4:4 AndHe heneeded mustto needs pass through Samaria.
4:5 So he comethcame to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph:.
4:6 and Jacobs well was there. Jesus therefore, being weariedtired withfrom his journey, sat thusdown by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
4:7 ThereA cometh a woman of Samaria came to draw water:. Jesus saithsaid untoto her, Give me toa drink.
4:8 For his disciples werehad gone away into the city to buy food.
4:9 The Samaritan woman therefore saithsaid untoto him, How is it that thouyou, being a Jew, askestask for a drink offrom me, who am a Samaritan woman? For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thouyou knewestknew the gift of God, and who it is thatwho saithsays to theeyou, Give me toa drink;, thouyou wouldestwould have asked of him, and he would have given theeyou living water.
4:11 The woman saithsaid untoto him, Sir, thouyou hasthave nothing to draw with, and the well is deep:. whenceSo thenwhere hastdo thouyou get that living water?

4:14 but whosoeverwhoever drinkethdrinks of the water that I shallwill give him shallwill never thirst again; but the water that I shallwill give him shallwill become in him a well of water springing up untoto eternal life.
4:15 The woman saithsaid untoto him, Sir, give me this water, so that I thirstdont notget thirsty, neither come all the way hitherhere to draw.
4:16 Jesus saithsaid untoto her, Go, call thyyour husband, and come hitherhere.
4:17 The woman answered and said unto him, I have no husband. Jesus saithsaid untoto her, ThouYou saidstsaid well, I have no husband:,
4:18 for thouyou hasthave had five husbands; and he whom thouyou now hasthave is not thyyour husband:. thisThis hastyou thouhave said truly.
4:19 The woman saithsaid untoto him, Sir, I perceive that thouyou artare a prophet.
4:20 Our fathers worshippedworshiped in this mountain;, and yeyou Jews say, that in Jerusalem is the place where menpeople ought to worship.
4:21 Jesus saithsaid untoto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh,is coming when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shallwill yeyou worship the Father.
4:22 YeYou worship that which yeyou dont know. not:We we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
4:23 But the hour comethcomes, and now is, when the true worshippersworshipers shallwill worship the Father in spirit and truth:, for such doth the Father seekseeks such to be his worshippersworshipers.
4:24 God is aspirit, Spirit: and theythose thatwho worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
4:25 The woman saithsaid untoto him, I know that Messiah comethis coming, he thatwho is called Christ:. whenWhen he ishas come, he will declare untoto us all things.
4:26 Jesus saithsaid untoto her, I thatam speakhe, untothe theeone amwho hespeaks to you.
4:27 AndJust uponthen, this came his disciples; andcame. theyThey marvelledmarveled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no manone said, What seekestare thouyou looking for? or, Why speakestdo thouyou speak with her?
4:28 So the woman left her waterpotwater pot, and went away into the city, and saithsaid to the people,
4:29 Come, see a man, who told me alleverything things that ever I did:have candone. Can this be the Christ?
4:31 In the meanmeanwhile, while the disciples prayedurged him, saying, Rabbi, eat.
4:32 But he said untoto them, I have meatfood to eat that yeyou dont know notabout.
4:33 The disciples therefore said to one to another, HathHas anyanyone man brought him aughtsomething to eat?
4:34 Jesus saithsaid untoto them, My meatfood is to do the will of him thatwho sent me, and to accomplish his work.
4:35 SayDont notyou yesay, There are yet four months, anduntil then cometh the harvest? beholdBehold, I saytell unto you, Liftlift up your eyes, and look onat the fields, that they are white alreadyfor untoharvest harvestalready.
4:36 He thatwho reapethreaps receivethreceives wages, and gatherethgathers fruit untoto eternal life, eternal; that both he thatwho sowethsows and he thatwho reapethreaps may rejoice together.
4:37 For hereinin isthis the saying is true, One sowethsows, and another reapethreaps.
4:38 I sent you to reap that whereonfor yewhich haveyou nothavent labored:. othersOthers have labored, and yeyou arehave entered into their labor.
4:39 AndFrom from that city many of the Samaritans believed onin him because of the word of the woman, who testified, He told me alleverything things that ever I didhave done.
4:40 So when the Samaritans came untoto him, they besoughtbegged him to abidestay with them:. andHe hestayed abode there two days.
4:41 AndMany many more believed because of his word;.
4:42 andThey they said to the woman, Now we believe, not because of thyyour speaking:; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the SaviourChrist, the Savior of the world.
4:43 AndAfter after the two days he went forthout from thencethere and went into Galilee.
4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hathhas no honor in his own country.
4:45 So when he came into Galilee, the GalilaeansGalileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast:, for they also went untoto the feast.
4:46 HeJesus came therefore again untoto Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. AndThere there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
4:47 When he heard that Jesus washad come out of JudaeaJudea into Galilee, he went untoto him, and besoughtbegged him that he would come down, and heal his son;, for he was at the point of death.
4:48 Jesus therefore said untoto him, ExceptUnless yeyou see signs and wonders, yeyou will in no wiseway believe.
4:49 The nobleman saithsaid untoto him, Sir, come down erebefore my child diedies.
4:50 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, Go thyyour way;. thyYour son livethlives. The man believed the word that Jesus spakespoke untoto him, and he went his way.
4:51 AndAs as he was now going down, his servants met him and reported, saying, thatYour hischild son lived.lives!
4:52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to amendget better. They said therefore untoto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him.
4:53 So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said untoto him, ThyYour son liveth:lives. andHe himself believed, andas did his whole house.
4:54 This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of JudaeaJudea into Galilee.
5:1 After these things, there was a feast of the Jews;, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
5:2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the sheep gate, there is a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
5:3 In these lay a great multitude of themthose thatwho were sick, blind, haltlame, withered.or paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water;
5:5 AndA a certain man was there, who had been sick for thirty and eight years in his infirmity.
5:6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been nowsick for a long time in that case, he saithasked unto him, WouldestDo thouyou want to be made wholewell?
5:7 The sick man answered him, Sir, I have no man,one when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: when the water is stirred up, but while IIm am coming, another steppethsteps down before me.
5:8 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, Arise, take up thyyour bedmat, and walk.
5:9 AndImmediately, straightway the man was made wholewell, and took up his bedmat and walked. Now itthat day was thea sabbath on that daySabbath.
5:10 So the Jews said untoto him thatwho was cured, It is the sabbath,Sabbath. andIt it is not lawful for theeyou to takecarry upthe thy bedmat.
5:11 ButHe he answered them, He thatwho made me whole, well the same said untoto me, Take up thyyour bed,mat and walk.
5:12 TheyThen they asked him, Who is the man thatwho said untoto theeyou, Take up thyyour bed,mat and walk?
5:13 But he thatwho was healed knewdidnt notknow who it was;, for Jesus had conveyed himself awaywithdrawn, a multitudecrowd being in the place.
5:14 Afterward Jesus findethfound him in the temple, and said untoto him, Behold, thouyou artare made whole:well. sinSin no more, lestso athat nothing worse thinghappens befallto theeyou.
5:15 The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him wholewell.
5:16 AndFor for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus and sought to kill him, because he did these things on the sabbathSabbath.
5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father workethis evenstill until nowworking, andso I workam working, too.
5:18 For this cause therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only brakebroke the sabbathSabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
5:19 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily,Most verilycertainly, I saytell unto you, Thethe Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seethsees the Father doing:. forFor whatwhatever things soever he doethdoes, these the Son also doethdoes in like mannerlikewise.
5:20 For the Father lovethhas affection for the Son, and showethshows him all things that he himself doeth:does. andHe will show him greater works than these will he show him, that yeyou may marvel.
5:21 For as the Father raisethraises the dead and givethgives them life, even so the Son also givethgives life to whom he willdesires.
5:22 For neither doth the Father judgejudges anyno manone, but he hathhas given all judgment untoto the Son;,
5:23 that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He thatwho honorethdoesnt nothonor the Son honorethdoesnt nothonor the Father thatwho sent him.
5:24 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Hehe thatwho hearethhears my word, and believethbelieves him thatwho sent me, hathhas eternal life, and comethdoesnt notcome into judgment, but hathhas passed out of death into life.
5:25 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Thethe hour comethcomes, and now is, when the dead shallwill hear the voiceSon of theGods Son of Godvoice; and theythose thatwho hear shallwill live.
5:26 For as the Father hathhas life in himself, even so he gave he to the Son also to have life in himself:.
5:27 andHe healso gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man.
5:28 MarvelDont notmarvel at this:, for the hour cometh, comes in which all thatwho are in the tombs shallwill hear his voice,
5:29 and shallwill come forthout; theythose thatwho have done good, untoto the resurrection of life; and theythose thatwho have done evil, untoto the resurrection of judgment.
5:30 I can of myself do nothing:. asAs I hear, I judge:; and my judgment is righteous;, because I dont seek notmy mine own will, but the will of himmy thatFather who sent me.
5:31 If I beartestify witnessabout of myself, my witness is not truevalid.
5:32 It is another thatwho bearethtestifies witnessabout of me;. and I know that the witnesstestimony which he witnessethtestifies ofabout me is true.
5:33 YeYou have sent untoto John, and he hathhas bornetestified witnessto unto the truth.
5:34 But the witnesstestimony which I receive is not from man:. howbeitHowever, I say these things, that yeyou may be saved.
5:35 He was the lampburning thatand burnethshining andlamp, shineth; and yeyou were willing to rejoice for a seasonwhile in his light.
5:36 But the witnesstestimony which I have is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father hathgave given me to accomplish, the very works that I do, beartestify witnessabout of me, that the Father hathhas sent me.
5:37 AndThe the Father thathimself, who sent me, hehas hathtestified borneabout witness of me. YeYou have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.
5:38 AndYou yedont have not his word abidingliving in you:, forbecause whomyou hedont sent, believe him yewhom believehe notsent.
5:39 YeYou search the scripturesScriptures, because yeyou think that in them yeyou have eternal life; and these are they which beartestify witnessabout of me;.
5:40 andYet yeyou will not come to me, that yeyou may have life.
5:41 I dont receive not glory from men.
5:42 But I know you, that yeyou dont have notGods the love of God in yourselves.
5:43 I amhave come in my Fathers name, and yeyou dont receive me. not:If if another shallcomes come in his own name, himyou ye will receive him.
5:44 How can yeyou believe, who receive glory from one of another, and you dont seek the glory that comethcomes from the only God ye seek not?
5:45 ThinkDont notthink that I will accuse you to the Father:. thereThere is one thatwho accusethaccuses you, even Moses, on whom yeyou have set your hope.
5:46 For if yeyou believed Moses, yeyou would believe me; for he wrote ofabout me.
5:47 But if yeyou dont believe not his writings, how shallwill yeyou believe my words?
6:1 After these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is also called the seaSea of Tiberias.
6:2 AndA a great multitude followed him, because they beheldsaw thehis signs which he did on themthose thatwho were sick.
6:3 And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there he sat there with his disciples.
6:4 Now the passoverPassover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.
6:5 Jesus therefore, lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude comethwas untocoming to him, saithsaid untoto Philip, WhenceWhere are we to buy bread, that these may eat?
