1:1 God, havingafter ofHe oldspoke timelong spokenago untoto the fathers in the prophets byin diversmany portions and in diversmany mannersways,
1:2 hathin atthese thelast enddays ofhas these days spoken untoto us in hisHis Son, whom heHe appointed heir of all things, through whom also heHe made the worlds;world.
1:3 whoAnd beingHe is the effulgenceradiance of hisHis glory, and the veryexact imagerepresentation of hisHis substancenature, and upholdingupholds all things by the word of hisHis power,. whenWhen heHe had made purification of sins, He sat down onat the right hand of the Majesty on high;
1:4 having become byas so much better than the angels, as heHe hathhas inherited a more excellent name than they.
1:5 For untoto which of the angels saiddid heHe atever any timesay, Thou art myMy Son, ThisToday dayI have I begotten theeThee? andAnd again, I will be to him a Father, to Him And heHe shall be toa meSon ato SonMe?
1:6 And when heHe again bringethbrings in the firstbornfirst born into the world, heHe saithsays, And let all the angels of God worship himHim.
1:7 And of the angels heHe saithsays, Who makethmakes hisHis angels winds, And hisHis ministers a flame of fire:.
1:8 butBut of the Son heHe saithsays, Thy throne, O God, is forforever ever and ever;, And the sceptrerighteous ofscepter uprightness is the sceptrescepter of thyHis kingdom.
1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquitylawlessness; Therefore God, thyThy God, hath anointed theeThee With the oil of gladness above thyThy fellowscompanions.
1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thyThy hands:;
1:11 They shallwill perish;, but thouThou continuest:remainest; And they all shallwill waxbecome old as doth a garment;,
1:12 And as a mantle shaltThou thouwilt roll them up,; As a garment, and they shallwill also be changed:. But thouThou art the same, And thyThy years shallwill not failcome to an end.
1:13 But ofto which of the angels hathhas heHe ever said at any time, Sit thouat onMy my right hand, TillUntil I make thineThine enemies theA footstool offor thyThy feet ?
1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forthout to dorender service for the sake of themthose thatwho shallwill inherit salvation?
2:1 ThereforeFor wethis oughtreason towe givemust thepay moremuch earnestcloser heedattention to thewhat thingswe thathave were heard, lest haply we drift away from themit.
2:2 For if the word spoken through angels proved stedfastunalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;,
2:3 how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? whichAfter havingit was at the first been spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed untoto us by themthose thatwho heard;,
2:4 God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifoldvarious powers,miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to hisHis own will.
2:5 For notHe unto angels did henot subject to angels the world to come, whereofconcerning which we speakare speaking.
2:6 But one hathhas testified somewhere testified, saying, What is man, that thouThou artrememberest mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thouThou visitestart concerned about him?
2:7 Thou madesthast made him for a little while lower than the angels; Thou crownedsthast crowned him with glory and honor, And didsthast setappointed him over the works of thyThy hands:;
2:8 Thou didsthast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in thatsubjecting he subjected all things untoto him, heHe left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we seedo not yet see all things subjected to him.
2:9 But we beholddo himsee Him who hathhas been made for a little while lower than the angels, evennamely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God heHe shouldmight taste of death for every maneveryone.
2:10 For it becamewas himfitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons untoto glory, to makeperfect the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
2:11 For both heHe thatwho sanctifiethsanctifies and theythose thatwho are sanctified are all offrom one: Father; for which causereason heHe is not ashamed to call them brethren,
2:12 saying, I will declareproclaim thyThy name untoto myMy brethren, In the midst of the congregation I will I sing thyThy praise.
2:13 And again, I will put myMy trust in himHim. And again, Behold, I and the children whom God hathhas given meMe.
2:14 Since then the children areshare sharers in flesh and blood, heHe alsoHimself himselflikewise inalso like manner partook of the same;, that through death heHe might bringrender topowerless nought him thatwho had the power of death, that is, the devil;
2:15 and might deliver allthose them who through fear of death were allsubject theirto lifetimeslavery subjectall totheir bondagelives.
