1:2 which heHe promised aforebeforehand through hisHis prophets in the holy scripturesScriptures,
1:3 concerning hisHis Son, who was born of thea seeddescendant of David according to the flesh,
1:4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the spiritSpirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; even Jesus Christ our Lord,
1:5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship, untoto bring about the obedience of faith among all the nationsGentiles, for hisHis names sake;,
1:6 among whom you also are yethe also, called toof be Jesus Christs:Christ;

1:10 always in my prayers making request, if byperhaps any means now at lengthlast I may be prospered by the will of God toI comemay untosucceed in coming to you.
1:11 For I long to see you, in order that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to theyou, endthat yeyou may be established;
1:12 that is, that I with you may be comfortedencouraged intogether with you while among you, each of us by the others faith, both yours and mine.
1:13 And I woulddo not havewant you ignorantto be unaware, brethren, that oftentimesoften I purposedhave planned to come untoto you and washave hinderedbeen hitherto,prevented thus far in order that I might haveobtain some fruit inamong you also, even as inamong the rest of the Gentiles.
1:14 I am debtorunder obligation both to Greeks and to Barbariansbarbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.
1:15 SoThus, asfor muchmy as in me ispart, I am readyeager to preach the gospel to you also thatwho are in Rome.
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel:, for it is the power of God untofor salvation to everyeveryone onewho thatbelieves, believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1:17 For thereinin isit revealedthe a righteousness of God is revealed from faith untoto faith:; as it is written, But the righteous man shall live by faith.
1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hindersuppress the truth in unrighteousness;,
1:19 because that which is known ofabout God is manifestevident inwithin them; for God manifestedmade it untoevident to them.
1:20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world areHis clearlyinvisible seenattributes, beingHis perceivedeternal throughpower theand thingsdivine thatnature, arehave madebeen clearly seen, evenbeing hisunderstood everlastingthrough powerwhat andhas divinity;been made, so that they mayare be without excuse:.
1:21 becauseFor that,even knowingthough they knew God, they glorifieddid him not honor Him as God, neitheror gavegive thanks; but they became vainfutile in their reasoningsspeculations, and their senselessfoolish heart was darkened.
1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
1:23 and changedexchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for thean likenessimage ofin anthe imageform of corruptible man, and of birds, and four footed beasts,animals and creepingcrawling thingscreatures.
1:24 WhereforeTherefore God gave them upover in the lusts of their hearts untoto uncleannessimpurity, that their bodies shouldmight be dishonored among themselves:them.
1:25 forFor that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshippedworshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for everforever. Amen.
1:26 For this causereason God gave them upover untoto viledegrading passions:; for their women changedexchanged the natural usefunction intofor that which is against nature:unnatural,
1:27 and likewisein the same way also the men, leavingabandoned the natural usefunction of the woman, and burned in their lustdesire toward one toward another, men with men workingcommitting unseemliness,indecent acts and receiving in themselvestheir thatown recompensepersons the due penalty of their error which was due.
1:28 And evenjust as they refuseddid not see fit to haveacknowledge God inany their knowledgelonger, God gave them upover untoto a reprobatedepraved mind, to do those things which are not fitting;proper,
1:29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousnessgreed, maliciousnessevil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignitymalice; whisperersthey are gossips,
1:30 backbitersslanderers, hatefulhaters toof God, insolent, haughtyarrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
1:31 without understanding, covenant breakersuntrustworthy, without natural affectionunloving, unmerciful:;
1:32 whoand, knowingalthough they know the ordinance of God, that theythose thatwho practisepractice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also consentgive withhearty themapproval thatto practisethose who practice them.
2:1 WhereforeTherefore thouyou artare without excuse, Oevery man, whosoeverof thouyou artwho thatpasses judgest:judgment, for whereinin thouthat judgestyou judge another, thouyou condemnestcondemn thyselfyourself; for thouyou thatwho judgestjudge dostpractice practise the same things.
2:2 And we know that the judgment of God isrightly accordingfalls toupon truththose againstwho thempractice that practise such things.
2:3 And reckonestdo thouyou suppose this, O man, whowhen judgestyou thempass thatjudgment practiseupon those who practice such things, and doestdo the same yourself, that thouyou shaltwill escape the judgment of God?
2:4 Or despisestdo thouyou think lightly of the riches of hisHis goodnesskindness and forbearance and longsufferingpatience, not knowing that the goodnesskindness of God leadethleads theeyou to repentance?
2:5 butBut afterbecause thyof hardnessyour stubbornness and impenitentunrepentant heart treasurestyou are storing up wrath for thyselfyourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;,
2:6 who will render to every man according to his worksdeeds:
2:7 to themthose thatwho by patienceperseverance in well doing good seek for glory and honor and incorruptionimmortality, eternal life:;
2:8 but untoto themthose thatwho are factious,selfishly ambitious and obeydo not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation,.
2:9 There will be tribulation and anguish,distress uponfor every soul of man thatwho workethdoes evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek;,
2:10 but glory and honor and peace to every man thatwho workethdoes good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:.
2:11 forFor there is no respectpartiality of persons with God.
2:12 For asall manywho as have sinned without the lawLaw shallwill also perish without the law:Law; and asall manywho as have sinned under the lawLaw shallwill be judged by the lawLaw;
2:13 for not the hearers of the lawLaw are just before God, but the doers of the lawLaw shallwill be justified;.
2:14 forFor when Gentiles thatwho havedo not have the lawLaw do byinstinctively nature the things of the lawLaw, these, not having the lawLaw, are thea law untoto themselves;,
2:15 in that they show the work of the lawLaw written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness therewith, and their thoughts onealternately with another accusing or else excusingdefending them;,
2:16 inon the day when, according to my gospel, God shallwill judge the secrets of men, accordingthrough toChrist my gospel, by Jesus Christ.
2:17 But if thouyou bearestbear the name of a Jew, and restestrely upon the lawLaw, and gloriestboast in God,
2:18 and knowestknow hisHis will, and approvestapprove the things that are excellentessential, being instructed out of the lawLaw,
2:19 and artare confident that thouyou thyselfyourself artare a guide ofto the blind, a light ofto themthose thatwho are in darkness,
2:20 a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babesthe immature, having in the lawLaw the formembodiment of knowledge and of the truth;,
2:21 thouyou, therefore, thatwho teachestteach another, teachestdo thouyou not thyselfteach yourself? thouYou thatwho preachestpreach athat manone should not steal, dostdo thouyou steal?
