They have as king over them as king the angel of the abyss:bottomless pit; his name in Hebrew is AbaddonAbad′don and in the Greek tongue he hathis thecalled name ApollyonApol′lyon |
| 9:12 |
The first Woewoe ishas past:passed; behold theretwo comewoes yetare twostill Woesto hereaftercome |
| 9:13 |
AndThen the sixth angel soundedblew his trumpet and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God |
| 9:14 |
one saying to the sixth angel thatwho had the trumpet LooseRelease the four angels thatwho are bound at the great river EuphratesEuphra′tes |
| 9:15 |
AndSo the four angels were loosedreleased thatwho had been preparedheld ready for the hour andthe day andthe month and the year thatto they should kill thea third part of menmankind |
| 9:16 |
AndThe the number of the armiestroops of thecavalry horsemen was twice ten thousand times ten thousand:; I heard thetheir number of them |
| 9:17 |
And thusthis was how I saw the horses in themy vision: andthe themriders thatwore satbreastplates onthe themcolor having breastplates as of fire and of hyacinthsapphire and of brimstone:sulphur and the heads of the horses arewere aslike thelions heads ofand lions;fire and outsmoke ofand theirsulphur mouthsissued proceedethfrom firetheir andmouths smoke and brimstone |
| 9:18 |
By these three plagues wasa the third part of menmankind was killed by the fire and the smoke and thesulphur brimstoneissuing whichfrom proceeded out of their mouths |
| 9:19 |
For the power of the horses is in their mouthmouths and in their tails:; for their tails are like unto serpents andwith have heads; and withby means of them they hurt wound |
| 9:20 |
AndThe the rest of mankind who were not killed withby these plagues repenteddid not repent of the works of their hands thatnor theygive shouldup notworshiping worship demons and the idols of gold and of silver and ofbronze brass and of stone and of wood; which cancannot neithereither see noror hear noror walk:; |
| 9:21 |
andnor did they repentedrepent not of their murders noror of their sorceries noror of their fornicationimmorality noror of their thefts |
| 10:1 |
AndThen I saw another strongmighty angel coming down outfrom of heaven arrayedwrapped within a cloud; andwith thea rainbow wasover upon his head and his face was aslike the sun and his feetlegs aslike pillars of fire; |
| 10:2 |
andHe he had in his hand a little bookscroll open: andin his hand And he set his right foot uponon the sea and his left uponfoot on the earth;land |
| 10:3 |
and hecalled criedout with a greatloud voice aslike a lion roareth:roaring; and when he criedcalled out the seven thunders utteredsounded their voices |
| 10:4 |
And when the seven thunders utteredhad theirsounded voices I was about to write: andbut I heard a voice from heaven saying Seal up thewhat things which the seven thunders utteredhave said and do not write themit notdown |
| 10:5 |
And the angel thatwhom I saw standing uponon the sea and uponland the earth lifted up his right hand to heaven |
| 10:6 |
and swareswore by him thatwho livethlives for ever and ever who created the heaven and thewhat thingsis thatin areit therein and the earth and thewhat thingsis thatin areit therein and the sea and thewhat thingsis thatin areit therein that there shallshould be delay no longer:more delay |
| 10:7 |
but that in the days of the voicetrumpet ofcall theto seventhbe angelsounded whenby hethe isseventh aboutangel to sound then is finished the mystery of God accordingas to the good tidings which he declaredannounced to his servants the prophets should be fulfilled |
| 10:8 |
AndThen the voice which I had heard from heaven Ispoke heardto itme again speaking with me and saying Go take the bookscroll which is open in the hand of the angel thatwho standethis uponstanding on the sea and uponon the earthland |
| 10:9 |
AndSo I went untoto the angel sayingand untotold him thatto he should give me the little bookscroll; Andand he saithsaid untoto me Take it and eat it up; and it shallwill makebe thy belly bitter butto inyour thystomach mouthbut it shall be sweet as honey in your mouth |
| 10:10 |
And I took the little bookscroll outfrom the hand of the angelsangel hand and ate it up; and it was sweet as honey in my mouth sweetbut as honey: and when I had eaten it my bellystomach was made bitter |
| 10:11 |
And theyI saywas untotold meYou Thou must again prophesy againabout over many peoples and nations and tongues and kings |
| 11:1 |
AndThen thereI was given me a reedmeasuring rod like unto a rod:staff and oneI saidwas told: Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and themthose thatwho worship thereinthere |
| 11:2 |
Andbut do not measure the court whichoutside is without the temple; leave withoutthat andout measure it not; for it hathis been given untoover to the nations: and thethey holywill citytrample shallover theythe treadholy undercity footfor forty and two months |
| 11:3 |
