1:1 God, having ofin oldthe timepast spoken untoto the fathers inthrough the prophets byat diversmany portionstimes and in diversvarious mannersways,
1:2 hathhas at the end of these days spoken untoto us inby his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;.
1:3 whoHis beingSon is the effulgenceradiance of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had madeby purificationhimself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;,
1:4 having become byas so much better than the angels, as the more excellent name he hathhas inherited ais morebetter excellent name than theytheirs.
1:5 For untoto which of the angels saiddid he say at any time, ThouYou artare my Son,. ThisToday dayI have Ibecome begottenyour theefather? and again, I will be to him a Father, Andand he shallwill be to me a Son?
1:6 AndWhen when he again bringethbrings in the firstborn into the world he saithsays, AndLet let all the angels of God worship him.
1:7 AndOf of the angels he saithsays, WhoHe makethmakes his angels winds, Andand his ministersservants a flame of fire:.
1:8 butBut of the Son he saithsays, ThyYour throne, O God, is forforever ever and ever;. AndThe thescepter sceptre of uprightness is the sceptrescepter of thyyour kingdomKingdom.
1:9 ThouYou hasthave loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Thereforetherefore God, thyyour God, hathhas anointed theeyou Withwith the oil of gladness above thyyour fellows.
1:10 And, ThouYou, Lord, in the beginning, didstlaid lay the foundation of the earth,. AndThe the heavens are the works of thyyour hands:.
1:11 They shallwill perish;, but thouyou continuest:continue. AndThey they all shallwill waxgrow old aslike doth a garment; does.
1:12 AndYou aswill a mantle shalt thou roll them up, Aslike a garmentmantle, and they shallwill be changed:; Butbut thouyou artare the same,. AndYour thy years shallwont not fail.
1:13 But of which of the angels hathhas he saidtold at any time, Sit thouat on my right hand, Tilluntil I make thineyour enemies the footstool of thyyour feet?
1:14 AreArent they not all ministeringserving spirits, sent forthout to do service for the sake of themthose thatwho shallwill inherit salvation?
2:1 Therefore we ought to givepay thegreater moreattention earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haplyperhaps we drift away from them.
2:2 For if the word spoken through angels proved stedfaststeadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;penalty,
2:3 how shallwill we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? —which having at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed untoto us by themthose thatwho heard;,
2:4 God also bearingtestifying witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifoldvarious powersworks of power, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.?
2:5 For nothe untodidnt angels did he subject the world to come, whereofof which we speak, to angels.
2:6 But one hathhas somewhere testified, saying, What is man, that thouyou artthink mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thouyou visitestcare for him?
2:7 ThouYou madestmade him a little lower than the angels;. ThouYou crownedstcrowned him with glory and honor, And didst set him over the works of thy hands:.
2:8 ThouYou didsthave put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he subjected all things untoto him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we seedont not yet see all things subjected to him.
2:9 But we beholdsee him who hathhas been made a little lower than the angels, even Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for every maneveryone.
2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sonschildren untoto glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
2:11 For both he thatwho sanctifiethsanctifies and theythose thatwho are sanctified are all offrom one:, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethrenbrothers,
2:12 saying, I will declare thyyour name untoto my brethren, brothers. InAmong the midstcongregation ofI the congregation will I sing thyyour praise.
2:13 And againAgain, I will put my trust in him. And againAgain, Behold, here I andam with the children whom God hathhas given me.
2:14 Since then the children arehave sharersshared in flesh and blood, he also himself in likethe mannersame way partook of the same;, that through death he might bring to noughtnothing him thatwho had the power of death, that is, the devil;,
2:15 and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
2:16 For verilymost notcertainly, tohe angelsdoesnt dothgive hehelp giveto helpangels, but he givethgives help to the seedoffspring of Abraham.
2:17 WhereforeTherefore ithe behoovedwas himobligated in all things to be made like unto his brethrenbrothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiationatonement for the sins of the people.
2:18 For in that he himself hathhas suffered being tempted, he is able to succorhelp themthose thatwho are tempted.
3:1 WhereforeTherefore, holy brethrenbrothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession,: even Jesus;,
3:2 who was faithful to him thatwho appointed him, as also Moses was Moses in all his house.
3:3 For he hathhas been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, bybecause so much as he thatwho built the house hathhas more honor than the house.
3:4 For every house is buildedbuilt by some onesomeone; but he thatwho built all things is God.