2:16 For verilyassuredly notHe todoes angelsnot dothgive hehelp giveto helpangels, but heHe givethgives help to the seeddescendant of Abraham.
2:17 WhereforeTherefore, itHe behoovedhad him in all things to be made like untoHis hisbrethren brethrenin all things, that heHe might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
2:18 For since He Himself was tempted in that hewhich himselfHe hathhas suffered being tempted, heHe is able to succorcome themto thatthe aid of those who are tempted.
3:1 WhereforeTherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;.
3:2 whoHe was faithful to himHim thatwho appointed himHim, as Moses also was Moses in all hisHis house.
3:3 For heHe hathhas been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as hethe thatbuilder builtof the house hathhas more honor than the house.
3:4 For every house is buildedbuilt by somesomeone, one; but hethe thatbuilder builtof all things is God.
3:5 AndNow Moses indeed was faithful in all hisHis house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken later;
3:6 but Christ was faithful as a son,Son over hisHis house; whose house we are we, if we hold fast our boldnessconfidence and the gloryingboast of our hope firm untountil the end.
3:7 WhereforeTherefore, evenjust as the Holy Spirit saithsays, ToToday day if yeyou shall hear hisHis voice,
3:8 HardenDo not harden your hearts, as inwhen thethey provocationprovoked Me, LikeAs as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
3:9 Where your fathers tried meMe by provingtesting meMe, And saw myMy works for forty years.
3:10 WhereforeTherefore I was displeasedangry with this generation, And said, They do always errgo astray in their heart:; ButAnd they did not know myMy ways;
3:11 As I swareswore in myMy wrath, They shall not enter intoMy my rest.
3:12 Take heedcare, brethren, lest haply there shallshould be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God:.
3:13 butBut exhortencourage one another day byafter day, soas long as it is still called ToToday, day; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin:.
3:14 forFor we arehave become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidenceassurance firm untountil the end:;
3:15 while it is said, ToToday day if yeyou shall hear hisHis voice, HardenDo not harden your hearts, as inwhen thethey provocationprovoked Me.
3:16 For who, provoked Him when they had heard, did provoke? nayIndeed, did not all theythose thatwho came out of Egypt led by Moses?
3:17 And with whom was heHe displeasedangry for forty years? wasWas it not with themthose thatwho sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
3:18 And to whom swaredid heHe swear that they should not enter intoHis his rest, but to themthose thatwho were disobedient?
3:19 And so we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
4:1 LetTherefore, let us fear thereforelest, lestwhile haply, a promise beingremains left of entering intoHis his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.
4:2 For indeed we have had good tidingsnews preached untoto us, evenjust as they also; they: but the word ofthey hearingheard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith within themthose thatwho heard.
4:3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest;, evenjust as heHe hathhas said, As I swareswore in myMy wrath, They shall not enter intoMy my rest:, although theHis works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4:4 For heHe hathhas thus said somewhere ofconcerning the seventh day on this wise, And God rested on the seventh day from all hisHis works;
4:5 and again in this place againpassage, They shall not enter intoMy my rest.
4:6 SeeingSince therefore it remainethremains thatfor some shouldto enter thereintoit, and theythose towho whomformerly thehad good tidingsnews werepreached beforeto preachedthem failed to enter in because of disobedience,
4:7 heHe again definethfixes a certain day, To dayToday, saying inthrough David after so long a time afterwardjust even as hathhas been said before, ToToday day if yeyou shall hear hisHis voice, HardenDo not harden your hearts.
4:8 For if Joshua had given them rest, heHe would not have spoken afterward of another day after that.
4:9 There remainethremains therefore a sabbathSabbath rest for the people of God.
4:10 For hethe thatone iswho has entered intoHis his rest hathhas himself also rested from his works, as God did from hisHis.