2:22 thouYou thatwho sayestsay athat manone should not commit adultery, dostdo thouyou commit adultery? thouYou thatwho abhorrestabhor idols, dostdo thouyou rob temples?
2:23 thouYou who gloriestboast in the lawLaw, through thyyour transgressionbreaking of the lawLaw, dishonorestdo thouyou dishonor God?
2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, evenjust as it is written.
2:25 For indeed circumcision indeedis profitethof value, if thouyou bepractice a doer of the law:Law; but if thouyou beare a transgressor of the lawLaw, thyyour circumcision ishas become uncircumcision.
2:26 If therefore the uncircumcisionuncircumcised keepman keeps the ordinancesrequirements of the lawLaw, shallwill not his uncircumcision be reckonedregarded foras circumcision?
2:27 andAnd shallwill not thehe uncircumcisionwho which is byphysically natureuncircumcised, if ithe fulfilkeeps the lawLaw, will he not judge thee,you who withthough having the letter of the Law and circumcision artare a transgressor of the lawLaw?
2:28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is circumcision that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:.
2:29 butBut he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, inby the spiritSpirit, not inby the letter; whoseand his praise is not offrom men, but offrom God.
3:1 WhatThen what advantage thenhas hath the Jew? orOr what is the profitbenefit of circumcision?
3:2 MuchGreat in every way:respect. firstFirst of all, that they were intrustedentrusted with the oracles of God.
3:3 ForWhat whatthen? ifIf some weredid withoutnot faith?believe, shall their wantunbelief ofwill faithnot makenullify of none effect the faithfulness of God, will it?
3:4 GodMay forbid:it yeanever be! Rather, let God be found true, butthough every man be found a liar;, as it is written, That thouThou mightest be justified in thyThy words, And mightest prevail when thouThou comestart into judgmentjudged.
3:5 But if our unrighteousness commendethdemonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? IsThe God unrighteous who visitethinflicts withwrath wrathis not unrighteous, is He? I speakam afterspeaking thein mannerhuman of menterms.
3:6 GodMay forbid:it fornever thenbe! For otherwise how shallwill God judge the world?
3:7 But if through my lie the truth of God through my lie abounded untoto hisHis glory, why am I also still being judged as a sinner?
3:8 andAnd why not say as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say, Let us do evil, that good may come ? whoseTheir condemnation is just.
3:9 What then? areAre we better than they? No,Not inat noall; wise: for we beforehave laidalready tocharged thethat charge both of Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin;
3:10 as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not even one;
3:11 There is none thatwho understandethunderstands, There is none thatwho seekethseeks afterfor God;
3:12 TheyAll have all turned aside, together they arehave together become unprofitableuseless; There is none thatwho doethdoes good, no,There is not soeven much as one:.
3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre;grave, With their tongues they havekeep useddeceiving, deceit: The poison of asps is under their lips:;
3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:;
3:15 Their feet are swift to shed blood;,
3:16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;paths,
3:17 And the waypath of peace have they not known:.
3:19 Now we know that whatwhatever things soever the lawLaw saithsays, it speakethspeaks to themthose thatwho are under the law;Law, that every mouth may be stoppedclosed, and all the world may bebecome broughtaccountable underto the judgment of God:;
3:20 because by the works of the lawLaw shall no flesh will be justified in hisHis sight; for through the lawLaw comethcomes the knowledge of sin.
3:21 But now apart from the lawLaw athe righteousness of God hathhas been manifested, being witnessed by the lawLaw and the prophets;Prophets,
3:22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ untofor all themthose thatwho believe; for there is no distinction;
3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;,
3:24 being justified freelyas a gift by hisHis grace through the redemption thatwhich is in Christ Jesus:;
3:25 whom God setdisplayed forthpublicly toas be a propitiation, in His blood through faith,. inThis hiswas blood, to showdemonstrate hisHis righteousness, because ofin the passingforbearance over of theGod sinsHe donepassed aforetime,over in the forbearancesins ofpreviously Godcommitted;
3:26 for the showingdemonstration, I say, of hisHis righteousness at thisthe present season:time, that heHe might himself be just, and the justifier of himthe thatone hathwho has faith in Jesus.
3:27 Where then is the gloryingboasting? It is excluded. By what mannerkind of law? ofOf works? Nay:No, but by a law of faith.
3:28 WeFor reckonwe thereforemaintain that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the lawLaw.
3:29 Or is God the God of Jews only? isIs heHe not the God of Gentiles also? YeaYes, of Gentiles also:,
3:30 ifsince soindeed be that God iswho one,will and he shall justify the circumcisioncircumcised by faith, and the uncircumcisionuncircumcised through faith is one.
3:31 Do we then makenullify the lawLaw of none effect through faith? GodMay forbid:it naynever be! On the contrary, we establish the lawLaw.
4:1 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, hath found according to the flesh, has found?
4:2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he hathhas whereofsomething to gloryboast about; but not towardbefore God.
4:3 For what saithdoes the scriptureScripture say? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned untoto him foras righteousness.
4:4 Now to himthe thatone workethwho works, thehis rewardwage is not reckoned as ofa gracefavor, but as ofwhat debtis due.
4:5 But to himthe thatone workethwho does not work, but believethbelieves onin himHim thatwho justifiethjustifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned foras righteousness.,
4:6 Evenjust as David also pronouncethspeaks of the blessing upon the man, untoto whom God reckonethreckons righteousness apart from works,:
4:7 saying, Blessed are theythose whose iniquitieslawless aredeeds have been forgiven, And whose sins arehave been covered.
4:8 Blessed is the man towhose whomsin the Lord will not reckontake sininto account.
4:9 Is this blessing then pronounced upon the circumcisioncircumcised, or upon the uncircumcisionuncircumcised also? forFor we say, ToFaith Abrahamwas hisreckoned faithto wasAbraham reckonedas for righteousness.