3:5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken;,
3:6 but Christ is faithful as a son,Son over his house;. whoseWe house are wehis house, if we hold fast our boldnessconfidence and the glorying of our hope firm untoto the end.
3:7 WhereforeTherefore, even as the Holy Spirit saithsays, ToToday day if yeyou shallwill hear his voice,
3:8 Hardendont notharden your hearts, as in the provocationrebellion, Like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
3:9 Wherewhere your fathers triedtested me byand provingtried me, Andand saw my worksdeeds for forty years.
3:10 WhereforeTherefore I was displeased with thisthat generation, Andand said, They do always err in their heart:, Butbut they diddidnt not know my ways;.
3:11 As I swareswore in my wrath, They shallwill not enter into my rest.
3:12 Take heedBeware, brethrenbrothers, lest haplyperhaps there shallmight be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God:;
3:13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called Totoday, day; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin:.
3:14 forFor we arehave become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm untoto the end:,
3:15 while it is said, ToToday day if yeyou shallwill hear his voice, Hardendont notharden your hearts, as in the provocationrebellion.
3:16 For who, when they heard, did provokerebelled? nay,Wasnt didit not all theythose thatwho came out of Egypt led by Moses?
3:17 AndWith with whom was he displeased forty years? wasWasnt it not with themthose thatwho sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
3:18 AndTo to whom swaredid he swear that they shouldwouldnt not enter into his rest, but to themthose thatwho were disobedient?
3:19 AndWe we see that they werewerent not able to enter in because of unbelief.
4:1 LetLets us fear therefore, lest haply, perhaps aanyone promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of ita promise of entering into his rest.
4:2 For indeed we have had good tidingsnews preached untoto us, even as they also they:did, but the word ofthey hearingheard diddidnt not profit them, because it waswasnt notmixed unitedwith by faith withby themthose thatwho heard.
4:3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest;, even as he hathhas said, As I swareswore in my wrath, Theythey shallwill not enter into my rest:; although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4:4 For he hathhas said this somewhere ofabout the seventh day on this wise, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works;
4:5 and in this place again, They shallwill not enter into my rest.
4:6 Seeing therefore it remainethremains that some should enter thereintointo it, and they to whom the good tidingsnews werewas preached before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,
4:7 he again definethdefines a certain day, To daytoday, saying inthrough David so long a time afterward evenjust as hathhas been said before, ToToday day if yeyou shallwill hear his voice, Hardendont notharden your hearts.
4:9 There remainethremains therefore a sabbathSabbath rest for the people of God.
4:10 For he thatwho ishas entered into his rest hathhas himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
4:11 LetLets us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, thatlest noanyone man fall after the same example of disobedience.
4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quickis able to discern the thoughts and intentsintentions of the heart.
4:13 AndThere there is no creature that is nothidden manifestfrom in his sight:, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him withto whom we havemust togive doan account.
4:14 Having then a great high priest, who hathhas passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, letlets us hold fasttightly to our confession.
4:15 For we dont have not a high priest thatwho cannotcant be touched with the feeling of our infirmities;, but one thatwho hathhas been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
4:16 LetLets us therefore draw near with boldness untoto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace tofor help us in time of need.
5:1 For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:.
5:2 whoThe high priest can beardeal gently with thethose who are ignorant and erringgoing astray, forbecause that he himself is also issurrounded compassed with infirmity;weakness.
5:3 andBecause byof reasonthis, thereofhe ismust bound, offer assacrifices for sins for the people, soas alsowell as for himself, to offer for sins.
5:4 AndNobody notakes manthis taketh the honor untoon himself, but when he is called ofby God, evenjust aslike Aaron was Aaron.
5:5 So also Christ alsodidnt glorifiedglorify not himself to be made a high priest, but it was he thatwho spakesaid untoto him, ThouYou artare my Son,. ThisToday dayI have Ibecome begottenyour thee:father.
5:6 asAs he saithsays also in another place, ThouYou artare a priest forforever, everafter After the order of Melchizedek.
5:7 WhoHe, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplicationspetitions with strong crying and tears untoto him thatwho was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
5:8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered;.
5:9 andHaving having been made perfect, he became untoto all themof thatthose who obey him the author of eternal salvation;,
5:10 named ofby God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
5:11 OfAbout whomhim we have many thingswords to say, and hard ofto interpretationinterpret, seeing yeyou arehave become dull of hearing.