4:11 Let us therefore givebe diligencediligent to enter into that rest, thatlest noanyone man fall afterthrough following the same example of disobedience.
4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing evenas tofar as the dividingdivision of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quickable to discernjudge the thoughts and intentsintentions of the heart.
4:13 And there is no creature thathidden isfrom notHis manifest in his sight:, but all things are nakedopen and laid openbare beforeto the eyes of himHim with whom we have to do.
4:14 HavingSince then we have a great high priest, who hathhas passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
4:15 For we havedo not have a high priest thatwho cannot besympathize touched with the feeling of our infirmities;weaknesses, but oneOne thatwho hathhas been tempted in all pointsthings tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
4:16 Let us therefore draw near with boldnessconfidence untoto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.
5:1 For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed foron behalf of men in things pertaining to God, thatin heorder mayto offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:;
5:2 whohe can beardeal gently with the ignorant and erringmisguided, forsince that he himself also is compassedbeset with infirmityweakness;
5:3 and bybecause reasonof thereofit he is boundobligated to offer sacrifices for sins, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
5:4 And no manone takethtakes the honor untoto himself, but receives it when he is called ofby God, even as Aaron was Aaron.
5:5 So also Christ alsodid glorified not himselfglorify Himself so as to bebecome made a high priest, but heHe thatwho spakesaid untoto himHim, Thou art myMy Son, ThisToday dayI have I begotten thee:Thee;
5:6 just as heHe saithsays also in another placepassage, Thou art a priest forforever everAccording Afterto the order of Melchizedek.
5:7 WhoIn in the days of hisHis flesh, havingHe offered up both prayers and supplications with strongloud crying and tears untoto himthe thatOne was able to save himHim from death, and havingHe beenwas heard forbecause hisof godlyHis fear,piety.
5:8 thoughAlthough heHe was a Son, yetHe learned obedience byfrom the things which heHe suffered;.
5:9 andAnd having been made perfect, heHe became untoto all themthose thatwho obey himHim the authorsource of eternal salvation;,
5:10 namedbeing ofdesignated by God as a high priest afteraccording to the order of Melchizedek.
5:11 OfConcerning whomhim we have manymuch things to say, and it is hard ofto interpretationexplain, seeingsince yeyou arehave become dull of hearing.
5:12 For whenthough by reasonthis of the time yeyou ought to be teachers, yeyou have need again thatfor somesomeone oneto teach you the rudimentselementary of the first principles of the oracles of God;, and areyou becomehave suchcome asto have need of milk, and not of solid food.
5:13 For everyeveryone onewho thatpartakes partakethonly of milk is withoutnot experienceaccustomed ofto the word of righteousness;, for he is a babe.
5:14 But solid food is for fullgrownthe menmature, even those who bybecause reason of usepractice have their senses exercisedtrained to discern good and evil.
6:1 WhereforeTherefore leaving the doctrineelementary ofteaching about the first principles of Christ, let us press on untoto perfection;maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
6:2 of theinstruction teachingabout of baptismswashings, and of laying on of hands, and ofthe resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
6:3 And this will we shall do, if God permitpermits.
6:4 For asin touchingthe case of those who werehave once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and werehave been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
6:5 and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,
6:6 and then fellhave fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again untoto repentance;, seeingsince they again crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put himHim to an open shame.
6:7 For theground landthat whichdrinks hath drunk the rain thatwhich comethoften oftfalls upon it, and bringethbrings forth herbsvegetation meetuseful forto themthose for whose sake it is also tilled, receivethreceives a blessing from God:;
6:8 but if it bearethyields thorns and thistles, it is rejectedworthless and nighclose untoto abeing curse;cursed, whoseand endit isends toup bebeing burned.
6:9 But, beloved, we are persuadedconvinced of better things ofconcerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thusare speak:speaking in this way.