And I will givegrant unto my two witnesses andpower theyto shall prophesy afor one thousand two hundred and threescoresixty days clothed in sackcloth |
| 11:4 |
These are the two olive trees and the two candlestickslampstands standingwhich stand before the Lord of the earth |
| 11:5 |
And if any manone desirethwould toharm hurt them fire proceedethpours outfrom of their mouth and devourethconsumes their enemiesfoes; and if any manone shallwould desireharm to hurt them inthus thishe manneris mustdoomed heto be killed |
| 11:6 |
TheseThey have the power to shut the heavensky that itno rain notmay fall during the days of their prophecy:prophesying and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to smite the earth with every plague as often as they shall desire |
| 11:7 |
And when they shall have finished their testimony the beast that comethascends upfrom outthe ofbottomless thepit abysswill shall make war withupon them and overcomeconquer them and kill them |
| 11:8 |
Andand their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is allegorically called Sodom and Egypt where also their Lord was crucified |
| 11:9 |
AndFor three days and a half men from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations dogaze menat look upon their dead bodies three days and arefuse halfto andlet sufferthem not their dead bodies to be laidplaced in a tomb |
| 11:10 |
Andand theythose thatwho dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry; and theyexchange shallpresents sendbecause giftsthese onetwo toprophets another;had becausebeen thesea twotorment prophetsto tormentedthose themwho that dwell on the earth |
| 11:11 |
AndBut after the three days and a half thedays a breath of life from God entered into them and they stood uponup on their feet; and great fear fell uponon themthose thatwho beheldsaw them |
| 11:12 |
AndThen they heard a greatloud voice from heaven saying untoto them Come up hither And in the sight of their foes they went up intoto heaven in thea cloud; and their enemies beheld them |
| 11:13 |
And inat that hour there was a great earthquake and thea tenth part of the city fell; andseven therethousand people were killed in the earthquake seven thousand persons: and the rest were affrightedterrified and gave glory to the God of heaven |
| 11:14 |
The second Woewoe ishas past:passed; behold the third Woewoe comethis quicklysoon to come |
| 11:15 |
AndThen the seventh angel sounded;blew his trumpet and there followedwere greatloud voices in heaven andsaying they said The kingdom of the world ishas become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever |
| 11:16 |
And the twenty four and twenty elders who sit before God on their thrones before God fell uponon their faces and worshippedworshiped God |
| 11:17 |
saying We give thee thanks Oto thee Lord God the Almighty who art and who wast; becausethat thou hast taken thy great power and didstbegun to reign |
| 11:18 |
AndThe the nations wereraged wrothbut and thy wrath came and the time offor the dead to be judged andfor therewarding time to give their reward to thy servants the prophets and to the saints and tothose themwho that fear thy name theboth small and the great; and tofor destroydestroying themthe thatdestroyers destroyof the earth |
| 11:19 |
AndThen thereGods temple in heaven was opened and the templeark of Godhis thatcovenant is in heaven; and there was seen inwithin his temple the ark of his covenant; and there followedwere lightningsflashes andof lightning voices andpeals thundersof andthunder an earthquake and greatheavy hail |
| 12:1 |
And a great signportent wasappeared seen in heaven: a woman arrayedclothed with the sun andwith the moon under her feet and uponon her head a crown of twelve stars; |
| 12:2 |
and she was with child; and she criethcried out travailing in her pangs of birth and in painanguish tofor bedelivery delivered |
| 12:3 |
And thereanother wasportent seenappeared another sign in heaven:; and behold a great red dragon havingwith seven heads and ten horns and seven diadems upon his heads seven diadems |
| 12:4 |
AndHis his tail drawethswept thedown a third part of the stars of heaven and did cast them to the earth: andAnd the dragon standethstood before the woman thatwho iswas about to bebear delivereda child that when she is delivered he maymight devour her child when she brought it forth; |
| 12:5 |
And she wasbrought deliveredforth of a sonmale achild manone child who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron: andbut her child was caught up untoto God and untoto his throne |
| 12:6 |
Andand the woman fled into the wilderness where she hathhas a place prepared ofby God thatin therewhich theyto maybe nourishnourished herfor aone thousand two hundred and threescoresixty days |
| 12:7 |
AndNow therewar wasarose war in heaven: Michael and his angels goingfighting forthagainst to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels; fought |
| 12:8 |