5:12 For whenalthough by reasonthis of the time yeyou oughtshould to be teachers, yeyou haveagain need againto thathave somesomeone one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oraclesrevelations of God;. andYou arehave becomecome suchto as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
5:13 For everyeveryone onewho thatlives partakethon of milk is withoutnot experienceexperienced ofin the word of righteousness;, for he is a babebaby.
5:14 But solid food is for fullgrownthose men,who evenare thosefull grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
6:1 WhereforeTherefore leaving the doctrineteaching of the first principles of Christ, letlets us press on untoto perfection; —not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
6:2 of the teaching of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
6:3 AndThis this will we do, if God permitpermits.
6:4 For asconcerning touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
6:5 and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,
6:6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again untoto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afreshfor themselves again, and put him to an open shame.
6:7 For the land which hathhas drunk the rain that comethcomes oftoften uponon it, and bringethproduces fortha herbscrop meetsuitable for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receivethreceives blessing from God:;
6:8 but if it bearethbears thorns and thistles, it is rejected and nighnear untobeing acursed, curse; whose end is to be burned.
6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things offor you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we thusspeak speak:like this.
6:10 forFor God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which yeyou showed toward his name, in that yeyou ministeredserved unto the saints, and still do ministerserve them.
6:11 AndWe we desire that each one of you may show the same diligence untoto the fulnessfullness of hope even to the end:,
6:12 that yeyou wont be not sluggish, but imitators of themthose who through faith and patienceperseverance inheritinherited the promises.
6:13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by noneno one greater, he swareswore by himself,
6:14 saying, Surely blessing I will bless theeyou, and multiplying I will multiply theeyou.
6:15 And thusThus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
6:16 For men indeed swear by thea greater: one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.
6:17 WhereinIn this way God, being mindeddetermined to show more abundantly untoto the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;,
6:18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to laytake hold of the hope set before us:.
6:19 whichThis hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and stedfaststeadfast and entering into that which is within the veil;,
6:20 whitherwhere as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forforever ever after the order of Melchizedek.
7:2 to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all being first, by interpretation, Kingking of righteousness, and then also Kingking of Salem, which is,means Kingking of peace;,
7:3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God, abidethremains a priest continually.
7:4 Now consider how great this man was, untoto whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chiefbest spoilsplunder.
7:5 AndThey they indeed of the sons of Levi thatwho receive the priests office have a commandment to take tithes offrom the people according to the law, that is, of their brethrenbrothers, though these have come out of the loinsbody of Abraham:,
7:6 but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hathhas takenaccepted tithes offrom Abraham, and hathhas blessed him thatwho hathhas the promises.
7:7 But without any dispute the lesslesser is blessed ofby the bettergreater.
7:8 AndHere herepeople menwho that die receive tithes;, but there one, receives tithes of whom it is witnessedtestified that he livethlives.
7:9 And,We socan to say, that through Abraham even Levi, who receivethreceives tithes, hathhas paid tithes;,
7:10 for he was yet in the loinsbody of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
7:11 Now if thereperfection was perfection through the Levitical priesthood for under it hath the people have received the law, what further need was there thatfor another priest shouldto arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckonedcalled after the order of Aaron?
7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change made also ofin the law.
7:13 For he of whom these things are said belongethbelongs to another tribe, from which no manone hathhas givenofficiated attendance at the altar.
7:14 For it is evident that our Lord hathhas sprung out of Judah;, asabout to which tribe Moses spakespoke nothing concerning priestspriesthood.
7:15 AndThis what we say is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arisetharises another priest,
7:16 who hathhas been made, not after the law of a carnalfleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life:;
7:17 for it is witnessed of himtestified, ThouYou artare a priest forforever, everaccording Afterto the order of Melchizedek.
7:18 For there is aan disannullingannulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and unprofitablenessuselessness
7:19 for the law made nothing perfect, and a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nighnear untoto God.
7:20 AndInasmuch inasmuch as ithe iswas not made priest without the taking of an oath
7:21 for they indeed have been made priests without an oath;, but he with an oath by him that saithsays of him, The Lord swareswore and will not repentchange himselfhis mind, ThouYou artare a priest forforever, ever;according to the order of Melchizedek.
7:22 byBy so much, alsoJesus hathhas Jesus become the suretyguarantee of a better covenant.
7:23 AndMany, they indeed, have been made priests many in number, because that by death they are hindered from continuing: by death.
