9:8 And it came to pass while they were smiting and I was left thatalone I fell upon my face and cried and said Ah Lord JehovahGod wilt thou destroy all thethat residueremains of Israel in thythe pouringoutpouring out of thy wrath upon Jerusalem
9:9 Then he said heto unto me The iniquityguilt of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingexceedingly great; and the land is full of blood and the city full of wrestinginjustice; of judgment: for they say JehovahThe hathLord has forsaken the land and Jehovahthe seethLord does not see
9:10 AndAs as for me alsomy mine eye shallwill not spare neithernor will I have pity but I will bringrequite their waydeeds upon their head heads
9:11 And beholdlo the man clothed in linen whowith had the inkhornwriting bycase at his side reportedbrought theback matterword saying I have done as thou hastdidst commandedcommand me
10:1 Then I looked and behold inon the firmament that was over the headheads of the cherubim there appeared above them assomething itlike were a sapphire stonein asform theresembling appearance of the likeness of a throne
10:2 And he spakesaid untoto the man clothed in linen and said Go in betweenamong the whirling wheels evenunderneath under the cherubcherubim; and fill bothyour thy hands with burning coals of fire from between the cherubim and scatter them over the city And he went in inbefore my sighteyes

10:5 And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard evenas tofar as the outer court aslike the voice of God Almighty when he speaketh speaks
10:6 And it came to pass when he commanded the man clothed in linen saying Take fire from between the whirling wheels from between the cherubim that he went in and stood beside a wheel
10:7 And thea cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim untoto the fire that was between the cherubim and took thereofsome of it and put it into the hands of himthe thatman was clothed in linen who took it and went out
10:8 AndThe therecherubim appeared into thehave cherubim the form of a manshuman hand under their wings
10:9 And I looked and behold there were four wheels beside the cherubim one wheel beside oneeach cherub and another wheel beside another cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like untosparkling achrysolite beryl stone
10:10 And as for their appearance theythe four had onethe same likeness as if a wheel hadwere been within a wheel
10:11 When they went they went in any of their four directions: theywithout turnedturning not as they went but toin thewhatever placedirection whither the headfront lookedwheel theyfaced followedthe it;others theyfollowed turnedwithout notturning as they went
10:12 And their wholerims body and their backsspokes and their hands and their wings and the wheels were full of eyes round about even —the wheels that theythe four of them had
10:15 And the cherubim mounted up: thisThese iswere the living creaturecreatures that I saw by the river Chebar
10:16 And when the cherubim went the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth the wheels alsodid turned not turn from beside them
10:17 When they stood still these stood; still and when they mounted up these mounted up with them:; for the spirit of the living creaturecreatures was in them
10:18 AndThen the glory of Jehovahthe Lord went forth from over the threshold of the house and stood over the cherubim
10:19 And the cherubim lifted up their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight whenas they went forth andwith the wheels beside them:; and they stood at the door of the east gate of Jehovahsthe house of the Lord; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above
10:20 ThisThese iswere the living creaturecreatures that I saw underunderneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim
10:21 EveryEach one had four faces and everyeach one four wings; and theunderneath likenesstheir ofwings the handssemblance of ahuman manhands was under their wings
10:22 And as for the likeness of their faces they were the very faces whichwhose appearance I sawhad seen by the river Chebar theirThey appearances and themselves; they went every one straight forward
11:1 MoreoverThe the Spirit lifted me up and brought me untoto the east gate of Jehovahsthe house of the Lord which lookethfaces eastward:east andAnd behold at the door of the gategateway fivethere andwere twenty five men; and I saw inamong thethem midstJa ofazani′ah them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur and PelatiahPelati′ah the son of BenaiahBenai′ah princes of the people
11:2 And he said untoto me Son of man these are the men thatwho devise iniquity and thatwho give wicked counsel in this city;
11:3 thatwho say The time is not near to build houses:; this city is the caldron and we are the flesh
11:5 And the Spirit of Jehovahthe Lord fell upon me and he said untoto me SpeakSay Thus saithsays Jehovahthe Lord: ThusSo haveyou yethink said O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind
11:6 YeYou have multiplied your slain in this city and ye have filled theits streets thereof with the slain
11:7 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Your slain whom yeyou have laid in the midst of it they are the flesh and this city is the caldron; but yeyou shall be brought forth out of the midst of it
11:8 YeYou have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword upon you saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
11:9 And I will bring you forth out of the midst thereofof it and delivergive you into the hands of strangersforeigners and will execute judgments amongupon you
11:10 YeYou shall fall by the sword; I will judge you inat the border of Israel; and yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
11:11 This city shall not be your caldron neithernor shall yeyou be the flesh in the midst thereofof it; I will judge you inat the border of Israel;
11:12 and yeyou shall know that I am Jehovah:the Lord; for yeyou have not walked in my statutes neithernor have ye executed minemy ordinances but have doneacted afteraccording to the ordinances of the nations that are round about you
11:13 And it came to pass whenwhile I prophesiedwas prophesying that PelatiahPelati′ah the son of BenaiahBenai′ah died Then I fell I down upon my face and cried with a loud voice and said Ah Lord JehovahGod wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel
11:14 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
11:15 Son of man thyyour brethren even thyyour brethren theyour menfellow ofexiles thythe kindredwhole and all the house of Israel all of them are theythose untoof whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said GetThey youhave gone far from Jehovahthe Lord; untoto us is this land is given for a possession
11:16 Therefore say Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: WhereasThough I have removed them far off among the nations and whereasthough I have scattered them among the countries yet will I behave tobeen them a sanctuary to them for a little while in the countries where they arehave comegone
11:17 Therefore say Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries where yeyou have been scattered and I will give you the land of Israel
11:18 And when they shall come thitherthere and they shallwill takeremove awayfrom it all theits detestable things thereof and all theits abominations thereof from thence
11:19 And I will give them one heart and I will put a new spirit within youthem; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh;
11:20 that they may walk in my statutes and keep minemy ordinances and doobey them:; and they shall be my people and I will be their God
11:21 But as for themthose whose heart walkethgoes after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations I will bringrequite their waydeeds upon their own heads saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
11:22 Then did the cherubim liftlifted up their wings andwith the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above
11:23 And the glory of Jehovahthe Lord went up from the midst of the city and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city
11:24 And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into ChaldeaChalde′a to them of the captivityexiles SoThen the vision that I had seen went up from me
11:25 ThenAnd I spaketold unto them of the captivityexiles all the things that Jehovahthe Lord had showed me
12:1 The word of Jehovahthe alsoLord came untoto me: saying
12:2 Son of man thouyou dwellestdwell in the midst of thea rebellious house thatwho have eyes to see andbut see not thatwho have ears to hear andbut hear not; for they are a rebellious house
12:3 for they are a rebellious house Therefore thou son of man prepare theefor stuffyourself foran removingexiles baggage and removego into exile by day in their sight; andyou thoushall shaltgo removelike an exile from thyyour place to another place in their sight: itPerhaps may be they will considerunderstand though they are a rebellious house
12:4 AndYou thoushall shalt bring forthout thyyour stuffbaggage by day in their sight as stuffbaggage for removingexile; and thouyou shaltshall go forth thyselfyourself at evenevening in their sight as when men do who must go forth into exile
12:5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight and carrygo out therebythrough it
12:6 In their sight shaltyou thoushall bearlift itthe baggage upon thyyour shoulder and carry it forthout in the dark; thouyou shaltshall cover thyyour face that thouyou seemay not see the land:; for I have setmade theeyou for a sign untofor the house of Israel
12:7 And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forthout my stuffbaggage by day as stuffbaggage for removingexile and in the evenevening I diggeddug through the wall with my handown hands; I broughtwent it forth in the dark andcarrying baremy itoutfit upon my shoulder in their sight
12:8 AndIn in the morning came the word of Jehovahthe untoLord came to me: saying
12:9 Son of man hathhas not the house of Israel the rebellious house said untoto theeyou What doestare thouyou doing
12:10 Say thouto unto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: This burdenoracle concernethconcerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel amongwho whomare theyin areit
12:11 Say I am youra sign for you: like as I have done so shall it be done untoto them; they shall go into exile into captivity
12:12 And the prince thatwho is among them shall bearlift his baggage upon his shoulder in the dark and shall go forth:; theyhe shall dig through the wall toand carrygo out thereby:through it; he shall cover his face becausethat he shallmay not see the land with his eyes
12:13 MyAnd netI also will I spread uponmy net over him and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon toin the land of the Chaldeans;Chalde′ans yet he shall he not see it; thoughand he shall die there
12:14 And I will scatter toward every wind all thatwho are round about him tohis helphelpers him and all his bandstroops; and I will drawunsheathe out the sword after them
12:15 And they shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord when I shall disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries
12:16 But I will leavelet a few men of them escape from the sword from the famine and from the pestilence; that they may declareconfess all their abominations among the nations whitherwhere they come;go and theymay shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
12:17 Moreover the word of Jehovahthe Lord came to me: saying
12:18 Son of man eat thyyour bread with quaking and drink thy water with trembling and with fearfulness;
12:19 and say untoof the people of the land Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem andin the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness and drink their water in dismay thatbecause hertheir land maywill be desolatestripped and despoiled of all thatit iscontains thereinon becauseaccount of the violence of all themthose thatwho dwell thereinin it
12:20 And the inhabited cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste and the land shall bebecome a desolation; and yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
12:21 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
12:22 Son of man what is this proverb that yeyou have inabout the land of Israel saying The days aregrow prolongedlong and every vision failethcomes to nought