andbut they prevailedwere notdefeated neitherand there was theirno longer any place foundfor anythem more in heaven |
| 12:9 |
And the great dragon was castthrown down thethat oldancient serpent hewho that is called the Devil and Satan the deceiver of the whole world; —he was castthrown down to the earth and his angels were castthrown down with him |
| 12:10 |
And I heard a greatloud voice in heaven saying Now is come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ: have come for the accuser of our brethren ishas castbeen thrown down who accusethaccuses them day and night before our God day and night |
| 12:11 |
And they overcamehave conquered him becauseby of the blood of the Lamb and becauseby of the word of their testimony; andfor they loved not their lifelives even unto death |
| 12:12 |
ThereforeRejoice rejoicethen O heavensheaven and yeyou that dwell intherein themBut Woewoe forto theyou O earth and for the sea: becausefor the devil ishas gonecome down untoto you havingin great wrath knowingbecause he knows that hehis hathtime butis a short time |
| 12:13 |
And when the dragon saw that he washad castbeen thrown down to the earth he persecutedpursued the woman thatwho broughthad forthborne the manmale child |
| 12:14 |
AndBut therethe werewoman was given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness untoto herthe place where she is to be nourished for a time and times and half a time from the face of the serpent |
| 12:15 |
AndThe the serpent castpoured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman waterto assweep a river that he might cause her to be carried away bywith the streamflood |
| 12:16 |
AndBut the earth helpedcame to the help of the woman and the earth opened herits mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon casthad outpoured offrom his mouth |
| 12:17 |
AndThen the dragon waxedwas wrothangry with the woman and went awayoff to make war withon the rest of her seedoffspring thaton those who keep the commandments of God and holdbear testimony to Jesus And he stood on the testimonysand of Jesus:the sea |
| 13:1 |
and he stood upon the sand of the sea And I saw a beast comingrising up out of the sea havingwith ten horns and seven heads andwith onten hisdiadems hornsupon tenits diademshorns and upona hisblasphemous headsname namesupon ofits blasphemyheads |
| 13:2 |
And the beast whichthat I saw was like unto a leopard andits his feet were aslike the feet of a bearbears and hisits mouth aswas thelike a lions mouth ofAnd ato lion:it and the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority |
| 13:3 |
AndOne I saw one of hisits heads asseemed thoughto ithave hada beenmortal smittenwound untobut death;its andmortal hiswound death stroke was healed: and the whole earth wonderedfollowed after the beast; with wonder |
| 13:4 |
andMen theyworshiped worshipped the dragon becausefor he gavehad given his authority untoto the beast; and they worshippedworshiped the beast saying Who is like unto the beast and who iscan ablefight toagainst war with him it |
| 13:5 |
andAnd therethe beast was given to him a mouth speakinguttering greathaughty things and blasphemies;blasphemous words and thereit was givenallowed to himexercise authority tofor continue forty and two months; |
| 13:6 |
Andit he opened hisits mouth forto utter blasphemies against God toblaspheming blaspheme his name and his tabernacledwelling eventhat themis thatthose who dwell in the heaven |
| 13:7 |
AndAlso it was givenallowed unto him to make war withon the saints and to overcomeconquer them: andAnd thereauthority was given toit him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation |
| 13:8 |
Andand all thatwho dwell on the earth shallwill worship himit every one whose name hathhas not been written frombefore the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that hathwas been slain |
| 13:9 |
If any manone hathhas an ear let him hear : |
| 13:10 |
If any manone is forto captivitybe intotaken captive to captivity he goeth:goes; if any manone shallslays kill with the sword with the sword must he be killedslain Here is a call for the patienceendurance and the faith of the saints |
| 13:11 |
AndThen I saw another beast comingwhich uprose out of the earth; andit he had two horns like unto a lamb and heit spakespoke aslike a dragon |
| 13:12 |
AndIt heexercises exerciseth all the authority of the first beast in hisits sightpresence Andand hemakes maketh the earth and themits thatinhabitants dwell therein to worship the first beast whose deathmortal strokewound was healed |
| 13:13 |
AndIt heworks doeth great signs that he should even makemaking fire to come down outfrom of heaven uponto the earth in the sight of men; |
| 13:14 |
Andand he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by reason of the signs which it wasis givenallowed him to dowork in the sightpresence of the beast; sayingit todeceives themthose thatwho dwell on the earth thatbidding theythem should make an image tofor the beast whowhich hathwas thewounded strokeby of the sword and yet lived; |
