8:22 AndThen after that went the Levites went in to doperform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons:; just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did theyto unto them.
8:23 AndNow Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
8:24 This is thatwhat whichapplies belongethto unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall goenter in to waitperform upon the service in the work of the tent of meeting:.
8:25 andBut fromat the age of fifty years they shall ceaseretire waitingfrom uponservice in the work, and shallnot servework noany more,.
8:26 butThey shallmay, ministerhowever, withassist their brethrenbrothers in the tent of meeting, to keep thean charge,obligation; andbut they themselves shall do no servicework. Thus shaltyou thoushall dodeal untowith the Levites touchingconcerning their chargesobligations.
9:1 AndThus Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they werehad come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
9:2 MoreoverNow, let the childrensons of Israel keepobserve the passoverPassover inat its appointed seasontime.

9:4 AndSo Moses spaketold unto the childrensons of Israel, thatto theyobserve should keep the passoverPassover.
9:5 And they keptobserved the passoverPassover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at eventwilight, in the wilderness of Sinai:; according to all that Jehovahthe Lord had commanded Moses, so did the childrensons of Israel did.
9:6 AndBut there were certainsome men, who were unclean bybecause reason of the dead body of a manperson, so that they could not keepobserve thePassover passover on that day:; andso they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:.
9:7 andAnd those men said untoto him, WeThough we are unclean bybecause reason of the dead bodyperson, ofwhy a man: wherefore are we keptrestrained back,from thatpresenting wethe mayoffering notof offer the oblationLord ofat Jehovah in its appointed seasontime among the childrensons of Israel?
9:8 And Moses therefore said untoto them, Stay yeWait, thatand I maywill hearlisten to what Jehovahthe Lord will command concerning you.
9:9 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
9:10 Speak untoto the childrensons of Israel, saying, If any manone of you or of your generations shallbecomes be unclean bybecause reason of a dead bodyperson, or beis on a distant journey, afarhe offmay, yethowever, heobserve shallthe keepPassover to the passover unto JehovahLord.
9:11 In the second month on the fourteenth day at eventwilight, they shall keepobserve it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs:.
9:12 theyThey shall leave none of it untountil the morning, nor break a bone thereof:of it; according to all the statute of the passoverPassover they shall keepobserve it.
9:13 But the man thatwho is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbearethyet neglects to keepobserve the passoverPassover, that soulperson shall then be cut off from his people;, becausefor he offereddid not present the oblationoffering of Jehovahthe inLord at its appointed season,time. thatThat man shall bear his sin.
9:14 And if aan strangeralien shallsojourns sojourn among you, and willobserves keep the passoverPassover untoto Jehovah;the Lord, according to the statute of the passover,Passover and according to theits ordinance thereof, so he shall he do:; yeyou shall have one statute, both for the sojourner,alien and for himthe thatnative isof born in the land.
9:15 AndNow on the day that the tabernacle was rearederected up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony:, and atin eventhe evening it was uponlike the tabernacleappearance asof itfire wereover the appearance of firetabernacle, until morning.
9:16 So it was alway:continuously; the cloud coveredwould cover it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
9:17 And whenever the cloud was takenlifted up from over the Tenttent, thenafterward after that the childrensons of Israel journeyed:would then set out; and in the place where the cloud abodesettled down, there the childrensons of Israel encampedwould camp.
9:18 At the commandmentcommand of Jehovahthe Lord the childrensons of Israel journeyedwould set out, and at the commandmentcommand of Jehovahthe Lord they encamped:would camp; as long as the cloud abodesettled uponover the tabernacle, they remained encampedcamped.
9:19 AndEven when the cloud tarriedlingered uponover the tabernacle for many days, then the childrensons of Israel keptwould keep the Lords charge ofand Jehovah,not andset journeyed notout.
9:20 AndIf sometimes the cloud wasremained a few days uponover the tabernacle;, then according to the commandmentcommand of Jehovahthe Lord they remained encamped,camped. andThen according to the commandmentcommand of Jehovahthe Lord they journeyedset out.
9:21 AndIf sometimes the cloud wasremained from evening until morning;, and when the cloud was takenlifted up in the morning, they journeyed:would move out; or if it continuedremained byin daythe daytime and byat night, whenwhenever the cloud was taken uplifted, they journeyedwould set out.
9:22 Whether it werewas two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarriedlingered uponover the tabernacle, abidingstaying thereonabove it, the childrensons of Israel remained encamped,camped and journeyeddid not set out; but when it was taken uplifted, they journeyeddid set out.
9:23 At the commandmentcommand of Jehovahthe Lord they encampedcamped, and at the commandmentcommand of Jehovahthe Lord they journeyed:set out; they kept the Lords charge, ofaccording Jehovah,to at the commandmentcommand of Jehovahthe byLord through Moses.
10:1 AndThe JehovahLord spakespoke untofurther to Moses, saying,
10:2 Make theeyourself two trumpets of silver;, of beatenhammered work shaltyou thoushall make them:; and thouyou shaltshall use them for thesummoning calling of the congregation, and for having the journeyingcamps ofset the campsout.
10:3 And when theyboth shallare blow themblown, all the congregation shall gather themselves untoto theeyou at the doordoorway of the tent of meeting.
10:4 AndYet if theyonly blowone butis oneblown, then the princesleaders, the heads of the thousandsdivisions of Israel, shall gatherassemble themselvesbefore unto theeyou.
10:5 AndBut when yeyou blow an alarm, the camps that lieare pitched on the east side shall takeset their journeyout.
10:6 And when yeyou blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lieare pitched on the south side shall takeset theirout; journey:an theyalarm shallis blowto anbe alarmblown for theirthem journeysto set out.
10:7 ButWhen whenconvening the assembly, is to be gathered togetherhowever, yeyou shall blow, butwithout yesounding shall not sound an alarm.
10:8 AndThe thepriestly sons of Aaron, the priestsmoreover, shall blow the trumpets; and theythis shall be tofor you for a perpetual statute for ever throughout your generations.
10:9 And when yeyou go to war in your land against the adversary thatwho oppressethattacks you, then yeyou shall sound an alarm with the trumpets;, andthat yeyou shallmay be remembered before Jehovahthe Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
10:10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your setappointed feasts, and inon the beginningsfirst days of your months, yeyou shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be toas youa forreminder aof memorialyou before your God:. I am Jehovahthe Lord your God.
10:11 AndNow it came toabout pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was takenlifted up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.;
10:12 Andand the childrensons of Israel set forwardout accordingon to their journeys outfrom of the wilderness of Sinai;. andThen the cloud abodesettled down in the wilderness of Paran.
10:13 AndSo they firstmoved tookout theirfor journeythe first time according to the commandment of Jehovahthe byLord through Moses.
10:14 And in the first place the standard of the camp of the childrensons of Judah, set forward according to their hosts:armies, andset overout hisfirst, hostwith was Nahshon the son of Amminadab., over its army,
10:15 Andand overNethanel the hostson of theZuar, tribeover of the childrentribal army of Issachar was Nethanel the sonsons of Zuar.Issachar;
10:16 Andand overEliab the hostson of theHelon tribeover of the childrentribal army of Zebulun was Eliab the sonsons of HelonZebulun.
10:17 AndThen the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who barewere carrying the tabernacle, set forwardout.
10:18 AndNext the standard of the camp of Reuben, set forward according to their hosts:armies, andset overout hiswith host was Elizur the son of Shedeur., over its army,
10:19 Andand overShelumiel the hostson of theZurishaddai tribeover of the childrentribal army of Simeon was Shelumiel the sonsons of Zurishaddai.Simeon,
10:20 Andand overEliasaph the hostson of theDeuel tribewas ofover the childrentribal army of Gad was Eliasaph the sonsons of DeuelGad.
10:21 AndThen the Kohathites set forwardout, bearingcarrying the sanctuary:holy objects; and the otherstabernacle didwas set up thebefore tabernacle against their comingarrival.
10:22 AndNext the standard of the camp of the childrensons of Ephraim, set forward according to their hosts:armies, andwas overset hisout, hostwith was Elishama the son of Ammihud. over its army,
10:23 Andand overGamaliel the hostson of thePedahzur tribeover of the childrentribal army of Manasseh was Gamaliel the sonsons of Pedahzur.Manasseh;
10:24 Andand overAbidan the hostson of theGideoni tribeover of the childrentribal army of Benjamin was Abidan the sonsons of GideoniBenjamin.
10:25 AndThen the standard of the camp of the childrensons of Dan, according to their armies, which wasformed the rearwardrear ofguard for all the camps, set forwardout, accordingwith to their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. over its army,
10:26 Andand overPagiel the hostson of theOchran tribeover of the childrentribal army of Asher was Pagiel the sonsons of Ochran.Asher;
10:27 Andand overAhira the hostson of theEnan tribeover of the childrentribal army of Naphtali was Ahira the sonsons of EnanNaphtali.
10:28 ThusThis werewas the journeyingsorder of march of the childrensons of Israel accordingby to their hosts;armies andas they set forwardout.
10:29 AndThen Moses said untoto Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses father in law, We are journeyingsetting untoout to the place of which Jehovahthe Lord said, I will give it to you:; come thou with us, and we will do theeyou good;, for Jehovahthe hathLord spokenhas promised good concerning Israel.
10:30 AndBut he said untoto him, I will not go;come, but Irather will departgo to minemy own land, and to my kindredrelatives.
10:31 AndThen he said, LeavePlease usdo not, Ileave prayus, thee;inasmuch forasmuch as thouyou knowestknow howwhere we areshould tocamp encamp in the wilderness, and thouyou shaltwill be toas useyes insteadfor of eyesus.
10:32 AndSo it shallwill be, if thouyou go with us, yea, it shallwill be,come about that whatwhatever good soeverthe JehovahLord shalldoes dofor unto us, thewe same will we do untofor theeyou.
10:33 AndThus they set forwardout from the mount of Jehovahthe Lord three days journey;, andwith the ark of the covenant of Jehovahthe wentLord beforejourneying in front of them for the three days journey, to seek out a resting place for them.
10:34 And the cloud of Jehovahthe Lord was over them by day, when they set forwardout from the camp.
10:35 AndThen it came toabout pass, when the ark set forward,out that Moses said, Rise up, O Jehovah,Lord! andAnd let thineThine enemies be scattered;, andAnd let themthose thatwho hate theeThee flee before theeThee.
