1:9	AndThen God said, Let the waters underbelow the heavens be gathered togetherinto unto one place, and let the dry land appear:; and it was so.
1:10	And God called the dry land Earth;earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called heseas; Seas: and God saw that it was good.
1:11	AndThen God said, Let the earth putsprout forth grassvegetation, herbsplants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, whereinwith isseed thein seed thereofthem, uponon the earth:; and it was so.
1:12	And the earth brought forth grassvegetation, herbsplants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, whereinwith isseed thein seed thereofthem, after their kind:; and God saw that it was good.
1:14	AndThen God said, Let there be lights in the firmamentexpanse of heaventhe heavens to divideseparate the day from the night;, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:;
1:15	and let them be for lights in the firmamentexpanse of heaventhe heavens to give light uponon the earth:; and it was so.
1:16	And God made the two great lights;, the greater light to rulegovern the day, and the lesser light to rulegovern the night:; heHe made the stars also.
1:17	And God setplaced them in the firmamentexpanse of heaventhe heavens to give light uponon the earth,
1:18	and to rulegovern over the day and over the night, and to divideseparate the light from the darkness:; and God saw that it was good.
1:20	AndThen God said, Let the waters swarmteem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmamentexpanse of heaventhe heavens.
1:21	And God created the great sea monsters, and every living creature that movethmoves, wherewithwith which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind:; and God saw that it was good.
1:22	And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.
1:24	AndThen God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind,: cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind:; and it was so.
1:25	And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creepethcreeps uponon the ground after its kind:; and God saw that it was good.
1:26	AndThen God said, Let usUs make man in ourOur image, afteraccording ourto Our likeness:; and let them haverule dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens,sky and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepethcreeps uponon the earth.
1:27	And God created man in hisHis own image, in the image of God He created he him; male and female He created he them.
1:28	And God blessed them:; and God said untoto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenishfill the earth, and subdue it; and haverule dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavenssky, and over every living thing that movethmoves uponon the earth.
1:29	AndThen God said, Behold, I have given you every herbplant yielding seed, whichthat is uponon the facesurface of all the earth, and every tree, in which ishas the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be food for food:you;
1:30	and to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens,sky and to everythingevery thing that creepethmoves uponon the earth, whereinwhich therehas is life, I have given every green herbplant for food:; and it was so.
1:31	And God saw everythingall that heHe had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
2:1	AndThus the heavens and the earth were finishedcompleted, and all thetheir host of themhosts.
2:2	And onby the seventh day God finishedcompleted hisHis work which heHe had madedone; and heHe rested on the seventh day from all hisHis work which heHe had madedone.
2:3	AndThen God blessed the seventh day, and hallowedsanctified it;, because that in it heHe rested from all hisHis work which God had created and made.
2:4	TheseThis areis the generationsaccount of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Jehovahthe Lord God made earth and heaven.
2:5	AndNow no plantshrub of the field was yet in the earth, and no herbplant of the field had yet sprungsprouted, up; for Jehovahthe Lord God had not causedsent it to rain upon the earth:; and there was notno a man to tillcultivate the ground;.
2:6	butBut therea wentmist upused ato mistrise from the earth, and wateredwater the whole facesurface of the ground.
2:7	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord God formed man of the dust offrom the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soulbeing.
2:8	And Jehovahthe Lord God planted a garden eastwardtoward the east, in Eden; and there heHe putplaced the man whom heHe had formed.
2:9	And out of the ground madethe JehovahLord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasantpleasing to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
2:10	AndNow a river wentflowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from thencethere it wasdivided parted, and became four headsrivers.
2:11	The name of the first is Pishon:; that is it whichflows compassetharound the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;.
2:12	andAnd the gold of that land is good:; therethe is bdellium and the onyx stone are there.
2:13	And the name of the second river is Gihon:; the same is it thatflows compassetharound the whole land of Cush.
2:14	And the name of the third river is Hiddekel:Tigris; that is it whichflows goetheast in front of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
2:15	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dresscultivate it and to keep it.
2:16	And Jehovahthe Lord God commanded the man, saying, OfFrom everyany tree of the garden thouyou mayestmay eat freely eat:;
2:17	but offrom the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thouyou shaltshall not eat, of it: for in the day that thouyou eatesteat thereoffrom thouit shaltyou shall surely die.
2:18	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord God said, It is not good thatfor the man shouldto be alone; I will make him a helphelper meetsuitable for him.
2:19	And out of the ground Jehovahthe Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every bird of the heavens;sky, and brought them untoto the man to see what he would call them:; and whatsoeverwhatever the man called everya living creature, that was theits name thereof.
2:20	And the man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the heavenssky, and to every beast of the field;, but for manAdam there was not found a helphelper meetsuitable for him.
2:21	AndSo Jehovahthe Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; andthen heHe took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh insteadat thereof:that place.
2:22	andAnd the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib, which JehovahHe God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her untoto the man.
2:23	And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, andAnd flesh of my flesh:; sheShe shall be called Woman, becauseBecause she was taken out of Man.
2:24	ThereforeFor shallthis cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave untoto his wife:; and they shall bebecome one flesh.
2:25	And they were both naked, the man and his wife, were both naked and were not ashamed.
3:1	Now the serpent was more subtlecrafty than any beast of the field which Jehovahthe Lord God had made. And he said untoto the woman, YeaIndeed, hathhas God said, YeYou shall not eat offrom any tree of the garden ?
3:2	And the woman said untoto the serpent, OfFrom the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat:;
3:3	but offrom the fruit of the tree which is in the midstmiddle of the garden, God hathhas said, YeYou shall not eat offrom it, neitheror shall ye touch it, lest yeyou die.
3:4	And the serpent said untoto the woman, YeYou surely shall not surely die:!
3:5	forFor God dothknows know that in the day yeyou eat thereof,from thenit your eyes shallwill be opened, and yeyou shallwill be aslike God, knowing good and evil.
3:6	AndWhen when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was todesirable be desired to make one wise, she took offrom theits fruit thereof, and did eatate; and she gave also untoto her husband with her, and he did eatate.
3:7	AndThen the eyes of both of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves apronsloin coverings.
3:8	And they heard the voicesound of Jehovahthe Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day:, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovahthe Lord God amongstamong the trees of the garden.
3:9	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord God called untoto the man, and said untoto him, Where artare thouyou?
3:10	And he said, I heard thythe voicesound of Thee in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; andso I hid myself.
3:11	And heHe said, Who told theeyou that thouyou wastwere naked? HastHave thouyou eaten offrom the tree, whereofof which I commanded theeyou thatnot thouto shouldest not eat?
3:12	And the man said, The woman whom thouThou gavest to be with me, she gave me offrom the tree, and I did eatate.
3:13	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord God said untoto the woman, What is this thouyou hasthave done? And the woman said, The serpent beguileddeceived me, and I did eatate.
3:14	And Jehovahthe Lord God said untoto the serpent, Because thouyou hasthave done this, cursedCursed artare thouyou abovemore than all cattle, andAnd abovemore than every beast of the field; uponOn thyyour belly shaltshall thouyou go, andAnd dust shaltshall thouyou eat allAll the days of thyyour life:;
3:15	andAnd I will put enmity betweenBetween theeyou and the woman, andAnd between thyyour seed and her seed:; heHe shall bruise thyyou on the head, andAnd thouyou shaltshall bruise hishim on the heel.
3:16	UntoTo the woman heHe said, I will greatly multiply thyYour pain andin thychildbirth, conception;In in pain thouyou shaltshall bring forth children; andYet thyyour desire shall be tofor thyyour husband, andAnd he shall rule over theeyou.
3:17	AndThen untoto Adam heHe said, Because thouyou hasthave hearkenedlistened untoto the voice of thyyour wife, and hasthave eaten offrom the tree, ofabout which I commanded theeyou, saying, ThouYou shaltshall not eat offrom it:; cursedCursed is the ground forbecause thyof sakeyou; inIn toil shaltyou thoushall eat of it allAll the days of thyyour life;.
3:18	Both thorns also and thistles shall it bringshall forthgrow tofor theeyou; andAnd thouyou shaltshall eat the herbplants of the field;
3:19	inBy the sweat of thyyour face shaltYou thoushall eat bread, tillTill thouyou return untoto the ground;, forBecause outfrom of it wastyou thouwere taken:; forFor dustyou thouare artdust, andAnd untoto dust shaltyou thoushall return.
3:20	AndNow the man called his wifes name Eve;, because she was the mother of all the living.
3:21	And Jehovahthe Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and for his wife coats of skins, and clothed them.
3:22	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord God said, Behold, the man ishas become aslike one of usUs, toknowing know good and evil; and now, lest he putstretch forthout his hand, and take also offrom the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever—forever
3:23	therefore Jehovahthe Lord God sent him forthout from the garden of Eden, to tillcultivate the ground from whencewhich he was taken.
3:24	So heHe drove out the man out; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the Cherubimcherubim, and the flameflaming of a sword which turned every waydirection, to keepguard the way ofto the tree of life.
4:1	AndNow the man knewhad Everelations with his wife; Eve, and she conceived, and baregave birth to Cain, and she said, I have gotten a manmanchild with the help of Jehovahthe Lord.
4:2	And again, she baregave birth to his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheepflocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
4:3	AndSo init processcame ofabout timein itthe camecourse toof pass,time that Cain brought an offering to the Lord of the fruit of the ground an offering unto Jehovah.
4:4	And Abel, heon his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of thetheir fat thereofportions. And Jehovahthe Lord had respectregard untofor Abel and tofor his offering:;
4:5	but untofor Cain and tofor his offering heHe had notno respectregard. AndSo Cain wasbecame very wroth,angry and his countenance fell.
4:6	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Cain, Why artare thouyou wrothangry? andAnd why ishas thyyour countenance fallen?
4:7	If thouyou doestdo well, shallwill it not your countenance be lifted up? andAnd if thouyou doestdo not do well, sin couchethis crouching at the door; and untoits theedesire shallis befor itsyou, desire; but doyou thoumust rulemaster over it.
4:8	And Cain told Abel his brother. And it came toabout pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slewkilled him.
4:9	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Cain, Where is Abel thyyour brother? And he said, I knowdo not: amknow. Am I my brothers keeper?
4:10	And heHe said, What hasthave thouyou done? theThe voice of thyyour brothers blood criethis untocrying meto Me from the ground.
4:11	And now cursedyou artare thoucursed from the ground, which hathhas opened its mouth to receive thyyour brothers blood from thyyour hand;.
4:12	whenWhen thouyou tillestcultivate the ground, it shall notno henceforthlonger yield untoits theestrength itsto strengthyou; you shall be a fugitivevagrant and a wanderer shalton thou be in the earth.
4:13	And Cain said untoto Jehovahthe Lord, My punishment is greatertoo thangreat Ito can bear.!
4:14	Behold, thouThou hast driven me out this day from the face of the ground; and from thyThy face I shall I be hid;hidden, and I shall be a fugitivevagrant and a wanderer inon the earth;, and it will come toabout pass, that whosoeverwhoever findethfinds me will slaykill me.
4:15	AndSo Jehovahthe Lord said untoto him, Therefore whosoeverwhoever slayethkills Cain, vengeance shallwill be taken on him sevenfold. And Jehovahthe Lord appointed a sign for Cain, lest anyanyone finding him should smiteslay him.
4:16	AndThen Cain went out from the presence of Jehovahthe Lord, and dweltsettled in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
4:17	And Cain knewhad relations with his wife; and she conceived, and baregave birth to Enoch:; and he buildedbuilt a city, and called the name of the city Enoch, after the name of his son, Enoch.
4:18	AndNow untoto Enoch was born Irad:; and Irad begatbecame the father of Mehujael; and Mehujael begatbecame the father of Methushael; and Methushael begatbecame the father of Lamech.
4:19	And Lamech took untoto himhimself two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other, Zillah.
4:20	And Adah baregave birth to Jabal:; he was the father of suchthose aswho dwell in tents and have cattlelivestock.
4:21	And his brothers name was Jubal:; he was the father of all suchthose aswho handleplay the harplyre and pipe.
4:22	AndAs for Zillah, she also baregave birth to Tubal cain, the forger of everyall cuttingimplements instrument of brassbronze and iron:; and the sister of Tubal cain was Naamah.
4:23	And Lamech said untoto his wives:, Adah and Zillah, hearListen to my voice;, YeYou wives of Lamech, hearkenGive untoheed to my speech:, For I have slainkilled a man for wounding me,; And a youngboy man for bruisingstriking me:;
4:24	If Cain shallis be avenged sevenfold, TrulyThen Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
4:25	And Adam knewhad relations with his wife again; and she baregave birth to a son, and callednamed hishim name Seth:, Forfor, she said she, God hathhas appointed me another seedoffspring insteadin place of Abel; for Cain slewkilled him.
4:26	And to Seth, to him also therea son was born a son; and he called his name Enosh. Then men began men to call upon the name of Jehovahthe Lord.
5:1	This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day thatwhen God created man, He made him in the likeness of God made he him;.
5:2	He created them male and female created he them, and He blessed them, and callednamed theirthem nameMan Adam, in the day when they were created.
5:3	AndWhen Adam had lived aone hundred and thirty years, andhe begatbecame the father of a son in his own likeness, afteraccording to his image;, and callednamed hishim name Seth:.
5:4	andThen the days of Adam after he begatbecame the father of Seth were eight hundred years:, and he begathad other sons and daughters.
5:5	AndSo all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years:, and he died.
5:6	And Seth lived aone hundred and five years, and begatbecame the father of Enosh:.
5:7	andThen Seth lived after he begat Enosh eight hundred and seven years after he became the father of Enosh, and begathe had other sons and daughters:.
5:8	andSo all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years:, and he died.
5:9	And Enosh lived ninety years, and begatbecame the father of Kenan.
5:10	andThen Enosh lived after he begat Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years after he became the father of Kenan, and begathe had other sons and daughters:.
5:11	andSo all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years:, and he died.
5:12	And Kenan lived seventy years, and begatbecame the father of Mahalalel:.
5:13	andThen Kenan lived after he begat Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years after he became the father of Mahalalel, and begathe had other sons and daughters:.
5:14	andSo all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years:, and he died.
5:15	And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, and begatbecame the father of Jared:.
5:16	andThen Mahalalel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years after he became the father of Jared, and begathe had other sons and daughters:.
5:17	andSo all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety and five years:, and he died.
5:18	And Jared lived aone hundred and sixty and two years, and begatbecame the father of Enoch:.

5:24	andAnd Enoch walked with God:; and he was not;, for God took him.
5:25	And Methuselah lived aone hundred and eighty and seven years, and begatbecame the father of Lamech:.
5:26	andThen Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty two years after he begatbecame Lamechthe sevenfather hundredof eightyLamech, and twohe years,had andother begat sons and daughters:.
5:27	andSo all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty and nine years:, and he died.
5:28	And Lamech lived aone hundred and eighty and two years, and begatbecame the father of a son:.
5:29	andNow he called his name Noah, saying, This sameone shall comfortgive us inrest from our work and infrom the toil of our hands, whicharising comethfrom because of the ground which Jehovahthe hathLord has cursed.
5:30	AndThen Lamech lived afterfive hehundred begatand Noahninety five hundredyears ninetyafter andhe fivebecame yearsthe father of Noah, and begathe had other sons and daughters:.
5:31	AndSo all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy and seven years:, and he died.
5:32	And Noah was five hundred years old:, and Noah begatbecame the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
6:1	AndNow it came to passabout, when men began to multiply on the face of the groundland, and daughters were born untoto them,
6:2	that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men that they were fairbeautiful; and they took them wives offor allthemselves, thatwhomever they chose.
6:3	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said, My Spirit shall not strive with man for everforever, forbecause that he also is flesh:; yetnevertheless shall his days shall be aone hundred and twenty years.
6:4	The Nephilim were inon the earth in those days, and also after thatafterward, when the sons of God came in untoto the daughters of men, and they barebore children to them:. theThose same were the mighty men thatwho were of old, the men of renown.
6:5	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great inon the earth, and that every imaginationintent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6:6	And itthe repentedLord Jehovahwas sorry that heHe had made man on the earth, and itHe was grieved himin atHis his heart.
6:7	And Jehovahthe Lord said, I will destroyblot out man whom I have created from the face of the ground;land, bothfrom man, andto beast,animals andto creeping things, and to birds of the heavenssky; for itI repentetham mesorry that I have made them.
6:8	But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovahthe Lord.
6:9	These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, andblameless perfect in his generations:time; Noah walked with God.
6:10	And Noah begatbecame the father of three sons,: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
6:11	AndNow the earth was corrupt beforein the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence.
6:12	And God sawlooked on the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
6:13	AndThen God said untoto Noah, The end of all flesh ishas come before meMe; for the earth is filled with violence throughbecause of them; and, behold, I willam about to destroy them with the earth.
6:14	Make theefor yourself an ark of gopher wood; roomsyou shaltshall thou make in the ark with rooms, and shaltshall pitchcover it withininside and withoutout with pitch.
6:15	And this is how thouyou shaltshall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, theits breadth of it fifty cubits, and theits height of it thirty cubits.
6:16	AYou lightshall shaltmake thoua makewindow tofor the ark, and finish it to a cubit shaltfrom thouthe finish it upwardtop; and set the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereofof it; you shall make it with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make itdecks.
6:17	And Ibehold, beholdI, even I doam bringbringing the flood of waterswater upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, whereinin which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is inon the earth shall dieperish.
6:18	But I will establish myMy covenant with theeyou; and thouyou shaltshall comeenter into the ark, thou,you and thyyour sons, and thyyour wife, and thyyour sons wives with theeyou.
6:19	And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sortkind shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with theeyou; they shall be male and female.
6:20	Of the birds after their kind, and of the cattleanimals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sortkind shall come untoto thee,you to keep them alive.
6:21	And as for you, take thoufor untoyourself theesome of all food thatwhich is eatenedible, and gather it to theeyourself; and it shall be for food for thee,you and for them.
6:22	Thus Noah did Noah; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did he.
7:1	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Noah, ComeEnter thouthe ark, you and all thyyour house into the arkhousehold; for theeyou havealone I have seen to be righteous before meMe in this generationtime.
7:2	OfYou everyshall cleantake beastwith thouyou shaltof takeevery toclean theeanimal sevenby and sevensevens, thea male and his female; and of the beastsanimals that are not clean two, thea male and his female:;
7:3	also of the birds also of the heavenssky, sevenby and sevensevens, male and female, to keep seedoffspring alive uponon the face of all the earth.
7:4	For yetafter seven more days, and I will causesend it to rain uponon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will Iblot destroyout from off the face of the groundland every living thing that I have made.
7:5	And Noah did according untoto all that Jehovahthe Lord had commanded him.
7:6	AndNow Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waterswater wascame upon the earth.
7:7	AndThen Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons wives with him, intoentered the ark, because of the waterswater of the flood.
7:8	Of clean beasts,animals and ofanimals beasts that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creepethcreeps uponon the ground,
7:9	there went ininto twothe andark twoto unto Noah intoby the arktwos, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
7:10	And it came toabout pass after the seven days, that the waterswater of the flood werecame upon the earth.
7:11	In the six hundredth year of Noahs life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep brokenburst upopen, and the windowsfloodgates of heaventhe sky were opened.
7:12	And the rain wasfell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
7:13	InOn the selfsamevery same day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noahs wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, intoentered the ark;,
7:14	they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepethcreeps uponon the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, everyall birdsorts of every sortbirds.
7:15	AndSo they went in unto Noah into the ark to Noah, twoby andtwos two of all flesh whereinin iswhich was the breath of life.
7:16	And theythose that went inentered, went in male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him:; and Jehovahthe shutLord closed it behind him in.
7:17	AndThen the flood wascame forty days upon the earth for forty days; and the waterswater increased, and barelifted up the ark, andso that it wasrose lifted up above the earth.
7:18	And the waterswater prevailed, and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark wentfloated uponon the facesurface of the waterswater.
7:19	And the waterswater prevailed exceedinglymore and more upon the earth;, andso that all the high mountains thateverywhere were under the wholeheavens heaven were covered.
7:20	FifteenThe cubitswater upwardprevailed didfifteen thecubits watershigher, prevail; and the mountains were covered.
7:21	And all flesh died that moved uponon the earth perished, both birds, and cattle, and beasts, and every creepingswarming thing that creepethswarms upon the earth, and everyall man:mankind;
7:22	of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.
7:23	AndThus He blotted out every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the groundland, bothfrom man, andto cattle,animals andto creeping things, and to birds of the heavens;sky, and they were destroyedblotted out from the earth:; and only Noah only was left, andtogether theywith those that were with him in the ark.
7:24	And the waterswater prevailed upon the earth aone hundred and fifty days.
8:1	AndBut God remembered Noah, and all the beasts, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark:; and God madecaused a wind to pass over the earth, and the waterswater assuaged;subsided.
8:2	Also the fountains also of the deep and the windowsfloodgates of heaventhe sky were stoppedclosed, and the rain from heaventhe sky was restrained;
8:3	and the waterswater returnedreceded steadily from off the earth, continually: and afterat the end of aone hundred and fifty days the waterswater decreased.
8:4	And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat.
8:5	And the waterswater decreased continuallysteadily until the tenth month:; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seenbecame visible.
8:6	AndThen it came toabout pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:;
8:7	and he sent forthout a raven, and it wentflew forthhere to and fro,there until the waterswater werewas dried up from off the earth.
8:8	AndThen he sent forthout a dove from him, to see if the waterswater werewas abated from off the face of the groundland;
8:9	but the dove found no restresting place for the sole of her foot, andso she returned untoto him tointo the ark; for the waterswater werewas on the facesurface of all the whole earth:. andThen he put forthout his hand, and took her, and brought her in unto him into the ark to himself.
8:10	AndSo he stayedwaited yet otheranother seven days; and again he sent forthout the dove outfrom of the ark;.
8:11	andAnd the dove came in to him attoward eventideevening; and, lobehold, in her mouthbeak anwas a freshly picked olive leaf. pluckedSo off: so Noah knew that the waterswater werewas abated from off the earth.
8:12	AndThen he stayedwaited yet otheranother seven days, and sent forthout the dove; andbut she returneddid not againreturn untoto him any moreagain.
8:13	AndNow it came toabout pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the waterswater werewas dried up from off the earth:. andThen Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the facesurface of the ground was dried up.
8:14	And in the second month, on the seventwenty andseventh twentieth day of the month, was the earth was dry.
8:15	AndThen God spakespoke untoto Noah, saying,
8:16	Go forthout fromof the ark, thou,you and thyyour wife, and thyyour sons, and thyyour sons wives with theeyou.
8:17	Bring forthout with theeyou every living thing of all flesh that is with thee of all fleshyou, both birds, and cattle,animals and every creeping thing that creepethcreeps uponon the earth;, that they may breed abundantly inon the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply uponon the earth.
8:18	AndSo Noah went forthout, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons wives with him:.
8:19	everyEvery beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatsoevereverything moveththat uponmoves on the earth, afterwent out by their families, wentfrom forth out of the ark.
8:20	AndThen Noah buildedbuilt an altar untoto Jehovahthe Lord, and took of every clean beast,animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
8:21	And Jehovahthe Lord smelled the sweetsoothing savoraroma; and Jehovahthe Lord said into his heartHimself, I will notnever again curse the ground anyon moreaccount forof mans sakeman, for that the imaginationintent of mans heart is evil from his youth; neitherand I will Inever again smitedestroy anyevery moreliving everything livingthing, as I have done.
8:22	While the earth remainethremains, seedtimeSeedtime and harvest, andAnd cold and heat, andAnd summer and winter, andAnd day and night shallShall not cease.
9:1	And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said untoto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenishfill the earth.
9:2	And the fear of you and the dreadterror of you shall be uponon every beast of the earth, and uponon every bird of the heavenssky; with alleverything wherewiththat creeps on the ground teemeth, and all the fishesfish of the sea, into your hand they are they deliveredgiven.
9:3	Every moving thing that livethis alive shall be food for you; asI thegive greenall herbto haveyou, as I givengave youthe allgreen plant.
9:4	ButOnly you shall not eat flesh with theits life thereof, whichthat is, theits blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
9:5	And surely yourI blood,will therequire blood of your lives, will I requirelifeblood; atfrom the hand of every beast I will I require it:. andAnd atfrom theevery hand of man, evenfrom at the hand of every mans brother, I will I require the life of man.
9:6	WhosoWhoever sheddethsheds mans blood, byBy man shall his blood shall be shed:, forFor in the image of God He made he man.
9:7	And as for you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bringPopulate forth abundantly in the earth, abundantly and multiply thereinin it.
9:8	AndThen God spakespoke untoto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9:9	AndNow I, behold, I Myself do establish myMy covenant with you, and with your seeddescendants after you;
9:10	and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that gocomes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.
9:11	And I will establish myMy covenant with you; neitherand shall all flesh shall never again be cut off any more by the waterswater of the flood;, neither shall there anyagain more be a flood to destroy the earth.
9:12	And God said, This is the tokensign of the covenant which I makeam making between meMe and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetualall successive generations:;
9:13	I do set myMy bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a tokensign of a covenant between meMe and the earth.
9:14	And it shall come to passabout, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud,
9:15	and I will remember myMy covenant, which is between meMe and you and every living creature of all flesh; and thenever watersagain shall nothe morewater become a flood to destroy all flesh.
9:16	AndWhen the bow shallis be in the cloud;, andthen I will look upon it, thatto I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is uponon the earth.
9:17	And God said untoto Noah, This is the tokensign of the covenant which I have established between meMe and all flesh that is uponon the earth.