4:10 How then was it reckoned? whenWhile he was in circumcisioncircumcised, or in uncircumcisionuncircumcised? Not inwhile circumcisioncircumcised, but inwhile uncircumcision:uncircumcised;
4:11 and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while heuncircumcised, was in uncircumcision: that he might be the father of all themwho that believe, thoughwithout theybeing be in uncircumcisioncircumcised, that righteousness might be reckoned untoto them;,
4:12 and the father of circumcision to themthose who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walkfollow in the steps of thatthe faith of our father Abraham which he had inwhile uncircumcisionuncircumcised.
4:13 For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seeddescendants that he shouldwould be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.
4:14 For if theythose thatwho are of the lawLaw are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:nullified;
4:15 for the lawLaw workethbrings about wrath;, but where there is no law, neither is there transgressionviolation.
4:16 For this causereason it is ofby faith, that it maymight be accordingin toaccordance with grace;, toin theorder end that the promise may be surecertain to all the seed;descendants, not only to thatthose onlywho whichare is of the lawLaw, but also to thatthose alsowho whichare is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
4:17 as it is written, A father of many nations have I made theeyou beforein himthe sight of Him whom he believed, even God, who givethgives life to the dead, and callethcalls theinto thingsbeing that arewhich does not, as though they wereexist.
4:18 WhoIn in hope believed against hope he believed, toin theorder end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thyyour seeddescendants be.
4:19 And without beingbecoming weakenedweak in faith he consideredcontemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he beingwas about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarahs womb;
4:20 yet, lookingwith untorespect to the promise of God, he wavereddid not throughwaver in unbelief, but waxedgrew strong throughin faith, giving glory to God,
4:21 and being fully assured that what heHe had promised, heHe was able also to perform.
4:22 WhereforeTherefore also it was reckoned untoto him foras righteousness.
4:23 Now it was not written for his sake aloneonly was it written, that it was reckoned untoto him;,
4:24 but for our sake also, untoto whom it shallwill be reckoned, as those who believe onin himHim thatwho raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
4:25 He who was delivered up forbecause of our trespassestransgressions, and was raised forbecause of our justification.
5:1 BeingTherefore thereforehaving been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;,
5:2 through whom also we have hadobtained our accessintroduction by faith into this grace whereinin which we stand; and we rejoiceexult in hope of the glory of God.
5:3 And not only sothis, but we also rejoiceexult in our tribulations:, knowing that tribulation workethbrings stedfastnessabout perseverance;
5:4 and stedfastnessperseverance, approvednessproven character; and approvednessproven character, hope:;
5:5 and hope puttethdoes not todisappoint, shame; because the love of God hathhas been shedpoured abroadout inwithin our hearts through the Holy Spirit whichwho was given untoto us.
5:6 For while we were yetstill weakhelpless, inat duethe seasonright time Christ died for the ungodly.
5:7 For scarcelyone will hardly die for a righteous man; willthough oneperhaps die: for peradventure for the good man somesomeone one would dare even dare to die.
5:8 But God commendethdemonstrates hisHis own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
5:9 Much more then, beinghaving now been justified by hisHis blood, we shall we be saved from the wrath of God through himHim.
5:10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of hisHis Son, much more, beinghaving been reconciled, we shall we be saved by hisHis life;.
5:11 andAnd not only sothis, but we also rejoiceexult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin;, and so death passedspread untoto all men, forbecause that all sinned:—
5:13 for until the lawLaw sin was in the world; but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over themthose thatwho had not sinned afterin the likeness of Adamsthe transgressionoffense of Adam, who is a figuretype of himHim thatwho was to come.
5:15 But notthe asfree thegift trespass,is sonot alsolike is the free gifttransgression. For if by the trespasstransgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one manMan, Jesus Christ, abound untoto the many.
5:16 And the gift is not aslike that which came through the one thatwho sinned,; sofor ison the gift:one forhand the judgment camearose offrom one untotransgression resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift camearose offrom many trespassestransgressions untoresulting in justification.
5:17 For if, by the trespasstransgression of the one, death reigned through the one;, much more shallthose theywho that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the oneOne, even Jesus Christ.
5:18 So then as through one trespasstransgression thethere judgmentresulted camecondemnation untoto all men, to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness thethere freeresulted giftjustification cameof untolife to all men to justification of life.
5:19 For as through the one mans disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the oneOne shall the many will be made righteous.
5:20 And the lawLaw came in besides, that the trespasstransgression might aboundincrease; but where sin aboundedincreased, grace didabounded aboundall the more exceedingly:,
5:21 that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace might grace reign through righteousness untoto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
6:1 What shall we say then? ShallAre we to continue in sin, that grace maymight aboundincrease?
6:2 GodMay forbid.it Wenever be! How shall we who died to sin, howstill shalllive wein any longer live thereinit?
6:3 Or aredo yeyou ignorantnot know that all weof us who werehave been baptized into Christ Jesus werehave been baptized into hisHis death?
6:4 WeTherefore werewe have been buried therefore with himHim through baptism into death:, in order that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we alsotoo might walk in newness of life.
6:5 For if we have become united with himHim in the likeness of hisHis death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of hisHis resurrection;,
6:6 knowing this, that our old manself was crucified with himHim, that theour body of sin might be done away with, that so we should no longer be inslaves bondage to sin;
6:7 for he thatwho hathhas died is justifiedfreed from sin.
6:8 ButNow if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him;Him,
6:9 knowing that Christ, beinghaving been raised from the dead, diethis nonever moreto die again; death no morelonger hathis dominionmaster over himHim.
6:10 For the death that heHe died, heHe died untoto sin, once: for all; but the life that heHe livethlives, heHe livethlives untoto God.
6:11 Even so reckonconsider ye also yourselves to be dead untoto sin, but alive untoto God in Christ Jesus.
6:12 LetTherefore do not let sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that yeyou should obey theits lusts thereof:,
6:13 neitherand presentdo yournot go on presenting the members untoof your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves untoto God, as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness untoto God.
6:14 For sin shall not havebe dominionmaster over you:, for yeyou are not under law, but under grace.
6:15 What then? shallShall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? GodMay forbid.it never be!