10:36 And when it restedcame to rest, he said, Return Thou, O JehovahLord, untoTo the tenmyriad thousands of the thousands of Israel.
11:1 AndNow the people werebecame aslike murmurers,those speakingwho evilcomplain of adversity in the earshearing of Jehovah:the Lord; and when Jehovahthe Lord heard it, hisHis anger was kindled;, and the fire of Jehovahthe burntLord burned among them, and devouredconsumed insome of the uttermostoutskirts part of the camp.
11:2 AndThe the people therefore cried untoout to Moses;, and Moses prayed untoto Jehovahthe Lord, and the fire abateddied out.
11:3 AndSo the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of Jehovahthe burntLord burned among them.
11:4 And the mixedrabble multitudewho thatwere was among them lustedhad exceedingly:greedy desires; and also the childrensons of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shallwill give us fleshmeat to eat?
11:5 We remember the fish, which we didused to eat free in Egypt, for nought; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic:,
11:6 but now our soulappetite is driedgone. away;There there is nothing at all saveto thislook mannaat toexcept lookthis uponmanna.
11:7 AndNow the manna was like coriander seed, and theits appearance thereoflike asthat the appearance of bdellium.
11:8 The people wentwould go about, and gatheredgather it, and groundgrind it inbetween mills,two millstones or beat it in mortarsthe mortar, and boiledboil it in pots,the pot and mademake cakes ofwith it:; and theits taste of it was as the taste of freshcakes baked with oil.
11:9 And when the dew fell uponon the camp inat the night, the manna fellwould uponfall with it.
11:10 AndNow Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, everyeach man at the doordoorway of his tent:; and the anger of Jehovahthe Lord was kindled greatly;, and Moses was displeased.
11:11 AndSo Moses said untoto Jehovahthe Lord, WhereforeWhy hast thouThou dealtbeen illso withhard thyon Thy servant? andAnd whereforewhy have I not found favor in thyThy sight, that thouThou layesthast laid the burden of all this people uponon me?
11:12 HaveWas it I who conceived all this people? haveWas it I who brought them forth, that thouThou shouldest say untoto me, Carry them in thyyour bosom, as a nursingnurse fathercarries carrietha thenursing sucking childinfant, untoto the land which thouThou swarestdidst untoswear to their fathers ?
11:13 WhenceWhere shouldam I haveto fleshget meat to give untoto all this people? forFor they weep untobefore me, saying, Give us flesh,meat that we may eat.!
11:14 I alone am not able to bearcarry all this people alone, because it is too heavyburdensome for me.
11:15 AndSo if thouThou art going to deal thus with me, please kill me, Iat pray theeonce, out of hand, if I have found favor in thyThy sight;, and do not let me not see my wretchedness.
11:16 AndThe JehovahLord therefore said untoto Moses, Gather untofor meMe seventy men offrom the elders of Israel, whom thouyou knowestknow to be the elders of the people, and their officers over them; and bring them untoto the tent of meeting, thatand theylet maythem take their stand there with theeyou.
11:17 AndThen I will come down and talkspeak with theeyou there:, and I will take of the Spirit whichwho is upon theeyou, and will put itHim upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with theeyou, so that thouyou shall not bear it notall thyself alone.
11:18 And say thouto unto the people, SanctifyConsecrate yourselves againstfor to morrowtomorrow, and yeyou shall eat fleshmeat; for yeyou have wept in the ears of Jehovahthe Lord, saying, WhoOh shallthat someone would give us fleshmeat to eat?! forFor itwe waswere well withoff us in Egypt:. thereforeTherefore Jehovahthe Lord will give you flesh,meat and yeyou shall eat.
11:19 YeYou shall eat, not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neithernor ten days, nor twenty days,
11:20 but a whole month, until it comecomes out atof your nostrils, and itbecomes be loathsome untoto you; because thatyou ye have rejected Jehovahthe Lord who is among you, and have wept before himHim, saying, Why camedid we forthever outleave of Egypt?
11:21 AndBut Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six600,000 hundredon thousand footmenfoot; andyet thouThou hast said, I will give them flesh,meat in order that they may eat for a whole month.
11:22 ShallShould flocks and herds be slainslaughtered for them, to sufficebe sufficient for them? orOr shallshould all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to sufficebe sufficient for them?
11:23 And Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, Is Jehovahsthe handLords waxedpower shortlimited? nowNow shaltyou thoushall see whether myMy word shallwill come totrue passfor untoyou thee or not.
11:24 AndSo Moses went out, and told the people the words of Jehovah:the andLord. Also, he gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and setstationed them roundaround about the Tenttent.
11:25 AndThen Jehovahthe Lord came down in the cloud, and spakespoke untoto him,; and He took of the Spirit thatwho was upon him, and putplaced itHim upon the seventy elders:. andAnd it came toabout pass, that, when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied,. butBut they did sonot nodo moreit again.
11:26 But there remained two men had remained in the camp,; the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad:. andAnd the Spirit rested upon them; andnow they were ofamong themthose thatwho werehad writtenbeen registered, but had not gone out untoto the Tent;tent, and they prophesied in the camp.
11:27 AndSo there ran a young man, ran and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad doare prophesyprophesying in the camp.
11:28 AndThen Joshua the son of Nun, the ministerattendant of Moses, onefrom of his chosen menyouth, answered and said, MyMoses, my Lord Moses, forbidrestrain them.
11:29 AndBut Moses said untoto him, ArtAre thouyou jealous for my sake? wouldWould that all Jehovahsthe Lords people were prophets, that Jehovahthe Lord would put hisHis Spirit upon them!
11:30 AndThen Moses gatreturned himto into the camp, both he and the elders of Israel.
11:31 AndNow there went forth a wind from Jehovahthe Lord, and it brought quailsquail from the sea, and let them fall bybeside the camp, about a days journey on this side, and a days journey on the other side, roundall aboutaround the camp, and about two cubits abovedeep on the facesurface of the earthground.
11:32 And the people rosespent up all that day, and all the night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails:quail he thatwho gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them allout abroad for themselves roundall aboutaround the camp.
11:33 While the fleshmeat was yetstill between their teeth, erebefore it was chewed, the anger of Jehovahthe Lord was kindled against the people, and Jehovahthe smoteLord struck the people with a very greatsevere plague.
11:34 AndSo the name of that place was called Kibroth hattaavah, because there they buried the people thatwho lustedhad been greedy.
11:35 From Kibroth hattaavah the people journeyedset untoout for Hazeroth;, and they aboderemained at Hazeroth.
12:1 AndThen Miriam and Aaron spakespoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.;
12:2 Andand they said, HathHas Jehovahthe Lord indeed spoken only withthrough Moses? hathHas heHe not spoken alsothrough withus usas well? And Jehovahthe Lord heard it.
12:3 Now the man Moses was very meekhumble, abovemore allthan theany menman thatwho werewas uponon the face of the earth.
12:4 And Jehovahsuddenly spakethe suddenlyLord untosaid to Moses, and unto Aaron, and untoto Miriam, ComeYou outthree yecome threeout untoto the tent of meeting. AndSo theythe three of them came out.
12:5 AndThen Jehovahthe Lord came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the doordoorway of the Tenttent, and He called Aaron and Miriam;. andWhen they had both camecome forth.forward,
12:6 AndHe he said, Hear now myMy words: ifIf there beis a prophet among you, I, Jehovahthe willLord, shall make myselfMyself known untoto him in a vision,. I willshall speak with him in a dream.
12:7 Not so, with My servant Moses, isHe not so; he is faithful in all myMy house:household;
12:8 withWith him will I speak mouth to mouth, evenEven manifestlyopenly, and not in dark speeches;sayings, andAnd he beholds the form of Jehovahthe shallLord. heWhy behold: wherefore then were yeyou not afraid toTo speak against myMy servant, against Moses?
12:9 AndSo the anger of Jehovahthe wasLord kindledburned against them; and heHe departed.
12:10 AndBut when the cloud removedhad withdrawn from over the Tent; andtent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow:. andAs Aaron lookedturned upontoward Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
12:11 AndThen Aaron said untoto Moses, Oh, my Lord, layI notbeg you, Ido praynot thee,account this sin uponto us, forin thatwhich we have doneacted foolishly, and forin thatwhich we have sinned.
12:12 LetOh, herdo not, Ilet pray,her be aslike one dead, ofwhose whom the flesh is half consumedeaten away when he comethcomes outfrom of his mothers womb.!
12:13 And Moses cried untoout Jehovahto the Lord, saying, HealO herGod, Oheal Godher, I beseech thee.pray!
12:14 AndBut Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, shouldwould she not bebear ashamedher shame for seven days? letLet her be shut up withoutfor seven days outside the camp seven days, and afterafterward that she shallmay be broughtreceived in again.
12:15 AndSo Miriam was shut up withoutoutside the camp for seven days:, and the people journeyeddid not tillmove on until Miriam was broughtreceived in again.
12:16 AndAfterward, afterwardhowever, the people journeyedmoved out from Hazeroth, and encampedcamped in the wilderness of Paran.
13:1 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
13:2 Send thouout for yourself men, so that they may spy out the land of Canaan, which I am going to give untoto the childrensons of Israel:; ofyou everyshall tribesend ofa theirman fathersfrom shalleach yeof sendtheir afathers mantribes, every one a princeleader among them.
13:3 AndSo Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran accordingat to the commandmentcommand of Jehovah:the Lord, all of them men who were heads of the childrensons of Israel.
13:4 AndThese thesethen were their names: Offrom the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.;
13:5 Offrom the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.;
13:6 Offrom the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.;
13:7 Offrom the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.;
13:8 Offrom the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Nun.;
13:9 Offrom the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.;
13:10 Offrom the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.;
13:11 Offrom the tribe of Joseph, namely,from of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.;
13:12 Offrom the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.;
13:13 Offrom the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.;
13:14 Offrom the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.;
13:15 Offrom the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
13:16 These are the names of the men thatwhom Moses sent to spy out the land.; Andbut Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun, Joshua.
13:17 AndWhen Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, andhe said untoto them, GetGo you up thisthere wayinto by the South,Negev; andthen go up into the hill country:.
13:18 andAnd see what the land, whatis itlike, is; and whether the people thatwho dwelllive therein,in whetherit they are strong or weak, whether they are few or many;.
13:19 andAnd whathow is the land isin thatwhich they dwell inlive, whetheris it is good or bad;? andAnd whathow are the cities in which they live, are that they dwelllike in,open whether in camps, or inwith strongholds;fortifications?