12:23 Tell them therefore Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: I will makeput thisan proverbend to ceasethis proverb and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; butBut say untoto them The days are at hand and the fulfilment of every vision
12:24 For there shall be no more any false vision noror flattering divination within the house of Israel
12:25 ForBut I amthe Jehovah;Lord I will speak and the word thatwhich I shallwill speak shalland it will be performed; itIt shallwill be no morelonger deferred:be fordelayed but in your days O rebellious house I will I speak the word and will perform it saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
12:26 Again the word of Jehovahthe Lord came to me: saying
12:27 Son of man behold they of the house of Israel say The vision that he seethsees is for many days tohence come and he prophesiethprophesies of times that are far off
12:28 Therefore say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: ThereNone shall none of my words will be deferreddelayed any morelonger but the word which I shall speak shallwill be performed saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
13:1 AndThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
13:2 Son of man prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy and say thouto untothose themwho that prophesy out of their own heartminds: Hear ye the word of Jehovah:the Lord
13:3 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod Woe untoto the foolish prophets thatwho follow their own spirit and have seen nothing
13:4 OYour Israel thy prophets have been like foxes inamong theruins wasteO placesIsrael
13:5 YeYou have not gone up into the gapsbreaches neitheror built up thea wall for the house of Israel tothat it might stand in the battle in the day of Jehovahthe Lord
13:6 They have seenspoken falsehood and lyingdivined divinationa thatlie; they say JehovahSays saith;the butLord Jehovahwhen haththe Lord has not sent them: and yet they haveexpect madehim men to hopefulfil thattheir the word would be confirmed
13:7 Have yeyou not seen a falsedelusive vision and haveuttered ye not spoken a lying divination inwhenever thatyou yehave saysaid JehovahSays saith;the albeitLord although I have not spoken
13:8 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because yeyou have spokenuttered falsehooddelusions and seen lies therefore behold I am against you saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
13:9 AndMy my hand shallwill be against the prophets thatwho see falsedelusive visions and thatwho divinegive lies:lying divinations; they shall not be in the council of my people neithernor shall they be writtenenrolled in the writingregister of the house of Israel neithernor shall they enter into the land of Israel; and yeyou shall know that I am the Lord JehovahGod
13:10 Because evenyea because they have seducedmisled my people saying Peace; andwhen there is no peace; and because when onethe buildethpeople upbuild a wall beholdthese theyprophets daub it with untemperedwhitewash; mortar:
13:11 say untoto themthose thatwho daub it with untemperedwhitewash mortar that it shall fall: thereThere shallwill be ana overflowingdeluge shower;of andrain ye O great hailstones shallwill fall; and a stormy wind shallbreak rendout; it
13:12 Loand when the wall isfalls fallenwill shall it not be said untoto you Where is the daubing wherewithwith yewhich haveyou daubed it
13:13 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: I will evenmake rend it with a stormy wind break out in my wrath; and there shall be ana overflowingdeluge showerof rain in minemy anger and great hailstones in wrath to consumedestroy it
13:14 SoAnd I will I break down the wall that yeyou have daubed with untemperedwhitewash mortar and bring it down to the ground so that theits foundation thereofwill shall be uncoveredlaid bare; andwhen it shallfalls fallyou and ye shall beperish consumed in the midst thereof:of it; and yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
13:15 Thus will I accomplishspend my wrath upon the wall and upon themthose thatwho have daubed it with untempered mortarwhitewash; and I will say untoto you The wall is no more neithernor theythose thatwho daubed it;
13:16 to wit the prophets of Israel thatwho prophesyprophesied concerning Jerusalem and thatsaw see visions of peace for her andwhen there iswas no peace saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
13:17 And thouyou son of man set thyyour face against the daughters of thyyour people thatwho prophesy out of their own heartminds; and prophesy thou against them
13:18 and say Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Woe to the women thatwho sew pillowsmagic bands upon all elbowswrists and make kerchiefsveils for the headheads of persons of every stature toin the hunt for souls Will yeyou hunt thedown souls ofbelonging to my people and savekeep other souls alive for yourselvesyour profit
13:19 AndYou ye have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread putting to slaydeath thepersons soulswho that should not die and tokeeping savealive thepersons soulswho alive that should not live by your lyinglies to my people thatwho hearkenlisten untoto lies
13:20 Wherefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I am against your pillowsmagic wherewithbands yewith therewhich you hunt the souls to make them fly and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let the souls go even the souls that yeyou hunt togo makefree themlike flybirds
13:21 Your kerchiefsveils also I will I tear off and deliver my people out of your hand and they shall be no more in your hand toas be huntedprey; and yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
13:22 Because withyou lies ye have grieveddisheartened the heartrighteous offalsely thealthough righteous whom I have not madedisheartened sadhim and strengthenedyou thehave handsencouraged of the wicked that he should not returnturn from his wicked way andto besave savedhis alivelife;
13:23 therefore yeyou shall no more see falsedelusive visions nor divinepractice divinations:divination; and I will deliver my people out of your hand; andThen yeyou shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
14:1 Then came certain of the elders of Israel untoto me and sat before me
14:2 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
14:3 Son of man these men have taken their idols into their hearthearts and putset the stumblingblockstumbling block of their iniquity before their face:faces; should I let myself be inquired of at all by them
14:4 Therefore speak untoto them and say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: EveryAny man of the house of Israel thatwho takethtakes his idols into his heart and puttethsets the stumblingblockstumbling block of his iniquity before his face and comethyet comes to the prophet; I Jehovahthe Lord will answer him thereinmyself accordingbecause toof the multitude of his idols;
14:5 that I may takelay hold of the househearts of Israelthe inhouse theirof ownIsrael heartwho because they are all estranged from me through their idols
14:6 Therefore say untoto the house of Israel Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: ReturnRepent ye and turn yourselvesaway from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations
14:7 For everyany one of the house of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel thatwho separatethseparates himself from me andtaking taketh his idols into his heart and puttethputting the stumblingblockstumbling block of his iniquity before his face and comethyet comes to thea prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Jehovahthe Lord will answer him by myself:;
14:8 and I will set my face against that man andI will make him an astonishment for a sign and a proverbbyword and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
14:9 And if the prophet be deceived and speak a word I Jehovahthe Lord have deceived that prophet and I will stretch out my hand uponagainst him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel
14:10 And they shall bear their iniquity: punishment—the iniquitypunishment of the prophet shalland be even as the iniquitypunishment of himthe thatinquirer seekethshall untobe him;alike—
14:11 that the house of Israel may go no more astray from me neithernor defile themselves any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people and I may be their God saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
14:12 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
14:13 Son of man when a land sinnethsins against me by committingacting afaithlessly trespass and I stretch out my hand uponagainst it and break theits staff of the bread thereof and send famine upon it and cut off from it man and beast;
14:14 thougheven if these three men Noah Daniel and Job were in it they shouldwould deliver but their own soulslives by their righteousness saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
14:15 If I cause evilwild beasts to pass through the land and they ravage it and it be made desolate so that no man may pass through because of the beasts;
14:16 thougheven if these three men were in it as I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod they shouldwould deliver neither sons nor daughters; they onlyalone shouldwould be delivered but the land shouldwould be desolate
14:17 Or if I bring a sword upon that land and say SwordLet a sword go through the land; soand that I cut off from it man and beast;
14:18 though these three men were in it as I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod they shouldwould deliver neither sons nor daughters but they onlyalone shouldwould be delivered themselves
14:19 Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out my wrath upon it inwith blood to cut off from it man and beast;
14:20 thougheven if Noah Daniel and Job were in it as I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod they shouldwould deliver neither son nor daughter; they shouldwould deliver but deliver their own soulslives by their righteousness
14:21 For thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: How much more when I send upon Jerusalem my four sore judgmentsacts uponof Jerusalemjudgment the sword and the famine and the evil beasts and the pestilence to cut off from it man and beast
14:22 Yet beholdif thereinthere shallshould be left ain remnantit thatany shallsurvivors beto carriedlead forthout both sons and daughters: beholdwhen they shall come forth untoto you and yeyou shall see their wayways and their doings; andyou yewill shall be comfortedconsoled concerningfor the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem evenfor concerning all that I have brought upon it
14:23 AndThey theywill shallconsole comfort you when yeyou see their wayways and their doings; and yeyou shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
15:1 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
15:2 Son of man whathow isdoes the vinewood treeof morethe thanvine surpass any treewood the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest
15:3 ShallIs wood be taken thereoffrom it to make anyanything workDo or will men take a pinpeg offrom it to hang any vessel thereonon
15:4 BeholdLo it is castgiven intoto the fire for fuel; when the fire hathhas devouredconsumed both the ends of it and the midstmiddle of it is burned:charred is it profitableuseful for anyanything work
15:5 Behold when it was whole it was meetused for nonothing; work: how much less when the fire hathhas devouredconsumed it and it is burnedcharred shallcan it yetever be meetused for anyanything work
15:6 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: AsLike the wood of the vine tree among the trees of the forest which I have given to the fire for fuel so will I give up the inhabitants of Jerusalem
15:7 And I will set my face against them; though they shallescape go forth from the fire but the fire shall devouryet consume them; and yeyou shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord when I set my face against them
15:8 And I will make the land desolate because they have committedacted afaithlessly trespasssays saith the Lord JehovahGod
16:1 Again the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying

16:26 ThouYou hast also committedplayed fornicationthe harlot with the Egyptians thyyour lustful neighbors greatmultiplying ofyour flesh;harlotry and hast multiplied thy whoredom to provoke me to anger