7:24 butBut he, because he abidethlives for everforever, hathhas his priesthood unchangeable.
7:25 WhereforeTherefore also he is also able to save to the uttermost themthose thatwho draw near untoto God through him, seeing that he everlives livethforever to make intercession for them.
7:26 For such a high priest becamewas fitting for us,: holy, guilelessguiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
7:27 who needethdoesnt not dailyneed, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people:. forFor this he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.
7:28 For the law appointethappoints men as high priests, havingwho infirmity;have weakness, but the word of the oath, which wascame after the law, appointethappoints a Son, perfectedforever forwho evermorehas been perfected.
8:1 Now in the things which we are saying, the chiefmain point is this: Wewe have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
8:2 a ministerservant of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.
8:3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices:. whereforeTherefore it is necessary that this high priest also have somewhatsomething to offer.
8:4 NowFor if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, seeing there are thosepriests who offer the gifts according to the law;,
8:5 who serve that which is a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses iswas warned ofby God when he iswas about to make the tabernacle:, for he said, See, saithyou he,shall that thou make alleverything things according to the pattern that was showedshown theeto inyou on the mountmountain.
8:6 But now hath he has obtained a ministry the more excellent ministry, by soas much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which hathon better promises has been enactedgiven uponas better promiseslaw.
8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then would no place would have been sought for a second.
8:8 For finding fault with them, he saithsaid, Behold, the days comeare coming, saithsays the Lord, Thatthat I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;
8:9 Notnot according to the covenant that I made with their fathers Inin the day that I took them by the hand to lead them forth out of the land of Egypt; Forfor they continueddidnt notcontinue in my covenant, Andand I regardeddisregarded them not, saithsays the Lord.
8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel Afterafter those days, saithsays the Lord;: I will put my laws into their mind,; AndI onwill their heart also will I write them: Andon their heart. I will be totheir them a God, Andand they shallwill be tomy me a people:.
8:11 AndThey theywill shall not teach every man his fellow citizen, Andand every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:, Forfor all shallwill know me, Fromfrom thetheir least to thetheir greatest of them.
8:12 For I will be merciful to their iniquities, unrighteousness. AndI will remember their sins willand Ilawless rememberdeeds no more.
8:13 In that he saithsays, A new covenant, he hathhas made the first oldobsolete. But that which is becoming oldobsolete and waxethgrows aged is nighnear untoto vanishing away.
9:1 Now indeed even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service, and itsan sanctuary, earthly a sanctuary of this world.
9:2 For there was a tabernacle was prepared,. In the first, whereinpart were the candlesticklamp stand, and the table, and the showbread;show bread, which is called the Holy placePlace.
9:3 AndAfter after the second veil, was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of holies;Holies,
9:4 having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaid roundon aboutall sides with gold, whereinin which was a golden pot holding the manna, and Aarons rod that budded, and the tablestablets of the covenant;
9:5 and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat;, of which things we cannotcant speak now speakin severallydetail.
9:6 Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services;,
9:7 but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offerethoffers for himself, and for the errors of the people:.
9:8 theThe Holy Spirit is indicating this signifying, that the way into the holyHoly placePlace hathwasnt not yet beenrevealed made manifest, while the first tabernacle iswas yetstill standing;.
9:9 whichThis is a figuresymbol forof the time present; accordingage, towhere which are offered both gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannotare incapable, asconcerning touching the conscience, makeof making the worshipperworshiper perfect,
9:10 being only with meatsfoods and drinks and diversvarious washings carnalfleshly ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.
9:11 But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,
9:12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holyHoly placePlace, having obtained eternal redemption.
9:13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling themthose thatwho have been defiled, sanctify untoto the cleanness of the flesh:,
9:14 how much more shallwill the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemishdefect untoto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
9:15 AndFor for this causereason he is the mediator of a new covenant, thatsince a death havinghas takenoccurred place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
9:16 For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him thatwho made it.
9:17 For a testamentwill is ofin force where there hathhas been death:, for it dothis never availin force while he thatwho made it livethlives.
9:18 WhereforeTherefore even the first covenant hathhas not been dedicated without blood.
9:19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses untoto all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
9:20 saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded to you ward.
9:21 MoreoverHe sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry hein sprinkledthe insame likeway manner with the blood.
