1:1	That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheldsaw, and our hands handledtouched, concerning the Word of life
1:2	and the life was manifestedrevealed, and we have seen, and bear witnesstestify, and declare untoto you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifestedrevealed untoto us;
1:3	that which we have seen and heard we declare weto unto you also, that yeyou also may have fellowship with us:. yeaYes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ:.
1:4	andAnd we write these things weto writeyou, that our joy may be made fullfulfilled.
1:5	AndThis this is the message which we have heard from him and announce untoto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1:6	If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and dodont nottell the truth:.
1:7	butBut if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleansethcleanses us from all sin.
1:9	If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us ourthe sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1:10	If we say that we havehavent not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
2:1	My little children, I write these things writeto Iyou untoso you that yeyou may not sin. AndIf ifanyone any man sinsins, we have ana AdvocateCounselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous:.
2:2	andAnd he is the propitiationatoning sacrifice for our sins;, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
2:3	AndThis herebyis how we know that we know him,: if we keep his commandments.
2:4	HeOne thatwho saithsays, I know him, and keepethdoesnt notkeep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isisnt not in him;.
2:5	butBut whosoGods keepethlove hishas word,most incertainly himbeen verilyperfected hathin thewhoever lovekeeps ofhis Godword. beenThis perfected.is Herebyhow we know that we are in him:
2:6	he thatwho saithsays he abidethremains in him ought himself also to walk evenjust aslike he walked.
2:7	BelovedBrothers, I write no new commandment writeto I unto you, but an old commandment which yeyou had from the beginning:. theThe old commandment is the word which yeyou heard from the beginning.
2:8	Again, I write a new commandment writeto I unto you, which thing is true in him and in you;, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shinethshines.
2:9	He thatwho saithsays he is in the light and hatethhates his brother, is in the darkness even until now.
2:10	He thatwho lovethloves his brother abidethremains in the light, and there is no occasion offor stumbling in him.
2:11	But he thatwho hatethhates his brother is in the darkness, and walkethwalks in the darkness, and knowethdoesnt notknow whitherwhere he goethis going, because the darkness hathhas blinded his eyes.
2:12	I write untoto you, my little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his names sake.
2:13	I write untoto you, fathers, because yeyou know him who is from the beginning. I write untoto you, young men, because yeyou have overcome the evil one. I havewrite writtento unto you, little children, because yeyou know the Father.
2:14	I have written untoto you, fathers, because yeyou know him who is from the beginning. I have written untoto you, young men, because yeyou are strong, and the word of God abidethremains in you, and yeyou have overcome the evil one.
2:15	LoveDont notlove the world, neitheror the things that are in the world. If anyanyone manloves love the world, the Fathers love ofisnt the Father is not in him.
2:16	For all that is in the world, —the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the vainglorypride of life,—isnt is not of the FatherFathers, but is of the worldworlds.
2:17	AndThe the world passethis passing away, andwith theits lustlusts, thereof: but he thatwho doethdoes theGods will ofremains God abideth for everforever.
2:18	Little children, itthese isare the lastend hour:times, and as yeyou heard that antichristthe comethAntichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have there arisen. manyBy antichrists;this whereby we know that it is the lastfinal hour.
2:19	They went out from us, but they weredidnt notbelong ofto us; for if they had beenbelonged ofto us, they would have continued with us:. butBut they went outleft, that they might be maderevealed manifest that theynone allof arethem notbelong ofto us.
2:20	AndYou ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and yeyou know all thingshave knowledge.
2:21	I have not written untoto you because yeyou dont know not the truth, but because yeyou know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
2:22	Who is the liar but he thatwho deniethdenies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichristAntichrist, even he thatwho deniethdenies the Father and the Son.
2:23	WhosoeverWhoever deniethdenies the Son, thedoesnt samehave hath not the Father:. heHe thatwho confessethconfesses the Son hathhas the Father also.
2:24	AsTherefore, as for you, let that abideremain in you which yeyou heard from the beginning. If that which yeyou heard from the beginning abideremains in you, yeyou also shallwill abideremain in the Son, and in the Father.
2:25	AndThis this is the promise which he promised us, even the eternal life eternal.
2:26	These things I have I written untoto you concerning themthose thatwho would lead you astray.