6:6 AndHe said this he said to provetest him:, for he himself knew what he would do.
6:7 Philip answered him, Two hundred shillingsdenarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may takereceive a little.
6:8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peters brother, saithsaid untoto him,
6:9 There is a ladboy here, who hathhas five barley loaves, and two fishes:fish, but what are these among so many?
6:10 Jesus said, MakeHave the people sit down. Now there was much grass in thethat place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
6:11 Jesus therefore took the loaves;, and having given thanks, he distributed to themthe thatdisciples, and the disciples to those who were setsitting down;, likewise also of the fishesfish as much as they woulddesired.
6:12 AndWhen when they were filled, he saithsaid untoto his disciples, Gather up the broken pieces which remainare left over, that nothing be lost.
6:13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which remainedwere left over untoby themthose thatwho had eaten.
6:14 When therefore the people saw the sign which heJesus did, they said, This is oftruly a truth the prophet thatwho comethcomes into the world.
6:15 Jesus therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again intoto the mountain by himself alone.
6:16 AndWhen when evening came, his disciples went down untoto the sea;.
6:17 andThey they entered into athe boat, and were going over the sea untoto Capernaum. AndIt it was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
6:18 AndThe the sea was risingtossed by reason of a great wind that blewblowing.
6:19 When therefore they had rowed about twenty five and twenty or thirty furlongsstadia, they beholdsaw Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nighnear untoto the boat:; and they were afraid.
6:20 But he saithsaid untoto them, It is I;. Dont be not afraid.
6:21 They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat:. andImmediately straightway the boat was at the land whitherwhere they were going.
6:22 On the morrownext day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, saveexcept the one in which his disciples had embarked, and that Jesus hadnt entered not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples wenthad gone away alone.
6:23 howbeitHowever, there came boats from Tiberias nighcame untonear to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks:.
6:24 whenWhen the multitude therefore saw that Jesus waswasnt not there, neithernor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
6:25 AndWhen when they found him on the other side of the sea, they saidasked unto him, Rabbi, when camestdid thouyou hithercome here?
6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Yeyou seek me, not because yeyou saw signs, but because yeyou ate of the loaves, and were filled.
6:27 WorkDont notwork for the food which perishethperishes, but for the food which abidethremains untoto eternal life, which the Son of manMan shallwill give untoto you:. forFor himGod the Father, evenhas God,sealed hath sealedhim.
6:28 They said therefore untoto him, What must we do, that we may work the works of God?
6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that yeyou believe onin him whom he hathhas sent.
6:30 They said therefore untoto him, What then doestdo thouyou do for a sign, that we may see, and believe theeyou? whatWhat workestwork thoudo you do?
6:31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness;. asAs it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.
6:32 Jesus therefore said untoto them, Verily,Most verilycertainly, I saytell unto you, Itit waswasnt not Moses thatwho gave you the bread out of heaven;, but my Father givethgives you the true bread out of heaven.
6:33 For the bread of God is that which comethcomes down out of heaven, and givethgives life untoto the world.
6:34 They said therefore untoto him, Lord, evermorealways give us this bread.
6:35 Jesus said untoto them, I am the bread of life:. heWhoever thatcomes cometh to me shallwill not hungerbe hungry, and hewhoever thatbelieves believethin on me shallwill never thirstbe thirsty.
6:36 But I saidtold unto you, that yeyou have seen me, and yet you dont believe not.
6:37 All thatthose whichwhom the Father givethgives me shallwill come untoto me;. andHe himwho thatcomes cometh to me I will in no wiseway castthrow out.
6:38 For I amhave come down from heaven, not to do minemy own will, but the will of him thatwho sent me.
6:39 AndThis this is the will of himmy thatFather who sent me, that of all that which he hathhas given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise ithim up at the last day.
6:40 ForThis this is the will of mythe Fatherone who sent me, that everyeveryone onewho thatsees beholdeth the Son, and believethbelieves onin him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
6:42 AndThey they said, IsIsnt not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? howHow doththen does he now say, I amhave come down out of heaven?
6:43 Therefore Jesus answered and said unto them, MurmurDont notmurmur among yourselves.
6:44 No manone can come to me, exceptunless the Father thatwho sent me drawdraws him:; and I will raise him up in the last day.
6:45 It is written in the prophets, AndThey theywill shall all be taught ofby God. EveryTherefore oneeveryone thatwho hathhears heard from the Father, and hathhas learned, comethcomes untoto me.
6:46 Not that anyanyone manhas hath seen the Father, saveexcept he thatwho is from God,. heHe hathhas seen the Father.
6:47 Verily,Most verilycertainly, I saytell unto you, Hehe thatwho believethbelieves hathin me has eternal life.
6:49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
6:50 This is the bread which comethcomes down out of heaven, that aanyone man may eat thereof,of it and not die.
6:51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven:. ifIf anyanyone maneats eat of this bread, he shallwill live forforever. ever:Yes, yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world is my flesh.
6:52 The Jews therefore strovecontended with one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
6:53 Jesus therefore said untoto them, Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Exceptunless yeyou eat the flesh of the Son of manMan and drink his blood, yeyou dont have not life in yourselves.
6:54 He thatwho eatetheats my flesh and drinkethdrinks my blood hathhas eternal life;, and I will raise him up at the last day.
6:55 For my flesh is meatfood indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
6:56 He thatwho eatetheats my flesh and drinkethdrinks my blood abidethlives in me, and I in him.
6:57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father;, so he thatwho eatethfeeds on me, hewill also shall live because of me.
6:58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven: —not as theour fathers ate, the manna and died;. heHe thatwho eatetheats this bread shallwill live for everforever.
6:59 TheseHe things said hethese things in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
6:60 ManyTherefore thereforemany of his disciples, when they heard this, said, This is a hard saying;! whoWho can hearlisten to it?
6:61 But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said untoto them, DothDoes this cause you to stumble?
6:62 WhatThen thenwhat if yeyou shouldwould beholdsee the Son of manMan ascending to where he was before?
6:63 It is the spirit thatwho givethgives life;. theThe flesh profitethprofits nothing:. theThe words that I havespeak spokento unto you are spirit, and are life.
6:64 But there are some of you thatwho dont believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were thatwho believeddidnt notbelieve, and who it was thatwho shouldwould betray him.
6:65 AndHe he said, For this cause I have I said untoto you, that no manone can come untoto me, exceptunless it beis given untoto him ofby themy Father.
6:66 UponAt this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
6:67 Jesus said therefore untoto the twelve, WouldYou yedont also want to go away, do you?
6:68 Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shallwould we go? thouYou hasthave the words of eternal life.
6:69 AndWe we have believedcome to believe and know that thouyou artare the HolyChrist, Onethe Son of the living God.
6:70 Jesus answered them, DidDidnt not I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?
6:71 Now he spakespoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for he it was thathe shouldwho would betray him, being one of the twelve.
7:1 AndAfter after these things, Jesus walkedwas walking in Galilee:, for he wouldwouldnt not walk in JudaeaJudea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
7:2 Now the feast of the Jews, the feastFeast of tabernaclesBooths, was at hand.
7:3 His brethrenbrothers therefore said untoto him, Depart hence, from here and go into JudaeaJudea, that thyyour disciples also may beholdsee thyyour works which thouyou doestdo.
7:4 For no manone doethdoes anything in secret, andwhile himselfhe seekethseeks to be known openly. If thouyou doestdo these things, manifestreveal thyselfyourself to the world.
7:5 For even his brethrenbrothers diddidnt not believe onin him.
7:6 Jesus therefore saithsaid untoto them, My time ishas not yet come;, but your time is always ready.
7:7 The world cannotcant hate you;, but me it hatethhates me, because I testify ofabout it, that its works are evil.
7:8 GoYou yego up untoto the feast:. I goam not yet going up untoto this feast;, because my time is not yet fulfilled.
7:9 AndHaving having said these things untoto them, he abodestayed still in Galilee.
7:10 But when his brethrenbrothers werehad gone up untoto the feast, then went he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
7:12 AndThere there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him:. someSome said, He is a good man;. othersOthers said, Not so, but he leadethleads the multitude astray.
7:13 Yet no manone spakespoke openly of him for fear of the Jews.
7:14 But when it was now the midstmiddle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
7:15 The Jews therefore marvelledmarveled, saying, How knowethdoes this man know letters, having never learnedbeen educated?
7:16 Jesus therefore answered them, and said, My teaching is not mine, but his thatwho sent me.
7:17 If anyanyone mandesires willeth to do his will, he shallwill know ofabout the teaching, whether it is offrom God, or whetherif I speakam speaking from myself.
7:18 He thatwho speakethspeaks from himself seekethseeks his own glory:, but he thatwho seekethseeks the glory of him thatwho sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
7:19 DidDidnt not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you doethkeeps the law? Why do you seek ye to kill me?
7:20 The multitude answered, ThouYou hasthave a demon:! whoWho seekethseeks to kill theeyou?
7:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I did one work, and yeyou all marvel because thereofof it.
7:22 Moses hathhas given you circumcision not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers;, and on the sabbathSabbath yeyou circumcise a manboy.
7:23 If a manboy receivethreceives circumcision on the sabbathSabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken;, are yeyou wrothangry with me, because I made a man everycompletely whithealthy whole on the sabbathSabbath?
7:24 JudgeDont notjudge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
7:25 SomeTherefore thereforesome of them of Jerusalem said, IsIsnt not this he whom they seek to kill?
7:26 And loBehold, he speakethspeaks openly, and they say nothing untoto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?
7:27 HowbeitHowever, we know where this man whencecomes hefrom, is: but when the Christ comethcomes, no one knowethwill whenceknow where he iscomes from.
7:28 Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, YeYou both know me, and know whencewhere I am; andfrom. I amhave not come of myself, but he thatwho sent me is true, whom yeyou dont know not.
7:29 I know him;, because I am from him, and he sent me.
7:30 They sought therefore to take him:; andbut no manone laid hisa hand on him, because his hour washad not yet come.
7:31 But of the multitude, many believed onin him;. andThey they said, When the Christ shall comecomes, will he wont do more signs than those which this man hathhas done, will he?
7:32 The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him;, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to takearrest him.
7:33 Then Jesus therefore said, YetI will be with you a little while am I with youlonger, andthen I go untoto him thatwho sent me.
7:34 YeYou shallwill seek me, and shallwont not find me:. andYou cant come where I am, ye cannot come.
7:35 The Jews therefore said among themselves, WhitherWhere will this man go that we shallwont not find him? willWill he go untoto the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
7:36 What is this word that he said, YeYou shallwill seek me, and shallwont not find me; and whereWhere I am, yeyou cannotcant come?
7:37 Now on the last day,and thegreatest great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, sayingout, If anyanyone manis thirstthirsty, let him come untoto me and drink.!
7:38 He thatwho believethbelieves onin me, as the scriptureScripture hathhas said, from within him shallwill flow rivers of living water.
7:39 But thishe spakesaid hethis ofabout the Spirit, which theythose thatbelieving believedin on him were to receive:. forFor the Holy Spirit was not yet given;, because Jesus waswasnt not yet glorified.
