1:6	And God said, Let there be aan firmamentexpanse in the midstmiddle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
1:7	And God made the firmamentexpanse, and divided the waters which were under the firmamentexpanse from the waters which were above the firmament:expanse; and it was so.
1:8	And God called the firmamentexpanse Heavensky. AndThere there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
1:9	And God said, Let the waters under the heavenssky be gathered together untoto one place, and let the dry land appear:; and it was so.
1:10	And God called the dry land Earth;earth, and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas:called andseas. God saw that it was good.
1:11	And God said, Let the earth putyield forth grass, herbs yielding seedseeds, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, whereinwith istheir theseeds seedin thereofit, uponon the earth:; and it was so.
1:12	AndThe the earth broughtyielded forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, whereinwith istheir theseeds seedin thereofit, after their kind:; and God saw that it was good.
1:13	AndThere there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
1:14	And God said, Let there be lights in the firmamentexpanse of heaventhe sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, andto formark seasons, and for days, and years:;
1:15	and let them be for lights in the firmamentexpanse of heaventhe sky to give light uponon the earth:; and it was so.
1:16	And God made the two great lights;: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night:. heHe also made the stars also.
1:17	And God set them in the firmamentexpanse of heaventhe sky to give light uponto the earth,
1:18	and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness:. and God saw that it was good.
1:19	AndThere there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
1:20	And God said, Let the waters swarmabound with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmamentexpanse of heaventhe sky.
1:21	And God created the greatlarge sea monsters,creatures and every living creature that movethmoves, wherewithwith which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind:. and God saw that it was good.
1:22	And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.
1:23	AndThere there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
1:24	And God said, Let the earth bringproduce forth living creatures after their kind, cattlelivestock, and creeping things, and beastsanimals of the earth after their kind:; and it was so.
1:25	And God made the beastsanimals of the earth after their kind, and the cattlelivestock after their kind, and everything that creepethcreeps uponon the ground after its kind:. and God saw that it was good.
1:26	And God said, LetLets us make man in our image, after our likeness:. andLet let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavenssky, and over the cattlelivestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepethcreeps uponon the earth.
1:27	And God created man in his own image,. inIn theGods image ofhe God created he him; male and female he created he them.
1:28	And God blessed them:. and God said untoto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, andfill replenish the earth, and subdue it;. andHave have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavenssky, and over every living thing that movethmoves uponon the earth.
1:29	And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is uponon the facesurface of all the earth, and every tree, in which isbears the fruit of a tree yielding seed;. toIt youwill it shall be foryour food:.
1:30	andTo to every beastanimal of the earth, and to every bird of the heavenssky, and to everything that creepethcreeps uponon the earth, whereinin which there is life, I have given every green herb for food:; and it was so.
1:31	And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. AndThere there was evening and there was morning, thea sixth day.
2:1	AndThe the heavens, and the earth were finished, and all thetheir hostvast ofarray themwere finished.
2:2	AndOn on the seventh day God finished his work which he had madedone; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had madedone.
2:3	And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowedmade it; holy, because thathe rested in it he rested from all his work of creation which Godhe had created and madedone.
2:4	TheseThis areis the history of the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that JehovahYahweh God made the earth and heaventhe heavens.
2:5	AndNo no plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up; for JehovahYahweh God had not caused it to rain uponon the earth:. andThere there was not a man to till the ground;,
2:6	but therea mist went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole facesurface of the ground.
2:7	AndYahweh Jehovah God formed man offrom the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
2:8	AndYahweh Jehovah God planted a garden eastward, in Eden;, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
2:9	AndOut out of the ground Yahweh God made Jehovahevery Godtree to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food;, including the tree of life also in the midstmiddle of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
2:10	AndA a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thencethere it was parted, and became the source of four headsrivers.
2:11	The name of the first is Pishon: that is it whichflows compasseththrough the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
2:12	and the gold of that land is good:. thereBdellium isand bdelliumonyx andstone theare onyxalso stonethere.
2:13	AndThe the name of the second river is Gihon:. It is the same isriver it that compassethflows through the whole land of Cush.
2:14	AndThe the name of the third river is Hiddekel:. thatThis is itthe one which goethflows in front of Assyria. AndThe the fourth river is the Euphrates.
2:15	AndYahweh Jehovah God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dresscultivate it and to keep it.
2:16	AndYahweh Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, OfYou may freely eat of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:;
2:17	but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,; thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thouyou eatesteat thereofof thouit, shaltyou will surely die.
2:18	AndYahweh Jehovah God said, It is not good thatfor the man shouldto be alone;. I will make him a helphelper meetcomparable forto him.
2:19	AndOut out of the ground JehovahYahweh God formed every beastanimal of the field, and every bird of the heavens;sky, and brought them untoto the man to see what he would call them:. andWhatever whatsoever the man called every living creature, thatbecame wasits the name thereof.
2:20	AndThe the man gave names to all cattlelivestock, and to the birds of the heavenssky, and to every beastanimal of the field; but for man there was not found a helphelper meetcomparable forto him.
2:21	AndYahweh Jehovah God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. toAs fall upon the man, and he slept;, and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh insteadin thereof:its place.
2:22	andYahweh God made a woman from the rib, which Jehovahhe God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her untoto the man.
2:23	AndThe the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:. sheShe shallwill be called Womanwoman, because she was taken out of Man.
2:24	Therefore shall a man will leave his father and his mother, and shallwill cleavejoin untowith his wife:, and they shallwill be one flesh.
2:25	AndThe theyman and his wife were both naked, the man and histhey wife, and were not ashamed.
3:1	Now the serpent was more subtle than any beastanimal of the field which JehovahYahweh God had made. AndHe he said untoto the woman, Yea,Has hath God really said, YeYou shall not eat of any tree of the garden?
3:2	AndThe the woman said untoto the serpent, OfWe themay eat fruit offrom the trees of the garden we may eat:,
3:3	but ofnot the fruit of the tree which is in the midstmiddle of the garden,. God hathhas said, YeYou shall not eat of it,. neitherYou shall yenot touch it, lest yeyou die.
3:4	AndThe the serpent said untoto the woman, YeYou shallwont notreally surely die:,
3:5	for God dothknows know that in the day yeyou eat thereofit, then your eyes shallwill be opened, and yeyou shallwill be aslike God, knowing good and evil.
3:6	AndWhen when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of theits fruit thereof, and didate. eat;Then and she gave alsosome untoto her husband with her, and he didate eatit, too.
3:7	AndTheir the eyes of them both were opened, and they both knew that they were naked;. andThey they sewed fig leaves together, and made coverings for themselves aprons.
3:8	AndThey they heard theYahweh Gods voice of Jehovah God walking in the garden in the cool of the day:, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of JehovahYahweh God amongstamong the trees of the garden.
3:9	AndYahweh Jehovah God called untoto the man, and said untoto him, Where artare thouyou?
3:10	AndThe heman said, I heard thyyour voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; andso I hid myself.
3:11	AndGod he said, Who told theeyou that thouyou wastwere naked? HastHave thouyou eaten offrom the tree, whereofthat I commanded theeyou thatnot thouto shouldesteat not eatfrom?
3:12	AndThe the man said, The woman whom thouyou gavestgave to be with me, she gave me offruit from the tree, and I didate eatit.
3:13	AndYahweh Jehovah God said untoto the woman, What ishave thisyou thou hast done? AndThe the woman said, The serpent beguileddeceived me, and I did eatate.
3:14	AndYahweh Jehovah God said untoto the serpent, Because thouyou hasthave done this, cursedyou artare thoucursed above all cattlelivestock, and above every beastanimal of the field;. uponYou thyshall bellygo shalton thouyour go,belly and dustyou shaltshall thou eat dust all the days of thyyour life:.
3:15	and I will put enmityhostility between theeyou and the woman, and between thyyour seedoffspring and her seed:offspring. heHe shallwill bruise thyyour head, and thouyou shaltwill bruise his heel.
3:16	UntoTo the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thyyour pain and thy conception; in painchildbirth. thouYou shaltwill bringbear forth children; andin thypain. Your desire shallwill be tofor thyyour husband, and he shallwill rule over theeyou.
3:17	AndTo unto Adam he said, Because thouyou hasthave hearkenedlistened untoto theyour wifes voice of thy wife, and hasthave eaten offrom the tree, ofabout which I commanded theeyou, saying, ThouYou shaltshall not eat of it:, cursedthe ground is thecursed ground for thyyour sake;. inYou toilwill shalt thou eat offrom it with much labor all the days of thyyour life;.
3:18	It will yield thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to theeyou; and thouyou shaltwill eat the herb of the field;.
3:19	inYou will eat bread by the sweat of thyyour face shaltuntil thouyou eat bread, till thou return untoto the ground;, for you were taken out of it. wastFor thouyou taken:are for dust thou art, and untoyou dustshall shaltreturn thouto returndust.
3:20	AndThe the man called his wifeswife name Eve; because she waswould be the mother of all the living.
3:21	AndYahweh Jehovah God made garments of animal skins for Adam and for his wife coats of skins, and clothed them.
3:22	AndYahweh Jehovah God said, Behold, the man ishas become aslike one of us, toknowing know good and evil;. and nowNow, lest he putreach forthout his hand, and also take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for everforever—
3:23	thereforeTherefore JehovahYahweh God sent him forthout from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whencewhich he was taken.
3:24	So he drove out the man; and he placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden the Cherubim, and thea flameflaming of a sword which turned every way, to keepguard the way ofto the tree of life.
4:1	AndThe the man knew Eve his wife;. andShe she conceived, and baregave birth to Cain, and said, I have gotten a man with theYahwehs help of Jehovah.
4:2	AndAgain again she baregave hisbirth, to Cains brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
4:3	AndAs intime processpassed, ofCain timebrought itan cameoffering to pass,Yahweh thatfrom Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto Jehovah.
4:4	And Abel, he also brought some of the firstlingsfirstborn of his flock and of theits fat thereof. AndYahweh Jehovahrespected had respect unto Abel and to his offering:,
4:5	but untohe didnt respect Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wrothangry, and the expression on his countenanceface fell.
4:6	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto Cain, Why artare thouyou wrothangry? andWhy whyhas isthe thyexpression countenanceof your face fallen?
4:7	If thouyou doestdo well, shallwont it not be lifted up? andIf ifyou thoudont doestdo not well, sin couchethcrouches at the door;. andIts untodesire theeis shallfor beyou, itsbut desire;you butare doto thou rule over it.
4:8	And Cain toldsaid to Abel, his brother., AndLets itgo cameinto tothe pass,field. whenWhile they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and slewkilled him.
4:9	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto Cain, Where is Abel, thyyour brother? AndHe he said, I dont know. not:Am am I my brothers keeper?
4:10	AndYahweh he said, What hasthave thouyou done? theThe voice of thyyour brothers blood criethcries untoto me from the ground.
4:11	AndNow nowyou are cursed artbecause thouof from the ground, which hathhas opened its mouth to receive thyyour brothers blood from thyyour hand;.
4:12	From now on, when thouyou tillesttill the ground, it shallwont notyield henceforthits yieldstrength untoto theeyou. itsYou strength;will be a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth.
4:13	And Cain said untoto JehovahYahweh, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
4:14	Behold, thouyou hasthave driven me out thistoday day from the facesurface of the ground;. andI fromwill thybe facehidden shallfrom Iyour beface, hid; and I shallwill be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth;. andWhoever itfinds will come to pass, that whosoever findeth me will slaykill me.
4:15	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto him, Therefore whosoeverwhoever slayethslays Cain, vengeance shallwill be taken on him sevenfold. AndYahweh Jehovah appointed a sign for Cain, lestso anythat anyone finding him shouldwould smitenot strike him.
4:16	And Cain wentleft outYahwehs from the presence of Jehovah, and dweltlived in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
4:17	And Cain knew his wife;. andShe she conceived, and baregave birth to Enoch:. andHe hebuilt builded a city, and callednamed the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
4:18	AndIrad unto Enoch was born Irad:to andEnoch. Irad begatbecame Mehujael;the andfather of Mehujael. begatMehujael Methushael;became andthe father of Methushael. begatMethushael became the father of Lamech.
4:19	And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the first one was Adah, and the name of the othersecond one was Zillah.
4:20	And Adah baregave birth to Jabal:, hewho was the father of suchthose aswho dwell in tents and have cattlelivestock.
4:21	AndHis his brothers name was Jubal:, hewho was the father of all suchwho as handle the harp and pipe.
4:22	And Zillah, she also baregave birth to Tubal cainCain, the forger of every cutting instrument of brassbronze and iron:. andTubal theCains sister of Tubal cain was Naamah.
4:23	And Lamech said untoto his wives:, Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;. YeYou wives of Lamech, hearkenlisten untoto my speech:, Forfor I have slain a man for wounding me, And a young man for bruising me:.
4:24	If Cain shallwill be avenged sevenfoldseven times, Trulytruly Lamech seventy andseven sevenfoldtimes.
4:25	And Adam knew his wife again;. andShe shegave barebirth to a son, and callednamed hishim name Seth:, Forsaying, saidfor she, God hathhas appointedgiven me another seedchild instead of Abel;, for Cain slewkilled him.
4:26	AndA toson Seth,was to him also there was born ato son;Seth, and he callednamed hishim name Enosh. ThenAt beganthat time men began to call uponon theYahwehs name of Jehovah.
5:1	This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, inhe themade likenesshim ofin GodGods made he him;likeness.
5:2	He created them male and female created he them, and blessed them,. andOn called their name Adam, in the day when they were created, he named them Adam.
5:3	And Adam lived aone hundred and thirty years, and begatbecame the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image;, and callednamed hishim name Seth:.
5:4	andThe the days of Adam after he begatbecame the father of Seth were eight hundred years:, and he begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters.
5:5	AndAll all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years:, andthen he died.
5:6	And Seth lived aone hundred and five years, andthen begatbecame the father of Enosh:.
5:7	and Seth lived after he begatbecame the father of Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters:.
5:8	andAll allof the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years:, andthen he died.
5:9	And Enosh lived ninety years, and begatbecame the father of Kenan.
5:10	and Enosh lived after he begatbecame the father of Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters:.
5:11	andAll allof the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years:, andthen he died.
5:12	And Kenan lived seventy years, andthen begatbecame the father of Mahalalel:.
5:13	and Kenan lived after he begatbecame the father of Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years, and begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters:
5:14	and all of the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years:, andthen he died.
5:15	And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, andthen begatbecame the father of Jared:.
5:16	and Mahalalel lived after he begatbecame the father of Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters:.
5:17	andAll allof the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety and five years:, andthen he died.
5:18	And Jared lived aone hundred sixty and two years, andthen begatbecame the father of Enoch:.
5:19	and Jared lived after he begatbecame the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters:.
5:20	andAll allof the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years:, andthen he died.
5:21	And Enoch lived sixty and five years, andthen begatbecame the father of Methuselah:.
5:22	andAfter Methuselahs birth, Enoch walked with God afterfor he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begatbecame the father of more sons and daughters:.
5:23	andAll all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:.
5:24	and Enoch walked with God:, and he was not; found, for God took him.
5:25	And Methuselah lived aone hundred eighty and seven years, andthen begatbecame the father of Lamech:.
5:26	and Methuselah lived after he begatbecame the father of Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters:.
5:27	andAll all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years:, andthen he died.
5:28	And Lamech lived aone hundred eighty and two years, andthen begatbecame the father of a son:.
5:29	andHe henamed calledhim his name Noah, saying, This sameone shallwill comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, whichcaused comethby because of the ground which JehovahYahweh hathhas cursed.
5:30	And Lamech lived after he begatbecame the father of Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begatbecame the father of other sons and daughters:.
5:31	AndAll all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years:, andthen he died.
5:32	And Noah was five hundred years old:, andthen Noah begatbecame the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
6:1	AndWhen it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the facesurface of the ground, and daughters were born untoto them,
6:2	thatGods the sons ofsaw Godthat sawmens the daughters of men that they were fair;beautiful, and they took themany wivesthat ofthey allwanted thatfor theythemselves choseas wives.
6:3	AndYahweh Jehovah said, My Spirit shallwill not strive with man for everforever, forbecause that he also is flesh:; yetso shall his days will be aone hundred and twenty years.
6:4	The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when theGods sons of God came in untoto themens daughters of men, and theyhad bare children towith them:. theThose same were the mighty men thatwho were of old, the men of renown.
6:5	AndYahweh Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of hismans heart was continually only evil continually.
6:6	AndYahweh itwas repentedsorry Jehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him atin his heart.
6:7	AndYahweh Jehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the facesurface of the ground; both —man, andalong beastwith animals, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; sky—for itI repentetham mesorry that I have made them.
6:8	But Noah found favor in theYahwehs eyes of Jehovah.
6:9	TheseThis areis the history of the generations of Noah.: Noah was a righteous man, andblameless perfectamong inthe people of his generations:time. Noah walked with God.
6:10	And Noah begatbecame the father of three sons,: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
6:11	AndThe the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
6:12	And God saw the earth, and, behold,saw that it was corrupt;, for all flesh had corrupted their way uponon the earth.
6:13	And God said untoto Noah, TheI will bring an end ofto all flesh, is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them;. andBehold, behold, I will destroy them withand the earth.
6:14	Make theea anship ark of gopher wood;. roomsYou shaltshall thou make rooms in the arkship, and shaltshall pitchseal it withininside and withoutoutside with pitch.
6:15	AndThis this is how thouyou shaltshall make it:. theThe length of the arkship shall be three hundred cubits, theits breadthwidth of it fifty cubits, and theits height of it thirty cubits.
6:16	AYou lightshall shaltmake thoua makeroof toin the arkship, and you shall finish it to a cubit shaltupward. thouYou finishshall itset upward; and the door of the arkship shaltin thouits setside. inYou theshall sidemake thereof;it with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make itlevels.
6:17	And I, behold,even I, dowill bring the flood of waters uponon thethis earth, to destroy all flesh, whereinhaving is the breath of life, from under heaven;the everythingsky. Everything that is in the earth shallwill die.
6:18	But I will establish my covenant with thee;you. andYou thoushall shalt come into the arkship, thouyou, andyour thy sons, andyour thy wife, and thyyour sons wives with theeyou.
6:19	AndOf of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort shalt thou bring into the arkship, to keep them alive with thee;you. theyThey shall be male and female.
6:20	Of the birds after their kind, and of the cattlelivestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shallwill come untoto theeyou, to keep them alive.
6:21	AndTake takewith thouyou untosome thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to theeyourself; and it shallwill be for food for theeyou, and for them.
6:22	Thus Noah did. Noah;He accordingdid to all that God commanded him, so did he.
7:1	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto Noah, Come thouwith and all thyof houseyour household into the ark;ship, for theeI have I seen righteousyour righteousness before me in this generation.
7:2	OfYou everyshall cleantake beastseven thoupairs shaltof takeevery toclean theeanimal sevenwith and sevenyou, the male and his female;. andOf of the beastsanimals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female:.
7:3	Also of the birds also of the heavenssky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive uponon the facesurface of all the earth.
7:4	ForIn yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain uponon the earth for forty days and forty nights;. andI will destroy every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the facesurface of the ground.
7:5	And Noah did accordingeverything unto all that JehovahYahweh commanded him.
7:6	And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters wascame uponon the earth.
7:7	And Noah went in,into andthe ship with his sons, and his wife, and his sons wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the floodfloodwaters.
7:8	OfClean clean beastsanimals, andunclean of beasts that are not cleananimals, and of birds, and of everything that creepethcreeps uponon the ground,
7:9	there went inby twopairs andto two unto Noah into the arkship, male and female, as God commanded Noah.
7:10	AndAfter it came to pass after the seven days, that the watersfloodwaters ofcame theon flood were upon the earth.
7:11	In the six hundredth year of Noahs life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on thethat same day were all the fountains of the great deep brokenburst upopen, and the skys windows of heaven were opened.
7:12	AndIt therained rainon was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
7:13	In the selfsamesame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, —the sons of Noah, —and Noahs wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark;ship—
7:14	they, and every beastanimal after its kind, and all the cattlelivestock after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepethcreeps uponon the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.
7:15	AndPairs theyfrom wentall inflesh untowith Noah into the ark,breath twoof andlife twoin ofthem allwent fleshinto wherein is the breathship ofto lifeNoah.
7:16	AndThose theywho that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him:; andthen JehovahYahweh shut him in.
7:17	AndThe the flood was forty days uponon the earth;. andThe the waters increased, and barelifted up the arkship, and it was lifted up above the earth.
7:18	AndThe the waters prevailedrose, and increased greatly uponon the earth; and the arkship wentfloated uponon the facesurface of the waters.
7:19	AndThe the waters prevailedrose exceedinglyvery uponhigh on the earth;. andAll all the high mountains that were under the whole heavensky were covered.
7:20	FifteenThe cubitswaters upwardrose didfifteen thecubits watershigher, prevail; and the mountains were covered.
7:21	AndAll all flesh died that moved uponon the earth, bothincluding birds, and cattlelivestock, and beastsanimals, and every creeping thing that creepethcreeps uponon the earth, and every man:.
7:22	allAll on the dry land, in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.
7:23	AndEvery every living thing was destroyed that was uponon the facesurface of the ground, bothincluding man, and cattlelivestock, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens;sky. andThey they were destroyed from the earth:. andOnly Noah only was left, and theythose thatwho were with him in the arkship.
7:24	AndThe the waters prevailedflooded upon the earth aone hundred and fifty days.
8:1	And God remembered Noah, and all the beastsanimals, and all the cattlelivestock that were with him in the ark:ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth,. andThe the waters assuaged;subsided.
8:2	theThe deeps fountains alsoand of the deepskys and the windows ofwere heavenalso were stopped, and the rain from heaventhe sky was restrained;.
8:3	andThe the waters returnedcontinually receded from off the earth. continually:After and after the end of aone hundred and fifty days the waters decreasedreceded.
8:4	AndThe theship ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, uponon theArarats mountains of Ararat.
8:5	AndThe the waters decreasedreceded continually until the tenth month:. inIn the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seenwere visible.
8:6	AndAt it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the arkship which he had made:,
8:7	and he sent forthout a raven,. andIt it went forthback to and froforth, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8:8	AndHe hehimself sent forthout a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the facesurface of the ground;,
8:9	but the dove found no restplace forto therest sole of her foot, and she returned untointo himthe ship to thehim, ark; for the waters were on the facesurface of the whole earth:. andHe he put forthout his hand, and took her, and brought her into unto him into the arkship.