9:18	AndNow the sons of Noah, thatwho wentcame forthout fromof the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth:; and Ham iswas the father of Canaan.
9:19	These three were the sons of Noah:; and offrom these was the whole earth overspreadwas populated.
9:20	AndThen Noah began tofarming be a husbandman, and planted a vineyard:.
9:21	andAnd he drank of the wine, and wasbecame drunken;drunk, and heuncovered washimself uncoveredinside within his tent.
9:22	And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethrenbrothers withoutoutside.
9:23	AndBut Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and wentwalked backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backwardturned away, andso that they sawdid not see their fathers nakedness.
9:24	AndWhen Noah awoke from his wine, andhe knew what his youngest son had done untoto him.
9:25	AndSo he said, Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants He shall he be untoto his brethrenbrothers.
9:26	AndHe healso said, Blessed be Jehovahthe Lord, theThe God of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant.
9:27	May God enlarge Japheth, And let him dwell in the tents of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant.
9:28	And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years after the flood.
9:29	AndSo all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years:, and he died.
10:1	Now these are the generationsrecords of the sonsgenerations of Noah, namely, of Shem, Ham, and Japheth:, andthe untosons themof wereNoah; and sons were born to them after the flood.
10:2	The sons of Japheth: were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
10:3	And the sons of Gomer: were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
10:4	And the sons of Javan: were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
10:5	OfFrom these were the islescoastlands of the nations dividedwere inseparated into their lands, every one afteraccording to his tonguelanguage, afteraccording to their families, ininto their nations.
10:6	And the sons of Ham: were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
10:7	And the sons of Cush: were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: were Sheba, and Dedan.
10:8	AndNow Cush begatbecame the father of Nimrod:; he beganbecame to be a mighty one inon the earth.
10:9	He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah:the whereforeLord; therefore it is said, Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before Jehovahthe Lord.
10:10	And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
10:11	OutFrom of that land he went forth into Assyria, and buildedbuilt Nineveh, and Rehoboth Ir, and Calah,
10:12	and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; thethat same is the great city.
10:13	And Mizraim begatbecame the father of Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
10:14	and Pathrusim, and Casluhim whencefrom wentwhich forthcame the Philistines, and Caphtorim.
10:15	And Canaan begatbecame the father of Sidon, his first born, and Heth,
10:16	and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
10:17	and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
10:18	and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite:; and afterward were the families of the Canaanite were spread abroad.
10:19	And the borderterritory of the Canaanite wasextended from Sidon, as thouyou goestgo toward Gerar, untoas far as Gaza; as thouyou goestgo toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, untoas far as Lasha.
10:20	These are the sons of Ham, afteraccording to their families, afteraccording to their tongueslanguages, inby their lands, inby their nations.
10:21	And untoalso to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, and the elderolder brother of Japheth, tochildren him also were children born.
10:22	The sons of Shem: were Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
10:23	And the sons of Aram: were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
10:24	And Arpachshad begatbecame the father of Shelah; and Shelah begatbecame the father of Eber.
10:25	And untotwo Ebersons were born twoto sons:Eber; the name of the one was Peleg;, for in his days was the earth was divided; and his brothers name was Joktan.
10:26	And Joktan begatbecame the father of Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
10:27	and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
10:28	and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
10:29	and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab:; all these were the sons of Joktan.
10:30	AndNow their dwellingsettlement wasextended from Mesha, as thouyou goestgo toward Sephar, the mountainhill country of the east.
10:31	These are the sons of Shem, afteraccording to their families, afteraccording to their tongueslanguages, inby their lands, afteraccording to their nations.
10:32	These are the families of the sons of Noah, afteraccording to their generationsgenealogies, inby their nations:; and out of these were the nations dividedwere inseparated on the earth after the flood.
11:1	AndNow the whole earth wasused ofthe onesame language and ofthe onesame speechwords.
11:2	And it came toabout pass, as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and theysettled dwelt there.
11:3	And they said to one to another, Come, let us make brick,bricks and burn them thoroughly. And they hadused brick for stone, and slimethey hadused theytar for mortar.
11:4	And they said, Come, let us build usfor ourselves a city, and a tower, whose top maywill reach untointo heaven, and let us make usfor ourselves a name; lest we be scattered abroad uponover the face of the whole earth.
11:5	And Jehovahthe Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the childrensons of men buildedhad built.
11:6	And Jehovahthe Lord said, Behold, they are one people, and they all have allthe onesame language;. andAnd this is what they beginbegan to do:, and now nothing willwhich bethey withholdenpurpose fromto them,do whichwill theybe purposeimpossible tofor dothem.
11:7	Come, let usUs go down, and there confoundconfuse their language, that they may not understand one anothers speech.
11:8	So Jehovahthe Lord scattered them abroad from thencethere uponover the face of all the whole earth:; and they leftstopped off building the city.
11:9	Therefore wasits the name ofwas it called Babel;, because Jehovahthere didthe thereLord confoundconfused the language of all the whole earth:; and from thencethere didthe JehovahLord scatterscattered them abroad uponover the face of all the whole earth.
11:10	These are the records of the generations of Shem. Shem was aone hundred years old, and begatbecame the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood:;
11:11	and Shem lived five hundred years after he begatbecame Arpachshadthe fivefather hundredof yearsArpachshad, and begathe had other sons and daughters.
11:12	And Arpachshad lived thirty five and thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Shelah:;
11:13	and Arpachshad lived after he begat Shelah four hundred and three years after he became the father of Shelah, and begathe had other sons and daughters.
11:14	And Shelah lived thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Eber:;
11:15	and Shelah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years after he became the father of Eber, and begathe had other sons and daughters.
11:16	And Eber lived thirty four and thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Peleg:;
11:17	and Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years after he became the father of Peleg, and begathe had other sons and daughters.
11:18	And Peleg lived thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Reu:;
11:19	and Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years after he became the father of Reu, and begathe had other sons and daughters.
11:20	And Reu lived thirty two and thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Serug:;
11:21	and Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years after he became the father of Serug, and begathe had other sons and daughters.
11:22	And Serug lived thirty years, and begatbecame the father of Nahor:;
11:23	and Serug lived two hundred years after he begatbecame Nahorthe twofather hundredof yearsNahor, and begathe had other sons and daughters.
11:24	And Nahor lived twenty nine and twenty years, and begatbecame the father of Terah:;
11:25	and Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years after he begatbecame Terahthe afather hundredof Terah, and nineteenhe years,had andother begat sons and daughters.
11:26	And Terah lived seventy years, and begatbecame the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
11:27	Now these are the records of the generations of Terah. Terah begatbecame the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begatbecame the father of Lot.
11:28	And Haran died beforein the presence of his father Terah in the land of his nativitybirth, in Ur of the ChaldeesChaldeans.
11:29	And Abram and Nahor took them wives: thefor themselves. The name of Abrams wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahors wife, was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
11:31	And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his sons songrandson, and Sarai his daughter in lawinlaw, his son Abrams wife; and they went forthout withtogether them from Ur of the Chaldees,Chaldeans in order to goenter into the land of Canaan; and they camewent untoas far as Haran, and dweltsettled there.
11:32	And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years:; and Terah died in Haran.
12:1	Now Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Abram, GetGo theeforth outfrom ofyour thy country, andAnd from thyyour kindred,relatives andAnd from thyyour fathers house, untoTo the land thatwhich I will show thee:you;
12:2	andAnd I will make ofyou thee a great nation, andAnd I will bless theeyou, andAnd make thyyour name great; andAnd so you shall be thou a blessing:;
12:3	andAnd I will bless themthose thatwho bless theeyou, andAnd himthe thatone cursethwho theecurses willyou I will curse:. andAnd in theeyou shall all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
12:4	So Abram went, forth as Jehovahthe Lord had spoken untoto him; and Lot went with him:. andNow Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed outfrom of Haran.
12:5	And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brothers sonnephew, and all their substancepossessions thatwhich they had gatheredaccumulated, and the soulspersons thatwhich they had gottenacquired in Haran;, and they wentset forthout tofor go into the land of Canaan; andthus intothey came to the land of Canaan they came.
12:6	And Abram passed through the land untoas far as the placesite of Shechem, untoto the oak of Moreh. AndNow the Canaanite was then in the land.
12:7	And Jehovahthe Lord appeared untoto Abram, and said, UntoTo thyyour seeddescendants I will I give this land:. andSo therehe buildedbuilt he an altar untothere Jehovah,to the Lord who had appeared untoto him.
12:8	AndThen he removedproceeded from thencethere untoto the mountain on the east of Beth elBethel, and pitched his tent, havingwith BethBethel el on the west, and Ai on the east:; and there he buildedbuilt an altar untoto Jehovah,the Lord and called upon the name of Jehovahthe Lord.
12:9	And Abram journeyed, going on, stillcontinuing toward the SouthNegev.
12:10	AndNow there was a famine in the land:; andso Abram went down intoto Egypt to sojourn there;, for the famine was soresevere in the land.
12:11	And it came toabout pass, when he wascame come near to enter into Egypt, that he said untoto Sarai his wife, BeholdSee now, I know that thouyou artare a fairbeautiful woman to look upon:;
12:12	and it will come toabout pass, when the Egyptians shall see theeyou, that they will say, This is his wife:; and they will kill me, but they will savelet theeyou alivelive.
12:13	Say,Please Isay praythat thee,you thouare art my sister; so that it may bego well with me forbecause thyof sakeyou, and that myI soul may live becauseon account of theeyou.
12:14	And it came toabout pass, that, when Abram wascame come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheldsaw that the woman that she was very fairbeautiful.
12:15	And thePharaohs princesofficials of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh:; and the woman was taken into Pharaohs house.
12:16	AndTherefore he dealttreated Abram well with Abram for her sake:; and hegave hadhim sheep, and oxen, and hedonkeys asses, and menmale servants, and maidfemale servants, and shefemale asses,donkeys and camels.
12:17	AndBut Jehovahthe plaguedLord struck Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abrams wife.
12:18	AndThen Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this thatyou thouhave hast done untoto me? whyWhy didstdid thouyou not tell me that she was thyyour wife?
12:19	whyWhy saidstdid thouyou say, She is my sister, so that I took her tofor be my wife? nowNow thereforethen, beholdhere thyis your wife, take her, and go thy way.
12:20	And Pharaoh gavecommanded his men charge concerning him:; and they broughtescorted him on the wayaway, andwith his wife, and all that hebelonged hadto him.
13:1	AndSo Abram went up outfrom ofEgypt Egyptto the Negev, he, and his wife, and all that hebelonged had,to him; and Lot with him, into the South.
13:2	AndNow Abram was very rich in cattlelivestock, in silver, and in gold.
13:3	And he went on his journeys from the SouthNegev evenas tofar Bethas elBethel, untoto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between BethBethel el and Ai,
13:4	untoto the place of the altar, which he had made there atformerly; the first: and there Abram called on the name of Jehovahthe Lord.
13:5	AndNow Lot also, who went with Abram, also had flocks, and herds, and tents.
13:6	And the land wascould not ablesustain to bear them, thatwhile theydwelling might dwell together:; for their substancepossessions waswere so great, so that they couldwere not dwellable to remain together.
13:7	And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abrams cattlelivestock and the herdsmen of Lots cattle:livestock. andNow the Canaanite and the Perizzite dweltwere dwelling then in the land.
13:8	AndThen Abram said untoto Lot, LetPlease let there be no strife, I pray thee, between meyou and theeme, andnor between my herdsmen and thyyour herdsmen;, for we are brethrenbrothers.
13:9	Is not the whole land before theeyou? Please separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thouto wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thouto take the right hand, then I will go to the left.
13:10	And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheldsaw all the Plainvalley of the Jordan, that it was well watered everyeverywhere where,this was before Jehovahthe Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Jehovahthe Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thouyou goestgo untoto Zoar.
13:11	So Lot chose himfor himself all the Plainvalley of the Jordan; and Lot journeyed east:eastward. andThus they separated themselves the one from theeach other.
13:12	Abram dweltsettled in the land of Canaan, andwhile Lot dweltsettled in the cities of the Plainvalley, and moved his tenttents as far as Sodom.
13:13	Now the men of Sodom were wicked exceedingly and sinners against Jehovahthe exceedinglyLord.
13:14	And Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Abram, after that Lot washad separated from him, LiftNow lift up nowyour thine eyes, and look from the place where thouyou artare, northward and southward and eastward and westward:;
13:15	for all the land which thouyou seestsee, toI thee will I give it, to you and to thyyour seeddescendants for everforever.
13:16	And I will make thyyour seeddescendants as the dust of the earth:; so that if aanyone man can number the dust of the earth, then mayyour thydescendants seedcan also be numbered.
13:17	Arise, walk throughabout the land inthrough theits length of it and in the breadth of it; for untoI thee will I give it to you.
13:18	AndThen Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and there he built there an altar untoto Jehovahthe Lord.
14:1	And it came toabout pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim,
14:2	that they made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela thethat same is, Zoar.
14:3	All these joinedcame togetheras inallies to the valevalley of Siddim thethat same is, the Salt Sea.
14:4	Twelve years they had served Chedorlaomer, andbut in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
14:5	And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, came and smotedefeated the Rephaim in Ashteroth karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh kiriathaim,
14:6	and the Horites in their mountMount Seir, untoas far as El paran, which is by the wilderness.
14:7	AndThen they returned,turned back and came to En mishpat thethat same is, Kadesh, and smoteconquered all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, thatwho dweltlived in Hazazon tamar.
14:8	And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela thethat same is, Zoar came out; and they setarrayed thefor battle in array against them in the valevalley of Siddim;,
14:9	against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
14:10	Now the valevalley of Siddim was full of slimetar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell there,into andthem. theyBut thatthose remainedwho survived fled to the mountainhill country.
14:11	AndThen they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victualsfood supply, and went their waydeparted.
14:12	And they also took Lot, Abrams brothers sonnephew, whoand dwelthis inpossessions Sodomand departed, andfor hishe goods,was andliving departedin Sodom.
14:13	AndThen therea fugitive came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew:. nowNow he dweltwas living by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner;, and these were confederateallies with Abram.
14:14	And when Abram heard that his brotherrelative washad been taken captive, he led forthout his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursuedwent in pursuit as far as Dan.
14:15	And he divided himselfhis forces against them by night, he and his servants, and smotedefeated them, and pursued them untoas far as Hobah, which is onnorth the left hand of Damascus.
14:16	And he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brotherrelative Lot, andwith his goodspossessions, and also the women also, and the people.
14:17	AndThen the king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughterdefeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings thatwho were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the valevalley of Shaveh thethat same is, the Kings ValeValley.
14:18	And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forthout bread and wine:; andnow he was a priest of God Most High.
14:19	And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessorPossessor of heaven and earth:;
14:20	andAnd blessed be God Most High, whoWho hathhas delivered thineyour enemies into thyyour hand. And he gave him a tenth of all.
14:21	And the king of Sodom said untoto Abram, Give me the persons,people to me and take the goods tofor thyselfyourself.
14:22	And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have liftedsworn upto mythe handLord unto Jehovah, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
14:23	that I will not take a thread noror a shoesandal latchetthong noror aughtanything that is thineyours, lest thouyou shouldestshould say, I have made Abram rich:.
14:24	saveI onlywill thattake whichnothing except what the young men have eaten, and the portionshare of the men thatwho went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portionshare.
15:1	After these things the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto Abram in a vision, saying, FearDo not fear, Abram:, I am thya shield, andto thyyou; exceedingYour reward shall be very great reward.
15:2	And Abram said, O Lord JehovahGod, what wilt thouThou give me, seeingsince I goam childless, and hethe thatheir shall be possessor of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?
15:3	And Abram said, Behold,Since toThou me thou hast given no seed:offspring and,to lome, one born in my house is minemy heir.
15:4	And,Then behold, the word of Jehovahthe Lord came untoto him, saying, This man shallwill not be thineyour heir; but heone thatwho shall come forth outfrom ofyour thine own bowelsbody, he shall be thineyour heir.
15:5	And heHe broughttook him forthoutside abroad, and said, LookNow nowlook toward heaventhe heavens, and numbercount the stars, if thouyou beare able to numbercount them:. andAnd heHe said untoto him, So shall thyyour seeddescendants be.
15:6	AndThen he believed in Jehovahthe Lord; and heHe reckoned it to him foras righteousness.
15:7	And heHe said untoto him, I am Jehovahthe thatLord who brought theeyou out of Ur of the ChaldeesChaldeans, to give theeyou this land to inheritpossess it.
15:8	And he said, O Lord JehovahGod, wherebyhow shallmay I know that I shall inheritpossess it?
15:9	AndSo heHe said untoto him, TakeBring meMe a heifer three yearsyear old heifer, and a shethree goatyear threeold yearsfemale oldgoat, and a ram three yearsyear old ram, and a turtle doveturtledove, and a young pigeon.
15:10	AndThen he tookbrought him all these, to Him and dividedcut them in the midsttwo, and laid each half overopposite against the other:; but thehe birdsdid dividednot hecut notthe birds.
15:12	AndNow when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lobehold, aterror horrorand of great darkness fell upon him.
15:13	And heGod said untoto Abram, Know offor acertain surety that thyyour seeddescendants shallwill be sojournersstrangers in a land that is not theirs, andwhere shallthey servewill them;be enslaved and theyoppressed shall afflict them four hundred years;.
15:14	andBut I will also thatjudge the nation, whom they shallwill serve,; will I judge: and afterward shall they will come out with greatmany substancepossessions.
15:15	ButAnd thouas shaltfor you, you shall go to thyyour fathers in peace; thouyou shaltshall be buried inat a good old age.
15:16	AndThen in the fourth generation they shall comereturn hitherhere, again: for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet fullcomplete.
15:17	And it came toabout pass, that, when the sun wenthad downset, andthat it was very dark, and behold, there appeared a smoking furnace,oven and a flaming torch thatwhich passed between these pieces.
15:18	InOn that day Jehovahthe Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, UntoTo thyyour seeddescendants I have I given this land, fromFrom the river of Egypt untoas far as the great river, the river Euphrates:
15:19	the Kenite, and the Kenizzite, and the Kadmonite,
15:20	and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Rephaim,
15:21	and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Girgashite, and the Jebusite.
16:1	Now Sarai, Abrams wife, barehad borne him no children:, and she had a handmaid, an Egyptian, maid whose name was Hagar.
16:2	AndSo Sarai said untoto Abram, BeholdNow nowbehold, Jehovahthe hathLord restrainedhas prevented me from bearing; children. Please go in, Ito pray thee, unto my handmaidmaid; itperhaps may be that I shall obtain children bythrough her. And Abram hearkenedlistened to the voice of Sarai.
16:3	And Sarai, Abrams wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her handmaid, after Abram had dweltlived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abrams wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to Abram her husband toAbram beas his wife.
16:4	And he went in untoto Hagar, and she conceived:; and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyessight.
16:5	And Sarai said untoto Abram, MyMay the wrong done me be upon thee:you. I gave my handmaidmaid into thyyour bosomarms; andbut when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes:sight. JehovahMay the Lord judge between meyou and theeme.
16:6	But Abram said untoto Sarai, Behold, thyyour maid is in thyyour handpower; do to her thatwhat which is good in thineyour eyessight. AndSo Sarai dealttreated hardlyher with herharshly, and she fled from her facepresence.
16:7	AndNow the angel of Jehovahthe Lord found her by a fountainspring of water in the wilderness, by the fountainspring inon the way to Shur.
16:8	And he said, Hagar, Sarais handmaidmaid, whencewhere camesthave thou?you come from and whitherwhere goestare thouyou going? And she said, I am fleeing from the facepresence of my mistress Sarai.
16:9	AndThen the angel of Jehovahthe Lord said untoto her, Return to thyyour mistress, and submit thyselfyourself underto her handsauthority.
16:10	AndMoreover, the angel of Jehovahthe Lord said untoto her, I will greatly multiply thyyour seed,descendants so that itthey shall not be numberedtoo formany multitudeto count.
16:11	AndThe the angel of Jehovahthe Lord said untoto her further, Behold, thouyou artare with child, andAnd shaltyou shall bear a son; andAnd thouyou shaltshall call his name Ishmael, becauseBecause Jehovahthe hathLord heardhas thygiven heed to your affliction.
16:12	And he shallwill be as a wild assdonkey amongof men;a hisman, His hand shallwill be against every maneveryone, andAnd everyeveryones mans hand will be against him; andAnd he shallwill dwelllive overto againstthe east of all his brethrenbrothers.
16:13	AndThen she called the name of Jehovahthe thatLord spakewho untospoke to her, Thou art a God thatwho seeth:sees; for she said, Have I even remained alive here looked after himseeing that seeth meHim?
16:14	WhereforeTherefore the well was called Beer lahai roi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
16:15	AndSo Hagar barebore Abram a son:; and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar barebore, Ishmael.
16:16	And Abram was fourscoreeighty and six years old, when Hagar barebore Ishmael to Abramhim.
17:1	AndNow when Abram was ninety nine years old, andthe nine,Lord Jehovah appeared to Abram, and said untoto him, I am God Almighty; walkWalk before meMe, and be thou perfectblameless.
17:2	And I will makeestablish myMy covenant between meMe and theeyou, andAnd I will multiply theeyou exceedingly.
17:3	And Abram fell on his face:, and God talked with him, saying,
17:4	As for meMe, behold, myMy covenant is with theeyou, andAnd thouyou shaltshall be the father of a multitude of nations.
17:5	NeitherNo longer shall thyyour name any more be called Abram, butBut thyyour name shall be Abraham; forFor I will make you the father of a multitude of nations have I made thee.
17:6	And I will make theeyou exceedingexceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of theeyou, and kings shall come outforth offrom theeyou.
17:7	And I will establish myMy covenant between meMe and theeyou and thyyour seeddescendants after theeyou throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God untoto theeyou and to thyyour seeddescendants after theeyou.
17:8	And I will give untoto thee,you and to thyyour seeddescendants after theeyou, the land of thyyour sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
17:9	And God said untofurther to Abraham, AndNow as for theeyou, thouyou shaltshall keep myMy covenant, thou,you and thyyour seeddescendants after theeyou throughout their generations.
17:10	This is myMy covenant, which yeyou shall keep, between meMe and you and thyyour seeddescendants after theeyou: every male among you shall be circumcised.
17:11	And yeyou shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be athe tokensign of athe covenant betwixtbetween meMe and you.
17:12	And heevery thatmale among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, hea thatservant who is born in the house, or who is bought with money offrom any foreigner, thatwho is not of thyyour seeddescendants.
17:13	HeA thatservant who is born in thyyour house, andor hewho that is bought with thyyour money, mustshall needssurely be circumcised:; andthus myshall My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
17:14	AndBut thean uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soulperson shall be cut off from his people; he hathhas broken myMy covenant.
17:15	AndThen God said untoto Abraham, As for Sarai thyyour wife, thouyou shaltshall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name be.
17:16	And I will bless her, and moreoverindeed I will give theeyou a son ofby her:. yea,Then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall become offrom her.
17:17	Then Abraham fell uponon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, ShallWill a child be born untoto hima thatman isone a hundred years old? andAnd shallwill Sarah, thatwho is ninety years old, bear a child?
17:18	And Abraham said untoto God, Oh that Ishmael might live before theeThee!
17:19	AndBut God said, NayNo, but Sarah thyyour wife shall bear theeyou a son;, and thouyou shaltshall call his name Isaac:; and I will establish myMy covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seeddescendants after him.
17:20	And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee:you; behold, I havewill blessedbless him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly;. twelveHe princes shall hebecome begetthe father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
17:21	But myMy covenant I will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shallwill bear untoto theeyou at this setseason time in the next year.
17:22	And hewhen leftHe offfinished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
17:23	AndThen Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all thatthe servants who were born in his house, and all thatwho were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abrahams househousehold, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsamevery same day, as God had said untoto him.
17:24	AndNow Abraham was ninety nine years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
17:25	And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
17:26	In the selfsamevery same day Abraham was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.
17:27	And all the men of his househousehold, thosewho were born in the house, andor those bought with money offrom a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
18:1	AndNow Jehovahthe Lord appeared untoto him by the oaks of Mamre, aswhile he satwas insitting at the tent door in the heat of the day;.
18:2	andAnd when he lifted up his eyes and looked, andbehold, lo, three men stoodwere overstanding againstopposite him:; and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the earth,
18:3	and said, My Lord, if now I have found favor in thyyour sight, passplease do not away,pass Iyour prayservant thee, from thy servant:by.
18:4	Please let now a little water be fetched,brought and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:;
18:5	and I will fetchbring a morselpiece of bread, andthat strengthenyou yemay yourrefresh heartyourselves; after that yeyou shallmay passgo on:, forasmuchsince asyou yehave arevisited come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thouyou hasthave said.
18:6	AndSo Abraham hastenedhurried into the tent untoto Sarah, and said, MakeQuickly, readyprepare quickly three measures of fine mealflour, knead it, and make bread cakes.
18:7	And Abraham also ran untoto the herd, and fetchedtook a calf tender and goodchoice calf, and gave it untoto the servant; and he hastedhurried to dressprepare it.
18:8	And he took butter,curds and milk, and the calf which he had dressedprepared, and setplaced it before them; and he stoodwas standing by them under the tree, andas they did eatate.
18:9	AndThen they said untoto him, Where is Sarah thyyour wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.
18:10	And he said, I will certainlysurely return untoto theeyou whenat thethis seasontime comethnext roundyear; and, lobehold, Sarah thyyour wife shall have a son. And Sarah heardwas inlistening at the tent door, which was behind him.