13:20 andAnd whathow is the land, is, whether it is fat or lean,? whetherAre there istrees woodin therein,it or not.? AndMake bean yeeffort ofthen goodto courage,get andsome bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.
13:21 So they went up, and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin untoas far as Rehob, toat theLebo entrance of Hamathhamath.
13:22 AndWhen they wenthad gone up byinto the SouthNegev, andthey came untoto Hebron; andwhere Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the childrendescendants of Anak, were there. Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.
13:23 AndThen they came untoto the valley of Eshcol, and from there cut down from thence a branch with onea single cluster of grapes,; and they barecarried it uponon a staffpole between two; theymen, broughtwith alsosome of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
13:24 That place was called the valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the childrensons of Israel cut down from thencethere.
13:25 AndWhen they returned from spying out the land, at the end of forty days.,
13:26 And they wentproceeded andto camecome to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the childrensons of Israel, untoin the wilderness of Paran, toat Kadesh; and they brought back word untoto them, and untoto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
13:27 AndThus they told him, and said, We camewent untoin to the land whitherwhere thouyou sentestsent us; and surely it flowethcertainly does flow with milk and honey;, and this is theits fruit of it.
13:28 HowbeitNevertheless, the people thatwho dwelllive in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified, and very great:large; and moreover, we saw the childrendescendants of Anak there.
13:29 Amalek dwellethis living in the land of the South:Negev and the Hittite,Hittites and the Jebusite,Jebusites and the Amorite,Amorites dwellare living in the hill country;, and the CanaaniteCanaanites dwellethare living by the sea, and along by the side of the Jordan.
13:30 AndThen Caleb stilledquieted the people before Moses, and said, LetWe usshould by all means go up atand once,take andpossession possessof it;, for we areshall wellsurely able to overcome it.
13:31 But the men thatwho wenthad gone up with him said, We are not able to go up against the people;, for they are strongertoo thanstrong wefor us.
13:32 AndSo they broughtgave upout anto evilthe sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone, toin spyspying it out, is a land that eatethdevours upits the inhabitants thereof; and all the people thatwhom we saw in it are men of great staturesize.
13:33 AndThere therealso we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, whoare comepart of the Nephilim:; and we werebecame like grasshoppers in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
14:1 AndThen all the congregation lifted up their voice,voices and cried;, and the people wept that night.
14:2 And all the childrensons of Israel murmuredgrumbled against Moses and against Aaron:; and the whole congregation said untoto them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! orOr would that we had died in this wilderness!
14:3 And whereforewhy dothis Jehovahthe bringLord bringing us untointo this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will bebecome aplunder; prey:would were it not be better for us to return intoto Egypt?
14:4 AndSo they said to one to another, Let us makeappoint a captain,leader and let us return intoto Egypt.
14:5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces beforein the presence of all the assembly of the congregation of the childrensons of Israel.
14:6 And Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, whoof werethose ofwho themhad that spied out the land, renttore their clothes:;
14:7 and they spakespoke untoto all the congregation of the childrensons of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingexceedingly good land.
14:8 If Jehovahthe delightLord inis pleased with us, then heHe will bring us into this land, and give it untoto us; a land which flowethflows with milk and honey.
14:9 Only rebeldo not rebel against Jehovah,the neitherLord; and do not fear ye the people of the land;, for they areshall breadbe forour us:prey. theirTheir defenceprotection ishas been removed from over them, and Jehovahthe Lord is with us:; do not fear them not.
14:10 But all the congregation badesaid to stone them with stones. AndThen the glory of Jehovahthe Lord appeared in the tent of meeting untoto all the childrensons of Israel.
14:11 And Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, How long will this people despisespurn meMe? andAnd how long will they not believe in meMe, fordespite all the signs which I have wroughtperformed amongin themtheir midst?
14:12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinheritdispossess them, and I will make ofyou theeinto a nation greater and mightier than they.
14:13 AndBut Moses said untoto Jehovahthe Lord, Then the Egyptians will hear of it;, for thouby broughtestThy strength Thou didst bring up this people in thy might from amongtheir them;midst,
14:14 and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that thouThou, JehovahO Lord, art in the midst of this people;, for thouThou, JehovahO Lord, art seen faceeye to faceeye, andwhile thyThy cloud standethstands over them,; and thouThou goestdost go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.
14:15 Now if thouThou shaltdost killslay this people as one man, then the nations whichwho have heard theof Thy fame of thee will speaksay, saying,
14:16 Because Jehovahthe wasLord could not able to bring this people into the land which heHe swarepromised untothem themby oath, therefore heHe hathslaughtered slain them in the wilderness.
14:17 AndBut now, I pray thee, let the power of the Lord be great, accordingjust as thouThou hast spokendeclared, saying,
14:18 JehovahThe Lord is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; andbut thatHe will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers uponon the children, uponto the third and upon the fourth generationgenerations.
14:19 Pardon, I pray thee, the iniquity of this people according untoto the greatness of thyThy lovingkindness, andjust according as thouThou also hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
14:20 AndSo Jehovahthe Lord said, I have pardoned them according to thyyour word:;
14:21 but in very deedindeed, as I live, and as all the earth shallwill be filled with the glory of Jehovah;the Lord.
14:22 becauseSurely all thosethe men thatwho have seen myMy glory, and myMy signs, which I wroughtperformed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have temptedput meMe to the test these ten times, and have not hearkenedlistened to myMy voice;,
14:23 surelyshall theyby shallno notmeans see the land which I swareswore untoto their fathers, neithernor shall any of themthose thatwho despisedspurned meMe see it:.
14:24 butBut myMy servant Caleb, because he has had anothera different spirit with him, and hathhas followed meMe fully, himI will I bring into the land whereintowhich he went;entered, and his seeddescendants shall possesstake possession of it.
14:25 Now the AmalekiteAmalekites and the CanaaniteCanaanites dwelllive in the valley:valleys; to morrow turn ye,tomorrow and getset youout intoto the wilderness by the way toof the Red Sea.
14:26 And Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
14:27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, thatwho murmurare grumbling against meMe? I have heard the murmuringscomplaints of the childrensons of Israel, which they murmurare making against meMe.
14:28 Say untoto them, As I live, saithsays Jehovahthe Lord, surelyjust as yeyou have spoken in mineMy earshearing, so I will Isurely do to you:;
14:29 your deadcorpses bodies shall fall in this wilderness;, andeven all thatyour were numbered of youmen, according to your wholecomplete number, from twenty years old and upward, thatwho have murmuredgrumbled against me,Me.
14:30 surelySurely yeyou shall not come into the land, concerningin which I swareswore thatto Isettle would make you dwell therein, saveexcept Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
14:31 ButYour yourchildren, little oneshowever, thatwhom yeyou said shouldwould bebecome a prey, themI will I bring them in, and they shall know the land which yeyou have rejected.
14:32 But as for you, your deadcorpses bodies shall fall in this wilderness.
14:33 And your childrensons shall be wanderersshepherds for forty years in the wilderness forty years, and they shall bearsuffer for your whoredomsunfaithfulness, until your deadcorpses bodieslie be consumed in the wilderness.
14:34 AfterAccording to the number of the days in which yeyou spied out the land, even forty days, for every day ayou year, shall ye bear your iniquitiesguilt a year, even forty years, and yeyou shall know myMy alienationopposition.
14:35 I, Jehovahthe Lord, have spoken, surely this I will I do untoto all this evil congregation, thatwho are gathered together against me:Me. inIn this wilderness they shall be consumeddestroyed, and there they shall die.
14:36 AndAs for the men, whom Moses sent to spy out the land, and who returned, and made all the congregation togrumble murmur against him, by bringing upout ana evilbad report againstconcerning the land,
14:37 even those men thatwho didbrought bringout upthe anvery evilbad report of the land, died by thea plague before Jehovahthe Lord.
14:38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, remained alive out of those men thatwho went to spy out the land.
14:39 And when Moses toldspoke these words untoto all the childrensons of Israel:, and the people mourned greatly.
14:40 AndIn the morning, however, they rose up early in the morning, and gatwent them up to the topridge of the mountainhill country, saying, Lo,Here we are; herewe have indeed sinned, andbut we will go up untoto the place which Jehovahthe hathLord has promised: for we have sinned.
14:41 AndBut Moses said, WhereforeWhy nowthen doare yeyou transgresstransgressing the commandment of Jehovahthe Lord, seeingwhen it shallwill not prospersucceed?
14:42 GoDo not go up, forlest Jehovahyou isbe notstruck amongdown you;before thatyour yeenemies, befor notthe smittenLord downis beforenot youramong enemiesyou.
14:43 For there the AmalekiteAmalekites and the CanaaniteCanaanites arewill beforebe there in front of you, and yeyou shallwill fall by the sword:, becauseinasmuch yeas areyou have turned back from following Jehovah,the thereforeLord. JehovahAnd the Lord will not be with you.
14:44 But they presumedwent toup goheedlessly up to the topridge of the mountain:hill neverthelesscountry; neither the ark of the covenant of Jehovah,the andLord nor Moses, departedleft not out of the camp.
14:45 Then the AmalekiteAmalekites came down, and the CanaaniteCanaanites who dweltlived in that mountainhill country came down, and smotestruck them and beat them down, evenas untofar as Hormah.
15:1 AndNow Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
15:2 Speak untoto the childrensons of Israel, and say untoto them, When yeyou areenter come into the land ofwhere youryou habitationsare to live, which I giveam untogiving you,
15:3 andthen will make an offering by fire untoto Jehovahthe Lord, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplishfulfill a special vow, or as a freewill offering, or in your setappointed feaststimes, to make a sweetsoothing savoraroma untoto Jehovahthe Lord, offrom the herd, or offrom the flock;.
15:4 thenAnd shallthe heone thatwho offerethpresents his oblationoffering offershall untopresent Jehovahto the Lord a mealgrain offering of aone tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mingledmixed with theone fourth part of a hin of oil:,
15:5 and you shall prepare wine for the drink offeringlibation, theone fourth part of a hin, shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.
15:6 Or for a ram, thouyou shaltshall prepare foras a mealgrain offering two tenthtenths parts of an ephah of fine flour mingledmixed with theone third part of a hin of oil:;
15:7 and for the drinklibation offeringyou thoushall shalt offer theone third part of a hin of wine, ofas a sweetsoothing savoraroma untoto Jehovahthe Lord.