8:10	AndHe hewaited stayed yet otheranother seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;ship.
8:11	andThe the dove came inback to him at eventide;evening and, lobehold, in her mouth anwas olivea leaffreshly plucked off:olive soleaf. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
8:12	AndHe hewaited stayed yet otheranother seven days, and sent forthout the dove; and she returneddidnt notreturn againto unto him any more.
8:13	AndIn it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth:. and Noah removed the covering of the arkship, and looked,. and,He behold,saw that the facesurface of the ground was drieddry.
8:14	AndIn in the second month, on the seventwenty andseventh twentieth day of the month, was the earth was dry.
8:15	And God spakespoke untoto Noah, saying,
8:16	Go forthout fromof the arkship, thouyou, andyour thy wife, andyour thy sons, and thyyour sons wives with theeyou.
8:17	Bring forthout with theeyou every living thing that is with theeyou of all flesh, bothincluding birds, and cattlelivestock, and every creeping thing that creepethcreeps uponon the earth;, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply uponon the earth.
8:18	And Noah went forthout, andwith his sons, and his wife, and his sons wives with him:.
8:19	everyEvery beastanimal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatsoeverwhatever movethmoves uponon the earth, after their families, went forth out of the arkship.
8:20	And Noah buildedbuilt an altar untoto JehovahYahweh, and took of every clean beastanimal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
8:21	AndYahweh Jehovah smelled the sweetpleasant savor;aroma. andYahweh Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for mans sake, forbecause that the imagination of mans heart is evil from his youth;. neitherI will Inever again smitestrike anyevery moreliving everything livingthing, as I have done.
8:22	While the earth remainethremains, seedtimeseed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shallwill not cease.
9:1	And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said untoto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
9:2	AndThe the fear of you and the dread of you shallwill be uponon every beastanimal of the earth, and uponon every bird of the heavens;sky. withEverything allthat wherewithmoves along the ground teemeth, and all the fishesfish of the sea, are delivered into your hand are they delivered.
9:3	Every moving thing that livethlives shallwill be food for you;. asAs I gave you the green herb, I have I given everything to you all.
9:4	But flesh with theits life thereof, whichthat is, theits blood thereof, you shall ye not eat.
9:5	AndI will surely yourrequire blood,accounting thefor blood of your lives,lifes willblood. IAt require; at the hand of every beastanimal I will I require it:. andAt at the hand of man, even at the hand of every mans brother, I will I require the life of man.
9:6	WhosoWhoever sheddethsheds mans blood, by man shall his blood will be shed: by man, for inGod themade imageman ofin Godhis madeown he manimage.
9:7	AndBe you, be ye fruitful, and multiply;. bringIncrease forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply thereinin it.
9:8	And God spakespoke untoto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9:9	AndAs Ifor me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seedoffspring after you;,
9:10	and with every living creature that is with you,: the birds, the cattlelivestock, and every beastanimal of the earth with you;, of all that go out of the arkship, even every beastanimal of the earth.
9:11	And I will establish my covenant with you;: neitherAll shallflesh allwill fleshnot be cut off any more by the waters of the flood;. neitherThere shallwill therenever anyagain more be a flood to destroy the earth.
9:12	And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
9:13	I do set my bowrainbow in the cloud, and it shallwill be for a tokensign of a covenant between me and the earth.
9:14	AndWhen it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bowrainbow shallwill be seen in the cloud,
9:15	and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh;, and the waters shallwill no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
9:16	AndThe therainbow bowwill shall be in the cloud;. and I will look uponat it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is uponon the earth.
9:17	And God said untoto Noah, This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is uponon the earth.
9:18	AndThe the sons of Noah, thatwho went forthout from the ark,ship were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth:. and Ham is the father of Canaan.
9:19	These three were the sons of Noah:, and offrom these was the whole earth overspreadwas populated.
9:20	And Noah began to be a husbandmanfarmer, and planted a vineyard:.
9:21	andHe he drank of the wine, and wasgot drunken;drunk. andHe he was uncovered within his tent.
9:22	And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethrenbrothers withoutoutside.
9:23	And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it uponon both their shoulders, and went backwardin backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father;. andTheir their faces were backwardbackwards, and they sawdidnt notsee their fathers nakedness.
9:24	And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done untoto him.
9:25	AndHe he said, CursedCanaan is cursed. He will be Canaan;a A servant of servants shallto he be unto his brethrenbrothers.
9:26	AndHe he said, Blessed be JehovahYahweh, the God of Shem;. AndLet let Canaan be his servant.
9:27	May God enlarge Japheth,. AndLet let him dwell in the tents of Shem;. AndLet let Canaan be his servant.
9:28	And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years after the flood.
9:29	AndAll all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years:, and then he died.
10:1	Now thesethis areis the history of the generations of the sons of Noah, namely,and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth:. andSons untowere themborn wereto sonsthem born after the flood.
10:2	The sons of Japheth were: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
10:3	AndThe the sons of Gomer were: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
10:4	AndThe the sons of Javan were: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
10:5	Of these were the islesislands of the nations divided in their lands, everyeveryone one after his tonguelanguage, after their families, in their nations.
10:6	AndThe the sons of Ham were: Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
10:7	AndThe the sons of Cush were: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca;. andThe the sons of Raamah were: Sheba, and Dedan.
10:8	And Cush begatbecame the father of Nimrod:. heHe began to be a mighty one in the earth.
10:9	He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah:Yahweh. whereforeTherefore it is said, Likelike Nimrod, a mighty hunter before JehovahYahweh.
10:10	AndThe the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
10:11	Out of that land he went forth into Assyria, and buildedbuilt Nineveh, and Rehoboth Ir, and Calah,
10:12	and Resen between Nineveh and Calah the same is the great city Calah.
10:13	And Mizraim begatbecame the father of Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
10:14	and Pathrusim, and Casluhim whencewhich wentthe forthPhilistines thedescended Philistinesfrom, and Caphtorim.
10:15	And Canaan begatbecame the father of Sidon his first bornfirstborn, and Heth,
10:16	and the JebusiteJebusites, and the AmoriteAmorites, and the GirgashiteGirgashites,
10:17	and the HiviteHivites, and the ArkiteArkites, and the SiniteSinites,
10:18	and the ArvaditeArvadites, and the ZemariteZemarites, and the Hamathite:Hamathites. andAfterward afterward were the families of the CanaaniteCanaanites were spread abroad.
10:19	AndThe the border of the CanaaniteCanaanites was from Sidon, —as thouyou goestgo toward Gerar,—to unto Gaza; —as thouyou goestgo toward Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboiim,—to unto Lasha.
10:20	These are the sons of Ham, after their families, afteraccording to their tongueslanguages, in their lands, inand their nations.
10:21	AndChildren untowere Shem,also theborn fatherto ofShem all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, tothe himfather alsoof wereall the children bornof Eber.
10:22	The sons of Shem were: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
10:23	AndThe the sons of Aram were: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
10:24	And Arpachshad begatbecame Shelah;the andfather of Shelah. begatShelah became the father of Eber.
10:25	AndTo unto Eber were born two sons:. theThe name of the one was Peleg;, for in his days was the earth was divided;. andHis his brothers name was Joktan.
10:26	And Joktan begatbecame the father of Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
10:27	and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
10:28	and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
10:29	and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab:. allAll these were the sons of Joktan.
10:30	AndTheir their dwelling wasextended from Mesha, as thouyou goestgo toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.
10:31	These are the sons of Shem, afterby their families, afteraccording to their tongueslanguages, in their lands, afterand their nations.
10:32	These are the families of the sons of Noah, afterby their generations, inaccording to their nations:. andThe ofnations thesedivided werefrom thethese nations divided in the earth after the flood.
11:1	AndThe the whole earth was of one language and of one speech.
11:2	AndAs it came to pass, as they journeyedtraveled east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar;, and they dweltlived there.
11:3	AndThey they said to one to another, Come, letlets us make brickbricks, and burn them thoroughly. AndThey they had brick for stone, and slimethey hadused theytar for mortar.
11:4	AndThey they said, Come, letlets us build usourselves a city, and a tower, whose top mayreaches reachto untothe heavensky, and letlets us make us a name; for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad uponon the facesurface of the whole earth.
11:5	AndYahweh Jehovah came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men buildedbuilt.
11:6	AndYahweh Jehovah said, Behold, they are one people, and they all have all one language;, and this is what they begin to do:. andNow now nothing will be withholdenwithheld from them, which they purposeintend to do.
11:7	Come, letlets us go down, and there confoundconfuse their language, that they may not understand one anothers speech.
11:8	So JehovahYahweh scattered them abroad from thencethere uponon the facesurface of all the earth:. andThey theystopped left off building the city.
11:9	Therefore wasits the name ofwas it called Babel;, because Jehovahthere didYahweh thereconfused confound the language of all the earth:. andFrom fromthere, thenceYahweh didscattered Jehovah scatter them abroad uponon the facesurface of all the earth.
11:10	TheseThis areis the history of the generations of Shem.: Shem was aone hundred years old, andwhen begathe became the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood:.
11:11	and Shem lived five hundred years after he begatbecame Arpachshadthe fivefather hundredof yearsArpachshad, and begatbecame the father of more sons and daughters.
11:12	And Arpachshad lived thirty five years and thirtybecame years,the andfather begatof Shelah:.
11:13	and Arpachshad lived four hundred three years after he begatbecame Shelahthe fourfather hundredof Shelah, and threebecame years,the andfather begatof more sons and daughters.
11:14	And Shelah lived thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Eber:.
11:15	and Shelah lived four hundred three years after he begatbecame Eberthe fourfather hundredof Eber, and threebecame years,the andfather begatof more sons and daughters.
11:16	And Eber lived thirty four and thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Peleg:.
11:17	and Eber lived four hundred thirty years after he begatbecame Pelegthe fourfather hundredof Peleg, and thirtybecame years,the andfather begatof more sons and daughters.
11:18	And Peleg lived thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Reu:.
11:19	and Peleg lived two hundred nine years after he begatbecame Reuthe twofather hundredof Reu, and ninebecame years,the andfather begatof more sons and daughters.
11:20	And Reu lived thirty two and thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Serug:.
11:21	and Reu lived two hundred seven years after he begatbecame Serugthe twofather hundredof Serug, and sevenbecame years,the andfather begatof more sons and daughters.
11:22	And Serug lived thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Nahor:.
11:23	and Serug lived two hundred years after he begatbecame Nahorthe twofather hundredof yearsNahor, and begatbecame the father of more sons and daughters.
11:24	And Nahor lived twenty nine and twenty years, and begatbecame the father of Terah:.

11:26	And Terah lived seventy years, and begatbecame the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
11:27	Now thesethis areis the history of the generations of Terah. Terah begatbecame the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran;. and Haran begatbecame the father of Lot.
11:28	And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativitybirth, in Ur of the Chaldees, while his father Terah was still alive.
11:29	And Abram and Nahor tookmarried them wives:. theThe name of Abrams wife was Sarai;, and the name of Nahors wife, was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, thewho fatherwas ofalso Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
11:30	And Sarai was barren;. sheShe had no child.
11:31	And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his sons son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abrams wife;. andThey they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan;. andThey they came untoto Haran, and dweltlived there.
11:32	AndThe the days of Terah were two hundred and five years:. and Terah died in Haran.
12:1	Now JehovahYahweh said untoto Abram, GetLeave theeyour out of thy country, and fromyour thy kindredrelatives, and fromyour thy fathers house, untoand go to the land that I will show thee:you.
12:2	and I will make of theeyou a great nation,. and I will bless thee,you and make thyyour name great;. andYou will be thou a blessing:.
12:3	and I will bless themthose thatwho bless theeyou, and himI thatwill cursethcurse theehim willwho Itreats curse:you andwith incontempt. theeAll shall all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.
12:4	So Abram went, as JehovahYahweh had spokentold unto him;. and Lot went with him:. and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed outfrom of Haran.
12:5	And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brothers son, and all their substancepossessions that they had gathered, and the soulspeople thatwhom they had gottenacquired in Haran;, and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan;. andThey entered into the land of Canaan they came.
12:6	And Abram passed through the land untoto the place of Shechem, untoto the oak of Moreh. AndAt thethat Canaanitetime, wasCanaanites thenwere in the land.
12:7	AndYahweh Jehovah appeared untoto Abram, and said, UntoI thy seed will I give this land: andto thereyour buildedoffspring. heHe built an altar untothere Jehovahto Yahweh, who had appeared untoto him.
12:8	AndHe heleft removed from thencethere untoto go to the mountain on the east of BethBethel el, and pitched his tent, having BethBethel el on the west, and Ai on the east:. andThere there he buildedbuilt an altar untoto Jehovah,Yahweh and called uponon theYahwehs name of Jehovah.
12:9	And Abram journeyedtraveled, still going on still toward the South.
12:10	AndThere there was a famine in the land:. and Abram went down into Egypt to sojournlive as a foreigner there;, for the famine was soresevere in the land.
12:11	AndWhen it came to pass, when he washad come near to enter into Egypt, that he said untoto Sarai his wife, BeholdSee now, I know that thouyou artare a fairbeautiful woman to look upon:at.
12:12	andIt it will comehappen tothat pass, when the Egyptians shall see theeyou, that they will say, This is his wife:. andThey they will kill me, but they will save theeyou alive.
12:13	Say,Please Isay praythat thee,you thouare art my sister;, that it may be well with me for thyyour sake, and that my soul may live because of theeyou.
12:14	AndWhen it came to pass, that, when Abram washad come into Egypt, thesome Egyptians beheldsaw that the woman that she was very fairbeautiful.
12:15	AndThe the princes of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh:; and the woman was taken into Pharaohs house.
12:16	AndHe he dealt well with Abram for her sake:. andHe he had sheep, and oxencattle, andmale he assesdonkeys, andmale men servants, andfemale maid servants, andfemale she assesdonkeys, and camels.
12:17	AndYahweh Jehovahafflicted plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abrams wife.
12:18	And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thouyou hasthave done untoto me? whyWhy didstdidnt thouyou not tell me that she was thyyour wife?
12:19	whyWhy saidstdid thouyou say, She is my sister, so that I took her to be my wife? nowNow therefore, beholdsee thyyour wife, take her, and go thyyour way.
12:20	And Pharaoh gavecommanded men charge concerning him:, and they broughtescorted him onaway thewith way, and his wife, and all that he had.
13:1	And Abram went up out of Egypt, —he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, —into the South.
13:2	And Abram was very rich in cattlelivestock, in silver, and in gold.
13:3	AndHe he went on his journeys from the South evenas tofar Bethas elBethel, untoto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between BethBethel el and Ai,
13:4	untoto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first:. andThere there Abram called on theYahwehs name of Jehovah.
13:5	And Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
13:6	AndThe the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwelllive together:; for their substancepossessions waswere so great, so that they couldcouldnt notlive dwell together.
13:7	AndThere there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abrams cattlelivestock and the herdsmen of Lots cattle:livestock. andThe theCanaanites Canaanite and the PerizzitePerizzites dweltlived then in the land at that time.
13:8	And Abram said untoto Lot, LetPlease, let there be no strife, I pray thee, between meyou and theeme, and between myyour herdsmen and thymy herdsmen; for we are brethrenrelatives.
13:9	IsIsnt not the whole land before theeyou? Please separate thyself,yourself I pray thee, from me:. ifIf thouyou wiltgo taketo the left hand, then I will go to the right;. orOr if thouyou takego to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
13:10	And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheldsaw all the Plainplain of the Jordan, that it was well watered every whereeverywhere, before JehovahYahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of JehovahYahweh, like the land of Egypt, as thouyou goestgo untoto Zoar.
13:11	So Lot chose him all the Plain of the Jordan; andfor himself. Lot journeyedtraveled east:, and they separated themselves thefrom one from the otheranother.
13:12	Abram dweltlived in the land of Canaan, and Lot dweltlived in the cities of the Plainplain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.
13:13	Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against Jehovah exceedinglyYahweh.
13:14	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, LiftNow, lift up nowyour thine eyes, and look from the place where thouyou artare, northward and southward and eastward and westward:,
13:15	for I will give all the land which thouyou seest,see to theeyou will I give it, and to thyyour seedoffspring for everforever.
13:16	And I will make thyyour seedoffspring as the dust of the earth:, so that if a man can numbercount the dust of the earth, then mayyour thyoffspring seedmay also be numberedcounted.
13:17	Arise, walk through the land in theits length of it and in theits breadth of itwidth; for untoI thee will I give it to you.
13:18	And Abram moved his tent, and came and dweltlived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there an altar untothere Jehovahto Yahweh.
14:1	AndIn it came to pass in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar,; Arioch, king of Ellasar,; Chedorlaomer, king of Elam,; and Tidal, king of Goiim,
14:2	that they made war with Bera, king of Sodom,; and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah,; Shinab, king of Admah,; and Shemeber, king of Zeboiim,; and the king of Bela thealso samecalled is Zoar.
14:3	All these joined together in the valevalley of Siddim thealso samecalled is the Salt Sea.
14:4	TwelveThey yearsserved theyChedorlaomer servedfor Chedorlaomertwelve years, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
14:5	AndIn in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings thatwho were with him, came and smotestruck the Rephaim in Ashteroth karnaimKarnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh kiriathaimKiriathaim,
14:6	and the Horites in their mountMount Seir, untoto El paranParan, which is by the wilderness.
14:7	AndThey they returned, and came to En mishpatMishpat thealso samecalled is Kadesh, and smotestruck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dweltlived in Hazazon tamarTamar.
14:8	AndThe there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela thealso samecalled isZoar Zoarwent out; and they set the battle in array against them in the valevalley of Siddim;
14:9	against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
14:10	Now the valevalley of Siddim was full of slimetar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and theysome fell there,. andThose theywho that remained fled to the mountainhills.
14:11	AndThey they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victualsfood, and went their way.
14:12	AndThey they took Lot, Abrams brothers son, who dweltlived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
14:13	AndOne therewho came one that had escaped, came and told Abram, the Hebrew:. nowAt that time, he dweltlived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner;. andThey these were confederateallies withof Abram.
14:14	AndWhen when Abram heard that his brotherrelative was taken captive, he led forthout his three hundred eighteen trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.
14:15	AndHe he divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and smotestruck them, and pursued them untoto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
14:16	AndHe he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brotherrelative Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the other people.
14:17	AndThe the king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings thatwho were with him, at the valevalley of Shaveh thethat same is, the Kings ValeValley.
14:18	And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forthout bread and wine:. andHe he was priest of God Most High.
14:19	AndHe he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth:.
14:20	andBlessed blessed be God Most High, who hathhas delivered thineyour enemies into thyyour hand. AndAbram he gave him a tenth of all.
14:21	AndThe the king of Sodom said untoto Abram, Give me the personspeople, and take the goods tofor thyselfyourself.
14:22	And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand untoto JehovahYahweh, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
14:23	that I will not take a thread nor a shoesandal latchetstrap nor aughtanything that is thineyours, lest thouyou shouldestshould say, I have made Abram rich:.
14:24	saveI onlywill accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men thatwho went with me,: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre;. letLet them take their portion.
15:1	After these things theYahwehs word of Jehovah came untoto Abram in a vision, saying, FearDont notbe afraid, Abram:. I am thyyour shield, andyour thyexceedingly exceeding great reward.
15:2	And Abram said, O Lord JehovahYahweh, what wiltwill thouyou give me, seeingsince I go childless, and he thatwho shallwill beinherit possessor of my houseestate is Eliezer of Damascus?
15:3	And Abram said, Behold, toyou mehave thou hast given no seedchildren to me: and, lobehold, one born in my house is minemy heir.
15:4	AndBehold, behold,Yahwehs the word of Jehovah came untoto him, saying, This man shallwill not be thineyour heir;, but he thatwho shallwill come forth out of thineyour own bowelsbody shallwill be thineyour heir.
15:5	AndYahweh he brought him forth abroadoutside, and said, Look now toward heaventhe sky, and numbercount the stars, if thouyou beare able to numbercount them:. andHe he said untoto himAbram, So shallyour thyoffspring seedwill be.
15:6	AndHe he believed in Jehovah;Yahweh, andwho hecredited reckoned it to him for righteousness.
15:7	AndHe he said untoto himAbram, I am JehovahYahweh thatwho brought theeyou out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give theeyou this land to inherit it.
15:8	AndHe he said, O Lord JehovahYahweh, wherebyhow shallwill I know that I shallwill inherit it?
15:9	AndHe he said untoto him, TakeBring me a heifer three years old, and a shefemale goat three years old, and a ram three years old, and a turtle doveturtledove, and a young pigeon.
15:10	AndHe hebrought took him all these, and divided them in the midstmiddle, and laid each half overopposite against the other:; but thehe birdsdidnt divideddivide hethe notbirds.
15:11	AndThe the birds of prey came down uponon the carcasses, and Abram drove them away.
15:12	AndWhen when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell uponon Abram;. and,Now lo,terror aand horror of great darkness fell uponon him.
15:13	AndHe he said untoto Abram, Know offor asure surety that thyyour seedoffspring shallwill belive sojournersas foreigners in a land that is not theirs, and shallwill serve them;. andThey theywill shall afflict them four hundred years;.
15:14	andI will also judge that nation, whom they shallwill serve,. willAfterward Ithey judge:will and afterward shall they come out with great substance.wealth;
15:15	Butbut thouyou shaltwill go to thyyour fathers in peace;. thouYou shaltwill be buried inat a good old age.
15:16	AndIn in the fourth generation they shallwill come hitherhere again:, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.
15:17	AndIt it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold, a smoking furnace, and a flaming torch that passed between these pieces.
15:18	In that day JehovahYahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying, UntoI thy seed have I given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt untoto the great river, the river Euphrates:
15:19	the Kenite,land andof the KenizziteKenites, andthe Kenizzites, the KadmoniteKadmonites,
15:20	and the HittiteHittites, and the PerizzitePerizzites, and the Rephaim,
15:21	and the AmoriteAmorites, and the CanaaniteCanaanites, and the GirgashiteGirgashites, and the JebusiteJebusites.
16:1	Now Sarai, Abrams wife, barebore him no children:. andShe she had a handmaidservant, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
16:2	And Sarai said untoto Abram, BeholdSee now, JehovahYahweh hathhas restrained me from bearing;. Please go in, Ito pray thee, unto my handmaid;servant. itIt may be that I shallwill obtain children by her. And Abram hearkenedlistened to the voice of Sarai.
16:3	And Sarai, Abrams wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her handmaidservant, after Abram had dweltlived ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to Abram her husband to be his wife.