16:27 Behold therefore I have stretched out my hand overagainst theeyou and have diminished thineyour ordinaryallotted foodportion and delivered theeyou untoto the willgreed of themyour thatenemies hate thee the daughters of the Philistines thatwho arewere ashamed of thyyour lewd waybehavior
16:28 ThouYou hast played the harlot also with the Assyrians because thouyou wastwere insatiable; yea thouyou hast played the harlot with them and yetstill thouyou wastwere not satisfied
16:29 ThouYou hastmultiplied moreoveryour multipliedharlotry thyalso whoredomwith unto the trading land of traffic unto ChaldeaChalde′a; and yeteven thouwith wastthis you were not satisfied herewith
16:30 How weaklovesick is thyyour heart saithsays the Lord JehovahGod seeing thouyou doestdid all these things the workdeeds of ana impudentbrazen harlot;
16:31 inbuilding thatyour thou buildest thy vaulted placechamber at the head of every waystreet and makestmaking thyyour lofty place in every streetsquare andYet hastyou were not beenlike as a harlot inbecause thatyou thouscorned scornest hire
16:32 AAdulterous wife thatwho committethreceives adultery that taketh strangers instead of her husband
16:33 TheyMen give gifts to all harlots; but thouyou givestgave thyyour gifts to all thyyour lovers andbribing bribest them thatto they may come untoto theeyou onfrom every side for thyyour whoredomsharlotries
16:34 AndSo thouyou artwere different from other women in thyyour whoredomsharlotries: in that none followethsolicited theeyou to play the harlot; and whereasyou thougave givest hire andwhile no hire iswas given untoto theeyou; therefore thouyou artwere different
16:35 Wherefore O harlot hear the word of Jehovahthe Lord:

16:39 And I will also give theeyou into theirthe hand of your lovers and they shall throw down thyyour vaulted placechamber and break down thyyour lofty places; and they shall strip theeyou of thyyour clothes and take thyyour fair jewels; and they shall leave theeyou naked and bare
16:40 They shall also bring up a companyhost against theeyou and they shall stone theeyou withand stonescut andyou thrustto theepieces through with their swords
16:41 And they shall burn thyyour houses with fire and execute judgments upon theeyou in the sight of many women; and I will causemake theeyou tostop cease from playing the harlot and thouyou shaltshall also give no hire anyno more
16:42 So will I causesatisfy my wrathfury towardon theeyou to rest and my jealousy shall depart from theeyou; and I will be quietcalm and will be no more be angry
16:43 Because thouyou hasthave not remembered the days of thyyour youth but hasthave ragedenraged against me inwith all these things; therefore behold I also will bringrequite thyyour waydeeds upon thyyour head saithsays the Lord Jehovah:God andHave thouyou shalt not commitcommitted this lewdness within addition to all thineyour abominations
16:44 Behold every one thatwho usethuses proverbs shallwill use this proverb againstabout theeyou sayingLike As is the mother solike is her daughter

16:47 Yet hastyou thouwere not walkedcontent to walk in their ways noror donedo afteraccording to their abominations; butwithin as if that were a very little thingtime thouyou wastwere more corrupt than they in all thyyour ways
16:48 As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod Sodomyour thy sister hathSodom notand done she nor her daughters ashave thounot hast done thouas you and thyyour daughters have done

16:58 ThouYou hastbear bornethe thypenalty of your lewdness and thineyour abominations saithsays Jehovahthe Lord
16:59 ForYea thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: I will also deal with theeyou as thouyou hasthave done who hasthave despised the oath in breaking the covenant
16:60 Neverthelessyet I will remember my covenant with theeyou in the days of thyyour youth and I will establish untowith theeyou an everlasting covenant
16:61 Then shaltyou thouwill remember thyyour ways and be ashamed when thouI shalttake receiveyour thy sisters thineboth your elder sisters and thyyour younger; and I will give them untoto theeyou foras daughters but not byon thyaccount of the covenant with you

17:1 AndThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
17:2 Son of man putpropound forth a riddle and speak aan parableallegory untoto the house of Israel;
17:3 and say Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: A great eagle with great wings and long pinions fullrich ofin feathersplumage whichof hadmany divers colors came untoto Lebanon and took the top of the cedar:;
17:4 he croppedbroke off the topmost of theits young twigs thereof and carried it untoto a land of traffic;trade heand set it in a city of merchants
17:5 HeThen he took also of the seed of the land and planted it in afertile fruitful soil; he placed it beside manyabundant waters; heHe set it aslike a willow treetwig
17:6 Andand it grewsprouted and became a low spreading vine ofand lowits stature whose branches turned toward him and theits roots thereofremained werewhere underit him:stood soSo it became a vine and brought forth branches and shotput forth sprigsfoliage
17:7 ThereBut there was also another great eagle with great wings and manymuch feathers:plumage; and behold this vine didbent bend its roots toward him and shot forth its branches toward him fromthat thehe bedsmight ofwater itsit plantationFrom thatthe hebed mightwhere water it was planted
17:8 Ithe wastransplanted plantedit into a good soil by manyabundant waters that it might bring forth branches and that it might bear fruit thatand itbecome might be a goodlynoble vine
17:9 Say thou Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: ShallWill it prosperthrive shallWill he not pull up theits roots thereof and cut off theits fruitbranches thereofso that it may wither; that all its fresh springingsprouting leaves may wither andIt will not bytake a strong arm or muchmany people canto pull it be raised from theits roots thereof
17:10 YeaBehold beholdwhen beingit plantedis shalltransplanted will it prosperthrive shallWill it not utterly wither when the east wind touchethstrikes it—wither itaway shallon wither in the bedsbed where it grew
17:11 MoreoverThen the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying

17:13 And he took one of the seed royal and made a covenant with him; heputting also brought him under an oath andThe tookchief awaymen the mighty of the land; he had taken away
17:14 that the kingdom might be basehumble thatand it might not lift itself up butand that by keeping his covenant it might stand
17:15 But he rebelled against him inby sending his ambassadors intoto Egypt that they might give him horses and mucha peoplelarge Shallarmy Will he prospersucceed shallCan hea man escape thatwho doethdoes such things shallCan he break the covenant and yet escape
17:16 As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod surely in the place where the king dwellethdwells thatwho made him king whose oath he despised and whose covenant he brake even with him inhe thebroke midstin of Babylon he shall die
17:17 Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company will not help him in the war when theymounds are cast up mounds and buildsiege fortswalls built to cut off many personslives
17:18 ForBecause he hath despised the oath byand breakingbroke the covenant; andbecause behold he hadgave given his hand and yet hathdid done all these things; he shall not escape
17:19 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: As I live surely minemy oath thatwhich he hath despised and my covenant thatwhich he hathbroke broken I will evenrequite bring it upon his own head
17:20 And I will spread my net uponover him and he shall be taken in my snare and I will bring him to Babylon and will enter into judgment with him there for histhe trespasstreason that he hathhas trespassedcommitted against me

18:3 As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod yethis proverb shall notno have occasion any more tobe useused thisby proverbyou in Israel
18:4 Behold all souls are mine; as the soul of the father soas alsowell as the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinnethsins it shall die
18:5 ButIf if a man beis justrighteous and dodoes thatwhat which is lawful and right—

18:20 The soul that sinnethsins it shall die: theThe son shall not bearsuffer for the iniquity of the father neithernor shall the father bearsuffer for the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himhimself and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himhimself
18:21 But if thea wicked turnman turns away from all his sins thatwhich he hathhas committed and keepkeeps all my statutes and dodoes thatwhat which is lawful and right he shall surely live; he shall not die
18:22 None of histhe transgressions thatwhich he hathhas committed shall be remembered against him:; infor histhe righteousness thatwhich he hathhas done he shall live
18:23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked saithsays the Lord Jehovah;God and not rather that he should returnturn from his way and live

18:25 Yet yeyou say The way of the Lord is not equaljust Hear now O house of Israel: Is not my way equalnot arejust Is it not your ways unequalthat are not just
18:26 When thea righteous man turnethturns away from his righteousness and committethcommits iniquity andhe diethshall thereindie for it; infor histhe iniquity thatwhich he hathhas donecommitted he shall he die
18:27 Again when thea wicked man turnethturns away from histhe wickedness that he hathhas committed and doethdoes thatwhat which is lawful and right he shall save his soullife alive
18:28 Because he considerethconsidered and turnethturned away from all histhe transgressions thatwhich he hathhad committed he shall surely live he shall not die
18:29 Yet saith the house of Israel says The way of the Lord is not equaljust O house of Israel are not my ways equalnot arejust Is it not your ways unequalthat are not just
18:30 Therefore I will judge you O house of Israel every one according to his ways saithsays the Lord JehovahGod ReturnRepent ye and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; solest iniquity shall not be your ruin
18:31 Cast away from you all yourthe transgressions whereinwhich yeyou have transgressed;committed against me and makeget youyourselves a new heart and a new spirit: forWhy why will yeyou die O house of Israel
18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of himany thatone diethsays saith the Lord Jehovah:God; whereforeso turn yourselves and live
19:1 MoreoverAnd you take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel
19:2 and say: What a lioness was thyyour mother Aamong lioness:lions sheShe couched among lions in the midst of the young lions sherearing nourished her whelps
19:3 And she brought up one of her whelps:; he became a young lion and he learned to catch the prey; he devoured men
19:4 The nations alsosounded heardan ofalarm against him; he was taken in their pit; and they brought him with hooks untoto the land of Egypt
19:5 NowWhen when she saw that she hadwas waitedbaffled andthat her hope was lost then she took another of her whelps and made him a young lion
19:6 AndHe heprowled went up and down among the lions; he became a young lion and he learned to catch the prey; he devoured men
19:7 And he knewravaged their palacesstrongholds and laid waste their cities; and the land was desolateappalled and theall fulnesswho thereofwere becausein ofit at the noisesound of his roaring
19:8 Then the nations set against him snares on every side from the provinces; and they spread their net over him; he was taken in their pit
19:9 AndWith hooks they put him in a cage with hooks and brought him to the king of Babylon; they brought him into strongholdscustody that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel

20:1 AndIn it came to pass in the seventh year in the fifth month on the tenth day of the month that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovahthe Lord and sat before me
20:2 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
20:3 Son of man speak untoto the elders of Israel and say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord Jehovah:God Is it to inquire of me that yeyou are come As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod I will not be inquired of by you
20:4 WiltWill thouyou judge them son of man wiltwill thouyou judge them CauseThen let them to know the abominations of their fathers;