18:11	Now Abraham and Sarah were old, andadvanced well stricken in age; it had ceased to be with Sarah afterwas thepast manner of womenchildbearing.
18:12	And Sarah laughed withinto herself, saying, After I amhave waxedbecome old, shall I have pleasure, my Lord being old also?
18:13	And Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Abraham, WhereforeWhy did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I ofindeed a surety bear a child, whowhen I am so old?
18:14	Is anything too harddifficult for Jehovahthe Lord? At the setappointed time I will return untoto theeyou, whenat thethis seasontime comethnext roundyear, and Sarah shall have a son.
18:15	Then Sarah denied it however, saying, I laugheddid not laugh; for she was afraid. And heHe said, Nay;No, but thouyou didstdid laugh.
18:16	AndThen the men rose up from thencethere, and looked down toward Sodom:; and Abraham wentwas walking with them to bringsend them on the wayoff.
18:17	And Jehovahthe Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham thatwhat which I am about to do;,
18:18	seeingsince that Abraham shallwill surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth shallwill be blessed in him?
18:19	For I have knownchosen him, toin theorder end that he may command his children and his household after him, thatto they may keep the way of Jehovah,the toLord doby doing righteousness and justice; toin theorder end that Jehovahthe Lord may bring upon Abraham thatwhat whichHe hehas hath spoken ofabout him.
18:20	And Jehovahthe Lord said, BecauseThe theoutcry cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and because their sin is veryexceedingly grievous;grave.
18:21	I will go down now, and see whetherif they have done altogetherentirely according to theits cry of itoutcry, which ishas come untoto meMe; and if not, I will know.
18:22	AndThen the men turned away from thence,there and went toward Sodom:, butwhile Abraham stoodwas yetstill standing before Jehovahthe Lord.
18:23	And Abraham drewcame near, and said, Wilt thouThou consumeindeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked?
18:24	PeradventureSuppose there are fifty righteous within the city:; wilt thouThou consumeindeed sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous thatwho are thereinin it?
18:25	ThatFar be farit from theeThee to do aftersuch thisa mannerthing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that so the righteous shouldand be as the wicked; thatare treated alike. Far be farit from thee:Thee! shallShall not the Judge of all the earth dodeal rightjustly?
18:26	AndSo Jehovahthe Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the whole place foron their sakeaccount.
18:27	And Abraham answered and said, BeholdNow nowbehold, I have takenventured upon me to speak untoto the Lord, whoalthough I am but dust and ashes:.
18:28	peradventureSuppose therethe shallfifty lackrighteous fiveare oflacking thefive, fifty righteous: wilt thouThou destroy all the whole city forbecause lack of five? And heHe said, I will not destroy it, if I find there forty andfive fivethere.
18:29	And he spakespoke untoto himHim yet again, and said, PeradventureSuppose thereforty shallare be forty found there.? And heHe said, I will not do it foron account of the fortys sakeforty.
18:30	AndThen he said, Oh letmay not the Lord not be angry, and I willshall speak:; peradventuresuppose there shall thirty beare found there.? And heHe said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
18:31	And he said, BeholdNow nowbehold, I have takenventured upon me to speak untoto the Lord:; peradventuresuppose theretwenty shallare be twenty found there.? And heHe said, I will not destroy it foron account of the twentys saketwenty.
18:32	AndThen he said, Oh letmay not the Lord not be angry, and I willshall speak yetonly but this once:; peradventuresuppose ten shallare be found there.? And heHe said, I will not destroy it foron account of the tens saketen.
18:33	And Jehovah went his way, as soon as heHe had leftfinished offspeaking communingto with Abraham: the Lord departed; and Abraham returned untoto his place.
19:1	AndNow the two angels came to Sodom atin even;the andevening as Lot satwas sitting in the gate of Sodom:. andWhen Lot saw them, andhe rose up to meet them; and he bowed himselfdown with his face to the earth;ground.
19:2	andAnd he said, BeholdNow nowbehold, my Lords, please turn aside, I pray you, into your servants house, and tarryspend allthe night, and wash your feet,; andthen yeyou shallmay rise up early, and go on your way. AndThey theysaid saidhowever, Nay;No, but we willshall abidespend the night in the street all nightsquare.
19:3	AndYet he urged them greatly;strongly, andso they turned inaside untoto him, and entered into his house; and he madeprepared them a feast for them, and didbaked bake unleavened bread, and they did eatate.
19:4	ButBefore before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassedsurrounded the house round, both young and old, all the people from every quarter;
19:5	and they called untoto Lot, and said untoto him, Where are the men thatwho came in to theeyou this nighttonight? bringBring them out untoto us, that we may knowhave relations with them.
19:6	AndBut Lot went out untoto them toat the doordoorway, and shut the door afterbehind him.,
19:7	Andand he said, I pray youPlease, my brethrenbrothers, do not soact wickedly.
19:8	BeholdNow nowbehold, I have two daughters thatwho have not knownhad relations with man; please let me, I pray you, bring them out untoto you, and do ye to them aswhatever isyou goodlike; inonly yourdo eyes:nothing onlyto unto these men do nothing, forasmuchinasmuch as they arehave come under the shadowshelter of my roof.
19:9	AndBut they said, Stand backaside. AndFurthermore, they said, This one fellow came in toas sojournan alien, and already he willis needsacting belike a judge:; now we will wetreat dealyou worse with thee, than with them. AndSo they pressed sorehard uponagainst the man, even Lot, and drewcame near to break the door.
19:10	But the men putreached forthout their hand,hands and brought Lot into the house towith them, and shut to the door.
19:11	And they smotestruck the men thatwho were at the doordoorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves trying to find the doordoorway.
19:12	AndThen the men said untoto Lot, HastWhom thouelse herehave anyyou besideshere? A son in law, and thyyour sons, and thyyour daughters, and whomsoeverwhomever thouyou hasthave in the city, bring them out of the place:;
19:13	for we willare about to destroy this place, because thetheir cryoutcry ofhas thembecome isso waxed great before Jehovah;the andLord Jehovahthat haththe Lord has sent us to destroy it.
19:14	And Lot went out, and spakespoke untoto his sons in law, who marriedwere to marry his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place;, for Jehovahthe Lord will destroy the city. But he seemedappeared untoto his sons in law asto onebe that mockedjesting.
19:15	And when the morning arosedawned, then the angels hastenedurged Lot, saying, AriseUp, take thyyour wife, and thyyour two daughters, thatwho are here, lest thouyou be consumedswept away in the iniquitypunishment of the city.
19:16	But he lingered;hesitated. andSo the men laidseized hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the handhands of his two daughters, Jehovahfor beingthe mercifulcompassion untoof the Lord was upon him:; and they brought him forthout, and setput him withoutoutside the city.
19:17	And it came toabout pass, when they had brought them forth abroadoutside, that heone said, Escape for thyyour life;! lookDo not look behind theeyou, neitherand do not stay thouanywhere in all the Plainvalley; escape to the mountainmountains, lest thouyou be consumedswept away.
19:18	AndBut Lot said untoto them, Oh, not sono, my Lord:Lords!
19:19	Now behold now, thyyour servant hathhas found favor in thyyour sight, and thouyou hasthave magnified thyyour lovingkindness, which thouyou hasthave showedshown unto me inby saving my life; andbut I cannot escape to the mountainmountains, lest evilthe disaster overtake me, and I die:;
19:20	now behold now, this citytown is near enough to flee untoto, and it is a little onesmall. OhPlease, let me escape thitherthere is it not asmall? littlethat one?,my andlife mymay soulbe shall livesaved.
19:21	And he said untoto him, SeeBehold, I havegrant acceptedyou thee concerning this thingrequest also, thatnot Ito will not overthrow the citytown of which thouyou hasthave spoken.
19:22	Haste theeHurry, escape thither;there, for I cannot do anything tilluntil thouyou bearrive come thitherthere. Therefore the name of the citytown was called Zoar.
19:23	The sun washad risen uponover the earth when Lot came untoto Zoar.
19:24	Then Jehovahthe Lord rained uponon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovahthe Lord out of heaven;,
19:25	and heHe overthrew those cities, and all the Plainvalley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and thatwhat which grew uponon the ground.
19:26	But his wife, looked back from behind him, looked back; and she became a pillar of salt.
19:27	AndNow Abraham gatarose up early in the morning and went to the place where he had stood before Jehovah:the Lord;
19:28	and he looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the Plainvalley, and beheldhe saw, and, lobehold, the smoke of the land wentascended uplike as the smoke of a furnace.
19:29	AndThus it came to passabout, when God destroyed the cities of the Plainvalley, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when heHe overthrew the cities in which Lot dweltlived.
19:30	And Lot went up outfrom of Zoar, and dweltstayed in the mountainmountains, and his two daughters with him; for he fearedwas afraid to dwellstay in Zoar:; and he dweltstayed in a cave, he and his two daughters.
19:31	AndThen the first born said untoto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man inon the earth to come in untoto us after the manner of all the earth:.
19:32	comeCome, let us make our father drink wine, and welet willus lie with him, that we may preserve seedour offamily through our father.
19:33	AndSo they made their father drink wine that night:, and the first born went in, and lay with her father; and he knewdid not know when she lay down, noror when she arose.
19:34	And it came toabout pass on the morrow, that the first born said untoto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternightlast night with my father:; let us make him drink wine thistonight night also; andthen you go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seedour offamily through our father.
19:35	AndSo they made their father drink wine that night also:, and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he knewdid not know when she lay down, noror when she arose.
19:36	Thus were both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father.
19:37	And the first born barebore a son, and called his name Moab:; thehe same is the father of the Moabites untoto this day.
19:38	And as for the younger, she also barebore a son, and called his name Ben ammi:; thehe same is the father of the childrensons of Ammon untoto this day.
20:1	AndNow Abraham journeyed from thencethere toward the land of the SouthNegev, and dweltsettled between Kadesh and Shur; andthen he sojourned in Gerar.
20:2	And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister:. andSo Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
20:3	But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, Behold, thouyou artare but a dead man, because of the woman whom thouyou hasthave taken;, for she is a mans wifemarried.
20:4	Now Abimelech had not come near her:; and he said, Lord, wilt thouThou slay a nation, even athough righteous nationblameless?
20:5	SaidDid he not himself untosay to me, She is my sister ? andAnd she, even she herself said, He is my brother:. inIn the integrity of my heart and the innocencyinnocence of my hands I have I done this.
20:6	AndThen God said untoto him in the dream, YeaYes, I know that in the integrity of thyyour heart thouyou hashave done this, and I also withheldkept theeyou from sinning against me:Me; therefore suffered I theedid not tolet you touch her.
20:7	Now therefore, restore the mans wife;, for he is a prophet, and he shallwill pray for theeyou, and thouyou shaltwill live:. andBut if thouyou do not restore her not, know thou that thouyou shaltshall surely die, thou,you and all thatwho are thineyours.
20:8	AndSo Abimelech rosearose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears:hearing; and the men were soregreatly afraidfrightened.
20:9	Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said untoto him, What hasthave thouyou done untoto us? andAnd whereinhow have I sinned against theeyou, that thouyou hasthave brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thouYou hasthave done deedsto unto me things that ought not to be done.
20:10	And Abimelech said untoto Abraham, What sawesthave thouyou encountered, that thouyou hasthave done this thing?
20:11	And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surelysurely thethere is no fear of God is not in this place; and they will slaykill me forbecause of my wifes sakewife.
20:12	AndBesides, moreover she actually is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother;, and she became my wife:;
20:13	and it came to passabout, when God caused me to wander from my fathers house, that I said untoto her, This is thythe kindness which thouyou shaltwill show untoto me: ateverywhere every place whither we shall comego, say of me, He is my brother.
20:14	And Abimelech then took sheep and oxen, and menmale servants and womenfemale servants, and gave them untoto Abraham, and restored himhis wife Sarah histo wifehim.
20:15	And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee:you; dwellsettle wherewherever ityou pleaseth theeplease.
20:16	And untoto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thyyour brother a thousand pieces of silver:; behold, it is foryour theevindication abefore covering of the eyes to all thatwho are with thee;you, and inbefore respectall ofmen allyou thouare art rightedcleared.
20:17	And Abraham prayed untoto God:; and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidmaids, servants;so andthat they barebore children.
20:18	For Jehovahthe Lord had fast closed upfast all the wombs of the househousehold of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abrahams wife.
21:1	AndThen Jehovahthe visitedLord took note of Sarah as heHe had said, and Jehovahthe Lord did untofor Sarah as heHe had spokenpromised.
21:2	AndSo Sarah conceived, and barebore Abraham a son to Abraham in his old age, at the setappointed time of which God had spoken to him.
21:3	And Abraham called the name of his son thatwho was born untoto him, whom Sarah barebore to him, Isaac.
21:4	AndThen Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.
21:5	AndNow Abraham was aone hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born untoto him.
21:6	And Sarah said, God hathhas made melaughter tofor laughme; everyeveryone onewho thathears heareth will laugh with me.
21:7	And she said, Who would have said untoto Abraham, that Sarah shouldwould givenurse children suck? forYet I have borne him a son in his old age.
21:8	And the child grew, and was weaned:, and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
21:9	AndNow Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne untoto Abraham, mocking.
21:10	WhereforeTherefore she said untoto Abraham, CastDrive out this handmaidmaid and her son:, for the son of this handmaidmaid shall not be an heir with my son, even with Isaac.
21:11	And the thingmatter wasdistressed veryAbraham grievousgreatly inbecause Abrahams sight on account of his son.
21:12	AndBut God said untoto Abraham, LetDo it not be grievousdistressed in thy sight because of the lad, and becauseyour of thy handmaidmaid; inwhatever all that Sarah saithtells unto theeyou, hearkenlisten untoto her, voice; for inthrough Isaac shallyour thydescendants seedshall be callednamed.
21:13	And also of the son of the handmaidmaid I will I make a nation also, because he is thyyour seeddescendant.
21:14	AndSo Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread and a bottleskin of water, and gave itthem untoto Hagar, putting itthem on her shoulder, and gave her the childboy, and sent her away:. andAnd she departed, and wandered about in the wilderness of Beer shebaBeersheba.
21:15	And the water in the bottleskin was spentused up, and she castleft the childboy under one of the shrubsbushes.
21:16	AndThen she went, and sat her down overopposite against him a good way off, asabout it were a bowshot: away, for she said, LetDo me not looklet uponme see the deathboy of the childdie. And she sat overopposite against him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.
21:17	And God heard the voicelad of the ladcrying; and the angel of God called to Hagar outfrom of heaven, and said untoto her, What ailethis theethe matter with you, Hagar? fearDo not; fear, for God hathhas heard the voice of the lad where he is.
21:18	Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him inby thythe hand; for I will make him a great nation of him.
21:19	AndThen God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottleskin with water, and gave the lad a drink.
21:20	And God was with the lad, and he grew; and he dweltlived in the wilderness, and became, as he grew up, an archer.
21:21	And he dweltlived in the wilderness of Paran:; and his mother took him a wife outfor ofhim from the land of Egypt.
21:22	AndNow it came toabout pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phicol, the captaincommander of his hostarmy, spakespoke untoto Abraham, saying, God is with theeyou in all that thouyou doest:do;
21:23	now therefore, swear untoto me here by God that thouyou wiltwill not deal falsely with me, noror with my sonoffspring, noror with my sonsposterity; son: but according to the kindness that I have doneshown untoto theeyou, thouyou shaltshall doshow untoto me, and to the land whereinin thouwhich hastyou have sojourned.
21:24	And Abraham said, I willswear swearit.
21:25	AndBut Abraham reprovedcomplained to Abimelech because of the well of water, which Abimelechsthe servants hadof violentlyAbimelech takenhad awayseized.
21:26	And Abimelech said, I knowdo not know who hathhas done this thing:; neither didstdid thouyou tell me, neithernor yetdid heard I hear of it, butuntil to daytoday.
21:27	And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them untoto Abimelech; and theythe two of them made a covenant.
21:28	AndThen Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
21:29	And Abimelech said untoto Abraham, What meando these seven ewe lambs mean, which thouyou hasthave set by themselves?
21:30	And he said, TheseYou shall take these seven ewe lambs shaltfrom thoumy takehand ofin myorder hand, that it may be a witness untoto me, that I havedug digged this well.
21:31	WhereforeTherefore he called that place Beer shebaBeersheba; because there theythe swaretwo both of them took an oath.
21:32	So they made a covenant at BeerBeersheba; sheba: and Abimelech rose up, and Phicol, the captaincommander of his hostarmy, arose and they returned intoto the land of the Philistines.
21:33	And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree inat Beer shebaBeersheba, and there he called there on the name of Jehovahthe Lord, the Everlasting God.
21:34	And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines for many days.
22:1	AndNow it came toabout pass after these things, that God didtested prove Abraham, and said untoto him, Abraham;! andAnd he said, Here I am I.
22:2	And heHe said, Take now thyyour son, thineyour only son, whom thouyou lovestlove, even Isaac, and getgo theeto into the land of Moriah; and offer him there foras a burnt offering uponon one of the mountains of which I will tell thee ofyou.
22:3	AndSo Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his assdonkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he clavesplit the wood for the burnt offering, and rosearose up, and went untoto the place of which God had told him.
22:4	On the third day Abraham liftedraised up his eyes, and saw the place afarfrom offa distance.
22:5	And Abraham said untoto his young men, AbideStay ye here with the assdonkey, and I and the lad will go yonder; and we will worship, and comereturn again to you.
22:6	And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it uponon Isaac his son;, and he took in his hand the fire and the knife;. andSo theythe wenttwo both of them walked on together.
22:7	And Isaac spakespoke untoto Abraham his father, and said, My father:! andAnd he said, Here I am I, my son. And he said, Behold, the fire and the wood:, but where is the lamb for athe burnt offering?
22:8	And Abraham said, God will provide himselffor Himself the lamb for athe burnt offering, my son:. soSo theythe wenttwo both of them walked on together.
22:9	AndThen they came to the place of which God had told him of; and Abraham built the altar there, and laidarranged the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son Isaac, and laid him on the altar, uponon top of the wood.
22:10	And Abraham stretched forthout his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
22:11	AndBut the angel of Jehovahthe Lord called untoto him outfrom of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham:! andAnd he said, Here I am I.
22:12	And he said, LayDo not thystretch out your hand uponagainst the lad, neitherand do thounothing anythingto unto him; for now I know that thouyou fearestfear God, seeingsince thouyou hasthave not withheld thyyour son, thineyour only son, from meMe.
22:13	AndThen Abraham liftedraised up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns:; and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the steadplace of his son.
22:14	And Abraham called the name of that place JehovahThe jireh:Lord Will Provide, as it is said to this day, In the mount of Jehovahthe Lord it shallwill be provided.
22:15	AndThen the angel of Jehovahthe Lord called untoto Abraham a second time outfrom of heaven,
22:16	and said, By myselfMyself I have I sworn, saithdeclares Jehovahthe Lord, because thouyou hasthave done this thing, and hasthave not withheld thyyour son, thineyour only son,
22:17	thatindeed in blessing I will greatly bless theeyou, and in multiplying I will greatly multiply thyyour seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is uponon the sea shoreseashore; and thyyour seed shall possess the gate of histheir enemies;.
22:18	andAnd in thyyour seed shall all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;, because thouyou hasthave obeyed myMy voice.
22:19	So Abraham returned untoto his young men, and they rosearose up and went together to Beer shebaBeersheba; and Abraham dweltlived at Beer shebaBeersheba.
22:20	AndNow it came toabout pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she also hathhas borne children untoto thyyour brother Nahor:
22:21	Uz his first born, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
22:22	and Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
22:23	And Bethuel begatbecame the father of Rebekah: these eight did Milcah bearbore to Nahor, Abrahams brother.
22:24	And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she also barebore Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maacah.
23:1	AndNow the life of Sarah waslived aone hundred and twenty seven and twenty years:; these were the years of the life of Sarah.
23:2	And Sarah died in Kiriath arba thethat same is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan:; and Abraham camewent in to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
23:3	AndThen Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spakespoke untoto the childrensons of Heth, saying,
23:4	I am a stranger and a sojourner withamong you:; give me a possessionburial ofsite aamong burying place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.
23:5	And the childrensons of Heth answered Abraham, saying untoto him,
23:6	Hear us, my Lord;, thouyou artare a mighty prince of God among us:; bury your dead in the choicechoicest of our sepulchres bury thy deadgraves; none of us shallwill withholdrefuse fromyou thee his sepulchre,grave butfor thatburying thouyour mayest bury thy dead.
23:7	AndSo Abraham rose up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the childrensons of Heth.
23:8	And he communedspoke with them, saying, If it beis your mindwish thatfor Ime shouldto bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and entreatapproach for me to Ephron the son of Zohar for me,
23:9	that he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hathowns, which is inat the end of his field; for the full price let him give it to me in theyour midstpresence of you for a possessionburial of a burying placesite.
23:10	Now Ephron was sitting inamong the midstsons of the children of Heth:; and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audiencehearing of the childrensons of Heth,; even of all thatwho went in at the gate of his city, saying,
23:11	NayNo, my Lord, hear me:; I give you the field, giveand I thee,give andyou the cave that is therein,in I give it. thee;In in the presence of the childrensons of my people I give I it thee:to you; bury thyyour dead.
23:12	And Abraham bowed himself down before the people of the land.
23:13	And he spakespoke untoto Ephron in the audiencehearing of the people of the land, saying, ButIf ifyou thouwill wilt,only Iplease praylisten thee,to hear me:; I will give the price of the field;, takeaccept it offrom me, andthat I willmay bury my dead there.
23:14	AndThen Ephron answered Abraham, saying untoto him,
23:15	My Lord, hearkenlisten untoto me:; a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that betwixtbetween me and theeyou? So bury thereforeyour thy dead.
23:16	And Abraham hearkenedlistened untoto Ephron; and Abraham weighed toout for Ephron the silver which he had named in the audiencehearing of the childrensons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currentcommercial money with the merchantstandard.
23:17	So theEphrons field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which wasfaced before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was thereinin it, and all the trees thatwhich were in the field, that were inwithin all the borderconfines thereofof roundits aboutborder, were madedeeded sureover
23:18	untoto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the childrensons of Heth, before all thatwho went in at the gate of his city.
23:19	And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field ofat Machpelah beforefacing Mamre thethat same is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan.
23:20	AndSo the field, and the cave that is thereinin it, were madedeeded sureover untoto Abraham for a possessionburial ofsite a burying place by the childrensons of Heth.
24:1	AndNow Abraham was old, andadvanced well stricken in age:; and Jehovahthe Lord had blessed Abraham in allevery thingsway.
24:2	And Abraham said untoto his servant, the elderoldest of his househousehold, thatwho ruledhad overcharge of all that he hadowned, Put,Please Iplace prayyour thee, thy hand under my thigh:,
24:3	and I will make theeyou swear by Jehovahthe Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that thouyou wiltshall not take a wife for my son offrom the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:live,
24:4	but thouyou shaltshall go untoto my country, and to my kindredrelatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac.
24:5	And the servant said untoto him, PeradventureSuppose the woman will not be willing to follow me untoto this land:; mustshould I needstake bringyour thy son againback untoto the land from whencewhere thouyou camestcame?
24:6	AndThen Abraham said untoto him, Beware thoulest thatyou thoutake bring not my son thitherback again.there!
24:7	JehovahThe Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my fathers house, and from the land of my nativitybirth, and who spakespoke untoto me, and who swareswore untoto me, saying, UntoTo thyyour seeddescendants I will I give this land;, heHe will send hisHis angel before theeyou, and thouyou shaltwill take a wife for my son from thencethere.
24:8	AndBut if the woman beis not willing to follow theeyou, then thouyou shaltwill be clearfree from this my oath; only thoudo shalt not bringtake my son thitherback againthere.
24:9	AndSo the servant putplaced his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swareswore to him concerning this matter.
24:10	AndThen the servant took ten camels, offrom the camels of his master, and departed,set havingout allwith goodlya variety of good things of his masters in his hand:; and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, untoto the city of Nahor.
24:11	And he made the camels to kneel down withoutoutside the city by the well of water at theevening time of evening, the time thatwhen women go out to draw water.
24:12	And he said, O JehovahLord, the God of my master Abraham, sendplease grant me, Isuccess pray theetoday, good speed this day, and show kindnesslovingkindness untoto my master Abraham.
24:13	Behold, I am standing by the fountainspring, of water; and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water:;
24:14	andnow letmay it comebe to pass, that the damselgirl to whom I shall say, LetPlease let down thyyour pitcher,jar Iso pray thee, that I may drink;, and shewho shall sayanswers, Drink, and I will givewater thyyour camels drink also:; letmay theshe same be shethe thatone thouwhom Thou hast appointed for thyThy servant Isaac; and therebyby shallthis I shall know that thouThou hast showedshown kindnesslovingkindness untoto my master.
24:15	And it came toabout pass, before he had donefinished speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abrahams brother Nahor, came out with her pitcherjar uponon her shoulder.
24:16	And the damselgirl was very fair to look uponbeautiful, a virgin, neitherand no man had anyhad manrelations knownwith her:; and she went down to the fountain,spring and filled her pitcherjar, and came up.
24:17	AndThen the servant ran to meet her, and said, GivePlease let me to drink, I pray thee, a little water from thyyour pitcherjar.
24:18	And she said, Drink, my Lord:; and she hasted,quickly andlowered let down her pitcherjar uponto her hand, and gave him a drink.
24:19	AndNow when she had donefinished giving him a drink, she said, I will draw also for thyyour camels also, until they have donefinished drinking.
