21:2 And David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, Go, numbercount Israel from BeerBeersheba sheba even to Dan; and bring me word, that I may know thehow summany ofthere themare.
21:3 And Joab said, JehovahMay Yahweh make his people a hundred times as many as they are:. butBut, my Lord the king, arearent they not all my Lords servants? whyWhy dothdoes my Lord require this thing? whyWhy will he be a cause of guilt untoto Israel?
21:4 Nevertheless the kings word prevailed against Joab. WhereforeTherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, andthen came to Jerusalem.
21:5 And Joab gave up the sum of the numberingcensus of the people untoto David. AndAll allthose they of Israel were aone thousandmillion thousandone and a hundred thousand men thatwho drew a sword:; and in Judah waswere four hundred threescoreseventy and ten thousand men thatwho drew a sword.

21:10 Go and speak untoto David, saying, ThusYahweh saith Jehovahsays, I offer theeyou three things:. chooseChoose thee one of them, that I may do it untoto theeyou.
21:11 So Gad came to David, and said untoto him, ThusYahweh saith Jehovahsays, Take whichyour thou wiltchoice:
21:12 either three years of famine; or three months to be consumed before thyyour foes, while the sword of thineyour enemies overtakethovertakes theeyou; or else three days of the sword of JehovahYahweh, even pestilence in the land, and theYahwehs angel of Jehovah destroying throughout all the borders of Israel. Now therefore consider what answer I shall return to him thatwho sent me.
21:13 And David said untoto Gad, I am in adistress. greatLet strait: let me fall, I pray, into theYahwehs hand, of Jehovah; for veryhis greatmercies are hisvery mercies:great. andDont let me not fall into themans hand of man.
21:14 So JehovahYahweh sent a pestilence uponon Israel;, and thereseventy fellthousand men of Israel seventy thousand menfell.
21:15 And God sent an angel untoto Jerusalem to destroy it:. andAs as he was about to destroy, JehovahYahweh beheldsaw, and he repentedrelented him of the evildisaster, and said to the destroying angel, It is enough;. nowNow staywithdraw thyyour hand. 21:30 But David couldcouldnt not go before it to inquire of God;, for he was afraid because of the sword of theYahwehs angel of Jehovah.
22:1 Then David said, This is the house of JehovahYahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.

22:7 And David said to Solomon his son, As for me, it was in my heart to build a house untoto the name of JehovahYahweh my God.
22:8 But theYahwehs word of Jehovah came to me, saying, ThouYou hasthave shed blood abundantly, and hasthave made great wars:. thouYou shaltshall not build a house untoto my name, because thouyou hasthave shed much blood uponon the earth in my sight.
22:9 Behold, a son shall be born to theeyou, who shall be a man of rest;peace. and I will give him rest from all his enemies roundall aboutaround; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness untoto Israel in his days.
22:10 He shall build a house for my name; and he shallwill be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for everforever.