16:4	AndHe he went in untoto Hagar, and she conceived:. andWhen when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
16:5	And Sarai said untoto Abram, MyThis wrong beis uponyour thee:fault. I gave my handmaidservant into thyyour bosom;, and when she saw that she had conceived, Ishe was despised inme. herMay eyes:Yahweh Jehovah judge between me and theeyou.
16:6	But Abram said untoto Sarai, Behold, thyyour maid is in thyyour hand;. doDo to her thatwhatever which is good in thineyour eyes. And Sarai dealt hardlyharshly with her, and she fled from her face.
16:7	AndYahwehs the angel of Jehovah found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain inon the way to Shur.
16:8	AndHe he said, Hagar, Sarais handmaidservant, whencewhere camestdid thouyou come from? andWhere whitherare goestyou thougoing? AndShe she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.
16:9	AndYahwehs the angel of Jehovah said untoto her, Return to thyyour mistress, and submit thyselfyourself under her hands.
16:10	AndYahwehs the angel of Jehovah said untoto her, I will greatly multiply thyyour seedoffspring, that itthey shallwill not be numberedcounted for multitude.
16:11	AndYahwehs the angel of Jehovah said untoto her, Behold, thouyou artare with child, and shaltwill bear a son;. andYou thoushall shalt call his name Ishmael, because JehovahYahweh hathhas heard thyyour affliction.
16:12	AndHe hewill shall be aslike a wild assdonkey among men;. hisHis hand shallwill be against every man, and every mans hand against him;. andHe hewill shalllive dwellopposed overto against all of his brethrenbrothers.
16:13	AndShe she called the name of JehovahYahweh thatwho spakespoke untoto her, ThouYou artare a God thatwho seeth:sees, for she said, Have I even herestayed lookedalive after seeing him that seeth me?
16:14	WhereforeTherefore the well was called Beer lahaiLahai roi;Roi. beholdBehold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
16:15	And Hagar barebore Abram a son: andfor Abram. Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar barebore, Ishmael.
16:16	And Abram was fourscoreeighty and six years old, when Hagar barebore Ishmael to Abram.
17:1	AndWhen when Abram was ninety nine years old and nine, JehovahYahweh appeared to Abram, and said untoto him, I am God Almighty;. walkWalk before me, and be thou perfectblameless.
17:2	And I will make my covenant between me and theeyou, and will multiply theeyou exceedingly.
17:3	And Abram fell on his face:. and God talked with him, saying,
17:4	As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee,you. andYou thouwill shalt be the father of a multitude of nations.
17:5	NeitherYour shallname thywill nameno any more be called Abram, but thyyour name shallwill be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations have I made thee.
17:6	And I will make theeyou exceedingexceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of thee,you. andKings kingswill shall come out of theeyou.
17:7	And I will establish my covenant between me and theeyou and thyyour seedoffspring after theeyou throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God untoto theeyou and to thyyour seedoffspring after theeyou.
17:8	And I will give untoto theeyou, and to thyyour seedoffspring after theeyou, the land ofwhere thyyou sojourningsare traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession;. and I will be their God.
17:9	And God said untoto Abraham, AndAs as for theeyou, thouyou shaltshall keep my covenant, thou,you and thyyour seedoffspring after theeyou throughout their generations.
17:10	This is my covenant, which yeyou shall keep, between me and you and thyyour seedoffspring after thee:you. everyEvery male among you shall be circumcised.
17:11	AndYou ye shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin;. andIt itwill shall be a token of athe covenant betwixtbetween me and you.
17:12	AndHe hewho that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he thatwho is born in the house, or bought with money offrom any foreigner thatwho is not of thyyour seedoffspring.
17:13	He thatwho is born in thyyour house, and he thatwho is bought with thyyour money, must needs be circumcised:. andMy my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
17:14	AndThe the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people;. heHe hathhas broken my covenant.
17:15	And God said untoto Abraham, As for Sarai thyyour wife, thouyou shaltshall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name shall be Sarah.
17:16	And I will bless her, and moreover I will give theeyou a son ofby her:. yeaYes, I will bless her, and she shallwill be a mother of nations;. kingsKings of peoples shallwill become offrom her.
17:17	Then Abraham fell uponon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, ShallWill a child be born untoto him thatwho is aone hundred years old? andWill shall Sarah, thatwho is ninety years old, beargive birth?
17:18	And Abraham said untoto God, Oh that Ishmael might live before theeyou!
17:19	And God said, NayNo, but Sarah, thyyour wife, shallwill bear theeyou a son;. andYou thoushall shalt call his name Isaac:. and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seedoffspring after him.
17:20	AndAs as for Ishmael, I have heard thee:you. beholdBehold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly;. twelveHe princeswill shallbecome hethe begetfather of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
17:21	But myI covenant will I establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shallwill bear untoto theeyou at this set time in the next year.
17:22	AndWhen he leftfinished off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
17:23	And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all thatwho were born in his house, and all thatwho were bought with his money,: every male among the men of Abrahams house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsamesame day, as God had said untoto him.
17:24	And Abraham was ninety nine years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
17:25	And Ishmael, his son, was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
17:26	In the selfsamesame day wasboth Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael, his son, were circumcised.
17:27	AndAll all the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money offrom a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
18:1	AndYahweh Jehovah appeared untoto him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;.
18:2	andHe he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, lo,saw that three men stood overnear against him:. andWhen when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth,
18:3	and said, My Lord, if now I have found favor in thyyour sight, passplease notdont go away, I pray thee, from thyyour servant:.
18:4	Now let now a little water be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:.
18:5	and I will fetchget a morselpiece of bread, andso strengthenyou yecan refresh your heart;. afterAfter that yeyou shallmay passgo on:your forasmuchway, asnow yethat areyou have come to your servant. AndThey they said, SoVery dowell, do as thouyou hasthave said.
18:6	And Abraham hastenedhurried into the tent untoto Sarah, and said, MakeQuickly readyprepare quickly three measuresseahs of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes.
18:7	And Abraham ran untoto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good calf, and gave it untoto the servant;. andHe hehurried hasted to dress it.
18:8	AndHe he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them;. andHe he stood by them under the tree, and they did eatate.
18:9	AndThey theyasked said unto him, Where is Sarah, thyyour wife? AndHe he said, BeholdThere, in the tent.
18:10	AndHe he said, I will certainly return untoto theeyou whenat theabout seasonthis comethtime roundnext year; and, lobehold, Sarah thyyour wife shallwill have a son. And Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.
18:11	Now Abraham and Sarah were old, and well strickenadvanced in age;. itSarah had ceasedpassed to be with Sarah after the mannerage of womenchildbearing.
18:12	And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I amhave waxedgrown old shallwill I have pleasure, my Lord being old also?
18:13	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto Abraham, WhereforeWhy did Sarah laugh, saying, ShallWill I ofreally a surety bear a child, whowhen I am old?
18:14	Is anything too hard for JehovahYahweh? At the set time I will return untoto theeyou, when the season comethcomes roundaround, and Sarah shallwill have a son.
18:15	Then Sarah denied it, saying, I laugheddidnt not;laugh, for she was afraid. AndHe he said, Nay;No, but thouyou didstdid laugh.
18:16	AndThe the men rose up from thencethere, and looked toward Sodom:. and Abraham went with them to bringsee them on thetheir way.
18:17	AndYahweh Jehovah said, ShallWill I hide from Abraham thatwhat which I do;,
18:18	seeingsince that Abraham shallwill surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shallwill be blessed in him?
18:19	For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of JehovahYahweh, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that JehovahYahweh may bring uponon Abraham that which he hathhas spoken of him.
18:20	AndYahweh Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;,
18:21	I will go down now, and see whether theytheir havedeeds doneare altogetheras accordingbad toas the cryreports of it, which ishave come untoto me;. andIf if not, I will know.
18:22	AndThe the men turned from thencethere, and went toward Sodom:, but Abraham stood yet before JehovahYahweh.
18:23	And Abraham drewcame near, and said, WiltWill thouyou consume the righteous with the wicked?
18:24	PeradventureWhat if there are fifty righteous within the city:? wiltWill thouyou consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous thatwho are thereinin it?
18:25	ThatMay it be far from theeyou to do afterthings thislike mannerthat, to slaykill the righteous with the wicked, so that so the righteous should be aslike the wicked;. May that be far from thee:you. shallShouldnt not the Judge of all the earth do right?
18:26	AndYahweh Jehovah said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the whole place for their sake.
18:27	And Abraham answered and said, BeholdSee now, I have taken uponit meon myself to speak untoto the Lord, whoalthough I am but dust and ashes:.
18:28	peradventureWhat if there shallwill lack five of the fifty righteous:? wiltWill thouyou destroy all the city for lack of five? AndHe he said, I will not destroy it, if I find there forty andfive fivethere.
18:29	AndHe hespoke spaketo unto him yet again, and said, PeradventureWhat if there shallare be forty found there.? AndHe he said, I will not do it for the fortys sake.
18:30	AndHe he said, Oh dont let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak:. peradventureWhat if there shallare thirty be found there.? AndHe he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
18:31	AndHe he said, BeholdSee now, I have taken uponit meon myself to speak untoto the Lord:. peradventureWhat if there shallare be twenty found there.? AndHe he said, I will not destroy it for the twentys sake.
18:32	AndHe he said, Oh dont let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yetjust butonce thismore. once:What peradventureif ten shallare be found there.? AndHe he said, I will not destroy it for the tens sake.
18:33	AndYahweh Jehovah went his way, as soon as he had leftfinished off communing with Abraham:, and Abraham returned untoto his place.
19:1	AndThe the two angels came to Sodom at even;evening. and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom:. and Lot saw them, and rose up to meet them;. andHe he bowed himself with his face to the earth;,
19:2	and he said, BeholdSee now, my Lords, turnplease aside,come I pray you, into your servants house, andstay tarry all night, and wash your feet, and yeyou shallcan rise up early, and go on your way. AndThey they said, Nay;No, but we will abidestay in the street all night.
19:3	AndHe he urged them greatly;, and they turnedcame in untowith him, and entered into his house;. andHe he made them a feast, and didbaked bake unleavened bread, and they did eatate.
19:4	But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassedsurrounded the house round, both young and old, all the people from every quarter;.
19:5	andThey they called untoto Lot, and said untoto him, Where are the men thatwho came in to theeyou this night? bringBring them out untoto us, that we may knowhave sex with them.
19:6	And Lot went out untoto them tothrough the door, and shut the door after himhimself.
19:7	AndHe he said, I pray youPlease, my brethrenbrothers, dodont notact so wickedly.
19:8	BeholdSee now, I have two virgin daughters. thatPlease have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out untoto you, and you may do ye to them aswhat isseems good into youryou. eyes:Only onlydont untodo anything to these men do nothing, forasmuchbecause as they arehave come under the shadow of my roof.
19:9	AndThey they said, Stand back.! AndThen they said, This one fellow came in to sojournlive as a foreigner, and he willappoints needshimself be a judge:. nowNow we will we deal worse with thee,you than with them.! AndThey they pressed sorehard uponon the man, even Lot, and drewcame near to break the door.
19:10	But the men putreached forthout their hand, and brought Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
19:11	AndThey theystruck smote the men thatwho were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
19:12	AndThe the men said untoto Lot, HastDo thouyou herehave anyanybody besideselse here? sonSons in law, andyour thy sons, andyour thy daughters, and whomsoeverwhomever thouyou hasthave in the city, bring them out of the place:
19:13	for we will destroy this place, because the cryoutcry ofagainst them ishas waxedgrown so great before Jehovah;Yahweh andthat JehovahYahweh hathhas sent us to destroy it.
19:14	And Lot went out, and spakespoke untoto his sons in law, who marriedwere pledged to marry his daughters, and said, Up,Get getup! youGet out of this place;, for JehovahYahweh will destroy the city.! But he seemed untoto his sons in law asto onebe that mockedjoking.
19:15	AndWhen when the morning arosecame, then the angels hastenedhurried Lot, saying, Arise,Get takeup! thyTake your wife, and thyyour two daughters thatwho are here, lest thouyou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
19:16	But he lingered; and the men laidgrabbed hold upon his hand, andhis uponwifes the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters hands, JehovahYahweh being merciful untoto him:; and they broughttook him forthout, and set him withoutoutside of the city.
19:17	AndIt it came to pass, when they had broughttaken them forth abroadout, that he said, Escape for thyyour life;! Dont look not behind theeyou, neitherand dont stay thouanywhere in all the Plain;plain. escapeEscape to the mountainmountains, lest thouyou be consumed.!
19:18	And Lot said untoto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:.
19:19	beholdSee now, thyyour servant hathhas found favor in thyyour sight, and thouyou hasthave magnified thyyour lovingkindnessloving kindness, which thouyou hasthave showedshown untoto me in saving my life;. and I cannotcant escape to the mountain, lest evil overtake me, and I die:.
19:20	beholdSee now, this city is near to flee untoto, and it is a little one. Oh let me escape thitherthere isisnt it not a little one?, and my soul shallwill live.
19:21	AndHe he said untoto him, SeeBehold, I have acceptedgranted theeyour request concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow the city of which thouyou hasthave spoken.
19:22	Haste theeHurry, escape thither;there, for I cannotcant do anything tilluntil thouyou beget come thitherthere. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
19:23	The sun washad risen uponon the earth when Lot came untoto Zoar.
19:24	Then JehovahYahweh rained uponon Sodom and uponon Gomorrah brimstonesulfur and fire from JehovahYahweh out of heaven;the sky.
19:25	andHe he overthrew those cities, and all the Plainplain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew uponon the ground.
19:26	But hisLots wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
19:27	And Abraham gatwent up early in the morning to the place where he had stood before Jehovah:Yahweh.
19:28	andHe he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the Plainplain, and beheld,saw and,that lo, the smoke of the land went up as the smoke of a furnace.
19:29	AndWhen it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the Plainplain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midstmiddle of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dweltlived.
19:30	And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dweltlived in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he fearedwas afraid to dwelllive in Zoar:. andHe helived dwelt in a cave, hewith and his two daughters.
19:31	AndThe thefirstborn first born said untoto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in untoto us afterin the mannerway of all the earth:.
19:32	comeCome, letlets us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seedour offathers ourfamily fatherline.
19:33	AndThey they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstfirstborn born went in, and lay with her father;. andHe hedidnt knewknow not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
19:34	AndIt it came to pass on the morrownext day, that the firstfirstborn born said untoto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternightlast night with my father:. letLets us make him drink wine thisagain nighttonight. also;You and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seedour offathers ourfamily fatherline.
19:35	AndThey they made their father drink wine that night also:. andThe the younger arose,went and lay with him;. andHe hedidnt knewknow not when she lay down, nor when she arosegot up.
19:36	Thus were both theof Lots daughters ofwere Lot with child by their father.
19:37	AndThe thefirstborn firstbore born bare a son, and callednamed hishim name Moab:. theHe same is the father of the Moabites untoto this day.
19:38	AndThe the younger, she also barebore a son, and called his name Ben ammi:Ammi. theHe same is the father of the children of Ammon untoto this day.
20:1	And Abraham journeyedtraveled from thencethere toward the land of the South, and dweltlived between Kadesh and Shur;. andHe helived sojournedas a foreigner in Gerar.
20:2	And Abraham said ofabout Sarah his wife, She is my sister:. and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
20:3	But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, Behold, thouyou artare but a dead man, because of the woman whom thouyou hasthave taken; for she is a mans wife.
20:4	Now Abimelech had not come near her:. andHe he said, Lord, wiltwill thouyou slaykill even a righteous nation?
20:5	SaidDidnt he nottell himself unto me, She is my sister? and sheShe, even she herself, said, He is my brother:. I have done this in the integrity of my heart and the innocencyinnocence of my hands have I done this.
20:6	And God said untoto him in the dream, YeaYes, I know that in the integrity of thyyour heart thouyou hashave done this, and I also withheld theeyou from sinning against me:. thereforeTherefore suffered I theedidnt notallow you to touch her.
20:7	Now therefore, restore the mans wife;. forFor he is a prophet, and he shallwill pray for theeyou, and thouyou shaltwill live:. andIf ifyou thoudont restore her not, know thoufor sure that thouyou shaltwill surely die, thouyou, and all thatwho are thineyours.
20:8	And Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears:ear. andThe the men were sorevery afraidscared.
20:9	Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said untoto him, What hasthave thouyou done untoto us? andHow wherein have I sinned against theeyou, that thouyou hasthave brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thouYou hasthave done deeds untoto me that ought not to be done.!
20:10	And Abimelech said untoto Abraham, What sawestdid thouyou see, that thouyou hasthave done this thing?
20:11	And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place;. andThey they will slaykill me for my wifes sake.
20:12	AndBesides, moreover she is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife:.
20:13	andWhen it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my fathers house, that I said untoto her, This is thyyour kindness which thouyou shaltshall show untoto me:. atEverywhere everythat place whither we shall comego, say of me, He is my brother.
20:14	And Abimelech took sheep and oxencattle, andmale men servants and womenfemale servants, and gave them untoto Abraham, and restored him Sarah, his wife, to him.
20:15	And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee:you. dwellDwell where it pleasethpleases theeyou.
20:16	AndTo unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thyyour brother a thousand pieces of silver:. beholdBehold, it is for theeyou a covering of the eyes to all that are with thee;you. andIn infront respect of all thouyou artare rightedvindicated.
20:17	And Abraham prayed untoto God:. andSo God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidfemale servants;, and they barebore children.
20:18	For JehovahYahweh had fast closed up tight all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abrahams wife.
21:1	AndYahweh Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said, and JehovahYahweh did untoto Sarah as he had spoken.
21:2	And Sarah conceived, and barebore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
21:3	And Abraham called the name of his son thatwho was born untoto him, whom Sarah barebore to him, Isaac.
21:4	And Abraham circumcised his son, Isaac, when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.
21:5	And Abraham was aone hundred years old, when his son, Isaac, was born untoto him.
21:6	And Sarah said, God hathhas made me to laugh;. everyEveryone onewho thathears heareth will laugh with me.
21:7	AndShe she said, Who would have said untoto Abraham, that Sarah shouldwould givenurse children suck? forFor I have borne him a son in his old age.
21:8	AndThe the child grew, and was weaned:. and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
21:9	And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne untoto Abraham, mocking.
21:10	WhereforeTherefore she said untoto Abraham, Cast out this handmaidservant and her son:! forFor the son of this handmaidservant shallwill not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
21:11	AndThe the thing was very grievous in Abrahams sight on account of his son.
21:12	And God said untoto Abraham, LetDont let it not be grievous in thyyour sight because of the ladboy, and because of thyyour handmaid;servant. inIn all that Sarah saithsays untoto theeyou, hearkenlisten untoto her voice;. forFor inyour Isaacoffspring shallwill thybe seednamed bethrough calledIsaac.
21:13	AndI will also make a nation of the son of the handmaid will I make a nationservant, because he is thyyour seedchild.
21:14	And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread and a bottlecontainer of water, and gave it untoto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder,; and gave her the child, and sent her away:. andShe she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer shebaBeersheba.
21:15	AndThe the water in the bottlecontainer was spent, and she castput the child under one of the shrubs.
21:16	AndShe she went, and sat her down overopposite against him, a good way off, asabout ita werebow ashot bowshot:away. forFor she said, LetDont let me notsee look upon the death of the child. AndShe she sat overopposite against him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.
21:17	And God heard the voice of the lad;boy. andThe the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaventhe sky, and said untoto her, What ailethtroubles theeyou, Hagar? fearDont not;be forafraid. For God hathhas heard the voice of the ladboy where he is.
21:18	AriseGet up, lift up the ladboy, and hold him inwith thyyour hand;. forFor I will make him a great nation.
21:19	And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water;. andShe she went, and filled the bottlecontainer with water, and gave the ladboy a drink.
21:20	And God was with the ladboy, and he grew;. andHe helived dwelt in the wilderness, and became, as he grew up, he became an archer.
21:21	AndHe helived dwelt in the wilderness of Paran:. andHis his mother tookgot him a wife for him out of the land of Egypt.
21:22	AndAt it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his hostarmy spakespoke untoto Abraham, saying, God is with theeyou in all that thouyou doest:do.
21:23	nowNow, therefore, swear untoto me here by God that thouyou wiltwill not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my sons son:. butBut according to the kindness that I have done untoto theeyou, thouyou shaltshall do untoto me, and to the land whereinin thouwhich hastyou sojournedhave lived as a foreigner.
21:24	And Abraham said, I will swear.
21:25	And Abraham reprovedcomplained to Abimelech because of thea water well of water, which Abimelechs servants had violently taken away.
21:26	And Abimelech said, I dont know not who hathhas done this thing:. neitherYou didstdidnt thou tell me, neitherand yetI hearddidnt Ihear of it, butuntil to daytoday.
21:27	And Abraham took sheep and oxencattle, and gave them untoto Abimelech;. andThose they two made a covenant.
21:28	And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
21:29	And Abimelech said untoto Abraham, What meando these seven ewe lambs, which thouyou hasthave set by themselves, mean?
21:30	AndHe he said, TheseYou shall take these seven ewe lambs shaltfrom thou take of my hand, that it may be a witness untoto me, that I have diggeddug this well.
21:31	WhereforeTherefore he called that place BeerBeersheba, sheba; because there they sware both ofswore theman oath there.
21:32	So they made a covenant at BeerBeersheba. sheba: and Abimelech rose up, andwith Phicol, the captain of his hostarmy, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.
21:33	And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer shebaBeersheba, and there he called there on the name of JehovahYahweh, the Everlasting God.
21:34	And Abraham sojournedlived as a foreigner in the land of the Philistines many days.
22:1	AndAfter it came to pass after these things, that God didtested prove Abraham, and said untoto him, Abraham;! andHe he said, Here I am I.
22:2	AndHe he said, TakeNow nowtake thyyour son, thineyour only son, Isaac, whom thouyou lovestlove, even Isaac, and getgo thee into the land of Moriah;. andOffer offer him there foras a burnt offering uponon one of the mountains which I will tell theeyou of.
22:3	And Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his ass,donkey; and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son;. andHe hesplit clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went untoto the place of which God had told him.
22:4	On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afarfar off.
22:5	And Abraham said untoto his young men, AbideStay ye here with the ass,donkey. andThe Iboy and theI lad will go yonder;over andthere. weWe will worship, and come againback to you.
22:6	And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it uponon Isaac his son;. andHe he took in his hand the fire and the knife;. andThey theyboth went both of them together.