6:10 forFor God is not unrighteousunjust so as to forget your work and the love which yeyou showedhave shown toward hisHis name, in thathaving ye ministered untoand thein saints,still andministering stillto dothe ministersaints.
6:11 And we desire that each one of you may show the same diligence untoso as to realize the fulnessfull assurance of hope evenuntil to the end:,
6:12 that yeyou bemay not be sluggish, but imitators of themthose who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
6:13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, since heHe could swear by noneno one greater, heHe swareswore by himselfHimself,
6:14 saying, Surely blessing I will surely bless theeyou, and multiplying I will surely multiply theeyou.
6:15 And thus, having patiently enduredwaited, he obtained the promise.
6:16 For men swear by theone greater: than themselves, and inwith everythem disputean ofoath theirsgiven theas oathconfirmation is finalan forend confirmationof every dispute.
6:17 WhereinIn the same way God, beingdesiring mindedeven more to show moreto abundantly unto the heirs of the promise the immutabilityunchangeableness of hisHis counselpurpose, interposed with an oath;,
6:18 in order that by two immutableunchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge toin laylaying hold of the hope set before us:.
6:19 whichThis hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and stedfaststeadfast and enteringone into that which isenters within the veil;,
6:20 whitherwhere Jesus has entered as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forforever everaccording afterto the order of Melchizedek.
7:1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of Godthe Most High God, who met Abraham as he was returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
7:2 to whom also Abraham dividedapportioned a tenth part of all beingthe spoils, was first of all, by interpretationthe translation of his name, Kingking of righteousness, and then also Kingking of Salem, which is, Kingking of peace;.
7:3 withoutWithout father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God, abidethhe abides a priest continuallyperpetually.
7:4 Now considerobserve how great this man was, untoto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chiefchoicest spoils.
7:5 And theythose indeed of the sons of Levi thatwho receive the priests office have commandment toin takethe tithesLaw ofto thecollect peoplea accordingtenth tofrom the lawpeople, that is, offrom their brethren, thoughalthough these haveare comedescended outfrom of the loins of Abraham:.
7:6 butBut hethe one whose genealogy is not countedtraced from them hathcollected takena tithestenth offrom Abraham, and hath blessed himthe thatone hathwho had the promises.
7:7 But without any dispute the lesslesser is blessed ofby the bettergreater.
7:8 And herein menthis thatcase diemortal men receive tithes;, but therein that case one receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he livethlives on.
7:9 And, so to sayspeak, through Abraham even Levi, who receivethreceived tithes, hath paid tithes;,
7:10 for he was yetstill in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
7:11 Now if thereperfection was perfection through the Levitical priesthood for underon the basis of it hath the people received the lawLaw, what further need was there thatfor another priest shouldto arise afteraccording to the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckoneddesignated afteraccording to the order of Aaron?
7:12 For when the priesthood beingis changed, thereof isnecessity madethere oftakes necessityplace a change also of thelaw lawalso.
7:13 For hethe ofone concerning whom these things are saidspoken belongethbelongs to another tribe, from which no manone hathhas givenofficiated attendance at the altar.
7:14 For it is evident that our Lord hathwas sprungdescended outfrom of Judah;, asa tribe with reference to which tribe Moses spakespoke nothing concerning priests.
7:15 And whatthis weis sayclearer isstill, yetif moreanother abundantlypriest evident,arises ifaccording afterto the likeness of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest,
7:16 who hathhas beenbecome made,such not afteron the lawbasis of a carnallaw commandmentof physical requirement, but afteraccording to the power of an endlessindestructible life:.
7:17 forFor it is witnessed of himHim, Thou art a priest forforever everAccording Afterto the order of Melchizedek.
7:18 For, on the one hand, there is a disannullingsetting aside of a foregoingformer commandment because of its weakness and unprofitablenessuselessness
7:19 for the lawLaw made nothing perfect, and on the other hand there is a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nighnear untoto God.
