1:1	ThatWhat which was from the beginning, thatwhat which we have heard, thatwhat which we have seen with our eyes, thatwhat which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of lifeLife
1:2	and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declareproclaim untoto you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested untoto us;
1:3	thatwhat which we have seen and heard declare we untoproclaim to you also, that yeyou also may have fellowship with us:; yea, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with hisHis Son Jesus Christ:.
1:4	andAnd these things we write, so that our joy may be made fullcomplete.
1:5	And this is the message which we have heard from himHim and announce untoto you, that God is light, and in himHim there is no darkness at all.
1:6	If we say that we have fellowship with himHim and yet walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not practice the truth:;
1:7	but if we walk in the light, as heHe Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one with another, and the blood of Jesus hisHis Son cleansethcleanses us from all sin.
1:8	If we say that we have no sin, we deceiveare deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1:9	If we confess our sins, heHe is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1:10	If we say that we have not sinned, we make himHim a liar, and hisHis word is not in us.
2:1	My little children, I am writing these things writeto I unto you that yeyou may not sin. And if anyanyone man sinsins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:;
2:2	and heHe Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
2:3	And herebyby this we know that we have come to know himHim, if we keep hisHis commandments.
2:4	HeThe thatone saithwho says, I have come to know himHim, and keepethdoes not hiskeep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
2:5	but whosowhoever keepethkeeps hisHis word, in him verily hath the love of God has truly been perfected. HerebyBy this we know that we are in himHim:
2:6	hethe thatone saithwho says he abidethabides in himHim ought himself also to walk evenin the same manner as heHe walked.
2:7	Beloved, noI am not writing a new commandment writeto I unto you, but an old commandment which yeyou have had from the beginning:; the old commandment is the word which yeyou have heard.
2:8	AgainOn the other hand, I am writing a new commandment writeto I unto you, which thing is true in himHim and in you;, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shinethshining.
2:9	HeThe thatone saithwho says he is in the light and hatethyet hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now.
2:10	HeThe thatone lovethwho loves his brother abidethabides in the light, and there is no occasioncause offor stumbling in him.
2:11	But hethe thatone hatethwho hates his brother is in the darkness, and walkethwalks in the darkness, and knowethdoes not whitherknow where he goeth,is going because the darkness hathhas blinded his eyes.
2:12	I writeam untowriting to you, my little children, because your sins are forgiven you for hisHis names sake.
2:13	I writeam untowriting to you, fathers, because yeyou know himHim who ishas been from the beginning. I writeam untowriting to you, young men, because yeyou have overcome the evil one. I have written untoto you, little children, because yeyou know the Father.
2:14	I have written untoto you, fathers, because yeyou know himHim who ishas been from the beginning. I have written untoto you, young men, because yeyou are strong, and the word of God abidethabides in you, and yeyou have overcome the evil one.
2:15	LoveDo not love the world, neithernor the things that are in the world. If anyanyone manloves love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
2:16	For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vaingloryboastful pride of life, is not offrom the Father, but is offrom the world.
2:17	And the world passethis passing away, and thealso lustits thereof:lusts; but hethe thatone doethwho does the will of God abidethabides for everforever.
2:18	Little childrenChildren, it is the last hour:; and just as yeyou heard that antichrist comethis coming, even now many antichrists have there arisen; manyfrom antichrists;this whereby we know that it is the last hour.
2:19	They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continuedremained with us:; but they went out, in order that theyit might be madeshown manifest that they all are not of us.
2:20	AndBut yeyou have an anointing from the Holy One, and yeyou know all thingsknow.
2:21	I have not written untoto you because yeyou knowdo not know the truth, but because yeyou do know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
2:22	Who is the liar but hethe thatone deniethwho denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, eventhe heone thatwho deniethdenies the Father and the Son.
2:23	WhosoeverWhoever deniethdenies the Son, thedoes samenot hathhave not the Father:; hethe thatone confessethwho confesses the Son hathhas the Father also.
2:24	As for you, let that abide in you which yeyou heard from the beginning. If thatwhat whichyou ye heard from the beginning abideabides in you, yeyou also shallwill abide in the Son, and in the Father.
2:25	And this is the promise which heHe promisedHimself made to us,: eveneternal the life eternal.
2:26	These things I have I written untoto you concerning themthose thatwho wouldare leadtrying to deceive you astray.
2:27	And as for you, the anointing which yeyou received offrom himHim abidethabides in you, and yeyou have no need notfor thatanyone anyto one teach you; but as hisHis anointing teachethteaches you concerningabout all things, and is true, and is nonot a lie, and evenjust as it has taught you, yeyou abide in himHim.