22:7	And Isaac spakespoke untoto Abraham his father, and said, My father:? andHe he said, Here I am I, my son. AndHe he said, Behold,Here is the fire and the wood:, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
22:8	And Abraham said, God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son:. soSo they went both ofwent them together.
22:9	AndThey they came to the place which God had told him of;. and Abraham built the altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, uponon the wood.
22:10	And Abraham stretched forthout his hand, and took the knife to slaykill his son.
22:11	AndYahwehs the angel of Jehovah called untoto him out of heaventhe sky, and said, Abraham, Abraham:! andHe he said, Here I am I.
22:12	AndHe he said, LayDont notlay thyyour hand uponon the lad,boy neitheror do thou anything untoto him;. forFor now I know that thouyou fearestfear God, seeingsince thouyou hasthave not withheld thyyour son, thineyour only son, from me.
22:13	And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold,saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns:. and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering ininstead the stead of his son.
22:14	And Abraham called the name of that place JehovahYahweh jireh:Will asProvide. As it is said to this day, InOn theYahwehs mountmountain, of Jehovah it shallwill be provided.
22:15	AndYahwehs the angel of Jehovah called untoto Abraham a second time out of heaventhe sky,
22:16	and said, ByI myself have Isworn swornby myself, saithsays JehovahYahweh, because thouyou hasthave done this thing, and hasthave not withheld thyyour son, thineyour only son,
22:17	that in blessing I will bless theeyou greatly, and in multiplying I will multiply thyyour seedoffspring asgreatly like the stars of the heavens, and aslike the sand which is uponon the seaseashore. shore;Your andoffspring thywill seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;.
22:18	andAll in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth will be blessed; by your offspring, because thouyou hasthave obeyed my voice.
22:19	So Abraham returned untoto his young men, and they rose up and went together to BeerBeersheba. sheba; and Abraham dweltlived at Beer shebaBeersheba.
22:20	AndAfter it came to pass after these things, thatAbraham it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she also hathhas borne children untoto thyyour brother Nahor:
22:21	Uz his first bornfirstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
22:22	and Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
22:23	And Bethuel begatbecame the father of Rebekah:. theseThese eight did Milcah bearbore to Nahor, Abrahams brother.
22:24	AndHis his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she also barebore Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maacah.
23:1	And the life of Sarah waslived aone hundred andtwenty seven and twenty years:. theseThis werewas the yearslength of theSarahs life of Sarah.
23:2	And Sarah died in Kiriath arbaArba thealso samecalled is Hebron, in the land of Canaan:. and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
23:3	And Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spakespoke untoto the children of Heth, saying,
23:4	I am a stranger and a sojournerforeigner living with you:. giveGive me a possession of a burying place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.
23:5	AndThe the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying untoto him,
23:6	Hear us, my Lord;. thouYou artare a prince of God among us:. Bury your dead in the choicebest of our sepulchrestombs. buryNone thy dead; none of us shallwill withhold from theeyou his sepulchre,tomb. butBury thatyour thou mayest bury thy dead.
23:7	And Abraham rose up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.
23:8	AndHe hetalked communed with them, saying, If ityou beagree your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and entreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,
23:9	that he may givesell me the cave of Machpelah, which he hathhas, which is in the end of his field;. forFor the full price let him givesell it to me inamong the midst of you foras a possession offor a buryingburial place.
23:10	Now Ephron was sitting in the midstmiddle of the children of Heth:. and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audiencehearing of the children of Heth, even of all thatwho went in at the gate of his city, saying,
23:11	NayNo, my Lord, hear me:. I give you the field, giveand I thee,give andyou the cave that is therein,in I give it. thee;In in the presence of the children of my people I give I it thee:to buryyou. thyBury your dead.
23:12	And Abraham bowed himself down before the people of the land.
23:13	AndHe hespoke spaketo unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thouyou wiltwill, Iplease pray thee, hear me:. I will give the price of the field;. takeTake it offrom me, and I will bury my dead there.
23:14	And Ephron answered Abraham, saying untoto him,
23:15	My Lord, hearkenlisten untoto me:. What is a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, whatbetween is that betwixt me and theeyou? Therefore bury thereforeyour thy dead.
23:16	And Abraham hearkenedlistened untoto Ephron;. and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audiencehearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currentaccording moneyto with the merchantcurrent merchants standard.
23:17	So the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was thereinin it, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all theof borderits thereof round aboutborders, were made suredeeded
23:18	untoto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all thatwho went in at the gate of his city.
23:19	AndAfter after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre thethat same is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan.
23:20	AndThe the field, and the cave that is thereinin it, were madedeeded sureto unto Abraham forby athe possessionchildren of aHeth buryingas placea bypossession thefor childrena ofburial Hethplace.
24:1	And Abraham was old, and well strickenadvanced in age:. andYahweh Jehovah had blessed Abraham in all things.
24:2	And Abraham said untoto his servant, the elder of his house, thatwho ruled over all that he had, Put,Please Iput prayyour thee, thy hand under my thigh:.
24:3	and I will make theeyou swear by JehovahYahweh, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that thouyou wiltshall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:live.
24:4	butBut thouyou shaltshall go untoto my country, and to my kindredrelatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac.
24:5	AndThe the servant said untoto him, PeradventureWhat if the woman willisnt not be willing to follow me untoto this land:? mustMust I needs bring thyyour son again untoto the land fromyou whencecame thou camestfrom?
24:6	And Abraham said untoto him, Beware thou that thouyou dont bring not my son thitherthere again.
24:7	JehovahYahweh, the God of heaven, —who took me from my fathers house, and from the land of my nativitybirth, and who spakespoke untoto me, and who swareswore untoto me, saying, UntoI thy seed will I give this land; to your offspring—he will send his angel before theeyou, and thouyou shaltshall take a wife for my son from thencethere.
24:8	AndIf if the woman beisnt not willing to follow theeyou, then thouyou shaltshall be clear from this my oath; onlyto thoume. shaltOnly you shall not bring my son thitherthere again.
24:9	AndThe the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swareswore to him concerning this matter.
24:10	AndThe the servant took ten camels, of thehis masters camels of his master, and departed, having alla goodlyvariety of good things of his masters inwith hishim. hand:He and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, untoto the city of Nahor.
24:11	AndHe he made the camels to kneel down withoutoutside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.
24:12	AndHe he said, O JehovahYahweh, the God of my master Abraham, sendplease give me, Isuccess pray theetoday, good speed this day, and show kindness untoto my master Abraham.
24:13	Behold, I am standing by the fountainspring of water;. andThe the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water:.
24:14	andLet let it come to passhappen, that the damselyoung lady to whom I shallwill say, LetPlease let down thyyour pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink;, andthen she shall saysays, Drink, and I will also give thyyour camels a drink also: ,—let theher same be shethe thatone thouyou hasthave appointed for thyyour servant Isaac;. andBy therebythis shall I will know that thouyou hasthave showedshown kindness untoto my master.
24:15	AndBefore it came to pass, before he had donefinished speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abrahams brother, with her pitcher uponon her shoulder.
24:16	AndThe theyoung damsellady was very fairbeautiful to look uponat, a virgin,. neitherNo man had any man known her:. andShe she went down to the fountainspring, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
24:17	AndThe the servant ran to meet her, and said, GivePlease give me toa drink, I pray thee, a little water from thyyour pitcher.
24:18	AndShe she said, Drink, my Lord:. andShe she hastedhurried, and let down her pitcher uponon her hand, and gave him a drink.
24:19	AndWhen when she had donefinished giving him a drink, she said, I will also draw for thyyour camels also, until they have donefinished drinking.
24:20	AndShe she hastedhurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again untoto the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.
24:21	AndThe the man looked stedfastlysteadfastly onat her, holdingremaining his peacesilent, to know whether JehovahYahweh had made his journey prosperous or not.
24:22	AndAs it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,
24:23	and said, Whose daughter artare thouyou? Please tell me, I pray thee. Is there room in thyyour fathers house for us to lodge instay?
24:24	AndShe she said untoto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she barebore untoto Nahor.
24:25	She said moreover untoto him, We have both straw and provenderfeed enough, and room to lodge in.
24:26	AndThe the man bowed his head, and worshippedworshiped JehovahYahweh.
24:27	AndHe he said, Blessed be JehovahYahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who hathhas not forsaken his lovingkindnessloving kindness and his truth toward my master:. asAs for me, JehovahYahweh hathhas led me inon the way to the house of my masters brethrenrelatives.
24:28	AndThe theyoung damsellady ran, and told her mothers house accordingabout to these words.
24:29	And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban:. and Laban ran out untoto the man, untoto the fountainspring.
24:30	AndWhen it came to pass, when he saw the ring, and the bracelets uponon his sisters hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, ThusThis spakeis what the man untosaid to me;, that he came untoto the man;. andBehold, behold, he was standing by the camels at the fountainspring.
24:31	AndHe he said, Come in, thouyou blessed of Jehovah;Yahweh. whereforeWhy standestdo thouyou withoutstand outside? forFor I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.
24:32	AndThe the man came into the house, and he ungirdedunloaded the camels;. andHe he gave straw and provenderfeed for the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men thatwho were with him.
24:33	AndFood there was set food before him to eat:, but he said, I will not eat, until I have told minemy errandmessage. AndLaban he said, Speak on.
24:34	AndHe he said, I am Abrahams servant.
24:35	AndYahweh Jehovahhas hath blessed my master greatly;. andHe hehas is become great:. andYahweh hehas hath given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, andmale men servants and maidfemale servants, and camels and assesdonkeys.
24:36	And Sarah, my masters wife, barebore a son to my master when she was old:. andHe untohas him hath he given all that he hathhas to him.
24:37	AndMy my master made me swear, saying, ThouYou shaltshall not take a wife for my son offrom the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:live,
24:38	but thouyou shaltshall go untoto my fathers house, and to my kindredrelatives, and take a wife for my son.
24:39	And I saidasked unto my master, PeradventureWhat if the woman will not follow me.?
24:40	AndHe he said untoto me, JehovahYahweh, before whom I walk, will send his angel with theeyou, and prosper thyyour way;. andYou thoushall shalt take a wife for my son offrom my kindredrelatives, and of my fathers house:.
24:41	thenThen shaltyou thouwill be clear from my oath, when thouyou comestcome to my kindred;relatives. andIf if they dont give her not to theeyou, thouyou shaltshall be clear from my oath.
24:42	And I came thistoday dayto unto the fountainspring, and said, O JehovahYahweh, the God of my master Abraham, if now thouyou do prosper my way which I go:—
24:43	behold, I am standing by thethis fountainspring of water;. andLet let it come to passhappen, that the maiden thatwho comethcomes forthout to draw, to whom I shallwill say, GivePlease give me, I pray thee, a little water from thyyour pitcher to drink;,
24:44	andthen she shalltells say to me, Both drink thouDrink, and I will also draw for thyyour camels: ,—let theher same be the woman whom JehovahYahweh hathhas appointed for my masters son.
24:45	AndBefore before I had donefinished speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came forthout with her pitcher on her shoulder;. andShe she went down untoto the fountainspring, and drew:. and I said untoto her, LetPlease let me drink, I pray thee.
24:46	AndShe shehurried made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will also give thyyour camels a drink. also:So so I drank, and she madealso gave the camels a drink also.
24:47	And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter artare thouyou? AndShe she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahors son, whom Milcah barebore untoto him:. and I put the ring uponon her nose, and the bracelets uponon her hands.
24:48	And I bowed my head, and worshippedworshiped JehovahYahweh, and blessed JehovahYahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take my masters brothers daughter for his son.
24:49	AndNow now if yeyou will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me:. andIf if not, tell me;, that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.
24:50	Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedethproceeds from Jehovah:Yahweh. weWe cannotcant speak untoto theeyou bad or good.
24:51	Behold, Rebekah is before thee,you. takeTake her, and go, and let her be thyyour masters sons wife, as JehovahYahweh hathhas spoken.
24:52	AndWhen it came to pass, that, when Abrahams servant heard their words, he bowed himself down to the earth untoto JehovahYahweh.
24:53	AndThe the servant brought forthout jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raimentclothing, and gave them to Rebekah:. heHe also gave alsoprecious things to her brother and to her mother precious things.
24:54	AndThey theyate did eat and drinkdrank, he and the men thatwho were with him, and tarriedstayed all night;. andThey they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away untoto my master.
24:55	AndHer her brother and her mother said, Let the damselyoung abidelady stay with us a few days, at the least ten;. afterAfter that she shallwill go.
24:56	AndHe he said untoto them, HinderDont hinder me not, seeingsince JehovahYahweh hathhas prospered my way;. sendSend me away that I may go to my master.
24:57	AndThey they said, We will call the damselyoung lady, and inquireask at her mouth.
24:58	AndThey they called Rebekah, and said untoto her, WiltWill thouyou go with this man? AndShe she said, I will go.
24:59	AndThey they sent away Rebekah, their sister, andwith her nurse, and Abrahams servant, and his men.
24:60	AndThey they blessed Rebekah, and said untoto her, Our sister, may you be thou the mother of thousands of ten thousands, and let thyyour seedoffspring possess the gate of those thatwho hate them.
24:61	And Rebekah arose, andwith her damsels,ladies. andThey they rode uponon the camels, and followed the man:. andThe the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
24:62	And Isaac came from the way of Beer lahaiLahai roi;Roi, for he dweltlived in the land of the South.
24:63	And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide:evening. andHe he lifted up his eyes, and saw,looked. andBehold, behold, there were camels coming.
24:64	And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she alightedgot fromoff the camel.
24:65	AndShe she said untoto the servant, WhatWho is the man who is thiswalking that walketh in the field to meet us? AndThe the servant said, It is my master:. andShe she took her veil, and covered herself.
24:66	AndThe the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done.
24:67	And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarahs tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife;. andHe he loved her:. andSo Isaac was comforted after his mothers death.
25:1	And Abraham took another wife, and her name was Keturah.
25:2	AndShe shebore bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

25:5	And Abraham gave all that he had untoto Isaac.,

25:21	And Isaac entreated JehovahYahweh for his wife, because she was barren:. andYahweh Jehovah was entreated ofby him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
25:22	AndThe the children struggled together within her;. andShe she said, If it beis solike this, whereforewhy do I live? AndShe she went to inquire of JehovahYahweh.
25:23	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto her, Two nations are in thyyour womb,. AndTwo two peoples shallwill be separated from thyyour bowels:body. AndThe the one people shallwill be stronger than the other people;. AndThe the elder shallwill serve the younger.
25:24	AndWhen when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25:25	AndThe the first came forthout red, all over, like a hairy garment;. andThey theynamed calledhim his name Esau.
25:26	AndAfter after that, camehis forthbrother hiscame brotherout, and his hand had hold on Esaus heel;. andHe his name was callednamed Jacob:. and Isaac was threescoresixty years old when she barebore them.
25:27	AndThe the boys grew:. and Esau was a skilfulskillful hunter, a man of the field;. and Jacob was a quiet man, dwellingliving in tents.
25:28	Now Isaac loved Esau, because he didate eat of his venison:. and Rebekah loved Jacob.
25:29	And Jacob boiled pottage:stew. and Esau came in from the field, and he was faint:famished.
25:30	and Esau said to Jacob, FeedPlease feed me, Iwith praysome thee,of with that same red pottage;stew, for I am faint:famished. thereforeTherefore was his name was called Edom.
25:31	And Jacob said, SellFirst, sell me firstyour thy birthright.
25:32	And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die:. andWhat whatgood profitis shall the birthright do to me?

26:1	AndThere there was a famine in the land, besidesin addition to the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went untoto Abimelech king of the Philistines, untoto Gerar.
26:2	AndYahweh Jehovah appeared untoto him, and said, GoDont notgo down into Egypt;. dwellLive in the land which I shallwill tell theeyou of:about.
26:3	sojournLive in this land, and I will be with theeyou, and will bless thee;you. forFor untoI theewill give to you, and untoto thyyour seedoffspring, I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swareswore untoto Abraham thyyour father;.
26:4	and I will multiply thyyour seedoffspring as the stars of heaventhe sky, and will give unto thy seed all these lands; andto inyour thyoffspring. seedIn shallyour offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed;,
26:5	because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my chargerequirements, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
26:6	And Isaac dweltlived in Gerar:.
26:7	andThe the men of the place asked him ofabout his wife;. andHe he said, She is my sister:, for he fearedwas afraid to say, My wife;, lest, saidhe hethought, the men of the place shouldmight kill me for Rebekah;, because she wasis fairbeautiful to look uponat.
26:8	AndWhen it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sportingcaressing with Rebekah, his wife.
26:9	And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, ofsurely a surety she is thyyour wife:. andWhy howdid saidstyou thousay, She is my sister? And Isaac said untoto him, Because I said, Lest I die because of her.
26:10	And Abimelech said, What is this thouyou hasthave done untoto us? oneOne of the people might easily have lain with thyyour wife, and thouyou wouldestwould have brought guiltinessguilt uponon us.!
26:11	And Abimelech chargedcommanded all the people, saying, He thatwho touchethtouches this man or his wife shallwill surely be put to death.
26:12	And Isaac sowed in that land, and foundreaped in the same year aone hundredfold:hundred andtimes Jehovahwhat he planted. Yahweh blessed him.
26:13	AndThe the man waxedgrew great, and grew more and more until he became very great:.
26:14	andHe he had possessions of flocks, and possessions of herds, and a great household:. andThe the Philistines envied him.
26:15	Now all the wells which his fathers servants had diggeddug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped, and filled with earth.
26:16	And Abimelech said untoto Isaac, Go away from us;, for thouyou artare much mightier than we.
26:17	And Isaac departed thencefrom there, and encamped in the valley of Gerar, and dweltlived there.
26:18	And Isaac diggeddug again the wells of water, which they had diggeddug in the days of Abraham his father;, for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham:. andHe he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.
26:19	And Isaacs servants diggeddug in the valley, and found there a well of springingflowing water.
26:20	AndThe the herdsmen of Gerar stroveargued with Isaacs herdsmen, saying, The water is ours:. andSo he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.
26:21	AndThey theydug digged another well, and they stroveargued forover that, also:. andSo he called theits name of it Sitnah.
26:22	AndHe heleft removedthat from thenceplace, and diggeddug another well;. andThey fordidnt thatargue theyover strovethat not:one. andSo he called the name of it Rehoboth;. andHe he said, For now JehovahYahweh hathhas made room for us, and we shallwill be fruitful in the land.
26:23	AndHe he went up from thencethere to Beer shebaBeersheba.
26:24	AndYahweh Jehovah appeared untoto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thyyour father:. fearDont notbe afraid, for I am with theeyou, and will bless theeyou, and multiply thyyour seedoffspring for my servant Abrahams sake.
26:25	AndHe hebuilt builded an altar there, and called uponon theYahwehs name of Jehovah, and pitched his tent there:. andThere there Isaacs servants diggeddug a well.
26:26	Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, andwith Ahuzzath his friend, and Phicol the captain of his hostarmy.
26:27	And Isaac said untoto them, WhereforeWhy arehave yeyou come untoto me, seeingsince yeyou hate me, and have sent me away from you?
26:28	AndThey they said, We saw plainly that JehovahYahweh was with thee:you. andWe we said, Let there now be an oath betwixtbetween us, even betwixtbetween us and theeyou, and letlets us make a covenant with theeyou,
26:29	that thouyou wiltwill do us no hurtharm, as we have not touched theeyou, and as we have done untoto theeyou nothing but good, and have sent theeyou away in peace:. thouYou artare now the blessed of JehovahYahweh.
26:30	AndHe he made them a feast, and they didate eat and drinkdrank.
26:31	AndThey they rose up betimessome time in the morning, and swareswore onean oath to one another:. and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.
26:32	AndThe it came to pass the same day, that Isaacs servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had diggeddug, and said untoto him, We have found water.
26:33	AndHe he called it Shibah:. thereforeTherefore the name of the city is BeerBeersheba shebato unto this day.
26:34	AndWhen when Esau was forty years old, he took toas wife Judith, the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath, the daughter of Elon the Hittite:.
26:35	andThey theygrieved wereIsaacs a grief of mind unto Isaac and toRebekahs Rebekahspirits.
27:1	AndWhen it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his elder son, and said untoto him, My son:? andHe he said untoto him, Here I am I.
27:2	AndHe he said, BeholdSee now, I am old,. I dont know not the day of my death.
27:3	Now therefore take, Iplease praytake thee,your thy weapons, thyyour quiver and thyyour bow, and go out to the field, and takeget me venison;.
27:4	andMake make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat;, and that my soul may bless theeyou before I die.
27:5	And Rebekah heard when Isaac spakespoke to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.
27:6	And Rebekah spakespoke untoto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thyyour father speak untoto Esau thyyour brother, saying,
27:7	Bring me venison, and make me savory food, that I may eat, and bless theeyou before JehovahYahweh before my death.
27:8	Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command theeyou.
27:9	Go now to the flock, and fetchget me from thence two good kidsyoung ofgoats thefrom goats;there. and I will make them savory food for thyyour father, such as he loveth:loves.
27:10	andYou thoushall shalt bring it to thyyour father, that he may eat, so that he may bless theeyou before his death.
27:11	And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man.
27:12	MyWhat fatherif peradventuremy willfather feeltouches me,? and I shallwill seem to him as a deceiver;, and I shallwould bring a curse uponon memyself, and not a blessing.
27:13	AndHis his mother said untoto him, UponLet meyour curse be thyon curseme, my son;. onlyOnly obey my voice, and go fetchget them for me them.
27:14	AndHe he went, and fetchedgot them, and brought them to his mother:. andHis his mother made savory food, such as his father loved.
27:15	And Rebekah took the goodlygood garmentsclothes of Esau, her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them uponon Jacob, her younger son;.
27:16	andShe she put the skins of the kidsyoung of the goats uponon his hands, and uponon the smooth of his neck:.
27:17	andShe she gave the savory food and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.
27:18	AndHe he came untoto his father, and said, My father:? andHe he said, Here I am. I;Who whoare art thouyou, my son?
27:19	And Jacob said untoto his father, I am Esau thyyour firstfirstborn. born; I have done accordingwhat asyou thouasked badest me: arise,to Ido. prayPlease theearise, sit and eat of my venison, that thyyour soul may bless me.
27:20	And Isaac said untoto his son, How is it that thouyou hasthave found it so quickly, my son? AndHe he said, Because JehovahYahweh thyyour God sentgave me good speedsuccess.