6:16 KnowDo yeyou not, know that towhen whomyou ye present yourselves to someone as servantsslaves untofor obedience, hisyou servantsare yeslaves areof the one whom yeyou obey;, whethereither of sin untoresulting in death, or of obedience untoresulting in righteousness?
6:17 But thanks be to God, that, whereasthough yeyou were servantsslaves of sin, yeyou became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereuntoto yewhich you were delivered;committed,
6:18 and beinghaving madebeen freefreed from sin, yeyou became servantsslaves of righteousness.
6:19 I speakam afterspeaking thein mannerhuman ofterms men because of the infirmityweakness of your flesh:. forFor just as yeyou presented your members as servantsslaves to uncleannessimpurity and to iniquitylawlessness, untoresulting iniquityin further lawlessness, even so now present your members as servantsslaves to righteousness, untoresulting in sanctification.
6:20 For when yeyou were servantsslaves of sin, yeyou were free in regard ofto righteousness.
6:21 WhatTherefore fruitwhat thenbenefit hadwere yeyou atthen thatderiving timefrom in the things whereofof yewhich you are now ashamed? forFor the endoutcome of those things is death.
6:22 But now beinghaving madebeen freefreed from sin and becomeenslaved servants to God, yeyou havederive your fruitbenefit, untoresulting in sanctification, and the endoutcome, eternal life.
6:23 For the wages of sin is death;, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
7:1 Or aredo yeyou ignorantnot know, brethren for I speakam speaking to menthose who know the law, that the law hathhas dominionjurisdiction over a manperson foras so long time as he livethlives?
7:2 For the married woman that hath a husband is bound by law to theher husband while he livethis living; but if theher husband diedies, she is dischargedreleased from the law ofconcerning the husband.
7:3 So then if, while theher husband livethis living, she beis joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress:; but if theher husband diedies, she is free from the law, so that she is nonot an adulteress, though she beis joined to another man.
7:4 WhereforeTherefore, my brethren, yeyou also were made deadto die to the lawLaw through the body of Christ;, that yeyou shouldmight be joined to another, even to himHim who was raised from the dead, that we might bringbear forth fruit untofor God.
7:5 For whenwhile we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were througharoused by the lawLaw, wroughtwere at work in ourthe members of our body to bringbear forth fruit untofor death.
7:6 But now we have been dischargedreleased from the lawLaw, having died to that whereinby which we were held;bound, so that we serve in newness of the spirit,Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
7:7 What shall we say then? Is the lawLaw sin? GodMay forbid.it Howbeitnever be! On the contrary, I hadwould not knownhave come to know sin, except through the law:Law; for I hadwould not have known about coveting, exceptif the lawLaw had not said, ThouYou shaltshall not covet:.
7:8 butBut sin, findingtaking occasion,opportunity wrought in me through the commandment, allproduced mannerin ofme coveting: of every kind; for apart from the lawLaw sin is dead.
7:9 And I was once alive apart from the lawLaw; once: but when the commandment came, sin revivedbecame alive, and I died;
7:10 and thethis commandment, which was untoto result in life, thisproved Ito foundresult toin bedeath untofor death:me;
7:11 for sin, findingtaking occasion,opportunity through the commandment, beguileddeceived me, and through it slewkilled me.
7:12 So thatthen, the lawLaw is holy, and the commandment is holy, and righteous, and good.
7:13 DidTherefore thendid that which is good become a cause of death untofor me? GodMay forbid.it Butnever be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin, by workingeffecting my death to me through that which is good;—, that through the commandment sin might become exceedingutterly sinful.
7:14 For we know that the lawLaw is spiritual:; but I am carnalof flesh, sold underinto bondage to sin.
7:15 For that which I doam doing, I knowdo not: understand; for I am not practicing what I would, thatlike to do, but I practise;am butdoing whatthe Ivery hate,thing that I dohate.
7:16 But if whatI do the very thing I woulddo not, thatwish Ito do, I consentagree untowith the lawLaw, confessing that it is good.
7:17 So now, itno islonger noam more I thatthe doone doing it, but sin which dwellethindwells in me.
7:18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh,; dwelleth no good thing: for tothe willwishing is present within me, but tothe dodoing thatof whichthe is good is not.
7:19 For the good whichthat I wouldwish, I do not: do; but I practice the very evil whichthat I woulddo not, that I practisewish.
7:20 But if what I wouldam not,doing thatthe very thing I do not wish, itI isam no morelonger Ithe thatone dodoing it, but sin which dwellethdwells in me.
7:21 I find then the law,principle that, toevil is present in me, the one who wouldwishes to do good, evil is present.
7:22 For I delightjoyfully inconcur with the law of God afterin the inwardinner man:,
7:23 but I see a different law in the members of my membersbody, warringwaging war against the law of my mind, and bringingmaking me intoa captivityprisoner underof the law of sin which is in my members.
7:24 Wretched man that I am! whoWho shallwill deliverset me outfree offrom the body of this death?
7:25 IThanks thankbe to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.! So then, on the one hand I of myself with themy mind, indeed,am serveserving the law of God;, but withon the other, with my flesh the law of sin.
8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation tofor themthose thatwho are in Christ Jesus.
8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus madehas meset you free from the law of sin and of death.
8:3 For what the lawLaw could not do, inweak thatas it was weak through the flesh, God, did: sending hisHis own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh:,
8:4 in order that the ordinancerequirement of the lawLaw might be fulfilled in us, who walkdo not afterwalk according to the flesh, but afteraccording to the Spirit.
8:5 For theythose thatwho are afteraccording to the flesh mindset their minds on the things of the flesh;, but theythose thatwho are afteraccording to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
8:6 For the mind ofset on the flesh is death;, but the mind ofset on the Spirit is life and peace:,
8:7 because the mind ofset on the flesh is enmityhostile againsttoward God; for it isdoes not subject itself to the law of God, neitherfor indeedit canis itnot be:even able to do so;
8:8 and theythose thatwho are in the flesh cannot please God.
8:9 ButHowever, yeyou are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if soindeed be that the Spirit of God dwellethdwells in you. But if anyanyone mandoes hath not have the Spirit of Christ, he isdoes nonenot ofbelong histo Him.
8:10 And if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin;, butyet the spirit is lifealive because of righteousness.
