove therefore is the fulfilmentfulfillment of the law. |
| 13:11 |
AndDo this, knowing the seasontime, that already it is already time for you to awakeawaken out of sleep:, for nowsalvation is salvationnow nearer to us than when we first believed. |
| 13:12 |
The night is far spentgone, and the day is atnear. hand:Lets let us therefore castthrow off the worksdeeds of darkness, and letlets us put on the armor of light. |
| 13:13 |
LetLets us walk becominglyproperly, as in the day; not in revellingreveling and drunkenness, not in chamberingsexual promiscuity and wantonnesslustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy. |
| 13:14 |
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make notno provision for the flesh, tofor fulfilits the lusts thereof. |
| 14:1 |
ButNow himaccept thatone who is weak in faith receive ye, yetbut not for decisiondisputes ofover scruplesopinions. |
| 14:2 |
One man hathhas faith to eat all things:, but he thatwho is weak eatetheats herbsonly vegetables. |
| 14:3 |
LetDont notlet him thatwho eatetheats setdespise at nought him thatwho eatethdoesnt not;eat. andDont let not him thatwho eatethdoesnt noteat judge him thatwho eateth:eats, for God hathhas receivedaccepted him. |
| 14:4 |
Who artare thouyou thatwho judgestjudge theanothers servant of another? toTo his own Lord he standethstands or fallethfalls. YeaYes, he shallwill be made to stand;, for theGod Lordhas hath power to make him stand. |
| 14:5 |
One man esteemethesteems one day aboveas another:more anotherimportant. esteemethAnother esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind. |
| 14:6 |
He thatwho regardethobserves the day, regardethobserves it untoto the Lord:; and he thatwho eatethdoes not observe the day, eatethto untothe Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he givethgives God thanks;. andHe hewho thatdoesnt eateth noteat, untoto the Lord he eatethdoesnt noteat, and givethgives God thanks. |
| 14:7 |
For none of us livethlives to himself, and none diethdies to himself. |
| 14:8 |
For whetherif we live, we live untoto the Lord;. orOr whetherif we die, we die untoto the Lord:. whetherIf therefore we live therefore, or die, we are the Lords. |
| 14:9 |
For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living. |
| 14:10 |
But thouyou, why dostdo thouyou judge thyyour brother? orOr thouyou again, why dostdo thouyou setdespise atyour nought thy brother? forFor we shallwill all stand before the judgment seat of GodChrist. |
| 14:11 |
For it is written, As I live, saithsays the Lord, to me every knee shallwill bow,. AndEvery every tongue shallwill confess to God. |
| 14:12 |
So then each one of us shallwill give account of himself to God. |
| 14:13 |
LetTherefore uslets not therefore judge one another any more:, but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumblingblockstumbling block in his brothers way, or an occasion offor falling. |
| 14:14 |
I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself:; saveexcept that to him who accountethconsiders anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. |
| 14:15 |
ForYet if because of meatfood thyyour brother is grieved, thouyou walkestwalk no longer in love. DestroyDont notdestroy with thyyour meatfood him for whom Christ died. |
| 14:16 |
LetThen notdont thenlet your good be evil spoken of:slandered, |
| 14:17 |
for theGods kingdomKingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. |
| 14:18 |
For he thatwho hereinserves serveth Christ in these things is wellacceptable pleasing to God, and approved ofby men. |
| 14:19 |
So then, letlets us follow after things which make for peace, and things wherebyby which we may edifybuild one another up. |
| 14:20 |
OverthrowDont notoverthrow Gods work for meatsfoods sake the work of God. All things indeed are clean;, howbeithowever it is evil for that man who eatethcreates witha offencestumbling block by eating. |
| 14:21 |
It is good to not to eat fleshmeat, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything wherebyby thywhich your brother stumblethstumbles, is offended, or is made weak. |
| 14:22 |
TheDo faithyou whichhave thoufaith? hast,Have haveit thou to thyselfyourself before God. Happy is he thatwho judgethdoesnt notjudge himself in that which he approvethapproves. |
| 14:23 |
But he thatwho doubtethdoubts is condemned if he eateats, because heit eatethisnt not of faith; and whatsoeverwhatever is not of faith is sin. |
| 15:1 |
Now we thatwho are strong ought to bear the infirmitiesweaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves. |
| 15:2 |
Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, untoto edifyingbe building him up. |
| 15:3 |
For even Christ alsodidnt pleasedplease not himself;. butBut, as it is written, The reproaches of themthose thatwho reproached theeyou fell uponon me. |
| 15:4 |
For whatsoeverwhatever things were written aforetimebefore were written for our learning, that through patienceperseverance and through comfortencouragement of the scripturesScriptures we might have hope. |
| 15:5 |
Now the God of patienceperseverance and of comfortencouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one with another according to Christ Jesus:, |
| 15:6 |
that with one accord yeyou may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 15:7 |
WhereforeTherefore receiveaccept ye one another, even as Christ also receivedaccepted you, to the glory of God. |
| 15:8 |
ForNow I say that Christ hathhas been made a ministerservant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given untoto the fathers, |
| 15:9 |
and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy;. asAs it is written, Therefore I will I give praise untoto theeyou among the Gentiles, Andand sing untoto thyyour name. |
| 15:10 |
AndAgain again he saithsays, Rejoice, yeyou Gentiles, with his people. |
| 15:11 |
And againAgain, Praise the Lord, all yeyou Gentiles;! AndLet let all the peoples praise him. |
| 15:12 |
And againAgain, Isaiah saithsays, There shallwill be the root of Jesse, And he thatwho arisetharises to rule over the Gentiles; Onin him shall the Gentiles will hope. |
| 15:13 |
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that yeyou may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. |
| 15:14 |
And I myself am also am persuaded ofabout you, my brethrenbrothers, that yeyou yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one anotherothers. |
| 15:15 |
But I write the more boldly untoto you in somepart measure, as puttingreminding you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given to me ofby God, |
| 15:16 |
that I should be a ministerservant of Christ Jesus untoto the Gentiles, ministeringserving as a priest of the gospelGood News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. |
| 15:17 |
I have therefore my gloryingboasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God. |
| 15:18 |
For I will not dare to speak of any things saveexcept those which Christ wroughtworked through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed, |
| 15:19 |
in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of theGods Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and roundaround aboutas evenfar untoas to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospelGood News of Christ; |
| 15:20 |
yeayes, making it my aim so to preach the gospelGood News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build uponon anotheranothers mans foundation;. |
| 15:21 |
butBut, as it is written, They shallwill see, to whom no tidingsnews of him came,. AndThey they who havehavent not heard shallwill understand. |
| 15:22 |
WhereforeTherefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:, |
| 15:23 |
but now, having no morelonger having any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come untoto you, |
| 15:24 |
whensoeverwhenever I gotravel untoto Spain, forI will come to you. For I hope to see you inon my journey, and to be broughthelped on my way thitherwardthere by you, if first in some measure I shallmay haveenjoy beenyour satisfiedcompany withfor youra company—while. |
| 15:25 |
butBut now, I say, I goam untogoing to Jerusalem, ministeringserving unto the saints. |
| 15:26 |
For it hathhas been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints thatwho are at Jerusalem. |
| 15:27 |
YeaYes, it hathhas been their good pleasure;, and they are their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to ministerserve unto them in carnalmaterial things. |
| 15:28 |
When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you untoto Spain. |
| 15:29 |
And I know that, when I come untoto you, I shallwill come in the fulnessfullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ. |
| 15:30 |
Now I beseechbeg you, brethrenbrothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that yeyou strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;, |
| 15:31 |
that I may be delivered from themthose thatwho are disobedient in JudaeaJudea, and that my ministrationservice which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;, |
| 15:32 |
that I may come untoto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest. |
| 16:1 |