27:21	And Isaac said untoto Jacob, ComePlease come near, I pray thee, that I may feel theeyou, my son, whether thouyou beare really my very son Esau or not.
27:22	And Jacob went near untoto Isaac his father;. andHe he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacobs voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
27:23	AndHe hedidnt discernedrecognize him not, because his hands were hairy, aslike his brother Esaus hands:. soSo he blessed him.
27:24	AndHe he said, ArtAre thouyou really my very son Esau? AndHe he said, I am.
27:25	AndHe he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my sons venison, that my soul may bless theeyou. AndHe he brought it near to him, and he didate. eat:He and he brought him wine, and he drank.
27:26	AndHis his father Isaac said untoto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
27:27	AndHe he came near, and kissed him:. andHe he smelled the smell of his raimentclothing, and blessed him, and said, SeeBehold, the smell of my son Isis as the smell of a field which JehovahYahweh hathhas blessed:.
27:28	And God give theeyou of the dew of heaventhe sky, And of the fatness of the earth, Andand plenty of grain and new wine:.
27:29	Let peoples serve theeyou, Andand nations bow down to thee:you. Be Lord over thyyour brethren,brothers. AndLet letyour thy mothers sons bow down to thee:you. Cursed be everyeveryone onewho thatcurses cursethyou. thee,Blessed And blessed be everyeveryone onewho thatblesses blesseth theeyou.
27:30	AndAs it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had madefinished an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob washad yetjust scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
27:31	AndHe he also made savory food, and brought it untoto his father;. andHe he said untoto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his sons venison, that thyyour soul may bless me.
27:32	And Isaac his father said untoto him, Who artare thouyou? AndHe he said, I am thyyour son, thyyour first bornfirstborn, Esau.
27:33	And Isaac trembled very exceedinglyviolently, and said, Who, then, is he thatwho hathhas taken venison, and brought it to me, and I have eaten of all before thouyou camestcame, and have blessed him? yeaYes, and he shallwill be blessed.
27:34	When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingexceedingly great and bitter cry, and said untoto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.
27:35	AndHe he said, ThyYour brother came with guiledeceit, and hathhas taken away thyyour blessing.
27:36	AndHe he said, IsIsnt not he rightly named Jacob? forFor he hathhas supplanted me these two times:. heHe took away my birthright;. andSee, behold, now he hathhas taken away my blessing. AndHe he said, HastHavent thouyou not reserved a blessing for me?
27:37	And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thyyour Lord, and all his brethrenbrothers I have I given to him for servants;. andI have sustained him with grain and new wine. haveWhat I sustained him: and what then shallwill I do for theeyou, my son?
27:38	And Esau said untoto his father, HastDo thouyou buthave just one blessing, my father? blessBless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
27:39	And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, your dwelling will be of the fatness of the earth shall be thy dwelling, Andand of the dew of heaventhe sky from above;.
27:40	AndYou will live by thyyour sword shalt thou live, and thouyou shaltwill serve thyyour brother;. AndIt itwill shall come to passhappen, when thouyou shaltwill break loose, Thatthat thouyou shaltwill shake his yoke from off thyyour neck.
27:41	And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewithwith which his father blessed him:. and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand;. thenThen I will Ikill slay my brother Jacob.
27:42	AndThe the words of Esau, her elder son, were told to Rebekah;. andShe she sent and called Jacob, her younger son, and said untoto him, Behold, thyyour brother Esau, ascomforts touchinghimself thee,about dothyou comfortby himself,planning purposing to kill theeyou.
27:43	Now therefore, my son, obey my voice;. and ariseArise, flee thou to Laban, my brother, toin Haran;.
27:44	andStay tarry with him a few days, until thyyour brothers fury turnturns away;—
27:45	until thyyour brothers anger turnturns away from theeyou, and he forgetforgets thatwhat whichyou thouhave hast done to him:. thenThen I will send, and fetchget theeyou from thence:there. whyWhy should I be bereaved of you both in one day?
27:46	And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth:. ifIf Jacob taketakes a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these, of the daughters of the land, what good shallwill my life do me?
28:1	And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and chargedcommanded him, andYou saidshall unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
28:2	Arise, go to Paddan aramAram, to the house of Bethuel thyyour mothers father;. andTake take thee a wife from thencethere offrom the daughters of Laban, thyyour mothers brother.
28:3	AndMay God Almighty bless theeyou, and make theeyou fruitful, and multiply theeyou, that thouyou mayestmay be a company of peoples;,
28:4	and give theeyou the blessing of Abraham, to thee,you and to thyyour seedoffspring with thee;you, that thouyou mayestmay inherit the land ofwhere thyyou sojourningstravel, which God gave untoto Abraham.
28:5	And Isaac sent away Jacob: andaway. heHe went to Paddan aramAram untoto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacobs and Esaus mother.
28:6	Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan aramAram, to take him a wife from thence;there, and that as he blessed him he gave him a chargecommand, saying, ThouYou shaltshall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
28:7	and that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Paddan aram:Aram.
28:8	and Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan pleaseddidnt notplease Isaac, his father;.
28:9	andSo Esau went untoto Ishmael, and took, besidesin addition to the wives that he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abrahams son, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife.
28:10	And Jacob went out from Beer shebaBeersheba, and went toward Haran.
28:11	AndHe hecame lightedto upon a certain place, and tarriedstayed there all night, because the sun washad set;. andHe he took one of the stones of the place, and put it under his head, and lay down in that place to sleep.
28:12	AndHe he dreamed; and, behold,saw a ladderstairway set upupon on the earth, and theits top of it reached to heaven;. andBehold, behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
28:13	AndBehold, behold,Yahweh Jehovah stood above it, and said, I am JehovahYahweh, the God of Abraham thyyour father, and the God of Isaac:. I will give the land whereonyou thoulie liest,on to theeyou will I give it, and to thyyour seed;offspring.
28:14	andYour thyoffspring seedwill shall be as the dust of the earth, and thouyou shaltwill spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south:. andIn inyou thee and in thyyour seedoffspring, shall all the families of the earth will be blessed.
28:15	AndBehold, behold, I am with theeyou, and will keep theeyou, whithersoeverwherever thouyou goestgo, and will bring theeyou again into this land;. forFor I will not leave thee,you until I have done that which I have spoken of to thee ofyou.
28:16	And Jacob awakedawakened out of his sleep, and he said, Surely JehovahYahweh is in this place;, and I knewdidnt know it not.
28:17	AndHe he was afraid, and said, How dreadfulawesome is this place is! thisThis is none other than theGods house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
28:18	And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil uponon theits top of it.
28:19	AndHe he called the name of that place BethBethel, el: but the name of the city was Luz at the first.
28:20	And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raimentclothing to put on,
28:21	so that I come again to my fathers house in peace, and JehovahYahweh will be my God,
28:22	then this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shallwill be Gods house:. andOf of all that thouyou shaltwill give me I will surely give thea tenth untoto theeyou.
29:2	AndHe he looked, and, behold,saw a well in the field, and, lo,saw three flocks of sheep lying there by it;. forFor out of that well they watered the flocks:. andThe the stone uponon the wells mouth was greatlarge.
29:3	AndThere thither were all the flocks were gathered:. andThey they rolled the stone from the wells mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone againback uponon the wells mouth in its place.
29:4	And Jacob said untoto them, My brethrenrelatives, whencewhere are yeyou from? AndThey they said, OfWe Haran are wefrom Haran.
29:5	AndHe he said untoto them, KnowDo yeyou know Laban, the son of Nahor? AndThey they said, We know him.
29:6	AndHe he said untoto them, Is it well with him? AndThey they said, It is well:. andSee, beholdRachel, Rachel his daughter, comethis coming with the sheep.
29:7	AndHe he said, LoBehold, it is yetstill highthe middle of the day, neithernot istime itto timegather that the cattlelivestock should be gathered together:. waterWater ye the sheep, and go and feed them.
29:8	AndThey they said, We cannotcant, until all the flocks beare gathered together, and they roll the stone from the wells mouth;. thenThen we will water the sheep.
29:9	While he was yet speaking with them, Rachel came with her fathers sheep;, for she kept them.
29:10	AndWhen it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban, his mothers brother, and the sheep of Laban, his mothers brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the wells mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mothers brother.
29:11	And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
29:12	And Jacob told Rachel that he was her fathers brotherrelative, and that he was Rebekahs son:. andShe she ran and told her father.
29:13	AndWhen it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidingsnews of Jacob, his sisters son, that he ran to meet himJacob, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. AndJacob he told Laban all these things.
29:14	And Laban said to him, Surely thouyou artare my bone and my flesh. AndJacob hestayed abode with him thefor space of a month.
29:15	And Laban said untoto Jacob, Because thouyou artare my brotherrelative, shouldestshould thouyou therefore serve me for noughtnothing? tellTell me, what shallwill thyyour wages be?
29:16	And Laban had two daughters:. theThe name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
29:17	And Leahs eyes were tender;weak, but Rachel was beautiful in form and well favoredattractive.
29:18	And Jacob loved Rachel;. andHe he said, I will serve theeyou seven years for Rachel, thyyour younger daughter.
29:19	And Laban said, It is better that I give her to theeyou, than that I should give her to another man:. abideStay with me.
29:20	And Jacob served seven years for Rachel;. andThey they seemed untoto him but a few days, for the love he had tofor her.
29:21	And Jacob said untoto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in untoto her.
29:22	And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
29:23	AndIn it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him;Jacob. andHe he went in untoto her.
29:24	And Laban gave Zilpah his handmaidservant untoto his daughter Leah for a handmaidservant.
29:25	AndIn it came to pass in the morning that, behold, it was Leah:! andHe he said to Laban, What is this thouyou hasthave done untoto me? didDidnt not I serve with theeyou for Rachel? whereforeWhy then hasthave thouyou beguileddeceived me?
29:26	And Laban said, It is not done so done in our place, to give the younger before the first bornfirstborn.
29:27	FulfilFulfill the week of this one, and we will give theeyou the other also for the service which thouyou shaltwill serve with me yetfor seven othermore years.
29:28	And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week:. andHe he gave him Rachel his daughter toas wife.
29:29	And Laban gave toBilhah, Rachel his daughterservant, Bilhahto his handmaiddaughter Rachel to be her handmaidservant.
29:30	AndHe he went in also untoto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven othermore years.
29:31	AndYahweh Jehovah saw that Leah was hated, and he opened her womb:, but Rachel was barren.
29:32	And Leah conceived, and barebore a son, and she callednamed hishim name Reuben:. forFor she said, Because JehovahYahweh hathhas looked uponat my affliction; for now my husband will love me.
29:33	AndShe she conceived again, and barebore a son:, and said, Because JehovahYahweh hathhas heard that I am hated, he hathhas therefore given me this son also:. andShe shenamed calledhim his name Simeon.
29:34	AndShe she conceived again, and barebore a son;. andShe said, Now this time will my husband will be joined untoto me, because I have borne him three sons:. thereforeTherefore was his name was called Levi.
29:35	AndShe she conceived again, and barebore a son:. andShe she said, This time I will I praise Jehovah:Yahweh. thereforeTherefore she callednamed hishim name Judah;. andThen she leftstopped off bearing.
30:1	AndWhen when Rachel saw that she barebore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister;. andShe she said untoto Jacob, Give me children, or else I will die.
30:2	And Jacobs anger wasburned kindled against Rachel:, and he said, Am I in Gods steadplace, who hathhas withheld from theeyou the fruit of the womb?
30:3	AndShe she said, Behold, my maid Bilhah,. goGo in untoto her;, that she may bear uponon my knees, and I also may obtain children by her.
30:4	AndShe she gave him Bilhah her handmaidservant toas wife:, and Jacob went in untoto her.
30:5	And Bilhah conceived, and barebore Jacob a son.
30:6	And Rachel said, God hathhas judged me, and hathhas also heard my voice, and hathhas given me a son:. thereforeTherefore she called she his name Dan.
30:7	And Bilhah, Rachels handmaidservant, conceived again, and barebore Jacob a second son.
30:8	And Rachel said, WithI mighty wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister with mighty wrestlings, and have prevailed:. andShe shenamed calledhim his name Naphtali.
30:9	When Leah saw that she had leftfinished off bearing, she took Zilpah, her handmaidservant, and gave her to Jacob toas a wife.
30:10	And Zilpah, Leahs handmaidservant, barebore Jacob a son.
30:11	And Leah said, FortunateHow fortunate! andShe shenamed calledhim his name Gad.
30:12	And Zilpah, Leahs handmaidservant, barebore Jacob a second son.
30:13	And Leah said, Happy am I!, for the daughters will call me happy:. andShe shenamed calledhim his name Asher.
30:14	And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them untoto his mother, Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, GivePlease give me, Isome pray thee, of thyyour sons mandrakes.
30:15	AndLeah she said untoto her, Is it a small matter that thouyou hasthave taken away my husband? andWould wouldestyou thou take away my sons mandrakes, also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shallwill lie with theeyou totonight night for thyyour sons mandrakes.
30:16	And Jacob came from the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, ThouYou must come in untoto me; for I have surely hired theeyou with my sons mandrakes. AndHe he lay with her that night.
30:17	And God hearkenedlistened untoto Leah, and she conceived, and barebore Jacob a fifth son.
30:18	And Leah said, God hathhas given me my hire, because I gave my handmaidservant to my husband:. andShe shenamed calledhim his name Issachar.
30:19	And Leah conceived again, and barebore a sixth son to Jacob.
30:20	And Leah said, God hathhas endowed me with a good dowry;. nowNow will my husband dwellwill live with me, because I have borne him six sons:. andShe shenamed calledhim his name Zebulun.
30:21	AndAfterwards, afterwards she barebore a daughter, and callednamed her name Dinah.
30:22	And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkenedlistened to her, and opened her womb.
30:23	AndShe she conceived, andbore bare a son:, and said, God hathhas taken away my reproach:.
30:24	andShe shenamed calledhim his name Joseph, saying, JehovahMay Yahweh add another son to me another son.
30:25	AndWhen it came to pass, when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said untoto Laban, Send me away, that I may go untoto minemy own place, and to my country.
30:26	Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served theeyou, and let me go:; for thouyou knowestknow my service wherewithwith which I have served theeyou.
30:27	And Laban said untoto him, If now I have found favor in thineyour eyes, tarry:stay here, for I have divined that JehovahYahweh hathhas blessed me for thyyour sake.
30:28	AndHe he said, Appoint me thyyour wages, and I will give it.
30:29	AndJacob he said untoto him, ThouYou knowestknow how I have served theeyou, and how thyyour cattlelivestock have fared with me.
30:30	For it was little which thouyou hadsthad before I came, and it hathhas increased untoto a multitude;. andYahweh Jehovahhas hath blessed theeyou whithersoeverwherever I turned:. andNow now when shallwill I provide for minemy own house also?
30:31	AndLaban he said, What shall I give theeyou? And Jacob said, ThouYou shaltshall not give me aught:anything. ifIf thouyou wiltwill do this thing for me, I will again feed thyyour flock and keep it.
30:32	I will pass through all thyyour flock to daytoday, removing from thencethere every speckled and spotted one, and every black one among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats:. andThis ofwill such shall be my hire.
30:33	So shall my righteousness will answer for me hereafter, when thouyou shalt come concerning my hire that is before thee:you. everyEvery one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and black among the sheep, that, ifmight foundbe with me, shallwill be countedconsidered stolen.
30:34	And Laban said, Behold, Ilet would it might be according to thyyour word.
30:35	AndThat day, he removed that day the hemale goats that were ringstreakedstreaked and spotted, and all the shefemale goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had white in it, and all the black ones among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons;.
30:36	andHe he set three days journey betwixtbetween himself and Jacob:, and Jacob fed the rest of Labans flocks.
30:37	And Jacob took himto himself rods of fresh poplar, and of the almond, and of the plane tree;, and peeled white streaks in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.
30:38	AndHe he set the rods which he had peeled overopposite against the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink;. andThey they conceived when they came to drink.
30:39	AndThe the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks broughtproduced forth ringstreakedstreaked, speckled, and spotted.
30:40	And Jacob separated the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstreakedstreaked and all the black in theLabans flock. ofHe Laban: and he put his own droves apart, and didnt put them notinto unto Labans flock.
30:41	AndWhenever it came to pass, whensoever the stronger of the flock did conceiveconceived, that Jacob laid the rods beforein front of the eyes of the flock in the gutterswatering troughs, that they might conceive among the rods;
30:42	but when the flock were feeble, he didnt put them not in:. soSo the feebler were Labans, and the stronger Jacobs.
30:43	AndThe the man increased exceedingly, and had large flocks, andfemale maid servants and menmale servants, and camels and assesdonkeys.
31:1	AndJacob he heard the words of Labans sons words, saying, Jacob hathhas taken away all that was our fathers;. andHe ofhas obtained all this wealth from that which was our fathers hath he gotten all this glory.
31:2	And Jacob beheldsaw the countenanceexpression ofon LabanLabans face, and, behold, it was not toward him as beforetimebefore.
31:3	AndYahweh Jehovah said untoto Jacob, Return untoto the land of thyyour fathers, and to thyyour kindred;relatives, and I will be with theeyou.
31:4	And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field untoto his flock,
31:5	and said untoto them, I see the expression on your fathers countenanceface, that it is not toward me as beforetimebefore; but the God of my father hathhas been with me.
31:6	AndYou ye know that with all my power I have served your father with all of my strength.
31:7	AndYour your father hathhas deceived me, and changed my wages ten times;, but God suffereddidnt allow him not to hurt me.
31:8	If he said thus, The speckled shallwill be thyyour wages;, then all the flock barebore speckled:. andIf if he said thus, The ringstreakedstreaked shallwill be thyyour wages;, then bare all the flock ringstreakedbore streaked.
31:9	Thus God hathhas taken away theyour cattlefathers of your fatherlivestock, and given them to me.
31:10	AndDuring itmating came to pass at the time that the flock conceiveseason, that I lifted up minemy eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the hemale goats which leaped uponon the flock were ringstreakedstreaked, speckled, and grizzled.
31:11	AndThe the angel of God said untoto me in the dream, Jacob:, and I said, Here I am I.
31:12	AndHe he said, LiftNow lift up nowyour thine eyes, and see:behold, all the hemale goats which leap uponon the flock are ringstreakedstreaked, speckled, and grizzled:, for I have seen all that Laban doethdoes untoto theeyou.
31:13	I am the God of Beth elBethel, where thouyou anointedstanointed a pillar, where thouyou vowedstvowed a vow untoto me:. nowNow arise, get thee out from this land, and return untoto the land of thyyour nativitybirth.
31:14	And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our fathers house?
31:15	AreArent we notconsidered accountedas foreigners by him as foreigners? forFor he hathhas sold us, and hathhas also quiteused devouredup our money.
31:16	For all the riches which God hathhas taken away from our father, thatare is ours and our childrens:. nowNow then, whatsoeverwhatever God hathhas said untoto theeyou, do.
31:17	Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives uponon the camels;,
31:18	and he carriedtook away all his cattlelivestock, and all his substancepossessions which he had gathered, including the cattlelivestock of his getting, which he had gatheredgained in Paddan aramAram, to go to Isaac his father, untoto the land of Canaan.
31:19	Now Laban washad gone to shear his sheep:; and Rachel stole the teraphim that were her fathers.
31:20	And Jacob stoledeceived away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he tolddidnt tell him not that he fledwas running away.
31:21	So he fled with all that he had;. andHe he rose up, and passed over the River, and set his face toward the mountain of Gilead.
31:22	AndLaban it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob washad fled.
31:23	AndHe he took his brethrenrelatives with him, and pursued after him seven days journey;. andHe he overtook him in the mountain of Gilead.
31:24	And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream of the night, and said untoto him, TakeBe heedcareful tothat thyselfyou thatdont thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
31:25	And Laban camecaught up with Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mountain:, and Laban with his brethrenrelatives encamped in the mountain of Gilead.
31:26	And Laban said to Jacob, What hasthave thouyou done, that thouyou hasthave stolendeceived away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters aslike captives of the sword?
31:27	WhereforeWhy didstdid thouyou flee secretly, and stealdeceive away from me, and didstdidnt not tell me, that I might have sent theeyou away with mirth and with songs, with tabrettambourine and with harp;
31:28	and didstdidnt notallow suffer me to kiss my sons and my daughters? nowNow hasthave thouyou done foolishly.
31:29	It is in the power of my hand to dohurt you, hurt: but the God of your father spakespoke untoto me yesternightlast night, saying, TakeBe heedcareful tothat thyselfyou thatdont thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
31:30	And nowNow, thoughyou thouwant wouldestto needs be gone, because thouyou soregreatly longedstlonged afterfor thyyour fathers house, yetbut whereforewhy hasthave thouyou stolen my gods?
31:31	And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid:, for I said, Lest thouyou shouldestshould take thyyour daughters from me by force.
31:32	WithAnyone whomsoeveryou thoufind findestyour thy gods, hewith shall not live:. beforeBefore our brethrenrelatives, discern thou what is thineyours with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knewdidnt notknow that Rachel had stolen them.
31:33	And Laban went into Jacobs tent, and into Leahs tent, and into the tent of the two maidfemale servants; but he founddidnt find them not. AndHe he went out of Leahs tent, and entered into Rachels tent.
31:34	Now Rachel had taken the teraphim, and put them in the camels saddle, and sat uponon them. And Laban felt aboutaround all the tent, but founddidnt find them not.
31:35	AndShe she said to her father, LetDont notlet my Lord be angry that I cannotcant rise up before theeyou; for theIm mannerhaving ofmy women is upon meperiod. AndHe he searched, but founddidnt notfind the teraphim.
31:36	And Jacob was wrothangry, and chodeargued with Laban:. and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? whatWhat is my sin, that thouyou hasthave hotly pursued after me?
31:37	WhereasNow thouthat hastyou have felt aboutaround in all my stuff, what hasthave thouyou found of all thyyour household stuff? Set it here before my brethrenrelatives and thyyour brethrenrelatives, that they may judge betwixtbetween us two.
31:38	These twenty years I have I been with thee;you. thyYour ewes and thyyour shefemale goats have not cast their young, and I havent eaten the rams of thyyour flocks have I not eaten.
31:39	That which was torn of beastsanimals, I broughtdidnt notbring untoto thee;you. I barebore theits loss. ofOf it; of my hand didstyou thourequired require it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.
31:40	ThusThis I was; my situation: in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep fled from minemy eyes.