2:27	AndAs as for you, the anointing which yeyou received offrom him abidethremains in you, and yeyou dont need notfor thatanyone anyto one teach you;. butBut as his anointing teachethteaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, yeyou abidewill remain in him.
2:28	And nowNow, my little children, abideremain in him;, that, ifwhen he shall be manifestedappears, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
2:29	If yeyou know that he is righteous, yeyou know that everyeveryone onewho alsopractices thatrighteousness doethhas righteousnessbeen isborn begotten of him.
3:1	BeholdSee whathow mannergreat ofa love the Father hathhas bestowedgiven uponto us, that we should be called children of God;! and such we are. For this cause the world knowethdoesnt know us not, because it knewdidnt know him not.
3:2	Beloved, now we are we children of God,. andIt it is not yet maderevealed manifest what we shallwill be.; Webut we know that, ifwhen he shallis be manifestedrevealed, we shallwill be like him;, for we shallwill see him evenjust as he is.
3:3	AndEveryone everywho onehas that hath this hope set on him purifiethpurifies himself, even as he is pure.
3:4	EveryEveryone onewho thatsins doethalso sincommits doeth also lawlessness;. andSin sin is lawlessness.
3:5	AndYou ye know that he was manifestedrevealed to take away our sins;, and inno himsin is noin sinhim.
3:6	WhosoeverWhoever abidethremains in him sinnethdoesnt not:sin. whosoeverWhoever sinnethsins hathhasnt not seen him, neitherand knowethdoesnt know him.
3:7	MyLittle little children, let no manone lead you astray:. heHe thatwho doethdoes righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous:.
3:8	heHe thatwho doethsins sin is of the devil;, for the devil sinnethhas been sinning from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested,was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.
3:9	WhosoeverWhoever is begottenborn of God doethdoesnt nocommit sin, because his seed abidethremains in him:, and he cannotcant sin, because he is begottenborn of God.
3:10	In this the children of God are manifestrevealed, and the children of the devil:. whosoeverWhoever doethdoesnt notdo righteousness is not of God, neither is he thatwho lovethdoesnt notlove his brother.
3:11	For this is the message which yeyou heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:—
3:12	notunlike as Cain, who was of the evil one, and slewkilled his brother. AndWhy whereforedid slew he kill him? Because his worksdeeds were evil, and his brothers righteous.
3:13	MarvelDont notbe surprised, brethrenmy brothers, if the world hatethhates you.
3:14	We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethrenbrothers. He thatwho lovethdoesnt notlove abidethhis brother remains in death.
3:15	WhosoeverWhoever hatethhates his brother is a murderer:, and yeyou know that no murderer hathhas eternal life abidingremaining in him.
3:16	HerebyBy knowthis we know love, because he laid down his life for us:. andAnd we ought to lay down our lives for the brethrenbrothers.
3:17	But whosowhoever hathhas the worlds goods, and beholdethsees his brother in need, andthen shuttethcloses up his heart of compassion fromagainst him, how dothdoes theGods love ofremain God abide in him?
3:18	My little children, letlets us not love in word only, neitheror with the tongue; only, but in deed and truth.
3:19	HerebyAnd shallby this we know that we are of the truth, and shallpersuade assure our hearthearts before him:,
3:20	because if our heart condemncondemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knowethknows all things.
3:21	Beloved, if our hearthearts dont condemn us not, we have boldness toward God;
3:22	andso whatsoeverwhatever we ask, we receive offrom him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
3:23	AndThis this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he gave us commandmentcommanded.
3:24	AndHe hewho thatkeeps keepeth his commandments abidethremains in him, and he in him. AndBy herebythis we know that he abidethremains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
4:1	Beloved, dont believe not every spirit, but provetest the spirits, whether they are of God;, because many false prophets arehave gone out into the world.
4:2	HerebyBy this you know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit thatwho confessethconfesses that Jesus Christ ishas come in the flesh is of God:,
4:3	and every spirit thatwho confessethdoesnt notconfess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God:; and this is the spirit of the antichristAntichrist, whereofof yewhom you have heard that it cometh;comes. andNow now it is in the world already.
4:4	YeYou are of God, my little children, and have overcome them:, because greater is he thatwho is in you than he thatwho is in the world.
4:5	They are of the world:. thereforeTherefore speak they asspeak of the world, and the world hearethhears them.