| 13:15 |
Andand it was givenallowed unto him to give breath to it even to the image of the beast so that the image of the beast should botheven speak and to cause thatthose aswho manywould as should not worship the image of the beast shouldto be killedslain |
| 13:16 |
AndAlso heit causethcauses all theboth small and the great andboth the rich and the poor andboth the free and theslave bondto that there be givenmarked them a mark on theirthe right hand or uponthe their forehead; |
| 13:17 |
andso that no manone shouldcan be able to buy or to sell saveunless he thathas hath the mark eventhat is the name of the beast or the number of hisits name |
| 13:18 |
HereThis iscalls for wisdom: Helet thathim hathwho has understanding letreckon him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man:human andnumber hisits number is Sixsix hundred and sixty and six |
| 14:1 |
AndThen I sawlooked and beholdlo theon LambMount standingZion onstood the mountLamb Zion and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand havingwho had his name and thehis Fathers name of his Father written on their foreheads |
| 14:2 |
And I heard a voice from heaven aslike the voicesound of many waters and aslike the voicesound of aloud great thunder:; and the voice which I heard was aslike the voicesound of harpers harpingplaying withon their harps: |
| 14:3 |
and they sing as it were a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders: andNo noone man could learn thethat song saveexcept the hundred and forty and four thousand evenwho they that had been purchasedredeemed outfrom of the earth |
| 14:4 |
TheseIt areis theythese thatwho werehave not defiled themselves with women; for they are virginschaste; Theseit areis theythese thatwho follow the Lamb whithersoeverwherever he goethgoes; Thesethese werehave purchasedbeen redeemed from amongmankind menas to be the first fruits untofor God and unto the Lamb |
| 14:5 |
Andand in their mouth no lie was found nofor lie: they are without blemishspotless |
| 14:6 |
AndThen I saw another angel flying in midmidheaven heavenwith havingan eternal goodgospel tidings to proclaim untoto themthose thatwho dwell on the earth andto unto every nation and tribe and tongue and people; |
| 14:7 |
and he saithsaid with a greatloud voice Fear God and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment ishas come:; and worship him thatwho made the heaven and the earth andthe sea and the fountains of waterswater |
| 14:8 |
AndAnother anotherangel a second angel followed saying Fallen fallen is Babylon the great thatshe hathwho made all the nations to drink of the wine of theher wrathimpure of her fornicationpassion |
| 14:9 |
And another angel a third followed them saying with a greatloud voice If any manone worshippethworships the beast and hisits image and receivethreceives a mark on his forehead or uponon his hand |
| 14:10 |
he also shall drink of the wine of theGods wrath ofpoured God which is prepared unmixed ininto the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstonesulphur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb: |
| 14:11 |
andAnd the smoke of their torment goethgoes up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day andor night theythese thatworshipers worshipof the beast and hisits image and whosowhoever receivethreceives the mark of hisits name |
| 14:12 |
Here is a call for the patienceendurance of the saints theythose thatwho keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus |
| 14:13 |
And I heard a voice from heaven saying Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: yeaBlessed saithindeed says the Spirit that they may rest from their labors; for their worksdeeds follow with them |
| 14:14 |
AndThen I sawlooked and beholdlo a white cloud; and seated on the cloud I saw one sitting like unto a son of man havingwith a golden crown on his head and a goldensharp crownsickle and in his hand a sharp sickle |
| 14:15 |
And another angel came out fromof the temple cryingcalling with a greatloud voice to him thatwho sat onupon the cloud SendPut forthin thyyour sickle and reap: for the hour to reap ishas come; for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe |
| 14:16 |
AndSo he thatwho sat onupon the cloud castswung his sickle uponon the earth; and the earth was reaped |
| 14:17 |
And another angel came out fromof the temple which is in heaven and he alsotoo havinghad a sharp sickle |
| 14:18 |
AndThen another angel came out from the altar hethe thatangel hathwho has power over fire; and he called with a greatloud voice to him thatwho had the sharp sickle sayingPut Sendin forthyour thy sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for herits grapes are fully ripe |
| 14:19 |
AndSo the angel castswung his sickle intoon the earth and gathered the vintage of the earth and castthrew it into the winepressgreat thewine greatpress winepress of the wrath of God; |