2:28	And now, my little children, abide in him; thatHim, ifso hethat shallwhen beHe manifestedappears, we may have boldness,confidence and not beshrink ashamedaway beforefrom himHim in shame at hisHis coming.
2:29	If yeyou know that heHe is righteous, yeyou know that everyeveryone one also thatwho doethpractices righteousness is begottenborn of himHim.
3:1	BeholdSee whathow mannergreat ofa love the Father hathhas bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this causereason the world knowethdoes not know us not, because it knewdid himnot notknow Him.
3:2	Beloved, now we are we children of God, and it ishas not yetappeared madeas manifestyet what we shall be. We know that, ifwhen heHe shall be manifestedappears, we shall be like him;Him, forbecause we shall see himHim evenjust as heHe is.
3:3	And everyeveryone onewho thathas hath this hope setfixed on himHim purifiethpurifies himself, evenjust as heHe is pure.
3:4	EveryEveryone onewho thatpractices doeth sin doeth also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
3:5	And yeyou know that heHe wasappeared manifestedin order to take away sins; and in himHim there is no sin.
3:6	WhosoeverNo abidethone who abides in himHim sinnethsins; not:no whosoeverone sinnethwho hathsins nothas seen him,Him neitheror knowethknows himHim.
3:7	MyLittle little children, let no manone leaddeceive you; astray:the heone thatwho doethpractices righteousness is righteous, evenjust as heHe is righteous:;
3:8	hethe thatone doethwho practices sin is of the devil; for the devil sinnethhas sinned from the beginning. ToThe thisSon endof wasGod theappeared Sonfor ofthis God manifestedpurpose, that heHe might destroy the works of the devil.
3:9	WhosoeverNo one who is begottenborn of God doethpractices no sin, because hisHis seed abidethabides in him:; and he cannot sin, because he is begottenborn of God.
3:10	InBy this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil are obvious: whosoeveranyone doethwho does not practice righteousness is not of God, neithernor hethe thatone lovethwho does not love his brother.
3:11	For this is the message which yeyou have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:;
3:12	not as Cain, who was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And whereforefor slewwhat reason did he slay him? Because his worksdeeds were evil, and his brothers were righteous.
3:13	MarvelDo not marvel, brethren, if the world hatethhates you.
3:14	We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He thatwho lovethdoes not abidethlove abides in death.
3:15	WhosoeverEveryone hatethwho hates his brother is a murderer:; and yeyou know that no murderer hathhas eternal life abiding in him.
3:16	HerebyWe know welove loveby this, becausethat heHe laid down hisHis life for us:; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
3:17	But whosowhoever hathhas the worlds goods, and beholdethbeholds his brother in need, and shuttethcloses up his compassionheart fromagainst him, how dothdoes the love of God abide in him?
3:18	MyLittle little children, let us not love inwith word, neitheror with the tongue;, but in deed and truth.
3:19	HerebyWe shall we know by this that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before him:Him,
3:20	becausein ifwhatever our heart condemncondemns us,; for God is greater than our heart, and knowethknows all things.
3:21	Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us not, we have boldnessconfidence towardbefore God;
3:22	and whatsoeverwhatever we ask we receive offrom himHim, because we keep hisHis commandments and do the things that are pleasing in hisHis sight.
3:23	And this is hisHis commandment, that we should believe in the name of hisHis Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, evenjust as heHe gavecommanded us commandment.
3:24	And hethe thatone keepethwho hiskeeps His commandments abidethabides in himHim, and heHe in him. And hereby we know by this that heHe abidethabides in us, by the Spirit whichwhom heHe gavehas given us.
4:1	Beloved, believedo not believe every spirit, but provetest the spirits, to see whether they are offrom God; because many false prophets arehave gone out into the world.
4:2	HerebyBy this you know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confessethconfesses that Jesus Christ ishas come in the flesh is offrom God:;
4:3	and every spirit that confessethdoes not confess Jesus is not offrom God:; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, whereofof yewhich you have heard that it cometh;is coming, and now it is already in the world already.
4:4	YeYou are offrom God, my little children, and have overcome them:; because greater is heHe thatwho is in you than he thatwho is in the world.
4:5	They are offrom the world:; therefore they speak they as offrom the world, and the world hearethlistens to them.
