5:23 If therefore thouyou artare offeringpresenting thyyour giftoffering at the altar, and there rememberestremember that thyyour brother hathhas aughtsomething against theeyou,
5:24 leave thereyour thyoffering giftthere before the altar, and go thyyour way,; first be reconciled to thyyour brother, and then come and offerpresent thyyour giftoffering.
5:25 AgreeMake friends quickly with thineyour adversaryopponent quickly,at law while thouyou artare with him inon the way;, lestin haplyorder thethat adversaryyour opponent may not deliver theeyou to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thouyou be castthrown into prison.
5:26 VerilyTruly I say untoto theeyou, Thouyou shaltshall bynot no means come out thenceof there, tilluntil thouyou have paid up the last farthingcent.
5:27 YeYou have heard that it was said, ThouYou shaltshall not commit adultery:;
5:28 but I say untoto you, that everyeveryone onewho thatlooks looketh on a woman to lust afterfor her hathhas committed adultery with her already in his heart.
5:29 And if thyyour right eye causethmakes theeyou to stumble, plucktear it out, and castthrow it from thee:you; for it is profitablebetter for theeyou that one of thythe membersparts shouldof your body perish, andthan notfor thyyour whole body to be castthrown into hell.
5:30 And if thyyour right hand causethmakes theeyou to stumble, cut it off, and castthrow it from thee:you; for it is profitablebetter for theeyou that one of thythe membersparts shouldof your body perish, andthan notfor thyyour whole body to go into hell.
5:31 ItAnd it was said also, WhosoeverWhoever shallsends put away his wife away, let him give her a writingcertificate of divorcement:divorce;
5:32 but I say untoto you, that everyeveryone onewho thatdivorces putteth away his wife, savingexcept for the cause of fornicationunchastity, makethmakes her ancommit adulteress:adultery; and whosoeverwhoever shallmarries marrya herdivorced whenwoman shecommits is put away committeth adultery.
5:33 Again, yeyou have heard that itthe wasancients saidwere to them of old timetold, ThouYou shaltshall not forswearmake thyselffalse vows, but shaltshall performfulfill untoyour vows to the Lord thine oaths:.
5:34 butBut I say untoto you, Swearmake notno oath at all;, neithereither by the heaven, for it is the throne of God;,
5:35 noror by the earth, for it is the footstool of hisHis feet;, noror by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
5:36 NeitherNor shaltshall thouyou swearmake an oath by thyyour head, for thouyou canstcannot not make one hair white or black.
5:37 But let your speechstatement be, YeaYes, yea;yes Nayor No, nay:no; and whatsoeveranything isbeyond more than these is of the evil one.
5:38 YeYou have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:.
5:39 butBut I say untoto you, Resistdo not resist him thatwho is evil:; but whosoeverwhoever smitethslaps theeyou on thyyour right cheek, turn to him the other also.
5:40 And if anyanyone manwants would go to lawsue with theeyou, and take awayyour thy coatshirt, let him have thyyour cloakcoat also.
5:41 And whosoeverwhoever shall compelforce theeyou to go one mile, go with him two.
5:42 Give to him thatwho askethasks theeof you, and fromdo himnot thatturn wouldaway borrowfrom ofhim theewho turnwants notto thouborrow awayfrom you.
5:43 YeYou have heard that it was said, ThouYou shaltshall love thyyour neighbor, and hate thineyour enemy:.
5:44 butBut I say untoto you, Lovelove your enemies, and pray for themthose thatwho persecute you;
5:45 in order that yeyou may be sons of your Father who is in heaven:; for heHe makethcauses hisHis sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendethsends rain on the justrighteous and the unjustunrighteous.
5:46 For if yeyou love themthose thatwho love you, what reward have yeyou? doDo not even the publicanstax gatherers do the same?
5:47 And if yeyou salutegreet your brethrenbrothers only, what do yeyou do more than others? doDo not even the Gentiles do the same?
5:48 YeTherefore thereforeyou shallare to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
6:1 TakeBeware heedof thatpracticing ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seennoticed ofby them:; elseotherwise yeyou have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.
6:2 When therefore thouyou doestgive alms, sounddo not sound a trumpet before theeyou, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may havebe gloryhonored ofby men. VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Theythey have received their reward in full.
6:3 But when thouyou doestgive alms, letdo not thylet your left hand know what thyyour right hand doeth:is doing
6:4 that thineyour alms may be in secret:; and thyyour Father who seethsees in secret shallwill recompenserepay theeyou.
6:5 And when yeyou pray, yeyou shallare not to be as the hypocrites:; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and inon the street corners of the streets, thatin theyorder mayto be seen ofby men. VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Theythey have received their reward in full.
6:6 But thouyou, when thouyou prayestpray, entergo into thineyour inner chamberroom, and havingwhen you have shut thyyour door, pray to thyyour Father who is in secret, and thyyour Father who seethsees in secret shallwill recompenserepay theeyou.
6:7 And inwhen you are praying, usedo not vainuse repetitionsmeaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do:, for they thinksuppose that they shallwill be heard for their muchmany speakingwords.
6:8 BeTherefore do not thereforebe like unto them:; for your Father knowethknows what thingsyou ye have need of, before yeyou ask himHim.
6:9 AfterPray, thisthen, mannerin thereforethis pray yeway: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thyThy name.
6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven, so on earth.
6:13 And bringdo not lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the evilkingdom, oneand the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
6:14 For if yeyou forgive men for their trespassestransgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
6:15 But if yeyou forgivedo not forgive men, theirthen trespasses,your neitherFather will yournot Father forgive your trespassestransgressions.
6:16 MoreoverAnd whenwhenever yeyou fast, bedo not, put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, of a sad countenance: for they disfigureneglect their faces,appearance thatin theyorder mayto be seen offasting by men to fast. VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Theythey have received their reward in full.
6:17 But thouyou, when thouyou fastestfast, anoint thyyour head, and wash thyyour face;
6:18 so that thouyou bemay not be seen offasting by men to fast, but ofby thyyour Father who is in secret:; and thyyour Father, who seethsees in secret, shallwill recompenserepay theeyou.
6:19 LayDo not lay up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consumedestroy, and where thieves break throughin and steal:.
6:20 butBut lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consumedestroys, and where thieves do not break throughin noror steal:;
6:21 for where thyyour treasure is, there will thyyour heart be also.
6:22 The lamp of the body is the eye:; if therefore thineyour eye beis singleclear, thyyour whole body shallwill be full of light.
6:23 But if thineyour eye beis evilbad, thyyour whole body shallwill be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in theeyou beis darkness, how great is the darkness!
6:24 No manone can serve two masters:; for either he will hate the one, and love the other;, or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. YeYou cannot serve God and mammon.
6:25 ThereforeFor this reason I say untoto you, Bedo not be anxious for your life, as to what yeyou shall eat, or what yeyou shall drink; nor yet for your body, as to what yeyou shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raimentclothing?
6:26 BeholdLook at the birds of the heavenair, that they sowdo not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;, and yet your heavenly Father feedethfeeds them. Are you not yeworth of much more value than they?
6:27 And which of you by being anxious can add onea single cubit untoto thehis measurelifes of his lifespan?
6:28 And why are yeyou anxious concerningabout raimentclothing? ConsiderObserve how the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toildo not, neithertoil nor do they spin:,
6:29 yet I say untoto you, that even Solomon in all his glory wasdid not arrayedclothe himself like one of these.
6:30 But if God doth so clothearrays the grass of the field, which tois dayalive is,today and totomorrow morrow is castthrown into the ovenfurnace, shallwill heHe not much more clothedo so for you, O yemen of little faith?
6:31 BeDo not thereforebe anxious then, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, WherewithalWith what shall we beclothe clothedourselves?
6:32 For after all these things do the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knowethknows that yeyou have need of all these things.
6:33 But seek ye first hisHis kingdom, and hisHis righteousness; and all these things shall be added untoto you.
6:34 BeTherefore do not thereforebe anxious for thetomorrow; morrow: for thetomorrow morrow will becare anxious for itself. SufficientEach untoday thehas dayenough istrouble theof evilits thereofown.
7:1 JudgeDo not, thatjudge yelest you be not judged.
7:2 For within whatthe judgmentway yeyou judge, yeyou shallwill be judged:; and withby whatyour measurestandard yeof metemeasure, it shallwill be measured untoto you.
7:3 And why beholdestdo thouyou look at the motespeck that is in thyyour brothers eye, but considerestdo not notice the beamlog that is in thineyour own eye?
7:4 Or how wiltcan thouyou say to thyyour brother, Let me casttake out the motespeck out of thineyour eye;, and lobehold, the beamlog is in thineyour own eye?
7:5 ThouYou hypocrite, castfirst outtake first the beamlog out of thineyour own eye;, and then shaltyou thouwill see clearly to casttake out the motespeck out of thyyour brothers eye.
7:6 GiveDo not thatgive whichwhat is holy untoto the dogs, neitherand castdo not throw your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rendtear you to pieces.
7:7 Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and yeyou shall find; knock, and it shall be opened untoto you:.
7:8 forFor everyeveryone onewho thatasks askethreceives, receiveth; and he thatwho seekethseeks findeth;finds, and to him thatwho knockethknocks it shall be opened.
7:9 Or what man is there ofamong you, who,when if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;?
7:10 orOr if he shall ask for a fish, he will not give him a serpentsnake, will he?
7:11 If yeyou then, being evil, know how to give good gifts untoto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is good things to themthose thatwho ask him?Him!
7:12 AllTherefore, thingshowever thereforeyou whatsoeverwant yepeople wouldto thattreat men should do unto you, even so dotreat ye also unto them:, for this is the lawLaw and the prophetsProphets.
7:13 Enter ye in by the narrow gate:; for widethe gate is the gatewide, and broadthe way is thebroad way, that leadethleads to destruction, and many are theythose thatwho enter inby therebyit.
7:14 For narrowthe gate is the gatesmall, and straitened the way, is narrow that leadethleads untoto life, and few are theythose thatwho find it.
7:15 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly are raveningravenous wolves.
7:16 ByYou theirwill fruitsknow yethem shallby knowtheir themfruits. DoGrapes menare gathernot grapesgathered offrom thornsthorn bushes, ornor figs offrom thistles, are they?
7:17 Even so, every good tree bringethbears forth good fruit; but the corruptbad tree bringethbears forthbad evil fruit.
7:18 A good tree cannot bringproduce forthbad evil fruit, neithernor can a corruptbad tree bringproduce forth good fruit.
7:19 Every tree that bringethdoes not forthbear good fruit is hewncut down, and castthrown into the fire.
7:20 ThereforeSo bythen, theiryou fruitswill yeknow shallthem knowby themtheir fruits.

7:22 Many will say to meMe inon that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy byin thyYour name, and byin thyYour name cast out demons, and byin thyYour name doperform many mighty worksmiracles?
7:23 And then I will Ideclare professto unto them, I never knew you:; depart from meMe, yeyou thatwho workpractice iniquitylawlessness.
7:24 EveryTherefore oneeveryone thereforewho thathears heareth these words of mineMine, and doethacts upon them, shallmay be likenedcompared untoto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:.
7:25 andAnd the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beatburst uponagainst that house; and yet it felldid not: fall, for it washad been founded upon the rock.

8:8 AndBut the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy thatfor thouYou shouldestto come under my roof;, but onlyjust say the word, and my servant shallwill be healed.
8:9 For I, alsotoo, am a man under authority, havingwith soldiers under myselfme; soldiers: and I say to this one, Go,! and he goeth;goes, and to another, Come,! and he cometh;comes, and to my servantslave, Do this,! and he doethdoes it.
8:10 AndNow when Jesus heard itthis, heHe marvelledmarveled, and said to themthose thatwho followedwere following, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, I have not found sosuch great faith, no,with notanyone in Israel.
8:11 And I say untoto you, that many shall come from the east and the west, and shallrecline sitat downthe table with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven:;
8:12 but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast forthout into the outer darkness:; in that place there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

8:17 thatin itorder mightthat bewhat fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, He Himself took our infirmities, and barecarried away our diseases.
8:18 Now when Jesus saw greata multitudescrowd aboutaround himHim, heHe gave commandmentorders to depart untoto the other side.
8:19 And therea camecertain a scribe, came and said untoto himHim, Teacher, I will follow theeYou whithersoeverwherever thouYou goestgo.
8:20 And Jesus saithsaid untoto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heavenair have nests; but the Son of manMan hathhas notnowhere where to lay hisHis head.

8:23 And when heHe wasgot entered into athe boat, hisHis disciples followed himHim.
8:24 And behold, there arose a great tempeststorm in the sea, insomuchso that the boat was covered with the waves:; but heHe Himself was asleep.
8:25 And they came to himHim, and awoke himHim, saying, Save us, Lord; we perish.are perishing!

8:30 Now there was afarat offa distance from them a herd of many swine feeding.
8:31 And the demons besoughtbegan himto entreat Him, saying, If thouYou are going to cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.
8:32 And heHe said untoto them, Go.Begone! And they came out, and went into the swine:, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and perished in the waters.
8:33 And theythe thatherdsmen fedran them fledaway, and went awayto into the city, and toldreported everything, andincluding whatthe wasincident befallenof tothe them that were possessed with demonsdemoniacs.
8:34 And behold, all the whole city came out to meet Jesus:; and when they saw himHim, they besoughtentreated himHim thatto he would depart from their bordersregion.

9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, WhereforeWhy thinkare yeyou thinking evil in your hearts?
9:5 For which is easier, to say, ThyYour sins are forgiven;, or to say, AriseRise, and walk ?
9:6 But in order that yeyou may know that the Son of manMan hathhas authority on earth to forgive sins then saithHe hesaid to the sickparalytic of the palsyRise, Arise, and take up thyyour bed, and go unto thy househome.
9:7 And he aroserose, and departedwent to his househome.
9:8 But when the multitudes saw itthis, they were afraidfilled with awe, and glorified God, who had given such authority untoto men.
9:9 And as Jesus passed byon from thencethere, heHe saw a man, called Matthew, sitting atin the placetax ofoffice; toll: and heHe saithsaid untoto him, Follow me.Me! And he aroserose, and followed himHim.
9:10 And it camehappened tothat pass, as heHe satwas reclining at meatthe table in the house, behold, many publicanstax gatherers and sinners came and satwere downdining with Jesus and hisHis disciples.
9:11 And when the Pharisees saw itthis, they said untoto hisHis disciples, Why eatethis your Teacher eating with the publicanstax gatherers and sinners?
9:12 But when heHe heard itthis, heHe said, TheyIt thatis not those who are wholehealthy havewho no need of a physician, but theythose thatwho are sick.
9:13 But go ye and learn what this meanethmeans, I desire mercycompassion, and not sacrifice:, for I camedid not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
9:14 Then come to him the disciples of John came to Him, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thyYour disciples fastdo not fast?

