For I know how manifoldmany are your transgressions and how mightygreat are your sins—ye thatyou who afflict the justrighteous thatwho take a bribe and that turn aside the needy in the gate from their right |
| 5:13 |
Therefore he thatwho is prudent shallwill keep silencesilent in such a time; for it is an evil time |
| 5:14 |

| 5:20 |
ShallIs not the day of Jehovahthe beLord darkness and not light evenand verygloom darkwith and no brightness in it |

| 5:23 |
Take thou away from me the noise of thyyour songs; forto Ithe willmelody notof hearyour theharps melodyI ofwill thynot viols listen |
| 5:24 |
But let justice roll down aslike waters and righteousness aslike aan mightyeverflowing stream |
| 5:25 |
Did yeyou bring untoto me sacrifices and offerings the forty years in the wilderness forty years O house of Israel |
| 5:26 |
YeaYou yeshall havetake borneup theSakkuth tabernacle of your king and theKaiwan shrine of your images the star ofgod your godimages which yeyou made tofor yourselves; |

—yeO thatyou who put far away the evil day and causebring near the seat of violence to come near; |
| 6:4 |
thatWoe to those who lie upon beds of ivory and stretch themselves upon their couches and eat the lambs outfrom of the flock and the calves outfrom of the midst of the stall; |
| 6:5 |
thatwho sing idle songs to the sound of the viol;harp thatand like David invent for themselves instruments of music like David; |
| 6:6 |
thatwho drink wine in bowls and anoint themselves with the chieffinest oils; but they are not grieved forover the afflictionruin of Joseph |
| 6:7 |
Therefore they shall they now gobe captive with the first thatof those to go captive;into exile and the revelry of themthose thatwho stretchedstretch themselves shall pass away |
| 6:8 |
The Lord JehovahGod hathhas sworn by himself saithsays Jehovahthe Lord the God of hosts: I abhor the excellencypride of Jacob and hate his palacesstrongholds; thereforeand I will I deliver up the city withand all that is thereinin it |