24:20	AndSo she hasted,quickly and emptied her pitcherjar into the trough, and ran againback untoto the well to draw, and she drew for all his camels.
24:21	AndMeanwhile, the man lookedwas stedfastlygazing onat her, holdingin his peacesilence, to know whether Jehovahthe Lord had made his journey prosperoussuccessful or not.
24:22	AndThen it came to passabout, aswhen the camels had donefinished drinking, that the man took a goldengold ring ofweighing a half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her handswrists ofweighing ten shekels weightin of gold,
24:23	and said, Whose daughter artare thouyou? Please tell me, Iis pray thee. Is there room in thy fathers house for us to lodge in your fathers house?
24:24	And she said untoto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah, whom she barebore untoto Nahor.
24:25	SheAgain she said moreoverto unto him, We have plenty of both straw and provender enoughfeed, and room to lodge in.
24:26	AndThen the man bowed hislow head, and worshippedworshiped Jehovahthe Lord.
24:27	And he said, Blessed be Jehovahthe Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who hathhas not forsaken hisHis lovingkindness and hisHis truth toward my master:; as for me, Jehovahthe hathLord ledhas guided me in the way to the house of my masters brethrenbrothers.
24:28	AndThen the damselgirl ran, and told her mothers househousehold accordingabout to these wordsthings.
24:29	AndNow Rebekah had a brother, andwhose his name was Laban:; and Laban ran outoutside untoto the man, untoat the fountainspring.
24:30	And it came toabout pass,that when he saw the ring, and the bracelets uponon his sisters handswrists, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, ThusThis spakeis what the man untosaid to me;, that he camewent untoto the man; and, behold, he was standing by the camels at the fountainspring.
24:31	And he said, Come in, thou blessed of Jehovah;the whereforeLord! standestWhy thoudo without?you forstand outside since I have prepared the house, and rooma place for the camels.?
24:32	AndSo the man cameentered into the house,. andThen heLaban ungirdedunloaded the camels;, and he gave straw and provenderfeed forto the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men thatwho were with him.
24:33	AndBut therewhen food was set food before him to eat:, but he said, I will not eat, until I have told minemy errandbusiness. And he said, Speak on.
24:34	AndSo he said, I am Abrahams servant.
24:35	And Jehovahthe hathLord has greatly blessed my master, greatly;so andthat he ishas become great:rich; and heHe hathhas given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and men servants and maid servantsmaids, and camels and assesdonkeys.
24:36	AndNow Sarah my masters wife barebore a son to my master whenin sheher was old: age; and untohe himhas hathgiven hehim given all that he hathhas.
24:37	And my master made me swear, saying, ThouYou shaltshall not take a wife for my son offrom the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:live;
24:38	but thouyou shaltshall go untoto my fathers house, and to my kindredrelatives, and take a wife for my son.
24:39	And I said untoto my master, PeradventureSuppose the woman willdoes not follow me.
24:40	And he said untoto me, JehovahThe Lord, before whom I walkhave walked, will send hisHis angel with thee,you andto prospermake thyyour way;journey successful, and thouyou shaltwill take a wife for my son offrom my kindredrelatives, and offrom my fathers house:;
24:41	then shaltyou thouwill be clearfree from my oath, when thouyou comestcome to my kindredrelatives; and if they do not give her not to theeyou, thouyou shaltwill be clearfree from my oath.
24:42	AndSo I came thistoday dayto unto the fountainspring, and said, O JehovahLord, the God of my master Abraham, if now thouThou dowilt prospermake my wayjourney on which I go: successful;
24:43	behold, I am standing by the fountainspring, of water; and letmay it comebe to pass, that the maiden thatwho comethcomes forthout to draw, and to whom I shall say, GivePlease let me, Idrink pray thee, a little water from thyyour pitcher to drinkjar;
24:44	and she shallwill say to me, BothYou drink thou, and I will also draw for thyyour camels: also; let theher same be the woman whom Jehovahthe hathLord has appointed for my masters son.
24:45	AndBefore before I had donefinished speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came forthout with her pitcherjar on her shoulder;, and she went down untoto the fountain,spring and drew:; and I said untoto her, LetPlease let me drink, I pray thee.
24:46	And she madequickly haste,lowered and let down her pitcherjar from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will givewater thyyour camels drink also:; so I drank, and she madewatered the camels drink also.
24:47	AndThen I asked her, and said, Whose daughter artare thouyou? And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahors son, whom Milcah barebore untoto him:; and I put the ring uponon her nose, and the bracelets uponon her handswrists.
24:48	And I bowed mylow head, and worshippedworshiped Jehovahthe Lord, and blessed Jehovahthe Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who had ledguided me in the right way to take the daughter of my masters brotherskinsman daughter for his son.
24:49	AndSo now if yeyou willare going to deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me:; and if not, telllet me; know, that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.
24:50	Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thingmatter proceedethcomes from Jehovah:the Lord; so we cannot speak untoto theeyou bad or good.
24:51	Behold, Rebekah is before theeyou, take her, and go, and let her be thythe wife of your masters sons wifeson, as Jehovahthe hathLord has spoken.
24:52	And it came toabout pass, that, when Abrahams servant heard their words, that he bowed himself down to the earthground untobefore Jehovahthe Lord.
24:53	And the servant brought forthout jewelsarticles of silver, and jewelsarticles of gold, and raimentgarments, and gave them to Rebekah:; he also gave alsoprecious things to her brother and to her mother precious things.
24:54	AndThen they did eat and drink, he and the men thatwho were with him, ate and tarrieddrank alland spent the night;. andWhen they rosearose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away untoto my master.
24:55	AndBut her brother and her mother said, Let the damselgirl abidestay with us a few days, atsay the least ten; afterafterward that she shallmay go.
24:56	And he said untoto them, HinderDo not delay me not, seeingsince Jehovahthe hathLord has prospered my way;. sendSend me away that I may go to my master.
24:57	And they said, We will call the damsel,girl and inquireconsult at her mouthwishes.
24:58	AndThen they called Rebekah, and said untoto her, WiltWill thouyou go with this man? And she said, I will go.
24:59	AndThus they sent away Rebekah their sister, Rebekah and her nurse, andwith Abrahams servant, and his men.
24:60	And they blessed Rebekah, and said untoto her, OurMay sisteryou, beour thousister, theBecome mother of thousands of ten thousands, andAnd letmay thyyour seeddescendants possess theThe gate of those thatwho hate them.
24:61	AndThen Rebekah arose, andwith her damselsmaids, and they rodemounted upon the camels, and followed the man:. andSo the servant took Rebekah, and went his waydeparted.
24:62	AndNow Isaac camehad come from thegoing wayto of Beer lahai roi; for he dweltwas living in the land of the SouthNegev.
24:63	And Isaac went out to meditate in the field attoward theevening; eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and sawlooked, and, behold, therecamels were camels coming.
24:64	And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she alighteddismounted from the camel.
24:65	And she said untoto the servant, WhatWho man is this that walkethman walking in the field to meet us? And the servant said, ItHe is my master:. andThen she took her veil, and covered herself.
24:67	AndThen Isaac brought her into his mother Sarahs tent, and he took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her:; andthus Isaac was comforted after his mothers death.
25:1	AndNow Abraham took another wife, andwhose her name was Keturah.
25:2	And she barebore to him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
25:3	And Jokshan begatbecame the father of Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
25:4	And the sons of Midian: were Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the childrensons of Keturah.
25:5	AndNow Abraham gave all that he had untoto Isaac.;
25:6	Butbut untoto the sons of thehis concubines, that Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts; andwhile he was still living, and sent them away from Isaac his son, whileIsaac heeastward, yetto lived,the eastward,land untoof the east country.
25:7	And these are theall days of the years of Abrahams life whichthat he lived, aone hundred threescore and fifteenseventy five years.
25:8	And Abraham gavebreathed uphis thelast ghost, and died in a goodripe old age, an old man, and fullsatisfied ofwith years,life; and he was gathered to his people.
25:9	AndThen his sons Isaac and Ishmael his sons buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, whichfacing is before Mamre;,
25:10	the field which Abraham purchased offrom the childrensons of Heth:; there Abraham was Abraham buried, andwith Sarah his wife.
25:11	And it came toabout pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed Isaac his son: Isaac; and Isaac dweltlived by Beer lahai roi.
25:12	Now these are the records of the generations of Ishmael, Abrahams son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarahs handmaidmaid, barebore untoto Abraham:;
25:13	and these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, accordingin tothe order of their generationsbirth: Nebaioth, the first born of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
25:14	and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
25:15	Hadad, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:.
25:16	theseThese are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their villages, and by their encampmentscamps; twelve princes according to their nationstribes.
25:17	And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, aone hundred and thirty and seven years:; and he gavebreathed uphis thelast ghost and died, and was gathered untoto his people.
25:18	And they dweltsettled from Havilah untoto Shur thatwhich is beforeeast of Egypt, as thouone goestgoes toward Assyria:; he abodesettled overin againstdefiance of all his brethrenrelatives.
25:19	AndNow these are the records of the generations of Isaac, Abrahams son: Abraham begatbecame the father of Isaac:;
25:20	and Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the SyrianAramean of Paddan aram, the sister of Laban the SyrianAramean, to be his wife.
25:21	And Isaac entreatedprayed Jehovahto forthe Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was barren:; and Jehovahthe wasLord entreatedanswered of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
25:22	AndBut the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it beis so, whereforewhy dothen am I livethis way? AndSo she went to inquire of Jehovahthe Lord.
25:23	And Jehovahthe Lord said untoto her, Two nations are in thyyour womb,; And two peoples shall be separated from thyyour bowels:body; And the one people shall be stronger than the other people; And the elderolder shall serve the younger.
25:24	AndWhen when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25:25	AndNow the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment; and they callednamed hishim name Esau.
25:26	And afterafterward thathis brother came forth hiswith brother, and his hand hadholding hold on to Esaus heel;, andso his name was called Jacob:; and Isaac was threescoresixty years old when she baregave birth to them.
25:27	AndWhen the boys grew: andup, Esau wasbecame a skilfulskillful hunter, a man of the field; andbut Jacob was a quietpeaceful man, dwellingliving in tents.
25:28	Now Isaac loved Esau, because he didhad eata oftaste hisfor venison:game; andbut Rebekah loved Jacob.
25:29	And when Jacob boiledhad pottage:cooked andstew, Esau came in from the field, and he was faint:famished;
25:30	and Esau said to Jacob, FeedPlease let me, Ihave praya thee,swallow withof that same red pottage;stuff there, for I am faint:famished. thereforeTherefore was his name was called Edom.
25:31	AndBut Jacob said, SellFirst sell me firstyour thy birthright.
25:32	And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die:; andso of what profituse shallthen is the birthright do to me?
25:33	And Jacob said, SwearFirst swear to me first; andso he swareswore untoto him:, and he sold his birthright untoto Jacob.
25:34	AndThen Jacob gave Esau bread and pottagelentil of lentilsstew; and he didate eat and drinkdrank, and rose up, and went on his way:. soThus Esau despised his birthright.
26:1	AndNow there was a famine in the land, besides the firstprevious famine that washad occurred in the days of Abraham. AndSo Isaac went untoto Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines, unto Gerar.
26:2	And Jehovahthe Lord appeared untoto him, and said, GoDo not go down intoto Egypt; dwellstay in the land of which I shall tell thee of:you.
26:3	sojournSojourn in this land, and I will be with thee,you and will bless thee;you, for untoto thee,you and untoto thyyour seed,descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swareswore untoto Abrahamyour thyfather father;Abraham.
26:4	andAnd I will multiply thyyour seeddescendants as the stars of heaven, and will give untoyour thydescendants seed all these lands; and inby thyyour seeddescendants shall all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;
26:5	because that Abraham obeyed myMe voice, and kept myMy charge, myMy commandments, myMy statutes, and myMy laws.
26:6	AndSo Isaac dweltlived in Gerar:.
26:7	andWhen the men of the place asked himabout of his wife;, and he said, She is my sister:, for he fearedwas afraid to say, Mymy wife; lest, said hethinking, the men of the place shouldmight kill me foron account of Rebekah;, becausefor she wasis fair to look uponbeautiful.
26:8	And it came to passabout, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out atthrough a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sportingcaressing with Rebekah his wife Rebekah.
26:9	AndThen Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, ofcertainly a surety she is thyyour wife:! andHow howthen saidstdid thouyou say, She is my sister ? And Isaac said untoto him, Because I said, Lest I die becauseon account of her.
26:10	And Abimelech said, What is this thouyou hasthave done untoto us? oneOne of the people might easily have lain with thyyour wife, and thouyou wouldestwould have brought guiltinessguilt upon us.
26:11	AndSo Abimelech charged all the people, saying, He thatwho touchethtouches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.
26:12	AndNow Isaac sowed in that land, and foundreaped in the same year a hundredfold:. andAnd Jehovahthe Lord blessed him.,
26:13	Andand the man waxedbecame greatrich, and grewcontinued moreto andgrow morericher until he became very great:wealthy;
26:14	andfor he had possessions of flocks, and possessions of herds, and a great household:, andso that the Philistines envied him.
26:15	Now all the wells which his fathers servants had diggeddug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped, andup filledby filling them with earth.
26:16	AndThen Abimelech said untoto Isaac, Go away from us;, for thouyou artare muchtoo mightierpowerful thanfor weus.
26:17	And Isaac departed thence,from there and encampedcamped in the valley of Gerar, and dweltsettled there.
26:18	AndThen Isaac diggeddug again the wells of water, which they had diggedbeen dug in the days of Abraham his father; Abraham, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham:; and he calledgave theirthem namesthe aftersame the names by which his father had calledgiven them.
26:19	AndBut when Isaacs servants diggeddug in the valley, and found there a well of springingflowing water.,
26:20	And the herdsmen of Gerar strovequarreled with Isaacsthe herdsmen of Isaac, saying, The water is ours:! andSo he callednamed the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.
26:21	AndThen they diggeddug another well, and they strovequarreled forover thatit also:too, andso he callednamed the name of it Sitnah.
26:22	And he removedmoved away from thence,there and diggeddug another well;, and for that they strovedid not: andquarrel heover calledit; theso namehe ofnamed it Rehoboth;, andfor he said, ForAt nowlast Jehovahthe hathLord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
26:23	AndThen he went up from thencethere to Beer shebaBeersheba.
26:24	And Jehovahthe Lord appeared untoto him the same night, and said, I am the God of your father Abraham; thyDo father:not fear not, for I am with thee,you. andI will bless theeyou, and multiply thyyour seeddescendants, forFor mythe sake of My servant Abrahams sakeAbraham.
26:25	AndSo he buildedbuilt an altar there, and called upon the name of Jehovahthe Lord, and pitched his tent there:; and there Isaacs servants diggeddug a well.
26:26	Then Abimelech wentcame to him from Gerar, andwith Ahuzzath his friendadviser Ahuzzath, and Phicol the captaincommander of his hostarmy.
26:27	And Isaac said untoto them, WhereforeWhy arehave yeyou come untoto me, seeingsince yeyou hate me, and have sent me away from you?
26:28	And they said, We sawsee plainly that Jehovahthe wasLord has been with thee:you; andso we said, Let there now be an oath betwixtbetween us, even betwixtbetween usyou and theeus, and let us make a covenant with theeyou,
26:29	that thouyou wiltwill do us no hurtharm, just as we have not touched thee,you and as we have done untoto theeyou nothing but good, and have sent theeyou away in peace:. thouYou artare now the blessed of Jehovahthe Lord.
26:30	AndThen he made them a feast, and they didate eat and drinkdrank.
26:31	And they rose up betimes in the morning, andthey swarearose oneearly toand another:exchanged andoaths; then Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.
26:32	AndNow it came toabout passon the same day, that Isaacs servants came, in and told him concerningabout the well which they had diggeddug, and said untoto him, We have found water.
26:33	AndSo he called it Shibah:; therefore the name of the city is BeerBeersheba shebato unto this day.
26:34	And when Esau was forty years old he tookmarried to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:;
26:35	and they werebrought a grief ofto mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
27:1	AndNow it came to passabout, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were too dim, soto that he could not see, that he called Esau his elderolder son, Esau and said untoto him, My son:. andAnd he said untoto him, Here I am I.
27:2	And heIsaac said, Behold now, I am old, and I knowdo not know the day of my death.
27:3	Now therefore takethen, Iplease praytake thee,your thy weaponsgear, thyyour quiver and thyyour bow, and go out to the field, and takehunt game for me venison;
27:4	and makeprepare mea savory food,dish for me such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat;, so that my soul may bless theeyou before I die.
27:5	And Rebekah heardwas whenlistening while Isaac spakespoke to Esau his son Esau. AndSo when Esau went to the field to hunt for venison,game and to bring it.home,
27:6	And Rebekah spakesaid untoto Jacob her son, sayingJacob, Behold, I heard thyyour father speak untoto Esauyour thybrother brotherEsau, saying,
27:7	Bring me venison,some game and makeprepare mea savory fooddish for me, that I may eat, and bless theeyou beforein Jehovahthe presence of the Lord before my death.
27:8	Now therefore, my son, obeylisten my voice according to thatme whichas I command theeyou.
27:9	Go now to the flock, and fetchbring me from thence two goodchoice kids offrom thethere, goats;that and I willmay makeprepare them as a savory fooddish for thyyour father, such as he loveth:loves.
27:10	andThen thouyou shaltshall bring it to thyyour father, that he may eat, so that he may bless theeyou before his death.
27:11	And Jacob saidanswered to Rebekah his mother Rebekah, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man.
27:12	MyPerhaps my father peradventure will feel me, andthen I shall seembe to him as a deceiver in his sight; and I shall bring upon myself a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
27:13	AndBut his mother said untoto him, UponYour mecurse be thyon curseme, my son; only obey my voice, and go, fetchget them for me them.
27:14	AndSo he went, and fetchedgot them, and brought them to his mother:; and his mother made savory food, such as his father loved.
27:15	AndThen Rebekah took the goodlybest garments of Esau her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them uponon Jacob her younger son;.
27:16	andAnd she put the skins of the kids ofon the goats upon his hands, and uponon the smooth part of his neck:.
27:17	andShe shealso gave the savory food and the bread, which she had preparedmade, intoto the hand of her son Jacob.
27:18	AndThen he came untoto his father, and said, My father:. andAnd he said, Here I am. I;Who whoare art thouyou, my son?
27:19	And Jacob said untoto his father, I am Esau thyyour first born; I have done according as thouyou badesttold me:. ariseGet up, I pray theeplease, sit and eat of my venisongame, that thyyou soul may bless me.
27:20	And Isaac said untoto his son, How is it that thouyou hasthave found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because Jehovahthe thyLord your God sentcaused meit goodto speedhappen to me.
27:21	AndThen Isaac said untoto Jacob, ComePlease near,come I pray theeclose, that I may feel theeyou, my son, whether thouyou beare really my very son Esau or not.
27:22	AndSo Jacob wentcame nearclose untoto Isaac his father;, and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacobsthe voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
27:23	And he discerneddid not recognize him not, because his hands were hairy, aslike his brother Esaus hands:; so he blessed him.
27:24	And he said, ArtAre thouyou really my very son Esau? And he said, I am.
27:25	AndSo he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my sons venisongame, that myI soul may bless theeyou. And he brought it near to him, and he didate; eat:he andalso he brought him wine, and he drank.
27:26	AndThen his father Isaac said untoto him, ComePlease nearcome now,close and kiss me, my son.
27:27	AndSo he came near,close and kissed him:; and when he smelled the smell of his raimentgarments, andhe blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son Is aslike the smell of a field which Jehovahthe hathLord has blessed:;
27:28	AndNow may God give theeyou of the dew of heaven, And of the fatness of the earth, And plentyan abundance of grain and new wine:;
27:29	LetMay peoples serve theeyou, And nations bow down to thee:you; Be Lordmaster overof thyyour brethrenbrothers, And letmay thyyour mothers sons bow down to thee:you. Cursed be everythose onewho thatcurse curseth theeyou, And blessed be everythose onewho thatbless blesseth theeyou.
27:30	AndNow it came to passabout, as soon as Isaac had madefinished an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob washad yethardly scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
27:31	AndThen he also made savory food, and brought it untoto his father; and he said untoto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his sons venisongame, that thyyou soul may bless me.
27:32	And Isaac his father said untoto him, Who artare thouyou? And he said, I am thyyour son, thyyour first born, Esau.
27:33	AndThen Isaac trembled very exceedinglyviolently, and said, Who thenwas is he then that hathhunted takengame venison, and brought it to me, andso that I haveate eaten of all of it before thouyou camestcame, and have blessed him? yeaYes, and he shall be blessed.
27:34	When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out with an exceedingexceedingly great and bitter cry, and said untoto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.!
27:35	And he said, ThyYour brother came with guiledeceitfully, and hathhas taken away thyyour blessing.
27:36	AndThen he said, Is he not he rightly named Jacob?, for he hathhas supplanted me these two times:? heHe took away my birthright;, and, behold, now he hathhas taken away my blessing. And he said, HastHave thouyou not reserved a blessing for me?
27:37	AndBut Isaac answered and said untoto Esau, Behold, I have made him thyyour Lordmaster, and all his brethrenrelatives I have I given to him foras servants; and with grain and new wine I have I sustained him:. andNow whatas for you then, shallwhat can I do for thee, my son?
27:38	And Esau said untoto his father, HastDo thouyou buthave only one blessing, my father? blessBless me, even me also, O my father. AndSo Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
27:39	AndThen Isaac his father answered and said untoto him, Behold, ofaway from the fatnessfertility of the earth shall be thyyour dwelling, And ofaway from the dew of heaven from above;.
27:40	And by thyyour sword shaltyou thoushall live, andAnd thouyour shaltbrother serveyou thyshall brotherserve; AndBut it shall come toabout pass, when thouyou shaltbecome break looserestless, That thouyou shaltshall shakebreak his yoke from offyour thy neck.
27:41	AndSo Esau hatedbore a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing wherewithwith which his father had blessed him:; and Esau said into his hearthimself, The days of mourning for my father are at handnear; then I will Ikill slay my brother Jacob.
27:42	AndNow when the words of Esau her elder son Esau were toldreported to Rebekah;, and she sent and called Jacob her younger son Jacob, and said untoto him, Behold, thyyour brother Esau, asis touchingconsoling thee,himself dothconcerning comfort himselfyou, purposingby planning to kill theeyou.
27:43	Now therefore, my son, obey my voice;, and arise, flee thouto Haran, to Laban my brother to Haran;Laban!
27:44	andAnd tarrystay with him a few days, until thyyour brothers fury turn away;subsides,
27:45	until thyyour brothers anger turnagainst awayyou from theesubsides, and he forgetforgets thatwhat whichyou thoudid hast done to him:. thenThen I willshall send, and fetchget theeyou from thence:there. whyWhy should I be bereaved of you both in one day?
27:46	And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am wearytired of myliving life because of the daughters of Heth:; if Jacob taketakes a wife offrom the daughters of Heth, suchlike as these, offrom the daughters of the land, what good shallwill my life dobe to me?
28:1	AndSo Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said untoto him, ThouYou shaltshall not take a wife offrom the daughters of Canaan.
28:2	Arise, go to Paddan aram, to the house of Bethuel thyyour mothers father; and from there take theeto yourself a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thyyour mothers brother.
28:3	And may God Almighty bless thee,you and make theeyou fruitful, and multiply theeyou, that thouyou mayestmay bebecome a company of peoples;.
28:4	andMay He also give theeyou the blessing of Abraham, to thee,you and to thyyour seeddescendants with theeyou; that thouyou mayestmay inheritpossess the land of thyyour sojournings, which God gave untoto Abraham.
28:5	AndThen Isaac sent Jacob away, Jacob: and he went to Paddan aram untoto Laban, son of Bethuel the SyrianAramean, the brother of Rebekah, Jacobsthe mother of Jacob and Esaus motherEsau.
28:6	Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan aram, to take himto himself a wife from thence;there, and that aswhen he blessed him he gavecharged him a charge, saying, ThouYou shaltshall not take a wife offrom the daughters of Canaan;,
28:7	and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother, and washad gone to Paddan aram:.
28:8	andSo Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan pleaseddispleased not Isaac his father Isaac;
28:9	and Esau went untoto Ishmael, and tookmarried, besides the wives that he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abrahams son, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife.
28:10	AndThen Jacob wentdeparted out from BeerBeersheba sheba, and went toward Haran.
28:11	And he lightedcame uponto a certain place, and tarriedspent therethe allnight nightthere, because the sun washad set; and he took one of the stones of the place, and put it under his head, and lay down in that place to sleep.
28:12	And he dreamed;had anda dream, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, andwith theits top ofreaching it reached to heaven; and, behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
28:13	And, behold, Jehovahthe Lord stood above it, and said, I am Jehovahthe Lord, the God of Abrahamyour thy father, Abraham and the God of Isaac:; the land whereonon thouwhich liestyou lie, toI thee will I give it, to you and to thyyour seed;descendants.
28:14	andYour thydescendants seed shall also be aslike the dust of the earth, and thouyou shaltshall spread abroadout to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south:; and in theeyou and in thyyour seeddescendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
28:15	And, behold, I am with theeyou, and will keep theeyou whithersoeverwherever thouyou goestgo, and will bring theeyou againback intoto this land; for I will not leave thee,you until I have done thatwhat which I have spokenpromised to thee ofyou.
28:16	AndThen Jacob awakedawoke outfrom of his sleep, and he said, Surely Jehovahthe Lord is in this place;, and I knewdid not know it not.