31:41	These twenty years I have I been in thyyour house;. I served theeyou fourteen years for thyyour two daughters, and six years for thyyour flock:, and thouyou hasthave changed my wages ten times.
31:42	ExceptUnless the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the Fearfear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now hadstyou thouwould have sent me away empty. God hathhas seen minemy affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked theeyou yesternightlast night.
31:43	And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, The daughters are my daughters, and the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks, and all that thouyou seestsee is mine:! andWhat what can I do thistoday dayto unto these my daughters, or untoto their children whom they have borne?
31:44	AndNow now come, letlets us make a covenant, Iyou and thou;I. andLet let it be for a witness between me and theeyou.
31:45	And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.
31:46	And Jacob said untoto his brethrenrelatives, Gather stones;. andThey they took stones, and made a heap:. andThey theyate did eat there by the heap.
31:47	And Laban called it Jegar sahaSahadutha, dutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.
31:48	And Laban said, This heap is witness between me and theeyou this daytoday. Therefore it was thenamed name of it called Galeed:
31:49	and Mizpah, for he said, JehovahYahweh watch between me and theeyou, when we are absent one from another.
31:50	If thouyou shalt afflict my daughters, andor if thouyou shalt take wives besidesin addition to my daughters, no man is with us; seebehold, God is witness betwixtbetween me and theeyou.
31:51	And Laban said to Jacob, BeholdSee this heap, and beholdsee the pillar, which I have set betwixtbetween me and theeyou.
31:52	ThisMay this heap be a witness, and the pillar be a witness, that I will not pass over this heap to theeyou, and that thouyou shaltwill not pass over this heap and this pillar untoto me, for harm.
31:53	The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixtbetween us. AndThen Jacob swareswore by the Fearfear of his father, Isaac.
31:54	And Jacob offered a sacrifice in the mountain, and called his brethrenrelatives to eat bread:. andThey theyate did eat bread, and tarriedstayed all night in the mountain.
31:55	AndEarly early in the morning, Laban rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them:. and Laban departed, and returned untoto his place.
32:1	And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
32:2	AndWhen Jacob said when he saw them, Jacob said, This is Gods host:army. andHe he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
32:3	And Jacob sent messengers beforein front of him to Esau, his brother, untoto the land of Seir, the field of Edom.
32:4	AndHe he commanded them, saying, ThusThis shallis yewhat sayyou untoshall tell my Lord, Esau: ThusThis saithis thywhat your servant, Jacob, says. I have sojournedlived as a foreigner with Laban, and stayed until now:.
32:5	and I have oxencattle, and assesdonkeys, and flocks, andmale men servants, and maidfemale servants:. and I have sent to tell my Lord, that I may find favor in thyyour sight.
32:6	AndThe the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thyyour brother Esau,. andHe moreoveris hecoming cometh to meet theeyou, and four hundred men are with him.
32:7	Then Jacob was greatly afraid and was distressed:. andHe he divided the people thatwho were with him, andalong with the flocks, and the herds, and the camels, into two companies;.
32:8	andHe he said, If Esau comecomes to the one company, and smitestrikes it, then the company which is left shallwill escape.
32:9	And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, O JehovahYahweh, who saidstsaid untoto me, Return untoto thyyour country, and to thyyour kindredrelatives, and I will do theeyou good:,
32:10	I am not worthy of the least of all the lovingkindnessesloving kindnesses, and of all the truth, which thouyou hasthave showedshown untoto thyyour servant; for with just my staff I passedcrossed over this Jordan; and now I amhave become two companies.
32:11	DeliverPlease deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau:; for I fear him, lest he come and smitestrike me, and the mothermothers with the children.
32:12	AndYou thou saidstsaid, I will surely do theeyou good, and make thyyour seedoffspring as the sand of the sea, which cannotcant be numberedcounted forbecause multitudethere are so many.
32:13	AndHe hestayed lodged there that night, and took offrom that which he had with him a present for Esau, his brother:
32:14	two hundred shefemale goats and twenty hemale goats, two hundred ewes and twenty rams,
32:15	thirty milchmilk camels and their colts, forty cows, and ten bulls, twenty shefemale assesdonkeys and ten foals.
32:16	AndHe he delivered them into the handhands of his servants, every droveherd by itself, and said untoto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space betwixtbetween droveherd and droveherd.
32:17	AndHe he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau, my brother, meetethmeets theeyou, and askethasks theeyou, saying, Whose artare thouyou? andWhere whitherare goestyou thougoing? andWhose whose are these before theeyou?
32:18	thenThen thouyou shaltshall say, They are thyyour servant, Jacobs;. itIt is a present sent untoto my Lord, Esau:. andBehold, behold, he also is behind us.
32:19	AndHe he commanded also the second, and the third, and all that followed the drovesherds, saying, OnThis thisis mannerhow you shall ye speak untoto Esau, when yeyou find him;.
32:20	andYou ye shall say, MoreoverNot only that, but behold, thyyour servant, Jacob, is behind us. For, he said, I will appease him with the present that goethgoes before me, and afterward I will see his face;. peradventurePerhaps he will accept me.
32:21	So the present passed over before him:, and he himself lodgedstayed that night in the companycamp.
32:22	AndHe he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two handmaidsservants, and his eleven childrensons, and passedcrossed over the ford of the Jabbok.
32:23	AndHe he took them, and sent them over the stream, and sent over that which he had.
32:24	And Jacob was left alone;, and there wrestled with a man withthere him until the breaking of the day.
32:25	AndWhen when he saw that he prevaileddidnt notprevail against him, hethe man touched the hollow of his thigh;, and the hollow of Jacobs thigh was strained, as he wrestled with him.
32:26	AndThe heman said, Let me go, for the day breakethbreaks. AndJacob he said, I willwont not let theeyou go, exceptunless thouyou bless me.
32:27	AndHe he said untoto him, What is thyyour name? AndHe he said, Jacob.
32:28	AndHe he said, ThyYour name shallwill no longer be called no more Jacob, but Israel:; for thouyou hasthave strivenfought with God and with men, and hasthave prevailed.
32:29	And Jacob asked him, andPlease said,tell Tell me, Iyour pray thee, thy name. AndHe he said, WhereforeWhy is it that thouyou dost ask afterwhat my name is? AndSo he blessed him there.
32:30	And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel:; for, he said he, I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
32:31	AndThe the sun rose uponon him as he passed over PenuelPeniel, and he limped uponbecause of his thigh.
32:32	Therefore the children of Israel dont eat not the sinew of the hip, which is uponon the hollow of the thigh, untoto this day:, because he touched the hollow of Jacobs thigh in the sinew of the hip.
33:1	And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men. AndHe he divided the children untobetween Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaidsservants.
33:2	AndHe he put the handmaidsservants and their children foremostin front, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermostat the rear.
33:3	AndHe he himself passed over beforein front of them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
33:4	And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him:, and they wept.
33:5	AndHe he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are these with theeyou? AndHe he said, The children whom God hathhas graciously given thyyour servant.
33:6	Then the handmaidsservants came near, theywith and their children, and they bowed themselves.
33:7	And Leah also and her children came near, and bowed themselves:. andAfter afterthem, Joseph came Joseph near andwith Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
33:8	AndEsau he said, What meanestdo thouyou mean by all this company which I met? AndJacob he said, To find favor in the sight of my Lord.
33:9	And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; let that which thouyou hasthave be thineyours.
33:10	And Jacob said, NayPlease, I pray theeno, if now I have now found favor in thyyour sight, then receive my present at my hand;, forasmuchbecause as I have seen thyyour face, as one seethsees the face of God, and thouyou wastwere pleased with me.
33:11	Take,Please Itake praythe thee, my gift that isI brought to thee;you, because God hathhas dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. AndHe he urged him, and he took it.
33:12	AndEsau he said, LetLets us take our journey, and letlets us go, and I will go before theeyou.
33:13	AndJacob he said untoto him, My Lord knowethknows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young:, and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.
33:14	LetPlease let my Lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant:, and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the cattlelivestock that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come untoto my Lord untoto Seir.
33:15	And Esau said, Let me now leave with theeyou some of the folkpeople thatwho are with me. AndHe he said, What needeth itWhy? letLet me find favor in the sight of my Lord.
33:16	So Esau returned that day on his way untoto Seir.
33:17	And Jacob journeyedtraveled to Succoth, and built himhimself a house, and made boothsshelters for his cattle:livestock. thereforeTherefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
33:18	And Jacob came in peace to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Paddan aramAram; and encamped before the city.
33:19	AndHe he bought the parcel of ground, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechems father, for aone hundred pieces of money.
33:20	AndHe he erected there an altar there, and called it El Elohe Israel.
34:1	And Dinah, the daughter of Leah, whom she barebore untoto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.
34:2	And Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her;. andHe he took her, and lay with her, and humbled her.
34:3	AndHis his soul clavejoined untoto Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damselyoung lady, and spakespoke kindly untoto the damselyoung lady.
34:4	And Shechem spakespoke untoto his father, Hamor, saying, Get me this damselyoung tolady as a wife.
34:5	Now Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah, his daughter; and his sons were with his cattlelivestock in the field:. and Jacob held his peace until they came.
34:6	And Hamor the father of Shechem went out untoto Jacob to communetalk with him.
34:7	AndThe the sons of Jacob came in from the field when they heard it:. andThe the men were grieved, and they were very wrothangry, because he had wroughtdone folly in Israel in lying with Jacobs daughter;, whicha thing that ought not to be done.
34:8	And Hamor communedtalked with them, saying, The soul of my son, Shechem, longethlongs for your daughter:. IPlease pray you, give her untoto him toas a wife.
34:9	AndMake make ye marriages with us;. giveGive your daughters untoto us, and take our daughters untofor youyourselves.
34:10	AndYou ye shall dwell with us:, and the land shallwill be before you;. dwellLive and trade yein thereinit, and get you possessions thereinin it.
34:11	And Shechem said untoto her father and untoto her brethrenbrothers, Let me find favor in your eyes, and whatwhatever yeyou shallwill saytell unto me I will give.
34:12	Ask me nevera sogreat muchamount dowryfor anda giftdowry, and I will give accordingwhatever asyou yeask shallof say unto me:, but give me the damselyoung tolady as a wife.
34:13	AndThe the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father with guile,deceit andwhen spakethey spoke, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,
34:14	and said untoto them, We cannotcant do this thing, to give our sister to one thatwho is uncircumcised; for that wereis a reproach untoto us.
34:15	Only on this condition will we consent untoto you:. ifIf yeyou will be as we are, that every male of you be circumcised;,
34:16	then will we give our daughters untoto you,; and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.
34:17	But if yeyou will not hearkenlisten untoto us, toand be circumcised;, then we will we take our daughtersister, and we will be gone.
34:18	AndTheir their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem, Hamors son.
34:19	AndThe the young man deferreddidnt notwait to do thethis thing, because he had delight in Jacobs daughter:, and he was honored above all the house of his father.
34:20	And Hamor and Shechem, his son, came untoto the gate of their city, and communedtalked with the men of their city, saying,
34:21	These men are peaceablepeaceful with us;. thereforeTherefore let them dwelllive in the land, and trade therein;in for,it. For behold, the land is large enough for them;. letLets us take their daughters to us for wives, and letlets us give them our daughters.
34:22	Only on this condition will the men consent untoto us to dwelllive with us, to become one people, if every male among us beis circumcised, as they are circumcised.
34:23	ShallWont not their cattlelivestock and their substancepossessions and all their beastsanimals be ours? onlyOnly letlets usgive our consent untoto them, and they will dwell with us.
34:24	AndAll untowho Hamorwent andout untoof Shechemthe hisgate sonof hearkenedhis allcity thatlistened wentto outHamor, ofand theto gateShechem of his cityson; and every male was circumcised, all thatwho went out of the gate of his city.
34:25	AndOn it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of theJacobs sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinahs brethrenbrothers, took each mantook his sword, and came upon the unsuspecting city unawares, and slewkilled all the males.
34:26	AndThey theykilled slew Hamor and Shechem, his son, with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechems house, and went forthaway.
34:27	TheJacobs sons of Jacob came uponon the slaindead, and plundered the city, because they had defiled their sister.
34:28	They took their flocks, and their herds, and their assesdonkeys, and that which was in the city, and that which was in the field;,
34:29	and all their wealth,. andThey took captive all their little ones and their wives, took they captive and madetook aas prey,plunder eveneverything all that was in the house.
34:30	And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, YeYou have troubled me, to make me odious to the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites:. and, I beingam few in number,. theyThey will gather themselves together against me and smitestrike me;, and I shallwill be destroyed, I and my house.
34:31	AndThey they said, Should he deal with our sister as with a harlotprostitute?
35:1	And God said untoto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth elBethel, and dwelllive there:. andMake make there an altar untoto God, who appeared untoto theeyou when thouyou fleddestfled from the face of Esau thyyour brother.
35:2	Then Jacob said untoto his household, and to all thatwho were with him, Put away the foreign gods that are among you, and purify yourselves, and change your garments:.
35:3	andLets let us arise, and go up to BethBethel. el; and I will make there an altar untoto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me inon the way which I went.
35:4	AndThey they gave untoto Jacob all the foreign gods which were in their handhands, and the rings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.
35:5	AndThey theytraveled, journeyed: and a terror of God was uponon the cities that were roundaround about them, and they diddidnt not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
35:6	So Jacob came to Luz that is, Bethel, which is in the land of Canaan the same is Beth el, he and all the people thatwho were with him.
35:7	AndHe he built there an altar there, and called the place El bethBeth elEl; because there God was revealed untoto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
35:8	And Deborah, Rebekahs nurse, died, and she was buried below BethBethel el under the oak:; and theits name of it was called Allon bacuthBacuth.
35:9	And God appeared untoto Jacob again, when he came from Paddan aramAram, and blessed him.
35:10	And God said untoto him, ThyYour name is Jacob:. thyYour name shall not be calledJacob any more Jacob, but Israelyour shallname will be thyIsrael. name:He andnamed hehim called his name Israel.
35:11	And God said untoto him, I am God Almighty:. beBe fruitful and multiply;. aA nation and a company of nations shallwill be offrom theeyou, and kings shallwill come out of thyyour loins;body.
35:12	andThe the land which I gave untoto Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it to you, and to thyyour seedoffspring after theeyou I will I give the land.
35:13	And God went up from him in the place where he spakespoke with him.
35:14	And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he spakespoke with him, a pillar of stone:. andHe he poured out a drink offering thereonon it, and poured oil thereonon it.
35:15	And Jacob called the name of the place where God spakespoke with him, Beth elBethel.
35:16	AndThey theytraveled journeyed from BethBethel. el;There and there was still some distance to come to Ephrath:, and Rachel travailed,. andShe she had hard labor.
35:17	AndWhen it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said untoto her, FearDont not;be afraid, for now thouyou shaltwill have another son.
35:18	AndAs it came to pass, as her soul was departing for she died, that she callednamed hishim nameBenoni, Ben oni: but his father callednamed him Benjamin.
35:19	And Rachel died, and was buried inon the way to Ephrath thealso samecalled is Beth lehemBethlehem.
35:20	And Jacob set up a pillar uponon her grave:. theThe same is the Pillar of Rachels grave untoto this day.
35:21	And Israel journeyedtraveled, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Eder.
35:22	AndWhile it came to pass, while Israel dweltlived in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah, his fathers concubine:, and Israel heard of it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:.
35:23	theThe sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacobs first bornfirstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun;.
35:24	theThe sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin;.

35:27	And Jacob came untoto Isaac his father, to Mamre, to Kiriath arbaArba thewhich same is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojournedlived as foreigners.

37:1	And Jacob dweltlived in the land of his fathers sojourningstravels, in the land of Canaan.
37:2	TheseThis areis the history of the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren;brothers. andHe he was a ladboy with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his fathers wives:. and Joseph brought thean evil report of them untoto their father.
37:3	Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age:, and he made him a coattunic of many colors.
37:4	AndHis hisbrothers brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren;brothers, and they hated him, and couldcouldnt not speak peaceably untoto him.
37:5	And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren:brothers, and they hated him yetall the more.
37:6	AndHe he said untoto them, Hear,Please Ihear pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
37:7	for, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lobehold, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves came round aboutaround, and madebowed obeisancedown to my sheaf.
37:8	AndHis hisbrothers brethrenasked said to him, ShaltWill thouyou indeed reign over us? orWill shaltyou thou indeed have dominion over us? AndThey they hated him yetall the more for his dreams, and for his words.
37:9	AndHe he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethrenbrothers, and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet aanother dream;: and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars madebowed obeisancedown to me.
37:10	AndHe he told it to his father, and to his brethren;brothers. andHis his father rebuked him, and said untoto him, What is this dream that thouyou hasthave dreamed? ShallWill I and thyyour mother and thyyour brethrenbrothers indeed come to bow down ourselves todown thee to the earth before you?
37:11	AndHis hisbrothers brethren envied him;, but his father kept thethis saying in mind.
37:12	AndHis hisbrothers brethren went to feed their fathers flock in Shechem.
37:13	And Israel said untoto Joseph, AreArent notyour thybrothers brethren feeding the flock in Shechem? comeCome, and I will send theeyou untoto them. AndHe he said to him, Here I am I.
37:14	AndHe he said to him, Go now, see whether it is well with thyyour brethrenbrothers, and well with the flock; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the valevalley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.
37:15	AndA a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field:. andThe the man asked him, saying, What seekestare thouyou looking for?
37:16	AndHe he said, I am seekinglooking for my brethren:brothers. tellTell me, I pray theeplease, where they are feeding the flock.
37:17	AndThe the man said, They arehave departedleft hence;here, for I heard them say, LetLets us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethrenbrothers, and found them in Dothan.
37:18	AndThey they saw him afar off, and before he came near untoto them, they conspired against him to slaykill him.
37:19	AndThey they said to one to another, Behold, this dreamer comethcomes.
37:20	Come now therefore, and letlets uskill slay him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, An evil beastanimal hathhas devoured him:. andWe wewill shall see what will become of his dreams.
37:21	And Reuben heard it, and delivered him out of their hand, and said, LetLets us not take his life.
37:22	And Reuben said untoto them, Shed no blood;. castThrow him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but lay no hand uponon him: —that he might deliver him out of their hand, to restore him to his father.
37:23	AndWhen itJoseph came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethrenbrothers, that they stripped Joseph of his coattunic, the coattunic of many colors that was on him;
37:24	and they took him, and castthrew him into the pit:. andThe the pit was empty,. thereThere was no water in it.
37:25	AndThey they sat down to eat bread:, and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold,saw a caravan of Ishmaelites was coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing spiceryspices and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.
37:26	And Judah said untoto his brethrenbrothers, What profit is it if we slaykill our brother and conceal his blood?
37:27	Come, and letlets us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and not let not our hand be uponon him; for he is our brother, our flesh. AndHis hisbrothers brethrenlistened hearkenedto unto him.
37:28	AndMidianites therewho were merchants passed by Midianites, merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. AndThe theymerchants brought Joseph into Egypt.
37:29	And Reuben returned untoto the pit;, and, behold,saw that Joseph waswasnt not in the pit; and he renttore his clothes.
37:30	AndHe he returned untoto his brethrenbrothers, and said, The child is notno more; and I, whitherwhere shallwill I go?
37:31	AndThey they took Josephs coattunic, and killed a hemale goat, and dipped the coattunic in the blood;.
37:32	andThey theytook sent the coattunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father, and said, ThisWe have we found: knowthis. Examine it, now, whetherand see if it is thyyour sons coattunic or not.
37:33	AndHe herecognized knew it, and said, It is my sons coat;tunic. anAn evil beastanimal hathhas devoured him;. Joseph is without doubt torn in pieces.
37:34	And Jacob renttore his garmentsclothes, and put sackcloth uponon his loinswaist, and mourned for his son many days.
37:35	AndAll all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him;, but he refused to be comforted;. andHe he said, For I will go down to Sheol to my son, mourning. AndHis his father wept for him.
37:36	AndThe the Midianites sold him into Egypt untoto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaohs, the captain of the guard.
38:1	AndAt it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethrenbrothers, and turnedvisited in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.
38:2	AndThere, Judah saw therethe a daughter of a certain Canaanite whoseman namenamed was Shua;. andHe he took her, and went in untoto her.
38:3	AndShe she conceived, and barebore a son; and he callednamed hishim name Er.
38:4	AndShe she conceived again, and barebore a son; and she callednamed hishim name Onan.
38:5	AndShe she yet again barebore a son, and callednamed hishim name Shelah:. andHe he was at Chezib, when she barebore him.
38:6	And Judah took a wife for Er, his first bornfirstborn, and her name was Tamar.
38:7	And Er, Judahs first bornfirstborn, was wicked in theYahwehs sight. ofSo Jehovah;Yahweh andkilled Jehovah slew him.
38:8	And Judah said untoto Onan, Go in untoto thyyour brothers wife, and perform the duty of a husbands brother untoto her, and raise up seedoffspring tofor thyyour brother.
38:9	And Onan knew that the seedoffspring wouldwouldnt not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in untoto his brothers wife, that he spilled ithis semen on the ground, lest he should give seedoffspring to his brother.
38:10	AndThe the thing which he did was evil in theYahwehs sight, of Jehovah: and he slewkilled him also.
38:11	Then Judah said Judah to Tamar, his daughter in law, Remain a widow in thyyour fathers house, tilluntil Shelah, my son, beis grown up; for he said, Lest he also die, like his brethrenbrothers. And Tamar went and dweltlived in her fathers house.
38:12	AndAfter inmany processdays, of time Shuas daughter, the wife of Judah, died;. and Judah was comforted, and went up untoto his sheep shearers to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah, the Adullamite.
38:13	AndTamar it was told Tamar, saying, Behold, thyyour father in law goethis going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.
38:14	AndShe shetook put off from her the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is byon the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she waswasnt not given untoto him toas a wife.
38:15	When Judah saw her, he thought herthat toshe bewas a harlot;prostitute, for she had covered her face.
38:16	AndHe he turned untoto her by the way, and said, Come,Please I pray theecome, let me come in untoto thee:you, for he knewdidnt notknow that she was his daughter in law. AndShe she said, What wiltwill thouyou give me, that thouyou mayestmay come in untoto me?
38:17	AndHe he said, I will send theeyou a kidyoung ofgoat the goats from the flock. AndShe she said, WiltWill thouyou give me a pledge, tilluntil thouyou send it?