7:40 SomeMany of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, This is oftruly a truth the prophet.
7:41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, What, dothdoes the Christ come out of Galilee?
7:42 HathHasnt not the scriptureScripture said that the Christ comethcomes of the seedoffspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?
7:43 So there arose a division arose in the multitude because of him.
7:44 AndSome some of them would have takenarrested him;, but no manone laid hands on him.
7:45 The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said untoto them, Why diddidnt yeyou not bring him?
7:46 The officers answered, NeverNo man soever spake.spoke like this man!
7:47 The Pharisees therefore answered them, AreYou yearent also led astray, are you?
7:48 HathHave any of the rulers believedor onany him, or of the Pharisees believed in him?
7:49 But this multitude that knowethdoesnt notknow the law areis accursedcursed.
7:50 Nicodemus saith unto them he thatwho came to him beforeby night, being one of them said to them,
7:51 DothDoes our law judge a man, exceptunless it first hearhears from himselfhim personally and knowknows what he doethdoes?
7:52 They answered and said unto him, ArtAre thouyou also offrom Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
7:53 AndEveryone they went everyto man unto his own house:,
8:1 but Jesus went untoto the mountMount of Olives.
8:2 AndNow very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came untoto him;. andHe he sat down, and taught them.
8:3 AndThe the scribes and the Pharisees bringbrought a woman taken in adultery;. andHaving having set her in the midstmiddle,
8:4 they saytold unto him, Teacher, we found this woman hath been taken in adultery, in the very act.
8:5 Now in theour law, Moses commanded us to stone such: whatwomen. What then sayestdo thouyou ofsay about her?
8:6 AndThey said this theytesting said, trying him, that they might have whereofsomething to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground with his finger.
8:7 But when they continued asking him, he liftedlooked up himself, and said untoto them, He thatwho is without sin among you, let him firstthrow castthe afirst stone at her.
8:8 AndAgain again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground with his finger.
8:9 And theyThey, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the eldestoldest, even untoto the last:. and Jesus was left alone, andwith the woman, where she was, in the midstmiddle.
8:10 And Jesus, liftedstanding up himself, saw her and said unto her, Woman, where are theyyour accusers? didDid no manone condemn theeyou?
8:11 AndShe she said, No manone, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I condemn thee:you. goGo thyyour way;. fromFrom henceforthnow on, sin no more.
8:12 Again, therefore, Jesus spakespoke untoto them, saying, I am the light of the world:. heHe thatwho followethfollows me shallwill not walk in the darkness, but shallwill have the light of life.
8:13 The Pharisees therefore said untoto him, ThouYou bearesttestify witnessabout ofyourself. thyself;Your thytestimony witness is not truevalid.
8:14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Even if I beartestify witnessabout of myself, my witnesstestimony is true;, for I know whencewhere I came from, and whitherwhere I goam going; but yeyou dont know notwhere whence I comecame from, or whitherwhere I goam going.
8:15 YeYou judge afteraccording to the flesh;. I judge no manone.
8:16 YeaEven and if I do judge, my judgment is true;, for I am not alone, but I andam with the Father thatwho sent me.
8:17 YeaIts andalso written in your law it is written, that the witnesstestimony of two menpeople is truevalid.
8:18 I am heone thatwho bearethtestifies witnessabout of myself, and the Father thatwho sent me bearethtestifies witnessabout of me.
8:19 They said therefore untoto him, Where is thyyour Father? Jesus answered, YeYou know neither me, nor my Father:. ifIf yeyou knew me, yeyou would know my Father also.
8:20 TheseJesus wordsspoke spakethese hewords in the treasury, as he taught in the temple:. andYet no manone tookarrested him;, because his hour washad not yet come.
8:21 HeJesus said therefore again untoto them, I goam going away, and yeyou shallwill seek me, and shallyou will die in your sin:sins. whitherWhere I go, yeyou cannotcant come.
8:22 The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself, thatbecause he saithsays, WhitherWhere I goam going, yeyou cannotcant come?
8:23 AndHe he said untoto them, YeYou are from beneath;. I am from above:. yeYou are of this world;. I am not of this world.
8:24 I said therefore untoto you, that yeyou shallwill die in your sins:; for exceptunless yeyou believe that I am he, yeyou shallwill die in your sins.
8:25 They said therefore untoto him, Who artare thouyou? Jesus said untoto them, EvenJust thatwhat which I have alsobeen spokensaying untoto you from the beginning.
8:26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you:. howbeitHowever, he thatwho sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these speak I untosay to the world.
8:27 They perceiveddidnt notunderstand that he spakespoke to them ofabout the Father.
8:28 Jesus therefore said to them, When yeyou have lifted up the Son of manMan, then shallyou yewill know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as themy Father taught me, I speaksay these things.
8:29 AndHe hewho that sent me is with me;. heThe hathFather nothasnt left me alone;, for I always do always the things that are pleasing to him.
8:30 As he spakespoke these things, many believed onin him.
8:31 Jesus therefore said to those Jews thatwho had believed him, If yeyou abideremain in my word, then you are ye truly my disciples;.
8:32 andYou yewill shall know the truth, and the truth shallwill make you free.
8:33 They answered unto him, We are Abrahams seedoffspring, and have never yet been in bondage to anyanyone. man:How howdo sayestyou thousay, YeYou shallwill be made free?
8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Everyeveryone onewho thatcommits committeth sin is the bondservant of sin.
8:35 AndA the bondservant abidethdoesnt notlive in the house forforever. ever:A the son abidethremains for everforever.
8:36 If therefore the Son shallmakes make you free, yeyou shallwill be free indeed.
8:37 I know that yeyou are Abrahams seed;offspring, yet yeyou seek to kill me, because my word hathfinds notno freeplace course in you.
8:38 I speaksay the things which I have seen with my Father:; and yeyou also do the things which yeyou heardhave fromseen with your father.
8:39 They answered and said unto him, Our father is Abraham. Jesus saithsaid untoto them, If yeyou were Abrahams children, yeyou would do the works of Abraham.
8:40 But now yeyou seek to kill me, a man thatwho hathhas told you the truth, which I heard from God:. thisAbraham diddidnt notdo Abrahamthis.
8:41 YeYou do the works of your father. They said untoto him, We were not born of fornication;sexual weimmorality. We have one Father, even God.
8:42 Therefore Jesus said untoto them, If God were your Fatherfather, yeyou would love me:, for I came forthout and amhave come from God;. forFor neitherI havehavent I come of myself, but he sent me.
8:43 Why dodont yeyou not understand my speech? EvenBecause becauseyou yecant cannot hear my word.
8:44 YeYou are of your father the devil, and theyou lustswant ofto yourdo fatherthe itdesires isof your will to dofather. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standethdoesnt notstand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speakethspeaks a lie, he speakethspeaks ofon his own:; for he is a liar, and the father thereofof lies.
8:45 But because I saytell the truth, yeyou dont believe me not.
8:46 Which of you convictethconvicts me of sin? If I saytell the truth, why do yeyou not believe me?
8:47 He thatwho is of God hearethhears the words of God:. forFor this cause yeyou dont hear them not, because yeyou are not of God.
8:48 TheThen the Jews answered and said unto him, SayDont we notsay well that thouyou artare a Samaritan, and hasthave a demon?
8:49 Jesus answered, I dont have not a demon;, but I honor my Father, and yeyou dishonor me.
8:50 But I dont seek notmy mine own glory:. thereThere is one thatwho seekethseeks and judgethjudges.
8:51 Verily,Most verilycertainly, I saytell unto you, Ifif a manperson keepkeeps my word, he shallwill never see death.
8:52 TheThen the Jews said untoto him, Now we know that thouyou hasthave a demon. Abraham died, andas did the prophets; and thouyou sayestsay, If a man keepkeeps my word, he shallwill never taste of death.
8:53 ArtAre thouyou greater than our father Abraham, who died? andThe the prophets died:. whomWho makestdo thouyou thyselfmake yourself out to be?
8:54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing:. itIt is my Father thatwho glorifiethglorifies me;, of whom yeyou say, that he is yourour God;.
8:55 andYou ye have not known him:, but I know him;. andIf if I should saysaid, I dont know him not, I shallwould be like unto you, a liar:. butBut I know him, and keep his word.
8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day;. andHe he saw it, and was glad.
8:57 The Jews therefore said untoto him, ThouYou artare not yet fifty years old,! andHave hastyou thou seen Abraham?
8:58 Jesus said untoto them, Verily,Most verilycertainly, I saytell unto you, Beforebefore Abraham wascame borninto existence, I amAM.
8:59 TheyTherefore they took up stones therefore to castthrow at him:, but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, having gone through the middle of them, and so passed by.
9:1 AndAs as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth.
9:2 AndHis his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he shouldwas be born blind?
9:3 Jesus answered, NeitherThis didman thisdidnt man sin, nor did his parents:, but that the works of God shouldmight be maderevealed manifest in him.
9:4 WeI must work the works of him thatwho sent me, while it is day:. theThe night comethis coming, when no manone can work.
9:5 WhenWhile I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
9:6 When he had thussaid spokenthis, he spat on the ground, and made claymud ofwith the spittlesaliva, and anointed histhe blind mans eyes with the claymud,
9:7 and said untoto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam which ismeans by interpretation, Sent. HeSo he went away therefore, and washed, and came back seeing.
9:8 TheTherefore the neighbors therefore, and theythose thatwho saw him aforetime, that he was ablind beggar, before said, IsIsnt not this he thatwho sat and begged?
9:9 Others saidwere saying, It is he:. Still others said, were Nosaying, butHe helooks is like him. He said, I am he.
9:10 They said therefore untowere asking him, How then were thineyour eyes opened?
9:11 He answered, TheA man that is called Jesus made claymud, and anointed minemy eyes, and said untoto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash:. soSo I went away and washed, and I received sight.
9:12 AndThen they saidasked unto him, Where is he? He saithsaid, I dont know not.
9:13 They bringbrought tohim thewho Phariseeshad himbeen thatblind aforetimeto wasthe blindPharisees.
9:14 NowIt it was thea sabbathSabbath on the day when Jesus made the clay, mud and opened his eyes.
9:15 Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. AndHe he said untoto them, He put claymud uponon minemy eyes, and I washed, and I see.
9:16 Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepethdoesnt notkeep the sabbathSabbath. ButOthers others said, How can a man thatwho is a sinner do such signs? AndSo there was a division among them.
9:17 TheyTherefore saythey thereforeasked unto the blind man again, What sayestdo thouyou ofsay about him, inbecause that he opened thineyour eyes? AndHe he said, He is a prophet.
9:18 The Jews therefore diddidnt not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him thatwho had received his sight,
9:19 and asked them, saying, Is this your son, whowhom yeyou say was born blind? howHow then dothdoes he now see?
9:20 His parents answered and saidthem, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:;
9:21 but how he now seethsees, we dont know not; or who opened his eyes, we dont know. not:He ask him; he is of age;. heAsk shallhim. He will speak for himself.
9:22 TheseHis thingsparents said histhese parents, things because they feared the Jews:; for the Jews had already agreed already, that if any man shouldwould confess him toas be Christ, he shouldwould be put out of the synagogue.