28:17	And he was afraid, and said, How dreadfulawesome is this place! thisThis is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
28:18	AndSo Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head, and set it up foras a pillar, and poured oil uponon theits top of it.
28:19	And he called the name of that place BethBethel; el:however, butpreviously the name of the city washad been Luz at the first.
28:20	AndThen Jacob vowedmade a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me inon this wayjourney that I gotake, and will give me breadfood to eat, and raimentgarments to put onwear,
28:21	soand that I comereturn again to my fathers house in peacesafety, andthen Jehovahthe Lord will be my God,.
28:22	thenAnd this stone, which I have set up foras a pillar, shallwill be Gods house:; and of all that thouThou shaltdost give me I will surely give thea tenth untoto theeThee.
29:1	Then Jacob went on his journey, and came to the land of the childrensons of the east.
29:2	And he looked, and, behold,saw a well in the field, and, lobehold, three flocks of sheep were lying there bybeside it;, for outfrom of that well they watered the flocks:. andNow the stone uponon the wells mouth of the well was greatlarge.
29:3	AndWhen thither were all the flocks were gathered: andthere, they rolledwould then roll the stone from the wellsmouth mouthof the well, and wateredwater the sheep, and put the stone againback uponin its place on the wells mouth inof itsthe placewell.
29:4	And Jacob said untoto them, My brethrenbrothers, whencewhere are yeyou from? And they said, OfWe Haran are wefrom Haran.
29:5	And he said untoto them, KnowDo yeyou know Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.
29:6	And he said untoto them, Is it well with him? And they said, It is well:, and, behold, Rachel his daughter comethis coming with the sheep.
29:7	And he said, LoBehold, it is yetstill high day,; neitherit is itnot time thatfor the cattlelivestock shouldto be gathered. together:Water water ye the sheep, and go, andpasture feed them.
29:8	AndBut they said, We cannot, until all the flocks beare gathered together, and they roll the stone from the wellsmouth mouthof the well; then we water the sheep.
29:9	While he was yetstill speaking with them, Rachel came with her fathers sheep;, for she keptwas thema shepherdess.
29:10	And it came to passabout, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mothers brother, and the sheep of Laban his mothers brother, that Jacob went nearup, and rolled the stone from the wellsmouth mouthof the well, and watered the flock of Laban his mothers brother.
29:11	AndThen Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
29:12	And Jacob told Rachel that he was a relative of her fathersfather brother, and that he was Rebekahs son:, and she ran and told her father.
29:13	AndSo it came to passabout, when Laban heard the tidingsnews of Jacob his sisters son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. AndThen he toldrelated to Laban all these things.
29:14	And Laban said to him, Surely thouyou artare my bone and my flesh. And he abodestayed with him the space of a month.
29:15	AndThen Laban said untoto Jacob, Because thouyou artare my brotherrelative, shouldestshould thouyou therefore serve me for noughtnothing? tellTell me, what shall thyyour wages be?
29:16	AndNow Laban had two daughters:; the name of the elderolder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
29:17	And Leahs eyes were tender;weak, but Rachel was beautiful of form and well favoredface.
29:18	AndNow Jacob loved Rachel;, andso he said, I will serve theeyou seven years for Rachelyour thy younger daughter Rachel.
29:19	And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee,you than that I should give her to another man:; abidestay with me.
29:20	AndSo Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed untoto him but a few days, forbecause theof his love hefor had to her.
29:21	AndThen Jacob said untoto Laban, Give me my wife, for my daystime areis fulfilledcompleted, that I may go in untoto her.
29:22	And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
29:23	AndNow it came toabout pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter Leah, and brought her to him; and heJacob went in untoto her.
29:24	And Laban also gave Zilpah his handmaidmaid untoZilpah to his daughter Leah foras a handmaidmaid.
29:25	AndSo it came toabout pass in the morning that, behold, it was Leah:! andAnd he said to Laban, What is this thouyou hasthave done untoto me? didWas it not for Rachel that I serveserved with thee for Rachelyou? whereforeWhy then hasthave thouyou beguileddeceived me?
29:26	AndBut Laban said, It is not sothe donepractice in our place, to givemarry off the younger before the first born.
29:27	FulfilComplete the week of this one, and we will give theeyou the other also for the service which thouyou shaltshall serve with me yetfor another seven other years.
29:28	And Jacob did so, and fulfilledcompleted her week:, and he gave him Rachel his daughter toRachel as his wife.
29:29	And Laban also gave to Rachel his daughtermaid Bilhah to his handmaiddaughter toRachel beas her handmaidmaid.
29:30	AndSo heJacob went in alsoto untoRachel Rachelalso, and indeed he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and he served with himLaban yetfor another seven other years.
29:31	AndNow Jehovahthe Lord saw that Leah was hatedunloved, and heHe opened her womb:, but Rachel was barren.
29:32	And Leah conceived, and barebore a son, and shenamed calledhim his name Reuben:, for she said, Because Jehovahthe hathLord lookedhas uponseen my affliction; forsurely now my husband will love me.
29:33	AndThen she conceived again, and barebore a son: and said, Because Jehovahthe hathLord has heard that I am hatedunloved, heHe hathhas therefore given me this son also:. andSo she callednamed hishim name Simeon.
29:34	And she conceived again, and barebore a son; and said, Now this time will my husband bewill joinedbecome untoattached to me, because I have borne him three sons:. thereforeTherefore he was hisnamed name called Levi.
29:35	And she conceived again, and barebore a son: and she said, This time I will I praise Jehovah:the thereforeLord. Therefore she callednamed hishim name Judah;. andThen she leftstopped off bearing.
30:1	AndNow when Rachel saw that she barebore Jacob no children, Rachelshe enviedbecame jealous of her sister; and she said untoto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.
30:2	AndThen Jacobs anger wasburned kindled against Rachel:, and he said, Am I in Godsthe steadplace of God, who hathhas withheld from theeyou the fruit of the womb?
30:3	And she said, Behold,Here is my maid Bilhah, go in untoto her;, that she may bear uponon my knees, andthat through her I alsotoo may obtainhave children by her.
30:4	AndSo she gave him her maid Bilhah heras handmaida to wife:, and Jacob went in untoto her.
30:5	And Bilhah conceived, and barebore Jacob a son.
30:6	AndThen Rachel said, God hathhas judgedvindicated me, and hathhas alsoindeed heard my voice, and hathhas given me a son:. thereforeTherefore called she hisnamed namehim Dan.
30:7	And Bilhah Rachels handmaidmaid Bilhah conceived again, and barebore Jacob a second son.
30:8	AndSo Rachel said, With mighty wrestlings I have I wrestled with my sister, and I have indeed prevailed:. andAnd she callednamed hishim name Naphtali.
30:9	When Leah saw that she had leftstopped off bearing, she took Zilpah her handmaid,maid Zilpah and gave her to Jacob toas a wife.
30:10	And Zilpah Leahs handmaidmaid bareZilpah bore Jacob a son.
30:11	AndThen Leah said, FortunateHow fortunate! andSo she callednamed hishim name Gad.
30:12	And Zilpah Leahs handmaidmaid bareZilpah bore Jacob a second son.
30:13	AndThen Leah said, Happy am I! forFor thewomen daughters will call me happy:. andSo she callednamed hishim name Asher.
30:14	AndNow Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, Reuben went and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them untoto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, GivePlease give me, Isome pray thee, of thyyour sons mandrakes.
30:15	AndBut she said untoto her, Is it a small matter thatfor thouyou hastto takentake away my husband? andAnd wouldestwould thouyou take away my sons mandrakes also? AndSo Rachel said, Therefore he shallmay lie with theeyou totonight nightin return for thyyour sons mandrakes.
30:16	AndWhen Jacob came in from the field in the evening, andthen Leah went out to meet him, and said, ThouYou must come in untoto me;, for I have surely hired theeyou with my sons mandrakes. AndSo he lay with her that night.
30:17	And God hearkenedgave untoheed to Leah, and she conceived, and barebore Jacob a fifth son.
30:18	AndThen Leah said, God hathhas given me my hirewages, because I gave my handmaidmaid to my husband:. andSo she callednamed hishim name Issachar.
30:19	And Leah conceived again, and barebore a sixth son to Jacob.
30:20	AndThen Leah said, God hathhas endowed me with a good dowrygift; now will my husband will dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons:. andSo she callednamed hishim name Zebulun.
30:21	And afterwardsafterward she barebore a daughter, and callednamed her name Dinah.
30:22	AndThen God remembered Rachel, and God hearkenedgave heed to her, and opened her womb.
30:23	AndSo she conceived, and barebore a son: and said, God hathhas taken away my reproach:.
30:24	andAnd she callednamed hishim name Joseph, saying, JehovahMay addthe toLord give me another son.
30:25	AndNow it came toabout pass, when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said untoto Laban, Send me away, that I may go untoto minemy own place, and to my own country.
30:26	Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served theeyou, and let me go:depart; for thouyou knowestyourself know my service wherewithwhich I have servedrendered theeyou.
30:27	AndBut Laban said untoto him, If now Iit havepleases foundyou, favorstay inwith thineme; eyes, tarry: for I have divined that Jehovahthe hathLord has blessed me foron thyyour sakeaccount.
30:28	And he saidcontinued, AppointName me thyyour wages, and I will give it.
30:29	AndBut he said untoto him, ThouYou knowestyourself know how I have served thee,you and how thyyour cattle have fared with me.
30:30	For ityou washad little which thou hadst before I came, and it hathhas increased untoto a multitude; and Jehovahthe hathLord has blessed theeyou whithersoeverwherever I turned:. andBut now, when shall I provide for minemy own househousehold also?
30:31	AndSo he said, What shall I give theeyou? And Jacob said, ThouYou shaltshall not give me aught:anything. ifIf thouyou wiltwill do this one thing for me, I will again feedpasture thy flock and keep it.your flock:
30:32	Ilet willme pass through allyour thyentire flock to daytoday, removing from thencethere every speckled and spotted onesheep, and every black one among the sheeplambs, and the spotted and speckled among the goats:; and of such shall be my hirewages.
30:33	So shall my righteousnesshonesty will answer for me hereafterlater, when thouyou shalt come concerning my hirewages. thatEvery is before thee: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and black among the sheeplambs, that, if found with me, shallwill be countedconsidered stolen.
30:34	And Laban said, BeholdGood, Ilet would it might be according to thyyour word.
30:35	AndSo he removed on that day the hestriped goatsand thatspotted weremale ringstreakedgoats and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted female goats, every one thatwith had white in it, and all the black ones among the sheep, and gave them into the handcare of his sons;.
30:36	andAnd he setput a distance of three days journey betwixtbetween himself and Jacob:, and Jacob fed the rest of Labans flocks.
30:37	AndThen Jacob took himfresh rods of fresh poplar, and of the almond and of the plane tree;trees, and peeled white streaksstripes in them, andexposing made the white appear which was in the rods.
30:38	And he set the rods which he had peeled overin againstfront of the flocks in the gutters, even in the watering troughs, where the flocks came to drink; and they conceivedmated when they came to drink.
30:39	AndSo the flocks conceivedmated beforeby the rods, and the flocks brought forth ringstreakedstriped, speckled, and spotted.
30:40	And Jacob separated the lambs, and setmade the facesflocks offace the flocks toward the ringstreakedstriped and all the black in the flock of Laban:; and he put his own drovesherds apart, and did not put them notwith unto Labans flock.
30:41	AndMoreover, it came toabout pass,whenever whensoever the stronger of the flock didwere conceivemating, that Jacob laidwould place the rods beforein the eyessight of the flock in the gutters, so that they might conceivemate amongby the rods;
30:42	but when the flock werewas feeble, he did not put them not in:; so the feebler were Labans, and the stronger Jacobs.
30:43	AndSo the man increasedbecame exceedingly prosperous, and had large flocks, and maidfemale servants and menmale servants, and camels and assesdonkeys.
31:1	AndNow heJacob heard the words of Labans sons, saying, Jacob hathhas taken away all that was our fathers;, and offrom thatwhat whichbelonged wasto our fathersfather hath he gottenhas made all this glorywealth.
31:2	And Jacob beheldsaw the countenanceattitude of Laban, and, behold, it was not friendly toward him as beforetimeformerly.
31:3	AndThen Jehovahthe Lord said untoto Jacob, Return untoto the land of thyyour fathers, and to thyyour kindred;relatives, and I will be with theeyou.
31:4	AndSo Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to thehis fieldflock untoin histhe flockfield,
31:5	and said untoto them, I see your fathers countenanceattitude, that it is not friendly toward me as beforetime;formerly, but the God of my father hathhas been with me.
31:6	And yeyou know that with all my power I have served your father with all my strength.
31:7	AndYet your father hathhas deceivedcheated me, and changed my wages ten times; buthowever, God suffereddid not allow him not to hurt me.
31:8	If he saidspoke thus, The speckled shall be thyyour wages;, then all the flock barebrought forth speckled:; and if he saidspoke thus, The ringstreakedstriped shall be thyyour wages;, then bare all the flock ringstreakedbrought forth striped.
31:9	Thus God hathhas taken away theyour cattlefathers oflivestock your father, and given them to me.
31:10	And it came toabout pass at the time thatwhen the flock conceive,were mating that I lifted up minemy eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the hemale goats which leapedwere uponmating the flock were ringstreakedstriped, speckled, and grizzledmottled.
31:11	AndThen the angel of God said untoto me in the dream, Jacob:, and I said, Here I am I.
31:12	And he said, Lift up, now, thineyour eyes, and see: that all the hemale goats which leapare uponmating the flock are ringstreakedstriped, speckled, and grizzled:mottled; for I have seen all that Laban doethhas untobeen theedoing to you.
31:13	I am the God of Beth elBethel, where thouyou anointedstanointed a pillar, where thouyou vowedstmade a vow untoto me:Me; now arise, getleave thee out from this land, and return untoto the land of thyyour nativitybirth.
31:14	And Rachel and Leah answered and said untoto him, IsDo therewe yetstill have any portion or inheritance for us in our fathers house?
31:15	Are we not accountedreckoned by him as foreigners? forFor he hathhas sold us, and hathhas also quiteentirely devouredconsumed our moneypurchase price.
31:16	ForSurely all the richeswealth which God hathhas taken away from our father, thatbelongs isto oursus and our childrens:children; now then, whatsoeverdo whatever God hathhas said untoto thee, doyou.
31:17	Then Jacob rosearose up, and setput his sonschildren and his wives upon the camels;
31:18	and he carrieddrove away all his cattle,livestock and all his substanceproperty which he had gathered, thehis cattleacquired oflivestock his getting, which he had gathered in Paddan aram, to go to Isaacthe hisland fatherof untoCanaan theto landhis offather CanaanIsaac.
31:19	NowWhen Laban washad gone to shear his sheep:flock, andthen Rachel stole the teraphimhousehold idols that were her fathers.
31:20	And Jacob stoledeceived away unawares to Laban the SyrianAramean, inby thatnot hetelling told him not that he fledwas fleeing.
31:21	So he fled with all that he had; and he rosearose up, and passedcrossed over the Euphrates River, and set his face toward the mountainhill country of Gilead.
31:22	AndWhen it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob washad fled.,
31:23	Andthen he took his brethrenkinsmen with him, and pursued after him a distance of seven days journey; and he overtook him in the mountainhill country of Gilead.
31:24	And God came to Laban the SyrianAramean in a dream of the night, and said untoto him, TakeBe heedcareful tothat thyselfyou thatdo thounot speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
31:25	And Laban camecaught up with Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mountain:hill country, and Laban with his brethrenkinsmen encampedcamped in the mountainhill country of Gilead.
31:26	AndThen Laban said to Jacob, What hasthave thouyou done, thatby thoudeceiving hast stolen away unawares to me, and carriedcarrying away my daughters aslike captives of the sword?
31:27	WhereforeWhy didstdid thouyou flee secretly, and stealdeceive away from me, and didstdid not tell me, so that I might have sent theeyou away with mirthjoy and with songs, with tabrettimbrel and with harplyre;
31:28	and didstdid not sufferallow me to kiss my sons and my daughters? nowNow hastyou thouhave done foolishly.
31:29	It is in themy power of my hand to do you hurt:harm, but the God of your father spakespoke untoto me yesternightlast night, saying, TakeBe heedcareful to thyself that thou speak not to Jacobspeak either good or bad to Jacob.
31:30	And now, thoughyou thouhave wouldestindeed needsgone beaway gone, because thouyou sorelonged longedstgreatly afterfor thyyour fathers house,; yetbut whereforewhy hastdid thouyou stolensteal my gods?
31:31	AndThen Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid:, for I said, Lest thouyou shouldestwould take thyyour daughters from me by force.
31:32	WithThe whomsoeverone thouwith findestwhom thyyou find your gods, he shall not live:; beforein the presence of our brethrenkinsmen discernpoint thouout what is thineyours withamong me,my belongings and take it tofor theeyourself. For Jacob knewdid not know that Rachel had stolen them.
31:33	AndSo Laban went into Jacobs tent, and into Leahs tent, and into the tent of the two maidmaids, servants; but he founddid not find them not. AndThen he went out of Leahs tent, and entered into Rachels tent.
31:34	Now Rachel had taken the teraphim,household idols and put them in the camels saddle, and she sat uponon them. And Laban felt aboutthrough all the tent, but founddid not find them not.
31:35	And she said to her father, Let not my Lord be angry that I cannot rise up before thee;you, for the manner of women is upon me. AndSo he searched, but founddid not find the teraphimhousehold idols.
31:36	AndThen Jacob wasbecame wroth,angry and chodecontended with Laban:; and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespasstransgression? whatWhat is my sin, that thouyou hasthave hotly pursued after me?
31:37	WhereasThough thouyou hasthave felt aboutthrough all my stuffgoods, what hasthave thouyou found of all thyyour household stuffgoods? Set it here before my brethrenkinsmen and thyyour brethrenkinsmen, that they may judgedecide betwixtbetween us two.
31:38	These twenty years I have I been with theeyou; thyyour ewes and thyyour shefemale goats have not castmiscarried, theirnor young,have andI eaten the rams of thyyour flocks have I not eaten.
31:39	That which was torn of beasts I broughtdid not untobring theeto you; I barebore the loss of it; ofmyself. myYou handrequired didstit thouof requiremy it,hand whether stolen by day or stolen by night.
31:40	Thus I was;: inby the day the droughtheat consumed me, and the frost by night;, and my sleep fled from minemy eyes.
31:41	These twenty years I have I been in thyyour house; I served theeyou fourteen years for thyyour two daughters, and six years for thyyour flock:, and thouyou hast changed my wages ten times.
31:42	ExceptIf the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the Fearfear of Isaac, had not been withfor me, surely now hadstyou thouwould have sent me away empty handed. God hathhas seen minemy affliction and the labortoil of my hands, andso rebukedHe theerendered yesternightjudgment last night.
31:43	AndThen Laban answered and said untoto Jacob, The daughters are my daughters, and the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks, and all that thouyou seestsee is mine:. andBut what can I do this day untoto these my daughters, or untoto their children whom they have borne?
31:44	AndSo now come, let us make a covenant, Iyou and thou;I, and let it be for a witness between meyou and theeme.
31:45	AndThen Jacob took a stone, and set it up foras a pillar.
31:46	And Jacob said untoto his brethrenkinsmen, Gather stones;. andSo they took stones, and made a heap:, and they didate eat there by the heap.
31:47	AndNow Laban called it Jegar sahasahadutha, dutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.
31:48	And Laban said, This heap is a witness between meyou and theeme this day. Therefore it was thenamed name of it called Galeed:;
31:49	and Mizpah, for he said, JehovahMay the Lord watch between meyou and thee,me when we are absent one from anotherthe other.
31:50	If thouyou shaltmistreat afflict my daughters, andor if thouyou shalt take wives besides my daughters, although no man is with us;, see, God is witness betwixtbetween meyou and theeme.
31:51	And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold the pillar, which I have set betwixtbetween meyou and theeme.
31:52	This heap beis a witness, and the pillar beis a witness, that I will not pass overby this heap to theeyou for harm, and thatyou thouwill shalt not pass overby this heap and this pillar untoto me, for harm.
31:53	The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixtbetween us. AndSo Jacob swareswore by the Fearfear of his father Isaac.
31:54	AndThen Jacob offered a sacrifice inon the mountain, and called his brethrenkinsmen to eatthe bread:meal; and they didate eatthe bread,meal and tarriedspent allthe night inon the mountain.
31:55	And early in the morning Laban rose uparose, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them:. andThen Laban departed, and returned untoto his place.
32:1	AndNow as Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
32:2	And Jacob said when he saw them, This is Gods host:camp. andSo he callednamed the name of that place Mahanaim.
32:3	AndThen Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother untoEsau in the land of Seir, the fieldcountry of Edom.
32:4	AndHe healso commanded them, saying, Thus you shall ye say untoto my Lord Esau: Thus saithsays thyyour servant Jacob, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed until now:;
32:5	and I have oxen, and asses,donkeys and flocks, and menmale servants, and maidfemale servants:; and I have sent to tell my Lord, that I may find favor in thyyour sight.
32:6	And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thyyour brother Esau, and moreoverfurthermore he comethis coming to meet theeyou, and four hundred men are with him.
32:7	Then Jacob was greatly afraid and was distressed:; and he divided the people thatwho were with him, and the flocks, and the herds, and the camels, into two companies;
32:8	andfor he said, If Esau comecomes to the one company, and smiteattacks it, then the company which is left shallwill escape.
32:9	And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, O JehovahLord, who saidstdidst untosay to me, Return untoto thyyour country, and to thyyour kindredrelatives, and I will doprosper thee good:you,
32:10	I am notunworthy worthy of the least of all the lovingkindnesses,lovingkindness and of all the truth,faithfulness which thouThou hast showedshown untoto thyThy servant; for with my staff only I passedcrossed over this Jordan;, and now I amhave become two companies.
32:11	Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau:; for I fear him, lest he come and smiteattack me, the mothermothers with the children.
32:12	AndFor thouThou saidstdidst say, I will surely doprosper thee goodyou, and make thyyour seeddescendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
32:13	AndSo he lodgedspent therethe that night, andthere. tookThen ofhe thatselected whichfrom what he had with him a present for Esau his brother Esau:
32:14	two hundred shefemale goats and twenty hemale goats, two hundred ewes and twenty rams,
32:15	thirty milchmilking camels and their colts, forty cows and ten bulls, twenty shefemale assesdonkeys and ten foalsmale donkeys.
32:16	And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by itself, and said untoto his servants, Pass overon before me, and put a space betwixtbetween drove and drovedroves.
32:17	And he commanded the foremostone in front, saying, When Esau my brother meetethEsau thee,meets you and askethasks theeyou, saying, WhoseTo artwhom thou?do you belong, and whitherwhere goestare thou?you going, and whoseto arewhom do these beforeanimals theein front of you belong?
32:18	then thouyou shaltshall say, TheyThese arebelong thyto your servant JacobsJacob; it is a present sent untoto my Lord Esau:. and,And behold, he also is behind us.
32:19	AndThen he commanded also the second, and the third, and all thatthose who followed the droves, saying, OnAfter this manner you shall ye speak untoto Esau, when yeyou find him;
32:20	and yeyou shall say, MoreoverBehold, behold,your thy servant Jacob also is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goethgoes before me,. andThen afterward I will see his face; peradventureperhaps he will accept me.
32:21	So the present passed overon before him:, andwhile he himself lodgedspent that night in the companycamp.
32:22	AndNow he rosearose up that same night, and took his two wives, and his two handmaids,maids and his eleven children, and passedcrossed over the ford of the Jabbok.
32:23	And he took them, and sent them overacross the stream,. andAnd he sent overacross thatwhatever which he had.
32:24	AndThen Jacob was left alone;, and there wrestled a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the daydaybreak.
32:25	And when he saw that he prevailedhad not prevailed against him, he touched the hollowsocket of his thigh; andso the hollowsocket of Jacobs thigh was strained,dislocated aswhile he wrestled with him.
32:26	AndThen he said, Let me go, for the daydawn breakethis breaking. AndBut he said, I will not let theeyou go, exceptunless thouyou bless me.
32:27	AndSo he said untoto him, What is thyyour name? And he said, Jacob.
32:28	And he said, ThyYour name shall beno calledlonger nobe more Jacob, but Israel:; for thouyou hasthave striven with God and with men, and hasthave prevailed.
32:29	AndThen Jacob asked him, and said, TellPlease tell me, Iyour pray thee, thy name. AndBut he said, WhereforeWhy is it that thouyou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
32:30	AndSo Jacob callednamed the name of the place Peniel:, for, he said he, I have seen God face to face, andyet my life ishas been preserved.
32:31	AndNow the sun rose upon him just as he passedcrossed over Penuel, and he limpedwas uponlimping on his thigh.
32:32	Therefore, to this day the childrensons of Israel eatdo not eat the sinew of the hip which is uponon the hollowsocket of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollowsocket of Jacobs thigh in the sinew of the hip.
33:1	AndThen Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men with him. AndSo he divided the children untoamong Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaidsmaids.
33:2	And he put the handmaidsmaids and their children foremostin front, and Leah and her children afternext, and Rachel and Joseph hindermostlast.
33:3	AndBut he himself passed overon beforeahead of them, and bowed himselfdown to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
33:4	AndThen Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him:, and they wept.
33:5	And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children;, and said, Who are these with theeyou? AndSo he said, The children whom God hathhas graciously given thyyour servant.
33:6	Then the handmaidsmaids came near, theywith and their children, and they bowed themselvesdown.
33:7	And Leah alsolikewise andcame near with her children came near, and they bowed themselves:down; and afterafterward Joseph came Joseph near andwith Rachel, and they bowed themselvesdown.