8:11 But if the Spirit of himHim thatwho raised up Jesus from the dead dwellethdwells in you, heHe thatwho raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shallwill also give life also to your mortal bodies through hisHis Spirit thatwho dwellethindwells in you.
8:12 So then, brethren, we are debtorsunder obligation, not to the flesh, to live afteraccording to the flesh:
8:13 for if yeyou liveare afterliving according to the flesh, yeyou must die; but if by the Spirit yeyou putare putting to death the deeds of the body, yeyou shallwill live.
8:14 For asall manywho as are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
8:15 For yeyou receivedhave not thereceived a spirit of bondageslavery againleading untoto fear; again, but yeyou have received thea spirit of adoption, wherebyas sons by which we cry out, Abba,! Father.!
8:16 The Spirit himselfHimself bearethbears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:,
8:17 and if children, then heirs; also, heirs of God, and jointfellow heirs with Christ;, if soindeed be that we suffer with him,Him in order that we may also be also glorified with himHim.
8:18 For I reckonconsider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory whichthat shallis to be revealed to us ward.
8:19 For the earnestanxious expectationlonging of the creation waitethwaits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
8:20 For the creation was subjected to vanityfutility, not of its own will, but bybecause reason of himHim who subjected it, in hope
8:21 that the creation itself also shallwill be deliveredset free from theits bondageslavery ofto corruption into the libertyfreedom of the glory of the children of God.
8:22 For we know that the whole creation groanethgroans and travailethsuffers inthe painpains of childbirth together until now.
8:23 And not only sothis, but also we ourselves also, whohaving have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption, toas witsons, the redemption of our body.
8:24 For in hope were we have been saved:, but hope that is seen is not hope:; for whowhy hopethdoes one also hope for thatwhat which he seethsees?
8:25 But if we hope for thatwhat which we seedo not see, thenwith doperseverance we withwait patienceeagerly wait for it.
8:26 And in likethe mannersame way the Spirit also helpethhelps our infirmity:weakness; for we knowdo not know how to pray as we ought;should, but the Spirit himselfHimself makethintercedes intercession for us with groanings whichtoo cannotdeep befor utteredwords;
8:27 and heHe thatwho searchethsearches the hearts knowethknows what is the mind of the Spirit is, because heHe makethintercedes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
8:28 And we know that toGod themcauses that love God all things to work together for good to those who love God, even to themthose thatwho are called according to hisHis purpose.
8:29 For whom heHe foreknew, heHe also foreordainedpredestined to bebecome conformed to the image of hisHis Son, that heHe might be the firstbornfirst born among many brethren:;
8:30 and whom heHe foreordainedpredestined, themthese heHe also called:; and whom heHe called, themthese heHe also justified:; and whom heHe justified, themthese heHe also glorified.
8:32 He thatwho spareddid not hisspare His own Son, but delivered himHim up for us all, how shallwill heHe not also with himHim freely give us all things?
8:33 Who shallwill laybring anythinga to the charge ofagainst Gods elect? ItGod is Godthe thatone justifiethwho justifies;
8:34 who is hethe thatone condemnethwho condemns? ItChrist Jesus is ChristHe Jesuswho that died, yeayes, rather, thatwho was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makethintercedes intercession for us.
8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shallShall tribulation, or anguishdistress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36 EvenJust as it is written, For thyThy sake we are killedbeing put to death all the day long; We were accountedconsidered as sheep forto thebe slaughterslaughtered.
8:37 Nay,But in all these things we areoverwhelmingly moreconquer than conquerors through himHim thatwho loved us.
8:38 For I am persuaded,convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creaturecreated thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
9:1 I sayam telling the truth in Christ, I lieam not lying, my conscience bearing me witness with me in the Holy Spirit,
9:2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing paingrief in my heart.
9:3 For I could wish that I myself were anathemaaccursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethrens sakebrethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:,
9:4 who are Israelites;, whoseto iswhom belongs the adoption, as sons and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law,Law and the temple service of God, and the promises;,
9:5 whose are the fathers, and offrom whom is the Christ asaccording concerningto the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for everforever. Amen.
9:6 But it is not as though the word of God hathhas come to noughtfailed. For they are not all Israel, thatwho are ofdescended from Israel:;
9:7 neither, are they all children because they are Abrahams seeddescendants, are they all childrenbut: but,through In Isaac shallyour thydescendants seedwill be callednamed.
9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh thatwho are children of God;, but the children of the promise are reckonedregarded foras a seeddescendants.
9:9 For this is a word of promise,: AccordingAt to this seasontime I will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
9:10 And not only so;this, but Rebeccathere was Rebekah also, havingwhen she had conceived twins by one man, even by our father Isaac—;
9:11 for though the childrentwins beingwere not yet born, neitherand havinghad not done anything good or bad, in order that theGods purpose of God according to electionHis choice might stand, not because of works, but because of himHim thatwho callethcalls,
9:12 it was said untoto her, The elderolder shallwill serve the younger.
9:13 EvenJust as it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.
9:14 What shall we say then? IsThere thereis unrighteousnessno injustice with God, is there? GodMay forbid.it never be!
9:15 For heHe saithsays to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.
9:16 So then it isdoes not ofdepend himon thatthe willeth,man norwho ofwills himor thatthe runnethman who runs, but ofon God thatwho hathhas mercy.
9:17 For the scriptureScripture saithsays untoto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raiseraised theeyou up, thatto Idemonstrate mightMy showpower in thee my poweryou, and that myMy name might be publishedproclaimed abroadthroughout inthe allwhole the earth.
9:18 So then heHe hathhas mercy on whom heHe willdesires, and whomHe hehardens willwhom heHe hardenethdesires.
9:19 ThouYou wiltwill say thento untome methen, Why dothdoes heHe still find fault? For who withstandethresists hisHis will?
9:20 NayOn butthe contrary, who are you, O man, who artanswers thouback thatto repliest against God? ShallThe the thing formedmolded will not say to himthe that formed itmolder, Why didstdid thouyou make me thuslike this, will it?
9:21 Or hathdoes not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump to make one partvessel afor vesselhonorable unto honoruse, and another untofor dishonorcommon use?