9:22 AndAccording according to the law, Inearly mayeverything almostis say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
9:23 It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these;, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
9:24 For Christ hasnt entered not into a holy placeplaces made with hands, likewhich inare patternrepresentations toof the true;, but into heaven itself, now to appear beforein the facepresence of God for us:;
9:25 nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enterethenters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own;,
9:26 or else must he oftenmust have suffered often since the foundation of the world:. butBut now once at the end of the ages, hath he has been manifestedrevealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
9:27 AndInasmuch inasmuch as it is appointed untofor men once to die once, and after this, cometh judgment;,
9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once offered to bear the sins of many, shallwill appear a second time, apartnot fromto deal with sin, but to themsave thatthose waitwho are eagerly waiting for him, unto salvation.
10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect themthose thatwho draw nighnear.
10:2 ElseOr wouldelse wouldnt they not have ceased to be offered?, because the worshippersworshipers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins.?
10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembranceyearly madereminder of sins year by year.
10:5 WhereforeTherefore when he comethcomes into the world, he saithsays, SacrificeYou didnt desire sacrifice and offering, thoubut wouldestyou not, prepared But a body didst thou prepare for me;.
10:6 InYou had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hadst no pleasure:.
10:7 Then I said I, LoBehold, I amhave come Inin the rollscroll of the book it is written of me Toto do thyyour will, O God.
10:8 SayingPreviously abovesaying, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thouyou wouldestdidnt notdesire, neither hadsthad pleasure thereinin thethem those which are offered according to the law,
10:9 then hath he has said, LoBehold, I amhave come to do thyyour will. He takethtakes away the first, that he may establish the second.,
10:10 Byby which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
10:11 AndEvery every priest indeed standethstands day by day ministeringserving and offering oftentimesoften the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins:,
10:12 but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins for everforever, sat down on the right hand of God;,
10:13 henceforthfrom expectingthat tilltime waiting until his enemies beare made the footstool of his feet.
10:14 For by one offering he hathhas perfected forforever everthose themwho that are being sanctified.
10:15 AndThe the Holy Spirit also bearethtestifies witness to us;, for after he hath saidsaying,
10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them Afterafter those days, saithsays the Lord:, I will put my laws on their heart, AndI uponwill theiralso mindwrite alsothem willon Itheir write themmind; then saithhe hesays,
10:17 AndI will remember their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
10:19 Having therefore, brethrenbrothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
10:20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;,
10:21 and having a great priest over theGods house of God;,
10:22 letlets us draw near with a true heart in fulnessfullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,
10:23 letlets us hold fast the confession of our hope thatwithout it waver notwavering; for he who promised is faithful that promised:.
10:24 andLets letconsider ushow considerto provoke one another to provoke unto love and good works;,
10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another;, and so much the more, as yeyou see the dayDay drawing nighapproaching.
10:26 For if we sin wilfullywillfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remainethremains no more a sacrifice for sins,
10:27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shallwill devour the adversaries.
10:28 A man thatwho hathdisregards set at nought Moses law diethdies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses:.
10:29 ofHow how much sorerworse punishment, thinkdo ye,you shallthink he will be judged worthy, of who hathhas trodden under foot the Son of God, and hathhas counted the blood of the covenant wherewithwith which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hathhas doneinsulted despite unto the Spirit of grace?
10:30 For we know him thatwho said, Vengeance belongethbelongs untoto me,. I will recompenserepay, says the Lord. And againAgain, The Lord shallwill judge his people.
10:32 But callremember to remembrance the former days, in which, after yeyou were enlightened, yeyou endured a great conflictstruggle ofwith sufferings;:
10:33 partly, being madeexposed ato gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions;oppressions, and partly, becoming partakers with themthose thatwho were treated so used.
10:34 For yeyou both had compassion on themme thatin weremy inchains bonds, and took joyfully accepted the spoilingplundering of your possessions, knowing that yeyou have for yourselves a better possession and an abidingenduring one in the heavens.
10:35 CastTherefore notdont throw away therefore your boldness, which hathhas a great recompense of reward.
10:36 For yeyou have need ofendurance patience,so that, having done the will of God, yeyou may receive the promise.
10:37 ForIn yet a very little while, Hehe thatwho comethcomes shallwill come, and shallwill not tarrywait.
10:38 But mythe righteous one shallwill live by faith:. AndIf if he shrinkshrinks back, my soul hathhas no pleasure in him.
10:39 But we are not of themthose thatwho shrink back untoto perdition;destruction, but of themthose thatwho have faith untoto the saving of the soul.
