The elder untoto the elect lady and her children whom I love in the truth; and not only I only but also all theywho that know the truth; |

Grace mercy and peace shallwill be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Fathers Son of the Father in truth and love |

I rejoicerejoiced greatly thatto Ifind havesome found certain of thyyour children walkingfollowing inthe truth evenjust as we receivedhave commandmentbeen fromcommanded by the Father |

And now I beseechbeg theeyou lady not as though I wrotewere towriting theeyou a new commandment but thatthe whichone we have had from the beginning that we love one another |

And this is love that we shouldfollow walk after his commandments; Thisthis is the commandment even as yeyou have heard from the beginning that yeyou shouldfollow walklove in it |

For many deceivers arehave gone forthout into the world evenmen theywho thatwill confess not thatacknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ cometh in the flesh; Thissuch a one is the deceiver and the antichrist |

Look to yourselves that yeyou losemay not thelose thingswhat whichyou we have wroughtworked for but thatmay yewin receive a full reward |

WhosoeverAny goethone onwardwho goes ahead and abidethdoes not abide in the teachingdoctrine of Christ hathdoes not have God:; he thatwho abidethabides in the teachingdoctrine thehas same hath both the Father and the Son |

If any one comethcomes untoto you and bringethdoes not bring this teachingdoctrine do not receive him not into yourthe house andor give him noany greeting:; |

for he thatwho givethgreets him greetingshares partaketh in his evilwicked workswork |

HavingThough manyI thingshave much to write untoto you I would rather not writeuse them with paper and ink: but I hope to come untoto see you and totalk speakwith you face to face so that yourour joy may be made full complete |