15:8 And when thouyou preparestprepare a bullockbull foras a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice, to accomplishfulfill a special vow, or for peace offerings untoto Jehovah;the Lord,
15:9 then you shall he offer with the bullockbull a mealgrain offering of three tenthtenths parts of an ephah of fine flour mingledmixed with one half a hin of oil:;
15:10 and thouyou shaltshall offer foras the drinklibation offeringone half a hin of wine, foras an offering made by fire, ofas a sweetsoothing savoraroma untoto Jehovahthe Lord.
15:11 Thus it shall it be done for each bullockox, or for each ram, or for each of the hemale lambs, or of the kidsgoats.
15:12 According to the number that yeyou shall prepare, so you shall ye do tofor everyeveryone one according to their number.
15:13 All thatwho are homenative born shall do these things afterin this manner, in offeringpresenting an offering made by fire, ofas a sweetsoothing savoraroma untoto Jehovahthe Lord.
15:14 And if aan strangeralien sojournsojourns with you, or whosoeverone who may be among you throughout your generations, and willhe offerwishes to make an offering made by fire, ofas a sweetsoothing savoraroma untoto Jehovah;the Lord, just as yeyou do, so he shall do.
15:15 ForAs for the assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the strangeralien thatwho sojournethsojourns with you, a perpetual statute for ever throughout your generations:; as yeyou are, so shall the sojourneralien be before Jehovahthe Lord.
15:16 OneThere is to be one law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the strangeralien thatwho sojournethsojourns with you.
15:17 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
15:18 Speak untoto the childrensons of Israel, and say untoto them, When yeyou comeenter into the land whitherwhere I bring you,
15:19 then it shall be, that, when yeyou eat of the breadfood of the land, yeyou shall offerlift up aan heave offering untoto Jehovahthe Lord.
15:20 Of the first of your dough yeyou shall offerlift up a cake foras aan heave offering:; as the heave offering of the threshing floor, so you shall yelift heaveit itup.
15:21 OfFrom the first of your dough yeyou shall give untoto Jehovahthe aLord heavean offering throughout your generations.
15:22 AndBut when yeyou shallunwittingly err,fail and do not observe all these commandments, which Jehovahthe hathLord has spoken untoto Moses,
15:23 even all that Jehovahthe hathLord has commanded you bythrough Moses, from the day thatwhen Jehovahthe Lord gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations;,
15:24 then it shall be, if it beis done unwittinglyunintentionally, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one youngbull bullock for a burnt offering, foras a sweetsoothing savoraroma untoto Jehovahthe Lord, with theits mealgrain offering thereof, and theits drink offering thereoflibation, according to the ordinance, and one hemale goat for a sin offering.
15:25 AndThen the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the childrensons of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their oblationoffering, an offering made by fire untoto Jehovahthe Lord, and their sin offering before Jehovahthe Lord, for their error:.
15:26 andSo all the congregation of the childrensons of Israel shallwill be forgiven, andwith the strangeralien thatwho sojournethsojourns among them;, for init respecthappened ofto all the people itthrough was done unwittinglyerror.
15:27 AndAlso if one person sinsins unwittinglyunintentionally, then he shall offer a sheone goat a year old female goat for a sin offering.
15:28 And the priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the soulperson thatwho erreth,goes astray when he sinnethsins unwittinglyunintentionally, beforemaking Jehovah, to make atonement for him; andthat he shallmay be forgiven.
15:29 YeYou shall have one law for him thatwho doethdoes aughtanything unwittinglyunintentionally, for him thatwho is homenative born among the childrensons of Israel, and for the strangeralien thatwho sojournethsojourns among them.
15:30 But the soulperson thatwho doethdoes aughtanything with a high handdefiantly, whether he beis homenative born or aan sojourneralien, thethat sameone blasphemethis Jehovahblaspheming the Lord; and that soulperson shall be cut off from among his people.
15:31 Because he hathhas despised the word of Jehovah,the Lord and hathhas broken hisHis commandment, that soulperson shall utterly be completely cut off; his iniquityguilt shall be uponon him.
15:32 AndNow while the childrensons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering stickswood uponon the sabbath day.
15:33 And theythose thatwho found him gathering stickswood brought him untoto Moses and Aaron, and untoto all the congregation.;
15:34 Andand they put him in ward,custody because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
15:35 AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, The man shall surely be put to death:; all the congregation shall stone him with stones withoutoutside the camp.
15:36 AndSo all the congregation brought him withoutoutside the camp, and stoned him to death with stones;, just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded Moses.
15:37 AndThe JehovahLord spakealso untospoke to Moses, saying,
15:38 Speak untoto the childrensons of Israel, and bidtell them that they shall make themfor fringesthemselves intassels on the borderscorners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put uponon the fringetassel of each bordercorner a cord of blue:.
15:39 andAnd it shall be untoa youtassel for ayou fringe,to that ye may look uponat it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovahthe Lord, andso as to do them; and thatnot ye follow not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which yeyou useplayed to play the harlot;,
15:40 in order that yeyou may remember andto do all myMy commandments, and be holy untoto your God.
15:41 I am Jehovahthe Lord your God, who brought you out offrom the land of Egypt, to be your God:; I am Jehovahthe Lord your God.
16:1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:action,
16:2 and they rose up before Moses, together with certainsome of the childrensons of Israel, two hundred and fifty princesleaders of the congregation, calledchosen toin the assembly, men of renown;.
16:3 andAnd they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said untoto them, YeYou takehave toogone muchfar upon youenough, seeingfor all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and Jehovahthe Lord is amongin them:their whereforemidst; thenso liftwhy yedo upyou exalt yourselves above the assembly of Jehovahthe Lord?
16:4 AndWhen when Moses heard itthis, he fell uponon his face:;
16:5 and he spakespoke untoto Korah and unto all his company, saying, InTomorrow morning the morningLord Jehovah will show who areis hisHis, and who is holy, and will causebring him to come near untoto him:Himself; even himthe one whom heHe shallwill choose, He will hebring causenear to come near unto himHimself.
16:6 ThisDo dothis: take youcensers censersfor yourselves, Korah, and all hisyour company;,
16:7 and put fire in them, and putlay incense upon them beforein Jehovahthe topresence morrow:of andthe itLord shalltomorrow; beand that the man whom Jehovahthe dothLord choose,chooses he shall be the one who is holy:. yeYou takehave toogone muchfar uponenough, you, ye sons of Levi.!
16:8 AndThen Moses said untoto Korah, Hear now, yeyou sons of Levi:,
16:9 seemethis it butnot aenough smallfor thing unto you, that the God of Israel hathhas separated you from the rest of the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himselfHimself, to do the service of the tabernacle of Jehovahthe Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister untoto them;
16:10 and that heHe hathhas brought theeyou near, Korah, and all thyyour brethrenbrothers, the sons of Levi, with theeyou? andAnd seekare yeyou seeking for the priesthood also?
16:11 Therefore thouyou and all thyyour company are gathered together against Jehovah:the andLord; but as for Aaron, whatwho is he that yeyou murmurgrumble against him?
16:12 AndThen Moses sent a summons to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; andbut they said, We will not come up:.
16:13 isIs it anot smallenough thing that thouyou hasthave brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to killhave us die in the wilderness, but thouyou mustwould needs make thyself also aLord princeit over us?
16:14 MoreoverIndeed, thouyou hasthave not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards:. wiltWould thouyou put out the eyes of these men? weWe will not come up.!
16:15 AndThen Moses wasbecame very wroth,angry and said untoto Jehovahthe Lord, RespectDo not thouregard their offering:! I have not taken onea asssingle donkey from them, neithernor have I hurtdone oneharm to any of them.
16:16 And Moses said untoto Korah, BeYou thou and all thyyour company be present before Jehovah,the thouLord tomorrow, both you and they, andalong with Aaron, to morrow:.
16:17 andAnd takeeach yeof everyyou mantake his censer,firepan and put incense uponon themit, and bringeach yeof beforeyou Jehovahbring everyhis mancenser hisbefore censerthe Lord, two hundred and fifty censersfirepans; thou also, you and Aaron, shall each bring his censerfirepan.
16:18 AndSo they each took everyhis manown his censer, and put fire inon themit, and laid incense thereon,on it; and they stood at the doordoorway of the tent of meeting, with Moses and Aaron.
16:19 AndThus Korah assembled all the congregation against them untoat the doordoorway of the tent of meeting:. andAnd the glory of Jehovahthe Lord appeared untoto all the congregation.
16:20 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
16:21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a momentinstantly.
16:22 AndBut they fell uponon their faces, and said, O God, theThou God of the spirits of all flesh, shallwhen one man sinsins, and wilt thouThou be wrothangry with all the entire congregation?
16:23 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
16:24 Speak untoto the congregation, saying, Get youback up from aboutaround the tabernacledwellings of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
16:25 AndThen Moses rosearose up and went untoto Dathan and Abiram;, andwith the elders of Israel followedfollowing him.,
16:26 Andand he spakespoke untoto the congregation, saying, Depart, Inow pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing ofthat theirsbelongs to them, lest yeyou be consumedswept away in all their sinssin.
16:27 So they gatgot themback up from around the tabernacledwellings of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram,; on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood at the doordoorway of their tents, andalong with their wives, and their sons, and their little ones.
16:28 And Moses said, HerebyBy yethis you shall know that Jehovahthe hathLord has sent me to do all these worksdeeds; for Ithis haveis not donemy them of mine own minddoing.
16:29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they besuffer visited after the visitationfate of all men;, then Jehovahthe hathLord has not sent me.
16:30 But if Jehovahthe makeLord abrings about an entirely new thing, and the ground openopens its mouth, and swallowswallows them up, with all that appertainis unto themtheirs, and they godescend down alive into Sheol;, then yeyou shallwill understand that these men have despisedspurned Jehovahthe Lord.
16:31 AndThen it came toabout pass, as he madefinished an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them split open;
16:32 and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men thatwho appertainedbelonged untoto Korah, andwith all their goodspossessions.
16:33 So they, and all that appertainedbelonged to them, went down alive intoto Sheol:; and the earth closed uponover them, and they perished from amongthe midst of the assembly.
16:34 And all Israel thatwho were roundaround about them fled at thetheir cryoutcry, of them; for they said, LestThe the earth may swallow us up.!
16:35 AndFire firealso came forth from Jehovah,the Lord and devouredconsumed the two hundred and fifty men thatwho offeredwere offering the incense.