9:16 AndBut no manone puttethputs a piecepatch of undressedunshrunk cloth uponon an old garment; for thatthe whichpatch shouldpulls fillaway it up taketh from the garment, and a worse renttear is maderesults.
9:17 NeitherNor do men put new wine into old winewineskins; skins:otherwise else the skinswineskins burst, and the wine ispours spilledout, and the skinswineskins perish:are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wine skinswineskins, and both are preserved.
9:18 While heHe spakewas saying these things untoto them, behold, there came a rulersynagogue official, and worshippedbowed himdown before Him, saying, My daughter ishas evenjust nowdied; dead: but come and lay thyYour hand uponon her, and she shallwill live.
9:19 And Jesus arose,rose and followedbegan to follow him, and so did hisHis disciples.
9:20 And behold, a woman, who had anbeen issuesuffering offrom blooda hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind him,Him and touched the borderfringe of hisHis garment:cloak;
9:21 for she saidwas withinsaying to herself, If I doonly but touch hisHis garment, I shall beget made wholewell.
9:22 But Jesus turning and seeing her said, Daughter, betake of good cheercourage; thyyour faith hathhas made theeyou wholewell. And at once the woman was made whole from that hourwell.
9:23 And when Jesus came into the rulersofficials house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd makingin anoisy tumultdisorder,
9:24 heHe saidbegan to say, GiveDepart; place: for the damselgirl ishas not deaddied, but sleepethis asleep. And they laughedbegan himlaughing toat scornHim.
9:25 But when the crowd washad been put forthout, heHe entered in, and took her by the hand; and the damselgirl arose.
9:26 And thethis famenews hereof went forthout into all that land.
9:27 And as Jesus passed byon from thencethere, two blind men followed himHim, crying out, and saying, Have mercy on us, thouSon son of David.!
9:28 And whenafter heHe washad come into the house, the blind men came up to him:Him, and Jesus saithsaid untoto them, BelieveDo yeyou believe that I am able to do this? They saysaid untoto himHim, YeaYes, Lord.
9:29 Then He touched he their eyes, saying, AccordingBe toit yourdone faithto beyou itaccording doneto untoyour youfaith.
9:30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictlysternly chargedwarned them, saying, See thathere, let no manone know it.about this!
9:31 But they went forthout, and spread abroadthe hisnews fameabout Him in all that land.
9:32 And as they wentwere forthgoing out, behold, there was brought to him a dumb man, demon possessed, withwas abrought demonto Him.
9:33 And whenafter the demon was cast out, the dumb man spake:spoke; and the multitudes marvelledmarveled, saying, ItNothing like this was neverever so seen in Israel.
9:34 But the Pharisees saidwere saying, ByHe casts out the princedemons ofby the demonsruler castethof hethe out demons.
9:35 And Jesus wentwas going about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preachingproclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing allevery mannerkind of disease and allevery mannerkind of sickness.
9:36 ButAnd whenseeing he saw the multitudes, heHe wasfelt moved with compassion for them, because they were distressed and scattered,downcast aslike sheep notwithout having a shepherd.
9:37 Then saithHe hesaid untoto hisHis disciples, The harvest indeed is plenteousplentiful, but the laborersworkers are few.
9:38 PrayTherefore yebeseech therefore the Lord of the harvest, thatto he send forthout laborersworkers into hisHis harvest.
10:1 And hehaving calledsummoned untoHis him his twelve disciples, andHe gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal allevery mannerkind of disease and allevery mannerkind of sickness.
10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publicantax gatherer; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
10:4 Simon the CananaeanZealot, and Judas Iscariot, the one who also betrayed himHim.
10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth,out andafter chargedinstructing them, saying, GoDo not intogo anyin the way of the Gentiles, and enterdo not intoenter any city of the Samaritans:;
10:6 but rather go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
10:7 And as yeyou go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons:; freely yeyou received, freely give.
10:9 GetDo younot noacquire gold, noror silver, noror brasscopper infor your purses;money belts,
10:10 noor walleta bag for your journey, neitheror even two coatstunics, noror shoessandals, noror a staff:; for the laborerworker is worthy of his foodsupport.
10:11 And into whatsoeverwhatever city or village yeyou shall enter, searchinquire out who is worthy in it is worthy; and abide there abideuntil tillyou ye go forthaway.
10:12 And as yeyou enter into the house, salutegive it your greeting.
10:13 And if the house beis worthy, let your greeting of peace come upon it:; but if it beis not worthy, let your greeting of peace return to you.
10:14 And whosoeverwhoever shalldoes not receive you, nor hearheed your words, as yeyou go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.
10:15 VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Itit shallwill be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
10:16 Behold, I send you forthout as sheep in the midst of wolves:; therefore be yeshrewd therefore wise as serpents, and harmlessinnocent as doves.
10:17 But beware of men:; for they will deliver you up to councilsthe courts, and scourge you in their synagogues they will scourge you;
10:18 yea and you shall even be brought before governors and kings shall ye be brought for myMy sake, foras a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
10:19 But when they deliver you up, bedo not become anxious about how or what yeyou shallwill speak:; for it shall be given you in that hour what yeyou shallare to speak.
10:20 For it is not yeyou thatwho speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father thatwho speakethspeaks in you.
10:21 And brother shallwill deliver up brother to death, and thea father his child:; and children shallwill rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:22 And yeyou shallwill be hated ofby all menon foraccount myof namesMy sake:name, but heit thatis endureththe one who has endured to the end, thewho samewill shall be saved.
10:23 But whenwhenever they persecute you in this city, flee intoto the next:; for verilytruly I say untoto you, Yeyou shall not havefinish gonegoing through the cities of Israel, tilluntil the Son of manMan be comecomes.
10:24 A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servantslave above his Lordmaster.
10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he bebecome as his teacher, and the servantslave as his Lordmaster. If they have called the masterhead of the house BeelzebubBeelzebul, how much more themthe members of his household!
10:26 FearTherefore themdo not therefore:fear them, for there is nothing covered, that shallwill not be revealed;, and hid,hidden that shallwill not be known.
10:27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak ye in the light; and what yeyou hear whispered in theyour ear, proclaim upon the house topshousetops.
10:28 And bedo not afraidfear ofthose themwho that kill the body, but are notunable able to kill the soul:; but rather fear himHim who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a pennycent? andAnd yet not one of them shallwill fall onto the ground withoutapart from your Father:.
10:30 butBut the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
10:31 FearTherefore do not therefore:fear; yeyou are of more value than many sparrows.
10:32 EveryEveryone one therefore who shall confess meMe before men, himI will I also confess him before myMy Father who is in heaven.
10:33 But whosoeverwhoever shall deny meMe before men, himI will I also deny him before myMy Father who is in heaven.
10:34 ThinkDo not think that I came to sendbring peace on the earth:; I camedid not come to sendbring peace, but a sword.
10:35 For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and thea daughter against her mother, and thea daughter ininlaw law against her mother in law:;
10:36 and a mans foesenemies shallwill be theythe members of his own household.
10:37 He thatwho lovethloves father or mother more than meMe is not worthy of meMe; and he thatwho lovethloves son or daughter more than meMe is not worthy of meMe.
10:38 And he thatwho dothdoes not take his cross and follow after me,Me is not worthy of meMe.
10:39 He thatwho findethhas found his life shall lose it;, and he thatwho losethhas lost his life for myMy sake shall find it.
10:40 He thatwho receivethreceives you receivethreceives meMe, and he thatwho receivethreceives meMe receivethreceives himHim thatwho sent meMe.
10:41 He thatwho receivethreceives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophets reward:; and he thatwho receivethreceives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous mans reward.
10:42 And whosoeverwhoever shallin givethe toname drinkof untoa disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water only,to in the name of a discipledrink, verilytruly I say untoto you he shall innot no wise lose his reward.
11:1 And it came toabout passthat when Jesus had finished commandinggiving hisinstructions to His twelve disciples, heHe departed thencefrom there to teach and preach in their cities.
11:2 Now when John heard in the prison heard of the works of the Christ, he sent word by his disciples,
11:3 and said untoto himHim, ArtAre thouYou hethe thatExpected comethOne, or lookshall we look for anothersomeone else?
11:4 And Jesus answered and said untoto them, Go and tellreport to John thewhat thingsyou which ye hear and see:
11:5 the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have goodthe tidingsgospel preached to them.
11:6 And blessed is he, whosoeverwho shallkeeps findfrom no occasion of stumbling inover meMe.
11:7 And as these wentwere theirgoing wayaway, Jesus began to sayspeak untoto the multitudes concerningabout John, What wentdid yeyou go out into the wilderness to beholdlook at? aA reed shaken withby the wind?
11:8 But what wentdid yeyou go out to see? aA man clotheddressed in soft raimentclothing? Behold, theythose thatwho wear soft raimentclothing are in kings housespalaces.
11:9 But whereforewhy wentdid yeyou go out? toTo see a prophet? YeaYes, I say untoto you, and muchone who is more than a prophet.
11:10 This is he,the ofone about whom it is written, Behold, I send myMy messenger before thyYour face, Who shallwill prepare thyYour way before theeYou.
11:11 VerilyTruly, I say untoto you, Amongamong themthose that are born of women there hathhas not arisen aanyone greater than John the Baptist:; yet he thatwho is butleast little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven sufferethsuffers violence, and violent men of violence take it by force.
11:13 For all the prophets and the lawLaw prophesied until John.
11:14 And if yeyou arecare willing to receiveaccept it, thishe himself is Elijah, thatwho iswas to come.
11:15 He thatwho hathhas ears to hear, let him hear.
11:16 But whereuntoto what shall I likencompare this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the marketplacesmarket places, who call untoout theirto fellowsthe other children,
11:17 and say, We pipedplayed untothe flute for you, and yeyou did not dance; we wailedsang a dirge, and yeyou did not mourn.
11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hathhas a demon.!
11:19 The Son of manMan came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a gluttonous man and a winebibberdrunkard, a friend of publicanstax gatherers and sinners! AndYet wisdom is justifiedvindicated by her worksdeeds.
11:20 Then He began he to upbraidreproach the cities whereinin which most of hisHis mightymiracles works were done, because they repenteddid not repent.
11:21 Woe untoto theeyou, Chorazin! woeWoe untoto theeyou, Bethsaida! forFor if the mightymiracles works had beenoccurred done in Tyre and Sidon which wereoccurred done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
11:22 ButNevertheless I say untoto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, than for you.
11:23 And thouyou, Capernaum, shaltwill thounot be exalted untoto heaven, will you? thouYou shaltshall godescend downto unto Hades:; for if the mightymiracles works had beenoccurred done in Sodom which wereoccurred done in theeyou, it would have remained untilto this day.
11:24 ButNevertheless I say untoto you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for theeyou.
11:25 At that seasontime Jesus answered and said, I thankpraise theeThee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thouThou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding,intelligent and didst reveal them untoto babes:.
11:26 yeaYes, Father, for sothus it was well pleasing in thyThy sight.
11:27 All things have been deliveredhanded untoover meto ofMe myby My Father:; and no one knowethknows the Son, saveexcept the Father; neithernor dothdoes anyanyone know the Father, saveexcept the Son, and heanyone to whomsoeverwhom the Son willethwills to reveal himHim.
11:28 Come untoto meMe, all yewho thatare laborweary and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
11:29 Take myMy yoke upon you, and learn offrom me;Me, for I am meekgentle and lowlyhumble in heart:; and yeyou shall find rest untofor your souls.
11:30 For myMy yoke is easy, and myMy burdenload is light.
12:1 At that seasontime Jesus went on the sabbathSabbath day through the grainfields;, and hisHis disciples werebecame hungry and began to pluckpick earsthe heads of grain and to eat.
12:2 But when the Pharisees, when they saw it, they said untoto himHim, Behold, thyYour disciples do thatwhat which it is not lawful to do uponon thea sabbathSabbath.
12:3 But heHe said untoto them, Have yeyou not read what David did, when he wasbecame hungry, he and theyhis that were with himcompanions;
12:4 how he entered into the house of God, and they ate the showbreadconsecrated bread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, neithernor for themthose that were with him, but only for the priests alone?
12:5 Or have yeyou not read in the lawLaw, that on the sabbathSabbath day the priests in the temple profanebreak the sabbathSabbath, and are guiltlessinnocent?
12:6 But I say untoto you, that onesomething greater than the temple is here.
12:7 But if yeyou had known what this meanethmeans, I desire mercycompassion, and not a sacrifice, yeyou would not have condemned the guiltlessinnocent.
12:8 For the Son of manMan is Lord of the sabbathSabbath.
12:9 And hedeparting departedfrom thencethere, andHe went into their synagogue:.
12:10 andAnd behold, there was a man havingwith a withered hand. And they askedquestioned himHim, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath daySabbath? in order that they might accuse himHim.
12:11 And heHe said untoto them, What man shall there be ofamong you, thatwho shall have one sheep, and if thisit fallfalls into a pit on the sabbath daySabbath, will he not laytake hold onof it, and lift it out?
12:12 HowOf how much more value then is a man of more value than a sheep! WhereforeSo then, it is lawful to do good on the sabbath daySabbath.
12:13 Then saithHe hesaid to the man, Stretch forthout thyyour hand.! And he stretched it forth;out, and it was restored wholeto normal, aslike the other.
12:14 But the Pharisees went out, and tookcounseled counseltogether against himHim, as to how they might destroy himHim.
12:15 AndBut Jesus, perceivingaware itof this, withdrew from thence:there. andAnd many followed him;Him, and heHe healed them all,
12:16 and chargedwarned them thatnot theyto should not make himHim known:,
12:17 thatin itorder mightthat bewhat fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, might be fulfilled, saying,
12:18 Behold, myMy servantServant whom I have chosen; My belovedBeloved in whom myMy soul is well pleased:; I will put myMy Spirit upon himHim, And heHe shall declareproclaim judgmentjustice to the Gentiles.
12:19 He shallwill not strivequarrel, nor cry aloudout; NeitherNor shallwill anyanyone one hear hisHis voice in the streets.
12:20 A bruisedbattered reed shallHe hewill not break off, And smokinga flaxsmoldering shallwick heHe will not quenchput out, TillUntil heHe sendleads forthjustice judgmentto unto victory.
12:21 And in hisHis name shall the Gentiles will hope.
12:22 Then there was brought untoto himHim onea demon possessed withman awho demon,was blind and dumb:, and heHe healed him, insomuchso that the dumb man spakespoke and saw.
12:23 And all the multitudes were amazed, and saidbegan to say, CanThis thisman cannot be the sonSon of David, can he?
12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man dothcasts not cast out demons, butonly by BeelzebubBeelzebul the princeruler of the demons.