| 14:20 |
Andand the winepresswine press was trodden withoutoutside the city and thereblood cameflowed out blood from the winepresswine evenpress untoas thehigh bridlesas ofa the horses asbridle farfor asone a thousand and six hundred furlongsstadia |
| 15:1 |
AndThen I saw another signportent in heaven great and marvellouswonderful seven angels havingwith seven plagues which are the last for inwith them is finished the wrath of God is ended |
| 15:2 |
And I saw aswhat itappeared wereto be a sea of glass mingled with fire; and themthose thatwho comehad offconquered victorious from the beast and fromits his image and from the number of hisits name standing bybeside the sea of glass havingwith harps of God in their hands |
| 15:3 |
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb saying Great and marvellouswonderful are thy worksdeeds O Lord God the Almighty; righteousJust and true are thy ways thouO King of the ages |
| 15:4 |
Who shall not fear O Lord and glorify thy name forO Lord For thou onlyalone art holy; forAll all the nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy righteousjudgments acts have been made manifestrevealed |
| 15:5 |
AndAfter afterthis these things I sawlooked and the temple of the tabernacletent of thewitness testimony in heaven was opened: |
| 15:6 |
and there came out fromof the temple came the seven angels thatwith had the seven plagues arrayedrobed within precious stone pure and bright linen and girt about their breasts girded with golden girdles |
| 15:7 |
And one of the four living creatures gave unto the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who livethlives for ever and ever; |
| 15:8 |
Andand the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power; and noneno wasone ablecould to enter into the temple tilluntil the seven plagues of the seven angels shouldwere be finishedended |
| 16:1 |
AndThen I heard a greatloud voice outfrom of the temple sayingtelling to the seven angels Go ye and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God into the earth |
| 16:2 |
AndSo the first angel went and poured out his bowl intoon the earth; and itfoul becameand aevil noisomesores andcame grievous sore upon the men thatwho hadbore the mark of the beast and thatworshiped worshippedits his image |
| 16:3 |
AndThe the second angel poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became like the blood as of a dead man; and every living soulthing died even the things that werewas in the sea |
| 16:4 |
AndThe the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the fountains of thewater waters; and itthey became blood |
| 16:5 |
And I heard the angel of thewater waterssay sayingJust Righteous art thou in these thy judgments thou who art and who wast thouO Holy One because thou didst thus judge: |
| 16:6 |
forFor theymen pouredhave outshed the blood of saints and prophets and bloodthou hast thou given them blood to drink: theyIt areis worthytheir due |
| 16:7 |
And I heard the altar sayingcry Yea O Lord God the Almighty true and righteousjust are thy judgments |
| 16:8 |
AndThe the fourth angel poured out his bowl uponon the sun; and it was givenallowed unto it to scorch men with fire; |
| 16:9 |
And men were scorched withby greatthe fierce heat: and they blasphemedcursed the name of God who hathhad the power over these plagues; and they repenteddid not torepent and give him glory |
| 16:10 |
AndThe the fifth angel poured out his bowl uponon the throne of the beast; and hisits kingdom was darkenedin darkness; andmen they gnawed their tongues forin painanguish |
| 16:11 |
and theycursed blasphemed the God of heaven becausefor of their painspain and their sores; and theydid repented not repent of their worksdeeds |
| 16:12 |
AndThe the sixth angel poured out his bowl uponon the great river theEuphra′tes river Euphrates; and theits water thereof was dried up thatto prepare the way might be made ready for the kings that come from the sunrisingeast |
| 16:13 |
And I saw comingissuing outfrom of the mouth of the dragon and outfrom of the mouth of the beast and outfrom of the mouth of the false prophet three uncleanfoul spirits aslike it were frogs:; |
| 16:14 |
for they are demonic spirits ofperforming demons working signs; whichwho go forthabroad untoto the kings of the whole world to gatherassemble them togetherfor untobattle theon war of the great day of God the Almighty |
| 16:15 |
BeholdLo I comeam ascoming like a thief Blessed is he thatwho watchethis andawake keepethkeeping his garments lestthat he walkmay not go naked and theybe seeseen hisexposed shame |
| 16:16 |
And they gatheredassembled them togetherat into the place which is called in Hebrew Har MagedonArmaged′don |
| 16:17 |
AndThe the seventh angel poured out his bowl uponinto the air; and there came forth a greatloud voice came out of the temple from the throne saying It is done: |
| 16:18 |