20:5 and say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: InOn the day when I chose Israel andI swareswore untoto the seed of the house of Jacob andmaking made myself known untoto them in the land of Egypt when I swareswore untoto them saying I am Jehovahthe Lord your God;
20:6 inOn that day I swareswore untoto them tothat I would bring them forth out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them a land flowing with milk and honey whichthe ismost theglorious glory of all lands
20:7 And I said untoto them Cast ye away everythe mandetestable thethings abominationsyour eyes feast on every one of hisyou eyes and defiledo not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am Jehovahthe Lord your God
20:8 But they rebelled against me and would not hearkenlisten untoto me; they did not every man cast away the abominationsdetestable ofthings their eyes neitherfeasted on nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt Then I saidthought I would pour out my wrath upon them toand accomplishspend my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt
20:9 But I wroughtacted for the sake of my namesname sake that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whichwhom they weredwelt in whose sight I made myself known untoto them in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt
20:10 So I causedled them to go forth out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness
20:11 And I gave them my statutes and showed them minemy ordinances whichby ifwhose aobservance man do he shall live in them
20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths toas be a sign between me and them that they might know that I amthe JehovahLord thatsanctify sanctifieth them
20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness:; they walkeddid not walk in my statutes andbut they rejected minemy ordinances whichby ifwhose aobservance man keep he shall live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned Then I saidthought I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness to consumemake a full end of them
20:14 But I wroughtacted for the sake of my namesname sake that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out
20:15 Moreover also I swareswore untoto them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them a land flowing with milk and honey whichthe ismost theglorious glory of all lands;
20:16 because they rejected minemy ordinances and walkeddid not walk in my statutes and profaned my sabbaths:; for their heart went after their idols
20:17 Nevertheless minemy eye spared them and I destroyeddid them not neitherdestroy didthem Ior make a full end of them in the wilderness
20:18 And I said untoto their children in the wilderness WalkDo ye not walk in the statutes of your fathers neithernor observe their ordinances nor defile yourselves with their idols
20:19 I the Lord am Jehovah your God:; walk in my statutes and keepbe minecareful ordinancesto andobserve domy them;ordinances
20:20 and hallow my sabbaths; andthat they shallmay be a sign between me and you that yeyou may know that I the Lord am Jehovah your God
20:21 But the children rebelled against me; they walkeddid not walk in my statutes neitherand keptwere minenot ordinancescareful to doobserve themmy whichordinances ifby awhose observance man do he shall live in them; they profaned my sabbaths Then I saidthought I would pour out my wrath upon them toand accomplishspend my anger against them in the wilderness
20:22 NeverthelessBut I withdrewwithheld my hand and wroughtacted for the sake of my namesname sake that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations in whose sight I had brought them forthout
20:23 Moreover I swareswore untoto them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries;
20:24 because they had not executed minemy ordinances but had rejected my statutes and had profaned my sabbaths and their eyes were afterset on their fathers idols
20:25 Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances whereinby which they shouldcould not livehave life;
20:26 and I polluteddefiled them inthrough their ownvery gifts in thatmaking theythem causedoffer toby pass through the fire all thattheir openethfirst theborn womb that I might makehorrify them; desolateI todid theit end that they might know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
20:27 Therefore son of man speak untoto the house of Israel and say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: In this moreoveragain have your fathers blasphemed me inby thatdealing theytreacherously havewith committed a trespass against me
20:28 For when I had brought them into the land which I swareswore to give unto them then wherever they saw everyany high hill andor everyany thickleafy tree andthere they offered there their sacrifices and there they presented the provocation of their offering; there also they madesent up their sweetsoothing savorodors and there they poured out there their drink offerings
20:29 Then I said untoto them What meanethis the high place whereuntoto yewhich you go So theits name thereof is called Bamah untoto this day
20:30 Wherefore say untoto the house of Israel Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: DoWill yeyou pollutedefile yourselves after the manner of your fathers and playgo yeastray the harlot after their abominationsdetestable things
20:31 andWhen whenyou ye offer your gifts whenand yesacrifice make your sons toby pass through the fire doyou yedefile pollute yourselves with all your idols untoto this day andAnd shall I be inquired of by you O house of Israel As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod I will not be inquired of by you;
20:32 andWhat thatis whichin cometh into your mind shall notnever behappen—the atthought allLet inus that ye say We will be aslike the nations aslike the familiestribes of the countries toand serveworship wood and stone
20:33 As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod surely with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out I will I be king over you
20:34 And I will bring you out from the peoples and will gather you out of the countries whereinwhere yeyou are scattered with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out;
20:35 and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples and there I will I enter into judgment with you face to face
20:36 LikeAs as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt so I will I enter into judgment with you saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
20:37 And I will causemake you to pass under the rod and I will bringlet you intogo thein bondby ofnumber the covenant;
20:38 and I will purge out the rebels from among you the rebels and themthose thatwho transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: andThen yeyou shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
20:39 As for you O house of Israel thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Go ye serve every one of you his idols now and hereafter also if yeyou will not hearkenlisten untoto me; but my holy name you shall ye no more profane with your gifts and with your idols
20:40 For inon my holy mountain in the mountain of the height of Israel saithsays the Lord JehovahGod there shall all the house of Israel all of them shall serve me in the land:; there I will I accept them and there I will I require your offeringscontributions and the firstchoicest fruits of your oblationsgifts with all your holysacred thingsofferings
20:41 As a sweetpleasing savorodor I will I accept you when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries whereinwhere yeyou have been scattered; and I will bemanifest sanctifiedmy inholiness among you in the sight of the nations
20:42 And yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord when I shall bring you into the land of Israel into the country which I swareswore to give untoto your fathers
20:43 And there you shall ye remember your ways and all yourthe doings whereinwith yewhich you have polluted yourselves; and yeyou shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all yourthe evils that yeyou have committed
20:44 And yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord when I havedeal dealt with you for my names sake not according to your evil ways nor according to your corrupt doings O ye house of Israel saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
20:45 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
20:46 Son of man set thyyour face toward the south andpreach dropagainst thy word toward the south and prophesy against the forest ofland the field in the SouthNegeb;
20:47 and say to the forest of the SouthNegeb Hear the word of Jehovahthe Lord: Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod Behold I will kindle a fire in theeyou and it shall devour every green tree in theeyou and every dry tree:; the flamingblazing flame shall not be quenched and all faces from the south to the north shall be burntscorched therebyby it
20:48 AndAll all flesh shall see that I Jehovahthe Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched
20:49 Then I said I Ah Lord JehovahGod they sayare saying of me Is he not a speakermaker of parablesallegories
21:1 And theThe word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
21:2 Son of man set thyyour face toward Jerusalem and droppreach thyagainst word toward the sanctuaries; and prophesy against the land of Israel;
21:3 and say to the land of Israel Thus saithsays Jehovahthe Lord: Behold I am against theeyou and will draw forth my sword out of its sheath and will cut off from theeyou theboth righteous and the wicked
21:4 SeeingBecause then that I will cut off from theeyou theboth righteous and the wicked therefore shall my sword shall go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:;
21:5 and all flesh shall know that I Jehovahthe Lord have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not returnbe anysheathed moreagain
21:6 Sigh therefore thou son of man; sigh with the breaking ofheart thy loins and withbitter bitternessgrief shalt thou sigh before their eyes
21:7 And it shall be when they say untoto theeyou WhereforeWhy sighestdo thouyou thatsigh thouyou shaltshall say Because of the tidings forWhen it cometh;comes and every heart shallwill melt and all hands shallwill be feeble and every spirit shallwill faint and all knees shallwill be weak as water: beholdBehold it comethcomes and it shallwill be donefulfilled saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
21:8 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
21:9 Son of man prophesy and say Thus saithsays Jehovah:the Lord Say: A sword a sword it is sharpened and also furbished; polished
21:10 it is sharpened thatfor it may make a slaughter; itpolished isto furbishedflash thatlike itlightning mayOr bedo aswe lightning:make shallmirth weYou thenhave makedespised mirth the rod of my son itwith contemnetheverything everyof treewood
21:11 AndSo itthe sword is given to be furbishedpolished that it may be handled:; the sword it is sharpened yeaand itpolished is furbished to givebe itgiven into the hand of the slayer
21:12 Cry and wail son of man; for it is uponagainst my people; it is uponagainst all the princes of Israel:; they are delivered over to the sword with my people; smiteSmite therefore upon thyyour thigh
21:13 For thereit iswill anot trial;be anda testing—what ifcould evenit thedo rodif thatyou contemnethdespise shallthe berod nosays more saith the Lord Jehovah God

21:17 I also will alsoclap smite my hands together and I will causesatisfy my wrathfury; toI rest:the ILord Jehovah have spoken it
21:18 The word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me again: saying
21:19 AlsoSon thou son of man appointmark thee two ways thatfor the sword of the king of Babylon mayto come; theyboth twainof them shall come forth outfrom ofthe onesame land: andAnd markmake out a placesignpost markmake it out at the head of the way to thea city;
21:20 Thoumark shalt appoint a way for the sword to come to Rabbah of the childrenAmmonites of Ammon and to Judah inand to Jerusalem the fortified
21:21 For the king of Babylon stoodstands at the parting of the way at the head of the two ways to use divination:; he shookshakes the arrows to and fro he consultedconsults the teraphim he lookedlooks inat the liver