12:25 And knowing their thoughts heHe said untoto them, EveryAny kingdom divided against itself is broughtlaid to desolationwaste; and everyany city or house divided against itself shall not stand:.
12:26 andAnd if Satan castethcasts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?
12:27 And if I by BeelzebubBeelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? thereforeConsequently they shall they be your judges.
12:28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God has come upon you.
12:29 Or how can oneanyone enter into the housestrong ofmans thehouse strongand man,carry andoff spoil his goodsproperty, exceptunless he first bindbinds the strong man? andAnd then he will spoilplunder his house.
12:30 He thatwho is not with meMe is against meMe; and he thatwho gatherethdoes not gather with meMe scatterethscatters.
12:31 Therefore I say untoto you, Everyany sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men;, but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
12:32 And whosoeverwhoever shall speak a word against the Son of manMan, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoeverwhoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neithereither in this worldage, noror in thatthe whichage is to come.
12:33 Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corruptbad, and its fruit corrupt:bad; for the tree is known by its fruit.
12:34 YeYou offspringbrood of vipers, how can yeyou, being evil, speak what is good things? forFor the mouth speaks out of thethat abundancewhich offills the heart the mouth speaketh.
12:35 The good man out of his good treasure bringethbrings forth what is good; things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringethbrings forth what is evil things.
12:36 And I say untoto you, that every idlecareless word that men shall speak, they shall giverender account thereoffor it in the day of judgment.
12:37 For by thyyour words thouyou shaltshall be justified, and by thyyour words thouyou shaltshall be condemned.
12:38 Then certainsome of the scribes and Pharisees answered himHim, saying, Teacher, we wouldwant to see a sign from theeYou.
12:39 But heHe answered and said untoto them, An evil and adulterous generation seekethcraves afterfor a sign; and thereyet shall no sign shall be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet:;
12:40 for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale;sea monster, so shall the Son of manMan be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
12:41 The men of Nineveh shall stand up inwith thethis judgmentgeneration withat thisthe generationjudgment, and shall condemn it: forbecause they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, asomething greater than Jonah is here.
12:42 The queenQueen of the southSouth shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, at the judgment and shall condemn it:, forbecause she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, asomething greater than Solomon is here.
12:43 ButNow when the unclean spirit, whengoes he is gone out of thea man, passethit passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and findethdoes not find it not.
12:44 Then heit saithsays, I will return intoto my house whencefrom which I came out; and when heit is comecomes, heit findethfinds it emptyunoccupied, swept, and garnishedput in order.
12:45 Then goethit hegoes, and takethtakes along with himselfit seven other spirits more evilwicked than himselfitself, and they entergo in and dwelllive there:; and the last state of that man becomethbecomes worse than the first. EvenThat sois shallthe way it bewill also untobe with this evil generation.
12:46 While heHe was yetstill speaking to the multitudes, behold, hisHis mother and hisbrothers brethrenwere stoodstanding withoutoutside, seeking to speak to himHim.
12:47 And onesomeone said untoto himHim, Behold, thyYour mother and thyYour brethrenbrothers standare without,standing outside seeking to speak to theeYou.
12:48 But heHe answered andthe saidone untowho himwas thattelling toldHim himand said, Who is myMy mother? and who are myMy brethrenbrothers?
12:49 And hestretching stretchedout forthHis his hand towardstoward hisHis disciples, andHe said, Behold, myMy mother and myMy brethrenbrothers!
12:50 For whosoeverwhoever shalldoes do the will of myMy Father who is in heaven, he is myMy brother, and sister, and mother.
13:1 On that day Jesus went Jesus out of the house, and satwas sitting by the sea side.
13:2 And theregreat weremultitudes gathered untoto him great multitudesHim, so that heHe enteredgot into a boat, and sat; down, and all the whole multitude stoodwas standing on the beach.
13:3 And heHe spakespoke many things to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forthout to sow;
13:4 and as he sowed, some seeds fell bybeside the way sideroad, and the birds came and devouredate them: up.
13:5 andAnd others fell upon the rocky places, where they haddid not have much earth:soil; and straightwayimmediately they sprang up, because they had no deepnessdepth of earth:soil.
13:6 andBut when the sun washad risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
13:7 And others fell uponamong the thorns;, and the thorns grewcame up and choked them: out.
13:8 andAnd others fell uponon the good groundsoil, and yielded fruita crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.
13:9 He thatwho hathhas ears, let him hear.
13:10 And the disciples came, and said untoto himHim, Why speakestdo thouYou untospeak to them in parables?
13:11 And heHe answered and said untoto them, UntoTo you it ishas givenbeen granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it ishas not givenbeen granted.
13:12 For whosoeverwhoever hathhas, to him shall more be given, and he shall have an abundance:; but whosoeverwhoever hathdoes not have, fromeven himwhat he has shall be taken away evenfrom that which he hathhim.
13:13 Therefore I speak I to them in parables; because while seeing they seedo not see, and while hearing they heardo not hear, neithernor do they understand.
13:14 And untoin themtheir iscase fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which saithsays, ByYou hearingwill yekeep shallon hearhearing, andbut shallwill innot no wise understand; And seeingyou yewill shallkeep seeon seeing, andbut shallwill innot no wise perceive:;
13:15 For the heart of this peoplespeople hearthas isbecome waxed grossdull, And with their ears arethey dullscarcely of hearinghear, And their eyes they have closed; their eyes Lest haply they should perceivesee with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, Andand should turn againreturn, And I should heal them.
13:16 But blessed are your eyes, forbecause they see; and your ears, forbecause they hear.
13:17 For verilytruly I say untoto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see thewhat thingsyou which ye see, and sawdid themnot notsee it; and to hear thewhat thingsyou which ye hear, and hearddid themnot nothear it.
13:18 Hear then ye the parable of the sower.
13:19 When anyanyone onehears heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandethdoes it not, thenunderstand comethit, the evil one, comes and snatchethsnatches away thatwhat whichhas hath been sown in his heart. This is hethe thatone on whom seed was sown bybeside the way sideroad.
13:20 And hethe thatone on whom seed was sown uponon the rocky places, this is hethe thatman hearethwho hears the word, and straightwayimmediately receives it with joy receiveth it;
13:21 yet hath he nothas no firm root in himself, but endurethis foronly atemporary, while; and when tribulationaffliction or persecution arisetharises because of the word, straightwayimmediately he stumblethfalls away.
13:22 And hethe thatone on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is hethe thatman hearethwho hears the word;, and the careworry of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and heit becomethbecomes unfruitful.
13:23 And hethe thatone on whom seed was sown uponon the good groundsoil, this is hethe thatman hearethwho hears the word, and understandethunderstands it; who verilyindeed bearethbears fruit, and bringethbrings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.
13:24 AnotherHe parablepresented setanother heparable beforeto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven ismay likenedbe untocompared to a man thatwho sowed good seed in his field:.
13:25 butBut while men sleptwere sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.
13:26 But when the bladewheat sprang up and broughtbore forth fruitgrain, then appeared the tares became evident also.
13:27 And the servantsslaves of the householderlandowner came and said untoto him, Sir, didstdid thouyou not sow good seed in thyyour field? whenceHow then hathdoes it have tares?
13:28 And he said untoto them, An enemy hathhas done this.! And the servantsslaves saysaid untoto him, WiltDo thouyou want us, then, thatto we go and gather them up?
13:29 But he saithsaid, NayNo; lest haply while yeyou gatherare gathering up the tares, yeyou may root up the wheat with them.
13:30 LetAllow both to grow together until the harvest:; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, GatherFirst gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.
13:31 AnotherHe parablepresented setanother heparable beforeto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:;
13:32 whichand indeedthis is lesssmaller than all other seeds; but when it is full grown, it is greaterlarger than the herbsgarden plants, and becomethbecomes a tree, so that the birds of the heavenair come and lodgenest in theits branches thereof.
13:33 AnotherHe parablespoke spakeanother heparable untoto them;, The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measurespecks of meal, tilluntil it was all leavened.
13:34 All these things spake Jesus inspoke parablesto unto the multitudes; in parables, and withoutHe adid parablenot spakespeak heto nothingthem untowithout them:a parable,
13:35 so that itwhat might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, I will open myMy mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden fromsince the foundation of the world.
13:36 Then heHe left the multitudes, and went into the house:. andAnd hisHis disciples came untoto himHim, saying, Explain untoto us the parable of the tares of the field.
13:37 And heHe answered and said, HeThe thatone sowethwho sows the good seed is the Son of man;Man,
13:38 and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one;
13:39 and the enemy thatwho sowed them is the devil:, and the harvest is the end of the worldage; and the reapers are angels.
13:40 AsTherefore thereforejust as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire;, so shall it be inat the end of the worldage.
13:41 The Son of manMan shallwill send forth hisHis angels, and they shallwill gather out of hisHis kingdom all thingsstumbling that cause stumblingblocks, and themthose thatwho docommit iniquitylawlessness,
13:42 and shallwill cast them into the furnace of fire:; in that place there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
13:43 Then shall the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He thatwho hathhas ears, let him hear.
13:44 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in the field;, which a man found, and hid; and infrom his joy over it he goethgoes and sellethsells all that he hathhas, and buyethbuys that field.
13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a merchant seeking goodlyfine pearls:,
13:46 and havingupon foundfinding one pearl of great pricevalue, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net,dragnet that was cast into the sea, and gatheredgathering fish of every kind:;
13:48 which,and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down, and gathered the good fish into vesselscontainers, but the bad they castthrew away.
13:49 So shall it will be inat the end of the world:age; the angels shall come forth, and severtake out the wicked from among the righteous,
13:50 and shallwill cast them into the furnace of fire:; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
13:51 Have yeyou understood all these things? They saysaid untoto himHim, YeaYes.
13:52 And heHe said untoto them, Therefore every scribe who hathhas beenbecome made a disciple toof the kingdom of heaven is like unto a manhead thatof is a householderhousehold, who bringethbrings forth out of his treasure things new and old.
13:53 And it came toabout pass,that when Jesus had finished these parables, heHe departed thencefrom there.
13:54 And coming intoto hisHis ownhome countrytown heHe taughtbegan teaching them in their synagogue, insomuchso that they werebecame astonished, and said, WhenceWhere hathdid this man get this wisdom, and these mightymiraculous workspowers?
13:55 Is not this the carpenters son? isIs not hisHis mother called Mary?, and hisHis brethrenbrothers, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
13:56 And hisHis sisters, are they not all with us? WhenceWhere then hathdid this man get all these things?
13:57 And they weretook offendedoffense inat himHim. But Jesus said untoto them, A prophet is not without honor, saveexcept in his ownhome countrytown, and in his own househousehold.
13:58 And heHe did not do many mightymiracles works there because of their unbelief.
14:1 At that seasontime Herod the tetrarch heard the reportnews concerningabout Jesus,
14:2 and said untoto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he ishas risen from the dead; and thereforethat dois thesewhy miraculous powers are at work in him.
14:3 For when Herod had laidJohn hold on Johnarrested, andhe bound him, and put him in prison foron theaccount sake of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philips wifePhilip.
14:4 For John saidhad untobeen saying to him, It is not lawful for theeyou to have her.
14:5 And whenalthough he wouldwanted haveto put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they countedregarded him as a prophet.
14:6 But when Herods birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced inbefore thethem midst, and pleased Herod.
14:7 WhereuponThereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoeverwhatever she should askasked.
14:8 And she,having beingbeen putprompted forward by her mother, saithshe said, Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.
14:9 And thealthough kinghe was grieved;, butthe forking thecommanded sakeit ofto hisbe oaths,given andbecause of themhis that sat at meat with himoaths, heand commandedbecause itof tohis bedinner given;guests.
14:10 andAnd he sent and beheadedhad John beheaded in the prison.
14:11 And his head was brought on a platter, and given to the damsel:girl; and she brought it to her mother.
14:12 And his disciples came, and took upaway the corpse,body and buried himit; and they went and toldreported to Jesus.
14:13 Now when Jesus heard it, heHe withdrew from thencethere in a boat, to a desertlonely place apart:by Himself; and when the multitudes heard thereofof this, they followed himHim on foot from the cities.
14:14 And hewhen cameHe forthwent ashore, andHe saw a great multitude, and hefelt had compassion onfor them, and healed their sick.
14:15 And when evenit was comeevening, the disciples came to himHim, saying, The place is desertdesolate, and the time is already past; so send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy food for themselves food.
14:16 But Jesus said untoto them, They havedo nonot need to go away; you give ye them something to eat.!
14:17 And they saysaid untoto himHim, We have here butonly five loaves, and two fishesfish.
14:18 And heHe said, Bring them hitherhere to meMe.
14:19 And heordering commanded the multitudes to sitrecline down on the grass;, andHe he took the five loaves, and the two fishesfish, and looking up totoward heaven, heHe blessed, andthe brakefood, and gavebreaking the loaves He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes.,
14:20 Andand they all ate, and were filled:satisfied. andAnd they tookpicked up thatwhat whichwas remainedleft over of the broken pieces, twelve full baskets full.
14:21 And theythere that did eat were about five thousand men who ate, besidesaside from women and children.
14:22 And straightwayimmediately heHe constrainedmade the disciples toget enter into the boat, and to go beforeahead himof untoHim to the other side, tillwhile heHe shouldsent send the multitudes away.
14:23 And after heHe had sent the multitudes away, heHe went up intoto the mountain apartby Himself to pray:; and when evenit was comeevening, heHe was there alone.
14:24 But the boat was nowalready inmany thestadia midstaway offrom the sealand, distressedbattered by the waves; for the wind was contrary.
14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night heHe came untoto them, walking uponon the sea.
14:26 And when the disciples saw himHim walking on the sea, they were troubledfrightened, saying, It is a ghost;! andAnd they cried out for fear.
14:27 But straightwayimmediately Jesus spakespoke untoto them, saying, BeTake ofcourage, good cheer; it is I; bedo not be afraid.
14:28 And Peter answered himHim and said, Lord, if it beis thouYou, bidcommand me to come untoto theeYou uponon the waterswater.
14:29 And heHe said, Come.! And Peter wentgot downout fromof the boat, and walked uponon the waterswater toand comecame totoward Jesus.
14:30 But whenseeing he saw the wind, he wasbecame afraid;, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.!
14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forthout hisHis hand, and took hold of him, and saithsaid untoto him, O thouyou of little faith, whereforewhy didstdid thouyou doubt?
14:32 And when they weregot gone up into the boat, the wind ceasedstopped.
14:33 And theythose thatwho were in the boat worshippedworshiped himHim, saying, OfYou aare truthcertainly thouGods art the Son of God.!
14:34 And when they had crossed over, they came to the land, untoat Gennesaret.
