1:5 havingHe foreordainedpredestined us untoto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ untoto himselfHimself, according to the goodkind pleasureintention of hisHis will,
1:6 to the praise of the glory of hisHis grace, which heHe freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:.
1:7 inIn whomHim we have our redemption through hisHis blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of hisHis grace,
1:8 which heHe madelavished toupon abound toward us. inIn all wisdom and prudence,insight
1:9 makingHe made known untoto us the mystery of hisHis will, according to hisHis goodkind pleasureintention which heHe purposed in himHim

1:11 in whom also we werehave madeobtained aan heritageinheritance, having been foreordainedpredestined according to theHis purpose of him who workethworks all things after the counsel of hisHis will;,
1:12 to the end that we shouldwho bewere unto the praisefirst ofto hishope glory,in weChrist whoshould hadbe beforeto hopedthe inpraise Christ:of His glory.
1:13 inIn whomHim, yeyou also, havingafter heardlistening to the wordmessage of the truth, the gospel of your salvation,β€”in whom, having also believed, yeyou were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
1:14 whichwho is angiven earnestas a pledge of our inheritance, untowith a view to the redemption of Gods own possession, untoto the praise of hisHis glory.
1:15 For this causereason I alsotoo, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which isexists among you, and theyour love whichfor ye show toward all the saints,
1:16 ceasedo not tocease givegiving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers;
1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give untoto you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him;Him.
1:18 havingI pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that yeyou may know what is the hope of hisHis calling, what are the riches of the glory of hisHis inheritance in the saints,
1:19 and what is the exceedingsurpassing greatness of hisHis power totoward us ward who believe,. accordingThese toare thatin accordance with the working of the strength of hisHis might
1:20 which heHe wroughtbrought about in Christ, when heHe raised himHim from the dead, and madeseated himHim to sit at hisHis right hand in the heavenly places,
1:21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this worldage, but also in thatthe whichone is to come:.
1:22 andAnd heHe put all things in subjection under hisHis feet, and gave himHim toas be head over all things to the church,
1:23 which is hisHis body, the fulness of himHim thatwho fillethfills all in all.
2:1 And you did he make alive, when ye were dead throughin your trespasses and sins,
2:2 whereinin yewhich onceyou formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powerspower of the air, of the spirit that is now workethworking in the sons of disobedience;.
2:3 amongAmong whomthem we alsotoo all onceformerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, doingindulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:β€”.
2:4 butBut God, being rich in mercy, forbecause hisof His great love wherewithwith hewhich He loved us,
2:5 even when we were dead throughin our trespassestransgressions, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have ye been saved,
2:6 and raised us up with himHim, and madeseated us to sit with himHim in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus:,
2:7 in order that in the ages to come heHe might show the exceedingsurpassing riches of hisHis grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus:.
2:8 forFor by grace you have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
2:9 not as a result of works, that no manone should gloryboast.
2:10 For we are hisHis workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
2:11 WhereforeTherefore remember, that onceformerly yeyou, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by thatthe whichso is called Circumcision, which is performed in the flesh, made by human hands;
2:12 remember that yeyou were at that time separate from Christ, alienatedexcluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers fromto the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
2:13 But now in Christ Jesus yeyou thatwho onceformerly were far off arehave madebeen nighbrought innear by the blood of Christ.
2:14 For heHe Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and brakebroke down the middlebarrier wall of partitionthe dividing wall,
2:15 havingby abolishedabolishing in hisHis flesh the enmity, evenwhich is the lawLaw of commandments contained in ordinances;, that hein mightHimself createHe inmight himselfmake of the two into one new man, sothus makingestablishing peace;,
2:16 and might reconcile them both in one body untoto God through the cross, by it having slainput to death the enmity thereby:.
2:17 andAnd heHe came and preached peace to you thatwho were far offaway, and peace to themthose thatwho were nigh:near;
2:18 for through himHim we both have our access in one Spirit untoto the Father.
2:19 So then yeyou are no morelonger strangers and sojournersaliens, but yeyou are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of theGods household of God,
2:20 beinghaving been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himselfHimself being the chief corner stone;,
2:21 in whom eachthe severalwhole building, fitlybeing framedfitted together, growethis growing into a holy temple in the Lord;
2:22 in whom yeyou also are buildedbeing built together forinto a habitationdwelling of God in the Spirit.
3:1 For this causereason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus infor behalfthe sake of you Gentiles,β€”
3:2 if soindeed beyou that ye have heard of the dispensationstewardship of thatGods grace of God which was given to me tofor you ward;
3:3 how that by revelation there was made known untoto me the mystery, as I wrote before in few words,brief.
3:4 wherebyAnd by referring to this, when yeyou read, yeyou can perceiveunderstand my understandinginsight ininto the mystery of Christ;,
3:5 which in other generations was not made known untoto the sons of men, as it hathhas now been revealed untoto hisHis holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;
3:6 to witbe specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
3:7 whereofof which I was made a minister, according to the gift of thatGods grace of God which was given to me according to the working of hisHis power.