4:6	We are of God:. heHe thatwho knowethknows God hearethlistens to us;. heHe who is not of God hearethdoesnt listen to us not. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
4:7	Beloved, letlets us love one another:, for love is of God; and everyeveryone onewho thatloves lovethhas isbeen begottenborn of God, and knowethknows God.
4:8	He thatwho lovethdoesnt notlove knowethdoesnt notknow God;, for God is love.
4:9	HereinBy wasthis theGods love ofwas Godrevealed manifested in us, that God hathhas sent his only begottenborn Son into the world that we might live through him.
4:10	HereinIn this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son toas be the propitiationatoning sacrifice for our sins.
4:11	Beloved, if God so loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
4:12	No manone hathhas beheldseen God at any time:. ifIf we love one another, God abidethremains in us, and his love ishas been perfected in us:.
4:13	herebyBy this we know that we abideremain in him and he in us, because he hathhas given us of his Spirit.
4:14	AndWe we have beheldseen and beartestify witness that the Father hathhas sent the Son toas be the SaviourSavior of the world.
4:15	WhosoeverWhoever shallconfesses confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abidethremains in him, and he in God.
4:16	AndWe we know and have believed the love which God hathhas infor us. God is love;, and he thatwho abidethremains in love abidethremains in God, and God abidethremains in him.
4:17	HereinIn isthis, love has been made perfect withamong us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment;, because as he is, even so we are we in this world.
4:18	There is no fear in love:; but perfect love castethcasts out fear, because fear hathhas punishment;. andHe hewho thatfears feareth is not made perfect in love.
4:19	We love him, because he first loved us.
4:20	If a man saysays, I love God, and hatethhates his brother, he is a liar:; for he thatwho lovethdoesnt notlove his brother whom he hathhas seen, cannothow can he love God whom he hathhas not seen.?
4:21	AndThis this commandment we have we from him, that he who lovethloves God should also love his brother also.
5:1	WhosoeverWhoever believethbelieves that Jesus is the Christ ishas begottenbeen born of God:. andWhoever whosoeverloves loveththe himFather thatalso begatloves loveththe himchild alsowho that is begottenborn of him.
5:2	HerebyBy this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and dokeep his commandments.
5:3	For this is theloving love of God, that we keep his commandments:. andHis his commandments are not grievous.
5:4	For whatsoeverwhatever is begottenborn of God overcomethovercomes the world:. andThis this is the victory that hathhas overcome the world,: evenyour our faith.
5:5	AndWho who is he thatwho overcomethovercomes the world, but he thatwho believethbelieves that Jesus is the Son of God?
5:6	This is he thatwho came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
5:7	AndFor itthere isare thethree Spiritwho that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.testify:
5:8	For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood:; and the three agree inas one.
5:9	If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:; for thethis witnessis ofGods Godtestimony iswhich this, that he hathhas bornetestified witness concerning his Son.
5:10	He thatwho believethbelieves onin the Son of God hathhas the witnesstestimony in him:himself. heHe thatwho believethdoesnt notbelieve God hathhas made him a liar;, because he hathhas not believed in the witnesstestimony that God hathhas bornegiven concerning his Son.
5:11	AndThe thetestimony witness is this,: that God gave untoto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
5:12	He thatwho hathhas the Son hathhas the life;. heHe thatwho hathdoesnt nothave theGods Son ofdoesnt Godhave hath not the life.
5:13	These things I have I written untoto you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that yeyou may know that yeyou have eternal life, evenand untothat you thatmay continue to believe onin the name of the Son of God.
5:14	AndThis this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hearethlistens to us:.
5:15	andAnd if we know that he hearethlistens to us, whatsoeverwhatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
5:16	If anyanyone mansees see his brother sinning a sin not untoleading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for themthose thatwho sin not untoleading to death. There is a sin untoleading to death:. notI concerningdont this do I say that he should make a request concerning this.
5:17	All unrighteousness is sin:, and there is a sin not untoleading to death.
5:18	We know that whosoeverwhoever is begottenborn of God sinnethdoesnt not;sin, but he thatwho was begottenborn of God keepethkeeps himself, and the evil one touchethdoesnt touch him not.
5:19	We know that we are of God, and the whole world liethlies in the power of the evil one.
5:20	AndWe we know that the Son of God ishas come, and hathhas given us an understanding, that we know him thatwho is true,; and we are in him thatwho is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
5:21	MyLittle little children, guardkeep yourselves from idols.