14:35 And when the men of that place knewrecognized himHim, they sent into all that regionsurrounding rounddistrict about, and brought untoto himHim all thatwho were sick;
14:36 and they besoughtbegan himto entreat Him that they might onlyjust touch the borderfringe of hisHis garment:cloak; and as many as touched it were made wholecured.
15:1 Then theresome comePharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem Pharisees and scribes, saying,
15:2 Why do thyYour disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? forFor they washdo not wash their hands when they eat bread.
15:3 And heHe answered and said untoto them, WhyAnd why do yeyou alsoyourselves transgress the commandment of God becausefor the sake of your tradition?
15:4 For God said, Honor thyyour father and thy mother:, and, He thatwho speakethspeaks evil of father or mother, let him diebe theput to death.
15:5 But yeyou say, WhosoeverWhoever shall say to his father or his mother, ThatAnything wherewithof thoumine mightestyou might have been profitedhelped by mehas isbeen given to God;,
15:6 he shallis not to honor his father or his mother. And yethus haveyou madeinvalidated void the word of God becausefor the sake of your tradition.
15:7 YeYou hypocrites, wellrightly did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
15:8 This people honorethhonors meMe with their lips;, But their heart is far away from meMe.
15:9 But in vain do they worship meMe, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.
15:10 And heafter He called tothe himmultitude theto multitudeHim, andHe said untoto them, Hear, and understand:.
15:11 Not thatwhat whichenters entereth into the mouth defilethdefiles the man;, but thatwhat whichproceeds proceedeth out of the mouth, this defilethdefiles the man.
15:12 Then came the disciples, came and said untoto himHim, KnowestDo thouYou know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this sayingstatement?
15:13 But heHe answered and said, Every plant which myMy heavenly Father planteddid not, plant shall be rooted up.
15:14 Let them alone:; they are blind guides of the blind. And if thea blind guideman theguides a blind man, both shallwill fall into a pit.
15:15 And Peter answered and said untoto himHim, DeclareExplain untothe usparable theto parableus.
15:16 And heHe said, Are yeyou alsostill evenlacking yetin withoutunderstanding understandingalso?
15:17 PerceiveDo yeyou not, understand that whatsoevereverything goeththat goes into the mouth passethpasses into the bellystomach, and is cast out into the draughteliminated?
15:18 But the things whichthat proceed out of the mouth come forthfrom out of the heart;, and theythose defile the man.
15:19 For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:slanders.
15:20 theseThese are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashenunwashed hands defilethdoes not defile the man.
15:21 And Jesus went outaway thencefrom there, and withdrew into the partsdistrict of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22 And behold, a CanaanitishCanaanite woman came out from thosethat bordersregion, and criedbegan to cry out, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thouSon son of David; my daughter is grievouslycruelly vexeddemon with a demonpossessed.
15:23 But heHe answereddid not answer her not a word. And hisHis disciples came to Him and besoughtkept himasking Him, saying, Send her away;, for she criethis shouting out after us.
15:24 But heHe answered and said, I was not sent butonly untoto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
15:25 But she came and worshippedbegan himto bow down before Him, saying, Lord, help me.!
15:26 And heHe answered and said, It is not meetgood to take the childrens bread and castthrow it to the dogs.
15:27 But she said, YeaYes, Lord:; forbut even the dogs eatfeed ofon the crumbs which fall from their masters table.
15:28 Then Jesus answered and said untoto her, O woman, greatyour faith is thygreat; faith: be it done untofor theeyou even as thouyou wiltwish. And her daughter was healed fromat that houronce.
15:29 And Jesusdeparting departedfrom thencethere, andJesus camewent nighalong untoby the seaSea of Galilee;, and hehaving wentgone up intoto the mountain, andHe satwas sitting there.
15:30 And theregreat multitudes came untoto him great multitudesHim, havingbringing with them thethose who were lame, crippled, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and they castlaid them down at hisHis feet; and heHe healed them:,
15:31 insomuchso that the multitude wondered,marveled whenas they saw the dumb speaking, the maimedcrippled wholerestored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing:; and they glorified the God of Israel.
15:32 And Jesus called untoHis himdisciples histo disciplesHim, and said, I havefeel compassion onfor the multitude, because they continuehave remained with meMe now three days and have nothing to eat:; and I woulddo not wish to send them away fastinghungry, lest haply they faint on the way.
15:33 And the disciples saysaid untoto himHim, WhenceWhere shouldwould we haveget so many loaves in a desertdesolate place as to fillsatisfy sosuch a great a multitude?
15:34 And Jesus said untoto them, How many loaves do you have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few small fishesfish.
15:35 And heHe commandeddirected the multitude to sit down on the ground;
15:36 and heHe took the seven loaves and the fishesfish; and hegiving gave thanks, andHe brake,broke them and gavestarted giving them to the disciples, and the disciples in turn, to the multitudes.
15:37 And they all ate, and were filled:satisfied, and they tookpicked up thatwhat whichwas remainedleft over of the broken pieces, seven large baskets full.
15:38 And theythose thatwho didate eat were four thousand men, besides women and children.
15:39 And hesending sent away the multitudes, andHe enteredgot into the boat, and came intoto the bordersregion of Magadan.
16:1 And the Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and tryingtesting himHim asked himHim to show them a sign from heaven.
16:2 But heHe answered and said untoto them, When it is evening, yeyou say, It will be fair weather:, for the heavensky is red.
16:3 And in the morning, ItThere will be foula weatherstorm totoday, day: for the heavensky is red and loweringthreatening. YeDo you know how to discern the faceappearance of the heaven;sky, but ye cannot discern the signs of the times.?
16:4 An evil and adulterous generation seekethseeks after a sign; and therea shallsign nowill signnot be given unto it, butexcept the sign of Jonah. And heHe left them, and departedwent away.
16:5 And the disciples came to the other side and forgothad forgotten to take bread.
16:6 And Jesus said untoto them, TakeWatch heedout and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
16:7 And they reasonedbegan to discuss among themselves, saying, WeIt is because we took no bread.
16:8 AndBut Jesus, perceivingaware itof this, said, OYou yemen of little faith, why reasondo yeyou discuss among yourselves, becausethat yeyou have no bread?
16:9 Do yeyou not yet perceive,understand neitheror remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets yeyou took up?
16:10 NeitherOr the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets yeyou took up?
16:11 How is it that yeyou do not perceiveunderstand that I spakedid not speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
16:12 Then they understood they that heHe badedid them not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
16:13 Now when Jesus came into the partsdistrict of Caesarea Philippi, heHe askedbegan hisasking His disciples, saying, Who do menpeople say that the Son of manMan is?
16:14 And they said, Some say John the Baptist; someand others, Elijah; andbut still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
16:15 He saithsaid untoto them, But who do you say ye that I am?
16:17 And Jesus answered and said untoto him, Blessed artare thouyou, Simon BarBarjona, Jonah:because for flesh and blood hathdid not revealedreveal itthis untoto theeyou, but myMy Father who is in heaven.
16:18 And I also say untoto thee,you that thouyou artare Peter, and upon this rock I will build myMy church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevailoverpower against it.
16:19 I will give untoyou thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:; and whatsoeverwhatever thouyou shaltshall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;, and whatsoeverwhatever thouyou shaltshall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
16:20 Then chargedHe hewarned the disciples that they should tell no manone that heHe was the Christ.
16:21 From that time Jesus Christ began Jesus to show untoHis his disciples, that heHe must go untoto Jerusalem, and suffer many things offrom the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day be raised up.
16:22 And Peter took him,Him aside and began to rebuke himHim, saying, BeGod forbid it far from thee, Lord:! thisThis shall never behappen untoto theeYou.
16:23 But heHe turned, and said untoto Peter, Get thee behind meMe, Satan:! thouYou artare a stumbling block untoto me:Me; for thouyou mindestare not thesetting thingsyour ofmind Godon Gods interests, but the things of menmans.
16:24 Then Jesus said Jesusto untoHis his disciples, If anyanyone manwishes wouldto come after meMe, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow meMe.
16:25 For whosoeverwhoever wouldwishes to save his life shall lose it:; andbut whosoeverwhoever shallloses lose his life for myMy sake shall find it.
16:26 For what shallwill a man be profited, if he shallgains gain the whole world, and forfeitforfeits his lifesoul? orOr what shallwill a man give in exchange for his lifesoul?
16:27 For the Son of manMan shallis going to come in the glory of hisHis Father with hisHis angels; and will then shallrecompense he render unto every man according to his deeds.
16:28 VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Therethere are some of themthose thatwho standare standing here, who shall innot no wise taste of death, tilluntil they see the Son of manMan coming in hisHis kingdom.
17:1 And after six days later Jesus takethtook with himHim Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringethbrought them up intoto a high mountain apart:by themselves.
17:2 andAnd heHe was transfigured before them; and hisHis face didshone shinelike as the sun, and hisHis garments became as white as the light.
17:3 And behold, thereMoses and Elijah appeared untoto them, Moses and Elijah talking with himHim.
17:4 And Peter answered, and said untoto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here:; if thouYou wiltwish, I will make here three tabernacles; here, one for theeYou, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
17:5 While he was yetstill speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them:; and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is myMy beloved Son, inwith whom I am well pleased; hearlisten yeto him.Him!
17:6 And when the disciples heard itthis, they fell on their face,faces and were soremuch afraid.
17:7 And Jesus came to them and touched them and said, Arise, and bedo not be afraid.
17:8 And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, saveexcept Jesus onlyHimself alone.
17:9 And as they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, Tell the vision to no man,one until the Son of manMan behas risen from the dead.
17:10 And hisHis disciples asked himHim, saying, Why then saydo the scribes say that Elijah must come first come?
17:11 And heHe answered and said, Elijah indeedis cometh,coming and shallwill restore all things:;
17:12 but I say untoto you, that Elijah isalready come alreadycame, and they knewdid not recognize him not, but did untoto him whatsoeverwhatever they wouldwished. EvenSo soalso shall the Son of manMan alsois going to suffer ofat themtheir hands.
17:13 Then understood the disciples understood that heHe spakehad untospoken to them ofabout John the Baptist.
17:14 And when they werecame come to the multitude, therea man came up to himHim, afalling man,on kneelinghis toknees himbefore Him, and saying,
17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son:, for he is epileptica lunatic, and sufferethis grievouslyvery ill; for ofthe timesoften hefalls falleth into the fire, and oftoften times into the water.
17:16 And I brought him to thyYour disciples, and they could not cure him.
17:17 And Jesus answered and said, O faithlessunbelieving and perverseperverted generation, how long shall I be with you? howHow long shall I bearput up with you? bringBring him hitherhere to meMe.
17:18 And Jesus rebuked him;, and the demon wentcame out of him:, and the boy was cured fromat that houronce.
17:19 Then came the disciples came to Jesus apart,privately and said, Why could we not we cast it out?
17:20 And heHe saithsaid untoto them, Because of the littleness of your little faith:; for verilytruly I say untoto you, Ifif yeyou have faith as a grain of mustard seed, yeyou shall say untoto this mountain, RemoveMove hencefrom here to yonderthere, place; and it shall removemove; and nothing shall be impossible untoto you.
17:22 And while they abodewere gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said untoto them, The Son of manMan shallis going to be delivered up into the hands of men;
17:23 and they shallwill kill himHim, and theHe thirdwill daybe heraised shallon bethe raisedthird upday. And they were exceedingdeeply sorrygrieved.
17:24 And when they werehad come to Capernaum, theythose thatwho receivedcollected the halftwo shekeldrachma tax came to Peter, and said, DothDoes not your teacher not pay the halftwo shekeldrachma tax?
17:25 He saithsaid, YeaYes. And when he came into the house, Jesus spakespoke first to him first, saying, What thinkestdo thouyou think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth, fromcollect whomcustoms door theypoll receivetax, toll or tribute? from their sons, or from strangers?
17:26 And whenupon hehis saidsaying, From strangers, Jesus said untoto him, ThereforeConsequently the sons are freeexempt.
17:27 But, lest we causegive them to stumbleoffense, go thou to the sea, and castthrow in a hook, and take up the first fish that firstcomes cometh up; and when thouyou hastopen openedits his mouth, thouyou shaltwill find a shekel:stater. Take that take, and give untoit to them for meyou and theeMe.
18:1 InAt that hourtime came the disciples untocame to Jesus, saying, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
18:2 And heHe called toa himchild ato littleHimself child, and set him inbefore the midst of them,
18:3 and said, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Exceptunless yeyou turn,are converted and become aslike little children, yeyou shall innot no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
18:4 WhosoeverWhoever thereforethen shallhumbles humble himself as this little child, thehe same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
18:5 And whosowhoever shallreceives receive one such little child in myMy name receivethreceives me:Me;
18:6 but whosowhoever shallcauses cause one of these little ones thatwho believe onin meMe to stumble, it is profitablebetter for him that a greatheavy millstone should be hangedhung aboutaround his neck, and that he should be sunkdrowned in the depth of the sea.
18:7 Woe untoto the world because of occasionsits ofstumbling stumblingblocks! forFor it mustis needsinevitable be that thestumbling occasionsblocks come; but woe to that man through whom the occasionstumbling comethblock comes!
18:8 And if thyyour hand or thyyour foot causethcauses theeyou to stumble, cut it off, and castthrow it from thee:you; it is goodbetter for theeyou to enter into life maimedcrippled or haltlame, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the eternal fire.
18:9 And if thineyour eye causethcauses theeyou to stumble, pluck it out, and castthrow it from thee:you. itIt is goodbetter for theeyou to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into the fiery hell of fire.
18:10 See that yeyou despisedo not despise one of these little ones:, for I say untoto you, that in heaven their angels doin alwaysheaven continually behold the face of myMy Father who is in heaven.
18:12 HowWhat do you think ye? ifIf any man havehas a hundred sheep, and one of them behas gone astray, dothdoes he not leave the ninety and nine, on the mountains and go untoand thesearch mountains,for andthe seekone that whichis goeth astraystraying?
18:13 And if soit beturns out that he findfinds it, verilytruly I say untoto you, he rejoicethrejoices over it more than over the ninety and nine which have not gone astray.
18:14 EvenThus so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
18:15 And if thyyour brother sin against theesins, go, showand reprove him hisin faultprivate; between thee and him alone: if he hearlistens theeto you, thouyou hasthave gainedwon thyyour brother.
18:16 But if he heardoes theenot notlisten to you, take with thee one or two more with you, so that atby the mouth of two witnesses or three witnesses every wordfact may be establishedconfirmed.
18:17 And if he refuserefuses to hearlisten to them, tell it untoto the church:; and if he refuserefuses to hearlisten even to the church also, let him be untoto theeyou as thea Gentile and thea publicantax gatherer.
18:18 VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Whatwhatever thingsyou soever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatwhatever thingsyou soever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
18:19 Again I say untoto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth asabout touching anything that they shallmay ask, it shall be done for them ofby myMy Father who is in heaven.