3:8 UntoTo me, whothe amvery less than the least of all saints, was this grace was given, to preach untoto the Gentiles the unsearchableunfathomable riches of Christ;,
3:9 and to makebring allto menlight see what is the dispensationadministration of the mystery which for ages hathhas been hidhidden in God, who created all things;
3:10 toin theorder intent that now unto the principalitiesmanifold andwisdom theof powersGod inmight thenow heavenly places might be made known through the church to the manifoldrulers wisdomand ofthe God,authorities in the heavenly places.
3:11 accordingThis towas in accordance with the eternal purpose which heHe purposedcarried out in Christ Jesus our Lord:,
3:12 in whom we have boldness and confident access in confidence through our faith in himHim.
3:13 WhereforeTherefore I ask thatyou yenot mayto notlose faintheart at my tribulations foron youyour behalf, whichfor they are your glory.
3:14 For this causereason, I bow my knees untobefore the Father,
3:15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth isderives namedits name,
3:16 that heHe would grant you, according to the riches of hisHis glory, thatto ye may be strengthened with power through hisHis Spirit in the inwardinner man;
3:17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; toand the end that yeyou, being rooted and grounded in love,
3:18 may be strongable to apprehendcomprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
3:19 and to know the love of Christ which passethsurpasses knowledge, that yeyou may be filled untoup to all the fulness of God.
3:20 Now untoto himHim thatwho is able to do exceeding abundantly abovebeyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that workethworks inwithin us,
3:21 untoto himHim be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus untoto all generations forforever ever and ever. Amen.
4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner inof the Lord, beseechentreat you to walk worthilyin a manner worthy of the calling wherewithwith yewhich wereyou have been called,
4:2 with all lowlinesshumility and meeknessgentleness, with longsufferingpatience, forbearingshowing forbearance to one another in love;,
4:3 givingbeing diligencediligent to keeppreserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, evenjust as also yeyou were called in one hope of your calling;
4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.
4:7 But untoto each one of us grace was the grace given according to the measure of theChrists gift of Christ.
4:8 WhereforeTherefore heit saithsays, When heHe ascended on high, heHe led captivitycaptive captivea host of captives, And He gave gifts untoto men.
4:9 Now this expression, He ascended, what isdoes it butmean except that heHe also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?
4:10 He thatwho descended is theHimself same also thatHe who ascended far above all the heavens, that heHe might fill all things.
4:11 And heHe gave some toas be apostles;, and some, as prophets;, and some, as evangelists;, and some, as pastors and teachers;,
4:12 for the perfectingequipping of the saints, untofor the work of ministeringservice, untoto the building up of the body of Christ:;
4:13 tilluntil we all attain untoto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, untoto a fullgrownmature man, untoto the measure of the stature ofwhich belongs to the fulness of Christ:.
4:14 thatAs a result, we mayare be no longer to be children, tossed tohere and frothere by waves, and carried about withby every wind of doctrine, by the sleighttrickery of men, inby craftiness, afterin thedeceitful wiles of errorscheming;
4:15 but speaking the truth in love, maywe are to grow up in all thingsaspects into himHim, who is the head, even Christ;,
4:16 from whom all the whole body, fitlybeing framedfitted and knitheld together throughby that which every joint suppliethsupplies, according to the proper working in due measure of each severalindividual part, makethcauses the increasegrowth of the body untofor the building up of itself in love.
4:17 This I say therefore, and testifyaffirm intogether with the Lord, that yeyou walk no longer walkjust as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanityfutility of their mind,
4:18 being darkened in their understanding, alienatedexcluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardeninghardness of their heart;
4:19 whoand beingthey, pasthaving feelingbecome gavecallous, have given themselves upover to lasciviousnesssensuality, tofor workthe allpractice uncleannessof every kind of impurity with greediness.
4:20 But yeyou did not so learn Christ; in this way,
4:21 if soindeed beyou thathave ye heard him,Him and werehave been taught in himHim, evenjust as truth is in Jesus:,
4:22 that, yein putreference away,to as concerning your former manner of life, you lay aside the old manself, thatwhich waxethis corruptbeing aftercorrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit;,
4:23 and that yeyou be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
4:24 and put on the new manself, thatwhich afterin the likeness of God hathhas been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
4:25 WhereforeTherefore, puttinglaying awayaside falsehood, speak ye truth, each one of you, with his neighbor:, for we are members of one of another.
4:26 Be ye angry, and yet do not sin; do not: let not the sun go down uponon your wrath:anger,
4:27 neitherand givedo placenot togive the devil an opportunity.
4:28 Let him thatwho stolesteals steal no more:longer; but rather let him labor, workingperforming with his own hands thewhat thing that is good, in order that he may have whereofsomething to giveshare towith him thatwho hathhas need.
4:29 Let no corruptunwholesome speechword proceed outfrom of your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edifyingedification asaccording to the need mayof bethe moment, that it may give grace to themthose thatwho hear.
4:30 And grievedo not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, inby whom yeyou were sealed untofor the day of redemption.
4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing,slander be put away from you, along with all malice:.
4:32 andAnd be ye kind to one to another, tenderheartedtender hearted, forgiving each other, evenjust as God also in Christ forgavealso has forgiven you.