9:23 Therefore said his parents said, He is of age;. askAsk him.
9:24 So they called a second time the man thatwho was blind a second time, and said untoto him, Give glory to God:. weWe know that this man is a sinner.
9:25 He therefore answered, WhetherI dont know if he is a sinner,. IOne know not: one thing I do know,: that, whereasthough I was blind, now I see.
9:26 They said thereforeto untohim himagain, What did he do to theeyou? howHow openeddid he thineopen your eyes?
9:27 He answered them, I told you even nowalready, and yeyou diddidnt notlisten. hear; Why whereforedo wouldyou yewant to hear it again? wouldYou yedont also want to become his disciples, do you?
9:28 AndThey theyinsulted reviled him, and said, ThouYou artare his disciple;, but we are disciples of Moses.
9:29 We know that God hathhas spoken untoto Moses:. butBut as for this man, we dont know notwhere whence he iscomes from.
9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why,How hereinamazing! isYou thedont marvel, that ye know notwhere whence he iscomes from, and yet he opened minemy eyes.
9:31 We know that God hearethdoesnt notlisten to sinners:, but if anyanyone manis be a worshipperworshiper of God, and dodoes his will, him he hearethlistens to him.
9:32 Since the world began it washas never been heard of that anyanyone one opened the eyes of asomeone man born blind.
9:34 They answered and said unto him, ThouYou wastwere altogether born in sins, and dostdo thouyou teach us? AndThen they castthrew him out.
9:35 Jesus heard that they had castthrown him out;, and finding him, he said, DostDo thouyou believe onin the Son of God?
9:36 He answered and said, AndWho who is he, Lord, that I may believe onin him?
9:37 Jesus said untoto him, ThouYou hasthave both seen him, and he it is thathe speakethwho speaks with theeyou.
9:38 AndHe he said, Lord, I believe.! Andand he worshippedworshiped him.
9:39 And Jesus said, ForI judgment came I into this world for judgment, that theythose thatwho dont see not may see; and that theythose thatwho see may become blind.
9:40 Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said untoto him, Are we also blind?
9:41 Jesus said untoto them, If yeyou were blind, yeyou would have no sin:; but now yeyou say, We see:. Therefore your sin remainethremains.
10:1 Verily,Most verilycertainly, I saytell unto you, Heone thatwho enterethdoesnt notenter by the door into the sheep fold of the sheep, but climbethclimbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
10:2 But heone thatwho enterethenters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
10:3 ToThe himgatekeeper opens the portergate openeth;for him, and the sheep hearlisten to his voice:. andHe hecalls calleth his own sheep by name, and leadethleads them out.
10:4 WhenWhenever he hathbrings putout forth all his own sheep, he goethgoes before them,; and the sheep follow him:, for they know his voice.
10:5 AndThey awill strangerby willno theymeans notfollow followa stranger, but will flee from him:; for they dont know not the voice of strangers.
10:6 ThisJesus parablespoke spakethis Jesusparable untoto them:, but they understooddidnt notunderstand what things they were which he spakewas untotelling them.
10:7 Jesus therefore said untoto them again, Verily,Most verilycertainly, I saytell unto you, I am the sheeps door of the sheep.
10:8 All thatwho came before me are thieves and robbers:, but the sheep diddidnt notlisten hearto them.
10:9 I am the door;. byIf meanyone ifenters anyin manby enter inme, he shallwill be saved, and shallwill go in and go out, and shallwill find pasture.
10:10 The thief comethonly not, comes butto that he may steal, and kill, and destroy:. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
10:11 I am the good shepherd:. theThe good shepherd layethlays down his life for the sheep.
10:12 He thatwho is a hirelinghired hand, and not a shepherd, whosewho doesnt own the sheep are not, beholdethsees the wolf coming, andleaves leaveth the sheep, and fleeth, flees. andThe the wolf snatchethsnatches them, the sheep and scatterethscatters them:.
10:13 heThe fleethhired hand flees because he is a hireling, hired hand and carethdoesnt notcare for the sheep.
10:14 I am the good shepherd;. and I know minemy own, and mineIm ownknown knowby me,my own;
10:15 even as the Father knowethknows me, and I know the Father;. and I lay down my life for the sheep.
10:16 AndI have other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:. them also I must bring them also, and they shallwill hear my voice;. andThey theywill shall become one flock, with one shepherd.
10:17 Therefore doth the Father loveloves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.
10:18 No one takethtakes it away from me, but I lay it down ofby myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. ThisI commandment received Ithis commandment from my Father.
10:19 ThereTherefore arose a division arose again among the Jews because of these words.
10:20 AndMany many of them said, He hathhas a demon, and is mad;insane! whyWhy heardo yeyou listen to him?
10:21 Others said, These are not the sayings of one possessed withby a demon. CanIt isnt possible for a demon to open the eyes of the blind, is it?
10:22 AndIt it was the feastFeast of the dedicationDedication at Jerusalem:.
10:23 itIt was winter;, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomons porch.
10:24 The Jews therefore came roundaround about him, and said untoto him, How long dostwill thouyou hold us in suspense? If thouyou artare the Christ, tell us plainly.
10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and yeyou dont believe. not:The the works that I do in my Fathers name, these beartestify witnessabout of me.
10:26 But yeyou dont believe not, because yeyou are not of my sheep, as I told you.
10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:.
10:28 and I give unto them eternal life; andto theythem. shallThey will never perish, and no one shallwill snatch them out of my hand.
10:29 My Father, who hathhas given them untoto me, is greater than all;. andNo no one is able to snatch them out of themy Fathers hand.
10:31 TheTherefore the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
10:32 Jesus answered them, ManyI goodhave worksshown haveyou Imany showedgood youworks from themy Father;. forFor which of those works do yeyou stone me?
10:33 The Jews answered him, ForWe adont goodstone workyou wefor stonea theegood notwork, but for blasphemy;, and because that thouyou, being a man, makestmake thyselfyourself God.
10:34 Jesus answered them, IsIsnt it not written in your law, I said, Yeyou are gods?
10:35 If he called them gods, untoto whom the word of God came and the scriptureScripture cannotcant be broken,
10:36 do you say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ThouYou blasphemest;blaspheme, because I said, I am the Son of God?
10:37 If I dont do not the works of my Father, dont believe me not.
10:38 But if I do them, though yeyou dont believe not me, believe the works:, that yeyou may know and understandbelieve that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.
10:39 They sought again to takeseize him:, and he went forth out of their hand.
10:40 AndHe he went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where John was baptizing at the first, baptizing; and there he abodestayed there.
10:41 AndMany many came untoto him;. andThey they said, John indeed did no sign:, but alleverything thingsthat whatsoever John spakesaid ofabout this man wereis true.
10:42 AndMany many believed onin him there.
11:1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus offrom Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister, Martha.
11:2 AndIt it was that Mary who had anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
11:3 The sisters therefore sent untoto him, saying, Lord, behold, he for whom thouyou lovesthave great affection is sick.
11:4 But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not untoto death, but for the glory of God, that theGods Son of God may be glorified therebyby it.
11:6 When therefore he heard that he was sick, he abodestayed at that time two days in the place where he was.
11:7 Then after this he saithsaid to the disciples, LetLets us go into JudaeaJudea again.
11:8 The disciples sayasked unto him, Rabbi, the Jews were butjust nowtrying seeking to stone thee;you. andAre goestyou thougoing thitherthere again?
11:9 Jesus answered, AreArent there not twelve hours inof the daydaylight? If a man walkwalks in the day, he stumblethdoesnt notstumble, because he seethsees the light of this world.
11:10 But if a man walkwalks in the night, he stumblethstumbles, because the light isisnt not in him.
11:11 TheseHe thingssaid spakethese he:things, and after thisthat, he saithsaid untoto them, Our friend Lazarus ishas fallen asleep;, but I go,am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.
11:12 The disciples therefore said unto him, Lord, if he ishas fallen asleep, he will recover.
11:13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death:, but they thought that he spakespoke of taking rest in sleep.
11:14 ThenSo Jesus therefore said untoto them plainly then, Lazarus is dead.
11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, toso thethat intentyou ye may believe;. neverthelessNevertheless, letlets us go untoto him.
11:16 Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said untoto his fellow disciples, LetLets us also go, that we may die with him.
11:18 Now Bethany was nighnear unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongsstadia off;away.
11:19 andMany many of the Jews had comejoined tothe women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.
11:20 MarthaThen therefore, when sheMartha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him:, but Mary stillstayed sat in the house.
11:21 Therefore Martha therefore said untoto Jesus, Lord, if thouyou hadstwould have been here, my brother hadwouldnt nothave died.
11:22 AndEven even now I know that, whatsoeverwhatever thouyou shalt ask of God, God will give theeyou.
11:23 Jesus saithsaid untoto her, ThyYour brother shallwill rise again.
11:24 Martha saithsaid untoto him, I know that he shallwill rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
11:25 Jesus said untoto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:. heHe thatwho believethbelieves onin me, thoughwill hestill dielive, yeteven shallif he live;dies.
11:26 andWhoever whosoeverlives liveth and believethbelieves onin me shallwill never die. BelievestDo thouyou believe this?
11:27 She saithsaid untoto him, YeaYes, Lord:. I have believedcome to believe that thouyou artare the Christ, theGods Son of God, even he thatwho comethcomes into the world.
11:28 AndWhen when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, The Teacher is here, and callethis theecalling you.
11:29 AndWhen she, when she heard itthis, she arose quickly, and went untoto him.
11:30 Now Jesus washad not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha met him.
11:31 TheThen the Jews then who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, supposingsaying, thatShe sheis was going untoto the tomb to weep there.
11:32 MaryTherefore therefore, when sheMary came to where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying untoto him, Lord, if thouyou hadstwould have been here, my brother hadwouldnt nothave died.
11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
11:34 and said, Where have yeyou laid him? They saytold unto him, Lord, come and see.
11:36 The Jews therefore said, BeholdSee how much affection he lovedhad for him!
11:37 ButSome some of them said, CouldCouldnt not this man, who opened the eyes of him thatwho was blind, have causedalso thatkept this man alsofrom should not diedying?
11:38 Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, comethcame to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
11:39 Jesus saithsaid, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him thatwho was dead, saithsaid untoto him, Lord, by this time thethere bodyis decayeth;a stench, for he hathhas been dead four days.
11:40 Jesus saithsaid untoto her, SaidDidnt I nottell untoyou thee, that, if thouyou believedstbelieved, thouyou shouldestwould see theGods glory of God?
11:41 So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank theeyou that thouyou heardestlistened to me.
11:42 And I knewknow that thouyou hearestalways listen to me, always: but because of the multitude thatstanding standeth around I said itthis, that they may believe that thouyou didstsent send me.
11:43 AndWhen when he had thussaid spokenthis, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.out!
11:44 He thatwho was dead came forthout, bound hand and foot with gravewrappings, clothes; and his face was boundwrapped aboutaround with a napkincloth. Jesus saithsaid untoto them, LooseFree him, and let him go.