18:20 For where two or three arehave gathered together in myMy name, there I am I in thetheir midst of them.
18:21 Then Peter came Peter and said to himHim, Lord, how oftoften shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? untilUp to seven times?
18:22 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, I saydo not untosay theeto you, Untilup to seven times;, but, Untilup to seventy times seven.
18:23 ThereforeFor isthis reason the kingdom of heaven likenedmay untobe compared to a certain king, who wouldwished maketo asettle reckoningaccounts with his servantsslaves.
18:24 And when he had begun to reckonsettle them, onethere was brought untoto him, thatone who owed him ten thousand This talent was probably worth about £200, or $1000.talents.
18:25 But forasmuchsince as he haddid not wherewithhave the means to payrepay, his Lord commanded him to be sold, andalong with his wife, and children, and all that he had, and paymentrepayment to be made.
18:26 The servantslave therefore fellfalling down, andprostrated worshippedhimself before him, saying, Lord,Have have patience with me, and I will payrepay theeyou alleverything.
18:27 And the Lord of that servant,slave beingfelt movedcompassion withand compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
18:28 But that servantslave went out, and found one of his fellow servants,slaves who owed him a hundred shillings:denarii; and he laidseized hold on him, and tookbegan himto bychoke the throathim, saying, Pay back what thouyou owestowe.
18:29 So his fellow servantslave fell down and besoughtbegan to entreat him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will payrepay theeyou.
18:30 AndHe hewas wouldunwilling not:however, but went and castthrew him intoin prison, tilluntil he should pay thatback whichwhat was dueowed.
18:31 So when his fellow servantsslaves saw what washad donehappened, they were exceedingdeeply sorry,grieved and came and toldreported untoto their Lord all that washad donehappened.
18:32 Then hissummoning Lord called him, untohis him,Lord andsaid saith to him, ThouYou wicked servantslave, I forgave theeyou all that debt, because thouyou besoughtestentreated me:.
18:33 shouldestShould you not thou also have had mercy on thyyour fellow servantslave, even as I had mercy on theeyou?
18:34 And his Lord, wasmoved wrothwith anger, andhanded delivered him over to the tormentors,torturers tilluntil he should payrepay all that was dueowed him.
18:35 So shall alsoMy my heavenly Father also do untoto you, if yeeach forgiveof you does not everyforgive one his brother from your heartsheart.
19:1 And it came toabout passthat when Jesus had finished these words, heHe departed from Galilee, and came into the bordersregion of JudaeaJudea beyond the Jordan;
19:2 and great multitudes followed him;Him, and heHe healed them there.
19:3 And theresome Pharisees came untoto him PhariseesHim, tryingtesting himHim, and saying, Is it lawful for a man to putdivorce away his wife for everyany cause at all?
19:4 And heHe answered and said, Have yeyou not read, that heHe who madecreated them from the beginning made them male and female,
19:5 and said, For this cause shall a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh ?
19:6 SoConsequently that they are no morelonger two, but one flesh. What therefore God hathhas joined together, let notno man put asunderseparate.
19:7 They saysaid untoto himHim, Why then did Moses command to give her a billcertificate of divorcement,divorce and tosend put her away?
19:8 He saithsaid untoto them, MosesBecause forof your hardness of heart, sufferedMoses permitted you to putdivorce away your wives:; but from the beginning it hathhas not been sothis way.
19:9 And I say untoto you, Whosoeverwhoever shalldivorces put away his wife, except for fornicationimmorality, and shallmarries marry another, committethwoman adultery:commits and he that marrieth her when she is put away committeth adultery.
19:10 The disciples saysaid untoto himHim, If the caserelationship of the man is so with his wife is like this, it is better not expedient to marry.
19:11 But heHe said untoto them, Not all men can receiveaccept this sayingstatement, but theyonly those to whom it ishas been given.
19:12 For there are eunuchs, thatwho were so born that way from their mothers womb:; and there are eunuchs, thatwho were made eunuchs by men:; and there are also eunuchs, thatwho made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heavens sakeheaven. He thatwho is able to receiveaccept itthis, let him receiveaccept it.
19:13 Then some children were there brought untoto himHim littleso children, that heHe shouldmight lay hisHis hands on them, and pray:; and the disciples rebuked them.
19:14 But Jesus said, SufferLet the littlechildren childrenalone, and forbiddo them not, tohinder comethem untofrom me:coming for to suchMe; belongethfor the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
19:15 And heafter laidlaying hisHis hands on them, andHe departed thencefrom there.
19:16 And behold, one came to himHim and said, Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may haveobtain eternal life?
19:17 And heHe said untoto him, Why askestare thouyou measking concerningMe thatabout whichwhat is good? OneThere there is only One who is good:; but if thouyou wouldestwish to enter into life, keep the commandments.
19:18 He saithsaid untoto himHim, Which ones? And Jesus said, ThouYou shaltshall not kill,commit Thoumurder; shaltYou shall not commit adultery,; ThouYou shaltshall not steal,; ThouYou shaltshall not bear false witness,;
19:19 Honor thyyour father and thy mother; and, ThouYou shaltshall love thyyour neighbor as thyselfyourself.
19:20 The young man saithsaid untoto himHim, All these things I have Ikept; observed: what lackam I yetstill lacking?
19:21 Jesus said untoto him, If thouyou wouldestwish to be perfectcomplete, go, and sell thatyour whichpossessions thou hast, and give to the poor, and thouyou shaltshall have treasure in heaven:; and come, follow meMe.
19:22 But when the young man heard thethis sayingstatement, he went away sorrowfulgrieved; for he was one thatwho hadowned greatmuch possessionsproperty.
19:23 And Jesus said untoto hisHis disciples, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Itit is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.
19:24 And again I say untoto you, Itit is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needles eyeneedle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
19:25 And when the disciples heard itthis, they were very astonished exceedingly,and sayingsaid, WhoThen thenwho can be saved?
19:26 And Jesus looking upon them Jesus said to them, With men this is impossible;, but with God all things are possible.
19:27 Then Peter answered Peter and said untoto himHim, LoBehold, we have left all,everything and followed theeYou; what then shallwill wethere havebe for us?
19:28 And Jesus said untoto them, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, that yeyou who have followed meMe, in the regeneration when the Son of manMan shallwill sit on theHis glorious throne of his glory, yeyou also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
19:29 And everyeveryone onewho thathas hath left houses, or brethren,brothers or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands,farms for myMy names sake, shall receive amany hundredfoldtimes as much, and shall inherit eternal life.
19:30 But many shallwho beare lastfirst thatwill arebe firstlast; and firstthe thatlast, are lastfirst.
20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a manlandowner that was a householder, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers intofor his vineyard.
20:2 And when he had agreed with the laborers for a shillingdenarius afor the day, he sent them into his vineyard.
20:3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplacemarket idleplace;
20:4 and to themthose he said, GoYou yetoo alsogo into the vineyard, and whatsoeverwhatever is right I will give you. And so they went their way.
20:5 Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewisethe same thing.
20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing; and he saithsaid untoto them, Why standhave yeyou been standing here idle all the day idlelong?
20:7 They saysaid untoto him, Because no manone hath hired us. He saithsaid untoto them, GoYou yetoo alsogo into the vineyard.
20:8 And when evenevening washad come, the Lordowner of the vineyard saithsaid untoto his stewardforeman, Call the laborers, and pay them their hirewages, beginning fromwith the last untogroup to the first.
20:9 And when theythose came that were hired about the eleventh hour came, theyeach one received every man a shillingdenarius.
20:10 And when thethose hired first came, they supposedthought that they would receive more; and they likewisealso received everyeach manone a shillingdenarius.
20:11 And when they received it, they murmuredgrumbled againstat the householderlandowner,
20:12 saying, These last men have spentworked butonly one hour, and thouyou hasthave made them equal untoto us, who have borne the burden ofand the dayscorching andheat of the scorching heatday.
20:13 But he answered and said to one of them, Friend, I doam theedoing you no wrong:; didstdid you not thou agree with me for a shillingdenarius?
20:14 Take upwhat that which is thine,yours and go thyyour way;, itbut isI mywish will to give untoto this last, evenman the same as untoto theeyou.
20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I willwish with minewhat is my own? orOr is thineyour eye evil,envious because I am goodgenerous?
20:16 SoThus the last shall be first, and the first last.
20:17 And as Jesus was goingabout to go up to Jerusalem, heHe took the twelve disciples apartaside by themselves, and on the way heHe said untoto them,
20:18 Behold, we goare going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of manMan shallwill be delivered untoto the chief priests and scribes;, and they shallwill condemn himHim to death,
20:19 and shallwill deliver himHim untoto the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify: Him, and on the third day heHe shallwill be raised up.
20:20 Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to Him with her sons, worshippingbowing himdown, and askingmaking a certainrequest thing of himHim.
20:21 And heHe said untoto her, What wouldestdo thouyou wish? She saithsaid untoto himHim, Command that in Your kingdom these my two sons of mine may sit, one on thyYour right hand, and one on thyYour left hand, in thy kingdom.
20:22 But Jesus answered and said, YeYou knowdo not know what yeyou askare asking for. Are yeyou able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? They saysaid untoto himHim, We are able.
20:23 He saithsaid untoto them, My cup indeedyou ye shall drink:; but to sit on myMy right hand, and on myMy left hand, this is not mineMine to give;, but it is for themthose for whom it hathhas been prepared ofby myMy Father.
20:24 And whenhearing this, the ten heardbecame it,indignant they were moved with indignation concerning the two brethrenbrothers.
20:25 But Jesus called them untoto himHimself, and said, YeYou know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them, and their great onesmen exercise authority over them.
20:26 NotIt sois shallnot itso be among you:, but whosoeverwhoever wouldwishes to become great among you shall be your minister;servant,
20:27 and whosoeverwhoever wouldwishes to be first among you shall be your servant:slave;
20:28 evenjust as the Son of manMan camedid not come to be ministered untoserved, but to ministerserve, and to give hisHis life a ransom for many.
20:29 And as they wentwere going out from Jericho, a great multitude followed himHim.
20:30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the way sideroad, whenhearing they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thouSon son of David.!
20:31 And the multitude rebukedsternly told them, thatto theybe shouldquiet; hold their peace: but they cried out all the more, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thouSon son of David.!
20:32 And Jesus stoodstopped still, and called them, and said, What willdo yeyou thatwant IMe shouldto do untofor you?
20:33 They saysaid untoto himHim, Lord, thatwe want our eyes mayto be opened.
20:34 And Jesus, being moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and straightwayimmediately they receivedregained their sight, and followed himHim.
21:1 And when they drewhad nighapproached unto Jerusalem, and camehad untocome to Bethphage, untoto the mountMount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
21:2 saying untoto them, Go into the village thatopposite is over against you, and straightwayimmediately yeyou shallwill find ana assdonkey tied, there and a colt with her:; looseuntie them, and bring them untoto meMe.
21:3 And if anyanyone onesays saysomething aughtto unto you, yeyou shall say, The Lord hathhas need of them;, and straightwayimmediately he will send them.
21:4 Now this istook comeplace to pass, that itwhat might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
21:5 TellSay yeto the daughter of Zion, Behold, thyyour King comethis untocoming theeto you, MeekGentle, and ridingmounted uponon ana assdonkey, AndEven uponon a colt, the foal of ana assbeast of burden.
21:6 And the disciples went, and did evenjust as Jesus appointedhad directed them,
21:7 and brought the ass,donkey and the colt, and putlaid on them their garments;, andon hewhich He sat thereon.
21:8 And the most part of the multitude spread their garments in the way;road, and others cutwere cutting branches from the trees, and spreadspreading them in the wayroad.
21:9 And the multitudes thatgoing went before himHim, and thatthose who followed, criedafter were crying out, saying, Hosanna to the sonSon of David:; Blessed is heHe thatwho comethcomes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.!
21:10 And when heHe washad comeentered into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, Who is this?
21:11 And the multitudes saidwere saying, This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth ofin Galilee.
21:12 And Jesus entered into the temple of God, and cast out all themthose thatwho soldwere buying and boughtselling in the temple, and overthrewoverturned the tables of the moneymoneychangers changers, and the seats of themthose thatwho soldwere theselling doves;.
21:13 andAnd heHe saithsaid untoto them, It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer:; but yeyou makeare making it a robbers den of robbers.
21:14 And the blind and the lame came to himHim in the temple;, and heHe healed them.
21:15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that heHe didhad done, and the children thatwho were crying out in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the sonSon of David;, they werebecame moved with indignationindignant,
21:16 and said untoto himHim, HearestDo thouYou hear what these are saying? And Jesus saithsaid untoto them, Yea:Yes; didhave yeyou never read, Out of the mouth of babesinfants and sucklingsnursing thoubabes Thou hast perfectedprepared praise for Thyself?
21:17 And heHe left them, and went forth out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.
21:18 Now in the morning, aswhen heHe returned to the city, heHe hungeredbecame hungry.
21:19 And seeing a lone fig tree by the way sideroad, heHe came to it, and found nothing thereon,on butit except leaves only; and heHe saithsaid untoto it, LetNo longer shall there ever be noany fruit from thee henceforward for everyou. And immediatelyat once the fig tree withered away.
21:20 And whenseeing this, the disciples saw itmarveled, they marvelled, saying, How did the fig tree immediately wither awayat once?
21:21 And Jesus answered and said untoto them, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Ifif yeyou have faith, and doubtdo not doubt, yeyou shall not only do what iswas done to the fig tree, but even if yeyou shall say untoto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea, it shall be donehappen.
21:22 And all things, whatsoeveryou ye shall ask in prayer, believing, yeyou shall receive.
21:23 And when heHe washad come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came untoto himHim as heHe was teaching, and said, By what authority doestare thouYou doing these things?, and who gave theeYou this authority?
21:24 And Jesus answered and said untoto them, I also will ask you one questionthing too, which if yeyou tell meMe, I likewise will also tell you by what authority I do these things.
21:25 The baptism of John, whence was it?from what source, from heaven or from men? And they reasonedbegan withreasoning among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven;, heHe will say untoto us, WhyThen thenwhy did yeyou not believe him?
21:26 But if we shall say, From men;, we fear the multitude; for they all hold John asto be a prophet.
21:27 And theyanswering answered Jesus, andthey said, We knowdo not know. He also said untoto them, Neither tellwill I tell you by what authority I do these things.
21:28 But what do you think ye? A man had two sons;, and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work totoday day in the vineyard.
21:29 And he answered and said, I will, not:sir; butand afterward he repenteddid himself,not and wentgo.
21:30 And he came to the second, and said likewisethe same thing. AndBut he answered and said, I go,will sir:not; yet he afterward regretted it and went not.