11:1 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, aproof conviction of things not seen.
11:2 For thereinby this, the elders hadobtained witness borne to themapproval.

11:11 By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive, seedand she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised:.
11:12 whereforeTherefore also there sprang of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of heaventhe sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand, which is by the sea shore, innumerablewere fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.
11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and greetedembraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
11:14 For theythose thatwho say such things make it manifestclear that they are seeking after a country of their own.
11:15 AndIf if indeed they had been mindfulthinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunityenough time to return.
11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly: whereforeone. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God;, for he hathhas prepared a city for them a city.
11:17 By faith, Abraham, being triedtested, offered up Isaac:. yeaYes, he thatwho had gladly received the promises was offering up his only begottenborn son;,
11:18 even he to whom it was said, InYour Isaacoffspring shallwill thybe seedaccounted beas called:from Isaac,
11:19 accountingconcluding that God is able to raise up, even from the dead;. fromFiguratively whencespeaking, he did also indid a figure receive him back from the dead.
11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph;, and worshippedworshiped, leaning uponon the top of his staff.

11:25 choosing rather to share ill treatment with theGods people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;time,
11:26 accountingconsidering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt:; for he looked untoto the recompense of reward.
11:27 By faith he forsookleft Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king:; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
11:28 By faith he kept the passover,Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn should not touch them.
11:29 By faith they passed through the Red seaSea as byon dry land:. whichWhen the Egyptians assayingtried to do so, they were swallowed up.
11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they had been compassedencircled about for seven days.
11:31 By faith Rahab the harlotprostitute perisheddidnt notperish with themthose thatwho were disobedient, having received the spies within peace.
11:32 AndWhat whatmore shall I more say? forFor the time willwould fail me if I telltold of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah;, of David, and Samuel, and the prophets:—
11:33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, wroughtworked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
11:34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, waxedgrew mighty in war, turnedand tocaused flightforeign armies ofto aliensflee.
11:35 Women received their dead by a resurrection:. andOthers others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance;, that they might obtain a better resurrection:.
11:36 andOthers otherswere hadtried trialby ofmocking mockings and scourgingsscourging, yeayes, moreover ofby bonds and imprisonment:.
11:37 theyThey were stoned,. theyThey were sawn asunder, apart. theyThey were tempted,. theyThey were slain with the sword:. theyThey went aboutaround in sheepskins, sheep skins and in goatskinsgoat skins; being destitute, afflicted, ill treated—
11:38 of whom the world was not worthy, —wandering in deserts, and mountains, and caves, and the holes of the earth.
11:39 AndThese these all, having hadbeen witnesscommended bornefor to them through their faith, receiveddidnt notreceive the promise,
11:40 God having provided some better thing concerning us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
12:1 Therefore letlets us also, seeing we are compassedsurrounded aboutby with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily besetentangles us, and letlets us run with patienceperseverance the race that is set before us,
12:2 looking untoto Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and hathhas sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
12:3 For consider him thatwho hathhas endured such gainsayingcontradiction of sinners against himself, that yeyou waxdont notgrow weary, fainting in your souls.
12:4 YeYou have not yet resisted untoto blood, striving against sin:.
12:5 andYou ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasonethreasons with you as with sonschildren, My son, regarddont nottake lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nornor faint when thouyou artare reproved ofby him;
12:6 Forfor whom the Lord lovethloves, he chastenethdisciplines, Andand scourgethchastises every son whom he receivethreceives.
12:7 It is for chasteningdiscipline that yeyou endure;. God dealethdeals with you as with sons;children, for what son is there whom his father chastenethdoesnt notdiscipline?
12:8 But if yeyou are without chasteningdiscipline, whereofof which all have been made partakers, then you are ye bastardsillegitimate, and not sonschildren.
12:9 Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we gavepaid them reverence:respect. shallShall we not much rather be in subjection untoto the Father of spirits, and live?
12:10 For they indeed for a few days chasteneddisciplined us as seemed good to them;, but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.
12:11 All chastening seemethseems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yieldethyields peaceablethe peaceful fruit untoof themrighteousness thatto those who have been exercisedtrained thereby,by even the fruit of righteousnessit.
12:12 WhereforeTherefore lift up the hands that hang down, and the palsiedfeeble knees;,
12:13 and make straight paths for your feet, thatso thatwhat which is lame bemay not turnedbe out of the waydislocated, but rather be healed.