11:45 ManyTherefore thereforemany of the Jews, who came to Mary and beheldsaw thatwhat whichJesus he did, believed onin him.
11:46 But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Jesus had done.
11:47 The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What doare we doing? forFor this man doethdoes many signs.
11:48 If we letleave him thusalone alonelike this, alleveryone men will believe onin him:, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.
11:49 But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said untoto them, YeYou know nothing at all,
11:50 nor do yeyou takeconsider account that it is expedientadvantageous for youus that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish not.
11:51 Now this he saiddidnt notsay this of himself:, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus shouldwould die for the nation;,
11:52 and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God thatwho are scattered abroad.
11:53 So from that day forthforward they took counsel that they might put him to death.
11:54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed thencefrom there into the country near to the wilderness, intoto a city called Ephraim;. andHe stayed there he tarried with thehis disciples.
11:55 Now the passoverPassover of the Jews was at hand:. andMany many went up tofrom Jerusalemthe outcountry ofto theJerusalem country before the passoverPassover, to purify themselves.
11:56 TheyThen they sought therefore for Jesus, and spakespoke with one with another, as they stood in the temple, What thinkdo ye?you Thatthink—that he willisnt notcoming come to the feast at all?
11:57 Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had givencommanded commandment, that, if anyanyone man knew where he was, he should showreport it, that they might takeseize him.
12:1 JesusThen, therefore six days before the passoverPassover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom Jesushe raised from the dead.
12:2 So they made him a supper there:. and Martha served;, but Lazarus was one of themthose thatwho sat at meatthe table with him.
12:3 Therefore Mary therefore took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very precious, and anointed theJesus feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair:. andThe the house was filled with the odorfragrance of the ointment.
12:4 ButThen Judas Iscariot, Simons son, one of his disciples, thatwho shouldwould betray him, saithsaid,
12:5 Why waswasnt not this ointment sold for three hundred shillings, denarii and given to the poor?
12:6 Now this he said this, not because he cared for the poor;, but because he was a thief, and having the bagmoney tookbox, awayused to steal what was put thereininto it.
12:7 But Jesus therefore said, SufferLeave her toalone. keepShe ithas againstkept this for the day of my buryingburial.
12:8 For theyou pooralways ye have alwaysthe poor with you;, but meyou yedont always have not alwaysme.
12:9 TheA commonlarge peoplecrowd therefore of the Jews learned that he was there:; and they came, not for Jesus sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
12:10 But the chief priests tookconspired counselto that they might put Lazarus also to death; also,
12:11 because thaton byaccount reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed onin Jesus.
12:12 On the morrownext day a great multitude that had come to the feast,. whenWhen they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
12:13 they took the branches of the palm trees, and went forthout to meet him, and cried out, Hosanna:! Blessed is he thatwho comethcomes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.!
12:14 And Jesus, having found a young assdonkey, sat thereon;on asit. As it is written,
12:15 FearDont notbe afraid, daughter of Zion:. beholdBehold, thyyour King comethcomes, sitting on ana asssdonkeys colt.
12:16 TheseHis thingsdisciples understooddidnt notunderstand histhese disciplesthings at the first:, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered they that these things were written ofabout him, and that they had done these things untoto him.
12:17 The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, barewas witnesstestifying about it.
12:18 For this cause also the multitude went and met him, forbecause that they heard that he had done this sign.
12:19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, BeholdSee how yeyou prevailaccomplish nothing;. loBehold, the world ishas gone after him.
12:20 Now there were certain Greeks among those thatwho went up to worship at the feast:.
12:21 Therefore, these therefore came to Philip, who was offrom Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we wouldwant to see Jesus.
12:22 Philip comethcame and tellethtold Andrew:, Andrewand comethin turn, andAndrew came with Philip, and they telltold Jesus.
12:23 And Jesus answerethanswered them, saying, The hourtime ishas come, thatfor the Son of manMan shouldto be glorified.
12:24 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Exceptunless a grain of wheat fallfalls into the earth and diedies, it abidethremains by itself alone;. butBut if it diedies, it bearethbears much fruit.
12:25 He thatwho lovethloves his life losethwill lose it;. andHe hewho thathates hateth his life in this world shallwill keep it untoto eternal life eternal.
12:26 If anyanyone manserves serve me, let him follow me;. andWhere where I am, there shall also my servant will also be:. ifIf anyanyone manserves serve me, him will the Father will honor him.
12:27 Now is my soul is troubled;. andWhat what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour.time? But forI thiscame causeto camethis Itime untofor this hourcause.
12:28 Father, glorify thyyour name.! ThereThen came therefore a voice came out of heaventhe sky, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
12:29 TheTherefore the multitude therefore, who that stood by, and heard it, said that it had thundered:. othersOthers said, An angel hathhas spoken to him.
12:30 Jesus answered and said, This voice hathhasnt not come for my sake, but for your sakes.
12:31 Now is the judgment of this world:. nowNow shall the prince of this world will be cast out.
12:32 And I, if I beam lifted up from the earth, will draw all menpeople untoto myself.
12:33 But this he said this, signifying by what mannerkind of death he should die.
12:34 The multitude therefore answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ abidethremains forforever. ever:How anddo howyou sayest thousay, The Son of manMan must be lifted up? whoWho is this Son of manMan?
12:35 Jesus therefore said untoto them, Yet a little while is the light amongis with you. Walk while yeyou have the light, that darkness doesnt overtake you. not:He andwho hewalks that walketh in the darkness knowethdoesnt notknow whitherwhere he goethis going.
12:36 While yeyou have the light, believe onin the light, that yeyou may become sonschildren of light. TheseJesus thingssaid spakethese Jesusthings, and he departed and hid himself from them.
12:37 But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they believeddidnt notbelieve onin him:,
12:38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, spoke: Lord, who hathhas believed our report? AndTo to whom hathhas the arm of the Lord been revealed?
12:39 For this cause they couldcouldnt not believe, for that Isaiah said again,:
12:40 He hathhas blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart;, Lestlest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, Andand shouldwould turn, Andand I shouldwould heal them.
12:41 TheseIsaiah things said Isaiah, these becausethings when he saw his glory;, and hespoke spake of him.
12:42 Nevertheless, even many of the rulers many believed onin him;, but because of the Pharisees they diddidnt not confess it, lestso that they shouldwouldnt be put out of the synagogue:,
12:43 for they loved themens glorypraise that is of men more than theGods glory that is of Godpraise.
12:44 And Jesus cried out and said, HeWhoever thatbelieves believethin on me, believethbelieves not onin me, but onin him thatwho sent me.
12:45 AndHe hewho thatsees beholdeth me beholdethsees him thatwho sent me.
12:46 I amhave come as a light into the world, that whosoeverwhoever believethbelieves onin me may not abideremain in the darkness.
12:47 AndIf ifanyone anylistens manto hear my sayings, and keepdoesnt them notbelieve, I dont judge him. not:For for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
12:48 He thatwho rejectethrejects me, and receivethdoesnt notreceive my sayings, hathhas one thatwho judgethjudges him:. theThe word that I spake, spoke thewill same shall judge him in the last day.
12:49 For I spakespoke not from myself;, but the Father thatwho sent me, hegave hath given me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
12:50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. eternal; The the things therefore which I speak, even as the Father hathhas said untoto me, so I speak.
13:1 Now before the feast of the passoverPassover, Jesus, knowing that his hourtime washad come that he shouldwould depart outfrom of this world untoto the Father, having loved his own thatwho were in the world, he loved them untoto the end.
13:2 AndDuring during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simons son, to betray him,
13:3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came forth from God, and goethwas untogoing to God,
13:4 risetharose from supper, and layethlaid aside his outer garments;. andHe he took a towel, and girdedwrapped himselfa towel around his waist.
13:5 Then he pourethpoured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewiththat he was girdedwrapped around him.
13:6 SoThen he comethcame to Simon Peter. He saithsaid untoto him, Lord, dostdo thouyou wash my feet?
13:7 Jesus answered andhim, saidYou untodont him, know Whatwhat I doam thoudoing knowest not now;, but thouyou shaltwill understand hereafterlater.
13:8 Peter saithsaid untoto him, ThouYou shaltwill never wash my feet.! Jesus answered him, If I dont wash thee notyou, thouyou hasthave no part with me.
13:9 Simon Peter saithsaid untoto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.!
13:10 Jesus saithsaid to him, HeSomeone thatwho ishas bathed needethonly notneeds save to washhave his feet washed, but is completely clean. everyYou whit: and ye are clean, but not all of you.
13:11 For he knew him thatwho shouldwould betray him; therefore he said he, YeYou are not all clean.
13:12 So when he had washed their feet, andput taken his garmentsouter garment back on, and sat down again, he said untoto them, KnowDo yeyou know what I have done to you?
13:13 YeYou call me, Teacher, and, Lord:. andYou ye say well;so correctly, for so I am.
13:14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, yeyou also ought to wash one anothers feet.
13:15 For I have given you an example, that yeyou should also should do as I have done to you.
13:16 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Aa servant is not greater than his Lord;, neither is one thatwho is sent greater than he thatwho sent him.
13:17 If yeyou know these things, blessed are yeyou if yeyou do them.
13:18 I dont speak notconcerning all of you. all: I know whom I have chosen:; but that the scriptureScripture may be fulfilled, He thatwho eatetheats my bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.
13:19 From henceforthnow on, I tell you before it come to passhappens, that, when it is come to passhappens, yeyou may believe that I am he.
13:20 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Hehe thatwho receivethreceives whomsoeverwhomever I send, receivethreceives me; and he thatwho receivethreceives me, receivethreceives him thatwho sent me.
13:21 When Jesus had thussaid saidthis, he was troubled in the spirit, and testified, andMost said, certainly Verily, verily, I saytell unto you, that one of you shallwill betray me.
13:22 The disciples looked at one on another, doubtingperplexed ofabout whom he spakespoke.
13:23 ThereOne wasof athis thedisciples, tablewhom reclining in Jesus bosomloved, onewas ofat histhe disciplestable, whomleaning against Jesus lovedchest.
13:24 Simon Peter therefore beckonethbeckoned to him, and saithsaid untoto him, Tell us who it is of whom he speakethspeaks.
13:25 He, leaning back, as he was, on Jesus breastchest, saithasked unto him, Lord, who is it?
13:26 Jesus therefore answerethanswered, HeIt it is, forhe to whom I shallwill dipgive thethis sop, piece andof givebread when I have dipped it him. So when he had dipped the soppiece of bread, he takethgave and giveth it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
13:27 AndAfter after the soppiece of bread, then Satan entered Satan into him. Then Jesus thereforesaid saithto unto him, What thouyou doestdo, do quickly.
13:28 Now nonobody man at the table knew forwhy what intent he spakesaid this untoto him.
13:29 For some thought, because Judas had the bagmoney box, that Jesus said untoto him, Buy what things we have need of for the feast;, or, that he should give something to the poor.
13:30 HeTherefore then having received thethat sopmorsel, he went out straightway:immediately. andIt it was night.
13:31 When therefore he washad gone out, Jesus saithsaid, Now is the Son of manMan has been glorified, and God ishas been glorified in him;.