21:31 Which of the two did the will of his father? They saysaid, The firstlatter. Jesus saithsaid untoto them, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, that the publicanstax gatherers and the harlots gowill get into the kingdom of God before you.
21:32 For John came untoto you in the way of righteousness, and yeyou believeddid not believe him not; but the publicanstax gatherers and the harlots believeddid believe him:; and yeyou, whenseeing ye saw itthis, did not even repentfeel yourselvesremorse afterward, thatso yeas mightto believe him.
21:33 HearListen to another parable:. There was a manlandowner that was a householder, who planted a vineyard, and setput a hedgewall aboutaround it, and diggeddug a winepresswine press in it, and built a tower, and letrented it out to husbandmenvine growers, and went intoon anothera countryjourney.
21:34 And when the seasonharvest oftime the fruits drew nearapproached, he sent his servantsslaves to the husbandmen,vine growers to receive his fruitsproduce.
21:35 And the husbandmenvine growers took his servants,slaves and beat one, and killed another, and stoned anothera third.
21:36 Again, he sent otheranother servantsgroup moreof slaves larger than the first:; and they did untothe themsame inthing liketo mannerthem.
21:37 But afterward he sent untohis themson histo sonthem, saying, They will reverencerespect my son.
21:38 But when the husbandmen,vine whengrowers they saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and takeseize his inheritance.
21:39 And they took him, and castthrew him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him.
21:40 WhenTherefore thereforewhen the Lordowner of the vineyard shall comecomes, what will he do untoto those husbandmenvine growers?
21:41 They saysaid untoto himHim, He will miserablybring destroy those miserablewretches mento a wretched end, and will letrent out the vineyard untoto other husbandmenvine growers, who shallwill renderpay him the fruitsproceeds inat theirthe proper seasons.
21:42 Jesus saithsaid untoto them, Did yeyou never read in the scripturesScriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, TheThis samebecame was made the headchief ofcorner the cornerstone; This wascame about from the Lord, And it is marvellousmarvelous in our eyes ?
21:43 Therefore I say Ito unto you, Thethe kingdom of God shallwill be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringingproducing forth the fruitsfruit thereofof it.
21:44 And he thatwho fallethfalls on this stone shallwill be broken to pieces:; but on whomsoeverwhomever it shall fallfalls, it will scatter him aslike dust.
21:45 And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard hisHis parables, they perceivedunderstood that heHe spakewas ofspeaking about them.
21:46 And when they sought to layseize hold on himHim, they feared the multitudes, because they tookheld himHim forto be a prophet.
22:1 And Jesus answered and spakespoke to them again in parables unto them, saying,
22:2 The kingdom of heaven ismay likenedbe untocompared to a certain king, who madegave a marriagewedding feast for his son,.
22:3 andAnd he sent forthout his servantsslaves to call themthose thatwho werehad biddenbeen invited to the marriagewedding feast:, and they wouldwere notunwilling to come.
22:4 Again he sent forthout other servants,slaves saying, Tell themthose thatwho arehave biddenbeen invited, Behold, I have madeprepared ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlingsfattened livestock are killed,all butchered and alleverything thingsis are ready:; come to the marriagewedding feast.
22:5 But they madepaid lightno ofattention it, and went their waysway, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise;business,
22:6 and the rest laidseized hold on his servants,slaves and treatedmistreated them shamefully, and killed them.
22:7 But the king was wroth;enraged and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burnedset their city on fire.
22:8 Then saith he said to his servantsslaves, The wedding is ready, but theythose thatwho were biddeninvited were not worthy.
22:9 Go ye therefore untoto the partingsmain of the highways, and as many as yeyou shallfind findthere, bidinvite to the marriagewedding feast.
22:10 And those servantsslaves went out into the highwaysstreets, and gathered together all as many as they found, both badevil and good:; and the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests.
22:11 But when the king came in to beholdlook over the dinner guests, he saw there a man who had not ondressed ain wedding garment:clothes,
22:12 and he saithsaid untoto him, Friend, how camestdid thouyou come in hitherhere notwithout having a wedding garmentclothes? And he was speechless.
22:13 Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; in that place there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
22:15 Then went the Pharisees, went and tookcounseled counseltogether how they might ensnaretrap himHim in hiswhat talkHe said.
22:16 And they sendsent totheir himdisciples theirto disciplesHim, along with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thouYou artare true,truthful and teachestteach the way of God in truth, and carestdefer notto forno any one:; for thouYou regardestare not thepartial personto of menany.
22:17 Tell us therefore, Whatwhat thinkestdo thouYou think? Is it lawful to give tributea untopoll tax to Caesar, or not?
22:18 But Jesus perceived their wickednessmalice, and said, Why makeare yeyou trialtesting of meMe, yeyou hypocrites?
22:19 Show meMe the tributecoin moneyused for the poll tax. And they brought untoHim him a denarius.
22:20 And heHe saithsaid untoto them, Whose islikeness thisand imageinscription andis superscriptionthis?
22:21 They saysaid untoto himHim, Caesars. Then saithHe hesaid untoto them, RenderThen thereforerender untoto Caesar the things that are Caesars; and untoto God the things that are Gods.
22:22 And whenhearing they heard itthis, they marvelledmarveled, and leftleaving himHim, andthey went away.
22:23 On that day theresome came to him Sadducees, theywho that say that there is no resurrection: came to Him and theyquestioned asked himHim,
22:24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If a man diedies, having no children, his brother as next of kin shall marry his wife, and raise up seedan untooffspring to his brother.
22:25 Now there were seven brothers with us; seven brethren: and the first married and deceaseddied, and having no seedoffspring left his wife untoto his brother;
22:26 inso likealso manner the second also, and the third, untodown to the seventh.
22:27 And afterlast themof all, the woman died.
22:28 In the resurrection therefore whose wife of the seven shall she be of the seven? forFor they all had her.
22:29 But Jesus answered and said untoto them, YeYou doare errmistaken, not knowingunderstanding the scripturesScriptures, noror the power of God.
22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are aslike angels in heaven.
22:31 But asregarding touching the resurrection of the dead, have yeyou not read that which was spoken untoto you by God, saying,
22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob ? GodHe is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
22:33 And when the multitudes heard itthis, they were astonished at hisHis teaching.
22:34 But when the Pharisees, when they heard that heHe had put the Sadducees to silence, they gathered themselves together.
22:35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked himHim a question, tryingtesting him:Him,
22:36 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the lawLaw?
22:37 And heHe said untoto him, ThouYou shaltshall love the Lord thyyour God with all thyyour heart, and with all thyyour soul, and with all thyyour mind.
22:38 This is the great and firstforemost commandment.
22:39 AndThe a second is like unto it is this, ThouYou shaltshall love thyyour neighbor as thyselfyourself.
22:40 On these two commandments depend the whole lawLaw hangeth, and the prophetsProphets.
22:42 saying, What do you think yeabout of the Christ?, whose son is heHe? They saysaid untoto himHim, The son of David.
22:43 He saithsaid untoto them, HowThen thenhow dothdoes David in the Spirit call himHim Lord, saying,
22:44 The Lord said untoto my Lord, Sit thouat onMy my right hand, TillUntil I put thineThine enemies underneathbeneath thyThy feet ?
22:45 If David then callethcalls himHim Lord, how is heHe his son?
22:46 And no one was able to answer himHim a word, neithernor durstdid anyanyone mandare from that day forthon to ask himHim anyanother more questionsquestion.
23:1 Then spake Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to hisHis disciples,
23:2 saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sithave onseated themselves in the chair of Moses seat:;
23:3 therefore all thingsthat therefore whatsoever they bidtell you, these do and observe:, but do not yedo afteraccording to their worksdeeds; for they say things, and do not do them.
23:4 Yea,And they bindtie up heavy burdens and grievous to be borneloads, and lay them on mens shoulders; but they themselves willare notunwilling to move them with theirso much as a finger.
23:5 But they do all their worksdeeds they do to be seennoticed ofby men:; for they makebroaden broad their phylacteries, and enlargelengthen the borderstassels of their garments,.
23:6 andAnd they love the chief place of honor at feastsbanquets, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
23:7 and therespectful salutationsgreetings in the marketplacesmarket places, and tobeing be called ofby men, Rabbi.
23:8 But bedo not yebe called Rabbi:; for oneOne is your teacherTeacher, and allyou ye are brethrenall brothers.
23:9 And do not call noanyone manon earth your father; on the earth: for oneOne is your Father, evenHe he who is in heaven.
23:10 NeitherAnd do not be ye called masters:leaders; for oneOne is your masterLeader, eventhat theis, Christ.
23:11 But hethe that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
23:12 And whosoeverwhoever shallexalts exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoeverwhoever shallhumbles humble himself shall be exalted.
23:13 But woe untoto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!, because yeyou shut off the kingdom of heaven againstfrom men:; for yeyou enterdo not enter in yourselves, neithernor sufferdo yeyou themallow thatthose who are entering in to entergo in.
23:15 Woe untoto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!, forbecause yeyou compasstravel about on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he isbecomes become soone, yeyou make him twofoldtwice moreas much a son of hell thanas yourselves.
23:16 Woe untoto you, ye blind guides, thatwho say, WhosoeverWhoever shallswears swear by the temple, itthat is nothing; but whosoeverwhoever shallswears swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtorobligated.
23:17 YeYou fools and blind: formen; which is greatermore important, the gold, or the temple that hath sanctified the gold?
23:18 And, WhosoeverWhoever shallswears swear by the altar, itthat is nothing;, but whosoeverwhoever shallswears swear by the giftoffering that is upon it, he is a debtorobligated.
23:19 YeYou blind: formen, which is greatermore important, the gift,offering or the altar that sanctifiethsanctifies the giftoffering?
23:20 HeTherefore thereforehe thatwho swearethswears by the altar, swearethswears both by it,the altar and by alleverything thingson thereonit.
23:21 And he thatwho swearethswears by the temple, swearethswears both by it,the temple and by himHim thatwho dwellethdwells thereinwithin it.
23:22 And he thatwho swearethswears by the heaven, swearethswears both by the throne of God, and by himHim thatwho sittethsits thereonupon it.
23:23 Woe untoto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! forFor yeyou tithe mint and anisedill and cummin, and have leftneglected undone the weightier mattersprovisions of the law,: justice, and mercy, and faith:faithfulness; but these yeare oughtthe tothings you should have done, andwithout notneglecting to have left the other undoneothers.
23:24 YeYou blind guides, thatwho strain out thea gnat, and swallow thea camel!
23:25 Woe untoto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! forFor yeyou cleanseclean the outside of the cup and of the platterdish, but withininside they are full fromof extortionrobbery and excessself indulgence.
23:26 ThouYou blind Pharisee, cleanse first clean the inside of the cup and of the platterdish, so that the outside thereofof it may become clean also.
23:27 Woe untoto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! forFor yeyou are like untowhitewashed whitedtombs sepulchres, which outwardlyon the outside appear beautiful, but inwardlyinside they are full of dead mens bones, and of all uncleanness.
23:28 Even so yeyou alsotoo outwardly appear righteous untoto men, but inwardly yeyou are full of hypocrisy and iniquitylawlessness.
23:29 Woe untoto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! forFor yeyou build the sepulchrestombs of the prophets, and garnishadorn the tombsmonuments of the righteous,
23:30 and say, If we had been living in the days of our fathers, we shouldwould not have been partakerspartners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.
23:31 WhereforeConsequently yeyou bear witness toagainst yourselves, that yeyou are sons of themthose thatwho slewmurdered the prophets.
23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of the guilt of your fathers.
23:33 YeYou serpents, yeyou offspringbrood of vipers, how shall yeyou escape the judgmentsentence of hell?
23:34 Therefore, behold, I sendam untosending you prophets, and wise men, and scribes:; some of them shallyou yewill kill and crucify;, and some of them shallyou yewill scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city:,
23:35 that upon you may comefall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel theto righteous unto the blood of ZachariahZechariah, the son of BarachiahBerechiah, whom yeyou slewmurdered between the sanctuarytemple and the altar.
23:36 VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Allall these things shall come upon this generation.
23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thatwho killethkills the prophets, and stonethstones themthose thatwho are sent untoto her! howHow often would I havewanted gatheredto thygather your children together, eventhe asway a hen gatherethgathers her chickenschicks under her wings, and yeyou wouldwere not!unwilling.
23:38 Behold, your house is being left untoto you desolate.!
23:39 For I say untoto you, Yefrom now on you shall not see meMe henceforth,until tillyou ye shall say, Blessed is heHe thatwho comethcomes in the name of the Lord.!
24:1 And Jesus wentcame out from the temple, and was going onaway hiswhen way;His and his disciples came toup him to showpoint himout the temple buildings ofto the templeHim.
24:2 ButAnd heHe answered and said untoto them, SeeDo yeyou not see all these things? verilyTruly I say untoto you, There shall not beone leftstone here oneshall stonebe left upon another, thatwhich shallwill not be throwntorn down.
24:3 And as heHe satwas sitting on the mountMount of Olives, the disciples came untoto himHim privately, saying, Tell us, when shallwill these things be?, and what shallwill be the sign of thyYour coming, and of the end of the worldage?
24:4 And Jesus answered and said untoto them, TakeSee heedto it that no manone leadmisleads you astray.
24:5 For many shallwill come in myMy name, saying, I am the Christ;, and shallwill leadmislead many astray.
24:6 And yeyou shallwill hearbe hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that yeyou beare not troubled:frightened, for thesethose things must needstake comeplace, to pass; but thethat end is not yet the end.
24:7 For nation shallwill rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;, and in various places there shallwill be famines and earthquakes in divers places.
24:8 But all these things are merely the beginning of travailbirth pangs.
24:9 Then shall they will deliver you upto unto tribulation, and shallwill kill you:, and yeyou shallwill be hated ofby all the nations foron myaccount namesof sakeMy name.
24:10 And thenat shallthat time many stumble,will fall away and shallwill deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
24:11 And many false prophets shallwill arise, and shallwill leadmislead many astray.
24:12 And because iniquitylawlessness shallis be multipliedincreased, themost peoples love ofwill thegrow many shall wax cold.
24:13 But hethe thatone endurethwho endures to the end, thehe same shall be saved.
24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimonywitness untoto all the nations;, and then shall the end shall come.
24:15 WhenTherefore thereforewhen yeyou see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place let himthe thatreader readeth understand,
24:16 then let themthose thatwho are in JudaeaJudea flee untoto the mountains:;
24:17 let him thatwho is on the housetop not go down to takeget out the things out that are in his house:;
24:18 and let him thatwho is in the field not returnturn back to takeget his cloak.
24:19 But woe untoto themthose thatwho are with child and to themthose thatwho givenurse suckbabes in those days!