16:36 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
16:37 SpeakSay untoto Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, that he shall take up the censers out of the burning,midst andof scatter thou the fireblaze, yonder; for they are holy,; and you scatter the burning coals abroad.
16:38 evenAs for the censers of these sinnersmen againstwho have sinned at the cost of their own lives;, and let them be made beateninto plateshammered sheets for a coveringplating of the altar:, forsince they offereddid present them before Jehovah;the thereforeLord and they are holy; and they shall be for a sign untoto the childrensons of Israel.
16:39 AndSo Eleazar the priest took the brazenbronze censers, which theythe thatmen who were burntburned had offered; and they beathammered them out foras a coveringplating offor the altar,
16:40 toas be a memorialreminder untoto the childrensons of Israel, to the end that no stranger,layman thatwho is not of the seeddescendants of Aaron, should come near to burn incense before Jehovahthe Lord; that he bemight not asbecome like Korah, and as his company: just as Jehovahthe spakeLord untohad spoken to him bythrough Moses.
16:41 But on the morrownext day all the congregation of the childrensons of Israel murmuredgrumbled against Moses and against Aaron, saying, YeYou are the ones who have killedcaused the peopledeath of Jehovahthe Lords people.
16:42 AndIt it came toabout, passhowever, when the congregation washad assembled against Moses and against Aaron, that they lookedturned toward the tent of meeting:, and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of Jehovahthe Lord appeared.
16:43 AndThen Moses and Aaron came to the front of the tent of meeting.,
16:44 Andand Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
16:45 Get youaway up from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a momentinstantly. AndThen they fell uponon their faces.
16:46 And Moses said untoto Aaron, Take thyyour censer, and put in it fire therein from off the altar, and lay incense thereon,on andit; carrythen bring it quickly untoto the congregation, and make atonement for them:, for therewrath ishas wrath gone outforth from Jehovah;the Lord, the plague ishas begun.!
16:47 AndThen Aaron took it as Moses spakehad spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and, for behold, the plague washad begun among the people:. andSo he put on the incense, and made atonement for the people.
16:48 And he stoodtook his stand between the dead and the living;, andso that the plague was stayedchecked.
16:49 NowBut theythose thatwho died by the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred14,700, besides themthose thatwho died abouton theaccount matter of Korah.
16:50 AndThen Aaron returned untoto Moses untoat the doordoorway of the tent of meeting:, andfor the plague washad stayedbeen checked.
17:1 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
17:2 Speak untoto the childrensons of Israel, and takeget offrom them rods,a onerod for each fathers househousehold: twelve rods, offrom all their princesleaders according to their fathers houses,households. twelveYou rods:shall write thoueach every mans name uponon his rod.,
17:3 Andand thou shalt write Aarons name uponon the rod of Levi; for there shallis be one rod for eachthe head of each of their fathers houseshouseholds.
17:4 AndYou thoushall shaltthen laydeposit them up in the tent of meeting beforein front of the testimony, where I meet with you.
17:5 And it shallwill come toabout pass, that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shallwill bud:sprout. andThus I willshall makelessen tofrom ceaseupon fromMyself me the murmuringsgrumblings of the childrensons of Israel, whichwho theyare murmurgrumbling against you.
17:6 And Moses spaketherefore untospoke to the childrensons of Israel;, and all their princesleaders gave him rodsa rod apiece, for each princeleader one, according to their fathers houseshouseholds, even twelve rods:, andwith the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
17:7 AndSo Moses laiddeposited up the rods before Jehovahthe Lord in the tent of the testimony.
17:8 AndNow it came toabout pass on the morrow,next day that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi washad budded,sprouted and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bareit bore ripe almonds.
17:9 And Moses then brought out all the rods from beforethe Jehovahpresence untoof the Lord to all the childrensons of Israel:; and they looked, and tookeach every man took his rod.
17:10 AndBut Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept foras a tokensign against the childrenrebels, of rebellion; that thouyou mayestmay makeput an end ofto their murmuringsgrumblings against meMe, so that they dieshould not die.
17:11 Thus Moses did; Moses:just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded him, so he did he.
17:12 AndThen the childrensons of Israel spakespoke untoto Moses, saying, Behold, we perish, we are undonedying, we are all undone.dying!
17:13 EveryEveryone onewho thatcomes cometh near, thatwho comethcomes near untoto the tabernacle of Jehovahthe Lord, dieth:must shalldie. Are we to perish all of uscompletely?
18:1 AndSo Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Aaron, ThouYou and thyyour sons and thyyour fathers househousehold with theeyou shall bear the iniquityguilt ofin connection with the sanctuary; and thouyou and thyyour sons with theeyou shall bear the iniquityguilt ofin connection with your priesthood.
18:2 AndBut thybring brethrenwith you also your brothers, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thyyour father, bring thou near with thee, that they may be joined untowith thee,you and ministerserve untoyou, thee:while butyou thou and thyyour sons with theeyou shallare be before the tent of the testimony.
18:3 And they shall keepthus thyattend charge,to your obligation and the chargeobligation of all the Tent:tent, onlybut they shall not come nighnear untoto the vesselsfurnishings of the sanctuary and unto the altar, thatlest both they dieand not,you neither they, nor yedie.
18:4 And they shall be joined untowith thee,you and keepattend to the chargeobligations of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the Tent:tent; andbut aan strangeroutsider shallmay not come nighnear unto you.
18:5 AndSo yeyou shall keepattend to the chargeobligations of the sanctuary, and the chargeobligations of the altar;, that there may no longer be wrath noon more upon the childrensons of Israel.
18:6 And I, behold, I Myself have taken your brethrenfellow the Levites from among the childrensons of Israel:; to you they are a gift to you, givendedicated untoto Jehovahthe Lord, to doperform the service offor the tent of meeting.
18:7 AndBut thouyou and thyyour sons with theeyou shall keepattend to your priesthood for everything ofconcerning the altar, and forinside that within the veil;, and yeyou shallare serve:to perform service. I giveam giving you the priesthood as a bestowed service, ofbut gift: and the strangeroutsider thatwho comethcomes nighnear shall be put to death.
18:8 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Aaron, AndNow I, behold, I Myself have given theeyou the charge of myMy heave offerings, even all the hallowedholy thingsgifts of the childrensons of Israel;, untoI thee have I given them byto reasonyou ofas thea anointingportion, and to thyyour sons, as a portionperpetual for everallotment.
18:9 This shall be thineyours offrom the most holy thingsgifts, reserved from the fire:; every oblationoffering of theirs, even every mealgrain offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespassguilt offering of theirs, which they shall render untoto meMe, shall be most holy for theeyou and for thyyour sons.
18:10 As the most holy thingsgifts shaltyou thoushall eat thereofit; every male shall eat thereof: it. It shall be holy untoto theeyou.
18:11 AndThis thisalso is thine:yours, the heave offering of their gift, even all the wave offerings of the childrensons of Israel; I have given them untoto thee,you and to thyyour sons and to thy daughters with theeyou, as a portionperpetual forallotment. ever;Everyone everyof oneyour thathousehold who is clean inmay thy house shall eat thereofit.
18:12 All the best of the fresh oil, and all the best of the vintage,fresh wine and of the grain, the first fruits of themthose which they give unto Jehovah, to theethe haveLord, I givengive them to you.

18:20 AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Aaron, ThouYou shaltshall have no inheritance in their land, neithernor shaltown thou have any portion among them:; I am thyyour portion and thineyour inheritance among the childrensons of Israel.
18:21 And untoto the childrensons of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serveperform, even the service of the tent of meeting.
18:22 And henceforth the childrensons of Israel shall not come nighnear the tent of meeting again, lest they bear sin, and die.

18:24 For the tithe of the childrensons of Israel, which they offer as aan heave offering untoto Jehovahthe Lord, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance:; therefore I have said untoconcerning them, AmongThey theshall childrenhave ofno Israelinheritance theyamong shallthe havesons noof inheritanceIsrael.
18:25 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,

19:1 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
19:2 This is the statute of the law which Jehovahthe hathLord has commanded, saying, Speak untoto the childrensons of Israel, that they bring theeyou aan unblemished red heifer withoutin spot,which wherein is no blemishdefect, and uponon which a yoke has never camebeen yokeplaced.

19:4 andNext Eleazar the priest shall take some of herits blood with his finger, and sprinkle hersome of its blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.
19:5 AndThen onethe heifer shall burnbe theburned heifer in his sight; herits skin,hide and herits flesh, and herits blood, with herits dungrefuse, shall hebe burn:burned.
19:6 andAnd the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet material, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
19:7 ThenThe the priest shall then wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his fleshbody in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, andbut the priest shall be unclean until the evenevening.
19:8 AndThe heone thatwho burnethburns herit shall also wash his clothes in water, and bathe his fleshbody in water, and shall be unclean until the evenevening.
19:9 AndNow a man thatwho is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and laydeposit them upoutside without the camp in a clean place;, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the childrensons of Israel forshall akeep it as water forto remove impurity:; it is apurification from sin offering.
19:10 And hethe thatone gatherethwho gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until theevening; even: and it shall be untoa perpetual statute to the childrensons of Israel, and untoto the strangeralien thatwho sojournethsojourns among them, for a statute for ever.
19:11 HeThe thatone touchethwho touches the deadcorpse body of any manperson shall be unclean for seven days:.
19:12 theThat sameone shall purify himself therewithfrom uncleanness with the water on the third day, and on the seventh day, and then he shall be clean:; but if he purifydoes not purify himself on the third day, thenand on the seventh day, he shall not be clean.
19:13 WhosoeverAnyone touchethwho touches a dead personcorpse, the body of a man thatwho hathhas died, and purifiethdoes not purify himself, defilethdefiles the tabernacle of Jehovahthe Lord; and that soulperson shall be cut off from Israel:. becauseBecause the water for impurity was not sprinkled uponon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yetstill uponon him.
19:14 This is the law when a man diethdies in a tent: everyeveryone onewho thatcomes cometh into the tent, and everyeveryone onewho that is in the tent, shall be unclean for seven days.
19:15 And every open vessel, which hathhas no covering boundtied upondown on it, isshall be unclean.
19:16 AndAlso, whosoeveranyone who in the open field touchethtouches one thatwho ishas been slain with a sword, or awho deadhas bodydied naturally, or a human bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean for seven days.
19:17 AndThen for the unclean person they shall take some of the ashes of the burningburnt ofpurification thefrom sin offering; and runningflowing water shall be putadded theretoto them in a vessel:.