33:8	And he said, What meanestdo thouyou mean by all this company which I have met? And he said, To find favor in the sight of my Lord.
33:9	AndBut Esau said, I have enoughplenty, my brother; let thatwhat whichyou thouhave hast be thineyour own.
33:10	And Jacob said, NayNo, I pray theeplease, if now I have found favor in thyyour sight, then receivetake my present atfrom my hand;, forasmuchfor as I havesee seenyour thy face, as one seethsees the face of God, and thouyou wasthave pleasedreceived withme mefavorably.
33:11	Take,Please Itake pray thee, my gift thatwhich ishas been brought to thee;you, because God hathhas dealt graciously with me, and because I have enoughplenty. AndThus he urged him, and he took it.
33:12	AndThen heEsau said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before theeyou.
33:13	AndBut he said untoto him, My Lord knowethknows that the children are tender,frail and that the flocks and herds withwhich meare havenursing theirare young:a andcare to me. And if they overdriveare themdriven hard one day, all the flocks will die.
33:14	LetPlease let my Lord, I pray thee, pass overon before his servant:; and I will leadproceed onat gentlymy leisure, according to the pace of the cattle that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come untoto my Lord untoat Seir.
33:15	And Esau said, LetPlease let me now leave with theeyou some of the folkpeople thatwho are with me. AndBut he said, What needethneed itis there? letLet me find favor in the sight of my Lord.
33:16	So Esau returned that day on his way untoto Seir.
33:17	And Jacob journeyed to Succoth,; and built himfor himself a house, and made booths for his cattle:livestock, therefore the name of the place is callednamed Succoth.
33:18	AndNow Jacob came insafely peace to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Paddan aram;, and encampedcamped before the city.
33:19	And he bought the parcelpiece of ground,land where he had spreadpitched his tent, atfrom the hand of the childrensons of Hamor, Shechems father, for aone hundred pieces of money.
33:20	AndThen he erected there an altar, and called it El Elohe Israel.
34:1	AndNow Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she barehad untoborne to Jacob, went out to seevisit the daughters of the land.
34:2	And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her;, and he took her, and lay with her, andby humbled herforce.
34:3	And hishe soulwas clavedeeply untoattracted to Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel,girl and spakespoke kindlytenderly untoto the damselher.
34:4	AndSo Shechem spakespoke untoto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damselyoung togirl for a wife.
34:5	Now Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter; andbut his sons were with his cattlelivestock in the field:, andso Jacob heldkept hissilent peace until they came in.
34:6	AndThen Hamor the father of Shechem went out untoto Jacob to communespeak with him.
34:7	AndNow the sons of Jacob came in from the field when they heard it:; and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth,angry because he had wroughtdone follya disgraceful thing in Israel inby lying with Jacobs daughter;, whichfor such a thing ought not to be done.
34:8	AndBut Hamor communedspoke with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longethlongs for your daughter:; Iplease pray you, give her untoto him toin wifemarriage.
34:9	And makeintermarry ye marriages with us; give your daughters untoto us, and take our daughters untofor youyourselves.
34:10	AndThus yeyou shall dwelllive with us:, and the land shall be open before you; dwelllive and trade yein thereinit, and getacquire youproperty possessionsin thereinit.
34:11	And Shechem also said untoto her father and untoto her brethrenbrothers, LetIf meI find favor in your eyessight, andthen whatI yewill shallgive whatever you say untoto me I will give.
34:12	Ask me neverever so much dowrybridal payment and gift, and I will give according as yeyou shall say untoto me:; but give me the damselgirl toin wifemarriage.
34:13	AndBut theJacobs sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father Hamor, with guiledeceit, and spakespoke to them, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,.
34:14	andAnd they said untoto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one thatwho is uncircumcised;, for that werewould be a reproachdisgrace untoto us.
34:15	Only on this condition will we consent untoto you: if yeyou will bebecome aslike we areus, in that every male of you be circumcised;,
34:16	then we will we give our daughters untoto you, and we will take your daughters tofor usourselves, and we will dwelllive with you, and we will become one people.
34:17	But if yeyou will not hearkenlisten untoto us, to be circumcised;, then we will we take our daughter, and we will be gonego.
34:18	AndNow their words pleasedseemed reasonable to Hamor, and Shechem, Hamors son.
34:19	And the young man deferreddid not delay to do the thing, because he hadwas delightdelighted inwith Jacobs daughter:. andNow he was honoredmore aboverespected than all the househousehold of his father.
34:20	AndSo Hamor and Shechem his son Shechem came untoto the gate of their city, and communedspoke withto the men of their city, saying,
34:21	These men are peaceablefriendly with us; therefore let them dwelllive in the land, and trade therein;in forit, for behold, the land is large enough for them;. letLet us take their daughters toin us for wivesmarriage, and let us give them our daughters to them.
34:22	Only on this condition will the men consent untoto us to dwelllive with us, to become one people,: ifthat every male among us be circumcised, as they are circumcised.
34:23	ShallWill not their cattlelivestock and their substanceproperty and all their beastsanimals be ours? onlyOnly let us consent untoto them, and they will dwelllive with us.
34:24	And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all thatwho went out of the gate of his city; listened to Hamor and to his son Shechem, and every male was circumcised, all thatwho went out of the gate of his city.
34:25	AndNow it came toabout pass on the third day, when they were sorein pain, that two of theJacobs sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinahs brethrenbrothers, took each mantook his sword, and came upon the city unawares, and slewkilled allevery the malesmale.
34:26	And they slewkilled Hamor and Shechem his son Shechem with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah outfrom of Shechems house, and went forth.
34:27	TheJacobs sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and plunderedlooted the city, because they had defiled their sister.
34:28	They took their flocks and their herds and their assesdonkeys, and that which was in the city, and that which was in the field;
34:29	and they captured and looted all their wealth, and all their little ones and their wives, took they captive and made a prey, even all that was in the househouses.
34:30	AndThen Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, YeYou have troubledbrought trouble on me, toby makemaking me odious toamong the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites:; and, Imy men being few in number, they will gather themselves together against me and smiteattack me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my househousehold.
34:31	AndBut they said, Should he dealtreat with our sister as with a harlot?
35:1	AndThen God said untoto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth elBethel, and dwelllive there:; and make there an altar untothere to God, who appeared untoto theeyou when thouyou fleddestfled from theyour facebrother of Esau thy brother.
35:2	ThenSo Jacob said untoto his household, and to all thatwho were with him, Put away the foreign gods thatwhich are among you, and purify yourselves, and change your garments:;
35:3	and let us arise, and go up to Beth elBethel; and I will make there an altar untothere to God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and washas been with me inwherever theI wayhave which I wentgone.
35:4	AndSo they gave untoto Jacob all the foreign gods which werethey in their handhad, and the rings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was bynear Shechem.
35:5	AndAs they journeyed:, andthere was a great terror of God was upon the cities thatwhich were roundaround about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
35:6	So Jacob came to Luz that is, Bethel, which is in the land of Canaan the same is Beth el, he and all the people thatwho were with him.
35:7	And he built there an altar there, and called the place El bethbethel, el; because there God washad revealed untoHimself to him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
35:8	AndNow Deborah, Rebekahs nurse, died, and she was buried below BethBethel el under the oak:; and the name of it was callednamed Allon bacuth.
35:9	AndThen God appeared untoto Jacob again, when he came from Paddan aram, and He blessed him.
35:10	And God said untoto him, ThyYour name is Jacob:; thyYou name shall notno longer be called any more Jacob, butBut Israel shall be thyyour name:. andThus heHe called hishim name Israel.
35:11	And God also said untoto him, I am God Almighty:; beBe fruitful and multiply; aA nation and a company of nations shall become offrom theeyou, andAnd kings shall come outforth offrom thy loins;you.
35:12	andAnd the land which I gave untoto Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thyyou, seedAnd afterI thee will I give the land to your descendants after you.
35:13	AndThen God went up from him in the place where heHe spakehad spoken with him.
35:14	And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where heHe spakehad spoken with him, a pillar of stone:, and he poured out a drinklibation offeringon thereon,it; andhe also poured oil thereonon it.
35:15	AndSo Jacob callednamed the name of the place where God spakehad spoken with him, Beth elBethel.
35:16	AndThen they journeyed from Beth elBethel; and when there was still some distance to comego to Ephrath:, and Rachel travailed,began to give birth and she hadsuffered hardsevere labor.
35:17	And it came toabout pass, when she was in hardsevere labor, that the midwife said untoto her, FearDo not; fear, for now thouyou shalt have another son.
35:18	And it came toabout pass, as her soul was departing for she died, that she callednamed hishim name Ben oni:; but his father called him Benjamin.
35:19	AndSo Rachel died, and was buried inon the way to Ephrath thethat same is, Beth lehemBethlehem.
35:20	And Jacob set up a pillar uponover her grave:; thethat same is the Pillarpillar of Rachels grave untoto this day.
35:21	AndThen Israel journeyed, on and spreadpitched his tent beyond the tower of Eder.
35:22	And it came toabout pass, while Israel dweltwas dwelling in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his fathers concubine:; and Israel heard of it. Now thethere were twelve sons of Jacob were twelve:
35:23	the sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacobs first born, andthen Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun;
35:25	and the sons of Bilhah, Rachels handmaidmaid: Dan and Naphtali;
35:26	and the sons of Zilpah, Leahs handmaidmaid: Gad and Asher:. theseThese are the sons of Jacob, thatwho were born to him in Paddan aram.
35:27	And Jacob came untoto Isaac his father toIsaac at Mamre, toof Kiriath arba thethat same is, Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac had sojourned.
35:28	AndNow the days of Isaac were aone hundred and fourscoreeighty years.
35:29	And Isaac gavebreathed uphis thelast ghost, and died, and was gathered untoto his people, an old andman full of days:ripe age; and his sons Esau and Jacob his sons buried him.
36:1	Now these are the records of the generations of Esau thethat same is, Edom.
36:2	Esau took his wives offrom the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, and the daughtergranddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite,;
36:3	andalso Basemath, Ishmaels daughter, the sister of Nebaioth.
36:4	And Adah barebore Eliphaz to Esau, Eliphaz; and Basemath barebore Reuel;,
36:5	and Oholibamah barebore Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah:. theseThese are the sons of Esau, thatwho were born untoto him in the land of Canaan.
36:6	AndThen Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the souls of his househousehold, and his cattle,livestock and all his beasts,cattle and all his possessions,goods which he had gatheredacquired in the land of Canaan;, and went intoto aanother land away from his brother Jacob.
36:7	For their substanceproperty washad become too great for them to dwelllive together;, and the land ofwhere theirthey sojourningssojourned could not bearsustain them because of their cattlelivestock.
36:8	AndSo Esau dweltlived in mountthe hill country of Seir:; Esau is Edom.

36:43	chief Magdiel, chief Iram:. theseThese are the chiefs of Edom that is, Esau, the father of the Edomites, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau, the father of the Edomites.
37:1	AndNow Jacob dweltlived in the land ofwhere his fathersfather sojourningshad sojourned, in the land of Canaan.
37:2	These are the records of the generations of Jacob. Joseph, beingwhen seventeen years oldof age, was feedingpasturing the flock with his brethren;brothers andwhile he was still a ladyouth, along with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his fathers wives:. andAnd Joseph brought theback evila bad report ofabout them untoto their father.
37:3	Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his childrensons, because he was the son of his old age:; and he made him a coatvaricolored of many colorstunic.
37:4	And his brethrenbrothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brethrenbrothers; and so they hated him, and could not speak peaceablyto untohim himon friendly terms.
37:5	AndThen Joseph dreamedhad a dream, and when he told it to his brethren:brothers, and they hated him yeteven the more.
37:6	And he said untoto them, Hear,Please Ilisten prayto you, this dream which I have dreamed:had;
37:7	for, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose,rose up and also stood uprighterect; and, behold, your sheaves camegathered roundaround about, and madebowed obeisancedown to my sheaf.
37:8	AndThen his brethrenbrothers said to him, ShaltAre thouyou indeedactually going to reign over us? orOr shaltare thouyou indeedreally havegoing dominionto rule over us? AndSo they hated him yeteven the more for his dreams, and for his words.
37:9	AndNow he dreamedhad yetstill another dream, and toldrelated it to his brethrenbrothers, and said, BeholdLo, I have dreamedhad yetstill aanother dream; and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars madewere obeisancebowing down to me.
37:10	And he toldrelated it to his father, and to his brethrenbrothers; and his father rebuked him, and said untoto him, What is this dream that thouyou hasthave dreamedhad? Shall I and thyyour mother and thyyour brethrenbrothers indeedactually come to bow ourselves down ourselvesbefore toyou thee to the earthground?
37:11	And his brethrenbrothers enviedwere jealous of him;, but his father kept the saying in mind.
37:12	AndThen his brethrenbrothers went to feedpasture their fathers flock in Shechem.
37:13	And Israel said untoto Joseph, Are not thyyour brethrenbrothers feedingpasturing the flock in Shechem? comeCome, and I will send theeyou untoto them. And he said to him, HereI amwill Igo.
37:14	AndThen he said to him, Go now, and see whetherabout itthe iswelfare wellof withyour thybrothers brethren, and wellthe withwelfare of the flock; and bring me word againback to me. So he sent him outfrom of the valevalley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.
37:15	And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field:; and the man asked him, saying, What seekestare thouyou looking for?
37:16	And he said, I am seekinglooking for my brethren:brothers; please tell me, I pray thee, where they are feedingpasturing the flock.
37:17	AndThen the man said, They arehave departedmoved hencefrom here; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. AndSo Joseph went after his brethren,brothers and found them inat Dothan.
37:18	AndWhen they saw him afarfrom off,a distance and before he came nearclose untoto them, they conspiredplotted against him to slayput him to death.
37:19	And they said to one to another, Behold,Here comes this dreamer cometh.!
37:20	ComeNow now thereforethen, come and let us slaykill him, and castthrow him into one of the pits,; and we will say, AnA evilwild beast hath devoured him:. andThen welet shallus see what will become of his dreams.!
37:21	AndBut Reuben heard it,this and deliveredrescued him out of their hand,hands and said, Let us not take his life.
37:22	And Reuben further said untoto them, Shed no blood;. castThrow him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but do not lay nohands handon upon him: that he might deliverrescue him out of their handhands, to restore him to his father.
37:23	AndSo it came to passabout, when Joseph wasreached come unto his brethrenbrothers, that they stripped Joseph of his coattunic, the coatvaricolored oftunic many colors that was on him;
37:24	and they took him, and castthrew him into the pit:. andNow the pit was empty, therewithout wasany no water in it.
37:25	AndThen they sat down to eat bread:a andmeal. And as they liftedraised up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a caravan of Ishmaelites was coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing spiceryaromatic gum and balm and myrrh, goingon their way to carrybring itthem down to Egypt.
37:26	And Judah said untoto his brethrenbrothers, What profit is it iffor weus slayto kill our brother and concealcover up his blood?
37:27	Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not lay our handhands beon upon him; for he is our brother, our own flesh. And his brethrenbrothers hearkenedlistened untoto him.
37:28	AndThen theresome Midianite traders passed by Midianites, merchantmen;so and they drewpulled him up and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Josephhim to the Ishmaelites for twenty piecesshekels of silver. AndThus they brought Joseph into Egypt.
37:29	AndNow Reuben returned untoto the pit;, and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; andso he renttore his clothesgarments.
37:30	And he returned untoto his brethren,brothers and said, The childboy is not there; andas Ifor me, whitherwhere shallam I to go?
37:31	AndSo they took Josephs coattunic, and killedslaughtered a hemale goat, and dipped the coattunic in the blood;
37:32	and they sent the coatvaricolored oftunic many colors, and they brought it to their father, and said, ThisWe havefound wethis; found:please knowexamine nowit to see whether it is thyyour sons coattunic or not.
37:33	AndThen he knewexamined it, and said, It is my sons coat;tunic. anA evilwild beast hathhas devoured him; Joseph ishas withoutsurely doubtbeen torn into pieces.!
37:34	AndSo Jacob renttore his garmentsclothes, and put sackcloth uponon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.
37:35	AndThen all his sons and all his daughters rosearose up to comfort him;, but he refused to be comforted;. andAnd he said, ForSurely I will go down to Sheol toin mourning for my son mourning. AndSo his father wept for him.
37:36	AndMeanwhile, the Midianites sold him intoin Egypt untoto Potiphar, anPharaohs officer of Pharaohs, the captain of the guardbodyguard.
38:1	And it came toabout pass at that time, that Judah wentdeparted down from his brethrenbrothers, and turnedvisited in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.
38:2	And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua; and he took her, and went in untoto her.
38:3	AndSo she conceived, and barebore a son; and he callednamed hishim name Er.
38:4	AndThen she conceived again, and barebore a son; and shenamed calledhim his name Onan.
38:5	And she yetbore againstill bareanother a son, and callednamed hishim name Shelah:; and heit was at Chezib, whenthat she barebore him.
38:6	AndNow Judah took a wife for Er his first born, and her name was Tamar.
38:7	AndBut Er, Judahs first born, was wickedevil in the sight of Jehovah;the andLord, Jehovahso slewthe himLord took his life.
38:8	AndThen Judah said untoto Onan, Go in untoto thyyour brothers wife, and perform theyour duty ofas a husbands brother untoin law to her, and raise up seedoffspring tofor thyyour brother.
38:9	And Onan knew that the seedoffspring would not be his; andso it came toabout pass,that when he went in untoto his brothers wife, that he spilledwasted ithis seed on the ground, lestin heorder shouldnot to give seedoffspring to his brother.
38:10	AndBut thewhat thing which he did was evildispleasing in the sight of Jehovah:the andLord; heso slewHe himtook his life also.
38:11	Then Judah said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law Tamar, Remain a widow in thyyour fathers house, tilluntil Shelah my son beShelah growngrows up; for he saidthought, LestI am afraid that he alsotoo may die, like his brethrenbrothers. AndSo Tamar went and dweltlived in her fathers house.
38:12	AndNow inafter processa ofconsiderable time Shuas daughter, the wife of Judah, died; and Judahwhen the time of mourning was comfortedended, andJudah went up untoto his sheepsheepshearers shearersat to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.
38:13	And it was told to Tamar, saying, Behold, thyyour father in law goethis going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.
38:14	AndSo she putremoved off from her thewidows garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with hera veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gategateway of Enaim, which is byon the wayroad to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah washad grown up, and she washad not been given untoto him toas a wife.
38:15	When Judah saw her, he thought hershe towas be a harlot;, for she had covered her face.
38:16	AndSo he turned untoaside to her by the wayroad, and said, Come,Here I pray theenow, let me come in untoto thee:you; for he knewdid not know that she was his daughter in law. And she said, What wiltwill thouyou give me, that thouyou mayestmay come in untoto me?
38:17	AndHe he said, therefore, I will send theeyou a kid of the goats from the flock. AndShe she said, Wiltmoreover, thouWill you give me a pledge, tilluntil thouyou send it?
38:18	And he said, What pledge shall I give theeyou? And she said, ThyYour signetseal and thyyour cord, and thyyour staff that is in thyyour hand. AndSo he gave them to her, and camewent in untoto her, and she conceived by him.
38:19	AndThen she arose, and went awaydeparted, and putremoved off her veil from her, and put on theher widows garments of her widowhood.
38:20	AndWhen Judah sent the kid of the goats by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the womans hand:, but he founddid not find her not.
38:21	ThenAnd he asked the men of her place, saying, Where is the temple prostitute, thatwho was at Enaim by the waysideroad at Enaim? AndBut they said, There hathhas been no temple prostitute here.
38:22	AndSo he returned to Judah, and said, I havedid not foundfind her; and alsofurthermore, the men of the place said, There hathhas been no temple prostitute here.
38:23	AndThen Judah said, Let her takekeep it to herthem, lest we bebecome puta tolaughingstock. shame:After beholdall, I sent this kid, andbut thouyou hastdid not foundfind her.
38:24	AndNow it camewas to pass about three months after,later that itJudah was told Judahinformed, saying,Your Tamar thy daughter in law hathTamar has played the harlot;, and moreover, behold, she is also with child by whoredomharlotry. AndThen Judah said, Bring her forth,out and let her be burnt.burned!
38:25	WhenIt was while she was being brought forth,out that she sent to her father in law, saying, ByI am with child by the man, whoseto whom these are,things ambelong. IAnd with child: and she said, Discern,Please Iexamine prayand theesee, whose aresignet these,ring the signet, and the cords, and thestaff staff.are these?
38:26	And Judah acknowledgedrecognized them, and said, She is more righteous than I, forasmuchinasmuch as I gavedid not give her not to Shelah my son Shelah. And he knewdid not have relations with her again no more.
38:27	And it came toabout passat in the time ofshe herwas travailgiving birth, that, behold, twinsthere were twins in her womb.
38:28	AndMoreover, it cametook toplace pass,while when she travailedwas giving birth, that one put out a hand:, and the midwife took and boundtied upona hisscarlet handthread aon scarlethis threadhand, saying, This one came out first.
38:29	AndBut it came toabout pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out:. andThen she said, WhereforeWhat hasta thoubreach madeyou ahave breachmade for thyself?yourself! thereforeSo hishe name was callednamed Perez.
38:30	And afterward his brother came out hiswho brother, that had the scarlet thread uponon his hand:; and hishe name was callednamed Zerah.
39:1	AndNow Joseph washad broughtbeen taken down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an Egyptian officer of PharaohsPharaoh, the captain of the guardbodyguard, an Egyptian, bought him offrom the hand of the Ishmaelites, thatwho had broughttaken him down thitherthere.
39:2	And Jehovahthe Lord was with Joseph, andso he wasbecame a prosperoussuccessful man;. andAnd he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.
39:3	AndNow his master saw that Jehovahthe Lord was with him, and thathow Jehovahthe madeLord caused all that he did to prosper in his hand.
39:4	AndSo Joseph found favor in his sight, and hebecame ministeredhis untopersonal him:servant; and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he hadowned he put intoin his handcharge.
39:5	And it came toabout passthat from the time that he made him overseer in his house, and over all that he hadowned, thatthe JehovahLord blessed the Egyptians house foron Josephsaccount sakeof Joseph; andthus the Lords blessing of Jehovah was upon all that he hadowned, in the house and in the field.
39:6	AndSo he left alleverything that he hadowned in Josephs handcharge; and with him there he knewdid not aughtconcern thathimself was with him,anything saveexcept the breadfood which he did eatate. AndNow Joseph was comely,handsome in form and well favoredappearance.
39:7	And it came toabout pass after these things,events that his masters wife castlooked herwith eyesdesire uponat Joseph;, and she said, Lie with me.
39:8	But he refused, and said untoto his masters wife, Behold, with me here, my master knowethdoes not whatconcern ishimself with meanything in the house, and he hathhas put all that he hathowns intoin my hand:charge.
39:9	heThere is notno one greater in this house than I;, neitherand hath he kepthas backwithheld anythingnothing from me butexcept theeyou, because thouyou artare his wife:. howHow then cancould I do this great wickednessevil, and sin against God?
39:10	And it came toabout pass, as she spakespoke to Joseph day byafter day, that he hearkeneddid not untolisten to her, to lie bybeside her, or to be with her.
39:11	AndNow it camehappened toone passday about this time, that he went into the house to do his work;, and there was none of the men of the househousehold was there withininside.
39:12	And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me:! andAnd he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and gotwent him outoutside.
39:13	AndWhen it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and washad fled forthoutside,
39:14	that she called untoto the men of her househousehold, and spakesaid untoto them, saying, See, he hathhas brought in a Hebrew untoto us to mockmake sport of us:; he came in untoto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:screamed.
39:15	andAnd it came toabout pass, when he heard that I liftedraised up my voice and criedscreamed, that he left his garment bybeside me, and fled, and gotwent him outoutside.
39:16	AndSo she laidleft up his garment bybeside her, until his master came home.
39:17	AndThen she spakespoke untoto him accordingwith to these words, saying, The Hebrew servantslave, whom thouyou hast brought untoto us, came in untoto me to mockmake sport of me:;
39:18	and it camehappened to pass, as I liftedraised up my voice and criedscreamed, that he left his garment bybeside me, and fled outoutside.
39:19	AndNow it came toabout pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spakespoke untoto him, saying, AfterThis thisis mannerwhat didyour thyslave servantdid to me;, that his wrathanger was kindledburned.
39:20	AndSo Josephs master took him, and put him into the prisonjail, the place where the kings prisoners were bound:confined; and he was there in the prisonjail.
39:21	But Jehovahthe Lord was with Joseph, and showedextended kindness untoto him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeperchief of the prisonjailer.
39:22	And the keeperchief ofjailer the prison committed to Josephs handcharge all the prisoners thatwho were in the prisonjail; andso whatsoeverthat theywhatever didwas done there, he was theresponsible doerfor of it.
39:23	The keeperchief ofjailer thedid prison looked not tosupervise anything that was under hisJosephs hand,charge because Jehovahthe Lord was with him; and thatwhatever which he did, Jehovahthe Lord made it to prosper.
40:1	AndThen it came toabout pass after these things, thatthe cupbearer and the butlerbaker offor the king of Egypt and his baker offended their Lord, the king of Egypt.
40:2	And Pharaoh was wrothfurious againstwith his two officersofficials, against the chief ofcupbearer the butlers, and against the chief of the bakersbaker.
40:3	AndSo he put them in wardconfinement in the house of the captain of the guardbodyguard, intoin the prisonjail, the same place where Joseph was boundimprisoned.
40:4	And the captain of the guardbodyguard chargedput Joseph within charge of them, and he ministeredtook untocare of them:; and they continuedwere ain seasonconfinement infor wardsome time.