7:20 And inasmuch as it iswas not without the taking of an oath
7:21 for they indeed havebecame been made priests without an oath;, but heHe with an oath bythrough himthe thatOne saithwho ofsaid himto Him, The Lord swarehas andsworn And will not repentchange himselfHis mind, Thou art a priest forforever ever;
7:22 by so much the more also hath Jesus has become the suretyguarantee of a better covenant.
7:23 And theythe indeedformer havepriests, beenon madethe priestsone manyhand, existed in numbergreater numbers, because thatthey were prevented by death they are hindered from continuing:,
7:24 but heHe, on the other hand, because heHe abidethabides for everforever, hathholds hisHis priesthood unchangeablepermanently.
7:25 WhereforeHence, also, heHe is able to save toforever thethose uttermostwho them that draw near untoto God through himHim, seeingsince heHe everalways livethlives to make intercession for them.
7:26 For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest became us, holy, guilelessinnocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and madeexalted higherabove than the heavens;
7:27 who needethdoes not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for hisHis own sins, and then for the sins of the people:, forbecause this heHe did once for all, when heHe offered up himselfHimself.
7:28 For the lawLaw appointethappoints men as high priests, havingwho infirmity;are weak, but the word of the oath, which wascame after the lawLaw, appointethappoints a Son, perfectedmade forperfect evermoreforever.
8:1 Now in the thingsmain whichpoint wein arewhat sayinghas thebeen chiefsaid point is this: Wewe have such a high priest, who sathas downtaken onHis seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
8:2 a minister ofin the sanctuary, and ofin the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.
8:3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices:; whereforehence it is necessary that this high priest also have somewhatsomething to offer.
8:4 Now if heHe were on earth, heHe would not be a priest at all, seeingsince there are those who offer the gifts according to the lawLaw;
8:5 who serve that which is a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, evenjust as Moses iswas warned ofby God when he iswas about to makeerect the tabernacle:; for, See, saithHe hesays, that thouyou make all things according to the pattern thatwhich was showedshown theeyou inon the mountmountain.
8:6 But now hathHe hehas obtained a ministry the more excellent ministry, by soas much as heHe is also the mediator of a better covenant, which hathhas been enacted uponon better promises.
8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, thenthere would no place have been no occasion sought for a second.
8:8 For finding fault with them, heHe saithsays, Behold, the days comeare coming, saithsays the Lord, ThatWhen I will makeeffect a new covenant withWith the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;
8:9 Not accordinglike to the covenant thatwhich I made with their fathers InOn the day thatwhen I took them by the hand toTo lead them forth out of the land of Egypt; For they continueddid not continue in myMy covenant, And I regardeddid not care for them not, saithsays the Lord.
8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, saithsays the Lord;: I will put myMy laws into their mindminds, And onI theirwill heartwrite alsothem willupon Itheir writehearts. them: And I will be totheir them a God, And they shall be toMy me a people:.
8:11 And they shall not teach everyeveryone man his fellow citizen, And everyeveryone man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:, For all shall know meMe, From the least to the greatest of them.
8:12 For I will be merciful to their iniquities, And theirI sins will I remember their sins no more.
8:13 InWhen thatHe he saithsaid, A new covenant, heHe hathhas made the first oldobsolete. But thatwhatever which is becoming oldobsolete and waxethgrowing agedold is nighready untoto vanishing awaydisappear.
9:1 Now even the first covenant had ordinancesregulations of divine service,worship and itsthe sanctuary,earthly a sanctuary of this world.
9:2 For there was a tabernacle prepared, the firstouter one, whereinin which were the candlestick,lampstand and the table, and the showbreadsacred bread; whichthis is called the Holyholy place.
9:3 And afterbehind the second veil, thethere was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of holies;Holies,
9:4 having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaidcovered roundon aboutall sides with gold, whereinin which was a golden potjar holding the manna, and Aarons rod thatwhich budded, and the tables of the covenant;.
9:5 andAnd above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of whichthese things we cannot now speak severallyin detail.