12:14 Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shallwill see the Lord:,
12:15 looking carefully lest there be any man thatwho fallethfalls short of the grace of God;, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby the many be defiled; by it,
12:16 lest there be any fornicator, sexually immoral person or profane person, aslike Esau, who forsold onehis messbirthright offor meatone sold his own birthrightmeal.
12:17 For yeyou know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected;, for he found no place for a change of mind in his father, though he sought it diligently with tears.
12:18 For yeyou arehave not come untoto a mountmountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and untoto blackness, and darkness, and tempeststorm,
12:19 and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voicethose theywho that heard entreatedit begged that nonot wordone more word should be spoken untoto them;,
12:20 for they could not endurestand that which was enjoinedcommanded, If even aan beastanimal touchtouches the mountain, it shall be stoned;.
12:21 andSo so fearful was the appearance, that Moses said, I exceedinglyam fearterrified and quake:trembling.
12:22 butBut yeyou arehave come untoto mountMount Zion, and untoto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hostsmultitudes of angels,
12:23 to the generalfestal assemblygathering and churchassembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
12:24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speakethspeaks better than that of Abel.
12:25 See that yeyou dont refuse not him thatwho speakethspeaks. For if they escapeddidnt notescape when they refused him thatwho warned them on the earth, how much more shallwill we not we escape who turn away from him thatwho warnethwarns from heaven:,
12:26 whose voice then shook the earth: then, but now he hathhas promised, saying, Yet once more will I makewill toshake tremble not only the earth only, but also the heavenheavens.
12:27 AndThis this wordphrase, Yet once more, signifiethsignifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain.
12:28 WhereforeTherefore, receiving a kingdomKingdom that cannotcant be shaken, letlets us have grace, wherebythrough which we mayserve offerGod serviceacceptably, well pleasing to God with reverence and awe:,
13:1 Let brotherly love of the brethren continue.
13:2 ForgetDont notforget to show lovehospitality untoto strangers:, for therebyin doing so, some have entertained angels unawareswithout knowing it.
13:3 Remember themthose thatwho are in bonds, as bound with them;, themand thatthose who are ill treated, assince beingyou yourselvesare also in the body.
13:4 Let marriage be hadheld in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled:; forbut fornicatorsGod andwill adulterersjudge Godthe willsexually judgeimmoral and adulterers.
13:5 Be ye free from the love of money;, content with such things as yeyou have:, for himselfhe hathhas said, I will in no wiseway failleave theeyou, neither will I in any wiseway forsake theeyou.
13:6 So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper;. I will not fear:. What shallcan man do untoto me?
13:7 Remember themyour that had the rule over youleaders, men thatwho spakespoke untoto you the word of God;, and considering the issueresults of their lifeconduct, imitate their faith.
13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to daytoday, yea and for everforever.
13:9 BeDont notbe carried away by diversvarious and strange teachings:, for it is good that the heart be established by grace;, not by meatsfoods, whereinthrough theywhich thatthose who were so occupied themselves were not profitedbenefited.
13:10 We have an altar, whereoffrom theywhich those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat that serve the tabernacle.
13:11 For the bodies of those beastsanimals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned withoutoutside of the camp.
13:12 WhereforeTherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered withoutoutside of the gate.
13:13 LetLets us therefore go forthout untoto him withoutoutside of the camp, bearing his reproach.
13:14 For we dont have not here an abidingenduring city, but we seek afterthat the city which is to come.
13:15 Through him, then, letlets us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which makeproclaim confessionallegiance to his name.
13:16 But dont forget to dobe doing good and tosharing, communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
13:17 Obey themyour thatleaders have the rule over you, and submit to them:, for they watch inon behalf of your souls, as theythose thatwho shallwill give account;, that they may do this with joy, and not with grief:groaning, for thisthat werewould be unprofitable for you.
13:18 Pray for us:, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.
13:19 And I exhortstrongly urge you the more exceedingly to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
13:20 Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, even our Lord Jesus,
13:21 make you perfectcomplete in every good thingwork to do his will, working in usyou that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ;, to whom be the glory forforever ever and ever. Amen.
13:22 But I exhort you, brethrenbrothers, bearendure with the word of exhortation:, for I have written untoto you in few words.
13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy hathhas been setfreed, at liberty; with whom, if he comecomes shortly, I will see you.
13:24 SaluteGreet all themof thatyour haveleaders the rule over you, and all the saints. TheyThe ofItalians Italygreet salute you.