40:5	AndThen theythe dreamedcupbearer aand dreamthe bothbaker for the king of themEgypt, eachwho manwere hisconfined dream, in one nightjail, eachboth manhad accordinga todream the interpretationsame of his dreamnight, theeach butlerman andwith thehis bakerown ofdream theand kingeach ofdream Egypt,with whoits wereown bound in the prisoninterpretation.
40:6	AndWhen Joseph came into unto them in the morning, and sawobserved them, and, behold, they were saddejected.
40:7	And he asked Pharaohs officersofficials thatwho were with him in wardconfinement in his masters house, saying,Why Whereforeare lookyour yefaces so sad to daytoday?
40:8	AndThen they said untoto him, We have dreamedhad a dream, and there is noneno thatone canto interpret it. AndThen Joseph said untoto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tellTell it to me, I pray youplease.
40:9	AndSo the chief butlercupbearer told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, there was a vine wasin beforefront of me;
40:10	and inon the vine were three branches:. andAnd as it was as though it buddedbudding, and its blossoms shotcame forth;out, and theits clusters thereofproduced brought forth ripe grapes:.
40:11	andNow Pharaohs cup was in my hand; andso I took the grapes, and pressedsqueezed them into Pharaohs cup, and I gaveput the cup into Pharaohs hand.
40:12	AndThen Joseph said untoto him, This is the interpretation of it: the three branches are three days;
40:13	within yet three more days shall Pharaoh will lift up thyyour head, and restore theeyou untoto thineyour office:; and thouyou shaltwill giveput Pharaohs cup into his hand, afteraccording theto your former mannercustom when thouyou wastwere his butlercupbearer.
40:14	ButOnly havekeep me in thymind remembrance when it shallgoes be well with theeyou, and showplease kindness,do I pray thee, unto me, anda makekindness mentionby ofmentioning me untoto Pharaoh, and bringget me out of this house:.
40:15	forFor indeed I was stolenin awayfact outkidnapped offrom the land of the Hebrews:, and even here alsoI have I done nothing that they should have put me into the dungeon.
40:16	When the chief baker saw that thehe interpretationhad wasinterpreted goodfavorably, he said untoto Joseph, I also wassaw in my dream, and, behold, there were three baskets of white bread were on my head:;
40:17	and in the uppermosttop basket there waswere some of all mannersorts of baked food for Pharaoh;, and the birds didwere eateating them out of the basket uponon my head.
40:18	AndThen Joseph answered and said, This is theits interpretation thereof: the three baskets are three days;
40:19	within yet three more days shall Pharaoh will lift up thyyour head from offyou thee, and shallwill hang theeyou on a tree; and the birds shallwill eat thyyour flesh from off theeyou.
40:20	AndThus it came toabout passon the third day, which was Pharaohs birthday, that he made a feast untofor all his servants:; and he lifted up the head of the chief butlercupbearer and the head of the chief baker among his servants.
40:21	And he restored the chief butlercupbearer untoto his butlershipoffice, again; and he gaveput the cup into Pharaohs hand:;
40:22	but he hanged the chief baker:, just as Joseph had interpreted to them.
40:23	Yet did not the chief butlercupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgatforgot him.
41:1	AndNow it camehappened to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed:had anda dream, and behold, he stoodwas standing by the riverNile.
41:2	And, beholdlo, from the Nile there came up out of the river seven kinecows, wellsleek favored and fat fleshed; and they fedgrazed in the reedmarsh grass.
41:3	And,Then behold, seven other kinecows came up after them outfrom of the riverNile, illugly favored and lean fleshedgaunt, and they stood by the other kinecows uponon the brinkbank of the riverNile.
41:4	And the illugly favored and leangaunt fleshedcows kineate did eat up the seven wellsleek favored and fat kinecows. SoThen Pharaoh awoke.
41:5	And he sleptfell asleep and dreamed a second time:; and, behold, seven ears of grain came up uponon onea single stalk, rankplump and good.
41:6	And,Then behold, seven ears, thin and blastedscorched withby the east wind, sprungsprouted up after them.
41:7	And the thin ears swallowed up the seven rankplump and full ears. AndThen Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
41:8	AndNow it came toabout pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled;, andso he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all theits wise men. thereof:And and Pharaoh told them his dream;dreams, but there was noneno thatone who could interpret them untoto Pharaoh.
41:9	Then spake the chief butlercupbearer untospoke to Pharaoh, saying, I dowould remembermake mention today of my faultsown this day:offenses.
41:10	Pharaoh was wrothfurious with his servants, and he put me in wardconfinement in the house of the captain of the guardbodyguard, both me and the chief baker:.
41:11	andAnd we dreamedhad a dream inon onethe same night, Ihe and heI; weeach dreamedof eachus mandreamed according to the interpretation of his own dream.
41:12	AndNow therea Hebrew youth was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant toof the captain of the guard;bodyguard, and we toldrelated them to him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; tofor us. To each manone he interpreted according to his own dream he did interpret.
41:13	And it came toabout pass,that just as he interpreted tofor us, so it washappened; me he restored untome minein my office, andbut him he hanged him.
41:14	Then Pharaoh sent and called for Joseph, and they hurriedly brought him hastily out of the dungeon:; and when he had shaved himself, and changed his raimentclothes, andhe came into unto Pharaoh.
41:15	And Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, I have dreamedhad a dream, andbut thereno isone none that can interpret it:; and I have heard sayit ofsaid theeabout you, that when thouyou hearesthear a dream thouyou canstcan interpret it.
41:16	And Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me:; God will give Pharaoh ana favorable answer of peace.
41:17	AndSo Pharaoh spakespoke untoto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stoodwas uponstanding on the brinkbank of the river:Nile;
41:18	and, behold, thereseven cows, fat and sleek came up out of the river seven kine, fat fleshed and well favoredNile; and they fedgrazed in the reedmarsh grass:.
41:19	and,And beholdlo, seven other kinecows came up after them, poor and very illugly favored and lean fleshedgaunt, such as I had never sawseen for ugliness in all the land of Egypt for badness:;
41:20	and the lean and illugly favoredcows kineate did eat up the first seven fat kine:cows.
41:21	andYet when they had eatendevoured them up, it could not be knowndetected that they had eatendevoured them; butfor they were stilljust illas favored,ugly as at the beginningbefore. SoThen I awoke.
41:22	And I saw also in my dream, and, behold, seven ears, full and good, came up uponon onea single stalk, full and good:;
41:23	and, beholdlo, seven ears, withered, thin, and blastedscorched withby the east wind, sprungsprouted up after them:;
41:24	and the thin ears swallowed up the seven good ears:. andThen I told it untoto the magicians;, but there was noneno thatone who could declareexplain it to me.
41:25	AndNow Joseph said untoto Pharaoh, ThePharaohs dreamdreams ofare Pharaohone isand one:the whatsame; God ishas abouttold to doPharaoh hewhat hathHe declaredis untoabout Pharaohto do.
41:26	The seven good kinecows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years:; the dreamdreams isare one and the same.
41:27	And the seven lean and illugly favoredcows kine that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven emptythin ears blastedscorched withby the east wind; they shall be seven years of famine.
41:28	ThatIt is theas thingI whichhave Ispoken spaketo unto Pharaoh: what God ishas aboutshown to doPharaoh hewhat hathHe showedis untoabout Pharaohto do.
41:29	Behold, there come seven years of great plentyabundance throughoutare coming in all the land of Egypt:;
41:30	and there shall arise after them seven years of famine; will come, and all the plentyabundance shallwill be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shallwill consumeravage the land;.
41:31	andSo the plentyabundance shallwill not be knownunknown in the land bybecause reason of that subsequent famine which followeth; for it shallwill be very grievoussevere.
41:32	AndNow as for thatthe repeating of the dream wasto doubledPharaoh unto Pharaohtwice, it ismeans becausethat the thingmatter is establisheddetermined by God, and God will shortlyquickly bring it to passabout.
41:33	NowAnd thereforenow let Pharaoh look outfor a man discreetdiscerning and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
41:34	Let Pharaoh dotake this,action andto let him appoint overseers overin charge of the land, and takelet uphim theexact a fifth partof the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteousyears yearsof abundance.
41:35	AndThen let them gather all the food of these good years that comeare coming, and laystore up grain under the handgrain of Pharaoh for food in the cities under Pharaohs authority, and let them keepguard it.
41:36	And let the food shallbecome beas for a storereserve tofor the land againstfor the seven years of famine, which shallwill beoccur in the land of Egypt;, so that the land perishmay not throughperish during the famine.
41:37	AndNow the thingproposal wasseemed good into the eyes of Pharaoh, and into the eyes of all his servants.
41:38	AndThen Pharaoh said untoto his servants, Can we find such a oneman aslike this, a man in whom theis spirita ofdivine God isspirit?
41:39	AndSo Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, ForasmuchSince as God hathhas showedinformed theeyou of all this, there is noneno one so discreetdiscerning and wise as thou:you are.
41:40	thouYou shaltshall be over my house, and according untoto thyyour wordcommand shall all my people beshall ruled:do homage; only in the throne I will I be greater than thouyou.
41:41	And Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, See, I have set theeyou over all the land of Egypt.
41:42	AndThen Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it uponon Josephs hand, and arrayedclothed him in vesturesgarments of fine linen, and put athe gold chainnecklace aboutaround his neck;.
41:43	andAnd he madehad him to ride in thehis second chariot which he had; and they criedproclaimed before him, Bow the knee:! andAnd he set him over all the land of Egypt.
41:44	AndMoreover, Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, Though I am Pharaoh, andyet without theeyour shallpermission no manone liftshall upraise his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.
41:45	AndThen Pharaoh callednamed JosephsJoseph name Zaphenath paneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath, the daughter of PotiPotiphera phera priest of On, as his wife. And Joseph went outforth over the land of Egypt.
41:46	AndNow Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughoutthrough all the land of Egypt.
41:47	And induring the seven plenteous years of plenty the earthland brought forth by handfulsabundantly.
41:48	AndSo he gathered up all the food of thethese seven years which wereoccurred in the land of Egypt, and laidplaced up the food in the cities:; thehe foodplaced ofin the field, which was round about every city, laidthe hefood upfrom inits theown samesurrounding fields.
41:49	AndThus Joseph laidstored up grain asin great abundance like the sand of the sea, very much, until he leftstopped offmeasuring numbering;it, for it was withoutbeyond numbermeasure.
41:50	AndNow unto Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine came, two sons were born to Joseph, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, barebore untoto him.
41:51	And Joseph callednamed the name of the first born Manasseh:, For, he said he, God hathhas made me forget all my toil,trouble and all my fathers househousehold.
41:52	And thehe namenamed of the second calledEphraim, For, he Ephraim:said, For God hathhas made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.
41:53	AndWhen the seven years of plenty, thatwhich washad been in the land of Egypt, came to an end.,
41:54	Andand the seven years of famine began to come, accordingjust as Joseph had said:, andthen there was famine in all the lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
41:55	AndSo when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried out to Pharaoh for bread:; and Pharaoh said untoto all the Egyptians, Go untoto Joseph; whatwhatever he saithsays to you, you shall do.
41:56	AndWhen the famine was spread over all the face of the earth:, andthen Joseph opened all the store housesstorehouses, and sold untoto the Egyptians; and the famine was soresevere in the land of Egypt.
41:57	And the people of all countriesthe earth came intoto Egypt to Josephbuy tograin buyfrom grainJoseph, because the famine was soresevere in all the earth.
42:1	Now Jacob saw that there was grain in Egypt, and Jacob said untoto his sons, Why doare yeyou lookstaring at one upon another?
42:2	And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt:; getgo you down thither,there and buy some for us from thence;that place, so that we may live, and not die.
42:3	AndThen Josephs ten brethrenbrothers of Joseph went down to buy grain from Egypt.
42:4	But Benjamin,Jacob did not send Josephs brother, JacobBenjamin sent not with his brethren;brothers, for he said, LestI peradventuream afraid that harm may befall him.
42:5	AndSo the sons of Israel came to buy grain among those thatwho came:were coming, for the famine was in the land of Canaan also.
42:6	AndNow Joseph was the governorruler over the land; he it was thatthe one who sold to all the people of the land. And Josephs brethrenbrothers came, and bowed down themselves to him with their faces to the earthground.
42:7	AndWhen Joseph saw his brethren,brothers and he knewrecognized them, but madehe disguised himself strangeto unto them, and spakespoke roughlyto with them; andharshly. And he said untoto them, WhenceWhere have you come yefrom? And they said, From the land of Canaan, to buy food.
42:8	AndBut Joseph knewhad recognized his brethrenbrothers, butalthough they knewdid not recognize him.
42:9	And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamedhad ofabout them, and said untoto them, YeYou are spies; you have come to seelook at the nakednessundefended parts of theour land ye are come.
42:10	AndThen they said untoto him, NayNo, my Lord, but toyour buyservants foodhave arecome thyto servantsbuy comefood.
42:11	We are all sons of one mans sonsman; we are truehonest men, thyyour servants are nonot spies.
42:12	AndYet he said untoto them, NayNo, but you have come to seelook at the nakednessundefended parts of theour land ye are come.!
42:13	AndBut they said, WeYour thy servants are twelve brethrenbrothers in all, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father today, and one is notno more.
42:14	And Joseph said untoto them, ThatIt is itas that I spakesaid untoto you, saying,you Ye are spies:;
42:15	herebyby yethis shallyou will be provedtested: by the life of Pharaoh, yeyou shall not go forthfrom hence,this exceptplace unless your youngest brother comecomes hither.here!
42:16	Send one of you, andthat lethe himmay fetchget your brother, andwhile yeyou shallremain be boundconfined, that your words may be provedtested, whether there beis truth in you:. orBut elseif not, by the life of Pharaoh, surely yeyou are spies.
42:17	AndSo he put them all together intoin wardprison for three days.
42:18	AndNow Joseph said untoto them on the third day, ThisDo do,this and live;, for I fear God:
42:19	if yeyou beare truehonest men, let one of your brethrenbrothers be boundconfined in your prison house; but goas yefor the rest of you, go, carry grain for the famine of your houses:households,
42:20	and bring your youngest brother untoto me;, so shall your words may be verified, and yeyou shallwill not die. And they did so.
42:21	AndThen they said to one to another, WeTruly we are verily guilty concerning our brother, inbecause that we saw the distress of his soul, when he besoughtpleaded with us, andyet we would not hearlisten; therefore is this distress has come upon us.
42:22	And Reuben answered them, saying, SpakeDid I not untotell you, saying, Do not sin against the childboy; and yeyou would not hearlisten? thereforeNow also,comes behold,the reckoning for his blood is required.
42:23	AndThey theydid knew not know, however, that Joseph understood, them; for there was an interpreter between them.
42:24	And he turned himselfaway about from them, and wept;. andBut when he returned to them, and spakespoke to them, andhe took Simeon from among them, and bound him before their eyes.
42:25	Then Joseph commandedgave orders to fill their vesselsbags with grain, and to restore every mans money intoin his sack, and to give them provisionprovisions for the way:journey. andAnd thus it was it done untofor them.
42:26	AndSo they ladedloaded their assesdonkeys with their grain, and departed thencefrom there.
42:27	And as one of them opened his sack to give his assdonkey provenderfodder inat the lodging place, he espiedsaw his money; and, behold, it was in the mouth of his sack.
42:28	AndThen he said untoto his brethrenbrothers, My money ishas restored;been andreturned, loand behold, it is even in my sack:. andAnd their hearthearts failed themsank, and they turned trembling to one to another, saying, What is this that God hathhas done untoto us?
42:29	AndWhen they came untoto Jacob their father untoJacob in the land of Canaan, andthey told him all that had befallenhappened to them, saying,
42:30	The man, the Lord of the land, spakespoke roughlyharshly with us, and took us for spies of the country.
42:31	AndBut we said untoto him, We are truehonest men; we are nonot spies:.
42:32	weWe are twelve brethrenbrothers, sons of our father; one is notno more, and the youngest is this day with our father today in the land of Canaan.
42:33	And the man, the Lord of the land, said untoto us, HerebyBy shallthis I shall know that yeyou are truehonest men: leave one of your brethrenbrothers with me, and take grain for the famine of your houseshouseholds, and go your way;.
42:34	andBut bring your youngest brother untoto me: thenthat shall I may know that yeyou are nonot spies, but thathonest ye are true men:. soI will Igive deliveryour youbrother yourto brotheryou, and yeyou shallmay traffictrade in the land.
42:35	AndNow it came toabout pass as they emptiedwere emptying their sacks, that, behold, every mans bundle of money was in his sack:; and when they and their father saw their bundles of money, they were afraiddismayed.
42:36	And Jacob their father Jacob said untoto them, MeYou have ye bereaved me of my children: Joseph is notno more, and Simeon is notno more, and yeyou willwould take Benjamin; away: all these things are against me.
42:37	AndThen Reuben spakespoke untoto his father, saying, SlayYou may put my two sons, to death if I do not bring him notback to thee:you; deliverput him intoin my handcare, and I will bringreturn him to thee againyou.
42:38	AndBut heJacob said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he onlyalone is left:. ifIf harm should befall him byon the wayjourney inyou whichare ye gotaking, then you will ye bring down my gray hairshair withdown sorrow to Sheol in sorrow.
43:1	AndNow the famine was soresevere in the land.
43:2	AndSo it came toabout pass, when they had eatenfinished upeating the grain which they had brought outfrom of Egypt, that their father said untoto them, Go againback, buy us a little food.
43:3	And Judah spakespoke untoto him, however, saying, The man did solemnly protestwarned unto us, saying,You Ye shall not see my face, exceptunless your brother beis with you.
43:4	If thouyou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy theeyou food:.
43:5	butBut if thouyou wiltdo not send him, we will not go down; for the man said untoto us, YeYou shall not see my face, exceptunless your brother beis with you.
43:6	AndThen Israel said, WhereforeWhy dealtdid yeyou sotreat illme withso me,badly asby totelling tell the man whether yeyou still had yetanother a brother?
43:7	AndBut they said, The man askedquestioned straitlyparticularly concerningabout ourselves,us and concerning our kindredrelatives, saying, Is your father yetstill alive? haveHave yeyou another brother? andSo we toldanswered himhis accordingquestions. toCould the tenor of these words: could we inpossibly any wise know that he would say, Bring your brother down ?
43:8	And Judah said untoto Israel his father Israel, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go;, that we may live, and not die, both we, andas thou,well as you and also our little ones.
43:9	I myself will be surety for him; ofyou mymay handhold shaltme thouresponsible requirefor him:. ifIf I do not bring him notback untoto thee,you and set him before theeyou, then let me bear the blame forbefore ever:you forever.
43:10	forFor exceptif we had lingerednot delayed, surely by now we hadcould nowhave returned a second timetwice.
43:11	AndThen their father Israel said untoto them, If it must be so now, then do this: take some of the choicebest fruitsproducts of the land in your vesselsbags, and carry down to the man as a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spiceryaromatic gum and myrrh, pistachio nuts, and almonds;.
43:12	andAnd take double the money in your hand;, and take back in your hand the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks carry again in your hand; peradventureperhaps it was ana oversight:mistake.
43:13	takeTake also your brother also, and arise, goreturn againto unto the man:;
43:14	and may God Almighty givegrant you mercycompassion beforein the sight of the man, that he may release untoto you your other brother and Benjamin. And as for me, if I beam bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.
43:15	AndSo the men took thatthis present, and they took double the money in their hand, and Benjamin; andthen rosethey up,arose and went down to Egypt, and stood before Joseph.
43:16	AndWhen when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house steward, Bring the men into the house, and slay, an animal and make ready; for the men shallare to dine with me at noon.
43:17	AndSo the man did as Joseph bade;said, and the man brought the men to Josephs house.
43:18	AndNow the men were afraid, because they were brought to Josephs house; and they said, BecauseIt is because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time arethat we are being brought in;, that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen,slaves andwith our assesdonkeys.
43:19	AndSo they came near to the steward of Josephs house steward, and theyspoke spaketo unto him at the doorentrance of the house,
43:20	and said, Oh, my Lord, we indeed came indeed down at the first time to buy food:,
43:21	and it came toabout pass, when we came to the lodging place, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, everyeach mans money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full. weight:So and we have brought it againback in our hand.
43:22	AndWe other money have wealso brought down other money in our hand to buy food:; we knowdo not know who put our money in our sacks.
43:23	And he said, PeaceBe beat to youease, feardo not: yourbe afraid. Your God, and the God of your father, hathhas given you treasure in your sacks:; I had your money. AndThen he brought Simeon out untoto them.
43:24	AndThen the man brought the men into Josephs house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their assesdonkeys provenderfodder.
43:25	AndSo they madeprepared ready the present againstfor Josephs coming at noon:; for they had heard that they shouldwere to eat breada meal there.
43:26	AndWhen when Joseph came home, they brought into the house to him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed down themselves to himthe toground thebefore earthhim.
43:27	AndThen he asked them ofabout their welfare, and said, Is your old father well, the old man of whom yeyou spakespoke? Is he yetstill alive?
43:28	And they said, ThyYour servant our father is well,; he is yetstill alive. And they bowed thedown head,in and made obeisancehomage.
43:29	AndAs he lifted up his eyes, and saw Benjamin his brother Benjamin, his mothers son, andhe said, Is this your youngest brother, of whom yeyou spakespoke untoto me? And he said, May God be gracious untoto theeyou, my son.
43:30	And Joseph madehurried haste;out for hishe heartwas yearneddeeply stirred over his brother:, and he sought wherea place to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.
43:31	AndThen he washed his face, and came out; and he refrainedcontrolled himself, and said, SetServe onthe breadmeal.
43:32	AndSo they setserved on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, thatwho didate eat with him, by themselves:; because the Egyptians mightcould not eat bread with the Hebrews;, for that is anloathsome abominationto unto the Egyptians.
43:33	AndNow they satwere seated before him, the first born according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth:, and the men marvelledlooked at one withanother anotherin astonishment.
43:34	And he took andportions sentto messes unto them from beforehis him:own table; but Benjamins messportion was five times soas much as any of theirs. AndSo they drank,feasted and weredrank merryfreely with him.
44:1	AndThen he commanded the steward of his house steward, saying, Fill the mens sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put everyeach mans money in the mouth of his sacks mouthsack.
44:2	And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sacks mouth of the sack of the youngest, and his money for the grain money. And he did accordingas to the word that Joseph had spokentold him.
44:3	As soon as theit morning was light, the men were sent away, they andwith their assesdonkeys.
44:4	AndThey whenhad theyjust were gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, when Joseph said untoto his house steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thouyou dost overtake them, say untoto them, WhereforeWhy have yeyou rewardedrepaid evil for good?
44:5	Is not this thatthe inone from which my Lord drinkethdrinks, and wherebywhich he indeed divinethuses for divination? yeYou have done evilwrong in sodoing doingthis.
44:6	AndSo he overtook them, and hespoke spakethese untowords to them these words.
44:7	And they said untoto him, WhereforeWhy speakethdoes my Lord speak such words as these? Far be it from thyyour servants thatto they should do such a thing.
44:8	Behold, the money, which we found in the mouth of our sacks mouths, we have brought againback untoto theeyou outfrom of the land of Canaan:. howHow then shouldcould we steal outsilver ofor thygold from your Lords house silver or gold?
44:9	With whomsoeverwhomever of thyyour servants it beis found, let him die, and we also will be my Lords bondmenslaves.
44:10	AndSo he said, Now also let it also be according untoto your words:; he with whom it is found shall be my bondman;slave, and yethe rest of you shall be blamelessinnocent.
44:11	Then they hastedhurried, andeach tookman downlowered every man his sack to the ground, and openedeach every man opened his sack.
44:12	And he searched, andbeginning beganwith at the eldest,oldest and leftending offwith at the youngest:, and the cup was found in Benjamins sack.
44:13	Then they renttore their clothes, and ladedwhen everyeach man loaded his assdonkey, andthey returned to the city.
44:14	AndWhen Judah and his brethrenbrothers came to Josephs house;, and he was yetstill there:, and they fell beforeto himthe onground thebefore groundhim.
44:15	And Joseph said untoto them, What deed is this deed that yeyou have done? knowDo yeyou not know that such a man as I can indeed divinepractice divination?
44:16	AndSo Judah said, What shallcan we say untoto my Lord? whatWhat shallcan we speak? orAnd how shallcan we clearjustify ourselves? God hathhas found out the iniquity of thyyour servants:; behold, we are my Lords bondmenslaves, both we, and hethe alsoone in whose handpossession the cup ishas been found.
44:17	AndBut he said, Far be it from me thatto I should do so:this. theThe man in whose handpossession the cup ishas been found, he shall be my bondmanslave; but as for you, getgo you up in peace untoto your father.
44:18	Then Judah cameapproached near unto him, and said, Oh, my Lord, letmay thyyour servant, Iplease pray thee, speak a word in my Lords ears, and letdo not thinebe angerangry burnwith againstyour thy servant; for thouyou artare evenequal asto Pharaoh.
44:19	My Lord asked his servants, saying, Have yeyou a father, or a brother?
44:20	And we said untoto my Lord, We have a father, an old man,father and a little child of his old age,. aNow little one; and his brother is dead, andso he alone is left of his mother;, and his father lovethloves him.
44:21	AndThen thouyou saidstsaid untoto thyyour servants, Bring him down untoto me, that I may set minemy eyes uponon him.
44:22	AndBut we said untoto my Lord, The lad cannot leave his father:, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
44:23	AndYou thousaid saidstto untoyour thy servants, Excepthowever, Unless your youngest brother comecomes down with you, yeyou shall not see my face no moreagain.