13:32 andIf God shallhas been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and straightwayhe shallwill he glorify him immediately.
13:33 Little children, yetI will be with you a little while I am with youlonger. YeYou shallwill seek me:, and as I said untoto the Jews, WhitherWhere I goam going, yeyou cannotcant come;, so now I saytell unto you.
13:34 A new commandment I give untoto you, that yeyou love one another;. evenJust as I have loved you, thatyou ye also love one another.
13:35 By this shalleveryone allwill men know that yeyou are my disciples, if yeyou have love for one to another.
13:36 Simon Peter saithsaid untoto him, Lord, whitherwhere goestare thouyou going? Jesus answered, WhitherWhere I goam going, thouyou canstcant not follow me now;, but thouyou shaltwill follow afterwards.
13:37 Peter saithsaid untoto him, Lord, why cannotcant I follow theeyou even now? I will lay down my life for theeyou.
13:38 Jesus answerethanswered him, WiltWill thouyou lay down thyyour life for me? Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto theeyou, Thethe cockrooster shallwont not crow, tilluntil thouyou hasthave denied me thricethree times.
14:1 LetDont notlet your heart be troubled:. believeBelieve in God,. believeBelieve also in me.
14:2 In my Fathers house are many mansions;homes. ifIf it werewerent not so, I would have told you;. for I goam going to prepare a place for you.
14:3 AndIf if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you untoto myself; that where I am, thereyou ye may be there also.
14:4 AndYou whitherknow where I go, yeand you know the way.
14:5 Thomas saithsaid untoto him, Lord, we dont know notwhere whitheryou thouare goest;going. howHow knowcan we know the way?
14:6 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life:. noNo one comethcomes untoto the Father, butexcept bythrough me.
14:7 If yeyou had known me, yeyou would have known my Father also:. fromFrom henceforthnow yeon, you know him, and have seen him.
14:8 Philip saithsaid untoto him, Lord, show us the Father, and itthat sufficethwill be enough for us.
14:9 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, Have I been sowith you such a long time with you, and dostdo thouyou not know me, Philip? heHe thatwho hathhas seen me hathhas seen the Father;. howHow sayestdo thouyou say, Show us the Father?
14:10 BelievestDont thouyou notbelieve that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? theThe words that I saytell unto you, I speak not from myself:; but the Father abidingwho lives in me doethdoes his works.
14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me:; or else believe me for the very works sake.
14:12 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Hehe thatwho believethbelieves onin me, the works that I do, shall he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, shall he do; because I goam untogoing theto my Father.
14:13 AndWhatever whatsoeveryou yewill shall ask in my name, thatI will Ido doit, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14:14 If yeyou shallwill ask anything in my name, thatI will Ido doit.
14:15 If yeyou love me, ye will keep my commandments.
14:16 And I will pray to the Father, and he shallwill give you another ComforterCounselor, that he may be with you for ever, forever:
14:17 even the Spirit of truth:, whom the world cannotcant receive;, for it beholdethdoesnt see him not,and neitherdoesnt knowethknow him:. yeYou know him;, for he abidethlives with you, and shallwill be in you.
14:18 I will not leave you desolate:orphans. I will come untoto you.
14:19 Yet a little while, and the world beholdethwill see me no more; but yeyou beholdwill see me:. becauseBecause I live, yeyou shallwill live also.
14:20 In that day yeyou shallwill know that I am in my Father, and yeyou in me, and I in you.
14:21 HeOne thatwho hathhas my commandments, and keepethkeeps them, hethat itperson is thatone lovethwho loves me:. andOne hewho thatloves loveth me shallwill be loved ofby my Father, and I will love him, and will manifestreveal myself untoto him.
14:22 Judas not Iscariot saithsaid untoto him, Lord, what ishas comehappened tothat passyou thatare thouabout wiltto manifestreveal thyselfyourself untoto us, and not untoto the world?
14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loveloves me, he will keep my word:. andMy my Father will love him, and we will come untoto him, and make our abodehome with him.
14:24 He thatwho lovethdoesnt love me notdoesnt keepethkeep not my words:. andThe the word which yeyou hear isisnt not mine, but the Fathers who sent me.
14:25 TheseI things have Isaid spokenthese untothings to you, while yetstill abidingliving with you.
14:26 But the ComforterCounselor, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, hewill shall teach you all things, and bringwill toremind youryou remembranceof all that I said untoto you.
14:27 Peace I leave with you;. myMy peace I give untoto you:; not as the world givethgives, I give Ito unto you. LetDont notlet your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
14:28 YeYou heard how I saidtold to you, I goam going away, and I will come untoback to you. If yeyou loved me, yeyou would have rejoiced, because I gosaid untoI theam going to my Father:; for the Father is greater than I.
14:29 AndNow now I have told you before it comehappens toso pass, that, when it is come to passhappens, yeyou may believe.
14:30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh:comes, and he hathhas nothing in me;.
14:31 butBut that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gavecommanded me commandment, even so I do. Arise, letlets us go hencefrom here.
15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandmanfarmer.
15:2 Every branch in me that bearethdoesnt notbear fruit, he takethtakes it away:. andEvery every branch that bearethbears fruit, he cleanseth itprunes, that it may bear more fruit.
15:3 AlreadyYou ye are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken untoto you.
15:4 AbideRemain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannotcant bear fruit ofby itself, exceptunless it abideremains in the vine;, so neither can yeyou, exceptunless yeyou abideremain in me.
15:5 I am the vine,. yeYou are the branches:. He thatwho abidethremains in me, and I in him, thebears same beareth much fruit:, for apart from me yeyou can do nothing.
15:6 If a man abidedoesnt notremain in me, he is castthrown forthout as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, andthrow cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
15:7 If yeyou abideremain in me, and my words abideremain in you, you will ask whatsoeverwhatever yeyou willdesire, and it shallwill be done untofor you.
15:8 HereinIn isthis my Father is glorified, that yeyou bear much fruit; and so shallyou yewill be my disciples.
15:9 Even as the Father hathhas loved me, I also have loved you:. abideRemain ye in my love.
15:10 If yeyou keep my commandments, yeyou shallwill abideremain in my love;, even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abideremain in his love.
15:11 TheseI things have I spoken untothese things to you, that my joy may beremain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
15:12 This is my commandment, that yeyou love one another, even as I have loved you.
15:13 Greater love hathhas no manone than this, that asomeone man lay down his life for his friends.
15:14 YeYou are my friends, if yeyou do thewhatever things which I command you.
15:15 No longer do I call you servants;, for the servant knowethdoesnt notknow what his Lord doeth:does. butBut I have called you friends;, for alleverything things that I heard from my Father, I have made known untoto you.
15:16 YeYou diddidnt not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that yeyou should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide:remain; that whatsoeverwhatever yeyou shallwill ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
15:17 TheseI command these things Ito command you, that yeyou may love one another.
15:18 If the world hatethhates you, yeyou know that it hathhas hated me before it hated you.
15:19 If yeyou were of the world, the world would love its own:. butBut because yeyou are not of the world, butsince I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hatethhates you.
15:20 Remember the word that I said untoto you,: A servant is not greater than his Lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you;. ifIf they kept my word, they will also keep yours also.
15:21 But they will do all these things willto they do unto you for my names sake, because they dont know not him thatwho sent me.
15:22 If I had not come and spoken untoto them, they hadwould not have had sin:; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
15:23 He thatwho hatethhates me, hatethhates my Father also.
15:24 If I hadhadnt not done among them the works which noneno otherone else did, they hadwouldnt nothave had sin:. butBut now have they bothhave seen and also hated both me and my Father.
15:25 But this comethhappened toso pass, that the word may be fulfilled thatwhich iswas written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
15:26 ButWhen when the ComforterCounselor ishas come, whom I will send untoto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, whichwho proceedethproceeds from the Father, he shallwill beartestify witnessabout of me:.
15:27 andYou yewill also bear witnesstestify, because yeyou have been with me from the beginning.
16:1 TheseI things have Isaid spokenthese untothings to you, so that yeyou shouldwouldnt not be caused to stumble.
16:2 They shallwill put you out of the synagogues:. yeaYes, the hourtime cometh,is coming that whosoeverwhoever killethkills you shallwill think that he offerethoffers service untoto God.
16:3 AndThey will do these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
16:4 But theseI things have Itold spokenyou untothese you, things so that when theirthe hourtime is comecomes, yeyou may remember them, how that I told you. Andabout thesethem. things I saiddidnt nottell unto you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
16:5 But now I goam untogoing to him thatwho sent me;, and none of you askethasks me, WhitherWhere goestare thouyou going?
16:6 But because I have spokentold you these things unto you, sorrow hathhas filled your heart.
16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedientto foryour youadvantage that I go away; for if I dont go not away, the ComforterCounselor willwont not come untoto you;. butBut if I go, I will send him untoto you.
16:8 AndWhen he, whenhas he is come, he will convict the world inabout respect of sin, andabout of righteousness, and ofabout judgment:;
16:9 ofabout sin, because they dont believe notin on me;
16:10 ofabout righteousness, because I goam going to themy Father, and yeyou beholdwont see me noany more;
16:11 ofabout judgment, because the prince of this world hathhas been judged.
16:12 I still have yet many things to saytell unto you, but yeyou cannotcant bear them now.
16:13 HowbeitHowever, when he, the Spirit of truth, ishas come, he shallwill guide you into all the truth:, for he shallwill not speak from himself; but whatwhatever things soever he shall hearhears, thesehe shallwill he speak:. andHe hewill shall declare untoto you the things that are to comecoming.
16:14 He shallwill glorify me:, for he shallwill take offrom what is mine, and shallwill declare it untoto you.
16:15 All things whatsoeverthat the Father hathhas are mine:; therefore I said I, that he takethtakes of mine, and shallwill declare it untoto you.
16:16 A little while, and yeyou beholdwill menot nosee more;me. andAgain again a little while, and yeyou shallwill see me.
16:17 Some of his disciples therefore said to one to another, What is this that he saithsays untoto us, A little while, and yeyou beholdwont see me, not; and again a little while, and yeyou shallwill see me:; and, Because I go to the Father?
16:18 They said therefore, What is this that he saithsays, A little while? We dont know not what he saithis saying.
16:19 Therefore Jesus perceived that they werewanted desirous to ask him, and he said untoto them, Do yeyou inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, A little while, and yeyou beholdwont see me not, and again a little while, and yeyou shallwill see me?
16:20 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, that yeyou shallwill weep and lament, but the world shallwill rejoice:. yeYou shallwill be sorrowful, but your sorrow shallwill be turned into joy.
16:21 A woman, when she isgives inbirth, travailhas hath sorrow, because her hourtime ishas come:. butBut when she ishas delivered of the child, she rememberethdoesnt noremember more the anguish any more, for the joy that a manhuman being is born into the world.
16:22 AndTherefore yeyou therefore now have sorrow:, but I will see you again, and your heart shallwill rejoice, and your joy no one takethwill take your joy away from you.
16:23 AndIn in that day yeyou shallwill ask me no questionquestions. Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto you, Ifwhatever yeyou shallmay ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you in my name.