21:22 InInto his right hand wascomes the divinationlot for Jerusalem to set battering rams to open the mouth inwith thea slaughtercry to lift up the voice with shouting to set battering rams against the gates to cast up mounds to build fortssiege towers
21:23 AndBut itto shallthem beit untowill themseem aslike a false divination; inthey their sight who have sworn solemn oaths unto them; but he bringethbrings iniquitytheir guilt to remembrance that they may be takencaptured
21:24 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because yeyou have made your iniquityguilt to be remembered in that your transgressions are uncovered so that in all your doings your sins do appear; —because thatyou yehave are come to remembrance yeyou shall be taken within thethem hand
21:25 And thouyou O deadlyunhallowed wounded wicked one the prince of Israel whose day ishas come in the time of theyour iniquityfinal ofpunishment the end
21:26 thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Remove the mitreturban and take off the crown; thisthings shall benot noremain moreas thethey sameare; exalt that which is low and abase that which is high
21:27 A ruin ruin ruin I will overturnmake overturn overturn it:; thisthere also shall not be noeven morea trace of it until he comecomes whose right it is; and to him I will give it him
21:28 And thouyou son of man prophesy and say Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod concerning the childrenAmmonites of Ammon and concerning their reproach; and say thou A sword a sword is drawn for the slaughter it is furbishedpolished to causeglitter itand to devourflash thatlike it may be as lightning;—
21:29 while they see for theeyou false visions while they divine lies untofor thee you—to laybe theelaid uponon the necks of the unhallowed wicked that are deadly wounded whose day ishas come in the time of thetheir iniquityfinal ofpunishment the end
21:30 CauseReturn it to return into its sheath In the place where thouyou wastwere created in the land of thyyour birthorigin I will I judge theeyou
21:31 And I will pour out minemy indignation upon theeyou; I will blow upon theeyou with the fire of my wrath; and I will deliver theeyou into the handhands of brutishbrutal men skilful to destroy
21:32 ThouYou shaltshall be for fuel tofor the fire; thyyour blood shall be in the midst of the land; thouyou shaltshall be no more remembered:; for I Jehovahthe Lord have spoken it
22:1 Moreover the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me saying
22:2 And thouyou son of man wiltwill thouyou judge wiltwill thouyou judge the bloody city thenThen causedeclare her to knowher all her abominationsabominable deeds
22:3 AndYou thoushall shalt say Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: A city that sheddethsheds blood in the midst of her that her time may come and that makethmakes idols against herself to defile herherself
22:4 ThouYou arthave become guilty inby thythe blood thatwhich thouyou hasthave shed and art defiled inby thinethe idols which thouyou hasthave made; and thouyou hasthave causedbrought thyyour daysday tonear drawthe nearappointed andtime artof comeyour evenyears untohas thycome years:Therefore thereforeI have I made theeyou a reproach untoto the nations and a mocking to all the countries
22:5 Those thatwho are near and those thatwho are far from theeyou shallwill mock theeyou thouyou infamous one and full of tumult
22:6 Behold the princes of Israel in you every one according to his power have been inbent theeon toshedding shed blood
22:7 InFather thee have they set light by father and mother; inare thetreated midstwith ofcontempt theein haveyou; they dealt by oppression with the sojourner; insuffers theeextortion havein theyyour wrongedmidst; the fatherless and the widow are wronged in you
22:8 ThouYou hasthave despised my holy things and hast profaned my sabbaths
22:9 SlanderousThere are men havein beenyou inwho theeslander to shed blood; and men in theeyou theywho haveeat eaten upon the mountains:; inmen thecommit midstlewdness ofin theeyour theymidst have committed lewdness
22:10 In theeyou havemen theyuncover uncovered their fathers nakedness; in theeyou have they humbledhumble herwomen thatwho wasare unclean in hertheir impurity
22:11 AndOne onecommits hath committed abomination with his neighbors wife; and another hath lewdly defileddefiles his daughter in law; and another in theeyou hathdefiles humbled his sister his fathers daughter
22:12 In theeyou havemen theytake taken bribes to shed blood; thouyou hasttake taken interest and increase and thoumake hastgain greedily gained of thyyour neighbors by oppressionextortion; and hastyou have forgotten me saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
22:13 Behold therefore I havestrike smitten my handhands together at thythe dishonest gain which thouyou hasthave made and at thythe blood which hathhas been in the midst of theeyou
22:14 Can thyyour heartcourage endure or can thyyour hands be strong in the days that I shall deal with theeyou I Jehovahthe Lord have spoken it and I will do it
22:15 And I will scatter theeyou among the nations and disperse theeyou through the countries; and I will consume thyyour filthiness out of theeyou
22:16 And thouI shaltshall be profaned inthrough thyselfyou in the sight of the nations; and thouyou shaltshall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
22:17 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
22:18 Son of man the house of Israel ishas become dross untoto me:; all of them aresilver brassand bronze and tin and iron and lead in the midst of the furnace; theyhave arebecome the dross of silver
22:19 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because yeyou arehave all become dross therefore behold I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem
22:20 As theymen gather silver and brassbronze and iron and lead and tin into thea midst of the furnace to blow the fire upon it in order to melt it; so I will I gather you in minemy anger and in my wrath and I will layput you therein and melt you
22:21 Yea I will gather you and blow upon you with the fire of my wrath and yeyou shall be melted in the midst thereofof it
22:22 As silver is melted in thea midst of the furnace so you shall ye be melted in the midst thereofof it; and yeyou shall know that I Jehovahthe Lord have poured out my wrath upon you
22:23 And the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
22:24 Son of man say untoto her ThouYou artare a land that is not cleansed noror rained upon in the day of indignation
22:25 ThereHer isprinces ain conspiracythe midst of her prophetsare in the midst thereof like a roaring lion raveningtearing the prey:; they have devoured soulshuman lives; they takehave taken treasure and precious things; they have made hermany widows many in the midst thereofof her
22:26 Her priests have done violence to my law and have profaned my holy things:; they have made no distinction between the holy and the common neither have they causedtaught menthe todifference discern between the unclean and the clean and they have hiddisregarded their eyes from my sabbaths andso that I am profaned among them
22:27 Her princes in the midst thereofof her are like wolves raveningtearing the prey toshedding shed blood anddestroying lives to destroy souls that they may get dishonest gain
22:28 And her prophets have daubed for them with untemperedwhitewash mortar seeing false visions and divining lies untofor them saying Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod when Jehovahthe hathLord has not spoken
22:29 The people of the land have usedpracticed oppressionextortion and exercisedcommitted robbery; yea they have vexedoppressed the poor and needy and have oppressedextorted from the sojourner wrongfullywithout redress
22:30 And I sought for a man among them thatwho should build up the wall and stand in the gapbreach before me for the land that I should not destroy it; but I found none
22:31 Therefore I have I poured out minemy indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath:; their own way have I broughtrequited upon their heads saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
23:1 The word of Jehovahthe Lord came againto unto me: saying
23:2 Son of man there were two women the daughters of one mother:;
23:3 and they played the harlot in Egypt; they played the harlot in their youth; there were their breasts were pressed and theretheir wasvirgin bosoms handled the bosom of their virginity
23:4 AndOho′lah was the namesname of themthe wereelder Oholahand Ohol′ibah the eldername andof Oholibah her sister: andThey they became mine and they barebore sons and daughters AndAs as for their names SamariaOho′lah is OholahSamar′ia and Ohol′ibah is Jerusalem Oholibah
23:5 AndOho′lah Oholah played the harlot whenwhile she was mine; and she doted on her lovers on the Assyrians her neighbors
23:6 whowarriors were clothed within bluepurple governors and rulerscommanders all of them desirable young men horsemen riding uponon horses
23:7 AndShe she bestowed her whoredomsharlotries upon them the choicest men of Assyria all of them; and onshe whomsoeverdefiled sheherself doted with all theirthe idols of every one on whom she defileddoted herself
23:8 NeitherShe hathdid shenot leftgive up her whoredomsharlotry which she had practiced since theher days ofin Egypt; for in her youth theymen layhad lain with her and they handled theher virgin bosom of her virginity; and they poured out their whoredomlust upon her
23:9 WhereforeTherefore I delivered her into the handhands of her lovers into the handhands of the Assyrians upon whom she doted
23:10 These uncovered her nakedness; they tookseized her sons and her daughters; and her they slew with the sword:; and she became a byword among women; forwhen theyjudgment had been executed judgments upon her
23:11 AndHer her sister OholibahOhol′ibah saw this yet she was she more corrupt than she in her doting than she and in her whoredomsharlotry which werewas moreworse than thethat whoredoms of her sister
23:12 She doted upon the Assyrians governors and rulerscommanders herwarriors neighbors clothed mostin gorgeouslyfull armor horsemen riding uponon horses all of them desirable young men
23:13 And I saw that she was defiled; they both took onethe same way
23:14 AndBut she increasedcarried her whoredomsharlotry further; for she saw men portrayed upon the wall the images of the ChaldeansChalde′ans portrayed within vermilion
23:15 girded with girdlesbelts uponon their loins with flowing turbans uponon their heads all of them princeslooking tolike lookofficers upona afterpicture the likeness of the Babylonians inwhose Chaldeanative the land ofwas theirChalde′a nativity
23:16 AndWhen as soon as she saw them she doted upon them and sent messengers untoto them intoin ChaldeaChalde′a
23:17 And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love and they defiled her with their whoredomlust; and after she was polluted withby them andshe herturned soulfrom wasthem alienatedin fromdisgust them
23:18 SoWhen she uncoveredcarried on her whoredomsharlotry so openly and uncoveredflaunted her nakedness: thenI myturned soulin wasdisgust alienated from her like as myI soulhad wasturned alienated from her sister
23:19 Yet she multipliedincreased her whoredomsharlotry remembering the days of her youth whereinwhen she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt
23:20 Andand she doted upon theirher paramours there whose fleshmembers iswere aslike thethose flesh of asses and whose issue iswas like thethat issue of horses
23:21 Thus thouyou calledstlonged tofor remembrance the lewdness of thyyour youth inwhen the handlingEgyptians ofhandled thyyour bosom byand thepressed Egyptiansyour foryoung the breasts of thy youth
23:22 Therefore O OholibahOhol′ibah thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I will raiserouse upagainst thyyou your lovers against thee from whom thyyou soulturned isin alienateddisgust and I will bring them against theeyou onfrom every side:
23:23 the Babylonians and all the ChaldeansChalde′ans Pekod and ShoaSho′a and KoaKo′a and all the Assyrians with them; desirable young men governors and rulerscommanders all of them princesofficers and menwarriors of renown all of them riding uponon horses
23:24 And they shall come against theeyou from the north with weapons chariots and wagons and with a companyhost of peoples; they shall set themselves against theeyou on every side with buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will commit the judgment untoto them and they shall judge theeyou according to their judgments