44:24	AndThus it came toabout pass when we camewent up untoto thyyour servant my father, we told him the words of my Lord.
44:25	And our father said, Go againback, buy us a little food.
44:26	AndBut we said, We cannot go down:. ifIf our youngest brother beis with us, then we will we go down; for we maycannot not see the mans face, exceptunless our youngest brother beis with us.
44:27	And thyyour servant my father said untoto us, YeYou know that my wife barebore me two sons:;
44:28	and the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces;, and I have not seen him since:.
44:29	andAnd if yeyou take this one also from me, and harm befallbefalls him, yeyou will bring down my gray hairshair withdown sorrow to Sheol in sorrow.
44:30	Now, therefore, when I come to thyyour servant my father, and the lad is not with us;, seeingsince that his life is bound up in the lads life;,
44:31	it will come toabout pass, when he seethsees that the lad is not with us, that he will die:. andThus thyyour servants will bring down the gray hairshair of thyyour servant our father withdown sorrow to Sheol in sorrow.
44:32	For thyyour servant became surety for the lad untoto my father, saying, If I do not bring him notback untoto theeyou, then shalllet Ime bear the blame tobefore my father for everforever.
44:33	Now, therefore, please let thyyour servant, Iremain pray thee, abide instead of the lad a bondmanslave to my Lord;, and let the lad go up with his brethrenbrothers.
44:34	For how shall I go up to my father, if the lad beis not with me?, lest I see the evil that shallwould comeovertake on my father.?
45:1	Then Joseph could not refraincontrol himself before all themthose thatwho stood by him;, and he cried, CauseHave everyeveryone man to go out from me. AndSo there stoodwas no man with him, whilewhen Joseph made himself known untoto his brethrenbrothers.
45:2	And he wept aloud:so andloudly that the Egyptians heard it, and the househousehold of Pharaoh heard of it.
45:3	AndThen Joseph said untoto his brethrenbrothers, I am Joseph;! dothIs my father yetstill livealive? AndBut his brethrenbrothers could not answer him;, for they were troubleddismayed at his presence.
45:4	AndThen Joseph said untoto his brethrenbrothers, ComePlease nearcome closer to me, I pray you. And they came nearcloser. And he said, I am Joseph your brother Joseph, whom yeyou sold into Egypt.
45:5	And now bedo not be grieved, noror angry with yourselves, thatbecause yeyou sold me hither:here; for God didsent send me before you to preserve life.
45:6	For these two years hath the famine has been in the land: these two years, and there are yetstill five years, in which there shallwill be neither plowing nor harvestharvesting.
45:7	And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to savekeep you alive by a great deliverance.
45:8	SoNow, nowtherefore, it was not you thatwho sent me hitherhere, but God:; and heHe hathhas made me a father to Pharaoh, and Lord of all his house,household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
45:9	HasteHurry ye, and go up to my father, and say untoto him, Thus saithsays thyyour son Joseph, God hathhas made me Lord of all Egypt:; come down untoto me, tarrydo not; delay.
45:10	andAnd thouyou shaltshall dwelllive in the land of Goshen, and thouyou shaltshall be near unto me, thou,you and thyyour children, and thyyour childrens children, and thyyour flocks, and thyyour herds, and all that thouyou hast:have.
45:11	andThere thereI will Ialso nourishprovide thee;for you, for there are yetstill five years of famine; lestto thou come, tolest poverty,you thou, and thyyour household, and all that thouyou hasthave be impoverished.
45:12	And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth thatwhich speakethis untospeaking to you.
45:13	AndNow yeyou shallmust tell my father of all my glorysplendor in Egypt, and of all that yeyou have seen:; and yeyou shallmust hastehurry and bring down my father hitherdown here.
45:14	AndThen he fell uponon his brother Benjamins neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept uponon his neck.
45:15	And he kissed all his brethren,brothers and wept uponon them:, and afterafterward that his brethrenbrothers talked with him.
45:16	AndNow when the reportnews thereof was heard in Pharaohs house, saying,that Josephs brethrenbrothers arehad come:, and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.
45:17	AndThen Pharaoh said untoto Joseph, Say untoto thyyour brethrenbrothers, ThisDo do yethis: ladeload your beasts, and go, getto you unto the land of Canaan;,
45:18	and take your father and your households, and come untoto me:, and I will give you the goodbest of the land of Egypt, and yeyou shall eat the fat of the land.
45:19	Now thouyou artare commandedordered, Do this do ye: take you wagons outfrom of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
45:20	AlsoAnd regarddo not concern yourselves with your stuff;goods, for the goodbest of all the land of Egypt is yours.
45:21	AndThen the sons of Israel did so:; and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandmentcommand of Pharaoh, and gave them provisionprovisions for the wayjourney.
45:22	To alleach of them he gave each man changes of raiment;garments, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raimentgarments.
45:23	And to his father he sent afteras this mannerfollows: ten assesdonkeys ladenloaded with the goodbest things of Egypt, and ten shefemale assesdonkeys ladenloaded with grain and bread and provisionsustenance for his father byon the wayjourney.
45:24	So he sent his brethrenbrothers away, and as they departed:, and he said untoto them, SeeDo that ye fall not outquarrel byon the wayjourney.
45:25	AndThen they went up outfrom of Egypt, and came intoto the land of Canaan untoto Jacob their father Jacob.
45:26	And they told him, saying, Joseph is yetstill alive, and indeed he is ruler over all the land of Egypt. AndBut hishe heartwas faintedstunned, for he believeddid not believe them not.
45:27	AndWhen they told him all the words of Joseph, whichthat he had saidspoken untoto them:, and when he saw the wagons whichthat Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father Jacob revived:.
45:28	andThen Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son Joseph is yetstill alive:. I will go and see him before I die.
46:1	AndSo Israel tookset hisout journey with all that he had, and came to Beer shebaBeersheba, and offered sacrifices untoto the God of his father Isaac.
46:2	And God spakespoke untoto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here I am I.
46:3	And heHe said, I am God, the God of thyyour father:; feardo not be afraid to go down intoto Egypt;, for I will there make ofyou thee a great nation: there.
46:4	I will go down with theeyou intoto Egypt;, and I will also surely bring theeyou up again:; and Joseph shallwill putclose hisyour hand upon thine eyes.
46:5	AndThen Jacob rosearose up from BeerBeersheba; sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, Jacob and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
46:6	And they took their cattle,livestock and their goodsproperty, which they had gottenacquired in the land of Canaan, and came intoto Egypt, Jacob, and all his seeddescendants with him:
46:7	his sons, and his sonsgrandsons sons with him, his daughters, and his sons daughtersgranddaughters, and all his seeddescendants he brought he with him intoto Egypt.
46:8	AndNow these are the names of the childrensons of Israel, whoJacob cameand intohis Egyptsons, Jacobwho andwent histo sonsEgypt: Reuben, Jacobs first born.
46:9	And the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, and Pallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
46:10	And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a CanaanitishCanaanite woman.
46:12	And the sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
46:13	And the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puvah,Puvvah and Iob, and Shimron.
46:14	And the sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
46:15	These are the sons of Leah, whom she barebore untoto Jacob in Paddan aram, with his daughter Dinah:; all the souls of his sons and his daughters werenumbered thirty and three.
46:16	And the sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
46:17	And the sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and Serah their sister; andSerah. And the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel.
46:18	These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter Leah; and these she barebore untoto Jacob, eventhese sixteen soulspersons.
46:19	The sons of Rachel Jacobs wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
46:20	AndNow untoto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of PotiPotiphera, phera priest of On, barebore untoto him.
46:21	And the sons of Benjamin: Bela, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
46:22	These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob:; allthere thewere soulsfourteen werepersons fourteenin all.
46:24	And the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
46:25	These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave untoto Rachel his daughter Rachel, and these she barebore untothese to Jacob:; allthere thewere soulsseven werepersons sevenin all.
46:26	All the soulspersons thatbelonging cameto with Jacob into Egypt, thatwho came outto ofEgypt, his loinsdirect descendants, besidesnot Jacobsincluding sonsthe wives, allof theJacobs soulssons, were threescoresixty andsix six;persons in all,
46:27	and the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two; souls: all the soulspersons of the house of Jacob, thatwho came intoto Egypt, were threescore and tenseventy.
46:28	AndNow he sent Judah before him untoto Joseph, to showpoint out the way before him untoto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
46:29	And Joseph madeprepared ready his chariot, and went up to Goshen to meet Israel his father, to GoshenIsrael; andas soon as he presentedappeared himselfbefore unto him, andhe fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a goodlong whiletime.
46:30	AndThen Israel said untoto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thyyour face, that thouyou artare yetstill alive.
46:31	And Joseph said untoto his brethren,brothers and untoto his fathers househousehold, I will go up, and tell Pharaoh, and will say untoto him, My brethren,brothers and my fathers househousehold, who were in the land of Canaan, arehave come untoto me;
46:32	and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of cattlelivestock; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
46:33	And it shall come toabout pass, when Pharaoh shallcalls call you, and shall saysays, What is your occupation?
46:34	that yeyou shall say, ThyYour servants have been keepers of cattlelivestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers:, that yeyou may dwelllive in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is anloathsome abominationto unto the Egyptians.
47:1	Then Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren,brothers and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, arehave come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
47:2	And fromhe amongtook hisfive brethrenmen hefrom tookamong fivehis menbrothers, and presented them untoto Pharaoh.
47:3	AndThen Pharaoh said untoto his brethrenbrothers, What is your occupation? AndSo they said untoto Pharaoh, ThyYour servants are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.
47:4	And they said untoto Pharaoh, ToWe have come to sojourn in the land, are we come; for there is no pasture for thyyour servants flocks;, for the famine is soresevere in the land of Canaan:. nowNow, therefore, weplease pray thee, let thyyour servants dwelllive in the land of Goshen.
47:5	AndThen Pharaoh spakesaid untoto Joseph, saying,Your Thy father and thyyour brethrenbrothers arehave come untoto thee:you.
47:6	theThe land of Egypt is beforeat theeyour disposal; settle your father and your brothers in the best of the land, makelet thythem fatherlive and thy brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen; let them dwell: and if thouyou knowestknow any ablecapable men among them, then makeput them rulersin overcharge of my cattlelivestock.
47:7	AndThen Joseph brought in Jacob his father, Jacob and setpresented him beforeto Pharaoh:; and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
47:8	And Pharaoh said untoto Jacob, How many are the days of the years ofhave thyyou lifelived?
47:9	AndSo Jacob said untoto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimagesojourning are aone hundred and thirty; years: few and evilunpleasant have been the days of the years of my life, andnor they have notthey attained unto the days of the years ofthat the life of my fathers inlived during the days of their pilgrimagesojourning.
47:10	And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from thehis presence of Pharaoh.
47:11	AndSo Joseph placedsettled his father and his brethrenbrothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commandedordered.
47:12	And Joseph nourishedprovided his father, and his brethren,brothers and all his fathers household, with breadfood, according to their familieslittle ones.
47:13	AndNow there was no breadfood in all the land;, forbecause the famine was very soresevere, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan faintedlanguished bybecause reason of the famine.
47:14	And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought:, and Joseph brought the money into Pharaohs house.
47:15	And when the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came untoto Joseph, and said, Give us bread:food, for why should we die in thyyour presence? forFor our money failethis gone.
47:16	AndThen Joseph said, Give up your cattle;livestock, and I will give you food for your cattlelivestock, ifsince your money failis gone.
47:17	AndSo they brought their cattlelivestock untoto Joseph;, and Joseph gave them breadfood in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for the asses:donkeys; and he fed them with breadfood in exchange for all their cattlelivestock for that year.
47:18	And when that year was ended, they came untoto him the secondnext year, and said untoto him, We will not hide from my Lord, how that our money is all spent;, and the herds of cattle are my Lords;. thereThere is noughtnothing left infor the sight of my Lord, butexcept our bodies, and our lands:.
47:19	whereforeWhy should we die before thineyour eyes, both we and our land? buyBuy us and our land for breadfood, and we and our land will be servantsslaves untoto Pharaoh:. andSo give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land bemay not be desolate.
47:20	So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh;, for theevery EgyptiansEgyptian sold every man his field, because the famine was soresevere upon them:. andThus the land became Pharaohs.
47:21	And as for the people, he removed them to the cities from one end of theEgypts border of Egypt even to the other end thereof.
47:22	Only the land of the priests bought he did not: buy, for the priests had aan portionallotment from Pharaoh, and didthey eatlived theiroff portionthe allotment which Pharaoh gave them;. whereforeTherefore, they solddid not sell their land.
47:23	Then Joseph said untoto the people, Behold, I have today bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh:; lonow, here is seed for you, and yeyou shallmay sow the land.
47:24	And it shall come to pass at the ingatherings,harvest thatyou ye shall give a fifth untoto Pharaoh, and four partsfifths shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for themthose of your households, and foras food for your little ones.
47:25	AndSo they said, ThouYou hasthave saved our lives:! letLet us find favor in the sight of my Lord, and we will be Pharaohs servantsslaves.
47:26	And Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt untovalid to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth; only the land of the priests alonedid became not become Pharaohs.
47:27	AndNow Israel dweltlived in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen;, and they gatacquired themproperty possessionsin therein,it and were fruitful, and multipliedbecame exceedinglyvery numerous.
47:28	And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years:; so the dayslength of Jacob,Jacobs the years of his life, werewas aone hundred and forty and seven years.
47:29	AndWhen the time drewfor near that Israel mustto die: anddrew near, he called his son Joseph, and said untoto him, IfPlease, nowif I have found favor in thyyour sight, put,place Inow prayyour thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindlywith andme trulyin withkindness me:and buryfaithfulness. mePlease do not, Ibury prayme thee, in Egypt;,
47:30	but when I sleeplie down with my fathers, thouyou shaltshall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingburial place. And he said, I will do as thouyou hasthave said.
47:31	And he said, Swear untoto me:. andSo he swareswore untoto him. AndThen Israel bowed himselfin uponworship at the bedshead headof the bed.
48:1	AndNow it came toabout pass after these things, that oneJoseph saidwas to Josephtold, Behold, thyyour father is sick:. andSo he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim with him.
48:2	AndWhen oneit was told to Jacob, and said, Behold, thyyour son Joseph comethhas untocome thee:to andyou, Israel strengthenedcollected himself,his strength and sat uponup in the bed.
48:3	AndThen Jacob said untoto Joseph, God Almighty appeared untoto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
48:4	and He said untoto me, Behold, I will make theeyou fruitful, and multiply theenumerous, and I will make ofyou thee a company of peoples, and will give this land to thyyour seeddescendants after theeyou for an everlasting possession.
48:5	And now thyyour two sons, who were born untoto theeyou in the land of Egypt before I came untoto theeyou intoin Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh shall be mine, even as Reuben and Simeon, shall be mineare.
48:6	AndBut thyyour issue,offspring that thouhave begettestbeen born after them, shall be thineyours; they shall be called afterby the namenames of their brethrenbrothers in their inheritance.
48:7	AndNow as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died, byto memy sorrow, in the land of Canaan inon the wayjourney, when there was still some distance to comego untoto Ephrath:; and I buried her there inon the way to Ephrath thethat same is, Beth lehemBethlehem.
48:8	AndWhen Israel beheldsaw Josephs sons, andhe said, Who are these?
48:9	And Joseph said untoto his father, They are my sons, whom God hathhas given me here. AndSo he said, Bring them, Ito pray theeme, unto meplease, andthat I willmay bless them.
48:10	Now the eyes of Israel were so dim forfrom age, so that he could not see. AndThen heJoseph brought them nearclose untoto him;, and he kissed them, and embraced them.
48:11	And Israel said untoto Joseph, I hadnever notexpected thought to see thyyour face:, and, lobehold, God hathhas let me see thyyour seedchildren alsoas well.
48:12	AndThen Joseph broughttook them out from between his knees;, and he bowed himself with his face to the earthground.
48:13	And Joseph took them both, Ephraim inwith his right hand toward Israels left hand, and Manasseh inwith his left hand toward Israels right hand, and brought them nearclose untoto him.
48:14	AndBut Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it uponon Ephraimsthe head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand uponon Manassehs head, guidingcrossing his hands, wittingly;although for Manasseh was the first born.
48:15	And he blessed Joseph, and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walkwalked, theThe God who hathhas fedbeen memy shepherd all my life longto unto this day,
48:16	theThe angel who hathhas redeemed me from all evil, blessBless the lads; andAnd letmay my name belive named on in them, andAnd the namenames of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; andAnd letmay themthey grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
48:17	AndWhen when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand uponon theEphraims head of Ephraim, it displeased him:; and he heldgrasped up his fathers hand, to remove it from Ephraims head untoto Manassehs head.
48:18	And Joseph said untoto his father, Not so, my father;, for this one is the first born;. putPlace thyyour right hand uponon his head.
48:19	AndBut his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it; he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great:. howbeitHowever, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seeddescendants shall become a multitude of nations.
48:20	And he blessed them that day, saying, InBy theeyou will Israel blessshall pronounce blessing, saying, May God make theeyou aslike Ephraim and as Manasseh:! andThus he setput Ephraim before Manasseh.
48:21	AndThen Israel said untoto Joseph, Behold, I am about to die:, but God will be with you, and bring you againback untoto the land of your fathers.
48:22	MoreoverAnd I havegive givenyou to thee one portion abovemore thythan brethrenyour brothers, which I took outfrom of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
49:1	AndThen Jacob calledsummoned unto his sons, and said:, GatherAssemble yourselves together, that I may tell you thatwhat which shall befall you in the latterdays daysto come.
49:2	AssembleGather yourselves,together and hear, yeO sons of Jacob; And hearkenlisten untoto Israel your father.
49:3	Reuben, thouyou artare my first born,; myMy might, and the beginning of my strength;, ThePreeminent prein eminence of dignity, and thepreeminent prein eminence of power.
49:4	BoilingUncontrolled over as water, thouyou shaltshall not have thepreeminence, pre eminence; Because thouyou wentestwent up to thyyour fathers bed; Then defiledstyou thoudefiled it: he went up to my couch.
49:5	Simeon and Levi are brethrenbrothers; WeaponsTheir ofswords violence are theirimplements swordsof violence.
49:6	OLet my soul, come not thouenter into their council; UntoLet theirnot assembly, my glory, be notunited thouwith unitedtheir assembly; ForBecause in their anger they slew a manmen, And in their self will they hockedlamed an oxoxen.
49:7	Cursed be their anger, for it wasis fierce; And their wrath, for it wasis cruel:. I will dividedisperse them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel.
49:8	Judah, theeyour brothers shall thypraise brethrenyou; praise:Your Thy hand shall be on the neck of thineyour enemies; ThyYour fathers sons shall bow down beforeto theeyou.
49:9	Judah is a lions whelp; From the prey, my son, thouyou arthave gone up:. He stooped downcouches, he couchedlies down as a lion, And as a lioness;lion, who shalldares rouse him up?
49:10	The sceptrescepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the rulers staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh come;comes, And untoto him shall be the obedience of the peoples be.
49:11	BindingHe ties his foal untoto the vine, And his asssdonkeys colt untoto the choice vine; He hathwashes washed his garments in wine, And his vesturerobes in the blood of grapes:.
49:12	His eyes shallare bedull redfrom with wine, And his teeth white withfrom milk.
49:13	Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the seaseashore; And he shall be for a haven offor ships;, And his borderflank shall be upontoward Sidon.
49:14	Issachar is a strong assdonkey, CouchingLying down between the sheepfolds:.
49:15	AndWhen he saw that a resting place that it was good, And that the land that it was pleasant;, AndHe he bowed his shoulder to bear burdens, And became a servantslave underat taskworkforced labor.
49:17	Dan shall be a serpent in the way, AnA adderhorned snake in the path, That bitethbites the horses heels, So that his rider fallethfalls backward.
49:18	IFor haveThy waitedsalvation forI thy salvationwait, O JehovahLord.
49:19	As for Gad, araiders troop shall pressraid upon him;, But he shall pressraid uponat their heelheels.
49:20	OutAs offor Asher, his breadfood shall be fatrich, And he shall yield royal dainties.
49:21	Naphtali is a hinddoe let loose:, He givethgives goodlybeautiful words.
49:22	Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a fountainspring; HisIts branches run over thea wall.
49:23	The archers havebitterly sorelyattacked grieved him, And shot at him, and persecutedharassed him:;
49:24	But his bow aboderemained in strengthfirm, And thehis arms of his hands were made strongagile, ByFrom the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob From thencethere is the shepherdShepherd, the stoneStone of Israel,
49:25	EvenFrom by the God of thyyour father, who shallhelps help theeyou, And by the Almighty, who shallblesses blessyou thee, With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that couchethlies beneath, Blessings of the breasts, and of the womb.
49:26	The blessings of thyyour father Have prevailedsurpassed above the blessings of my progenitorsancestors UntoUp to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills:; TheyMay shallthey be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of himthe thatone wasdistinguished separateamong from his brethrenbrothers.
49:27	Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; that raveneth: In the morning he shalldevours devour the prey, And atin eventhe evening he shalldivides divide the spoil.
49:28	All these are the twelve tribes of Israel:, and this is itwhat that their father spakesaid untoto them andwhen he blessed them;. He blessed them, every one accordingwith tothe his blessing heappropriate blessedto themhim.
49:29	AndThen he charged them, and said untoto them, I am about to be gathered untoto my people:; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
49:30	in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought along with the field from Ephron the Hittite for a possessionburial of a burying placesite.
49:31	There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; Sarah, there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; Rebekah, and there I buried Leah—
49:32	the field and the cave that is thereinin it, which was purchased from the childrensons of Heth.
49:33	AndWhen when Jacob madefinished an end of charging his sons, he gathereddrew up his feet into the bed, and yieldedbreathed uphis the ghostlast, and was gathered untoto his people.
50:1	AndThen Joseph fell uponon his fathers face, and wept uponover him, and kissed him.
50:2	And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father:. andSo the physicians embalmed Israel.
50:3	AndNow forty days were fulfilledrequired for him;it, for sosuch areis fulfilled the daysperiod ofrequired for embalming:. andAnd the Egyptians wept for him threeseventy score and ten days.
50:4	And when the days of weepingmourning for him were past, Joseph spakespoke untoto the househousehold of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found favor in your eyessight, please speak, Ito pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,
50:5	My father made me swear, saying, LoBehold, I am about to die:; in my grave which I havedug digged for memyself in the land of Canaan, there shaltyou thoushall bury me. Now therefore, please let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father,; andthen I will come againreturn.
50:6	And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury thyyour father, according as he made theeyou swear.
50:7	AndSo Joseph went up to bury his father;, and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house,household and all the elders of the land of Egypt,
50:8	and all the househousehold of Joseph, and his brethren,brothers and his fathers house:household; they left only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen.
50:9	AndThere therealso went up with him both chariots and horsemen:; and it was a very great company.
50:10	AndWhen they came to the threshing floor of Atad, which is beyond the Jordan, and there they lamented there with a very great and soresorrowful lamentation:; and he madeobserved aseven days mourning for his father seven days.
50:11	AndNow when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning inat the threshing floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning tofor the Egyptians:. whereforeTherefore the name of it was callednamed Abel mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan.
50:12	And thus his sons did untofor him according as he commandedhad charged them:;
50:13	for his sons carried him intoto the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre, which Abraham had bought along with the field, for a possessionburial ofsite afrom burying place, of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.
50:14	And after he had buried his father, Joseph returned intoto Egypt, he, and his brethrenbrothers, and all thatwho wenthad gone up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father.
50:15	AndWhen when Josephs brethrenbrothers saw that their father was dead, they said, ItWhat mayif beJoseph thatshould Josephbear willa hategrudge against us, and willpay fullyus requiteback usin full for all the evilwrong which we did untoto him.!
50:16	AndSo they sent a message untoto Joseph, saying, ThyYour father didcharged command before he died, saying,
50:17	SoThus you shall ye say untoto Joseph, ForgivePlease forgive, I praybeg thee nowyou, the transgression of thyyour brethren,brothers and their sin, for that they did untoyou thee evilwrong. And now, weplease pray thee, forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of thyyour father. And Joseph wept when they spakespoke untoto him.
50:18	AndThen his brethrenbrothers also wentcame and fell down before hishim face; and they said, Behold, we are thyyour servants.
50:19	AndBut Joseph said untoto them, FearDo not: be afraid, for am I in theGods place of God?
50:20	And as for you, yeyou meant evil against me;, but God meant it for good, toin bringorder to pass,bring asabout itthis ispresent this dayresult, to savepreserve muchmany people alive.
50:21	NowSo therefore, feardo ye not: be afraid; I will nourishprovide for you, and your little ones. AndSo he comforted them, and spakespoke kindly untoto them.
50:22	AndNow Joseph dweltstayed in Egypt, he, and his fathers house:household, and Joseph lived aone hundred and ten years.
50:23	And Joseph saw Ephraimsthe childrenthird generation of theEphraims thirdsons; generation:also the childrensons also of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were born uponon Josephs knees.
50:24	And Joseph said untoto his brethrenbrothers, I am about to die;, but God will surely visittake care of you, and bring you up outfrom of this land untoto the land which heHe swarepromised on oath to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
50:25	AndThen Joseph tookmade an oath of the childrensons of Israel swear, saying, God will surely visittake care of you, and yeyou shall carry up my bones up from hencehere.
50:26	So Joseph died, beingat athe age of one hundred and ten years; old: and theyhe was embalmed him, and heplaced was put in a coffin in Egypt.