19:18 andAnd a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it uponon the tent, and uponon all the vessels,furnishings and uponon the persons thatwho were there, and uponon himthe thatone who touched the bone, or the one slain, or the dead,one dying naturally or the grave:.

19:22 AndFurthermore, whatsoeveranything that the unclean person touchethtouches shall be unclean; and the soulperson thatwho touchethtouches it shall be unclean until evenevening.
20:1 AndThen the childrensons of Israel, even the whole congregation, came intoto the wilderness of Zin in the first month:; and the people abodestayed inat Kadesh;. andNow Miriam died there, and was buried there.
20:2 And there was no water for the congregation:; and they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
20:3 AndThe the people strovethus contended with Moses, and spakespoke, saying, WouldIf thatonly we had diedperished when our brethrenbrothers diedperished before Jehovahthe Lord!
20:4 AndWhy whythen have yeyou brought the Lords assembly of Jehovah into this wilderness, thatfor weus shouldand dieour there,beasts weto anddie our beastshere?
20:5 And whereforewhy have yeyou made us to come up outfrom of Egypt, to bring us in untoto this evilwretched place? itIt is nonot a place of seed,grain or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates;, neithernor is there any water to drink.
20:6 AndThen Moses and Aaron wentcame in from the presence of the assembly untoto the doordoorway of the tent of meeting, and fell uponon their faces:. andThen the glory of Jehovahthe Lord appeared untoto them.;
20:7 Andand Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
20:8 Take the rod,; and assembleyou theand congregation,your thou,brother and Aaron thyassemble brother,the congregation and speak yeto unto the rock before their eyes, that it givemay forthyield its water;. andYou thoushall shaltthus bring forth towater for them water out of the rock; soand thoulet shalt give the congregation and their cattlebeasts drink.
20:9 AndSo Moses took the rod from before Jehovahthe Lord, just as heHe had commanded him.;
20:10 Andand Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock,. andAnd he said untoto them, HearListen now, yeyou rebels; shall we bring you forth water for you out of this rock?
20:11 AndThen Moses lifted up his hand, and smotestruck the rock twice with his rod; twice: and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their cattlebeasts drank.
20:12 AndBut Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses and Aaron, Because yeyou believedhave not inbelieved meMe, to sanctifytreat meMe as holy in the eyessight of the childrensons of Israel, therefore yeyou shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.
20:13 TheseThose arewere the waters of Meribah;, because the childrensons of Israel strovecontended with Jehovahthe Lord, and heHe wasproved sanctifiedHimself inholy among them.
20:14 AndFrom Kadesh Moses then sent messengers fromto Kadesh unto the king of Edom,: Thus saithyour thy brother Israel has said, ThouYou knowestknow all the travailhardship that hathhas befallen us:;
20:15 howthat our fathers went down intoto Egypt, and we dweltstayed in Egypt a long time;, and the Egyptians dealttreated ill with us, and our fathers: badly.
20:16 andBut when we cried untoout Jehovahto the Lord, heHe heard our voice, and sent an angel, and brought us forth out offrom Egypt:; and,now behold, we are inat Kadesh, a citytown inon the uttermostedge of thyyour borderterritory.
20:17 LetPlease let us pass, I pray thee, through thyyour land:. weWe willshall not pass through field or through vineyard,; neitherwe willshall wenot even drink of the water offrom thea wells;well. weWe willshall go along the kings highway;, we will not turnturning aside to the right handor nor to the left, until we havepass passedthrough thyyour borderterritory.
20:18 And Edom, however, said untoto him, ThouYou shaltshall not pass through meus, lest I come out with the sword against theeyou.
20:19 AndAgain, the childrensons of Israel said untoto him, We willshall go up by the highway;, and if weI drinkand ofmy thylivestock water,do Idrink andany myof cattleyour water, then I will Ipay giveits the price. thereof:Let let me only, without doing anything else, pass through on my feet, nothing else.
20:20 AndBut he said, ThouYou shaltshall not pass through. And Edom came out against him with mucha peopleheavy force, and with a strong hand.
20:21 Thus Edom refused to giveallow Israel passageto pass through his border:territory; whereforeso Israel turned away from him.
20:22 AndNow when they journeyedset out from Kadesh:, and the childrensons of Israel, even the whole congregation, came untoto mountMount Hor.
20:23 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses and Aaron inat mountMount Hor, by the border of the land of Edom, saying,
20:24 Aaron shall be gathered untoto his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given untoto the childrensons of Israel, because yeyou rebelled against myMy wordcommand at the waters of Meribah.
20:25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son Eleazar, and bring them up untoto mountMount Hor;
20:26 and strip Aaron of his garments, and put them uponon Eleazar his son: andEleazar. So Aaron shallwill be gathered untoto his people, and shallwill die there.
20:27 AndSo Moses did just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded:, and they went up intoto mountMount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
20:28 And after Moses had stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them uponon Eleazar his son; andEleazar, Aaron died there on the mountain top. ofThen the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountmountain.
20:29 And when all the congregation saw that Aaron washad deaddied, theyall the house of Israel wept for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
21:1 AndWhen the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dweltlived in the SouthNegev, heard tell that Israel camewas coming by the way of Atharim;, andthen he fought against Israel, and took some of them captive.
21:2 AndSo Israel vowedmade a vow untoto Jehovahthe Lord, and said, If thouThou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.
21:3 And Jehovahthe hearkenedLord toheard the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; andthen they utterly destroyed them and their cities:. andThus the name of the place was called Hormah.
21:4 AndThen they journeyedset out from mountMount Hor by the way toof the Red Sea, to compassgo around the land of Edom:; and the soul of the people wasbecame muchimpatient discouraged because of the wayjourney.
21:5 And the people spakespoke against God, and against Moses, WhereforeWhy have yeyou brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? forFor there is no bread,food and there is no water;, and ourwe soulloathe loatheth this lightmiserable breadfood.
21:6 And Jehovahthe Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people;, andso muchthat many people of Israel died.
21:7 AndSo the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Jehovah,the Lord and against theeyou; prayintercede untowith Jehovahthe Lord, that heHe takemay awayremove the serpents from us. And Moses prayedinterceded for the people.
21:8 AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it uponon a standard:; and it shall come to passabout, that everyeveryone onewho that is bitten, when he seethlooks at it, he shall live.
21:9 And Moses made a bronze serpent of brass, and set it uponon the standard:; and it came to passabout, that if a serpent hadbit bitten any man, when he looked untoto the bronze serpent of brass, he lived.
21:10 AndNow the childrensons of Israel journeyed,moved out and encampedcamped in Oboth.
21:11 And they journeyed from Oboth, and encampedcamped at Iye abarimIyeabarim, in the wilderness which is beforeopposite Moab, towardto the sunrisingeast.
21:12 From thencethere they journeyed,set out and encampedcamped in theWadi valley of Zered.
21:13 From thencethere they journeyed, and encampedcamped on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness, that comethcomes out of the border of the Amorites:, for the Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.
21:14 WhereforeTherefore it is said in the bookBook of the Wars of Jehovahthe Lord, VahebWaheb in Suphah, And the valleyswadis of the Arnon,
21:15 And the slope of the valleyswadis That inclinethextends towardto the dwellingsite of Ar, And leanethleans uponto the border of Moab.
21:16 And from thencethere they journeyedcontinued to Beer:, that is the well whereofwhere Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, GatherAssemble the people together, andthat I willmay give them water.
21:17 Then Israel sang Israel this song: Spring up, O well;! singSing yeto unto it:!
21:18 The well, which the princesleaders diggedsank, Which the nobles of the people delveddug, With the sceptre,scepter and with their stavesstaffs. And from the wilderness they journeyedcontinued to Mattanah;,
21:19 and from Mattanah to Nahaliel;, and from Nahaliel to Bamoth;,
21:20 and from Bamoth to the valley that is in the fieldland of Moab, toat the top of Pisgah, which lookethoverlooks down upon the desertwasteland.
21:21 AndThen Israel sent messengers untoto Sihon, king of the Amorites, saying,
21:22 Let me pass through thyyour land:. weWe will not turn asideoff into field, or into vineyard; we will not drink of the water offrom the wells:. weWe will go by the kings highway, until we have passed thythrough your border.
21:23 AndBut Sihon would not sufferpermit Israel to pass through his border:. butSo Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel intoin the wilderness, and came to Jahaz; and he fought against Israel.
21:24 AndThen Israel smotestruck him with the edge of the sword, and possessedtook possession of his land from the Arnon untoto the Jabbok, evenas untofar as the childrensons of Ammon; for the border of the childrensons of Ammon was strongJazer.
21:25 And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dweltlived in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all theher towns thereofvillages.
21:26 For Heshbon was the city of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and had taken all his land out of his hand, evenas untofar as the Arnon.
21:27 WhereforeTherefore theythose thatwho speakuse in proverbs say, Come ye to Heshbon;! Let it be built! So let the city of Sihon be built and established:.
21:28 For a fire iswent goneforth outfrom of Heshbon, A flame from the citytown of Sihon:; It hath devoured Ar of Moab, The Lordsdominant ofheights the high places of the Arnon.
21:29 Woe to theeyou, O Moab! ThouYou artare undoneruined, O people of Chemosh:! He hathhas given his sons as fugitives, And his daughters into captivity, UntoTo Sihonan Amorite king, of the AmoritesSihon.
21:30 WeBut we have shotcast at them; down, Heshbon is perishedruined evenas untofar as Dibon, AndThen we have laid waste even untoto Nophah, Which reachethreaches untoto Medeba.
21:31 Thus Israel dweltlived in the land of the Amorites.
21:32 And Moses sent to spy out Jazer;, and they tookcaptured theits townsvillages thereof, and drovedispossessed out the Amorites thatwho were there.
21:33 AndThen they turned and went up by the way of Bashan:, and Og the king of Bashan went out againstwith them, he and all his people, tofor battle at Edrei.
21:34 AndBut Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Moses, FearDo not fear him, not: for I have deliveredgiven him into thyyour hand, and all his people, and his land; and thouyou shaltshall do to him as thouyou didstdid untoto Sihon, king of the Amorites, who dweltlived at Heshbon.
21:35 So they smotekilled him, and his sons and all his people, until there was noneno remnant left him; remaining: and they possessed his land.
22:1 AndThen the childrensons of Israel journeyed, and encampedcamped in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan atopposite Jericho.