9:22 What if God, although willing to showdemonstrate hisHis wrath, and to make hisHis power known, endured with much longsufferingpatience vessels of wrath fittedprepared untofor destruction:?
9:23 andAnd He did so in order that heHe might make known the riches of hisHis glory upon vessels of mercy, which heHe afore prepared untobeforehand for glory,
9:24 even us, whom heHe also called, not from theamong Jews only, but also from theamong Gentiles?.
9:25 As heHe saithsays also in Hosea, I will call thatthose mywho people,were whichnot wasMy notpeople, myMy people;, And her beloved,who that was not beloved, beloved.
9:26 And it shall be, that in the place where it was said untoto them, Yeyou are not myMy people, There they shall they be called sons of the living God.
9:27 And Isaiah criethcries out concerning Israel, IfThough the number of the childrensons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant that shallwill be saved:;
9:28 for the Lord will execute hisHis word upon the earth, finishingthoroughly it and cutting it shortquickly.
9:29 And, just as Isaiah hath said beforeforetold, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left to us a seedposterity, We hadwould have become as Sodom, and hadwould beenhave maderesembled like unto Gomorrah.
9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followeddid not afterpursue righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is ofby faith:;
9:31 but Israel, followingpursuing after a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law.
9:32 WhereforeWhy? Because they soughtdid not pursue it not by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled atover the stumbling stone of stumbling;,
9:33 evenjust as it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence:offense, And he thatwho believethbelieves onin himHim shallwill not be put to shamedisappointed.
10:1 Brethren, my hearts desire and my supplicationprayer to God is for them, thatis theyfor maytheir be savedsalvation.
10:2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not accordingin toaccordance with knowledge.
10:3 For beingnot ignorantknowing ofabout Gods righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
10:4 For Christ is the end of the law untofor righteousness to everyeveryone onewho that believethbelieves.
10:5 For Moses writethwrites that the man thatwho doethpractices the righteousness which is ofbased theon law shall live therebyby that righteousness.
10:6 But the righteousness whichbased ison of faith saithspeaks thus, SayDo not say in thyyour heart, Who shallwill ascend into heaven? that is, to bring Christ down:,
10:7 or, Who shallwill descend into the abyss? that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.
10:8 But what saithdoes it say? The word is nighnear theeyou, in thyyour mouth, and in thyyour heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:are preaching,
10:9 becausethat if thouyou shalt confess with thyyour mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thyyour heart that God raised himHim from the dead, thouyou shaltshall be saved:;
10:10 for with the heart man believethbelieves, untoresulting in righteousness;, and with the mouth confessionhe isconfesses, maderesulting untoin salvation.
10:11 For the scriptureScripture saithsays, WhosoeverWhoever believethbelieves onin himHim shallwill not be put to shamedisappointed.
10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek:; for the same Lord is Lord of all, andabounding isin richriches untofor all thatwho call upon him:Him;
10:13 for, WhosoeverWhoever shallwill call upon the name of the Lord shallwill be saved.
10:14 How then shall they call onupon himHim in whom they have not believed? andAnd how shall they believe in himHim whom they have not heard? andAnd how shall they hear without a preacher?
10:15 andAnd how shall they preach, exceptunless they beare sent? evenJust as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of themthose thatwho bring glad tidings of good things!
10:16 ButHowever, they did not all hearkenheed to the glad tidings.; Forfor Isaiah saithsays, Lord, who hathhas believed our report?
10:17 So belieffaith comethcomes offrom hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
10:18 But I say, Didsurely they nothave hear?never Yeaheard, verily,have they? Indeed they have; Their soundvoice wenthas gone out into all the earth, And their words untoto the ends of the world.
10:19 But I say, Didsurely Israel did not know, did they? FirstAt the first Moses saithsays, I will provokemake you tojealous jealousyby with that which is nonot a nation, WithBy a nation voidwithout of understanding will I anger you.
10:20 And Isaiah is very bold, and saithsays, I was found ofby themthose thatwho sought meMe not;, I became manifest untoto themthose thatwho askeddid not ofask mefor Me.
10:21 But as tofor Israel heHe saithsays, All the day long did I spreadhave stretched out myMy hands untoto a disobedient and gainsayingobstinate people.
11:1 I say then, Did God casthas offnot hisrejected His people, has He? GodMay forbid.it never be! For I alsotoo am an Israelite, ofa thedescendant seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
11:2 God didhas not castrejected offHis his people whichwhom heHe foreknew. Or knowdo yeyou not know what the scriptureScripture saithsays ofin the passage about Elijah?, how he pleadethpleads with God against Israel:?
11:3 Lord, they have killed thyThy prophets, they have diggedtorn down thineThine altars;, and I alone am left alone, and they seekare seeking my life.
11:4 But what saithis the answerdivine ofresponse Godto unto him? I have leftkept for myselfMyself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal.
11:5 EvenIn sothe same way then, there has also come to be at thisthe present time also there is a remnant according to theGods electiongracious of gracechoice.
11:6 But if it is by grace, it is no morelonger on the basis of works:, otherwise grace is no morelonger grace.
11:7 What then? That which Israel seekethis seeking for, thatit hehas not obtained, not; but thethose electionwho were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened:;
11:8 accordingjust as it is written, God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyesEyes thatto theysee should not see, and ears thatto theyhear should not hear, untoDown to this very day.
11:9 And David saithsays, Let their table bebecome made a snare, and a trap, And a stumblingblock,stumbling block and a recompenseretribution untoto them:.
11:10 Let their eyes be darkened, thatto theysee may not see, And bowbend thou down their backbacks alwaysforever.
11:11 I say then, Did they did not stumble thatso theyas mightto fall, did they? GodMay forbid:it butnever be! But by their falltransgression salvation ishas come untoto the Gentiles, to provokemake them to jealousyjealous.
11:12 Now if their falltransgression isbe the riches offor the world, and their lossfailure thebe riches offor the Gentiles;, how much more will their fulness?fulfillment be!
11:13 But I speakam speaking to you thatwho are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I glorifymagnify my ministry;,
11:14 if bysomehow any means I maymight provokemove to jealousy themmy thatfellow arecountrymen my flesh, and may save some of them.