16:24 HithertoUntil now, you have ye asked nothing in my name:. askAsk, and yeyou shallwill receive, that your joy may be made full.
16:25 TheseI things have I spoken untothese things to you in darkfigures sayings:of speech. But the hourtime cometh,is coming when I shallwill no more speak untoto you in darkfigures sayingsof speech, but shallwill tell you plainly ofabout the Father.
16:26 In that day yeyou shallwill ask in my name:; and I dont say notto unto you, that I will pray to the Father for you;,
16:27 for the Father himself lovethloves you, because yeyou have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the FatherGod.
16:28 I came out from the Father, and amhave come into the world:. againAgain, I leave the world, and go untoto the Father.
16:29 His disciples saysaid to him, LoBehold, now speakestyou thouare speaking plainly, and speakestusing no darkfigures sayingof speech.
16:30 Now we know we that thouyou knowestknow all things, and needestdont notneed thatfor anyanyone manto shouldquestion askyou. thee:By by this we believe that thouyou camestcame forth from God.
16:31 Jesus answered them, Do yeyou now believe?
16:32 Behold, the hourtime comethis coming, yeayes, isand has now come, that yeyou shallwill be scattered, everyeveryone man to his own place, and shallyou will leave me alone:. andYet yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
16:33 TheseI things have Itold spokenyou untothese youthings, that in me yeyou may have peace. In the world yeyou have tribulation:trouble; but becheer ofup! good cheer; I have overcome the world.
17:1 TheseJesus thingssaid spakethese Jesus;things, andthen lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hourtime ishas come;. glorifyGlorify thyyour Son, that theyour Son may also glorify thee:you;
17:2 even as thouyou gavestgave him authority over all flesh, thatso he will give eternal life to all whom thouyou hasthave given him, he should give eternal life.
17:3 AndThis this is eternal life eternal, that they should know theeyou, the only true God, and him whom thouyou didst sendsent, even Jesus Christ.
17:4 I glorified theeyou on the earth,. havingI have accomplished the work which thouyou hasthave given me to do.
17:5 And nowNow, Father, glorify thou me with thineyour own self with the glory which I had with theeyou before the world wasexisted.
17:6 I manifestedrevealed thyyour name untoto the menpeople whom thouyou gavesthave given me out of the world:. thineThey theywere wereyours, and thouyou gavesthave given them to me;. andThey they have kept thyyour word.
17:7 Now they knowhave known that all things whatsoeverwhatever thouyou hasthave given me are from thee:you,
17:8 for the words which thouyou gavesthave given me I have given untoto them; and they received them, and knew offor asure truth that I came forth from thee, you. andThey theyhave believed that thouyou didstsent send me.
17:9 I pray for them:. I dont pray not for the world, but for those whom thouyou hasthave given me;, for they are thine:yours.
17:10 andAll all things that are mine are thineyours, and thineyours are mine:, and I am glorified in them.
17:11 And I am no more in the world, andbut these are in the world, and I comeam coming to theeyou. Holy Father, keep them inthrough thyyour name which thouyou hasthave given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thyyour name. whichI thouhave hastkept giventhose me:whom andyou Ihave guardedgiven them,me. andNone not one of them perished,is butlost except the son of perdition;destruction, that the scriptureScripture might be fulfilled.
17:13 But now I come to thee;you, and I say these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.
17:14 I have given them thyyour word;. andThe the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17:15 I pray not that thouyou shouldestwould take them from the world, but that thouyou shouldestwould keep them from the evil one.
17:17 Sanctify them in theyour truth:. thyYour word is truth.
17:18 As thouyou didstsent send me into the world, even so I have sent I them into the world.
17:19 AndFor for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
17:20 NeitherNot for these only do I pray, but for themthose also thatwho will believe onin me through their word;,
17:21 that they may all be one; even as thouyou, Father, artare in me, and I in theeyou, that they also may be one in us:; that the world may believe that thouyou didstsent send me.
17:22 AndThe the glory which thouyou hasthave given me, I have given untoto them;, that they may be one, even as we are one;,
17:23 I in them, and thouyou in me, that they may be perfected into one;, that the world may know that thouyou didstsent send me, and lovedstloved them, even as thouyou lovedstloved me.
17:24 Father, I desire that they also whom thouyou hasthave given me be with me where I am, that they may beholdsee my glory, which thouyou hasthave given me:, for thouyou lovedstloved me before the foundation of the world.
17:25 ORighteous righteous Father, the world knewhasnt theeknown notyou, but I knew theeyou; and these knew that thouyou didstsent send me;.
17:26 and I made known untoto them thyyour name, and will make it known; that the love wherewithwith thouwhich lovedstyou loved me may be in them, and I in them.
18:1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forthout with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he entered, himself and his disciples entered.
18:2 Now Judas also, who betrayed him, also knew the place:, for Jesus oftoften timesmet resortedthere thither with his disciples.
18:3 Judas then, having receivedtaken thea banddetachment of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, comethcame thitherthere with lanterns, and torches, and weapons.
18:4 Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were cominghappening uponto him, went forth, out and saithsaid untoto them, WhomWho seekare yeyou looking for?
18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saithsaid untoto them, I am he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
18:6 When therefore he said untoto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
18:7 Again therefore he asked them, WhomWho seekare yeyou looking for? AndThey they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
18:8 Jesus answered, I told you that I am he;. ifIf therefore yeyou seek me, let these go their way:,
18:9 that the word might be fulfilled which he spakespoke, Of those whom thouyou hasthave given me, I have lost not onenone.
18:10 Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, and struck the high priests servant, and cut off his right ear. NowThe the servants name was Malchus.
18:11 Jesus therefore said untoto Peter, Put up the sword into theits sheath:. theThe cup which the Father hathhas given me, shall I not surely drink it?
18:12 So the banddetachment, and the chiefcommanding captainofficer, and the officers of the Jews, seized Jesus and bound him,
18:13 and led him to Annas first;, for he was father in law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.
18:14 Now Caiaphasit was heCaiaphas thatwho gaveadvised counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should dieperish for the people.
18:15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, andas so did another disciple. Now that disciple was known untoto the high priest, and entered in with Jesus into the court of the high priest;
18:16 but Peter was standing at the door withoutoutside. So the other disciple, who was known untoto the high priest, went out and spakespoke untoto her thatwho kept the door, and brought in Peter.
18:17 TheThen the maid thereforewho that kept the door saithsaid untoto Peter, ArtAre thouyou also one of this mans disciples? He saithsaid, I am not.
18:18 Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals;, for it was cold;. andThey they were warming themselves:. and Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.
18:19 The high priest therefore asked Jesus ofabout his disciples, and ofabout his teaching.
18:20 Jesus answered him, I havespoke spoken openly to the world;. I everalways taught in synagogues, and in the temple, where all the Jews comealways together;meet. andI said nothing in secret spake I nothing.
18:21 Why askestdo thouyou ask me? askAsk themthose thatwho have heard me, what I spakesaid untoto them:. beholdBehold, thesethey know the things which I said.
18:22 AndWhen when he had said this, one of the officers standing by struckslapped Jesus with his hand, saying, AnswerestDo thouyou answer the high priest solike that?
18:23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, beartestify witness of the evil:; but if well, why smitestdo thouyou beat me?
18:24 Annas therefore sent him bound untoto Caiaphas, the high priest.
18:25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore untoto him, ArtYou thouarent also one of his disciples, are you? He denied, it and said, I am not.
18:26 One of the servants of the high priest, being a kinsmanrelative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, saithsaid, DidDidnt not I see theeyou in the garden with him?
18:27 Peter therefore denied it again:, and straightwayimmediately the cockrooster crewcrowed.
18:28 They leadled Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium:. andIt it was early;, and they themselves entereddidnt notenter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passoverPassover.
18:29 Pilate therefore went out untoto them, and saithsaid, What accusation do you bring ye against this man?
18:30 They answered and said unto him, If this man werewerent not an evil doerevildoer, we shouldwouldnt not have delivered him up untoto theeyou.
18:31 Pilate therefore said untoto them, Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law. TheTherefore the Jews said untoto him, It is notillegal lawful for us to put anyanyone man to death:,
18:32 that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spakespoke, signifying by what mannerkind of death he should die.
18:33 Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, and called Jesus, and said untoto him, ArtAre thouyou the King of the Jews?
18:34 Jesus answered him, SayestDo thouyou say this ofby thyselfyourself, or did others tell ityou theeabout concerning me?
18:35 Pilate answered, AmIm Inot a Jew, am I? ThineYour own nation and the chief priests delivered theeyou untoto me:. whatWhat hasthave thouyou done?
18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdomKingdom is not of this world:. ifIf my kingdomKingdom were of this world, then would my servants would fight, that I shouldwouldnt not be delivered to the Jews:. butBut now is my kingdomKingdom is not from hencehere.
18:37 Pilate therefore said untoto him, ArtAre thouyou a king then? Jesus answered, ThouYou sayestsay that I am a king. ToFor this endreason I have I been born, and tofor this endreason am I have come into the world, that I should beartestify witnessto unto the truth. EveryEveryone onewho that is of the truth hearethlistens to my voice.
18:38 Pilate saithsaid untoto him, What is truth? AndWhen when he had said this, he went out again untoto the Jews, and saithsaid untoto them, I find no crimebasis infor a charge against him.
18:39 But yeyou have a custom, that I should release untosomeone to you one at the passover:Passover. willTherefore, yedo thereforeyou thatwant Ime to release untoto you the King of the Jews?
18:40 TheyThen criedthey outall thereforeshouted again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas.! Now Barabbas was a robber.
19:1 ThenSo Pilate thereforethen took Jesus, and scourgedflogged him.
19:2 AndThe the soldiers plattedtwisted thorns into a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and arrayeddressed him in a purple garment;.
19:3 andThey theykept came unto himsaying, and said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they struckkept slapping him with their hands.
19:4 AndThen Pilate went out again, and saithsaid untoto them, Behold, I bring him out to you, that yeyou may know that I find no crimebasis infor a charge against him.
19:5 Jesus therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. And Pilate saithsaid untoto them, Behold, the man!
19:6 When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried outshouted, saying, Crucify! him, crucify himCrucify! Pilate saithsaid untoto them, Take him yourselves, and crucify him:, for I find no crimebasis infor a charge against him.
19:7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by thatour law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
19:8 When therefore Pilate therefore heard this saying, he was the more afraid;.
19:9 andHe he entered into the Praetorium again, and saithsaid untoto Jesus, WhenceWhere artare thouyou from? But Jesus gave him no answer.
19:10 Pilate therefore saithsaid untoto him, SpeakestArent thouyou notspeaking untoto me? knowestDont thouyou notknow that I have power to release thee, you and have power to crucify theeyou?
19:11 Jesus answered him, ThouYou wouldestwould have no power at all against me, exceptunless it were given theeto you from above:. thereforeTherefore he thatwho delivered me untoto theeyou hathhas greater sin.
19:12 UponAt this, Pilate soughtwas seeking to release him:, but the Jews cried out, saying, If thouyou release this man, thouyou artarent not Caesars friend:! everyEveryone onewho thatmakes maketh himself a king speakethspeaks against Caesar.!
19:13 When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.