38:18	AndHe he said, What pledge shallwill I give theeyou? AndShe she said, ThyYour signet and thyyour cord, and thyyour staff that is in thyyour hand. AndHe he gave them to her, and came in untoto her, and she conceived by him.
38:19	AndShe she arose, and went away, and put off her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.
38:20	And Judah sent the kidyoung ofgoat the goats by the hand of his friend, the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the womans hand:, but he founddidnt find her not.
38:21	Then he asked the men of her place, saying, Where is the prostitute, that was at Enaim by the waysideroad? AndThey they said, There hathhas been no prostitute here.
38:22	AndHe he returned to Judah, and said, I havehavent not found her; and also the men of the place said, There hathhas been no prostitute here.
38:23	And Judah said, Let her takekeep it to her, lest we be putshamed. to shame: beholdBehold, I sent this kidyoung goat, and thouyou hasthavent not found her.
38:24	AndAbout it came to pass about three months afterlater, thatJudah it was told Judah, sayingTamar, Tamaryour thy daughter in law, hathhas played the harlot;prostitute. and moreoverMoreover, behold, she is with child by whoredomprostitution. And Judah said, Bring her forthout, and let her be burntburned.
38:25	When she was brought forthout, she sent to her father in law, saying, ByI theam man,with whosechild theseby are,the amman Iwho withowns child:these. andShe shealso said, Discern,Please Idiscern pray thee, whose are these, are—the signet, and the cords, and the staff.
38:26	And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She is more righteous than I, forasmuchbecause as I gavedidnt give her not to Shelah, my son. AndHe he knew her again no more.
38:27	AndIn it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.
38:28	AndWhen it came to pass, when she travailed, that one put out a hand:, and the midwife took and boundtied upona hisscarlet handthread aon scarlethis threadhand, saying, This came out first.
38:29	AndAs it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out:, and she said, WhereforeWhy hasthave thouyou made a breach for thyselfyourself? thereforeTherefore his name was called Perez.
38:30	AndAfterward afterwardhis brother came out his brother, thatwho had the scarlet thread uponon his hand:, and his name was called Zerah.
39:1	And Joseph was brought down to Egypt;. and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaohs, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him offrom the hand of the Ishmaelites, that had brought him down thitherthere.
39:2	AndYahweh Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man;. andHe he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
39:3	AndHis his master saw that JehovahYahweh was with him, and that JehovahYahweh made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
39:4	And Joseph found favor in his sight,. andHe he ministered untoto him:, and hePotiphar made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
39:5	AndFrom it came to pass from the time that he made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, thatYahweh Jehovah blessed the Egyptians house for Josephs sake;. andYahwehs the blessing of Jehovah was uponon all that he had, in the house and in the field.
39:6	AndHe he left all that he had in Josephs hand;. andHe hedidnt knewconcern nothimself aught that was with himanything, saveexcept for the breadfood which he did eatate. And Joseph was comely,well built and well favoredhandsome.
39:7	AndAfter it came to pass after these things, that his masters wife castset her eyes uponon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
39:8	But he refused, and said untoto his masters wife, Behold, my master knowethdoesnt notknow what is with me in the house, and he hathhas put all that he hathhas into my hand:.
39:9	heNo one is not greater in this house than I; neitheram, hathand he has not kept back anything from me but theeyou, because thouyou artare his wife:. howHow then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
39:10	AndAs it came to pass, as she spakespoke to Joseph day by day, that he hearkeneddidnt notlisten untoto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
39:11	AndAbout it came to pass about this time, that he went into the house to do his work;, and there waswere none of the men of the house there withininside.
39:12	AndShe she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me:! andHe he left his garment in her hand, and fled,ran and got him outoutside.
39:13	AndWhen it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and washad fledrun forthoutside,
39:14	that she called untoto the men of her house, and spakespoke untoto them, saying, SeeBehold, he hathhas brought in a Hebrew untoin to us to mock us:. heHe came in untoto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:.
39:15	andWhen it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment by me, and fled,ran and got him outoutside.
39:16	AndShe she laid up his garment by her, until his master came home.
39:17	AndShe shespoke spaketo unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, whom thouyou hasthave brought untoto us, came in untoto me to mock me:,
39:18	and it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment by me, and fledran outoutside.
39:19	AndWhen it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spakespoke untoto him, saying, AfterThis thisis mannerwhat didyour thy servant did to me;, that his wrath was kindled.
39:20	And Josephs master took him, and put him into the prison, the place where the kings prisoners were bound:, and he was there in the prisoncustody.
39:21	But JehovahYahweh was with Joseph, and showed kindness untoto him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
39:22	AndThe the keeper of the prison committed to Josephs hand all the prisoners thatwho were in the prison;. andWhatever whatsoever they did there, he was theresponsible doerfor of it.
39:23	The keeper of the prison lookeddidnt notlook toafter anything that was under his hand, because JehovahYahweh was with him; and that which he did, JehovahYahweh made it to prosper.
40:1	AndAfter it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker offended their Lord, the king of Egypt.
40:2	And Pharaoh was wrothangry againstwith his two officers, against the chief ofcup thebearer butlers, and against the chief of the bakersbaker.
40:3	AndHe he put them in wardcustody in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
40:4	AndThe the captain of the guard chargedassigned Josephthem withto themJoseph, and he ministeredtook untocare of them:. andThey theystayed continuedin aprison seasonmany in warddays.
40:5	AndThey theyboth dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream, in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butlercup bearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison.
40:6	And Joseph came in untoto them in the morning, and saw them, and, behold,saw that they were sad.
40:7	AndHe he asked Pharaohs officers thatwho were with him in wardcustody in his masters house, saying, WhereforeWhy do you look ye so sad to daytoday?
40:8	AndThey they said untoto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is noneno thatone who can interpret it. And Joseph said untoto them, DoDont not interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me, I pray you.
40:9	AndThe the chief butlercup bearer told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was beforein front of me;,
40:10	and in the vine were three branches:. andIt it was as though it budded, andit itsblossomed, blossoms shot forth; and theits clusters thereofproduced brought forth ripe grapes:.
40:11	and Pharaohs cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaohs cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaohs hand.
40:12	And Joseph said untoto him, This is theits interpretation of it: the three branches are three days;.
40:13	withinWithin yet three more days, shall Pharaoh will lift up thyyour head, and restore theeyou untoto thineyour office:. andYou thouwill shalt give Pharaohs cup into his hand, after the formerway manneryou did when thouyou wastwere his butlercup bearer.
40:14	But haveremember me in thy remembrance when it shallis be well with thee,you. andPlease show kindness, Ito pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me untoto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:.
40:15	forFor indeed, I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews:, and here also I have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
40:16	When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said untoto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head:.
40:17	andIn in the uppermost basket there waswere of all mannerkinds of baked food for Pharaoh;, and the birds didate eat them out of the basket uponon my head.
40:18	And Joseph answered and said, This is theits interpretation. thereof:The the three baskets are three days;.
40:19	withinWithin yet three more days, shall Pharaoh will lift up thyyour head from off theeyou, and shallwill hang theeyou on a tree; and the birds shallwill eat thyyour flesh from off theeyou.
40:20	AndOn it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaohs birthday, that he made a feast untofor all his servants:, and he lifted up the head of the chief butlercup bearer and the head of the chief baker among his servants.
40:21	AndHe he restored the chief butlercup untobearer to his butlershipposition again;, and he gave the cup into Pharaohs hand:;
40:22	but he hanged the chief baker:, as Joseph had interpreted to them.
40:23	Yet did not the chief butlercup bearer didnt remember Joseph, but forgatforgot him.
41:1	AndAt it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed:, and, behold, he stood by the river.
41:2	AndBehold, behold,seven therecattle came up out of the river. sevenThey kine,were wellsleek favored and fat, fleshed; and they fed in the reedmarsh grass.
41:3	AndBehold, behold, seven other kinecattle came up after them out of the river, illugly favored and lean fleshedthin, and stood by the other kinecattle uponon the brink of the river.
41:4	AndThe theugly ill favored and leanthin fleshedcattle kineate did eat up the seven wellsleek favored and fat kinecattle. So Pharaoh awoke.
41:5	AndHe he slept and dreamed a second time:; and, behold, seven earsheads of grain came up uponon one stalk, rankhealthy and good.
41:6	AndBehold, behold, seven earsheads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
41:7	AndThe the thin earsheads of grain swallowed up the seven rankhealthy and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
41:8	AndIn it came to pass in the morning, that his spirit was troubled;, and he sent and called for all theof Egypts magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men. thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream;dreams, but there was noneno thatone who could interpret them untoto Pharaoh.
41:9	Then spake the chief butlercup untobearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:today.
41:10	Pharaoh was wrothangry with his servants, and put me in wardcustody in the house of the captain of the guard, mewith and the chief baker:.
41:11	andWe we dreamed a dream in one night, Ihe and he;I. weEach man dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.
41:12	AndThere there was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard;, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams;. He interpreted to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
41:13	AndAs it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was;. meHe he restored untome mineto my office, and him he hanged him.
41:14	Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon:. andHe he shaved himself, and changed his raimentclothing, and came in untoto Pharaoh.
41:15	And Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is noneno thatone who can interpret it:. and I have heard sayit said of theeyou, that when thouyou hearesthear a dream thouyou canstcan interpret it.
41:16	And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It isisnt not in me:. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
41:17	And Pharaoh spakespoke untoto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood uponon the brink of the river:;
41:18	and, behold, thereseven fat and sleek cattle came up out of the river. sevenThey kine, fat fleshed and well favored; and they fed in the reedmarsh grass:;
41:19	and, behold, seven other kinecattle came up after them, poor and very illugly favored and lean fleshedthin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:ugliness.
41:20	andThe thethin lean and illugly favoredcattle kineate did eat up the first seven fat kine:cattle;
41:21	and when they had eaten them up, it couldcouldnt not be known that they had eaten them;, but they were still ill favoredugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
41:22	And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven earsheads of grain came up uponon one stalk, full and good:;
41:23	and, behold, seven earsheads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:.
41:24	andThe the thin earsheads of grain swallowed up the seven good ears:heads andof grain. I told it untoto the magicians;, but there was noneno thatone who could declareexplain it to me.
41:25	And Joseph said untoto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one:. whatWhat God is about to do he hathhas declared untoto Pharaoh.
41:26	The seven good kinecattle are seven years; and the seven good earsheads of grain are seven years:. theThe dream is one.
41:27	AndThe the seven leanthin and illugly favoredcattle kine that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty earsheads of grain blasted with the east wind; they shallwill be seven years of famine.
41:28	That is the thing which I spakehave untospoken to Pharaoh:. what God ishas aboutshown toPharaoh dowhat he hathis showedabout untoto Pharaohdo.
41:29	Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: are coming.
41:30	andSeven thereyears shallof famine will arise after them, seven years of famine; and all the plenty shallwill be forgotten in the land of Egypt;. andThe the famine shallwill consume the land;,
41:31	and the plenty shallwill not be known in the land by reason of that famine which followethfollows; for it shallwill be very grievous.
41:32	AndThe for that the dream was doubled untoto Pharaoh, it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
41:33	Now therefore let Pharaoh look outfor a man discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.
41:34	Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of EgyptEgypts produce in the seven plenteous years.
41:35	AndLet let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and laystore up grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.
41:36	AndThe the food shallwill be forto asupply store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shallwill be in the land of Egypt; so that the land perishwill not perish through the famine.
41:37	AndThe the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
41:38	And Pharaoh said untoto his servants, Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the spiritSpirit of God is?
41:39	And Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, ForasmuchBecause as God hathhas showedshown theeyou all of this, there is noneno one so discreet and wise as thou:you.
41:40	thouYou shaltshall be over my house,. andAll accordingmy untopeople thywill wordbe shallruled allaccording myto peopleyour beword. ruled:Only only in the throne I will I be greater than thouyou.
41:41	And Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, SeeBehold, I have set theeyou over all the land of Egypt.
41:42	And Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it uponon Josephs hand, and arrayed him in vesturesrobes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;.
41:43	andHe he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had;. andThey they cried before him, Bow the knee:! andHe he set him over all the land of Egypt.
41:44	And Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, I am Pharaoh,. andWithout withoutyou, thee shall no man shall lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.
41:45	And Pharaoh called Josephs name Zaphenath paneah;Paneah. andHe he gave him to wife Asenath, the daughter of PotiPotiphera phera priest of On as a wife. And Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.
41:46	And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
41:47	AndIn in the seven plenteous years the earth broughtproduced forth by handfulsabundantly.
41:48	AndHe he gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities:. theHe stored food ofin theeach field,city whichfrom wasthe roundfields aboutaround everythat city, laid he up in the same.
41:49	And Joseph laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he leftstopped offcounting, numbering; for it was without number.
41:50	AndTo unto Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, barebore untoto him.
41:51	And Joseph called the name of the firstfirstborn born Manasseh:, For, he said he, God hathhas made me forget all my toil, and all my fathers house.
41:52	AndThe the name of the second, he called he Ephraim: For God hathhas made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.
41:53	AndThe the seven years of plenty, that waswere in the land of Egypt, came to an end.
41:54	AndThe the seven years of famine began to come, accordingjust as Joseph had said:. andThere there was famine in all lands;, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
41:55	AndWhen when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread:, and Pharaoh said untoto all the Egyptians, Go untoto Joseph;. whatWhat he saithsays to you, do.
41:56	AndThe the famine was over all the facesurface of the earth:. and Joseph opened all the store houses, and sold untoto the Egyptians;. andThe the famine was soresevere in the land of Egypt.
41:57	AndAll all countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was soresevere in all the earth.
42:1	Now Jacob saw that there was grain in Egypt, and Jacob said untoto his sons, Why do yeyou look at one upon another?
42:2	AndHe he said, Behold, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt:. getGo you down thitherthere, and buy for us from thence;there, so that we may live, and not die.
42:3	And Josephs ten brethrenbrothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.
42:4	But Jacob didnt send Benjamin, Josephs brother, Jacob sent not with his brethrenbrothers; for he said, Lest peradventureperhaps harm befallhappen to him.
42:5	AndThe the sons of Israel came to buy among those thatwho came:, for the famine was in the land of Canaan.
42:6	And Joseph was the governor over the land;. heIt it was thathe who sold to all the people of the land. And Josephs brethrenbrothers came, and bowed themselves down themselves to him with their faces to the earth.
42:7	And Joseph saw his brethrenbrothers, and he knewrecognized them, but madeacted himselflike strangea untostranger to them, and spakespoke roughly with them;. andHe he said untoto them, WhenceWhere did you come yefrom? AndThey they said, From the land of Canaan, to buy food.
42:8	And Joseph knewrecognized his brethrenbrothers, but they knewdidnt notrecognize him.
42:9	And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed ofabout them, and said untoto them, YeYou are spies;! You have come to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
42:10	AndThey they said untoto him, NayNo, my Lord, but toyour buyservants foodhave arecome thyto servantsbuy comefood.
42:11	We are all one mans sons; we are truehonest men,. thyYour servants are nonot spies.
42:12	AndHe he said untoto them, NayNo, but you have come to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.!
42:13	AndThey they said, We, thyyour servants, are twelve brethrenbrothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is thistoday day with our father, and one is notno more.
42:14	And Joseph said untoto them, ThatIt is itlike that I spaketold unto you, saying, YeYou are spies:!
42:15	herebyBy yethis you shall be proved:tested. byBy the life of Pharaoh, yeyou shall not go forthout hencefrom here, exceptunless your youngest brother comecomes hitherhere.
42:16	Send one of you, and let him fetchget your brother, and yeyou shall be bound, that your words may be provedtested, whether there beis truth in you:, or else by the life of Pharaoh surely yeyou are spies.
42:17	AndHe he put them all together into wardcustody for three days.
42:18	And Joseph said untoto them the third day, ThisDo dothis, and live;, for I fear God:.
42:19	ifIf yeyou beare truehonest men, then let one of your brethrenbrothers be bound in your prison house; but you go ye, carry grain for the famine of your houses:.
42:20	andBring bring your youngest brother untoto me; so shallwill your words be verified, and yeyou shallwont not die. AndThey they did so.
42:21	AndThey they said to one to another, We are verilycertainly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he besoughtbegged us, and we wouldwouldnt notlisten. hear;Therefore therefore is this distress has come upon us.
42:22	And Reuben answered them, saying, SpakeDidnt I nottell unto you, saying, DoDont not sin against the child;, and yeyou wouldwouldnt not hearlisten? thereforeTherefore also, behold, his blood is required.
42:23	AndThey theydidnt knewknow not that Joseph understood them; for there was an interpreter between them.
42:24	AndHe he turned himself aboutaway from them, and wept;. andThen he returned to them, and spakespoke to them, and took Simeon from among them, and bound him before their eyes.
42:25	Then Joseph commandedgave a command to fill their vesselsbags with grain, and to restore everyeach mans money into his sack, and to give them provisionfood for the way:. andSo thusit was it done untoto them.
42:26	AndThey theyloaded laded their assesdonkeys with their grain, and departed thencefrom there.
42:27	AndAs as one of them opened his sack to give his assdonkey provenderfood in the lodging place, he espiedsaw his money;. andBehold, behold, it was in the mouth of his sack.
42:28	AndHe he said untoto his brethrenbrothers, My money is restored;! andBehold, lo, it is even in my sack:! andTheir theirhearts heart failed them, and they turned trembling to one to another, saying, What is this that God hathhas done untoto us?
42:29	AndThey they came untoto Jacob their father, untoto the land of Canaan, and told him all that had befallenhappened to them, saying,
42:30	The man, the Lord of the land, spakespoke roughly with us, and took us for spies of the country.
42:31	AndWe we said untoto him, We are truehonest men;. weWe are no spies:.
42:32	weWe are twelve brethrenbrothers, sons of our father; one is notno more, and the youngest is thistoday day with our father in the land of Canaan.
42:33	AndThe the man, the Lord of the land, said untoto us, HerebyBy shallthis I will know that yeyou are truehonest men: leave one of your brethrenbrothers with me, and take grain for the famine of your houses, and go your way;.
42:34	andBring bring your youngest brother untoto me:. thenThen shall I will know that yeyou are nonot spies, but that yeyou are truehonest men:. soSo I will I deliver you your brother to you, and yeyou shall traffictrade in the land.
42:35	AndAs it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, everyeach mans bundle of money was in his sack:. andWhen when they and their father saw their bundles of money, they were afraid.
42:36	And Jacob, their father, said untoto them, MeYou have ye bereaved me of my children:! Joseph is notno more, and Simeon is notno more, and yeyou willwant to take Benjamin away:. allAll these things are against me.
42:37	And Reuben spakespoke untoto his father, saying, SlayKill my two sons, if I dont bring him not to thee:you. deliverEntrust him intoto my handcare, and I will bring him to theeyou again.
42:38	AndHe he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left:. ifIf harm befallhappens to him byalong the way in which yeyou go, then you will ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.
43:1	AndThe the famine was soresevere in the land.
43:2	AndWhen it came to pass, when they had eaten up the grain which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said untoto them, Go again, buy us a little more food.
43:3	And Judah spakespoke untoto him, saying, The man did solemnly protestwarned unto us, saying, YeYou shall not see my face, exceptunless your brother beis with you.
43:4	If thouyoull wilt send our brother with us, wewell will go down and buy theeyou food:;
43:5	but if thouyou wiltdont not send him, we willwont not go down;, for the man said untoto us, YeYou shall not see my face, exceptunless your brother beis with you.
43:6	And Israel said, WhereforeWhy dealtdid yeyou sotreat illme withso mebadly, astelling to tell the man whetherthat yeyou had yetanother a brother?
43:7	AndThey they said, The man asked straitlydirectly concerning ourselves, and concerning our kindredrelatives, saying, Is your father yetstill alive? haveHave yeyou another brother? andWe wejust toldanswered himhis accordingquestions. toIs thethere tenorany ofway thesewe words: could we in any wise know that he would say, Bring your brother down?
43:8	And Judah said untoto Israel, his father, Send the ladboy with me, and wewell willget ariseup and go;, so that we may live, and not die, both we, and thouyou, and also our little ones.
43:9	IIll will be suretycollateral for him;. ofFrom my hand shaltwill thouyou require him:. ifIf I dont bring him notto unto theeyou, and set him before theeyou, then let me bear the blame for ever:forever;
43:10	for exceptif we hadhadnt lingereddelayed, surely we hadwould nowhave returned a second time by now.
43:11	AndTheir their father, Israel, said untoto them, If it must be so now, then do this: takeTake offrom the choice fruits of the land in your vesselsbags, and carry down a present for the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spiceryspices and myrrh, nuts, and almonds;
43:12	and take double money in your hand;, and take back the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks. carryPerhaps again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:.
43:13	takeTake also your brother also, andget ariseup, goand againreturn untoto the man:.
43:14	andMay God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release untoto you your other brother and Benjamin. AndIf if I beam bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.
43:15	AndThe the men took that present, and they took double money in their hand, and Benjamin; and rosegot up, and went down to Egypt, and stood before Joseph.
43:16	AndWhen when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, Bring the men into the house, and slaybutcher an animal, and make readyprepare; for the men shallwill dine with me at noon.
43:17	AndThe the man did as Joseph bade;commanded, and the man brought the men to Josephs house.
43:18	AndThe the men were afraid, because they were brought to Josephs house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time, arewere we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, andattack fall upon us, and takeseize us foras bondmenslaves, andalong with our assesdonkeys.
43:19	AndThey they came near to the steward of Josephs house, and they spakespoke untoto him at the door of the house,
43:20	and said, Oh, my Lord, we indeed came indeed down at the first time to buy food:.
43:21	andWhen it came to pass, when we came to the lodging place, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, everyeach mans money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight:. andWe we have brought it againback in our hand.
43:22	AndWe other money have we brought down other money in our hand to buy food:. weWe dont know not who put our money in our sacks.
43:23	AndHe he said, Peace be to you,. fearDont not:be yourafraid. Your God, and the God of your father, hathhas given you treasure in your sacks:. I hadreceived your money. AndHe he brought Simeon out untoto them.
43:24	AndThe the man brought the men into Josephs house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet;. andHe he gave their assesdonkeys provenderfodder.
43:25	AndThey theyprepared made ready the present againstfor Josephs coming at noon:, for they heard that they should eat bread there.
43:26	AndWhen when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed down themselves todown him to the earth before him.
43:27	AndHe he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom yeyou spakespoke? Is he yet alive?
43:28	AndThey they said, ThyYour servant, our father, is well,. heHe is yetstill alive. AndThey they bowed thedown head, and made obeisancehumbly.