9:6 Now when these things havinghave been thus prepared, the priests goare in continually intoentering the firstouter tabernacle, accomplishingperforming the services;divine worship,
9:7 but into the second only the high priest aloneenters, once ina the year, not without taking blood, which he offerethoffers for himself, and for the errorssins of the people: committed in ignorance.
9:8 theThe Holy Spirit thisis signifying this, that the way into the holy place hathhas not yet been made manifestdisclosed, while the firstouter tabernacle is yetstill standing;,
9:9 which is a figuresymbol for the time present; accordingtime. toAccordingly which are offered both gifts and sacrifices thatare cannot,offered aswhich touchingcannot the conscience, make the worshipperworshiper perfect in conscience,
9:10 beingsince they relate only withto meatsfood and drinksdrink and diversvarious washings, carnalregulations ordinances,for the body imposed until a time of reformation.
9:11 But when Christ havingappeared comeas a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,;
9:12 norand yetnot through the blood of goats and calves, but through hisHis own blood, He entered inthe holy place once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.
9:13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling themthose thatwho have been defiled, sanctify untofor the cleannesscleansing of the flesh:,
9:14 how much more shallwill the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himselfHimself without blemish untoto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
9:15 And for this causereason heHe is the mediator of a new covenant, in order that since a death havinghas taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, theythose thatwho have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
9:16 For where a testamentcovenant is, there must of necessity be the death of himthe thatone who made it.
9:17 For a testamentcovenant is ofvalid forceonly wherewhen theremen hathare beendead, death: for it dothis never availin force while hethe thatone who made it livethlives.
9:18 WhereforeTherefore even the first covenant hathwas not beeninaugurated dedicated without blood.
9:19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses untoto all the people according to the lawLaw, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
9:20 saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded to you ward.
9:21 MoreoverAnd in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry he sprinkled in like manner with the blood.
9:22 And according to the lawLaw, Ione may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apartwithout from shedding of blood there is no remissionforgiveness.
9:23 ItTherefore it was necessary thereforefor that the copies of the things in the heavens shouldto be cleansed with these;, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
9:24 For Christ entereddid not intoenter a holy place made with hands, likea inmere patterncopy toof the true; one, but into heaven itself, now to appear beforein the facepresence of God for us:;
9:25 nor yetwas it that heHe should offer himselfHimself often, as the high priest enterethenters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own;.
9:26 elseOtherwise, mustHe hewould often have sufferedneeded to suffer often since the foundation of the world:; but now once at the endconsummation of the ages hathHe hehas been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himselfHimself.
9:27 And inasmuch as it is appointed untofor men once to die, once and after this comethcomes judgment;,
9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apartfor fromsalvation without reference to sin, to themthose thatwho waiteagerly forawait him, unto salvationHim.
10:1 For the lawLaw, havingsince it has only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very imageform of the things, can never withby the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect themthose thatwho draw nighnear.
10:2 ElseOtherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered?, because the worshippersworshipers, having once been once cleansed, would no longer have had no more consciousness of sins.?
10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrancereminder made of sins year by year.
10:4 For it is impossible thatfor the blood of bulls and goats shouldto take away sins.
10:5 WhereforeTherefore, when heHe comethcomes into the world, heHe saithsays, Sacrifice and offering thouThou wouldesthast not desired, But a body didstThou thouhast prepareprepared for meMe;
10:6 In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thouThou hadsthast taken no pleasure:.
10:7 Then I said I, LoBehold, I amhave come In the roll of the book it is written of meMe To do thyThy will, O God.
10:8 SayingAfter saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thouThou wouldesthast not desired, neithernor hadsthast Thou taken pleasure thereinin thethem which are offered according to the lawLaw,
10:9 then hathHe he said, LoBehold, I amhave come to do thyThy will. He takethtakes away the first, thatin heorder mayto establish the second.