19:14 Now it was the Preparation Day of the passover:Passover, itat was about the sixth hour. AndHe hesaid saithto unto the Jews, Behold, your King!
19:15 They therefore cried out, Away with him,! awayAway with him,! crucifyCrucify him! Pilate saithsaid untoto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.!
19:16 ThenSo thereforethen he delivered him untoto them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led him away.
19:17 TheyHe took Jesus therefore: and he went out, bearing thehis cross for himself, untoto the place called The placePlace of a skullSkull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha:,
19:18 where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Jesus in the midstmiddle.
19:19 And Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. AndThere there was written, JesusJESUS ofOF NazarethNAZARETH, theTHE KingKING ofOF theTHE JewsJEWS.
19:20 ThisTherefore title therefore read many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was nighnear to the city; and it was written in Hebrew, and in Latin, and in Greek.
19:21 The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, WriteDont notwrite, The King of the Jews;, but, that he said, I am King of the Jews.
19:22 Pilate answered, What I have written, I have written.
19:23 TheThen the soldiers therefore, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the coat:tunic. nowNow the coattunic was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
19:24 TheyThen they said thereforeto one to another, LetLets us not rendtear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shallwill be:, that the scriptureScripture might be fulfilled, which saithsays, They parted my garments among them,. AndThey uponcast lots for my vestureclothing. Therefore the soldiers did theythese cast lotsthings.
19:25 These things therefore the soldiers did. But there were standing by theJesus cross ofwere Jesus his mother, and his mothers sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
19:26 WhenTherefore when Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by whom he loved standing there, he saithsaid untoto his mother, Woman, behold, thyyour son!
19:27 Then saith he said to the disciple, Behold, thyyour mother! AndFrom from that hour, the disciple took her untoto his own home.
19:28 After this, Jesus, knowingseeing that all things arewere now finished, that the scriptureScripture might be accomplishedfulfilled, saithsaid, I thirst.am thirsty!
19:29 ThereNow was set there a vessel full of vinegar: was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar uponon hyssop, and broughtheld it toat his mouth.
19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished:! andThen he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.
19:31 TheTherefore the Jews therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies shouldwouldnt not remain on the cross uponon the sabbathSabbath for the day of that sabbathSabbath was a highspecial dayone, asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
19:32 TheTherefore the soldiers therefore came, and brakebroke the legs of the first, and of the other thatwho was crucified with him:;
19:33 but when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was already dead already, they brakedidnt notbreak his legs:.
19:34 howbeitHowever, one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, andwith straightwaya therespear, cameand outimmediately blood and water came out.
19:35 AndHe hewho thathas hath seen hathhas borne witnesstestified, and his witnesstestimony is true:. andHe heknows knoweth that he saithtells truethe truth, that yeyou also may believe.
19:36 For these things camehappened to pass, that the scriptureScripture might be fulfilled, A bone of him shallwill not be broken.
19:37 AndAgain again another scriptureScripture saithsays, They shallwill look on him whom they pierced.
19:38 AndAfter after these things, Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away theJesus body. of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leavepermission. He came therefore, and took away his body.
19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, he who at the first came to himJesus by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred Roman pounds.
19:40 So they took theJesus body of Jesus, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.
19:41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden;. andIn in the garden was a new tomb whereinin waswhich neverno man had ever yet been laid.
19:42 ThereThen, then because of the Jews Preparation Day for the tomb was nighnear at hand, they laid Jesus there.

20:2 SheTherefore runnethshe therefore, ran and comethcame to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saithsaid untoto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we dont know not where they have laid him.!
20:3 Therefore Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb.
20:4 AndThey theyboth ran both together:. andThe the other disciple outran Peter, and came first to the tomb; first.
20:5 andStooping stooping and looking in, he seethsaw the linen cloths lying there; yet entered he notdidnt enter in.
20:6 Then Simon Peter therefore also comethcame, following him, and entered into the tomb;. andHe hesaw beholdeth the linen cloths lying,
20:7 and the napkin, cloth that washad uponbeen on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.
20:8 ThenSo enteredthen in therefore the other disciple also, who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw, and believed.
20:9 For as yet they knewdidnt notknow the scriptureScripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
20:10 So the disciples went away again untoto their own homehomes.
20:11 But Mary was standing withoutoutside at the tomb weeping:. so,So as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb;,
20:12 and she beholdethsaw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
20:13 AndThey theyasked say unto her, Woman, why weepestare thouyou weeping? She saithsaid untoto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I dont know not where they have laid him.
20:14 When she had thussaid saidthis, she turned herselfaround back, and beholdethsaw Jesus standing, and knewdidnt notknow that it was Jesus.
20:15 Jesus saithsaid untoto her, Woman, why weepestare thouyou weeping? whomWho seekestare thouyou looking for? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saithsaid untoto him, Sir, if thouyou hasthave bornecarried him henceaway, tell me where thouyou hasthave laid him, and I will take him away.
20:16 Jesus saithsaid untoto her, Mary. She turnethturned herself, and saithsaid untoto him in Hebrew, Rabboni;! which is to say, Teacher.!
20:17 Jesus saithsaid to her, TouchDont hold me, not; for I amhavent not yet ascended untoto themy Father:; but go untoto my brethren, brothers and saytell to them, I ascendam untoascending to my Father and your Father, andto my God and your God.
20:18 Mary Magdalene comethcame and tellethtold the disciples, Ithat haveshe had seen the Lord;, and that he had said these things untoto her.
20:19 When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shutlocked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, middle and saithsaid untoto them, Peace be untoto you.
20:20 AndWhen when he had said this, he showed unto them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.
20:21 Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace be untoto you:. asAs the Father hathhas sent me, even so I send I you.
20:22 AndWhen when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saithsaid untoto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:!
20:23 whoseIf soeveryou sinsforgive yeanyones forgivesins, they arehave been forgiven unto them;. whoseIf soeveryou sinsretain yeanyones retainsins, they arehave been retained.
20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, waswasnt not with them when Jesus came.
20:25 The other disciples therefore said untoto him, We have seen the Lord.! But he said untoto them, ExceptUnless I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.
20:26 AndAfter after eight days, again his disciples were within, inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus comethcame, the doors being shutlocked, and stood in the midstmiddle, and said, Peace be untoto you.
20:27 Then saith he said to Thomas, Reach hitherhere thyyour finger, and see my hands;. andReach reachhere hitheryour thy hand, and put it into my side:. andDont be not faithlessunbelieving, but believing.
20:28 Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.!
20:29 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, Because thouyou hasthave seen me, thouyou hasthave believed:. blessedBlessed are theythose thatwho have not seen, and yet have believed.
20:30 ManyTherefore otherJesus signsdid thereforemany didother Jesussigns in the presence of thehis disciples, which are not written in this book:;
20:31 but these are written, that yeyou may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God;, and that believing yeyou may have life in his name.
21:1 After these things, Jesus manifestedrevealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias;. andHe herevealed manifested himself on this wiseway.
21:2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two otherothers of his disciples were together.
21:3 Simon Peter saithsaid untoto them, IIm gogoing a fishing. They saytold unto him, We are also comecoming with theeyou. They immediately went forth, out and entered into the boat;. andThat that night, they tookcaught nothing.
21:4 But when day washad nowalready breakingcome, Jesus stood on the beach:; yet the disciples knewdidnt notknow that it was Jesus.
21:5 Jesus therefore saithsaid untoto them, Children, have yeyou aughtanything to eat? They answered him, No.
21:6 AndHe he said untoto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and yeyou shallwill find some. They cast it therefore, and now they werewerent not able to draw it in for the multitude of fishesfish.
21:7 That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved saithsaid untoto Peter, ItIts is the Lord.! So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girtwrapped his coat aboutaround himhimself for he was naked, and castthrew himself into the sea.
21:8 But the other disciples came in the little boat for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits offaway, dragging the net full of fishesfish.
21:9 So when they got out uponon the land, they seesaw a fire of coals there, andwith fish and bread laid thereon,on and breadit.
21:10 Jesus saithsaid untoto them, Bring some of the fish which yeyou have nowjust takencaught.
21:11 Simon Peter therefore went up, and drew the net to land, full of greatone fishes, a hundred and fifty and three: andgreat forfish. allEven though there were so many, the net waswasnt not renttorn.
21:12 Jesus saithsaid untoto them, Come and breakeat yourbreakfast! fast.None And none of the disciples durstdared inquire of him, Who artare thouyou? knowing that it was the Lord.
21:13 Then Jesus cometh, came and takethtook the bread, andgave givethit to them, and the fish likewise.
21:14 This is now the third time that Jesus was manifestedrevealed to thehis disciples, after that he washad risen from the dead.
21:15 So when they had brokeneaten their fastbreakfast, Jesus saithsaid to Simon Peter, Simon, son of JohnJonah, lovestdo thouyou love me more than these? He saithsaid untoto him, YeaYes, Lord; thouyou knowestknow that I lovehave theeaffection for you. He saithsaid untoto him, Feed my lambs.
21:16 He saithsaid to him again a second time, Simon, son of JohnJonah, lovestdo thouyou love me? He saithsaid untoto him, YeaYes, Lord; thouyou knowestknow that I lovehave theeaffection for you. He saithsaid untoto him, Tend my sheep.
21:17 He saithsaid untoto him the third time, Simon, son of JohnJonah, lovestdo thouyou have affection for me? Peter was grieved because he saidasked unto him the third time, LovestDo thouyou have affection for me? AndHe he said untoto him, Lord, thouyou knowestknow alleverything. things; You thouknow knowest that I lovehave theeaffection for you. Jesus saithsaid untoto him, Feed my sheep.
21:18 Verily,Most verily, certainly I saytell unto theeyou, Whenwhen thouyou wastwere young, thouyou girdedstdressed thyself, yourself and walkedstwalked whitherwhere thouyou wouldest:wanted butto. But when thouyou shaltare be old, thouyou shaltwill stretch forthout thyyour hands, and another shallwill girddress thee, you and carry theeyou whitherwhere thouyou wouldestdont notwant to go.
21:19 Now this he spakesaid this, signifying by what mannerkind of death he shouldwould glorify God. AndWhen when he had spokensaid this, he saithsaid untoto him, Follow me.
21:20 Then Peter, turning aboutaround, seethsaw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus loved, following;the one who had also leaned back on hisJesus breastchest at the supper, and saidasked, Lord, who is hegoing thatto betrayethbetray theeyou?
21:21 Peter, therefore seeing him, saithsaid to Jesus, Lord, and what shallabout this man do?
21:22 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, If I willdesire that he tarrystay tilluntil I come, what is that to theeyou? You follow thou me.
21:23 This saying therefore went forthout among the brethren, brothers that thatthis disciple shouldwouldnt not die:. yetYet Jesus saiddidnt notsay untoto him, that he shouldwouldnt not die;, but, If I willdesire that he tarrystay tilluntil I come, what is that to theeyou?
21:24 This is the disciple thatwho bearethtestifies witnessabout of these things, and wrote these things:. andWe we know that his witness is true.
21:25 AndThere there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they shouldwould all be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself wouldwouldnt nothave containroom for the books that shouldwould be written.