11:15 For if thetheir castingrejection awaybe of them is the reconcilingreconciliation of the world, what shallwill thetheir receivingacceptance of them be, but life from the dead?
11:16 And if the first fruitpiece isof dough be holy, sothe lump is thealso; lump: and if the root isbe holy, sothe branches are the branchestoo.
11:17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and thouyou, being a wild olive, wastwere grafted in among them, and didstbecame become partaker with them of the rich root of the fatness of the olive tree;,
11:18 glorydo not overbe arrogant toward the branches:; but if thouyou gloriestare arrogant, remember that it is not thouyou thatwho bearestsupports the root, but the root theesupports you.
11:19 ThouYou wiltwill say then, Branches were broken off, so that I might be grafted in.
11:20 Well;Quite byright, their unbelief they were broken off for their unbelief, andbut thouyou standeststand by thyyour faith. BeDo not highmindedbe conceited, but fear:;
11:21 for if God spareddid not spare the natural branches, neither will heHe spare theeyou.
11:22 Behold then the goodnesskindness and severity of God:; towardto themthose thatwho fell, severity;, but towardto theeyou, Gods goodnesskindness, if thouyou continue in hisHis goodness:kindness; otherwise thouyou also shaltwill be cut off.
11:23 And they also, if they continuedo not continue in their unbelief, shallwill be grafted in:; for God is able to graft them in again.
11:24 For if thouyou wastwere cut outoff offrom thatwhat which is by nature a wild olive tree, and wastwere grafted contrary to nature into a goodcultivated olive tree;, how much more shall these, whichwho are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
11:25 For I woulddo not want you, brethren, haveto yoube ignorantuninformed of this mystery, lest yeyou be wise in your own conceitsestimation, that a partial hardening inhas parthappened hathto befallen Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles behas come in;
11:26 and sothus all Israel shallwill be saved:; evenjust as it is written, ThereThe shallDeliverer will come outfrom of Zion, the Deliverer; He shallwill turnremove away ungodliness from Jacob:.
11:27 And this is myMy covenant untowith them, When I shall take away their sins.
11:28 AsFrom touchingthe standpoint of the gospel, they are enemies for your sake:, but asfrom touching the election,standpoint of Gods choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers sake.;
11:29 Forfor the gifts and the calling of God are not repented ofirrevocable.
11:30 For just as yeyou inonce time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtainedbeen shown mercy bybecause of their disobedience,
11:31 even so have these also now have been disobedient, in order that bybecause of the mercy shown to you they also may now obtainbe shown mercy.
11:32 For God hathhas shut up all untoin disobedience, that heHe might haveshow mercy uponto all.
11:33 OOh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! howHow unsearchable are hisHis judgments, and hisunfathomable His ways past tracing out!
11:34 For who hathhas known the mind of the Lord?, or who hathbecame beenHis his counsellorcounselor?
11:35 orOr who hathhas first given to him,Him andthat it shallmight be recompensedpaid untoback to him again?
11:36 For offrom him,Him and through him,Him and untoto him,Him are all things. To himHim be the glory for everforever. Amen.
12:1 I beseechurge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice,and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
12:2 And bedo not fashionedbe accordingconformed to this world:, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that yeyou may prove what the will of God is, thethat which is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
12:3 For I say, through the grace thatgiven wasto given me, I say to every man that is among you, not to think more highly of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think so as to thinkhave soberlysound judgment, according as God hathhas dealtallotted to each man a measure of faith.
12:4 For evenjust as we have many members in one body, and all the members havedo not have the same office:function,
12:5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severallyindividually members one of another.
12:6 And havingsince we have gifts differingthat differ according to the grace that was given to us, whetherlet prophecy,each letexercise usthem prophesyaccordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of ourhis faith;
12:7 orif ministryservice, letin ushis give ourselves to our ministryserving; or he thatwho teachethteaches, toin his teaching;
12:8 or he thatwho exhortethexhorts, toin his exhorting:exhortation; he thatwho givethgives, let him do it with liberality; he thatwho rulethleads, with diligence; he thatwho showethshows mercy, with cheerfulness.
12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor thatwhat which is evil; cleavecling to thatwhat which is good.
12:10 InBe lovedevoted ofto theone brethrenanother bein tenderlybrotherly affectionedlove; onegive preference to one another; in honor preferring one another;
12:11 not lagging behind in diligence, not slothful; fervent in spirit;, serving the Lord;
12:12 rejoicing in hope;, patientpersevering in tribulation;, continuingdevoted stedfastlyto in prayer;,
12:13 communicatingcontributing to the necessitiesneeds of the saints;, givenpracticing to hospitality.
12:14 Bless themthose thatwho persecute you; bless, and curse not.
12:15 Rejoice with themthose thatwho rejoice;, and weep with themthose thatwho weep.
12:16 Be of the same mind toward one toward another.; Setdo not yourbe mindhaughty onin high thingsmind, but condescendassociate towith thingsthe that are lowly. BeDo not be wise in your own conceitsestimation.
12:17 RenderNever topay noback man evil for evil to anyone. TakeRespect thoughtwhat foris thingsright honorable in the sight of all men.
12:18 If it be possible, asso muchfar as init depends on you lieth, be at peace with all men.
12:19 AvengeNever nottake yourselvesyour own revenge, beloved, but giveleave placeroom untofor the wrath of God:, for it is written, Vengeance belongethis untoMine, me; I will recompenserepay, saithsays the Lord.
12:20 But if thineyour enemy hungeris hungry, feed him;, and if he thirstis thirsty, give him toa drink:; for in so doing thouyou shaltwill heap burning coals of fire upon his head.
12:21 BeDo not be overcome ofby evil, but overcome evil with good.
13:1 Let every soulperson be in subjection to the highergoverning powers:authorities. forFor there is no powerauthority butexcept offrom God;, and thethose powerswhich thatexist be are ordainedestablished ofby God.
13:2 Therefore he thatwho resistethresists theauthority power,has withstandethopposed the ordinance of God:; and they thatwho withstandhave shallopposed will receive tocondemnation upon themselves judgment.