5:1 BeTherefore yebe therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
5:2 and walk in love, evenjust as Christ also loved you, and gave himselfHimself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God foras an odor of a sweetfragrant smellaroma.
5:3 But fornication,do andnot alllet uncleanness,immorality or covetousness,any letimpurity itor notgreed even be named among you, as becomethis proper among saints;
5:4 norand there must be no filthiness, norand foolishsilly talkingtalk, or coarse jesting, which are not befitting:fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
5:5 For this yeyou know ofwith a suretycertainty, that no fornicator,immoral noror uncleanimpure person, noror covetous man, who is an idolater, hathhas anyan inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
5:6 Let no manone deceive you with empty words:, for because of these things cometh the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
5:7 BeTherefore do not yebe therefore partakers with them;
5:8 for yeyou were onceformerly darkness, but now you are now light in the Lord:; walk as children of light
5:9 for the fruit of the light isconsists in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
5:10 provingtrying to learn what is well pleasing untoto the Lord;.
5:11 andAnd havedo nonot fellowshipparticipate within the unfruitful worksdeeds of darkness, but ratherinstead even reproveexpose them;
5:12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.
5:13 But all things become visible when they are reprovedexposed are made manifest by the light:, for everything that isbecomes madevisible manifest is light.
5:14 WhereforeFor hethis saithreason it says, Awake, thou that sleepestsleeper, andAnd arise from the dead, andAnd Christ shallwill shine uponon theeyou.
5:15 LookTherefore thereforebe carefullycareful how yeyou walk, not as unwise men, but as wise;,
5:16 redeemingmaking the most of your time, because the days are evil.
5:17 WhereforeSo bethen yedo not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
5:18 And bedo not drunkenget drunk with wine, whereinfor that is riotdissipation, but be filled with the Spirit;,
5:19 speaking to one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
5:20 always giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
5:21 subjectingand yourselvesbe onesubject to one another in the fear of Christ.
5:22 Wives, be insubject subjectionto unto your own husbands, as untoto the Lord.
5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being himself the saviourSavior of the body.
5:24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so letalso the wives alsoought to be to their husbands in everything.
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, evenjust as Christ also loved the church, and gave himselfHimself up for ither;
5:26 that heHe might sanctify ither, having cleansed ither by the washing of water with the word,
5:27 that heHe might present to Himself the church toin himselfall aher glorious churchglory, not having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that itshe should be holy and without blemishblameless.
5:28 EvenSo sohusbands ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He thatwho lovethloves his own wife lovethloves himself:;
5:29 for no manone ever hated his own flesh;, but nourishethnourishes and cherishethcherishes it, evenjust as Christ also does the church;,
5:30 because we are members of hisHis body.
5:31 For this cause shall a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.
5:32 This mystery is great:; but I speakam inspeaking regardwith ofreference to Christ and of the church.
5:33 Nevertheless dolet yeeach alsoindividual severallyamong loveyou eachalso onelove his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see to it that she fearrespect her husband.
6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord:, for this is right.
6:2 Honor thyyour father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise,
6:3 that it may be well with theeyou, and thouthat mayestyou may live long on the earth.
6:4 And, ye fathers, provokedo not provoke your children to wrath:anger; but nurturebring them up in the chasteningdiscipline and admonitioninstruction of the Lord.
6:5 ServantsSlaves, be obedient untoto themthose thatwho are your masters according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singlenessthe sincerity of your heart, as untoto Christ;
6:6 not inby the way of eyeservice, as men pleasers;, but as servantsslaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;.
6:7 withWith good will doingrender service, as untoto the Lord, and not untoto men:,
6:8 knowing that whatsoeverwhatever good thing each one doethdoes, thethis samehe shallwill he receive againback from the Lord, whether heslave be bond or free.
6:9 And, ye masters, do the same things untoto them, and forbeargive up threatening:, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no respectpartiality of persons with himHim.
6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of hisHis might.
6:11 Put on the wholefull armor of God, that yeyou may be able to stand firm against the wilesschemes of the devil.
6:12 For our wrestlingstruggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalitiesrulers, against the powers, against the world rulersforces of this darkness, against the spiritual hostsforces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
6:13 WhereforeTherefore, take up the wholefull armor of God, that yeyou may be able to withstandresist in the evil day, and, having done alleverything, to stand firm.
6:14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
6:16 withalin addition to all, taking up the shield of faith, wherewithwith yewhich shallyou will be able to quenchextinguish all the fieryflaming dartsmissiles of the evil one.
6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:.
6:18 withWith all prayer and supplicationpetition prayingpray at all seasonstimes in the Spirit, and watchingwith thereuntothis in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and supplicationpetition for all the saints,
6:19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given untoto me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
6:21 But that yeyou also may know about my affairscircumstances, how I doam doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shallwill make everything known to you all things:.
6:22 whomAnd I have sent untohim to you for this very purpose, so that yeyou may know ourabout stateus, and that he may comfort your hearts.
6:24 Grace be with all themthose thatwho love our Lord Jesus Christ with a love incorruptible.