24:20 AndBut pray ye that your flight bemay not be in the winter, neitheror on a sabbath:Sabbath;
24:21 for then shallthere will be a great tribulation, such as hathhas not beenoccurred fromsince the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.
24:22 And exceptunless those days had been shortenedcut short, no fleshlife would have been saved:; but for the elects sake of the elect those days shall be shortenedcut short.
24:23 Then if anyanyone mansays shallto say unto you, LoBehold, here is the Christ, or There He is, Here;do not believe it nothim.
24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, will arise and shallwill show great signs and wonders;, so as to lead astraymislead, if possible, even the elect.
24:25 Behold, I have told you beforehandin advance.
24:26 If therefore they shall say untoto you, Behold, heHe is in the wilderness;, godo not go forth:, or, Behold, heHe is in the inner chambers;rooms, do not believe it notthem.
24:27 For just as the lightning comethcomes forth from the east, and isflashes seen even untoto the west;, so shall be the coming of the Son of manMan be.
24:28 WheresoeverWherever the carcasecorpse is, there will the eaglesvultures bewill gathered togethergather.
24:29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shallwill be darkened, and the moon shallwill not give herits light, and the stars shallwill fall from heaventhe sky, and the powers of the heavens shallwill be shaken:,
24:30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of manMan will appear in heaven:the sky, and then shall all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they shallwill see the Son of manMan coming on the clouds of heaventhe sky with power and great glory.
24:31 And heHe shallwill send forth hisHis angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shallwill gather together hisHis elect from the four winds, from one end of heaventhe sky to the other.
24:32 Now learn the parable from the fig tree learn her parable: when herits branch ishas nowalready become tender, and puttethputs forth its leaves, yeyou know that the summer is nighnear;
24:33 even so yeyou alsotoo, when yeyou see all these things, knowrecognize ye that heHe is nighnear, evenright at the doorsdoor.
24:34 VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Thisthis generation shallwill not pass away, tilluntil all these things betake accomplishedplace.
24:35 Heaven and earth shallwill pass away, but myMy words shall not pass away.
24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, neithernor the Son, but the Father onlyalone.
24:37 AndFor asthe werecoming of the daysSon of Noah,Man sowill shall be thejust cominglike of the Sondays of manNoah.
24:38 For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
24:39 and they knewdid not understand until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of manMan be.
24:40 Then there shall be two men be in the field; one iswill be taken, and one iswill be left:.
24:41 twoTwo women shallwill be grinding at the mill; one iswill be taken, and one iswill be left.
24:42 WatchTherefore therefore:be on the alert, for yeyou knowdo not onknow whatwhich day your Lord comethis coming.
24:43 But knowbe sure of this, that if the masterhead of the house had known inat what watchtime of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched,been on the alert and would not have sufferedallowed his house to be broken throughinto.
24:44 ThereforeFor bethis yereason alsoyou be ready too; for inthe Son of Man is coming at an hour thatwhen yeyou thinkdo not thethink SonHe of man comethwill.
24:45 Who then is the faithful and wisesensible servant,slave whom his Lordmaster hathput setin overcharge of his household, to give them their food inat duethe seasonproper time?
24:46 Blessed is that servant,slave whom his Lordmaster whenfinds heso comethdoing shallwhen findhe so doingcomes.
24:47 VerilyTruly I say untoto you, that he will setput him overin charge of all thathis he hathpossessions.
24:48 But if that evil servantslave shallsays say in his heart, My Lordmaster tarrieth;is not coming for a long time,
24:49 and shall begin to beat his fellow servants,slaves and shall eat and drink with the drunkendrunkards;
24:50 the Lordmaster of that servantslave shallwill come inon a day when he expectethdoes not, expect him and inat an hour whenwhich he knowethdoes not know,
24:51 and shall cut him asunder,in pieces and appointassign hishim portiona place with the hypocrites:; thereweeping shall be thethere weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven will be likenedcomparable untoto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forthout to meet the bridegroom.
25:2 And five of them were foolish, and five were wiseprudent.
25:3 For when the foolish, when they took their lamps, they took no oil with them:,
25:4 but the wiseprudent took oil in theirflasks vesselsalong with their lamps.
25:5 Now while the bridegroom tarriedwas delaying, they all slumberedgot drowsy and sleptbegan to sleep.
25:6 But at midnight there iswas a cryshout, Behold, the bridegroom! Come yeout forth to meet him.
25:7 Then all those virgins aroserose, and trimmed their lamps.
25:8 And the foolish said untoto the wiseprudent, Give us some of your oil;, for our lamps are going out.
25:9 But the wiseprudent answered, saying, PeradventureNo, there will not be enough for us and you: too; go yeinstead rather to themthe thatdealers sell, and buy some for yourselves.
25:10 And while they wentwere going away to buymake the purchase, the bridegroom came;, and theythose thatwho were ready went in with him to the marriagewedding feast:; and the door was shut.
25:11 AfterwardAnd camelater also the other virgins also came, saying, Lord, Lord, open toup for us.
25:12 But he answered and said, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, I do not know you not.
25:13 WatchBe thereforeon the alert then, for yeyou knowdo not know the day nor the hour.
25:14 For it is asjust whenlike a man, goingabout intoto anothergo countryon a journey, who called his own servantsslaves, and deliveredentrusted untohis thempossessions histo goodsthem.
25:15 And untoto one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one;, to each according to his severalown ability; and he went on his journey.
25:16 StraightwayImmediately hethe thatone who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and madegained other five more talents.
25:17 In likethe same manner hethe alsoone thatwho had received the two talents gained othertwo twomore.
25:18 But he thatwho received the one talent went away and diggeddug in the earthground, and hid his Lordsmasters money.
25:19 Now after a long time the Lordmaster of those servantsslaves cometh,came and makethsettled aaccounts reckoning with them.
25:20 And hethe thatone who had received the five talents came up and brought other five more talents, saying, LordMaster, thouyou deliveredstentrusted unto me five talents: loto me; see, I have gained other five more talents.
25:21 His Lordmaster said untoto him, Well done, good and faithful servant:slave; thouyou hastwere been faithful overwith a few things, I will setput theeyou overin charge of many things;, enter thou into the joy of thyyour Lordmaster.
25:22 AndThe heone also thatwho had received the two talents came up and said, LordMaster, thouyou deliveredstentrusted untoto me two talents:; losee, I have gained other two more talents.
25:23 His Lordmaster said untoto him, Well done, good and faithful servant:slave; thouyou hastwere been faithful overwith a few things, I will setput theeyou overin charge of many things; enter thou into the joy of thyyour Lordmaster.
25:24 And hethe one also thatwho had received the one talent came up and said, LordMaster, I knew theeyou thatto thoube art a hard man, reaping where thouyou didstdid not sow, and gathering where thouyou didstscattered notno scatter;seed.
25:25 andAnd I was afraid, and went away and hid thyyour talent in the earth:ground; losee, thouyou hasthave thinewhat ownis yours.
25:26 But his Lordmaster answered and said untoto him, ThouYou wicked, andlazy slothful servantslave, thouyou knewestknew that I reap where I soweddid not sow, and gather where I didscattered notno scatter;seed.
25:27 thouThen oughtestyou thereforeought to have put my money toin the bankersbank, and aton my comingarrival I shouldwould have received backmy minemoney ownback with interest.
25:28 TakeTherefore yetake away therefore the talent from him, and give it untoto himthe thatone hathwho has the ten talents.
25:29 For untoto everyeveryone onewho thathas hath shall more be given, and he shall have an abundance:; but from himthe thatone hathwho does not have, even thatwhat which he hathdoes have shall be taken away.
25:30 And cast ye out the unprofitableworthless servantslave into the outer darkness:; in that place there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
25:31 But when the Son of manMan shallcomes come in hisHis glory, and all the angels with himHim, then shallHe hewill sit on theHis glorious throne of his glory:.
25:32 andAnd beforeall himthe shallnations will be gathered allbefore theHim; nations: and heHe shallwill separate them from one from another, as the shepherd separatethseparates the sheep from the goats;
25:33 and heHe shallwill setput the sheep on hisHis right hand, butand the goats on the left.
25:34 Then shall the King will say untoto themthose on hisHis right hand, Come, yeyou who are blessed of myMy Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:.
25:35 forFor I was hungry, and yeyou gave meMe something to eat; I was thirsty, and yeyou gave meMe drink; I was a stranger, and yeyou tookinvited meMe in;
25:36 naked, and yeyou clothed meMe; I was sick, and yeyou visited meMe; I was in prison, and yeyou came untoto meMe.
25:37 Then shall the righteous will answer himHim, saying, Lord, when sawdid we theesee You hungry, and fedfeed thee?You, or athirstthirsty, and gavegive theeYou drink?
25:38 And when sawdid we theesee You a stranger, and tookinvite theeYou in?, or naked, and clothedclothe theeYou?
25:39 And when sawdid we theesee You sick, or in prison, and camecome untoto theeYou?
25:40 And the King shallwill answer and say untoto them, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Inasmuchto asthe yeextent that you did it untoto one of these mybrothers brethrenof Mine, even thesethe least of them, yeyou did it untoto meMe.
25:41 Then shallHe hewill also say alsoto untothose them on theHis left hand, Depart from meMe, yeaccursed cursedones, into the eternal fire which ishas been prepared for the devil and his angels:;
25:42 for I was hungry, and yeyou didgave notMe givenothing me to eat; I was thirsty, and yeyou gave meMe nonothing to drink;
25:43 I was a stranger, and yeyou tookdid me not invite Me in; naked, and yeyou clotheddid menot notclothe Me; sick, and in prison, and yeyou visiteddid menot notvisit Me.
25:44 Then shall they themselves also will answer, saying, Lord, when sawdid we theesee You hungry, or athirstthirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not ministertake untocare theeof You?
25:45 Then shallHe hewill answer them, saying, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Inasmuchto asthe yeextent that you did not do it notto unto one of thesethe least of these, yeyou did not do it notto unto meMe.
25:46 And these shallwill go away into eternal punishment:, but the righteous into eternal life.
26:1 And it came toabout pass,that when Jesus had finished all these words, heHe said untoto hisHis disciples,
26:2 YeYou know that after two days the passoverPassover comethis coming, and the Son of manMan is to be delivered up tofor be crucifiedcrucifixion.
26:3 Then were gathered together the chief priests, and the elders of the people, untowere gathered together in the court of the high priest, whonamed was called Caiaphas;
26:4 and they tookplotted counsel together thatto theyseize might take Jesus by subtletystealth, and kill himHim.
26:5 But they saidwere saying, Not during the feastfestival, lest a tumultriot ariseoccur among the people.
26:6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, inat the househome of Simon the leper,
26:7 therea woman came untoto himHim awith woman having an alabaster crusevial of exceedingvery preciouscostly ointmentperfume, and she poured it upon hisHis head, as heHe satreclined at meatthe table.
26:8 But when the disciples sawwere it,indignant when they hadsaw indignationthis, sayingand said, ToWhy what purpose is this waste?
26:9 For this ointmentperfume might have been sold for much,a high price and the money given to the poor.
26:10 But Jesus, perceivingaware itof this, said untoto them, Why troubledo yeyou bother the woman? forFor she hathhas wroughtdone a good workdeed uponto meMe.
26:11 For ye have the poor alwaysyou have with you always; but meyou yedo have not always have Me.
26:12 For inwhen that she poured this ointmentperfume upon myMy body, she did it to prepare meMe for burial.
26:13 VerilyTruly I say untoto you, Wheresoeverwherever this gospel shallis be preached in the whole world, thatwhat also which this woman hathhas done shall also be spoken of forin amemory memorial of her.
26:14 Then one of the twelve, whonamed was called Judas Iscariot, went untoto the chief priests,
26:15 and said, What are yeyou willing to give me, andto Ideliver willHim deliverup himto unto you? And they weighed untoout to him thirty pieces of silver.
26:16 And from thatthen timeon he soughtbegan looking for a good opportunity to deliverbetray him unto themHim.
26:17 Now on the first day of unleavenedUnleavened breadBread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where wiltdo thouYou thatwant weus maketo readyprepare for theeYou to eat the passoverPassover?
26:18 And heHe said, Go into the city to such a certain man, and say untoto him, The Teacher saithsays, My time is at hand; I am to keep the passoverPassover at thyyour house with myMy disciples.
26:19 And the disciples did as Jesus appointedhad directed them; and they madeprepared ready the passoverPassover.
26:20 Now when evenevening washad come, heHe was sittingreclining at meatthe table with the twelve disciples;.
26:21 andAnd as they were eating, heHe said, VerilyTruly I say untoto you, that one of you shallwill betray meMe.
26:22 And theybeing weredeeply exceeding sorrowfulgrieved, andthey each one began to say untoto him every oneHim, IsSurely itnot I, Lord?
26:23 And heHe answered and said, He thatwho dipped his hand with meMe in the dish,bowl is the sameone shallwho will betray meMe.
26:24 The Son of manMan goethis to go, evenjust as it is written of him:Him; but woe untoto that man throughby whom the Son of manMan is betrayed! goodIt werewould ithave been good for that man if he had not been born.
26:25 And Judas, who betrayedwas himbetraying Him, answered and said, IsSurely it is not I, Rabbi? He saithsaid untoto him, ThouYou hasthave said it yourself.
26:26 And aswhile they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and blessedafter a blessing, andHe brakebroke it; and he gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is myMy body.
26:27 And hewhen tookHe had taken a cup, and gavegiven thanks, andHe gave it to them, saying, Drink yefrom it, all of ityou;
26:28 for this is myMy blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many untofor remissionforgiveness of sins.
26:29 But I say untoto you, I shallwill not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in myMy Fathers kingdom.
26:30 And whenafter theysinging had sung a hymn, they went out intoto the mountMount of Olives.
26:31 Then saith Jesus untosaid to them, AllYou yewill shallall befall offendedaway inbecause meof Me this night:, for it is written, I will smitestrike down the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
26:32 But after I amhave been raised up, I will go before you intoto Galilee.
26:33 But Peter answered and said untoto himHim, IfEven though all shallmay befall offendedaway inbecause theeof You, I will never befall offendedaway.
26:34 Jesus said untoto him, VerilyTruly I say untoto thee,you that this very night, before thea cock crowcrows, thouyou shaltshall deny meMe thricethree times.
26:35 Peter saithsaid untoto himHim, Even if I musthave to die with theeYou, yetI will I not deny theeYou. LikewiseAll alsothe disciples said all the disciplessame thing too.
26:36 Then cometh Jesus came with them untoto a place called Gethsemane, and saithsaid untoto hisHis disciples, Sit ye here, while I go yonderover there and pray.
26:37 And heHe took with himHim Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowfulgrieved and sore troubleddistressed.
26:38 Then saithHe hesaid untoto them, My soul is exceedingdeeply sorrowfulgrieved, evento untothe point of death:; abideremain ye here, and keep watch with meMe.