22:2 AndNow Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.
22:3 AndSo Moab was sorein afraidgreat fear because of the people, becausefor they were many:numerous; and Moab was distressedin becausedread of the childrensons of Israel.
22:4 And Moab said untoto the elders of Midian, Now will this multitudehorde will lick up all that is roundaround about us, as the ox lickethlicks up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.
22:5 AndSo he sent messengers untoto Balaam the son of Beor, toat Pethor, which is bynear the River, toin the land of the childrensons of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people comecame out fromof Egypt:; behold, they cover the facesurface of the earthland, and they abideare overliving againstopposite me.
22:6 ComeNow, now therefore, Iplease pray theecome, curse me this people; for me since they are too mighty for me:; peradventureperhaps I shallmay prevail,be thatable weto maydefeat smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land;. forFor I know that he whom thouyou blessestbless is blessed, and he whom thouyou cursestcurse is cursed.
22:7 AndSo the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewardsfees offor divination in their hand; and they came untoto Balaam, and spakerepeated untoBalaks him the words ofto Balakhim.
22:8 And he said untoto them, LodgeSpend herethe thisnight nighthere, and I will bring you word again,back to you as Jehovahthe shallLord may speak untoto me:. andAnd the princesleaders of Moab abodestayed with Balaam.
22:9 AndThen God came untoto Balaam, and said, WhatWho men are these men with theeyou?
22:10 And Balaam said untoto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hathhas sent untoword to me, saying,
22:11 Behold, thethere is a people thatwho iscame come out of Egypt, itand covereththey cover the facesurface of the earth:land; now, come, curse them for me them; peradventureperhaps I shallmay be able to fight against them, and shall drive them out.
22:12 And God said untoto Balaam, ThouDo shalt not go with them; thouyou shaltshall not curse the people; for they are blessed.
22:13 AndSo Balaam rosearose up in the morning, and said untoto theBalaks princes of Balakleaders, GetGo youback intoto your land;, for Jehovahthe refusethLord has refused to givelet me leave to go with you.
22:14 And the princesleaders of Moab rosearose up, and they went untoto Balak, and said, Balaam refusethrefused to come with us.
22:15 AndThen Balak again sent yet again princesleaders, more, numerous and more honorabledistinguished than theythe former.
22:16 And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus saithsays Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I praybeg theeyou, hinder theeyou from coming untoto me:;
22:17 for I will promoteindeed theehonor untoyou very great honorrichly, and whatsoeverI thouwill sayestdo untowhatever meyou Isay willto do:me. Please come thereforethen, Icurse praythis thee,people cursefor me this people.
22:18 And Balaam answered and said untoto the servants of Balak, IfThough Balak wouldwere to give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannotcould gonot beyonddo theanything, wordeither ofsmall Jehovahor my Godgreat, contrary to dothe lesscommand orof morethe Lord my God.
22:19 NowAnd thereforenow please, I pray you, tarryalso yestay also here this nighttonight, thatand I maywill knowfind out what Jehovahelse the Lord will speak untoto me more.
22:20 And God came untoto Balaam at night, and said untoto him, If the men arehave come to call theeyou, rise up, and go with them; but only the word which I speak untoto thee,you thatshall shaltyou thou do.
22:21 AndSo Balaam rosearose up in the morning, and saddled his assdonkey, and went with the princesleaders of Moab.
22:22 AndBut GodsGod anger was kindledangry because he went;was going, and the angel of Jehovahthe placedLord himselftook his stand in the way foras an adversary against him. Now he was riding uponon his ass,donkey and his two servants were with him.
22:23 AndWhen the assdonkey saw the angel of Jehovahthe Lord standing in the way, with his drawn sword drawn in his hand;, and the assdonkey turned asideoff outfrom of the way, and went into the field:; andbut Balaam smotestruck the ass,donkey to turn her back into the way.
22:24 Then the angel of Jehovahthe Lord stood in a narrow path betweenof the vineyards, with a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
22:25 AndWhen the assdonkey saw the angel of Jehovahthe Lord, and she thrustpressed herself untoto the wall, and crushedpressed Balaams foot against the wall:, andso he smotestruck her again.
22:26 And the angel of Jehovahthe Lord went further, and stood in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
22:27 AndWhen the assdonkey saw the angel of Jehovahthe Lord, and she lay down under Balaam:; andso BalaamsBalaam anger was kindled,angry and hestruck smote the assdonkey with his staffstick.
22:28 And Jehovahthe Lord opened the mouth of the assdonkey, and she said untoto Balaam, What have I done untoto theeyou, that thouyou hasthave smittenstruck me these three times?
22:29 AndThen Balaam said untoto the assdonkey, Because thouyou hasthave mockedmade a mockery of me:! IIf would there werehad been a sword in my hand, forI nowwould Ihave had killed theeyou by now.
22:30 And the assdonkey said untoto Balaam, Am I not Iyour thinedonkey ass,on upon which thouyou hasthave ridden all thyyour life longto unto this day? wasHave I ever wontbeen accustomed to do so untoto theeyou? andAnd he said, NayNo.
22:31 Then Jehovahthe Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of Jehovahthe Lord standing in the way, with his drawn sword drawn in his hand; and he bowed hisall head,the andway fellto onthe his faceground.
22:32 And the angel of Jehovahthe Lord said untoto him, WhereforeWhy hasthave thouyou smittenstruck thineyour assdonkey these three times? beholdBehold, I amhave come forthout foras an adversary, because thyyour way iswas perversecontrary beforeto me:.
22:33 andBut the assdonkey saw me, and turned aside beforefrom me these three times:. unlessIf she had not turned aside from me, I would surely nowhave Ikilled hadyou evenjust slain theenow, and savedlet her alivelive.
22:34 And Balaam said untoto the angel of Jehovahthe Lord, I have sinned;, for I knewdid not know that thouyou stoodestwere standing in the way against me:. nowNow thereforethen, if it displeaseis theedispleasing to you, I will getturn me back again.
22:35 AndBut the angel of Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Balaam, Go with the men;, but you shall speak only the word thatwhich I shall speaktell unto thee, that thou shalt speakyou. So Balaam went along with the princesleaders of Balak.
22:36 AndWhen when Balak heard that Balaam was comecoming, he went out to meet him untoat the Citycity of Moab, which is on the Arnon border of the Arnon, whichat is in the utmostextreme partend of the border.
22:37 AndThen Balak said untoto Balaam, Did I not earnestlyurgently send untoto theeyou to call theeyou? whereforeWhy camestdid thouyou not untocome to me? amAm I notreally ableunable indeed to promotehonor thee to honoryou?
22:38 AndSo Balaam said untoto Balak, LoBehold, I amhave come untonow thee:to haveyou! Am I nowable anyto powerspeak anything at all to speak anything? theThe word that God puttethputs in my mouth, that I shall I speak.
22:39 And Balaam went with Balak, and they came untoto Kiriath huzoth.
22:40 And Balak sacrificed oxen and sheep, and sent some to Balaam, and to the princesleaders thatwho were with him.
22:41 AndThen it came toabout pass in the morning, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up intoto the high places of Baal; and he saw from thencethere thea utmostportion part of the people.
23:1 AndThen Balaam said untoto Balak, Build seven altars for me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocksbulls and seven rams for me here.
23:2 And Balak did just as Balaam had spoken;, and Balak and Balaam offered onup every altar a bullockbull and a ram on each altar.
23:3 AndThen Balaam said untoto Balak, Stand bybeside thyyour burnt offering, and I will go:; peradventureperhaps Jehovahthe Lord will come to meet me;, and whatsoeverwhatever heHe showethshows me I will tell theeyou. AndSo he went to a bare heighthill.
23:4 AndNow God met Balaam:, and he said untoto himHim, I have preparedset up the seven altars, and I have offered up a bullockbull and a ram on everyeach altar.
23:5 AndThen Jehovahthe Lord put a word in Balaams mouth, and said, Return untoto Balak, and thusyou thoushall shaltspeak speakthus.

30:5 But if her father disallowshould forbid her inon the day that he hearethhears of it, none of her vows, or of her bondsobligations wherewithby which she hathhas bound herherself soul, shall stand:; and Jehovahthe Lord will forgive her, because her father disallowedhad forbidden her.

30:16 These are the statutes, which Jehovahthe Lord commanded Moses, as between a man and his wife, and as between a father and his daughter, beingwhile she is in her youth, in her fathers house.
31:1 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
31:2 AvengeTake full vengeance for the childrensons of Israel ofon the Midianites:; afterward shaltyou thouwill be gathered untoto thyyour people.
31:3 And Moses spakespoke untoto the people, saying, Arm ye men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Jehovahsthe Lords vengeance on Midian.
31:4 OfA everythousand tribefrom aeach thousand,tribe throughoutof all the tribes of Israel, you shall ye send to the war.
31:5 So there were delivered,furnished outfrom of the thousands of Israel, a thousand offrom everyeach tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
31:6 And Moses sent them, a thousand offrom everyeach tribe, to the war, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with thethem, vesselsand of the sanctuaryholy vessels and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
31:7 AndSo they warredmade war against Midian, just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded Moses;, and they slewkilled every male.
31:8 And they slewkilled the kings of Midian along with the rest of their slain: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian:; Balaamthey also killed Balaam the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
31:9 And the childrensons of Israel tookcaptured captive the women of Midian and their little ones; and all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took for a preyplundered.
31:10 AndThen they burned all their cities inwhere the places wherein they dwelt,lived and all their encampments,camps they burnt with fire.
31:11 And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of man and of beast.
31:12 And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, untoto Moses, and untoto Eleazar the priest, and untoto the congregation of the childrensons of Israel, untoto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan atopposite Jericho.
31:13 And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princesleaders of the congregation, went forthout to meet them withoutoutside the camp.
31:14 And Moses was wrothangry with the officers of the hostarmy, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who camehad come from the service ofin the war.
31:15 And Moses said untoto them, Have yeyou savedspared all the women alive?
31:16 Behold, these caused the childrensons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against Jehovahthe Lord in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of Jehovahthe Lord.
31:17 Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman thatwho hathhas known man by lying with himintimately.
31:18 But all the womengirls children,who that have not known man by lying with himintimately, keepspare alive for yourselves.
31:19 And encampyou, yecamp withoutoutside the camp seven days:; whosoeverwhoever hathhas killed any person, and whosoeverwhoever hathhas touched any slain, purify yourselves, you and your captives, on the third day and on the seventh day, ye and your captives.