23:25 And I will setdirect my jealousyindignation against theeyou andthat they shallmay deal with theeyou in fury; theyThey shall takecut awayoff thyyour nose and thineyour ears; and thyyour residuesurvivors shall fall by the sword: theyThey shall takeseize thyyour sons and thyyour daughters; and thyyour residuesurvivors shall be devoured by the fire
23:26 They shall also strip theeyou of thyyour clothes and take away thyyour fairfine jewels
23:27 Thus I will Iput makean thyend lewdness to ceaseyour fromlewdness thee and thyyour whoredomharlotry brought from the land of Egypt; so that thouyou shaltshall not lift up thineyour eyes untoto themthe norEgyptians or remember Egyptthem any more
23:28 For thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I will deliver theeyou into the handhands of themthose whom thouyou hatesthate into the handhands of themthose from whom thyyou soulturned isin alienateddisgust;
23:29 and they shall deal with theeyou in hatred and shall take away all thythe fruit of your labor and shall leave theeyou naked and bare; and the nakedness of thyyour whoredomsharlotry shall be uncovered bothYour thy lewdness and thyyour whoredomsharlotry
23:30 Thesehave thingsbrought shallthis beupon doneyou untobecause theeyou for that thou hast played the harlot afterwith the nations and becausepolluted thouyourself art polluted with their idols
23:31 ThouYou hasthave walkedgone in the way of thyyour sister; therefore I will I give her cup into thyyour hand
23:32 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: ThouYou shaltshall drink ofyour thy sisters cup which is deep and large; thouyou shaltshall be laughed toat scorn and hadheld in derision; for it containethcontains much ;
23:33 Thouyou shaltwill be filled with drunkenness and sorrow withA the cup of astonishmenthorror and desolation withis the cup of thyyour sister Samaria Samar′ia;
23:34 Thouyou shaltshall even drink it and drain it out and thoupluck shaltout gnawyour thehair sherds thereof and shalt tear thyyour breasts; for I have spoken itsays saith the Lord JehovahGod
23:35 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because thouyou hasthave forgotten me and cast me behind thyyour back therefore bear thouthe alsoconsequences thyof your lewdness and thy whoredomsharlotry
23:36 JehovahThe Lord said moreoverto unto me: Son of man wiltwill thouyou judge OholahOho′lah and OholibahOhol′ibah thenThen declare untoto them their abominationsabominable deeds
23:37 For they have committed adultery and blood is inupon their hands; and with their idols they have they committed adultery; and they have alsoeven causedoffered theirup sonsto whomthem theyfor barefood untothe mesons towhom passthey throughhad theborne fire unto them to beme devoured
23:38 Moreover this they have done untoto me: they have defiled my sanctuary inon the same day and have profaned my sabbaths
23:39 For when they had slainslaughtered their children in sacrifice to their idols thenon they came the same day they came into my sanctuary to profane it; andAnd lo thusthis haveis what they donedid in the midst of my house
23:40 AndThey furthermoreeven ye have sent for men thatto come from far untoto whom a messenger was sent and lo they came; forFor whomthem thouyou didstbathed washyourself thyselfpainted paintyour thine eyes and deckdecked thyselfyourself with ornaments;
23:41 andyou sitsat upon a stately bedcouch with a table preparedspread before it whereuponon thouwhich didstyou sethad mineplaced my incense and minemy oil
23:42 AndThe thesound voice of a carefree multitude being at ease was with her:; and with men of the common sort drunkards were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets upon the hands of themthe twainwomen and beautiful crowns upon their heads
23:43 Then said I ofsaid herDo thatnot wasmen oldnow incommit adulteriesadultery Nowwhen will they playpractice theharlotry harlot with her and she with them
23:44 AndFor they wenthave gone in untoto her as theymen go in untoto a harlot: soThus they went they in untoto OholahOho′lah and untoto OholibahOhol′ibah theto lewdcommit womenlewdness
23:45 AndBut righteous men they shall judgepass judgment on them with the judgmentsentence of adulteresses and with the judgmentsentence of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses and blood is inupon their hands
23:46 For thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: IBring will bring up a companyhost against them and willmake give them toan beobject tossedof toterror and froa andspoil robbed
23:47 And the companyhost shall stone them with stones and despatchdispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters and burn up their houses with fire
23:48 Thus will I causeput lewdnessan end to ceaselewdness outin of the land that all women may betake taughtwarning and not tocommit dolewdness afteras youryou lewdnesshave done
23:49 And theyyour lewdness shall recompensebe yourrequited lewdness upon you and yeyou shall bear the sinspenalty offor your idolssinful idolatry; and yeyou shall know that I am the Lord JehovahGod
24:1 AgainIn in the ninth year in the tenth month inon the tenth day of the month the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
24:2 Son of man write theedown the name of thethis day even of this selfsamevery day: theThe king of Babylon drewhas closelaid untosiege to Jerusalem this selfsamevery day
24:3 And utter aan parableallegory untoto the rebellious house and say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Set on the caldronpot set it on andpour alsoin pour water into it: also;
24:4 gatherput in it the pieces thereofof intoflesh itall eventhe every good piecepieces the thigh and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones
24:5 Take the choicechoicest one of the flock and also a pile of wood for the boneslogs under the caldronit; makeboil itits boilpieces well;seethe yeaalso letits the bones thereof be boiled in the midst of it
24:6 WhereforeTherefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Woe to the bloody city to the caldronpot whose rust is thereinin it and whose rust ishas not gone out of it takeTake out of it piece after piece; Nowithout lotmaking isany fallenchoice upon it
24:7 For herthe blood she has shed is still in the midst of her; she setput it uponon the bare rock; she poureddid not pour it not upon the ground to cover it with dust
24:8 ThatTo itrouse maymy cause wrath to come up to take vengeance I have set heron blood upon the bare rock the blood she has shed that it shouldmay not be covered
24:9 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Woe to the bloody city I also will make the pile great
24:10 Heap on the woodlogs makekindle the fire hot boil well the flesh and makeempty thickout the broth and let the bones be burned up
24:11 Then set it empty upon the coals thereof that it may bebecome hot and theits brasscopper thereof may burn and that theits filthiness of it may be moltenmelted in it thatits the rust of it may be consumed
24:12 SheIn hathvain weariedI herselfhave withwearied toilmyself; yetits herthick great rust goethdoes not forthgo out of her;it her rust goeth not forth by fire
24:13 InIts thyrust filthiness is your filthy lewdness: becauseBecause I would have cleansed theeyou and thouyou wastwere not cleansed thoufrom shaltyour filthiness you shall not be cleansed from thy filthiness any more till I have causedsatisfied my wrathfury towardupon theeyou to rest
24:14 I Jehovahthe Lord have spoken; it: it shall come to pass and I will do it:; I will not go back neitherI will Inot spare neitherI will Inot repent; according to thyyour ways and accordingyour to thy doings shallI theywill judge theeyou saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
24:15 Also the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
24:16 Son of man behold I takeam awayabout fromto theetake the desiredelight of thineyour eyes withaway from you at a stroke:; yet thouyou shaltshall neithernot mourn noror weep neithernor shall thyyour tears run down
24:17 Sigh but not aloud; make no mourning for the dead; bindBind thyon headtireyour uponturban thee and put thyyour shoes uponon thyyour feet; anddo not cover notyour thy lips andnor eat not the bread of menmourners
24:18 So I spakespoke untoto the people in the morning; and at evenevening my wife died; andAnd Ion didthe innext the morning I did as I was commanded
24:19 And the people said untoto me WiltWill thouyou not tell us what these things aremean tofor us that thouyou doestare soacting thus
24:20 Then I said untoto them The word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
24:21 SpeakSay untoto the house of Israel Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I will profane my sanctuary the pride of your power the desiredelight of your eyes and thatthe whichdesire of your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom yeyou have left behind shall fall by the sword
24:22 And yeyou shall do as I have done:; yeyou shall not cover your lips nor eat the bread of menmourners
24:23 AndYour yourturbans tires shall be uponon your heads and your shoes uponon your feet:; yeyou shall not mourn noror weep; but yeyou shall pine away in your iniquities and moangroan to one toward another
24:24 Thus shall Ezekiel be untoto you a sign; according to all that he hathhas done you shall ye do: whenWhen this comethcomes then shallyou yewill know that I am the Lord JehovahGod
24:25 And thouyou son of man shallon it not be in the day when I take from them their strengthstronghold thetheir joy ofand their glory the desiredelight of their eyes and thattheir whereuponhearts theydesire setand theiralso heart their sons and their daughters
24:26 thaton in that day hea thatfugitive escapethwill shall come untoto theeyou to causereport thee to hearyou itthe withnews thine ears
24:27 InOn that day shallyour thy mouth will be opened to himthe thatfugitive is escaped and thouyou shaltshall speak and be no morelonger dumb: soSo shaltyou thouwill be a sign untoto them; and they shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
25:1 AndThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying

25:6 For thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because thouyou hasthave clapped thyyour hands and stamped withyour the feet and rejoiced with all the despitemalice ofwithin thyyou soul against the land of Israel;
25:7 therefore behold I have stretched out my hand uponagainst theeyou and will deliverhand theeyou forover aas spoil to the nations; and I will cut theeyou off from the peoples and I will causemake theeyou to perish out of the countries:; I will destroy thee;you andThen thouyou shaltwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
25:8 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because that Moab andsaid Seir do say Behold the house of Judah is like unto all the other nations;

33:1 AndThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
33:2 Son of man speak to theyour children of thy people and say untoto them WhenIf I bring the sword upon a land and the people of the land take a man from among them and setmake him for their watchman;
33:3 and if when he seethsees the sword comecoming upon the land heand blowblows the trumpet and warnwarns the people;
33:4 then whosoeverif hearethany one who hears the sound of the trumpet anddoes taketh not take warning ifand the sword comecomes and taketakes him away his blood shall be upon his own head
33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet and tookdid not take warning; his blood shall be upon him;himself whereasBut if he had taken warning he would have deliveredsaved his soullife
33:6 But if the watchman seesees the sword comecoming and blowdoes not blow the trumpet andso that the people beare not warned and the sword comecomes and taketakes any personone fromof among them; hethat man is taken away in his iniquity but his blood I will I require at the watchmans hand
33:7 So thouyou son of man I have setmade thee a watchman untofor the house of Israel; thereforewhenever you hear thea word atfrom my mouth andyou shall give them warning from me
33:8 WhenIf I say untoto the wicked O wicked man thouyou shaltshall surely die and thouyou dostdo not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity but his blood I will I require at thyyour hand