26:39 And heHe went forward a little beyond them, and fell on hisHis face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it beis possible, let this cup pass away from me:Me; nevertheless,yet not as I will, but as thouThou wilt.
26:40 And heHe comethcame untoto the disciples, and findethfound them sleeping, and saithsaid untoto Peter, WhatSo, you men could ye not keep watch with meMe for one hour?
26:41 WatchKeep watching and praypraying, that yeyou entermay not enter into temptation:; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
26:42 AgainHe went away again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cannot pass away, exceptunless I drink it, thyThy will be done.
26:43 And heagain He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
26:44 And heHe left them again, and went away, and prayed a third time, saying again the same wordsthing once more.
26:45 Then comethHe hecame to the disciples, and saithsaid untoto them, SleepAre onyou now,still sleeping and taketaking your rest:? beholdBehold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of manMan is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.
26:46 Arise, let us be going:; behold, hethe one who betrays Me is at hand that betrayeth me.!
26:47 And while heHe yetwas spakestill speaking, lobehold, Judas, one of the twelve, came up, andaccompanied withby him a great multitude with swords and stavesclubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
26:48 Now he thatwho betrayedwas himbetraying Him gave them a sign, saying, WhomsoeverWhomever I shall kiss, thatHe is he:the takeone; himseize Him.
26:49 And straightwayimmediately he camewent to Jesus, and said, Hail, Rabbi;! and kissed himHim.
26:50 And Jesus said untoto him, Friend, do thatwhat foryou whichhave thoucome art comefor. Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and tookseized himHim.
26:51 And behold, one of themthose thatwho were with Jesus stretchedreached out his hand, and drew out his sword, and smotestruck the servantslave of the high priest, and struckcut off his ear.
26:52 Then saith Jesus untosaid to him, Put upyour againsword thyback sword into its place:; for all theythose thatwho take up the sword shall perish withby the sword.
26:53 Or thinkestdo thouyou think that I cannot beseechappeal myto My Father, and heHe shallwill evenat nowonce sendput meat My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
26:54 How then shouldshall the scripturesScriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must behappen this way?
26:55 InAt that hourtime Jesus said Jesus to the multitudes, AreHave yeyou come out as against a robber with swords and stavesclubs to seizearrest meMe as against a robber? Every day I satused dailyto sit in the temple teaching, and yeyou tookdid menot notseize Me.
26:56 But all this ishas cometaken toplace pass, that the scripturesScriptures of the prophets mightmay be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him,Him and fled.
26:57 And theythose thatwho had takenseized Jesus led himHim away to the house of Caiaphas, the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.
26:58 But Peter followedalso himwas afarfollowing off,Him untoat a distance as far as the courtcourtyard of the high priest, and entered in, and sat down with the officers, to see the endoutcome.
26:59 Now the chief priests and the whole councilCouncil soughtkept trying to obtain false witnesstestimony against Jesus, in order that they might put himHim to death;
26:60 and they founddid itnot notfind any, even though many false witnesses came forward. But afterwardlater on two came twoforward,
26:61 and said, This man saidstated, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to buildrebuild it in three days.
26:62 And the high priest stood up, and said untoto himHim, AnswerestDo thouYou nothingmake no answer? whatWhat is it whichthat these witnessmen are testifying against theeYou?
26:63 But Jesus heldkept his peacesilent. And the high priest said untoto himHim, I adjure theeYou by the living God, that thouYou tell us whether thouYou artare the Christ, the Son of God.
26:64 Jesus saithsaid untoto him, ThouYou hasthave said: it yourself; nevertheless I saytell unto you, Henceforthhereafter yeyou shall see the Son of manMan sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
26:65 Then the high priest renttore his garmentsrobes, saying, He hathhas spokenblasphemed! blasphemy:What what further need havedo we have of witnesses? beholdBehold, nowyou ye have now heard the blasphemy:;
26:66 what do you think ye? They answered and said, He is worthydeserving of death.!
26:67 Then did they spitspat in hisHis face and buffetbeat him:Him andwith sometheir smotefists; himand withothers theslapped palms of their handsHim,
26:68 sayingand said, Prophesy untoto us, thouYou Christ:; who is hethe thatone struckwho theehit You?
26:69 Now Peter was sitting withoutoutside in the court:courtyard, and a maidcertain servant girl came untoto him, sayingand said, ThouYou alsotoo wastwere with Jesus the GalilaeanGalilean.
26:70 But he denied it before them all, saying, I knowdo not know what thouyou sayestare talking about.
26:71 And when he washad gone out intoto the porchgateway, another maidservant girl saw him, and saithsaid untoto themthose thatwho were there, This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
26:72 And again he denied it with an oath, I knowdo not know the man.
26:73 And after a little whilelater theythe thatbystanders stoodcame byup came and said to Peter, OfSurely ayou truthtoo thouare also art one of them; for thythe speechway makethyou theetalk knowngives you away.
26:74 Then he began he to curse and to swear, I knowdo not know the man.! And straightwayimmediately thea cock crewcrowed.
26:75 And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, Before thea cock crowcrows, thouyou shaltwill deny meMe thricethree times. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
27:1 Now when morning washad come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put himHim to death:;
27:2 and they bound himHim, and led himHim away, and delivered himHim up to Pilate the governor.
27:3 Then when Judas, who had betrayed himHim, when he saw that heHe washad been condemned, repentedhe himself,felt remorse and broughtreturned back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
27:4 saying, I have sinned inby thatbetraying I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? seeSee thou to it.that yourself!
27:5 And he castthrew down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.
27:6 And the chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood.
27:7 And they tookcounseled counsel,together and bought with themthe money bought the pottersPotters field,Field toas burya burial place for strangers in.
27:8 WhereforeFor this reason that field washas been called, Thethe fieldField of blood,Blood untoto this day.
27:9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of himthe thatone waswhose priced,price whomhad certainbeen ofset by the childrensons of Israel did price;
27:10 and they gave them for the pottersPotters fieldField, as the Lord appointeddirected me.
27:11 Now Jesus stood before the governor:, and the governor askedquestioned himHim, saying, ArtAre thouYou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said untoto him, ThouIt sayestis as you say.
27:12 And whenwhile heHe was being accused by the chief priests and elders, heHe answeredmade nothingno answer.
27:13 Then saith Pilate untosaid himto Him, HearestDo thouYou not hear how many things they witnesstestify against theeYou?
27:14 And heHe gavedid not answer him nowith answer,regard notto even toa onesingle word:charge, insomuchso that the governor marvelledwas greatlyquite amazed.
27:15 Now at the feast the governor was wontaccustomed to release untofor the multitude any one prisoner, whom they wouldwanted.
27:16 And they hadwere thenholding at that time a notablenotorious prisoner, called Barabbas.
27:17 When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said untoto them, Whom willdo yeyou thatwant Ime to release untofor you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?
27:18 For he knew that forbecause of envy they had delivered himHim up.
27:19 And while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent untoto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that righteous manMan; for last night I have suffered manygreatly things this day in a dream because of himHim.
27:20 NowBut the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes thatto they should ask for Barabbas, and destroyto put Jesus to death.
27:21 But the governor answered and said untoto them, Which of the two willdo yeyou thatwant Ime to release untofor you? And they said, Barabbas.
27:22 Pilate saithsaid untoto them, WhatThen thenwhat shall I do untowith Jesus who is called Christ? They all saysaid, Let himHim be crucified.!
27:23 And he said, Why, what evil hathhas heHe done? But they criedkept outshouting exceedinglyall the more, saying, Let himHim be crucified.!
27:24 SoAnd when Pilate saw that he prevailedwas accomplishing nothing, but rather that a tumultriot was arisingstarting, he took water, and washed his hands beforein front of the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this righteousMans manblood; see ye to itthat yourselves.
27:25 And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.!
27:26 Then he released heBarabbas untofor them Barabbas; but after having Jesus he scourged, andhe delivered Him to be crucified.
27:27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered unto him the whole bandRoman cohort around Him.
27:28 And they stripped himHim, and put on him a scarlet robe on Him.
27:29 And theyafter plattedweaving a crown of thorns, andthey put it uponon hisHis head, and a reed in hisHis right hand; and they kneeled down before him,Him and mocked himHim, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
27:30 And they spat uponon himHim, and took the reed and smotebegan himto beat Him on the head.
27:31 And whenafter they had mocked himHim, they took offHis fromrobe himoff the robe, and put onHis himgarments hison garmentsHim, and led himHim away to crucify himHim.
27:32 And as they camewere coming out, they found a man of Cyrene, named Simon, bywhom name:they himpressed theyinto compelledservice to go with them, that he might bear hisHis cross.
27:33 And when they werehad come untoto a place called Golgotha, thatwhich ismeans toPlace say, The place of a skullSkull,
27:34 they gave himHim wine to drink mingled with gall:; and whenafter hetasting had tasted it, heHe wouldwas notunwilling to drink.
27:35 And when they had crucified himHim, they parteddivided hisup His garments among themthemselves, casting lots;
27:36 and sitting down, they satbegan andto watchedkeep himwatch over Him there.
27:37 And they setput up overabove hisHis head histhe accusationcharge writtenagainst Him which read, ThisTHIS isIS JesusJESUS theTHE KingKING ofOF theTHE JewsJEWS.
27:38 ThenAt arethat theretime two robbers were crucified with him two robbersHim, one on the right hand and one on the left.
27:39 And theythose thatpassing passed by railedwere onhurling himabuse at Him, wagging their heads,
27:40 and saying, ThouYou thatwho destroyestare going to destroy the temple, and buildestrebuild it in three days, save thyself:Yourself! ifIf thouYou artare the Son of God, come down from the cross.
27:41 In likethe mannersame alsoway the chief priests mocking himalso, along with the scribes and elders, saidwere mocking Him, and saying,
27:42 He saved others; himselfHe he cannot save Himself. He is the King of Israel; let himHim now come down from the cross, and we willshall believe onin himHim.
27:43 He trustethtrusts onin God; let himHim deliver himHim now, if heHe desirethtakes him:pleasure in Him; for heHe said, I am the Son of God.
27:44 And the robbers also thatwho werehad been crucified with himHim castwere uponcasting him the same reproachinsult at Him.
27:45 Now from the sixth hour theredarkness wasfell darknessupon over all the land until the ninth hour.
27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, myMy God, why hast thouThou forsaken meMe?
27:47 And some of themthose thatwho stoodwere standing there, when they heard it, saidbegan saying, This man callethis calling for Elijah.
27:48 And straightwayimmediately one of them ran, and tooktaking a sponge, andhe filled it with vinegarsour wine, and put it on a reed, and gave himHim toa drink.
27:49 AndBut the rest of them said, Let be; let us see whether Elijah comethwill come to save himHim.
27:50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up hisHis spirit.
27:51 And behold, the veil of the temple was renttorn in two from the top to the bottom;, and the earth did quakeshook; and the rocks were rent;split,
27:52 and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints thatwho had fallen asleep were raised;
27:53 and coming forth out of the tombs after hisHis resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared untoto many.
27:54 Now the centurion, and theythose thatwho were with him watchingkeeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were donehappening, fearedbecame exceedingly,very sayingfrightened and said, Truly this was the Son of God.!
27:55 And many women were there beholdinglooking on from afara distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering untoto him:Him,
27:56 among whom was Mary Magdalene, andalong with Mary the mother of James and JosesJoseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
27:57 And when evenit was comeevening, there came a rich man from ArimathaeaArimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also himselfbecome wasa disciple of Jesus disciple:.
27:58 thisThis man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commandedordered it to be given upover to him.
27:59 And Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
27:60 and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock:; and he rolled a greatlarge stone toagainst the doorentrance of the tomb, and departedwent away.
27:61 And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting overopposite against the sepulchregrave.
27:62 Now on the morrownext day, which is the dayone after the Preparationpreparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together untowith Pilate,
27:63 sayingand said, Sir, we remember that thatwhen deceiverHe saidwas whilestill healive wasthat yetdeceiver alivesaid, After three days I am to rise again.
27:64 CommandTherefore, thereforegive thatorders for the sepulchregrave to be made suresecure until the third day, lest haplythe his disciples come and steal himHim away, and say untoto the people, He ishas risen from the dead:, and the last errordeception will be worse than the first.
27:65 Pilate said untoto them, YeYou have a guard:; go, make it as suresecure as yeyou canknow how.
27:66 SoAnd they went, and made the sepulchregrave suresecure, sealingand thealong stone,with the guard beingthey withset thema seal on the stone.
28:1 Now lateafter on the sabbath daySabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to seelook at the sepulchregrave.
28:2 And behold, there was a greatsevere earthquake; had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.
28:3 HisAnd his appearance was aslike lightning, and his raimentgarment as white as snow:;
28:4 and the guards shook for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became aslike dead men.
28:5 And the angel answered and said untoto the women, FearDo not yebe afraid; for I know that yeyou seekare looking for Jesus, who hathhas been crucified.
28:6 He is not here;, for heHe ishas risen, evenjust as heHe said. Come, see the place where theHe Lordwas laylying.
28:7 And go quickly, and tell hisHis disciples, that He ishas risen from the dead; and lobehold, heHe goethis going before you into Galilee;, there shallyou yewill see him:Him; lobehold, I have told you.
28:8 And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bringreport hisit to His disciples word.
28:9 And behold, Jesus met them, saying,and Allgreeted hailthem. And they came up and took hold of hisHis feet, and worshippedworshiped himHim.
28:10 Then saith Jesus untosaid to them, FearDo not: be afraid; go telland mytake word to My brethren thatto theyleave departfor into Galilee, and there they shall they see meMe.
28:11 Now while they were goingon their way, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and toldreported untoto the chief priests all the things that werehad come to passhappened.
28:12 And when they werehad assembled with the elders, and hadcounseled taken counseltogether, they gave mucha large sum of money untoto the soldiers,
28:13 sayingand said, SayYou yeare to say, His disciples came by night, and stole himHim away while we sleptwere asleep.
28:14 And if this should come to the governors ears, we will persuadewin him, over and ridkeep you out of caretrouble.
28:15 SoAnd they took the money, and did as they werehad taught:been instructed; and this sayingstory was widely spread abroad among the Jews, and continuethis untilto this day.
28:16 But the eleven disciples wentproceeded intoto Galilee, untoto the mountain wherewhich Jesus had appointed themdesignated.
28:17 And when they saw himHim, they worshippedworshiped himHim; but some doubtedwere doubtful.
28:18 And Jesus came toup them and spakespoke untoto them, saying, All authority hathhas been given untoto meMe in heaven and on earth.
28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them intoin the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:,
28:20 teaching them to observe all thingsthat whatsoever I commanded you:; and lo, I am with you always, even untoto the end of the worldage.
