FreeTextBox 3.0 Release

FreeTextBox 3.0 is doing pretty well. Since the 3.0 release a two weeks ago, we’ve had a several thousand downloads. And a fair number of “Pro” licenses have been purchased since it was available this weekend. Thanks for making FreeTextBox such a success!

  1. Congrats! FTB is a wonderful control and very useful. Also, I commend you for making available a free version that contains much of the Pro versions main functionality.

    Now, back to finish integrating 3.0 in my own project.

    However, my InsertTable is not working, it generates a Javascript error.

    Any idea?

  6. Dear Mr. John Dyer,

    I have been using FTB since about this time last year and have been waiting with baited breath for this release. My first implementation was for https://fieldservices.saic.com , an IT support site military and government healthcare worldwide. SAIC or Science Applications International Corporation, an employee owned Fortune 100 Company still uses it (the free version) even though they don’t use me anymore.

    Accolades aside, I have concerns about the Pro License Agreement. I am trying to be profitable (isn’t everyone) and have been using FTB for a few small business projects I have been working on. I am also re-writing my site with a lot of plans for using FTB’s advanced features. I am using discountasp.net for one site and GoDaddy for the rest. I will probably move everything to GoDaddy soon. Are you saying I cannot use the advanced features on any of my GoDaddy sites including my own? This is a big let down. Is there any chance of you soliciting GoDaddy to buy a Pro License so we can continue our development efforts?

  7. Just as you’re trying to be profitable for your efforts so is this team. C’mon… the licensing fees are not that large. Just buy it and be done with it!!!

    we are currently using your editor in Kentico CMS (http://www.kentico.com“>http://www.kentico.com). We would like to upgrade to version 3.0 and purchase the distribution/source code license. Unfortunately, PayPal does not support payments from our country. Could you please tell me if there’s some other way how to pay (Share-it or other software registration service)?