10:10 By whichthis will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
10:11 And every priest indeedstands standethdaily day by day ministering and offering oftentimestime after time the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins:;
10:12 but heHe, whenhaving he had offered one sacrifice for sins for everall time, sat down onat the right hand of God;,
10:13 henceforthwaiting expectingfrom tillthat histime onward until His enemies be made thea footstool offor hisHis feet.
10:14 For by one offering heHe hathhas perfected for everall themtime thatthose who are sanctified.
10:15 And the Holy Spirit also bearethbears witness to us; for after he hath saidsaying,
10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saithsays the Lord: I will put myMy laws onupon their heart, And upon their mind alsoI will I write them;, He then saith hesays,
10:17 And their sins and their iniquitieslawless willdeeds I will remember no more.
10:18 Now where remissionthere is forgiveness of these isthings, there is no morelonger any offering for sin.
10:19 HavingSince therefore, brethren, boldnesswe have confidence to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
10:20 by thea new and living way which heHe dedicatedinaugurated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, hisHis flesh;,
10:21 and havingsince we have a great priest over the house of God;,
10:22 let us draw near with a truesincere heart in fulnessfull assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience: and having our bodybodies washed with pure water,.

10:26 For if we singo wilfullyon aftersinning thatwillfully weafter havereceiving received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no morelonger remains a sacrifice for sins,

10:34 For yeyou bothshowed hadsympathy compassionto onthe them that were in bondsprisoners, and tookaccepted joyfully the spoilingseizure of your possessionsproperty, knowing that yeyou have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one.
10:35 CastTherefore, do not throw away therefore your boldnessconfidence, which hathhas a great recompense of reward.

10:38 But myMy righteous one shall live by faith:; And if he shrinkshrinks back, myMy soul hathhas no pleasure in him.
10:39 But we are not of themthose thatwho shrink back untoto perdition;destruction, but of themthose thatwho have faith untoto the savingpreserving of the soul.

11:13 TheseAll allthese died in faith, notwithout havingreceiving received the promises, but having seen them and greetedhaving welcomed them from afara distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrimsexiles on the earth.
11:14 For theythose thatwho say such things make it manifestclear that they are seeking after a country of their own.
11:15 And indeed if indeed they had been mindfulthinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return.
11:16 But nowas it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly: whereforeone. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for heHe hathhas prepared a city for them a city.
11:17 By faith Abraham, beingwhen triedhe was tested, offered up Isaac:; yea,and he thatwho had gladly received the promises was offering up his only begotten son;
11:18 evenit was he to whom it was said, In Isaac shallyour thydescendants seedshall be called:.

11:33 who throughby faith subduedconquered kingdoms, wroughtperformed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, stoppedshut the mouths of lions,
11:34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, waxedbecame mighty in war, turnedput toforeign flight armies ofto aliensflight.
11:35 Women received back their dead by a resurrection:; and others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance;release, in order that they might obtain a better resurrection:;

11:37 theyThey were stoned, they were sawn asunderin two, they were tempted, they were slainput to death with the sword:; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins;, being destitute, afflicted, ill treated
11:38 men of whom the world was not worthy, wandering in deserts and mountains and caves, and the holes ofin the earthground.
11:39 And all these all, having hadgained witnessapproval borne to them through their faith, receiveddid not thereceive promisewhat was promised,
11:40 because God havinghad provided somesomething better thingfor concerning us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
12:1 Therefore let us also, seeingsince we arehave compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every weightencumbrance, and the sin which doth so easily besetentangles us, and let us run with patienceendurance the race that is set before us,
12:2 lookingfixing untoour eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before himHim endured the cross, despising the shame, and hathhas sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

12:7 It is for chasteningdiscipline that yeyou endure; God dealethdeals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chastenethdoes not discipline?
12:8 But if yeyou are without chasteningdiscipline, whereofof which all have beenbecome made partakers, then you are yeillegitimate bastards,children and not sons.