31:20 And asyou toshall purify for yourselves every garment, and allevery thatarticle is made of skin,leather and all the work of goats hair, and all thingsarticles made of wood, ye shall purify yourselves.
31:21 AndThen Eleazar the priest said untoto the men of war thatwho wenthad gone to the battle, This is the statute of the law which Jehovahthe hathLord has commanded Moses:
31:22 howbeitonly the gold, and the silver, the brassbronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
31:23 everything that maycan abidestand the fire, yeyou shall makepass to go through the fire, and it shall be clean;, neverthelessbut it shall be purified with the water for impurity:. andBut allwhatever thatcannot abidethstand not the fire yeyou shall makepass to go through the water.
31:24 And yeyou shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean;, and afterward yeyou shallmay comeenter into the camp.
31:25 AndThen Jehovahthe spakeLord untospoke to Moses, saying,
31:26 TakeYou and Eleazar the sumpriest ofand the preyheads thatof wasthe taken,fathers bothhouseholds of manthe andcongregation, oftake beast,a thou,count andof Eleazar the priest,booty andthat thewas headscaptured, both of theman fathersand houses of the congregationanimal;
31:27 and divide the preybooty into two parts: between the menwarriors skilledwho in war, that went out to battle, and all the congregation.
31:28 And levy a tributetax untofor Jehovahthe ofLord from the men of war thatwho went out to battle:, one soulin of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the oxen,cattle and of the asses,donkeys and of the flocks:sheep;
31:29 take it offrom their half, and give it untoto Eleazar the priest, foras Jehovahsan heaveoffering offeringto the Lord.
31:30 And offrom the childrensons of Israels half, thouyou shaltshall take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the oxencattle, of the asses,donkeys and of the flockssheep, evenfrom of all the cattleanimals, and give them untoto the Levites, thatwho keep the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovahthe Lord.
31:31 And Moses and Eleazar the priest did just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded Moses.
31:32 Now the prey,booty overthat andremained abovefrom the bootyspoil which the men of war took,had plundered was six675,000 hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,
31:33 and threescore72,000 and twelve thousand oxencattle,
31:34 and threescore61,000 and one thousand assesdonkeys,
31:35 and thirtyof andhuman two thousand persons in allbeings, of the women thatwho had not known man byintimately, lyingall withthe himpersons were 32,000.
31:36 And the half, which was the portion of themthose thatwho went out to war, was inas numberfollows: threethe hundrednumber thousandof andsheep thirtywas thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep:337,500,
31:37 and Jehovahsthe tributeLords levy of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.675,
31:38 Andand the oxencattle were thirty36,000, andfrom sixwhich thousand;the ofLords whichlevy Jehovahs tribute was threescore and twelve72.
31:39 And the assesdonkeys were thirty30,500, thousandfrom andwhich fivethe hundred;Lords oflevy which Jehovahs tribute was threescore and one61.
31:40 And the personshuman beings were sixteen16,000, thousand;from of whom Jehovahsthe tributeLords levy was thirty32 and two persons.
31:41 And Moses gave the tribute,levy which was Jehovahsthe heaveLords offering, untoto Eleazar the priest, just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded Moses.
31:42 AndAs offor the childrensons of Israels half, which Moses dividedseparated off from the men thatwho warredhad gone to war
31:43 now the congregations half was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand337,500 seven thousand and five hundred sheep,
31:44 and thirty36,000 and six thousand oxencattle,
31:45 and thirty30,500 thousand and five hundred assesdonkeys,
31:46 and sixteenthe thousandhuman personsbeings were 16,000
31:47 evenand offrom the childrensons of Israels half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of beastanimals, and gave them untoto the Levites, thatwho kept the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah;the Lord, just as Jehovahthe Lord had commanded Moses.
31:48 AndThen the officers thatwho were over the thousands of the hostarmy, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, cameapproached near unto Moses;
31:49 and they said untoto Moses, ThyYour servants have taken thea sumcensus of the men of war thatwho are underin our charge, and thereno lacketh not one man of us is missing.
31:50 AndSo we have brought Jehovahsas oblation,an offering to the Lord what everyeach man hath gottenfound, ofarticles jewels of gold, anklearmlets chains, and bracelets, signet rings, earearrings rings, and armletsnecklaces, to make atonement for ourourselves souls before Jehovahthe Lord.
31:51 And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold offrom them, even all kinds of wrought jewelsarticles.
31:52 And all the gold of the heave offering thatwhich they offered up to Jehovahthe Lord, offrom the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen16,750 thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.
31:53 ForThe the men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.
31:54 AndSo Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold offrom the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it intoto the tent of meeting, foras a memorial for the childrensons of Israel before Jehovahthe Lord.
32:1 Now the childrensons of Reuben and the childrensons of Gad had aan veryexceedingly greatlarge multitudenumber of cattle:livestock. andSo when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold,it thewas placeindeed was a place suitable for cattle;livestock,
32:2 the childrensons of Gad and the childrensons of Reuben came and spakespoke untoto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and untoto the princesleaders of the congregation, saying,
32:3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
32:4 the land which Jehovahthe smoteLord conquered before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattlelivestock; and thyyour servants have cattlelivestock.
32:5 And they said, If we have found favor in thyyour sight, let this land be given untoto thyyour servants foras a possession; bringdo not take us notacross over the Jordan.
32:6 AndBut Moses said untoto the childrensons of Gad, and to the childrensons of Reuben, Shall your brethrenbrothers go to the war, andwhile shallyou yeyourselves sit here?
32:7 AndNow whereforewhy discourageare yeyou thediscouraging heart of the childrensons of Israel from goingcrossing over into the land which Jehovahthe hathLord has given them?
32:8 ThusThis didis what your fathers, did when I sent them from Kadesh barnea to see the land.
32:9 For when they went up untoto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heartsons of theIsrael childrenso of Israel, that they shoulddid not go into the land which Jehovahthe Lord had given them.
32:10 AndSo Jehovahsthe Lords anger wasburned kindled in that day, and heHe swareswore, saying,
32:11 SurelyNone none of the men thatwho came up outfrom of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swareswore untoto Abraham, untoto Isaac, and untoto Jacob; becausefor they havedid not whollyfollow followedMe me:fully,
32:12 saveexcept Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun;, becausefor they have wholly followed Jehovahthe Lord fully.
32:13 AndSo Jehovahsthe Lords anger wasburned kindled against Israel, and heHe made them wander to and fro in the wilderness forty years, until all the entire generation, thatof those who had done evil in the sight of Jehovah,the Lord was consumeddestroyed.
32:14 And,Now behold, yeyou arehave risen up in your fathers steadplace, ana increasebrood of sinful men, to augmentadd yetstill more to the fierceburning anger of Jehovahthe towardLord against Israel.
32:15 For if yeyou turn away from afterfollowing himHim, heHe will yetonce againmore leaveabandon them in the wilderness; and yeyou will destroy all thisthese people.
32:16 AndThen they came near untoto him, and said, We will build here sheepfolds here for our cattle,livestock and cities for our little ones:;
32:17 but we ourselves will be armed ready armed to go before the childrensons of Israel, until we have brought them untoto their place:, andwhile our little ones shalllive dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
32:18 We will not return untoto our houses,homes until every one of the childrensons of Israel havehas inheritedpossessed every man his inheritance.
32:19 For we will not inherithave an inheritance with them on the other side of the Jordan, and forward;beyond, because our inheritance ishas fallen to us on this side of the Jordan eastwardtoward the east.
32:20 AndSo Moses said untoto them, If yeyou will do this thing, if yeyou will arm yourselves tobefore gothe beforeLord Jehovahfor to the war,
32:21 and everyall armed man of you willarmed passmen cross over the Jordan before Jehovah,the Lord until heHe hathhas driven outHis his enemies out from before himHim,
32:22 and the land is subdued before Jehovah;the Lord, then afterward yeyou shall return, and be guiltlessfree towardsof Jehovah,obligation toward the Lord and towardstoward Israel;, and this land shall be untoyours you for a possession before Jehovahthe Lord.
32:23 But if yeyou will not do so, behold, yeyou have sinned against Jehovah;the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out.
32:24 Build youyourselves cities for your little ones, and foldssheepfolds for your sheep; and do thatwhat whichyou hathhave proceeded out of your mouthpromised.
32:25 And the childrensons of Gad and the childrensons of Reuben spakespoke untoto Moses, saying, ThyYour servants will do just as my Lord commandethcommands.
32:26 Our little ones, our wives, our flocks,livestock and all our cattle, shall beremain there in the cities of Gilead;
32:27 butwhile thyyour servants will pass over, everyeveryone manwho that is armed for war, beforewill Jehovahcross over in the presence of the Lord to battle, just as my Lord saithsays.
32:28 So Moses gave chargecommand concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers houseshouseholds of the tribes of the childrensons of Israel.
32:29 And Moses said untoto them, If the childrensons of Gad and the childrensons of Reuben, everyone who is armed for battle, will passcross with you over the Jordan, everyin manthe thatpresence isof armedthe to battleLord, before Jehovah, and the land shallwill be subdued before you;, then yeyou shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:;
32:30 but if they will not passcross over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
32:31 And the childrensons of Gad and the childrensons of Reuben answered, saying, As Jehovahthe hathLord has said untoto thyyour servants, so we will we do.
32:32 We ourselves will passcross over armed beforein Jehovahthe presence of the Lord into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyondacross the Jordan.
32:33 AndSo Moses gave untoto them, even to the childrensons of Gad, and to the childrensons of Reuben, and untoto the half tribe of ManassehJosephs the son of JosephManasseh, the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og, the king of Bashan, the land, accordingwith toits the cities thereof with their bordersterritories, even the cities of the surrounding land round about.
32:34 And the childrensons of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
32:35 and Atroth shophan, and Jazer, and Jogbehah,
32:36 and Beth nimrah, and Beth haran: as fortified cities, and foldssheepfolds for sheep.
32:37 And the childrensons of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim,
32:38 and Nebo, and Baal meon, their names being changed, and Sibmah:, and they gave other names untoto the cities which they buildedbuilt.
32:39 And the childrensons of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorites thatwho were thereinin it.
32:40 AndSo Moses gave Gilead untoto Machir the son of Manasseh;, and he dweltlived thereinin it.
32:41 And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took theits towns thereof, and called them Havvoth jair.
32:42 And Nobah went and took Kenath, and theits villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