43:29	AndHe he lifted up his eyes, and saw Benjamin, his brother, his mothers son, and said, Is this your youngest brother, of whom yeyou spakespoke untoto me? AndHe he said, God be gracious untoto theeyou, my son.
43:30	And Joseph madehurried, haste; for his heart yearned over his brother:; and he sought wherea place to weep;. andHe he entered into his chamberroom, and wept there.
43:31	AndHe he washed his face, and came out;. andHe hecontrolled refrained himself, and said, SetServe onthe breadmeal.
43:32	AndThey theyserved set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, thatwho didate eat with him, by themselves:, because the Egyptians mightdont not eat bread with the Hebrews;, for that is an abomination untoto the Egyptians.
43:33	AndThey they sat before him, the firstfirstborn born according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth:, and the men marvelledmarveled with one with another.
43:34	AndHe he took and sent messesportions untoto them from before him:, but Benjamins messportion was five times soas much as any of theirs. AndThey they drank, and were merry with him.
44:1	AndHe he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the mens sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put everyeach mans money in his sacks mouth.
44:2	AndPut put my cup, the silver cup, in the sacks mouth of the youngest, andwith his grain money. AndHe he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
44:3	As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their assesdonkeys.
44:4	AndWhen when they werehad gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said untoto his steward, Up, follow after the men;. andWhen whenyou thou dost overtake them, sayask unto them, WhereforeWhy have yeyou rewarded evil for good?
44:5	IsIsnt not this that infrom which my Lord drinkethdrinks, and wherebyby which he indeed divinethdivines? yeYou have done evil in so doing.
44:6	AndHe he overtook them, and he spakespoke untothese themwords theseto wordsthem.
44:7	AndThey they said untoto him, WhereforeWhy speakethdoes my Lord speak such words as these? Far be it from thyyour servants that they should do such a thing.!
44:8	Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks mouths, we brought again untoto theeyou out of the land of Canaan:. howHow then should we steal silver or gold out of thyyour Lords house silver or gold?
44:9	With whomsoeverwhomever of thyyour servants it beis found, let him die, and we also will be my Lords bondmenslaves.
44:10	AndHe he said, Now also let it be according untoto your words:. heHe with whom it is found shallwill be my bondmanslave; and yeyou shallwill be blameless.
44:11	Then they hastedhurried, and tookeach downman everytook man his sack down to the ground, and openedeach every man opened his sack.
44:12	AndHe he searched, andbeginning beganwith at the eldestoldest, and leftending off at the youngest:. andThe the cup was found in Benjamins sack.
44:13	Then they renttore their clothes, and ladedeach every man loaded his assdonkey, and returned to the city.
44:14	And Judah and his brethrenbrothers came to Josephs house;, and he was yetstill there:. andThey they fell before him on the ground before him.
44:15	And Joseph said untoto them, What deed is this that yeyou have done? knowDont yeyou notknow that such a man as I can indeed divinedo divination?
44:16	And Judah said, What shallwill we saytell unto my Lord? whatWhat shallwill we speak? orHow howwill shall we clear ourselves? God hathhas found out the iniquity of thyyour servants:. beholdBehold, we are my Lords bondmenslaves, both we, and he also in whose hand the cup is found.
44:17	AndHe he said, Far be it from me that I should do so:. theThe man in whose hand the cup is found, he shallwill be my bondmanslave; but as for you, getgo you up in peace untoto your father.
44:18	Then Judah came near untoto him, and said, Oh, my Lord, please let thyyour servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my Lords ears, and dont let notyour thine anger burn against thyyour servant; for thouyou artare even as Pharaoh.
44:19	My Lord asked his servants, saying, Have yeyou a father, or a brother?
44:20	AndWe we said untoto my Lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother; and his father lovethloves him.
44:21	AndYou thousaid saidstto untoyour thy servants, Bring him down untoto me, that I may set minemy eyes uponon him.
44:22	AndWe we said untoto my Lord, The ladboy cannotcant leave his father:, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
44:23	AndYou thousaid saidstto untoyour thy servants, ExceptUnless your youngest brother comecomes down with you, yeyou shallwill see my face no more.
44:24	AndWhen it came to pass when we came up untoto thyyour servant my father, we told him the words of my Lord.
44:25	AndOur our father said, Go again, and buy us a little food.
44:26	AndWe we said, We cannotcant go down:. ifIf our youngest brother beis with us, then we will we go down;: for we may not see the mans face, exceptunless our youngest brother beis with us.
44:27	AndYour thy servant, my father, said untoto us, YeYou know that my wife barebore me two sons:.
44:28	andOne the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces; and I havehavent not seen him since:.
44:29	andIf ifyou ye take this one also from me, and harm befallhappens to him, yeyou will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.
44:30	Now therefore when I come to thyyour servant my father, and the ladboy is not with us; seeingsince that his life is bound up in the ladsboys life;
44:31	it will come to passhappen, when he seethsees that the ladboy is notno with usmore, that he will die:. andYour thy servants will bring down the gray hairs of thyyour servant, our father, with sorrow to Sheol.
44:32	For thyyour servant became suretycollateral for the ladboy untoto my father, saying, If I dont bring him notto unto theeyou, then shall I will bear the blame to my father for everforever.
44:33	Now therefore, please let thyyour servant, Istay pray thee, abide instead of the ladboy, amy bondmanLords to my Lordslave; and let the ladboy go up with his brethrenbrothers.
44:34	For how shallwill I go up to my father, if the ladboy beisnt not with me? ?—lest I see the evil that shallwill come on my father.
45:1	Then Joseph couldcouldnt notcontrol refrain himself before all themthose thatwho stood bybefore him;, and he criedcalled out, Cause everyeveryone man to go out from me.! AndNo thereone else stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known untoto his brethrenbrothers.
45:2	AndHe he wept aloud:. andThe the Egyptians heard, and the house of Pharaoh heard.
45:3	And Joseph said untoto his brethrenbrothers, I am Joseph;! dothDoes my father yetstill live? AndHis hisbrothers brethrencouldnt could not answer him; for they were troubledterrified at his presence.
45:4	And Joseph said untoto his brethrenbrothers, Come near to me, I pray youplease. AndThey they came near. AndHe he said, I am Joseph, your brother, whom yeyou sold into Egypt.
45:5	AndNow nowdont be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that yeyou sold me hither:here, for God didsent send me before you to preserve life.
45:6	For these two years hath the famine has been in the land:, and there are yet five years, in which there shallwill be neitherno plowing norand no harvest.
45:7	And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance.
45:8	So now it waswasnt not you thatwho sent me hitherhere, but God:, and he hathhas made me a father to Pharaoh, and Lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
45:9	Haste yeHurry, and go up to my father, and saytell unto him, ThusThis saithis thywhat your son Joseph says, God hathhas made me Lord of all Egypt:. comeCome down untoto me,. tarryDont not;wait.
45:10	andYou thoushall shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thouyou shaltwill be near untoto me, thouyou, andyour thy children, andyour thy childrens children, andyour thy flocks, andyour thy herds, and all that thouyou hast:have.
45:11	andThere thereI will Iprovide nourishfor theeyou; for there are yet five years of famine; lest thouyou come to poverty, thouyou, and thyyour household, and all that thouyou hasthave.
45:12	AndBehold, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speakethspeaks untoto you.
45:13	AndYou ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that yeyou have seen:. andYou ye shall hastehurry and bring down my father hitherdown here.
45:14	AndHe he fell uponon his brother Benjamins neck, and wept;, and Benjamin wept uponon his neck.
45:15	AndHe he kissed all his brethrenbrothers, and wept uponon them:. andAfter after that his brethrenbrothers talked with him.
45:16	AndThe the report thereofof it was heard in Pharaohs house, saying, Josephs brethrenbrothers arehave come:. andIt it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.
45:17	And Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, SayTell untoyour thy brethrenbrothers, ThisDo do yethis: ladeLoad your beastsanimals, and go, gettravel youto unto the land of Canaan;.
45:18	andTake take your father and your households, and come untoto me:, and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and yeyou shallwill eat the fat of the land.
45:19	Now thouyou artare commanded, thisto do yethis: takeTake you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
45:20	Also, regarddont notconcern yourselves about your stuff;belongings, for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.
45:21	AndThe the sons of Israel did so:. and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
45:22	ToHe allgave each one of them he gave each man changes of raiment;clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raimentclothing.
45:23	AndHe sent the following to his father he sent after this manner: ten assesdonkeys ladenloaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten shefemale assesdonkeys ladenloaded with grain and bread and provision for his father by the way.
45:24	So he sent his brethrenbrothers away, and they departed:. andHe he said untoto them, See that yeyou falldont notquarrel outon by the way.
45:25	AndThey they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan, untoto Jacob their father.
45:26	AndThey they told him, saying, Joseph is yetstill alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt. AndHis his heart fainted, for he believeddidnt believe them not.
45:27	AndThey they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said untoto them:. andWhen when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob, their father, revived:.
45:28	and Israel said, It is enough;. Joseph my son is yetstill alive:. I will go and see him before I die.
46:1	And Israel tooktraveled his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer shebaBeersheba, and offered sacrifices untoto the God of his father, Isaac.
46:2	And God spakespoke untoto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob.! AndHe he said, Here I am I.
46:3	AndHe he said, I am God, the God of thyyour father:. fearDont notbe afraid to go down into Egypt;, for there I will there make of theeyou a great nation:.
46:4	I will go down with theeyou into Egypt;. and I will also surely bring theeyou up again:. andJosephs Josephhand shallwill putclose hisyour hand upon thine eyes.
46:5	And Jacob rose up from BeerBeersheba, sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
46:6	AndThey they took their cattlelivestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, —Jacob, and all his seedoffspring with him:,
46:7	his sons, and his sons sons with him, his daughters, and his sons daughters, and he brought all his seedoffspring brought he with him into Egypt.
46:8	AndThese these are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacobs first bornfirstborn.
46:9	AndThe the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, and Pallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
46:10	AndThe the sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a CanaanitishCanaanite woman.
46:11	AndThe the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
46:12	AndThe the sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. AndThe the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
46:13	AndThe the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puvah, and Iob, and Shimron.
46:14	AndThe the sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
46:15	These are the sons of Leah, whom she barebore untoto Jacob in Paddan aramAram, with his daughter Dinah:. allAll the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
46:16	AndThe the sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
46:17	AndThe the sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and Serah their sister;. andThe the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel.
46:18	These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah, his daughter;, and these she barebore untoto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
46:19	The sons of Rachel, Jacobs wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
46:20	AndTo unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of PotiPotiphera, phera priest of On, barebore untoto him.
46:21	AndThe the sons of Benjamin: Bela, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
46:23	AndThe theson sons of Dan: Hushim.
46:24	AndThe the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
46:25	These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave untoto Rachel, his daughter, and these she barebore untoto Jacob: all the souls were seven.
46:26	All the souls thatwho came with Jacob into Egypt, thatwho camewere outhis ofdirect his loinsoffspring, besidesin addition to Jacobs sons wives, all the souls were threescoresixty and six;.
46:27	andThe the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls:. allAll the souls of the house of Jacob, thatwho came into Egypt, were threescore and tenseventy.
46:28	AndJacob he sent Judah before him untoto Joseph, to show the way before him untoto Goshen;, and they came into the land of Goshen.
46:29	And Joseph madeprepared ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, toin Goshen;. andHe he presented himself untoto him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
46:30	And Israel said untoto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thyyour face, that thouyou artare yetstill alive.
46:31	And Joseph said untoto his brethrenbrothers, and untoto his fathers house, I will go up, and tellspeak with Pharaoh, and will saytell unto him, My brethrenbrothers, and my fathers house, who were in the land of Canaan, arehave come untoto me;.
46:32	andThese the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of cattle;livestock, and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
46:33	AndIt itwill shall come to passhappen, when Pharaoh shallsummons call you, and shallwill say, What is your occupation?
46:34	that yeyou shall say, ThyYour servants have been keepers of cattlelivestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers: that yeyou may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination untoto the Egyptians.
47:1	Then Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethrenbrothers, andwith their flocks, and their herds, and all that they haveown, arehave come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
47:2	AndFrom from among his brethrenbrothers he took five men, and presented them untoto Pharaoh.
47:3	And Pharaoh said untoto his brethrenbrothers, What is your occupation? AndThey they said untoto Pharaoh, ThyYour servants are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.
47:4	AndThey theyalso said untoto Pharaoh, ToWe sojournhave come to live as foreigners in the land, are we come; for there is no pasture for thyyour servants flocks;. forFor the famine is soresevere in the land of Canaan:. nowNow therefore, weplease pray thee, let thyyour servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
47:5	And Pharaoh spakespoke untoto Joseph, saying, ThyYour father and thyyour brethrenbrothers arehave come untoto thee:you.
47:6	theThe land of Egypt is before thee;you. Make your father and your brothers dwell in the best of the land. makeLet thythem father and thy brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen. letIf themyou dwell:know and if thou knowest any able men among them, then makeput them rulersin overcharge of my cattlelivestock.
47:7	And Joseph brought in Jacob, his father, and set him before Pharaoh:; and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
47:8	And Pharaoh said untoto Jacob, How manyold are the days of the years of thy lifeyou?
47:9	And Jacob said untoto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are aone hundred and thirty years:. fewThe and evil have been the days of the years of my life, have been few and theyevil. They have not attained untoto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.
47:10	And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.
47:11	And Joseph placed his father and his brethrenbrothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
47:12	And Joseph nourishedprovided his father, and his brethrenbrothers, and all of his fathers household, with bread, according to the sizes of their families.
47:13	AndThere there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very soresevere, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
47:14	And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaohs house.
47:15	AndWhen when the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came untoto Joseph, and said, Give us bread:, for why should we die in thyyour presence? forFor our money failethfails.
47:16	And Joseph said, Give me your cattlelivestock; and I will give you food for your cattlelivestock, if your money failis gone.
47:17	AndThey they brought their cattlelivestock untoto Joseph;, and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for the assesdonkeys: and he fed them with bread in exchange for all their cattlelivestock for that year.
47:18	AndWhen when that year was ended, they came untoto him the second year, and said untoto him, We will not hide from my Lord, how that our money is all spent;, and the herds of cattlelivestock are my Lords;. thereThere is noughtnothing left in the sight of my Lord, but our bodies, and our lands:.
47:19	whereforeWhy should we die before thineyour eyes, both we and our land? buyBuy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants untoto Pharaoh:. andGive give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land wont be not desolate.
47:20	So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh;, for every man of the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine was soresevere uponon them:, and the land became Pharaohs.
47:21	AndAs as for the people, he removedmoved them to the cities from one end of the border of Egypt even to the other end thereofof it.
47:22	Only he didnt buy the land of the priests, bought he not: for the priests had a portion from Pharaoh, and didate eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them;. whereforeThat is why they solddidnt notsell their land.
47:23	Then Joseph said untoto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land today for Pharaoh:. loBehold, here is seed for you, and yeyou shall sow the land.
47:24	AndIt itwill shallhappen come to pass at the ingatheringsharvests, that yeyou shall give a fifth untoto Pharaoh, and four parts shallwill be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.
47:25	AndThey they said, ThouYou hasthave saved our lives:! letLet us find favor in the sight of my Lord, and we will be Pharaohs servants.
47:26	And Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt untoto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth;. onlyOnly the land of the priests alone becamedidnt notbecome Pharaohs.
47:27	And Israel dweltlived in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen; and they gatgot themthemselves possessions therein, and were fruitful, and multiplied exceedingly.
47:28	And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years:. soSo the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were aone hundred forty and seven years.
47:29	AndThe the time drewcame near that Israel must die:, and he called his son Joseph, and said untoto him, If now I have found favor in thyyour sight, please put, Iyour pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me:. Please dont bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt;,
47:30	but when I sleep with my fathers, thouyou shaltshall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burying place. AndJoseph he said, I will do as thouyou hasthave said.
47:31	AndIsrael he said, Swear untoto me:, and he swareswore untoto him. AndThen Israel bowed himself uponon the beds head.
48:1	AndAfter it came to pass after these things, thatsomeone one said to Joseph, Behold, thyyour father is sick:. andHe he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
48:2	AndSomeone one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thyyour son Joseph comethcomes untoto thee:you, and Israel strengthened himself, and sat uponon the bed.
48:3	And Jacob said untoto Joseph, God Almighty appeared untoto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
48:4	and said untoto me, Behold, I will make theeyou fruitful, and multiply theeyou, and I will make of theeyou a company of peoples, and will give this land to thyyour seedoffspring after theeyou for an everlasting possession.
48:5	AndNow nowyour thy two sons, who were born untoto theeyou in the land of Egypt before I came untoto theeyou into Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh, even as Reuben and Simeon, shallwill be mine.
48:6	AndYour thy issueoffspring, thatwhom thouyou begettestbecome the father of after them, shallwill be thine;yours. theyThey shallwill be called after the name of their brethrenbrothers in their inheritance.
48:7	AndAs as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died bybeside me in the land of Canaan inon the way, when there was still some distance to come untoto Ephrath:, and I buried her there inon the way to Ephrath thealso samecalled is Beth lehemBethlehem.
48:8	And Israel beheldsaw Josephs sons, and said, Who are these?
48:9	And Joseph said untoto his father, They are my sons, whom God hathhas given me here. AndHe he said, BringPlease bring them, Ito pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.
48:10	Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he couldcouldnt notsee seewell. AndJoseph he brought them near untoto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.
48:11	And Israel said untoto Joseph, I haddidnt notthink thoughtI towould see thyyour face:, and, lobehold, God hathhas let me see thyyour seedoffspring also.
48:12	And Joseph brought them out from between his knees;, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.
48:13	And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israels left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israels right hand, and brought them near untoto him.
48:14	And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it uponon Ephraims head, who was the younger, and his left hand uponon Manassehs head, guiding his hands wittingly;knowingly, for Manasseh was the first bornfirstborn.
48:15	AndHe he blessed Joseph, and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walkwalked, the God who hathhas fed me all my life long untoto this day,
48:16	the angel who hathhas redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads;, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;. andLet let them grow into a multitude inupon the midst of the earth.
48:17	AndWhen when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand uponon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him:. andHe he held up his fathers hand, to remove it from Ephraims head untoto Manassehs head.
48:18	And Joseph said untoto his father, Not so, my father;, for this is the firstfirstborn. born;Put putyour thy right hand uponon his head.
48:19	AndHis his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know. it;He he also shallwill become a people, and he also shallwill be great:. howbeitHowever, his younger brother shallwill be greater than he, and his seedoffspring shallwill become a multitude of nations.
48:20	AndHe he blessed them that day, saying, InIsrael thee will Israelbless blessin your name, saying, God make theeyou as Ephraim and as Manasseh: andHe he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
48:21	And Israel said untoto Joseph, Behold, I die:am dying, but God will be with you, and bring you again untoto the land of your fathers.
48:22	Moreover I have given to theeyou one portion above thyyour brethrenbrothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
49:1	And Jacob called untoto his sons, and said: Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shallwill befallhappen to you in the latterdays daysto come.
49:2	Assemble yourselves, and hear, yeyou sons of Jacob;. AndListen hearkento unto Israel, your father.
49:3	Reuben, thouyou artare my first bornfirstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength;, Theexcelling prein eminence of dignity, and theexcelling prein eminence of power.
49:4	Boiling over aslike water, thouyou shaltshall not haveexcel, thebecause preyou eminence;went Because thou wentest up to thyyour fathers bed;, Thenthen defiledstdefiled thou it:. heHe went up to my couch.
49:5	Simeon and Levi are brethren;brothers. WeaponsTheir ofswords violence are theirweapons swordsof violence.
49:6	OMy my soul, dont come not thou into their council;. UntoMy their assemblyglory, mydont glory, be notunited thouto unitedtheir assembly; Forfor in their anger they slewkilled amen. man,In And in their self will they hockedhamstrung an oxcattle.
49:7	Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; Andand their wrath, for it was cruel:. I will divide them in Jacob, Andand scatter them in Israel.
49:8	Judah, theeyour shallbrothers thywill brethren praise: Thyyou. Your hand shallwill be on the neck of thineyour enemies;. ThyYour fathers sons shallwill bow down before theeyou.
49:9	Judah is a lions whelp;cub. From the prey, my son, thouyou arthave gone up:. He stooped down, he couchedcrouched as a lion, And as a lioness;. whoWho shallwill rouse him up?
49:10	The sceptrescepter shallwill not depart from Judah, Nornor the rulers staff from between his feet, Untiluntil Shilohhe come;comes Andto untowhom himit shallbelongs. theThe obedience of the peoples will be to him.

50:7	And Joseph went up to bury his father; and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt,
50:8	and all the house of Joseph, and his brethrenbrothers, and his fathers house:. onlyOnly their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen.
50:9	AndBoth therechariots and horsemen went up with him. bothIt chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company.

50:15	AndWhen when Josephs brethrenbrothers saw that their father was dead, they said, It may be that Joseph will hate us, and will fully requitepay us back for all the evil which we did untoto him.
50:16	AndThey they sent a message untoto Joseph, saying, ThyYour father didcommanded command before he died, saying,
50:17	SoYou shall yetell say unto Joseph, Forgive,Now Iplease prayforgive thee now, the transgressiondisobedience of thyyour brethrenbrothers, and their sin, forbecause that they did untoevil theeto evilyou. And nowNow, weplease pray thee, forgive the transgressiondisobedience of the servants of the God of thyyour father. And Joseph wept when they spakespoke untoto him.
50:18	AndHis hisbrothers brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we are thyyour servants.
50:19	And Joseph said untoto them, FearDont not:be afraid, for am I in the place of God?
50:20	AndAs as for you, yeyou meant evil against me;, but God meant it for good, to bringsave tomany passpeople alive, as it is thishappening day, to save much people alivetoday.
50:21	Now therefore feardont yebe not:afraid. I will nourishprovide for you, and your little ones. AndHe he comforted them, and spakespoke kindly untoto them.
50:22	And Joseph dweltlived in Egypt, he, and his fathers house:. and Joseph lived aone hundred and ten years.
50:23	And Joseph saw Ephraims children ofto the third generation:. theThe children also of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were born uponon Josephs knees.
50:24	And Joseph said untoto his brethrenbrothers, I die;am dying, but God will surely visit you, and bring you up out of this land untoto the land which he swareswore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
50:25	And Joseph took an oath offrom the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and yeyou shall carry up my bones from hencehere.
50:26	So Joseph died, being aone hundred and ten years old:, and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.