12:9 Furthermore, we had theearthly fathers of our flesh to chastendiscipline us, and we gaverespected them; reverence: shall we not much rather be insubject subjectionto unto the Father of spirits, and live?
12:10 For they indeeddisciplined us for a fewshort daystime chastened us as seemed goodbest to them;, but heHe disciplines us for our profitgood, that we may beshare partakersHis of his holiness.
12:11 All chasteningdiscipline seemeth for the presentmoment seems not to be notjoyful, joyous but grievoussorrowful; yet afterwardto itthose yieldethwho peaceablehave fruitbeen untotrained themby thatit, haveafterwards beenit exercisedyields thereby,the evenpeaceful the fruit of righteousness.
12:12 WhereforeTherefore, liftstrengthen up the hands that hangare down,weak and the palsiedknees knees;that are feeble,
12:13 and make straight paths for your feet, thatso that the limb which is lame bemay not turnedbe put out of the wayjoint, but rather be healed.

12:16 lestthat there be anyno fornicator,immoral or profanegodless person, aslike Esau, who forsold onehis messown ofbirthright meatfor solda hissingle own birthrightmeal.
12:17 For yeyou know that even afterwards, when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected;, for he found no place for a change of mind in his fatherrepentance, though he sought for it diligently with tears.
12:18 For yeyou arehave not come untoto a mountmountain that mightmay be touched, and thatto burneda withblazing fire, and untoto blackness,darkness and darkness,gloom and tempestwhirlwind,
12:19 and to the soundblast of a trumpet, and the voicesound of words; which voicesound theywas such that those who heard entreatedbegged that no further word more should be spoken untoto them;.
12:20 forFor they could not endurebear thatthe which was enjoinedcommand, If even a beast touchtouches the mountain, it shallwill be stoned;.

12:24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, ofwhich sprinklingspeaks that speaketh better than thatthe blood of Abel.
12:25 See to it that yeyou refusedo not himrefuse thatHim speakethwho is speaking. For if theythose escapeddid not escape when they refused him thatwho warned them on earth, much moreless shall not we escape who turn away from himHim thatwho warnethwarns from heaven:.
12:26 whoseAnd His voice then shook the earth: then, but now heHe hathhas promised, saying, Yet once more will I makewill toshake tremble not only the earth only, but also the heaven.
12:27 And this wordexpression, Yet once more, signifiethdenotes the removing of those things thatwhich arecan be shaken, as of created things, thatin haveorder been made, that those things which arecannot notbe shaken may remain.
12:28 WhereforeTherefore, receivingsince we receive a kingdom thatwhich cannot be shaken, let us haveshow gracegratitude, wherebyby which we may offer serviceto wellGod pleasingan toacceptable Godservice with reverence and awe:;
13:2 ForgetDo not neglect to show lovehospitality untoto strangers:, for therebyby this some have entertained angels unawareswithout knowing it.
13:3 Remember themthe thatprisoners, areas though in bonds,prison as bound with them;, themand thatthose who are ill treated, assince beingyou yourselves also are in the body.

13:9 BeDo not be carried away by diversvaried and strange teachings:; for it is good thatfor the heart to be establishedstrengthened by grace;, not by meatsfoods, whereinthrough theywhich thatthose who were thus occupied themselves were not profitedbenefited.
13:10 We have an altar, whereoffrom theywhich those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat that serve the tabernacle.
13:11 For the bodies of those beastsanimals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned withoutoutside the camp.
13:12 WhereforeTherefore Jesus also, that heHe might sanctify the people through hisHis own blood, suffered withoutoutside the gate.
13:13 LetHence, let us therefore go forthout untoto himHim withoutoutside the camp, bearing hisHis reproach.
13:14 For here we havedo not herehave ana abidinglasting city, but we seekare afterseeking the city which is to come.
13:15 Through himHim then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips whichthat makegive confessionthanks to hisHis name.