33:9 NeverthelessBut if thouyou warn the wicked of his way to turn from ithis way and he turndoes not turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity but thouyou hastwill deliveredhave thysaved soulyour life
33:10 And thouyou son of man say untoto the house of Israel: Thus yehave speakyou sayingsaid: Our transgressions and our sins are upon us and we pinewaste away inbecause of them; how then can we live
33:11 Say untoto them As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live:; turn yeback turn yeback from your evil ways; for why will yeyou die O house of Israel
33:12 And thouyou son of man say untoto theyour children of thy people The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him inwhen thehe day of his transgressiontransgresses; and as for the wickedness of the wicked he shall not fall therebyby init thewhen day that he turnethturns from his wickedness; neitherand shallthe herighteous thatshall isnot righteous be able to live therebyby inhis therighteousness daywhen that he sinnethsins
33:13 WhenThough I say to the righteous that he shall surely live; yet if he trusttrusts toin his righteousness and commitcommits iniquity none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered; but in histhe iniquity that he hathhas committed thereinhe shall he die
33:14 Again whenthough I say untoto the wicked ThouYou shaltshall surely die; yet if he turnturns from his sin and dodoes thatwhat which is lawful and right;
33:15 if the wicked restorerestores the pledge givegives againback thatwhat which he hadhas taken by robbery walkand walks in the statutes of life committing no iniquity; he shall surely live he shall not die
33:16 None of histhe sins that he hathhas committed shall be remembered against him:; he hathhas done thatwhat which is lawful and right; he shall surely live
33:17 Yet theyour children of thy people say The way of the Lord is not equal:just; butwhen asit foris them their own way that is not equaljust
33:18 When the righteous turnethturns from his righteousness and committethcommits iniquity he shall even die thereinfor it
33:19 And when the wicked turnethturns from his wickedness and doethdoes thatwhat which is lawful and right he shall live therebyby it
33:20 Yet yeyou say The way of the Lord is not equaljust O house of Israel I will judge each of you everyaccording oneto after his ways
33:21 AndIn it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivityexile in the tenth month inon the fifth day of the month thata oneman thatwho had escaped outfrom of Jerusalem came untoto me sayingand said The city ishas smittenfallen
33:22 Now the hand of Jehovahthe Lord had been upon me in the evening before hethe thatfugitive was escaped came; and he had opened my mouth untilby hethe time the man came to me in the morning; andso my mouth was opened and I was no morelonger dumb
33:23 AndThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
33:24 Son of man theythe thatinhabitants inhabitof thosethese waste places in the land of Israel speakkeep saying Abraham was only one andman yet he inheritedgot possession of the land:; but we are many; the land is surely given us forto inheritancepossess
33:25 WhereforeTherefore say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: YeYou eat flesh with the blood and lift up your eyes untoto your idols and shed blood:; and shall yeyou then possess the land
33:26 YeYou standresort uponto yourthe sword yeyou workcommit abominationabominations and yeeach defileof everyyou onedefiles his neighbors wife:; and shall yeyou then possess the land
33:27 ThusSay shaltthis thouto say unto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: As I live surely theythose thatwho are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him that is in the open field I will I give to the beasts to be devoured; and theythose thatwho are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die ofby the pestilence
33:28 And I will make the land a desolation and ana astonishmentwaste; and theher prideproud ofmight hershall powercome shallto ceasean end; and the mountains of Israel shall be so desolate so that none shallwill pass through
33:29 Then shall they will know that I am Jehovahthe Lord when I have made the land a desolation and ana astonishmentwaste because of all their abominations which they have committed
33:30 AndAs as for theeyou son of man theyour childrenpeople ofwho thytalk peopletogether talkabout ofyou thee by the walls and inat the doors of the houses andsay speakto one to another everyeach one to his brother saying Come I pray you and hear what is the word is that comethcomes forth from Jehovahthe Lord
33:31 And they come untoto theeyou as the people comethcome and they sit before theeyou as my people and they hear thywhat wordsyou say but dothey themwill not do it; for with their mouthlips they show much love but their heart goethis afterset on their gain
33:32 And lo thouyou artare untoto them aslike aone verywho lovelysings songlove ofsongs onewith that hath a pleasantbeautiful voice and canplays play well on an instrument; for they hear thywhat wordsyou say but they will not do themit not
33:33 AndWhen when this comethcomes—and tocome pass behold it cometh will—then shall they will know that a prophet hathhas been among them
34:1 AndThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
34:2 Son of man prophesy against the shepherds of Israel prophesy and say untoto them even to the shepherds Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: WoeHo unto the shepherds of Israel thatwho dohave feedbeen themselvesfeeding shouldyourselves Should not the shepherds feed the sheep
34:3 YeYou eat the fat andyou ye clothe youyourselves with the wool yeyou killslaughter the fatlings; but yeyou feeddo not feed the sheep
34:4 The diseasedweak you have ye not strengthened neitherthe sick you have yenot healed thatthe whichcrippled wasyou sick neither have yenot bound up thatthe whichstrayed wasyou broken neither have yenot brought back thatthe whichlost wasyou driven away neither have yenot sought thatand which was lost; but with force and withharshness rigoryou have ye ruled over them
34:5 AndSo they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food tofor all the wild beasts of the field and were scattered
34:6 My sheep were scattered they wandered throughover all the mountains and uponon every high hill:; yea my sheep were scattered uponover all the face of the earth; andwith there was none thatto did search or seek afterfor them
34:7 Therefore yeyou shepherds hear the word of Jehovahthe Lord:
34:8 As I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod surelybecause forasmuch as my sheep becamehave become a prey and my sheep becamehave become food tofor all the wild beasts ofsince the field because there was no shepherd; neitherand didbecause my shepherds searchhave not searched for my sheep but the shepherds have fed themselves and fedhave not fed my sheep;
34:9 therefore yeyou shepherds hear the word of Jehovahthe Lord:
34:10 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod Behold I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand and causeput thema stop to ceasetheir from feeding the sheep; neitherno longer shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; and I will deliverrescue my sheep from their mouthmouths that they may not be food for them
34:11 For thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I I myself even I will search for my sheep and will seek them out
34:12 As a shepherd seekethseeks out his flock inwhen thesome dayof that he is among his sheep thathave arebeen scattered abroad so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliverrescue them outfrom of all places whitherwhere they have been scattered inon thea cloudyday of clouds and darkthick daydarkness
34:13 And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them uponon the mountains of Israel by the watercoursesfountains and in all the inhabited places of the country
34:14 I will feed them with good pasture; and upon the mountainsmountain ofheights the height of Israel shall be their foldpasture; be: there they shall they lie down in a good fold;grazing land and on fat pasture they shall they feed uponon the mountains of Israel
34:15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep and I will causemake them to lie down saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
34:16 I will seek thatthe which was lost and I will bring back thatthe whichstrayed wasand drivenI away and will bind up thatthe whichcrippled wasand brokenI and will strengthen thatthe whichweak wasand sick: but the fat and the strong I will destroywatch over; I will feed them in justice
34:17 AndAs as for you O my flock thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I judge between sheep and sheep the rams and the he goats
34:18 SeemethIs it anot smallenough thingfor unto you to havefeed fedon upon the good pasture butthat yeyou must tread down with your feet the residuerest of your pasture; and to havedrink drunk of the clear waterswater butthat yeyou must foul the residuerest with your feet
34:19 And asmust for my sheep they eat thatwhat whichyou ye have trodden with your feet and they drink thatwhat whichyou ye have fouled with your feet
34:20 Therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod untoto them: Behold I even I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep
34:21 Because yeyou thrustpush with side and with shoulder and pushthrust at all the diseasedweak with your horns till yeyou have scattered them abroad;
34:22 thereforeI will I save my flock and they shall no morelonger be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep
34:23 And I will set up over them one shepherd overmy themservant David and he shall feed them: even my servant David; he shall feed them and he shall be their shepherd
34:24 And I Jehovahthe Lord will be their God and my servant David shall be prince among them; I Jehovahthe Lord have spoken it
34:25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace and willbanish causewild evil beasts tofrom cease out of the land; andso that they shallmay dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods
34:26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will causesend down the showershowers to come down in itstheir season; therethey shall be showers of blessing
34:27 And the treetrees of the field shall yield itstheir fruit and the earth shall yield its increase and they shall be secure in their land; and they shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord when I havebreak broken the bars of their yoke and havedeliver delivered them outfrom of the hand of those thatwho madeenslaved bondmen of them
34:28 AndThey they shall no more be a prey to the nations neithernor shall the beasts of the earthland devour them; but they shall dwell securely and none shall make them afraid
34:29 And I will raiseprovide upfor unto them aprosperous plantationplantations forso renownthat and they shall be no more be consumed with faminehunger in the land neitherand bearno longer suffer the shamereproach of the nations any more
34:30 And they shall know that I Jehovahthe Lord their God am with them and that they the house of Israel are my people saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
34:31 And yeyou are my sheep the sheep of my pasture are men and I am your God saithsays the Lord JehovahGod
35:1 MoreoverThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
35:2 Son of man set thyyour face against mountMount SeirSe′ir and prophesy against it
35:3 and say untoto it Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I am against theeyou OMount mountSe′ir Seir and I will stretch out my hand against theeyou and I will make theeyou a desolation and ana astonishmentwaste
35:4 I will lay thyyour cities waste and thouyou shaltshall bebecome desolatea desolation; and thouyou shaltshall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
35:5 Because thouyou hastcherished had a perpetual enmity and hastgave given over the childrenpeople of Israel to the power of the sword inat the time of their calamity inat the time of thetheir iniquityfinal of the endpunishment;
35:6 therefore as I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod I will prepare theeyou untofor blood and blood shall pursue thee:you; sincebecause thouyou hastare notguilty hatedof blood therefore blood shall pursue theeyou