4:6	We are offrom God:; he thatwho knowethknows God hearethlistens to us; he who is not offrom God hearethdoes not listen to us not. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
4:7	Beloved, let us love one another:, for love is offrom God; and everyeveryone onewho thatloves loveth is begottenborn of God, and knowethknows God.
4:8	HeThe thatone lovethwho does not knowethlove does not know God;, for God is love.
4:9	HereinBy wasthis the love of God was manifested in us, that God hathhas sent hisHis only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through himHim.
4:10	HereinIn this is love, not that we loved God, but that heHe loved us, and sent hisHis Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
4:12	No manone hathhas beheld God at any time:; if we love one another, God abidethabides in us, and hisHis love is perfected in us:.
4:13	herebyBy this we know that we abide in himHim and heHe in us, because heHe hathhas given us of hisHis Spirit.
4:14	And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father hathhas sent the Son to be the SaviourSavior of the world.
4:15	WhosoeverWhoever shallconfesses confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abidethabides in him, and he in God.
4:16	And we have come to know and have believed the love which God hathhas infor us. God is love;, and hethe thatone abidethwho abides in love abidethabides in God, and God abidethabides in him.
4:17	HereinBy isthis, love madeis perfectperfected with us, that we may have boldnessconfidence in the day of judgment; because as heHe is, even so also are we in this world.
4:18	There is no fear in love:; but perfect love castethcasts out fear, because fear hathinvolves punishment;, and hethe thatone fearethwho fears is not madeperfected perfect in love.
4:19	We love, because heHe first loved us.
4:20	If asomeone man saysays, I love God, and hatethhates his brother, he is a liar:; for hethe thatone lovethwho does not love his brother whom he hathhas seen, cannot love God whom he hathhas not seen.
4:21	And this commandment we have we from himHim, that hethe one who lovethloves God should love his brother also.
5:1	WhosoeverWhoever believethbelieves that Jesus is the Christ is begottenborn of God:; and whosoeverwhoever lovethloves himthe thatFather begatloves loveththe himchild alsoborn that is begotten of himHim.
5:2	HerebyBy this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and doobserve hisHis commandments.
5:3	For this is the love of God, that we keep hisHis commandments:; and hisHis commandments are not grievousburdensome.
5:4	For whatsoeverwhatever is begottenborn of God overcomethovercomes the world:; and this is the victory that hathhas overcome the world, even our faith.
5:5	And who is hethe thatone overcomethwho overcomes the world, but he thatwho believethbelieves that Jesus is the Son of God?
5:6	This is hethe thatone who came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood.
5:7	And it is the Spirit thatwho bearethbears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
5:8	For there are three whothat bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood:; and the three agreeare in oneagreement.
5:9	If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:; for the witness of God is this, that heHe hathhas borne witness concerning hisHis Son.
5:10	HeThe thatone believethwho onbelieves in the Son of God hathhas the witness in him:himself; hethe thatone believethwho does not believe God hathhas made himHim a liar;, because he hathhas not believed in the witness that God hathhas borne concerning hisHis Son.
5:11	And the witness is this, that God gavehas untogiven us eternal life, and this life is in hisHis Son.
5:12	He thatwho hathhas the Son hathhas the life; he thatwho hathdoes not have the Son of God hathdoes not have the life.
5:13	These things I have I written untoto you, thatwho yebelieve mayin knowthe thatname yeof havethe eternalSon lifeof God, evenin untoorder you that believeyou onmay theknow namethat ofyou thehave Soneternal of Godlife.
5:14	And this is the boldnessconfidence which we have towardbefore himHim, that, if we ask anything according to hisHis will, heHe hearethhears us:.
5:15	andAnd if we know that heHe hearethhears us whatsoeverin whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitionsrequests which we have asked offrom himHim.
5:16	If anyanyone mansees see his brother sinningcommitting a sin not untoleading to death, he shall ask, and God will givefor him give life forto themthose thatwho commit sin not untoleading to death. There is a sin untoleading to death:; notI concerning this do Inot say that he should make request for this.
5:17	All unrighteousness is sin:, and there is a sin not untoleading to death.
5:18	We know that whosoeverno one who is begottenborn of God sinneth notsins; but heHe thatwho was begottenborn of God keepethkeeps himself,him and the evil one touchethdoes not touch him not.
5:19	We know that we are of God, and the whole world liethlies in the power of the evil one.
5:20	And we know that the Son of God ishas come, and hathhas given us an understanding, in order that we might know himHim thatwho is true, and we are in himHim thatwho is true, even in hisHis Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
5:21	MyLittle little children, guard yourselves from idols.