13:3 For rulers are not a terrorcause toof thefear for good workbehavior, but tofor the evil. AndDo wouldestyou thouwant to have no fear of the powerauthority? doDo thatwhat which is good, and thouyou shaltwill have praise from the same:;
13:4 for heit is a minister of God to theeyou for good. But if thouyou do thatwhat which is evil, be afraid; for heit bearethdoes not bear the sword infor vain:nothing; for heit is a minister of God, an avenger forwho brings wrath toupon himthe thatone doethwho practices evil.
13:5 Wherefore yeit mustis needsnecessary to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience sake.
13:6 For forbecause of this causeyou yealso pay tributetaxes, also; for theyrulers are ministersservants of Gods serviceGod, attendingdevoting continuallythemselves uponto this very thing.
13:7 Render to all theirwhat duesis due them: tributetax to whom tributetax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.
13:8 Owe nonothing manto anything,anyone saveexcept to love one another:; for he thatwho lovethloves his neighbor hathhas fulfilled the law.
13:9 For this, ThouYou shaltshall not commit adultery, ThouYou shaltshall not killmurder, ThouYou shaltshall not steal, ThouYou shaltshall not covet, and if there beis any other commandment, it is summed up in this wordsaying, namely,You Thoushall shalt love thyyour neighbor as thyselfyourself.
13:10 Love workethdoes no illwrong to hisa neighbor:; love therefore is the fulfilmentfulfillment of the law.
13:11 And this do, knowing the seasontime, that already it is timealready the hour for you to awakeawaken outfrom of sleep:; for now salvation is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed.
13:12 The night is faralmost spentgone, and the day is at hand:. letLet us therefore castlay offaside the worksdeeds of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
13:13 Let us walkbehave becomingly,properly as in the day;, not in revellingcarousing and drunkenness, not in chamberingsexual promiscuity and wantonnesssensuality, not in strife and jealousy.
13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make notno provision for the flesh, in regard to fulfilits the lusts thereof.
14:1 ButNow himaccept thatthe one who is weak in faith receive ye, yetbut not for decisionthe purpose of scruplespassing judgment on his opinions.
14:2 One man hathhas faith tothat he may eat all things:, but he thatwho is weak eatetheats herbsvegetables only.
14:3 Let not him thatwho eatetheats setregard atwith noughtcontempt him thatwho eatethdoes not; eat, and let not him thatwho eatethdoes not eat judge him thatwho eateth:eats, for God hathhas receivedaccepted him.
14:4 Who artare thouyou thatto judgestjudge the servant of another? toTo his own Lordmaster he standethstands or falleth.falls; Yea,and stand he shallwill, be made to stand; for the Lord hathis powerable to make him stand.
14:5 One man esteemethregards one day above another:, another esteemethregards every day alike. Let each man be fully assuredconvinced in his own mind.
14:6 He thatwho regardethobserves the day, regardethobserves it untofor the Lord:, and he thatwho eatetheats, eatethdoes untoso for the Lord, for he givethgives thanks to God thanks; and he thatwho eatetheats not, untofor the Lord he eatethdoes not eat, and givethgives thanks to God thanks.
14:7 For nonenot one of us livethlives tofor himself, and nonenot diethone todies for himself.;
14:8 Forfor whetherif we live, we live untofor the Lord;, or whetherif we die, we die untofor the Lord:; therefore whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lords.
14:9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that heHe might be Lord both of both the dead and of the living.
14:10 But thouyou, why dostdo thouyou judge thyyour brother? orOr thouyou again, why dostdo thouyou setregard atyour noughtbrother thywith brothercontempt? forFor we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.
14:11 For it is written, As I live, saithsays the Lord, to me every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confessgive praise to God.
14:13 LetTherefore let us not therefore judge one another anyanymore, more: but judgerather yedetermine this rather,not thatto noput manan putobstacle or a stumblingblockstumbling block in hisa brothers way, or an occasion of falling.
14:14 I know, and am persuadedconvinced in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean ofin itself:; savebut that to him who accounteththinks anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
14:15 For if because of meatfood thyyour brother is grievedhurt, thouyou walkestare no longer inwalking according to love. DestroyDo not destroy with thyyour meatfood him for whom Christ died.
14:16 LetTherefore do not thenlet yourwhat is for you a good thing be evil spoken of: as evil;
14:18 For he thatwho hereinin serveththis way serves Christ is wellacceptable pleasing to God, and approved ofby men.
14:19 So then let us followpursue afterthe things which make for peace, and thingsthe wherebybuilding weup mayof edify one another.
14:20 OverthrowDo not fortear meatsdown sake the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean;, howbeitbut itthey isare evil for thatthe man who eatetheats withand offencegives offense.
14:21 It is good not to eat flesh,meat noror to drink wine, noror to do anything wherebyby thywhich your brother stumblethstumbles.
14:22 The faith which thouyou hasthave, have thouas toyour thyselfown conviction before God. Happy is he thatwho judgethdoes not condemn himself in thatwhat which he approvethapproves.
14:23 But he thatwho doubtethdoubts is condemned if he eateats, because hehis eatetheating is not offrom faith; and whatsoeverwhatever is not offrom faith is sin.
15:1 Now we thatwho are strong ought to bear the infirmitiesweaknesses of thethose weak,without strength and not tojust please ourselves.
15:2 Let each one of us please his neighbor for thathis which is good, untoto edifyinghis edification.
15:3 For even Christ alsodid pleased not himselfplease Himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of themthose thatwho reproached theeThee fell upon meMe.
15:4 For whatsoeverwhatever thingswas were written aforetimein wereearlier times was written for our learninginstruction, that through patienceperseverance and throughthe comfortencouragement of the scripturesScriptures we might have hope.
15:5 Now may the God ofwho patiencegives perseverance and ofencouragement comfort grant you to be of the same mind with one with another according to Christ Jesus:;
15:6 that with one accord yeyou may with one mouthvoice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15:7 Wherefore, receiveaccept ye one another, evenjust as Christ also receivedaccepted you,us to the glory of God.
15:8 For I say that Christ hathhas beenbecome made a ministerservant ofto the circumcision foron behalf of the truth of God, thatto he might confirm the promises given untoto the fathers,
15:9 and thatfor the Gentiles mightto glorify God for hisHis mercy; as it is written, Therefore I will I give praise untoto theeThee among the Gentiles, And I will sing untoto thyThy name.