andAnd there were lightningsflashes andof lightning voices andpeals thunders;of thunder and there was a great earthquake such as washad notnever been since theremen were menon upon the earth so great anwas that earthquake so mighty |
| 16:19 |
AndThe the great city was dividedsplit into three parts and the cities of the nations fell: and BabylonGod theremembered great wasBabylon remembered in the sight of God to givemake unto her drain the cup of the winefury of the fierceness of his wrath |
| 16:20 |
And every island fled away and theno mountains were notto be found; |
| 16:21 |
Andand great hailhailstones everyheavy stoneas about the weight of a talenthundredweight comethdropped downon outmen offrom heaven upontill men: andcursed men blasphemed God becausefor of the plague of the hail; forso thefearful plaguewas thereofthat is exceeding greatplague |
| 17:1 |
AndThen there came one of the seven angels thatwho had the seven bowls came and spakesaid withto me saying Come hither I will show theeyou the judgment of the great harlot thatwho sittethis seated upon many waters; |
| 17:2 |
with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication and theywith thatthe dwellwine inof thewhose earthfornication werethe madedwellers drunkenon withearth thehave winebecome ofdrunk her fornication |
| 17:3 |
And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting uponon a scarlet colored beast which was full of blasphemous names ofand blasphemyit havinghad seven heads and ten horns |
| 17:4 |
AndThe the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet and deckedbedecked with gold and preciousjewels stone and pearls havingholding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations evenand the uncleanimpurities things of her fornication; |
| 17:5 |
and uponon her forehead was written a name writtenof Mysterymystery: Babylon the Greatgreat themother Mother of theharlots Harlots and of theearths Abominationsabominations of the Earth |
| 17:6 |
And I saw the woman drunkendrunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus AndWhen when I saw her I wonderedmarveled withgreatly a great wonder |
| 17:7 |
AndBut the angel said untoto me WhereforeWhy didstmarvel thou wonder I will tell theeyou the mystery of the woman and of the beast thatwith carrieth her which hath the seven heads and the ten horns that carries her |
| 17:8 |
The beast that thouyou sawestsaw was and is not; and is about to comeascend upfrom outthe ofbottomless thepit abyss and to go intoto perdition; Andand theythe thatdwellers dwell on the earth shall wonder they whose namenames hathhave not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world whenwill theymarvel to behold the beast howbecause thatit he was and is not and shallis to come |
| 17:9 |
HereThis iscalls thefor a mind thatwith hath wisdom: Thethe seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sitteth:is seated; |
| 17:10 |
and they are also seven kings; the five areof whom have fallen the one is the other ishas not yet come; and when he comethcomes he must continueremain only a little while |
| 17:11 |
AndAs for the beast that was and is not it is himself also an eighth andbut isit ofbelongs to the seven; and heit goethgoes intoto perdition |
| 17:12 |
And the ten horns that thouyou sawestsaw are ten kings who have receivednot noyet kingdomreceived asroyal yet;power but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour together with the beast for one hour |
| 17:13 |
These haveare of one mind and they give over their power and authority untoto the beast; |
| 17:14 |
Thesethey shallwill make war againston the Lamb and the Lamb shallwill overcomeconquer them for he is Lord of lords and King of kings; and theythose alsowith shallhim overcome that are with him called and chosen and faithful |
| 17:15 |
And he saithsaid untoto me The waters whichthat thouyou sawestsaw where the harlot sittethis seated are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues |
| 17:16 |
And the ten horns whichthat thouyou sawestsaw they and the beast thesewill shall hate the harlot; andthey shallwill make her desolate and naked and shalldevour eat her flesh and shall burn her utterlyup with fire |
| 17:17 |
Forfor God didhas put init into their hearts to docarry out his mindpurpose andby tobeing comeof to one mind and togiving giveover their kingdomroyal untopower to the beast until the words of God shouldshall be accomplishedfulfilled |
| 17:18 |
And the woman whomthat thouyou sawestsaw is the great city which reignethhas dominion over the kings of the earth |
| 18:1 |
After thesethis things I saw another angel coming down outfrom of heaven having great authority; and the earth was lightenedmade bright with his glorysplendor |
| 18:2 |
And he criedcalled out with a mighty voice saying Fallen fallen is Babylon the great andIt ishas become a habitationdwelling place of demons and a holdhaunt of every uncleanfoul spirit and a holdhaunt of every uncleanfoul and hateful bird ; |