35:7 ThusI will I make mountMount SeirSe′ir ana astonishmentwaste and a desolation; and I will cut off from it himall thatwho passethcome through and himgo that returneth
35:8 And I will fill itsyour mountains with itsthe slain:; inon thyyour hills and in thyyour valleys and in all thyyour watercoursesravines shallthose they fall that are slain with the sword shall fall
35:9 I will make theeyou a perpetual desolation and thyyour cities shall not be inhabited; andThen yeyou shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
35:10 Because thouyou hast said These two nations and these two countries shall be mine and we will possesstake it;possession whereasof Jehovahthem—although the Lord was there:—
35:11 therefore as I live saithsays the Lord JehovahGod I will dodeal with you according to thinethe anger and according to thine envy which thouyou hast showed outbecause of thyyour hatred against them; and I will make myself known among themyou when I shall judge theeyou
35:12 And thouyou shaltshall know that I Jehovahthe Lord have heard all thythe revilings which thouyou hastuttered spoken against the mountains of Israel saying They are laid desolate they are given us to devour
35:13 And yeyou have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth and have multiplied your words against me:; I have heard it
35:14 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: WhenFor the rejoicing of the whole earth rejoiceth I will make theeyou desolate
35:15 As thouyou didstrejoiced rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate so I will Ideal dowith untoyou; thee:you thoushall shalt be desolate OMount mountSe′ir Seir and all Edom even all of it; andThen they shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
36:1 And thouyou son of man prophesy untoto the mountains of Israel and say YeO mountains of Israel hear the word of Jehovahthe Lord
36:2 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because the enemy hath said againstof you Aha and The ancient highheights placeshave arebecome oursour in possession;
36:3 therefore prophesy and say Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because evenyea because they have made you desolate and swallowedcrushed you upfrom onall everysides sideso that yeyou mightbecame bethe a possession untoof the residuerest of the nations and yeyou arebecame taken up in the lipstalk of talkers and the evil reportgossip of the people;
36:4 therefore yeO mountains of Israel hear the word of the Lord JehovahGod: Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod to the mountains and to the hills to the watercoursesravines and to the valleys to the desolate wastes and to the deserted cities that are forsaken which arehave become a prey and derision to the residuerest of the nations that are round about;
36:5 therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: SurelyI speak in themy firehot of my jealousy have I spoken against the residuerest of the nations and against all Edom thatwho havegave appointed my land untoto themselves foras a possession with thewholehearted joy ofand allutter theircontempt heartthat withthey despitemight ofpossess soulit toand castplunder it out for a prey
36:6 Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say untoto the mountains and to the hills to the watercoursesravines and to the valleys Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I havespeak spoken in my jealousyjealous and in my wrath because yeyou have bornesuffered the shamereproach of the nations:;
36:7 therefore thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: I haveswear swornthat saying Surely the nations that are round about you they shall bearthemselves theirsuffer shamereproach
36:8 But yeyou O mountains of Israel ye shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people Israel; for they arewill atsoon handcome tohome come
36:9 For behold I am for you and I will turn untoto you and yeyou shall be tilled and sown;
36:10 and I will multiply men upon you all the whole house of Israel even all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the waste places shall be buildedrebuilt;
36:11 and I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited afteras in your former estatetimes and will do bettermore untogood to you than atever yourbefore beginnings:Then andyou yewill shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
36:12 Yea I will causelet men to walk upon you even my people Israel; and they shall possess theeyou and thouyou shaltshall be their inheritance and thouyou shaltshall no morelonger henceforth bereave them of children
36:13 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Because theymen say untoto you ThouYou landdevour art a devourer of men and hastyou beenbereave ayour bereavernation of thychildren nation;
36:14 therefore thouyou shaltshall no longer devour men and no morelonger neither bereave thyyour nation anyof morechildren saithsays the Lord JehovahGod;
36:15 neitherand I will Inot let theeyou hear any more the shamereproach of the nations neitherand shaltyou thoushall no longer bear the reproachdisgrace of the peoples anyand moreno neitherlonger shalt thou cause thyyour nation to stumble anysays more saith the Lord JehovahGod
36:16 MoreoverThe the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto me: saying
36:17 Son of man when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land they defiled it by their wayways and by their doings:; their wayconduct before me was aslike the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity
36:18 WhereforeSo I poured out my wrath upon them for the blood which they had pouredshed outin upon the land andfor becausethe idols with which they had defiled it with their idols;
36:19 and I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed through the countries:; accordingin toaccordance with their wayconduct and according to their doingsdeeds I judged them
36:20 AndBut when they came untoto the nations whitherwherever they wentcame they profaned my holy name; in that men said of them These are the people of Jehovahthe Lord and areyet gonethey forthhad to go out of his land
36:21 But I had regardconcern for my holy name which the house of Israel hadcaused to be profaned among the nations whitherto which they wentcame
36:22 Therefore say untoto the house of Israel Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: IIt dois not this for your sake O house of Israel that I am about to act but for the sake of my holy name which yeyou have profaned among the nations whitherto yewhich wentyou came
36:23 And I will sanctifyvindicate the holiness of my great name which hathhas been profaned among the nations and which yeyou have profaned inamong the midst of them; and the nations shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe saithLord says the Lord JehovahGod when Ithrough shallyou beI sanctifiedvindicate inmy youholiness before their eyes
36:24 For I will take you from among the nations and gather you outfrom of all the countries and will bring you into your own land
36:25 And I will sprinkle clean water upon you and yeyou shall be clean: from all your filthinessuncleannesses and from all your idols I will I cleanse you
36:26 A new heart alsoI will I give you and a new spirit I will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh andthe Iheart willof stone and give you a heart of flesh
36:27 And I will put my Spiritspirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and yebe shallcareful keepto mineobserve my ordinances and do them
36:28 AndYou ye shall dwell in the land thatwhich I gave to your fathers; and yeyou shall be my people and I will be your God
36:29 And I will savedeliver you from all your uncleannesses:; and I will callsummon for the grain and willmake multiply it abundant and lay no famine upon you
36:30 And I will multiplymake the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field abundant that yeyou may receivenever noagain moresuffer the reproachdisgrace of famine among the nations
36:31 Then shallyou yewill remember your evil ways and your doingsdeeds that were not good; and yeyou shallwill loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominationsabominable deeds
36:32 NotIt is not for your sake dothat I thiswill saithact says the Lord JehovahGod; let that be it known untoto you: beBe ashamed and confounded for your ways O house of Israel
36:33 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: InOn the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities I will cause the cities to be inhabited and the waste places shall be buildedrebuilt
36:34 And the land that was desolate shall be tilled whereasinstead itof wasbeing athe desolation that it was in the sight of all thatwho passed by
36:35 And they shallwill say This land that was desolate ishas become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are fortifiednow inhabited and inhabitedfortified
36:36 Then the nations that are left round about you shall know that I Jehovahthe Lord have buildedrebuilt the ruined places and plantedreplanted that which was desolate:; I Jehovahthe Lord have spoken it and I will do it
36:37 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: ForThis thisalso moreoverI will Ilet be inquired of by the house of Israel ask me to do it for them: Ito will increase themtheir with men like a flock
36:38 AsLike the flock for sacrificesacrifices aslike the flock ofat Jerusalem induring her appointed feasts so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; andThen they shallwill know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
37:1 The hand of Jehovahthe Lord was upon me and he brought me out inby the Spirit of Jehovahthe Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones
37:2 And he causedled me toround passamong by them; round about: and behold there were very many inupon the open valley; and lo they were very dry
37:3 And he said untoto me Son of man can these bones live And I answered O Lord JehovahGod thou knowest
37:4 Again he said untoto me Prophesy overto these bones and say untoto them O ye dry bones hear the word of Jehovahthe Lord
37:5 Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod untoto these bones: Behold I will cause breath to enter into you and yeyou shall live
37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you and will bringcause up flesh to come upon you and cover you with skin and put breath in you and yeyou shall live; and yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord
37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded:; and as I prophesied there was a noise and behold ana earthquakerattling; and the bones came together bone to its bone
37:8 And as I beheldlooked and lo there were sinews uponon them and flesh camehad upcome upon them and skin had covered them above; but there was no breath in them
37:9 Then he said heto unto me Prophesy untoto the windbreath prophesy son of man and say to the windbreath Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Come from the four winds O breath and breathe upon these slain that they may live
37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me and the breath came into them and they lived and stood up upon their feet an exceedingexceedingly great armyhost
37:11 Then he said untoto me Son of man these bones are the whole house of Israel: beholdBehold they say Our bones are dried up and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off
37:12 Therefore prophesy and say untoto them Thus saithsays the Lord JehovahGod: Behold I will open your graves and causeraise you tofrom come up out of your graves O my people; and I will bring you home into the land of Israel
37:13 And yeyou shall know that I am Jehovahthe Lord when I haveopen opened your graves and causedraise you tofrom come up out of your graves O my people
37:14 And I will put my Spirit inwithin you and yeyou shall live and I will place you in your own land:; andthen yeyou shall know that I Jehovahthe Lord have spoken it and performedI have done it saithsays Jehovahthe Lord
37:15 The word of Jehovahthe Lord came againto unto me: saying
37:16 AndSon thou son of man take theea one stick and write uponon it For Judah and for the children of Israel hisassociated companions:with him; then take another stick and write upon it For Joseph the stick of EphraimE′phraim and for all the house of Israel hisassociated companions:with him;
37:17 and join them fortogether thee one to another into one stick that they may become one in thyyour hand
